And then u mess Mr. Dean went over the uh digital ticketing and now we have to pay for the new law says we have to do cash also with the digital ticketing. Uh he talked about the miden swim meet. I do not have the results of that. And he talked about the girls basketball game. I do not have the results of that also. Uh, he also talked about stupid getting a thousand points boys basketball team and I do not know the gentleman's name. >> There you go. Um the uh I asked about the ski club and I also

Okay. >> So, um the finance committee meeting, uh I'm sorry. The finance committee met last week and Miss Chuchuli, our chief financial officer, provided an engine update on projected budget analysis for year 2026 2027 and um she went over balancing expenditures to eliminate our plan deficit by year 2028. That's all
I ask. >> That's ground. Yeah, I just have notes on. Um, hi. So, we have our presentation for February. Sarah Lindamouth received snacks from the Hannah Pantry to open a snack shack so teachers can drop or can shop for their class in case a student doesn't have a snack from home. And then Slack also kicked off their American Heart Association fundraiser with an assembly to educate students on heart healthy activities in the American Heart Association's mission. Ultimate staff attended Hannah Pantries trivia night and got second place. They hope to see you at the next fundraiser on March 22nd. Thomas Ultman held their PTO sponsored kindness parties focusing on all student accomplishments, kindness, and gratitude. On February 8th, the PBS committee had our Super Bowl appreciation event for staff. Thanks to the Thomas Holtzman PTO for
helping out for helping get word out to families who showed up with some wonderful soups. The Susana Township Middle School choir opened the PA outdoor show with the national anthem and participated in demonstrations provided by the PA Game Commission and the PA Fish and Boat Commission. As Huma sixth grade students also took a field trip to the Whitaker Center to to participate in new exhibits there. They received a tour of the capital and got to eat lunch at the capital complex. Sths held their annual TF application application assistance day. On applicance day, 22 seniors showed up and heard from TAC representatives to help our seniors access scholarships and secondary education. >> Thank you association. I don't see anyone education. I don't area community college. No report county tax collection. report technical school. I do have
a report, Mr. President. As always, uh it was a eventful week uh and week prior at Dalton County Tech. We had the sweetheart dinner that we normally have every year, only week 11, but unfortunately prior to that one week, um culinary students lost their instructor. It was a pretty tragic, pretty uh sad event that happened. um uh Miss uh Redford and Redford was 20 years with Dolphin County Technical School and she passed away uh ironically and unfortunately teaching her children. She was there um and had an incident um and they lost her a few days later. Um so that was unfortunate. Um but uh you know she the kids did well. They they they trudged on and uh baked a wonderful dinner and made that dinner in honor of her. Lamb, chopped, shrimp, the whole
the whole works. They served it and they kept their heads up the whole time. So, but uh moving on. Uh I have a slide presentation. Uh I just want to start with student of the month, Sydney Dane. Not here. There we go. >> There she goes. That was our 11th grade student of the month. Uh Sydney Dave. She was in masonry. She works in masonry now. Um not many young ladies do masonry or do brick work or know how to do pointing. Does anyone know what pointing is? Um so, you know, those are things that uh those are skills that, you know, most men do, but you know, she's she's doing well. She's doing really well. Um um moving on to a project that the masonry uh and building instructor, Mr. Brightitville, you all may
know that name. They were given a house um the mansion uh in at uh Harrisburg Penn State campus, Penn State Harrisburg campus to work on over the next few years. They're going to design it for uh a lower cost housing for the students that come into Penn State Harrisburg. So, they were given this mansion that was formerly used by the president's, you know, that moved into or the president that moved into initially for Harrisburg uh for the Harrisburg campus. So, it's been sitting empty dormant for about three years now. They've only been using it for storage. So, the school gave this to Dalton County Tech to work on. They asked our school to work on it and turn it into housing. So, they're going to make units, a few different units out of this particular
uh property. They don't know how many units yet, but it's going to at least, you know, house maybe 10 or 12 students at a lower cost opposed to actually living on campus. Um, it's a project that they said may take a couple of years uh to complete because you're working on a student's time. Obviously, they can't be there all day every day because they have studies, but um yeah, so all facets are going to be covered, you know, the masonry, the the landscaping, the electrical, you know, the HVAC, the you know, the the everything. So that that's a wonderful project that they were given and everything is going to be funded by the university. So they're just using the school for labor. Um and but they're going to get a lot of experience out of
doing it. Um my next my next slide uh as you can see >> y sorry >> no it's okay. All right. One more. >> Does anyone know who this is? One guess Lincoln University. >> That's the Marshall. >> Wouldn't be >> Oh, >> yes. Wait, it's right there. >> I know. Uh, that's Garrett August Morgan. Uh, a famous inventor. You can read this if you'd like. Uh he was born March 4th, 1877 to July 27th, 1963. Was an American inventor, businessman, community leader. Uh his most notable inventions were of course, you know, protective smoke hood. In other words, a gas mask that hung to the ground. So the pressure air was of course towards the bottom of your near your feet. Uh so he made a filtration system that actually you were able to breathe
in the mines and things like that. Um that was in 1916 for construction workers. um a hair straightening cream ladies and other hair care products. Uh Morgan created successfully, you know, called the GA Morgan hair refining company uh based in all hair products and things of that nature. So these are things that, you know, a lot of people don't know, uh as well as a stoplight. We all see his invention every single day and we're going to see it going home. Uh so I since it's Black History Month, I thought I'd throw that in there uh to make note of this important person in our history. Um and that's what I have for my report. Thank you in the meeting unit. >> Um I'll be attending the meeting on Thursday, February 26 for the first
time since uh Mrs. Hill has stepped down and um the board has appointed me to serve in her state. So representing for our students um who are attending the intermediate and our townships there commission >> uh superintendent. >> Yes. Thank you Mr. Al. So ask Michael presentation. >> Wait a minute. I'm sorry. Miss Cross. >> Oh she's here. Yes. >> Miss Cross. You want you want you have something to say? >> No. just >> Yes. >> Good evening everyone. Um, as you're aware, I'm one of the board of commissioners leaison to the school board. This is one of my first meetings for 2026, but I do plan to attend um a little more regularly than the previous year. um myself and I think Fred Fona as well as you may have added another commissioner to
share those duties. So this is my pleasure to be here. If you have any questions related to the U township, feel free to reach out to me or any one of our commissioners. Thank you. >> Yes. So, we just have a few announcements. Um, briefly, uh, our girls basketball, uh, team will be playing big spring this Thursday at 7 p.m. We will be at home. Uh, they have made it to the playoffs. We are super proud of them. I encourage you to come out and cheer them on. We also have uh, some of our wrestlers um, who are moving on um, as well. And so those uh, young people are there. We are extremely proud of all of our wrestlers. Um I know that uh this is our what year for our girls wrestling team?
Is this the first full year? >> Second. Okay. The first year they were they had a different coach and now they have their own coach. So yes, super proud of them. >> Tripleach. >> We have triple. >> Yeah, it was last year. >> Even better. Even better. All right. Thank you. And the next slide, please. Uh, Sunday was actually SRO appreciation day. I'm not sure why his schools are on Sunday, but that's okay. Uh, we did post um recognizing our own SRO, uh, Officer Wolf, and want to again give him a shout out this evening, thanking him for all that he does. He is stationed in our high school, but he does visit all of our buildings regularly. And I also want to give uh a special shout out to Chief Martin uh at the
township because he requires as a part of their daily routine all of his officers to visit our schools. And in fact uh one day recently uh we had a visitor in the building who wasn't accustomed to that and they said something to a staff person. They were like the police are here and the staff person said yes. Like this is a part of their routine. So, like we want them to be here just walking around um getting to know the children and the staff just so that they're a regular part of what we do every day. So, we want to thank Chief Martin for that because not all uh departments do that. So, thank him for that. Last one. All right. This is a very special slide. I want to thank um our student uh
board representatives. Uh these are pictures out of Canvas, so forgive us if you don't like it. every time we put every time we take a picture out of our student information system, the students are like, "Oh my god, where'd you get that?" I'm sorry. It's the one that we have. So, um that said, we recognized our school board representatives in January and typically we recognize uh the adults at a different time than the students because they're usually not here on that night, but that night you definitely were here. Um and we did not give you a shout out as well. So, I want to thank Miss Hatcher just for reminding me uh with all that's going on. So, thank you to her. But tonight, we do want to recognize our student uh schoolboard representative. So,
um I'm going to call you each down. And I know that um you'll have family here hopefully. And um each of you will receive the limited edition uh blanket, but it says student school board representative. So, this is very very limited edition. All right. There are only two of these made. So, >> so when we uh call you down, uh we're going to have you come join us. So, we will start. Mr. Ross, if you want to join me, please. And families, we will take a group picture first. And you are welcome to come and take your own individual. Thank you. >> So, we're going to uh start with Sua. Sua please come down. Sua wrapped well and her um her certificate says honoring student board. Let me put on the screen so that the
community can see it. Can you all see that? >> Yes. >> Okay. Very good. So it says, "Honoring student school board representative certificate of appreciation for Suha Rockwell for serving as the senior student representative for the 202526 school year." So this is Sua's last year with us. She felt it during Thank you. And next we have our very own. This is why I have my hand. Can't read my hand. Okay. So, we have Mari Johnson. I'm going to show yours as well, so everybody in the community can see this is your certificate. And we want to thank you as well for serving. So next year he will be our senior representative. >> Yes, we have him for another year. Thank you. All right. So, uh, Miss Annarie, we can give him a plan, a round
of applause. >> Can we get one with both? >> Yeah, we're going to get both. And then families, if you would like, you good. >> Am I okay? Go that way. >> You're good. Thank you. Again, Mr. President, that concludes my >> Thank you. >> Hey, Eric, I think you got canon rappers on your chair. You can tell everybody Oh, next up is to approve our agenda. Can I have a motion to approve the agenda for the night? >> Johnson moves. >> Okay. Johnson. Okay. Johnson and Eric second. No. No. Who was that? >> Oh. Oh. Okay. So the move and second any discussion all in favor opposing in the public anythingbody sign up. >> Can you forgot to get other on. >> Okay. >> No one. >> Board comments. >> Any board comments? >>
Uh just wanted to recognize that we're continuing to celebrate Black History Month. And as uh Mr. RS mentioned who uh mourned the loss of the Reverend Jesse Jackson who was the founder of the Rainbow Push Coalition and who was uh on the balcony at the Rain Motel on April 4th, 1968 when Dr. King was assassinated. He had uh worked tires tirelessly for civil rights for all communities and he was considered well he was widely regarded as a world statesman traveling to uh different nations to help to negotiate hostages and that kind of thing and also ran for president twice in 1984 and 1988. So Jesse Jackson walked so that Barack Obama could run. So we want to um acknowledge his life and his service also that today is uh Marty Gro or fat Tuesday in
the beginning of the holy season of Lent for those who are of the Christian faith. And that is all. >> Anybody else? I just wanted to say uh uh um at our education committee meeting and about the math scores and uh I just wanted you to know I have a habit of seeing young kids out doing things and I asked questions and I so had to ask this little guy. I was at the dollar store. So I said uh right off I said man I said what's 9 * 9 right away said 81 without a hesitation a little fifth grader and so whatever they were buying I bought it for him and I said what school you go to he said Thomas Holman said oh to myself and I said to the grandmother said she
said oh he loves math but the the thing about it Dr. Mark mentioned this at our committee meeting about the mass forge and then when you can pick kids out of random, they don't know who you are, you don't know who they are and they give you a feedback like that being a fifth grader that you know that some good things are happening in the district and and sometimes people don't think good things are happening in the district, but kids will tell you what's happening in the district because they're learning and the scores are going up. So, whatever you're doing and and a shout out to Hostman, keep doing it because the kids are learning. So, that's my comment. Next up, we have minutes from the 5th 20th that need approved. Do we want to
take one at a time or both of them? >> Both. Okay. Um, can I have a motion to approve the minutes for January 5th and January 20th? Johnson moves items 58 and 5. >> Second move in second. Any discussion? >> All in favor? >> I post that. personnel. >> Is there anything anything in personnel you want to pull out? >> It must be H. >> Okay. A through H. Johnson moves items 7 A 7H. Second and move in second. Any discussion? All in favor? >> I >> oppose. Finance. Anything in finance that we need to pull out? Is any contract or anything? A I >> A through I. Okay. Johnson moves items A through I. >> Move a second. Any discussion? All in favor? >> Oppose. Is that contract A through F. >> Just talk
about the finance committee. A through F. >> A Edber second. Move in. Second. All in favor? >> I >> oppose. School calendar. Nothing on the policy. School calendar. Anything on the school calendar? This 25th? >> We had to make an update to account for the day that um we had to close Sarin and Thomas. That day is a day that students did not attend on calendar. >> Oh. cuz I just see that 25 26. >> Okay, everybody understand that? >> So, we just want to go ahead. Wait a minute. No, let's get a motion on the floor. >> They're moving second. Any discussion? >> Just point clarification. This was the the day that we're adjusting. That was a that was a snow day. >> Transportation. Remember at the beginning of the year, >> okay, >>
those two buildings were impacted by transportation, >> right? >> Yeah, that's the day. >> We're not virtual. We did not transition virtual. >> No. >> Okay. >> So, we'll just be out for that day. >> Correct. So, we want to make that out. So, we're just not that missing that day. So, will that put us at like 179 days? >> No. 177. We'll still have the hours for PT. So, we just notify them and we've moved in our calendar. And why? Yep. Everybody got that? All righty. All in favor? >> Opposed? Eyes have it. Nothing on new business. Want to make the honor of a journey? >> Second move in second. All in favor? >> I oppose. Eyes have known we we're done at 7:35. >> Oh.
