Executive session personnel items real estate is discussed. Yes. presentation. >> Okay. Uh legislator report. >> Uh just a couple of couple of announcements. Obviously, uh few few big updates coming out of Harrisburg. Obviously, the end of the impass last week resulted in a just over $50 billion budget. Um I think some of some of those um those negotiated increases to the educ to the basic education funding still working out. Hopefully we'll have

a more detailed report at the next education committee meeting. Um but two things of note some of the sign charter reform bill looking at the commonwealth looking at savings of roughly 178 million that included uh some of the provisions to cap um cap spending um for charter school as part of their reform package. Uh in a uh related note, I would um also mention Senate Bill 246 was signed by the governor last week. This is um this is the bill requiring school districts to inform parents or guardians about incidents which are weapons brought to school um or preventive activities. So we had um work on the next That's all and grounds or anything student reps. So, first starting out with Sarah Lindmouth and Aarter Primary School. Um, fun was had by the students and staff. Um, Slack also had its monthly student of the month celebration for October. School counselor Miss Long planned a fun activity with bubbles and music for each student who was chosen for each classroom. This month I colored a turtle for firefighters and wrote thank you to them. If you remember from our September presentation, the firefighters came um and they were delivered to the progress fire station. >> Thomas Holtzman Elementary Schoolman held their fifth annual trunk or treat event on October on October 30th. This was co-sponsored by the the

Oh no county technical. I missed that. Okay. So, I was able to attend the meeting on November 12th. Ass Township had a senior sulab student of the month. Um, their fall play, the puffs or puffs who will be starting November 21st at 7 p.m. Students continue to free the opportunities that fall offers them so that they're able to gain hands-on experience through their training. If you're interested in pushing the mission forward of vocational training within empowering the community, please considering joining BCTS educational foundation. And a final reminder that DC also offers training for adults and not just students in the district. >> No report. Like I said, I'll

be attending the board meeting on Thursday. >> Oh, okay. Report for superintendent. Yes. So, my um presentation this evening um Mr. Bishop, if you go to the next two to the third slide, please. Nope. Yep. There we go. All right. So my report um this evening uh please if you have um the um giant grocery store uh free turkey coupon that we typically uh get we receive if you have I believe it's at least 400 points the Hannah's pantry would love to receive that donation. Um, but if you do not have those points at Giant, um, they are receiving free turkeys for families. They also need a number of side items that our families are going to be benefiting from. There is a distribution on November the 22nd. There is a QR code if you

would like to donate um, money to those families um, at least to the pantry and they will be able to share with those families. So feel free to drop off those food items. Um every year they serve a number of our student families as well as individuals in the community and we do hope that um they will be able to do that again uh especially given how some folks are struggling most recently. So just a reminder for that. Go to the next slide please. Uh we do want to um recognize our Wales partnership uh the school from Wales return. Uh we mentioned this in our um spring newsletter that went out to the community. Those folks came back again to learn from um our school district in terms of how we support families. Uh we

were super excited to have them come and join us. They also had a student forum. Uh they always enjoy speaking to our our students and one of our students just happened to be our own Su Hawk um who was at the table. She did a very good job uh working with them. they shadowed us and um they are actually looking for to provide funding so that a number of our students can actually go visit their school in Wales. Um so they're working with us to partner for those funds and so we are looking forward to that opportunity as well. So of course we definitely want to acknowledge um our highlights of sports the next one. So, the playoff game. Um, first of all, we want to congratulate our um football team uh for the amazing

win that they had last week. Uh, we do want to um share with everyone that our team will be playing Twin Valley and there will be a team sendoff from the high school at 3:45 uh near the gym entrance at the high school. And I'm going to allow Dr. Martin to share all the details about where they're going, where they're playing, um time for the game, all the wonderful things. >> Yeah, the game took 77 p.m. kickoff. El located Myerstown 53 minute drive. Um the address and time will be on the website where you also be able to purchase your online ticketing. That's >> any questions? Are they doing the red out? >> The red out for the game? >> Yes. >> We coordinated um if we're going to coordinate a color or anything yet.

I know they're still putting things in place as far as possible like a pepper county type of things. So, Mr. game. Absolutely. >> And I believe you said something about >> trying to get a fan bus that >> that want to attend are able to be transported there as well. So >> yeah, >> and of course we can't let any other questions. We can't let this slide go by without acknowledging our own Amari Johnson who is at the end of the table. He is one of our football players. So congratulations at our next meeting in I think it's December 3rd, >> I believe it is. >> Yes, >> is a reorganization meeting. So that will um that'll be after the playoff game. So we'll be able to recognize them for their season and hopefully for

a win. All right. So, they will be coming at our next meeting. Coming to our next meeting. >> Is it December 1st? >> December. >> Second. >> December second is our next meeting. >> Yes. December 2nd. All right. It is confirmed. Very good. And I think that concludes my report. So, thank you. >> So, that's that. The next up is to approve the agenda for tonight. I get a motion to approve the agenda. motion. Second move and second. Any discussion? All in favor? >> Oppos. Just want to congratulate all the board members full terms. uh because uh we the majority of them were placing we're were finishing out uh executing terms that uh they're now on for so nice to see >> um I would just like to congratulate uh coach Joe and the football

team for going what are we 12 or 13 >> 12 and 12 and no 12 and uh I mean that's impressive remarkable and one of the things that uh we that had been said was that we wanted wins. We wanted wins. We wanted wins. Well, we got wins. And so I just want to acknowledge um the yogic job that he has done and coaching the young men and um just development and mentorship of our young people. they were uh adamant in their support of him should be that uh they they risen to the challenge both the coach and team. So congratulations to coach his staff and our >> anybody else. >> Oh I just wanted to um let um the community know that some of our football players will be handing out turkeys on Sunday.

I won't tell you where because I'm not sure of who's supposed to get them turkeys, but um I'm excited to be a part of it and with some of our football players handing out Saturday turkeys on Sunday. >> Anybody else? >> Mr. If I could just make one more announcement. I just received notice. We weren't sure about the fan bus because it comes at a cost and cab alpha side. I know you don't like the next kappa side will be funding the bus. No, students will be interested. >> Yes, the students that would like to go to the >> Oh, I thought everybody that >> Sorry, the adults are >> just one bus. >> Just one, right? Okay, >> that's a good That's a good announcement. >> That's a great announcement. Um, I'd like to

congratulate I just want to say that board members that replaced board members that resigned from the board and serve your community the way we have to serve our community is is a great thing and I really appreciate you guys uh stepping up and doing what you what we have to do. I know we don't please everybody and what we do but uh this is not easy and you do lose a little sleep over this some of the decisions you have to make and uh you know this is uh this is my my last time around. So, I won't say goodbye because I'm still be here, but I I appreciate the community support, the ones that voted for me and ones that didn't vote for me because I'm going to serve all of you. So, that's

where we're at with that. So, that's board comments. Next up, something I'm missing. I missed something. That's three. Now the next one up is it's really really important. It's a I usually take everything down the line but we're going to do this one at the time here. We're going to do a naming of the district property. Man, that is a big thing. Now I don't know the name down here yet. I can't see it too clear. But to even get a name, get something named after me while you're still breathing >> and walking upright. That's that's very very very important. And before I start talking anymore, I'm gonna get the motion on the floor and then when we get to discussion, we can talk. So can I have a motion the naming of the district

property? >> Dr. Who who made the motion? I know everybody want to make it. We all want to make it. Okay. Uh, wait a minute. Who made the motion? >> I did. Who second it? I'll second it. >> She did. >> Okay. Move and second. Now, any discussion? >> Yes. >> Now, who's up first? >> I have go. Okay. >> No. >> So, I just wanted to read as you all consider um this motion. Um, and I'm going to read because I want to make sure I capture everything. It is with uh deep respect and gratitude that we recommend naming the dear path property and honor Mr. Oswin C. Anderson Jr. whose exceptional leadership and dedication has shaped South Township School District for nearly 20 for actually it's not nearly for 24 years. Mr. Anderson

holds the historic distinction of being the first business manager of color, not only in our district's 150 years of existence, but in the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. When the Patriot News sought to interview him at the time of his hiring to highlight this milestone, he declined, an early reflection of the humility and quiet strength that have defined his defined his career. Across his remarkable tenure, Mr. Anderson has served with commitment, working an average of 60 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. I know because I've been here. His impact is visible in every corner of our district because his name appears on more renovation and construction plaques than any administrator in Susquana Township's history. A walk through our buildings bear witness to the breadth of his contributions. Mr. Anderson has provided steady financial leadership through

multiple superintendencies working closely with Dr. Thomas W. Holtzman later with Dr. David Vulkman and more recently during my tenure. Throughout these transitions, he has been the constant ensuring that the district remained financially stable, forwardinking, and positioned for long-term success. What truly sets Mr. Anderson apart is the personal sacrifice and extraordinary work ethic he brought to every project. Rather than outsourcing construction oversight, an approach that would have cost the district significantly, he routinely chose to manage these efforts himself. These decisions added countless hours to an already demanding schedule, but he took on the responsibility because he believed every dollar saved should support children. In doing so, he gave up precious time with his family, time he will never give back, because he was determined to do what was best for our students and the community of

Susana Township. For these reasons and many more, Mr. Anderson stands as the most fitting namesake for the Dear Path property. His leadership, integrity, humility, and sacrifice have left an enduring legacy that will continue to strengthen this district for years to come. So, we uh upon the the board's vote, we would proudly congratulate Mr. Anderson as we prepare to open the newly renovated Dear Path property in the fall of 2026. And we hope to honor him for a lifetime of service devoted to the children of Susana Township School District. And if you take a look at the screen, that is just some of the things that he's accomplished in his 24 years. And uh when he made the comment that's listed at the bottom of that slide, all I could say to him was, I hope

they do as well. I hope it all mattered and I hope they know we tried. And Mr. Anderson, I hope they know as well. So I submit this recommendation to the board and go to the next slide, please. Thank you. But I'm going to have to pause for a minute because would I make you cry? >> I got myself together. Go ahead on to me. I know you going to be up there. Go ahead on. >> No, no, I don't have anything. Dr. Will, >> huh? >> I don't have Dr. Willis had a statement. That's all. >> She She did. I just wanted something ceremonious. She had >> made you cry too then. >> Mama sad. >> Well, Mr. H. I know you I'm going to say this because I've been knowing the family since

0221964. I know his dad and and if his dad was here, he he would say, "Boy, that's my boy." He would say, "That's my boy." But uh man, he came from humble beginning. And I know as a kid growing up on the Royal Terrace playground, you never thought this would ever happen. A little old city boy like you. And uh you know in life you never know what tomorrow is going to bring and you never know who's watching you. And uh you make an impact and I know when you started this journey you didn't know it was going to end this way. you left and I called you and said, "Hey, man. We need to need you to come back." And you said, "Yeah, Mr. Rose, I come back. I I just want you to

know I really appreciate that you do that because my wife would have been here cuz I know how you and her were back in the day." But got little grandb babies in there. got some pain. So, she had to take care of that. But I did fell upon that. So, I just want you to know that I'm pleased this happened. And I'm not going to take any more time because I I know I get a little touch about that. This is going to be a roll call vote. So, we can start. >> A the naming of district property. Approve the naming of district property at 4401 Deer Path Road to the Oswald C. Anderson Jr. Center Johnson. >> Mr. >> Yes. >> Miss L. >> Yes. >> Mrs. Hill. >> Yes. >> Mr. RS. >>

Yes. Motion passes 72 allow you to have some words. Anyone in the board would love to come and join, please do it. >> I'd like for all the board members to come down. >> And if you would like your family, you may do that as well, Mr. Anderson. >> What's going on? >> Yes, please. >> Only reason he's here because of you. Please. Yes. >> Brother, >> you'll have to tell us what we do for >> Mrs. Anderson, come on up. >> All right, Mr. A, you're going to need to not be We'll be good. Um, >> we'll be good. We'll be good. We'll make we'll make them all fit. Okay. >> Sua, >> you want to come in front of this desk? And Mr. Hedenber, if you want to stand between the other Anderson

tens. Yeah, there we go. Omar, if you want to pop your head through between Yep, there we go. Uh K. Johnson, can you go between Megan and Dr. Willis? Yeah. And then folks, and then I'll come back this way. Uh K this way a little more. Awesome. >> Lyn Henber, can you move this way? There we go. All right. Go home now. I know. Yes, so >> you can take as long as you want to. >> No, I'm going to be brief. Uh, first and foremost, it's great to see all of you uh this evening and um I'll just say that I want to thank you for this consideration. It certainly represents uh an action that I don't take lightly, nor does anyone in my family. Um, I will forever remain grateful um and immensely

appreciate um what you've done in recognition of my uh years of service to Susan Township School District and hopefully in recognition of the contributions that I certainly have tried tried to make over the years. Um, but I have to tell you what is most important to me is the uh the opportunity that this facility uh will hopefully provide for our students and our staff members uh and our stakeholders at large here in Susu Township School District. So again, I'm going to be brief and just say thank you, thank you, and thank you. state trip basketball team. I get a motion moving second. Any discussion? All in favor? >> I opposed. Second hearing of the public is next. Have anybody >> five people? Okay. Uh want to read that statement? >> The board provides an opportunity

to hear from the public. During this section of the meeting, any district resident or taxpayers may address the board on matters of concern, official action or deliberation which are or may be before the board. The purpose of this section of the meeting is to be heard and as such the board will not engage in a dialogue but will listen to your concerns or follow directly or to assign the administrative personnel as appropriate. Please begin your public comment by saying your full name. Each member of the public may speak on that for maximum of three minutes. At the end of the three minutes, your time will expire. No participant may speak more than once on the same topic unless all others who wish to speak on that topic have been heard and only with permission from

the presiding office. Any comments to the board must be directed to the board president and not individual board members or administrators. Concerns related to specific buildings should first be addressed at the school building level and follow the chain of command before coming to the board. Any comments that are considered disruptive by scenes, abusive, slanderous or defamator will either be interrupt or determinated. No complaints may be made against specific employees, community members or board members. Private information related to any student is prohibited. Ryan Herb, first speaker. >> Ryan Herb. Uh, first I'd like to thank you all for your service. I am a teacher and I understand what it takes to be on the school board and all the work that goes into it. Um, but I am here I wanted to address a comment made

by the district after the election the tax referendum was voted down. I was more I was more disappointed in the reaction. Um it was stated that although the outcome is disappointing particularly given what it signals to our children about the shared responsibility for their future to myself I asked what signal did the no voters send to the children. To me that felt like a broadstroke negative statement made to everybody in the township that did vote no. I was a no voter. I'm sorry that I was. Okay. Does that mean that I do not favor shared responsibility to fund our district? I know it's incredibly hard. I know what my taxes are. They're double what my dad pays in a different district. I feel like I am giving my shared amount. But was I supposed to

vote yes and put myself in a stressful financial situation? I feel like that comment about um the students using that using the students was not very appropriate. Um that's not how we all felt more so I would like to think that after this vote we are ready to reach out to the community for suggestions for help. I'm more than willing to donate even more of my time that I already donate to my district to help fund help relieve the overcrowding here at the school district. I would like to see more of a community involvement where we're not sending out pamphlets to vote yes, but send out a pamphlet to let's meet instead of but let's go to these ward meetings and let's meet and let's see what ideas we have. uh we have lots of

intelligent people in the community that can help. Uh this is a very large burden on the nine of you, okay? Or or the rest of you. So I hope that in the future we can you guys can reach out and we can come to a satisfactory way to fund our school district and build exactly what our kids need. Thank you. I'm speaking as someone who twice voted yes on the proposal because I knew this kids needed it, but I think the voters gave you a resounding no in the election. It's my understanding you'll be voting on the superintendent's renewal contract and I think the voters have made their feelings known. Um I ask you to ask yourselves, are your goals being achieved? Are you hitting the mark? Is the school district improving? In five more

years, if the present course continues, what will you tell the children or will you be gone? I just think we need a new direction. The voters have made it clear that they don't have confidence and you need to rethink the direction. We might need some new leadership. Thank you, >> Barber. Um, good evening. I usually um watch and listen to the board meetings from the comfort of my home, but once I saw tonight's agenda, um I had concerns over the new contract for the superintendent. Uh according to salaries listed for 2025 and openpa.gov, uh the new salary in this contract looks to be about a 14% increase. If this is correct or anywhere near that, um, I'd like to know how it's warranted. Certainly, teachers are not seeing anything near that. Other compensations such as

the $15,000 per year annuity and the life insurance at two times the salary also seems extremely high. At the last board meeting, a performance assessment was presented that showed no academic growth in many areas and at many grade levels and most often a backslide. Certainly nothing to celebrate or reward. Also presented was the graph showing the years of experience of the current staff. It's a very sad testament to what's happening here that almost 60% of the staff have only one to five years of experience. In the past several years, we've lost many talented and dedicated teachers and we all know the difference that that makes in a classroom. The majority of this change was not from retirements. It was from teachers leaving the district to go elsewhere, frustrated with academic direction and leadership. I cannot

understand how the board has come to the decisions they have in this new contract with the information that's available to you. What possibly warrants this extreme compensation? The district has spent so much money in recent time on the purchase of land and a building that still needs refurbishing. I actually voted in favor of a new building. I know we need it for the kids, but now we're in limbo with many major expenses ahead and no clear path. I implore you to do your due diligence and to rethink this contract. Good evening everyone. I am using my three minutes as an actual citizen, you know, of the district. But um a big thank you to Dr. Willis for already talking about what I was coming to to talk about. Um Hannah's Pantry donated turkey. Um wanted

to say a few things. Um, one, uh, we are so thankful for the incredible community that we have here. We were, um, at Thomas Holtzman for election day for W 2 and eight. Um, and we had a very simple bake sale. It was, um, name your price. Actually, we did. It was, please make a donation and take whatever kind of snack you want. Um, this amazing community, our little ward actually, um, we had $2,000 in donations on election day alone that came in. Um, so everyone has come together. I know obviously everyone knows the federal and state uh budget issues and SNAP. Um, and it's just incredible to to live in a little community like this that that knows that we have big problems. Um, so to that end, last year um, our Thanksgiving distribution

is always the largest that we have of the year. Everybody, you know, obviously would like to to be able to provide that for the families. So, we had 404 families last year just for Thanksgiving. We had 406 families last week at our distribution. So, um we project about 500 families will be coming to the pantry next Saturday, the 22nd. So, if you do have that turkey certificate as Dr. Willis talked about or you're willing to buy a vegetarian lasagna or even a ham, um we would really appreciate it because we want to make sure that all of our families, whether they're vegetarian or love turkey or prefer ham, um can have something along with all the other side dishes of green beans and cranberry sauce and all those things. So, um I have little flyers

over there if you know anybody else that has the means to um donate. We have a turkey freezer out on the dock at the high school 24 hours a day. We have a table there. Um, so if you're not following us on social media, please do that because that helps us reach other families who may not know that we're there that can come get the resources or it may um help a donor find us and and do that. So, we even make it really really easy to donate. We actually take Venmo now. We take PayPal. We take everything. So, um please if you can um help help one of our families, one of our many many families um have a wonderful holiday and um like I said, we can't do this without our community. So,

we're so so appreciative of of all the support that we get. >> Quick question before you have to seat. Do you need uh volunteers for the distribution on the 22nd? >> Believe it or not, this is the first distribution that we have filled up all the slots before um Monday, you know. So, >> if you got a trip, you could just drop it off. >> Yes, please. There's a freezer right there. So, that would be wonderful. Turkey breasts, turkey, ham, fres lasagna, any of those things are wonderful. Um so, thank you all. for everything. >> Good evening. I came to this meeting hoping that I would hear something about the referendum, something about what the consultant that we paid for would have said about his work and the referendum. I was hoping that we would

hear what's next rather than the rumors about trailers being put out there and the district creating a trailer park. That's what I was hoping we might hear at this meeting. When they saw the major projects that Mr. Anderson had been involved in, I thought that would have been great at the hearings rather than to hear what we haven't done at that building for 60 years and that building is 70 years old. I thought all those projects would say Suspana Township is committed to its students and has done all these projects. not how long ago those buildings were built. But more than that, I came to the meeting because I'm concerned about the contract. The contract looks like something that's awarded for greatness. Something has been done really great in the last 10 years. And so

we're awarding this contract, not just the contract itself, but the $15,000 annuity. Regardless of the performance of the person, a $15,000 annuity is given every year independent of an evaluation. Now, let's talk about the evaluation because I've come here many times talking about objective performance standards. I have the contract here. You've probably seen the contract. I brought the law. The law says in addition to any other requirements provided for under the act, the employment contract for a district superintendent or assistant superintendent shall include objective performance standards. Here's the contract. No objective performance standards. Every time I've come here and asked about them, I'm sent to the website somewhere. Here's the contract. They should be in the contract and they're not. Where the district is going is identified in the objective performance standards. They have all

kinds of examples of exa objective performance standards. We met last two weeks ago and objective performances were identified. None of them were satisfactory I think to anyone. There was a question, how do you define growth? I would challenge anyone here to be able to tell me how do you define growth in our district. Another question, what does low low average mean? The answer was given. >> Any board member can not a problem. Not a problem. This is an insult. The contract's an insult. And what's missing is insulting. No objective measures of performance. I thank you for your time and I I don't imagine anyone's getting back to me in spite of the statement that was read. >> Excellent. You sign up. Yeah, that's not true. You're going to give me Make sure everybody got your

>> Good afternoon uh board. As everyone probably know, I'm Willie Harmon of Wayne Avenue. Um, I wasn't going to speak today because I'm like, you know, I do a lot of speaking at these things and it's never really good. I go online and as you guys know, I make some of my comments uh aware to the public. Um, I'm here basically tonight to listen again, but I wanted to say guys, this is what I'm talking about. I'm glad these Brian citizens came out and spoke their their opinions and uh about issues that are upcoming and ongoing. Uh, I was hoping that another issue would be brought up that I kind of guided this person to go to the principal to get addressed. And I I'm I'm not directly um saying this, but you know, you

I walk up and shake your hand after meeting, stuff like that and ask, but there was evidently an incident on one of the school buses where it's been recorded that um a a bully or someone was punching someone. I don't know if you can like headshake of acknowledgement or whatever that you guys are aware of this. Um I told him to go to the principal because I know that know what would happen if they just came here. But I wanted to also give the board a heads up that there's something going on out there that we need to check for possible violence in our on our on our school buses. Um, I I I can't confirm or deny because I like to actually find out more, but I don't know if anybody would bring this

type of information to it and if you guys are or can find out about it because, you know, I've heard other reports of intimidation in school. Um, I know some of your football players family uh and they're doing their own investigations for me and stuff like that. So, you know, guys, I said I'm watching you guys like a chicken hawk watches a chicken. And I'm glad others are joining me in overseeing what's going on here. I mean, no disrespect to anyone. You are public figures and subject as will to public scrutiny. I know because I was once public figure myself and I was scrutinized at every step and leveled away. So, um, thanks for your time again. Uh thanks to the citizens that came out. Uh you guys have a wonderful evening. Smile to a

stranger because you never know if it'll make their day and possibly yours. I would say this to you in our um executive session. One of the things was discussed student matter and the student matter that you talked about we know about it. everything is taken care of and videos are on the bus. So, all those things are taken care of. >> I I I appreciate just giving me a heads up because, you know, I didn't want them to come out here and blow up on you guys. I I respect your positions because I once was in a position similar. Next up is uh minutes from October 6th and minutes from October the 20th. I'd like to take care of that. I have a motion to approve the minutes the uh October 6th and October 20th.

>> Mr. Ross, I'm sorry. I know we we're moving on. If it's possible to just um make an announcement based on some of the public comment. If not, it's just informational. Okay. >> So, a number of folks, this isn't the first meeting where we've had some citizens come out and share that they were expecting us to discuss certain things. We have shifted the way we structure our meetings. So, the first meeting of the month is our work session. So, we have one of our committee meetings at that time. So, we will be openly discussing a variety of things. The second meeting is actually a regular meeting. It is a voting meeting. So just in case just so you'll know if you come out to a regular meeting typically it is more like a consent agenda.

That's all. >> All right. Okay. >> So I I think everybody understand that part. So when you come if you come to the first meeting of the month when it's committee and you can speak as long as you want to >> and we're talking about items >> items that we discuss. >> Yes. All right. So back to that motion on the floor. Uh A and B. Can I have get a motion? >> Move second move and second. Any discussion? All in favor? >> Oppose. Go from A to F. Can I get a motion from A to F to uh personnel? The contract will be separate. I get a motion from those from A to F. Move >> and second. Any discussion? All in favor? I oppose. Superintendent's contract. >> G. Can I get a motion?

>> Second. >> Move and second. Any discussion? the direction that you just in terms of what we can do. I said y'all typically get into the terms first if someone a board member wants to make >> any comments. Um, I I think it's worth noting the the commentary from the public that we've received about the inclusion of objective performance standards within the contract. And I will just say that one thing that I've been consistent about is that when we bring an item before us to vote that we should have the entirety of what should be included in at that time. So, I would I would just bring that. I don't necessarily have um you know any unreiness about specific particulars of the contract with the exception of the inclusion of those perform that is something

we should have and I think that that is worth noting I think well to at least revisit that for the purposes of compliance with what we should do that that's my document I'm track so that will include video our annual assessment. I'm not commenting assessment. Thank you. I appreciate the point of clarification. and the fact that as a matter of precedent, we've been doing it for several years um with uh a very transparent uh approach to placing all of those bases for assessment online, available to the public 247, 365 days a year. I I like if you check out all the contract all the superintendent you'll see the same thing in our contract you will see in other school district so we're not doing something differently than anybody else and and then one thing I'd

say to to the public trying to trying to fill a superintendent position is a very hard job to do and we have a great superintendent. You may not think because you don't see all the little things that our superintendent do and our assistant superintendent do here. It's a lot of work. It's not easy doing what superintendent do and all of us work and at the end of the year all of us want to raise. That's the way life is and I've been working with her I'll say at least five years. I know that longer than that, but actually does a super job. So me saying that uh it'll be a roll call vote. Item 8G approve employment contract for Tamara Willis as superintendent of school. Johnson. >> Yes. >> Dr. Mr. Folks, >> yes. >>

Mrs. Hill, >> yes. >> Mr. R. >> Yes. >> Motion passes 70 to >> Congratulations, Dr. I can't talk now. >> What I dislike >> to say good >> when the law is what it is. >> I have the utmost. I know. >> But you out of order, >> but you're out of order. >> When you talk about a person in public, you don't have to say my name. We know who you're talking about. So, you're talking about me. I'm the public and I'm supposed to listen to you and and say you're out of order. >> I'm I'm out of order and you'll tell me that I'm not allowed at another meeting. >> No, I wouldn't say that to you. >> Okay. Whatever it is, >> I just cited the law. If all the other

districts are not in compliance with the law, so be it. So be it. The law says that should be in there. It's not in there. You voted on a contract that's not in compliance with the law if you're okay with it. >> But we're okay. >> There's nothing. Yeah, I got you. >> You okay? You happy now? We >> I know I'm not happy now. >> Well, that's where it is. >> I'm not happy now. But I I understand that you're >> finance. I want to make reference to um back to the police. >> Yes. What's wrong? >> Just want to know you brought up a point about what is legally and supposed to be in this contract. I just spoke with our solicitor and was assured that we are legally with within our right

to this contract. It is compliant with the law. >> It wasn't ignored. Not >> okay. I was told I'm not a lawyer, but I did ask our lawyer. >> Okay. >> If the lawyer Edwards know that he's been on He said on He can send you emails from when I was on the board and we know where that went. We know where that went. It went to the firing of a superintendent with no objective reason for doing it. Mr. Ross could tell you why did we fire her? We have no objective reasons. >> So I'm leaving I understand the solicitor said the law says that it shall be in there. You didn't put it in there because >> Mr. Edwards, you are out of order. I'm out of order. >> They told me that when

I was on the board, I was out of order. >> Section eight of the contract. Thank you very much. >> I I The contract is right here. The contract is right here. There are no objectives. You can talk all night. It's not going to change anything. >> It's It's not going to change anything. >> Okay. You're out of order. >> You're on record of saying what it is. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Okay. Oh, finance. Can we go through finance? All right. Finance. We we can go from A to H. Can I have a motion? >> Motion to approve um contracts uh finance line items A through a motion. Second and move and second. Any discussion? All in favor? >> Five. >> Oppose. Do you want to do >> A through G.

Can I get a motion? Contracts A through G. What about H? >> A through G. >> You want to talk about H? >> You want to discuss H. Okay. All right. Can I get a motion? >> Motion to approve uh contract line items A through H. >> No, >> I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. >> A through G. >> G. >> A through G. >> Can I get a motion? I did get a motion. >> Second. He'll second it. Move and second. All in favor? Any discussion? All in favor? >> I oppose. Eyes have it. Now H is up. This is what you wanted to discuss about the elevator. So could I get a motion for H? >> We got We got to put it on the floor. Can I get a motion? >> Motion

to put H elevator corporation on. >> Okay. >> Can I get a second? Any second? >> Move and second. Any discussion? Now we can discuss that. >> Okay. >> The answers y'all wanted to know about that. >> So this motion is to retroactively approve the agreement between the district and PK elevator corporation. We had uh elevator went out and it required um some immediate uh financial decisions to be made uh to be compliant with the schedule of our uh building and so we are just going back retroactively and the board gave them approval in advance to go ahead and take that action so that we could be made in compliance with our schedule. I had I had questions that when we were purchasing the property, was anything disclosed that this elevator was not fit? That

was my question. And so, um, our attorneys are actually looking into that now. They've already started, but they're continuing to look into uh whether or not it was an ASIS because uh our solicitors um at the time were not actively involved, but we did have solicitors that were involved. So, they're going back and taking. >> So, if we find if we find that that's the case, we perhaps be able to some funds if somehow something. >> Okay. Thank you. And we did not. Yeah. Okay. So, if anyone else has any questions about the repair, we're having to entertain those now. >> I didn't have a problem repairing it. I only had a question as if that was disclosed during the sale. Only things are disclosures or done during a sale and something this expensive. Seems

like to me they may have known before you purchased the property. >> So, we're putting it in the hands of the attorneys. Yes. Agree. >> 10 to retroactively approve the agreement with TKE Elevator Corporation. >> Handberg. >> Yes. >> Mr. Folks. >> Yes. Miss Hatcher, >> yes. Mel, yes. >> Yes. >> Mr. K. Johnson, >> no. >> Mr. >> Yes. >> Passes. >> Okay. Nothing under policy. New business. Next up is a J. Can I get a motion? Johnson. >> Move and second. All in favor? I >> oppose it.
