001Welcome to the Ashland Community Theater's production of the ACT Caterpillar Story Hour hosted by Jim Parr. Jim, come on up here for a second. Tell me Well, first First of all, thank you so much for doing all you've done to get this show up and going. Well, and Julie Murphy, great partner. I'll talk to her when I Okay. Just Just, you know, I don't want to get all the credit. Oh, no, you're not getting any credit. You're not getting any Well, it depends on how well it goes. To See how it goes tonight and then you'll you'll take you'll take your percentage. So, tell me about it. What is this theme about? Well, it's about relationships, the good, the bad, the ugly, but mostly the ugly. And then there are performers tonight doing what? What
002are they doing? Well, some of them are telling real stories that they have actually lived of dating catastrophes and relationship snafus, and some people are portraying characters that, you know, even though they're fictional, they sort of represent maybe some of the things that we've gone through in our dating lives and, you know, relationship experiences. And And how do people get tickets to this thing? They go to the what website? >> go on the Ashland Community Theater Act website and they get their tickets and they come on down and they they have a laugh and a half cuz it's going to be fun. 003of you, thank you both for doing Yeah, thank thank you both for coming in and stepping in and taking on this show while I did my travels around wherever I was going. How did it feel working with these wonderful people and and putting on this show? Oh my god, it was amazing. So, I we got to one, listen to people's personal stories, bad dates, good dates, marriage proposals, all of it. And then we got to help them put it into a monologue that can be done on the stage, and I got to meet new people and work with some of my favorite not old people. Older people. And of course Jim here was unbelievably amazing. Well, I'm looking forward to tonight. I've seen this a couple of times and I'm telling you right now, if

It's always Try to get a doctor to see me. And Jerry, you'll be hosting the marathon for Ashland for WACA TV next week. You're doing that. my first time and I'm so excited about it. 008Yeah, it's you know, you know, everybody's like so negative, you know? It's like love stinks and and screw relationships, you know? Bad dates, all this. Hey, you know? I'm serious. Some of us have good relationships. It happens, you know? I got lucky. I don't know. I don't know what she sees in me. I mean, I I I I could tell she cuz you're a good man, you're a funny guy, and you're willing to come out here and tell some of those stories tonight. 009Is that correct? >> It's It's It's pretty heavily exaggerated, but it is kind of inspired by real things that I've gone through. Yeah. I need you right back. That's my note. How does it feel performing one that was written by somebody else versus doing your own story? Uh, I don't know. I mean it's fun to do either, but yeah, I mean, you know, I I'm you know, I like writing my own material, so it was a good opportunity to do that here. So. Thank you.
