001Thank you. Crystal, could you do the roll call, please? Yes, one sec. I just want to hit record here. Okay. Sorry. That's fine. All right. Jan Brophy? Here. Jennifer Bullock? Absent. Dessa Cintron? Here. Andrea Devine? Linda Gottlieb? Here. Mike McGranahan? Here. Tom Skopenak? Here. Julia Thomas? Here. Great. Thank you. Hold on one second. I'm not done yet. Sorry. I see that. I went to page two. Thank you. Karen DelGursio? Here. John Sawyer? Better not be here. Mike Thompson? Here. Erin Brindisi? The teachers will not be here this evening, Crystal. Okay. So Madison Sherwood, absent. Neriah Harrison, I'm going to assume she's out, too. So we are good. Okay. Thank you. Could I have a motion to approve the agenda for tonight's meeting of June 17th, 2026, please? So moved. Thank you. A second? Second. All
002those in favor? Aye. Aye. Aye. Opposed? And could I have a motion to approve the minutes from the board meeting of May 2026, please? So moved. Thanks, Mike. Second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? I understand we have no public comments. And at this time, we'd like to thank the administration and staff for the excellent kindergarten graduation, eighth grade move up, and graduation programs. And this time next year, we'll be announcing our senior high graduation also. And also, congratulations to board member Mike McGranahan on his daughter's high school graduation from Mass One, and it's on to Westchester University. Big congrats. Aw. Thank you so much. You're welcome. And she's a beautiful girl, too. Thank you again. Okay, we'll move on to resolutions. We have three under personnel. Any questions on those this evening? Okay.
003Could I have a motion to adopt resolutions A, one, two, and three, please? So moved. Thank you. A second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Okay. Under special education, we have resolutions one through 14, and I would like to give a big thank you to Kim Barth for getting all this done at this busy time of the year, so that we're all in good shape when we start back up in August. Kim, great job. Again, thank you, and I know you did this not for just Mass Three. I'm sure you did the same thing for Mass One and Mass Two. So again, thank you very much on behalf of the board. Thank you. Does anyone have any questions on B, one through 14? Okay. Could I have a motion to adopt, please? So moved.
004Thank you. A second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? And under academic, we have three resolutions. Do we have any questions on those? Okay. Could I have a motion to adopt resolutions C, one, two, and three, please? So moved. Thank you. A second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Aye. Opposed? Okay. And under board considerations, we have eight resolutions this evening. We're updating policies and procedures manual. We have the schedule of the board meetings for next year. Obviously, several others. Under D4, we have the approval of the Isaac Newton Foundation and the Mass Three reimbursement of funds. And before we do any kind of voting on this, I'd like Mike Thompson to please explain to us briefly what this means, if you wouldn't mind, Mike. No, I don't mind. Basically, the resolution allows the
005school, through the foundation, to go out into the market and borrow funds. It also names those individuals on the board or officers in the organization who are authorized to sign on behalf of the school and Isaac Newton. Well, not in your case. It's just the school on this side of the transaction. It names all the parties that are going to be involved in the transaction. So Mass, Isaac Newton, Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development, U.S. Bank, who acts as the trustee. It states how the project funds will be used. In your case, you're going out to borrow money to build a new school facility and do some work at an existing facility. As I said, it discusses who the signers are. It talks about how the property will be secured so the bondholders know what happens
006in case of a default. The security is, of course, the existing facility and the facilities that will be constructed. It will talk about various documents that are involved in the transaction. So the loan agreement, which will exist between the authority and the foundation of the master trust indenture, and the supplemental trust indenture will have many various conditions attached to it. So for instance, in the case of all new debt over the last couple years, your school district subsidy will be sent to the trustee who will take your monthly principal and interest, and put it in the account that they control to pay the bondholders their funds that they loan to you, plus their interest payments. There will be an updated lease arrangement between Isaac Newton and the school, to cover the obligations of the debt
007which the foundation will own. There will be an offering document, which basically tells the story of MASS and Isaac Newton Foundation. And then also included in those documents is what happens if there's a default. We will be required through the Isaac Newton Foundation to meet certain requirements each and every year. So for instance, after tonight when you adopt your budget, we will send that over to the trustee and to DAC, who's a disseminate agent who will then post that for all the existing bond holders. We're required to do calculations periodically during the course of the year and send them over to DAC and the trustee. But the trustee will make sure that we're meeting our requirements. DAC will disseminate all that information to the bond holders. And like I said, there's a lot of documents
008involved here, and if anybody has any specific questions, I'd be glad to answer them. Thank you, Mike. I'd also like to direct the board's attention to the third whereas paragraph within the resolution, which explains exactly what we're planning to build, between the new high school, the new gym, parking improvements. Everything is contained in that whereas clause to explain exactly what we're doing. I understand that we also have one of our attorneys on the call tonight, Holly Horsley, who would be glad to explain anything to you if you still have any questions after Mike's discussion. Anybody care to ask a question to Ms. Horsley this evening? Okay, we're okay on this. And also then want to bring your attention to Resolution D8 that approves the '26, '27 school budget. And if anybody has any questions on
009that, I'm sure Mike Thompson will be glad to answer those questions also. Absolutely. Any questions on the budget for next year's budget? Okay. Could I have a motion to adopt Resolutions D one through eight, please? So moved. Second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Okay, under operations, we have three resolutions. Any questions on them this evening? Okay, could I have a motion to adopt Resolution E one through three, please? So moved. Thank you. A second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Under technology, we have one resolution this evening. Anybody have any questions on that one? Okay. Could I have a motion to adopt, please? So moved. Second? Second. Thank you. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Okay, we have nothing under grants this evening. Mr. Thompson, I'll turn it over to you for
010your controllers report. Yeah, so we're currently being paid for 1,300 students. Our operating surplus at the end of May was a little north of $8 million. All revenues and expenditures in-house have been posted. If you look down at the narrative, you'll see there's more items than there has been in the past. We are getting ready to bring the auditors in, if you will. They should be coming in first or second week in May. So we're posting accrual entries or year-end entries, if you will. Total disbursements for the month of May was a little north of $837,000, and checks over $20,000 are listed at the bottom of the report. And again, if anybody has any questions on the finances, I'd be glad to answer them. Thank you, Mike. Are there any questions on Mike's report? Okay.
011Could I have a motion to approve the controller's report, please? So moved. Second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Aye. Okay. As we have been told, Mr. Square is on vacation, and we certainly hope he's enjoying himself, so there will be no CEO report this evening. Our teacher reports and student report, they are not due yet because school is over. So, Mr. Serpiello, are you going to do the administrative report this evening? Absolutely. Thank you. Thank you. Good evening, everyone. Good evening. Thanks, Linda. I'd like to start by just thanking our board of trustees for everything this year. Every year comes with a lot of challenges and a lot of successes and a lot of hard work, and we couldn't do anything that we do without your support. And thank you for your support for
012the new project as that we're looking forward to the opportunities that that's going to bring for our students, not only here but in the preschool too. I'd also like to thank our network team for all of their support throughout the year. Now, there's never really an end to the school year. Things just kind of continue for us on the administrative side, but we're grateful for all of their support throughout the year. All of the events that we hold, all of the initiatives that we have couldn't happen without all of the things that they do behind the scenes. So thank you very much. As well as our teachers and staff and my local administrative team. I'm very lucky to have an admin on the special education, regular education side that just continually strive to make things
013great for our students and create the best experience for our kids as possible. So, I just wanted to thank them tonight for all of the work this year, throughout the school year with our students, as we continue to start digging into planning for next year already. I did want to highlight a couple of things this year that I think are really great successes. On the attendance side, our attendance office improved this year, especially Ms. McMurray, in terms of absences. And we saw some great success in terms of our chronic absence, which means students that have attended more than 10% of the year. Sorry, more than 90% of the year. We saw students with an absence of more than 10% decrease from 19% of our students down to 13, which means six more percent of our
014students this year attended school more than 90% of the days, which I think is really important, because the more you're in school, the more success you have, the more consistency you have. So, I'm really excited to see that. And we saw our average daily attendance jump over 94% this year, which is really exciting as well. It was at 93% last year, and that's a huge increase, and it's much appreciated for all the proactive work that's being done on the attendance side. Especially you, Jan, as well, for coming in for all of our meetings. Also, I wanted to highlight that we focused on decreasing our suspensions this year, and increasing restorative practices, and obviously having students in school is, more days, really important. We saw a big decrease in suspensions this year, almost 37% of those.
015So, really happy to see that number come down so significantly, especially for our eighth grade cohort. So shout out to Ms. Southry and Mr. Ray for all the work they did with their students. At the end of our school year, we also saw a ton of events as usual. And I'm grateful for all of the support we had in making sure that those events ran smoothly. As you said, our kindergarten graduation and eighth grade move-up ceremony were really great events this year as always. Ms. Southry and Ms. Brower in planning for eighth grade move-up, as well as Ms. Degnan and Ms. Donahue for all of their support on the kindergarten graduation side, and our facilities team for supporting those events. The kindergartners were cute as ever, and the eighth graders were too cool as ever,
016but everything ran really smoothly, and I think they were really nice events for all of our families. We also had our block parties and our field days, as well as our field day and our upper school turned into our house cup for the year, which is kind of an extension of our PBIS program, our Positive Behavior Support Program. And we saw a lot of competition through that program this year, and our field days became our house cup, which is more of a competition for the different groups that we have. Students had a great time. There was tons of planning that went into that, and we were happy to see all the smiles that resulted from those events. We also recently had our eighth-grade trip. I was excited to go on that this year. The students
017really had a great time, and they also had their eighth-grade formal, which ran smoothly. We recently had our Fairy Tale Ball and our first ever athletic banquet as well, which I didn't have the pleasure of being there for the athletic banquet, but I appreciate all the support from Mr. Keenan, Mr. Harris, in terms of making sure that that ran smoothly. Our families were attached, we had a huge turnout. So it was really exciting to see the culmination of all the work that's been going into athletics. As we round out the year, the administrative team has been working on just starting to evaluate everything from last year. We've been working on hiring already, and starting to plan for all the things that are to come as we start next year. And we're looking forward to summer
018programs starting on July 6th for our Summer Academy, as well as Stream Camp, and then June 30th for ESY. Thank you, Phil. Still busy even though it's summer. And we're looking forward to having 12th graders next year, too. Are we all ready for that? We are really excited. I think our high school team has done an amazing job this year. We actually saw a lot of milestones this year as our juniors are starting to really look at what they're doing after high school. Yeah. But Mr. Steinbach and his entire team, the counselors, work really hard on the high school side. They've been planning and preparing for this for a while. We're starting to dig into all of what we need to do. We're going to be thinking about that this summer and looking forward to
019our first graduation. Yeah. I couldn't be more excited for that group of students. They're very excited to be the first class to graduate. Yeah. As well as all of our staff who've been here really from the beginning. Great. Glad to hear it. Okay, any committee reports? No. New business or old business? Nope. Okay. Could I have a motion to adjourn the last board meeting of this school year, please? So moved. Thank you. Second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Okay, our next board meeting will be held on August 19th. Hope to see you all then. Have a great summer. See you again in mid-August. And thank you again for helping us have a quorum tonight so that we could vote on all these important resolutions and move forward. So thank you. Have a wonderful
020summer, everyone. You too, Linda. Thanks, everybody. Thank you. Take care. Thank you. I'd like to call this meeting to order, please, for today, the last meeting of this year. Let's start with the Pledge of Allegiance, please. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, and just for all. Thank you. Roll call please, Crystal. Karen DelGaudio. Here. Betty Anne Crayton. Here. Mimi Garbinski. She's in a car in North Carolina, on her way to Disney. Corvette Cottrell. She's not going to make it. Dr. Patel. Here. Gina Pearlman. Here. Marsha Stewart. Here. John Sawyer. Mike Thompson. Here. Janine Bair. Nicole Spellman. Oh, Nicole's here. Hi, Nicole. Hi. Amelia Torres. She'll be out. Elena Luca. Okay, thank you. Can I have a
021motion to approve the agenda for tonight's meeting of June 17th? Motion, please. Can I have a motion? Motion to approve. Okay. Thank you. Second, please? Second. Okay, thank you. Let's move on to the approval of the minutes from the board meeting of May 20th. And I have a motion to approve the minutes, please? Motion to approve. Thank you. A second? Second. Thank you. The minutes are approved. Public comment, and we know that already. Again, we'll want three graduations from one school or whatever. I want to thank everybody who participated and planned for the wonderful programs for kindergarten and eighth grade and high school. They did such hard work, and they did such a great job. And of course, we have board members ourselves who have kids or grandchildren who participated in the math one graduation.
022So congratulations to Corvette and Marsha. Marsha, where is she going? Where you going? He signed up for the local union. I forget, some numbers. But yeah, he's in the apprentice program. He start on July 18th. Oh, how nice. Congratulations. And Ronnie, her grandchild, but I don't think she's on today. But that's wonderful to see so many board people sending kids to our schools. All right, let's move on to resolutions. Personnel A, one, two, and three. Any questions? Then may I have a motion for approve A one, two, and three? Motion to approve. Second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Then A is approved. B Oh, Kim, you have been so busy. Thank you so much, as Jan said at the last meeting, for all of this hard work for three schools. So we have
02315 resolutions for special education. Does anyone have any questions about any of those resolutions other than asking Kim how tired she is? All right, then can I have a motion to approve B one through 15? Motion to approve. A second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Aye. All those in favor? Oh, nobody opposed. All right. All those in favor we say-- Then that's approved. Excellent. All over then. Okay. Academic C is one through six. Any questions? Then can I have a motion to approve C one through six? Motion to approve. Second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Then that is covered. D, board considerations. All right. Well, I think we want to skip down right now to four, which is a funding and refinancing that Mike Thompson is going to explain to us.
024Mike? Yes. So basically, this is a legally binding document that is adopted by the board to go out and borrow money. In your case, you're refinancing existing debt. And it names those individuals in the institution at the board level or at the administrative level who have the authority to incur debt on behalf of the organization. The document names all the parties that will be involved in the transaction. It names how much you will be borrowing, or a maximum amount not to exceed, what the funds will be used for. Again, who are the authorized signers, how the debt will be secured. So in the case of the school through Isaac Newton, the facility becomes the security for the debt in case there is a default. So the bondholders know what processes will be in place for
025them to get their money back, if you will. It's like a mortgage, right? Your house is the security to the bank. So you can think of it that way. There are various documents involved in the transaction. So the loan agreement between the foundation and the authority. There's trust indentures. There's a master trust indenture, and then there is a sub trust indenture, if you will. There will be an update at lease between Isaac Newton and MAST schools. The trustee will receive your subsidy from the school district of Philadelphia. It will withhold funds due to the bondholders on a monthly basis, and then it will release the remainder of those funds to the school, and that typically happens on the same day or the next day. There will be an offering document, which basically tells the story
026of MAST and Isaac Newton. And again, like I said, there will be assignment of the lease between Isaac Newton Foundation and MAST to the trustee. And then if anybody has any questions, I would be glad to answer them. It's a lengthy resolution to say the least, but it basically outlines all the particulars of us being able to go into the market through the Isaac Newton Foundation. Any questions? We have our lawyer that represents the schools in their new bonding issue, Holly, who's also on this phone call as well. If anyone has any questions about what's upcoming, please feel free to ask Holly. Welcome, Holly. Thank you, Karen. Okay. No questions? That's good, everybody likes everything. All right, let's move on then, please. We're going to the first section that we skipped to. Do you have
027any questions on any of the board one through seven? Okay, how about eight? That is the school budget. That's the link. Any questions about the school budget? By law, we have to submit it to the commonwealth by the end of June. Then can I have a motion to accept and approve D one through eight? Motion to approve. Second, please? Second. Thank you. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? All opposed? Nobody? Okay. That's wonderful. Moving on to operations, E1 through five. Any questions? You should be aware that there is a student activities fund. This is money that classes have collected. After a certain number of years, rather than that they're dormant, we have to get permission from one of the class officers to move the money for something else. And this year Matt talked to one
028of the officers and he agreed to use it for facilities to buy something special for the school. Did I get that right, Matt? Yeah. We asked them to kind of earmark it for some general facility upgrade that could be determined in the future. Right. But it's nice. You don't want the money just sitting there. Thank you. Sure. Any questions E through five? All right, then can I have a motion to approve E through five? Motion to approve. Second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed? Thank you. It's all approved in operations. The F, technology, there are two. Any questions? All those in favor? Aye. No, I'm sorry. I have to ask. You need a motion. Yes, a motion please. Motion to approve. Second? Second. All those in favor? Aye. Aye. Opposed? None. Okay, thank you.
029Controller's report, Mike. Sorry. So we're currently being paid for 1,493 students at the end of May, our projected operating surplus of $5.8 million. Just keep in mind that that number doesn't include year-end entries to close the books before the auditors come in. You'll see there's a number of transactions listed there that haven't been there in the past. That's us getting ready for the audit, which will start some time in May. The school had a little north of $811,000 in disbursements for the month of May. We have $20,000, any checks over $20,000 are listed at the bottom of the narrative. And if anybody has any questions, I'd be glad to answer them. Any questions for Mike? And can I have a motion to accept the controller's report? Motion to accept the report. Second? Second. All those
030in favor? Aye. Opposed? Okay, thank you, Mike. CEO report, better not report. He's in Italy and it's midnight there. Now see, I didn't expect any teachers to show up and Nicole is there. Hi, Nicole. Do you want to report anything? I just wanted to thank the board and administration, my fellow teachers, and students for a great school year. Oh, thank you. You guys did a great job. Thank you. Any students come in here? No. Okay. See, it's their vacation, so we said you don't have to come. But thank you. Administrative report. We have a new school leader, beginning July 1st, but he's there now. Chuck, are you there? Yes, Karen, I'm here. Hi. I just want to take a minute to thank you and thank the board and John for this opportunity. I'm really looking
031forward to getting to work with everyone on the Byberry team. I'm just excited to meet with Phyllis over this next couple of weeks to complete the transition. So thank you again and I'm really excited to be transitioning to the Byberry team, so thank you. Well, thank you. We welcome you in your new role. Does anyone have any questions for him, for Chuck? We wish you the best, Chuck. Thank you. Okay. Any other administrator report? Okay. I'd just like to jump in and say thank you to everybody that helped out, whether it's Mrs. Worrell with the senior team, Mrs. Conboy, with all the plans for graduation, as you already mentioned. It takes a lot of different folks to jump in on that and everybody did a really awesome job between the students that got up and
032did portions of the program and it's just a really nice opportunity to celebrate all the awesome things that we do here at Mast. So, I appreciate all the support and network team, everybody lends a hand in some way or another to that program. So, it's a great moment at the end of the year for everybody. Aren't you glad we didn't do it outside? That's for sure. Everybody's shaking their head. Okay, thank you. It was a wonderful graduation. It's always so nice to see our graduates actually graduate and walk down there. It brings tears to your eye. Okay. Any committee reports? No. Any new or old business, anyone? No. Okay, then I'm going to adjourn the meeting. The next meeting is not until August 19th. You get a month off But don't worry, we'll be in
033touch with you anyway. But anyway, thank you board, for a very successful year. I appreciate you giving up your time and for your commitment. You are really interested in what goes on, and you do participate so actively. You are a sterling, outstanding board, and I thank you very much. Have a wonderful summer. Enjoy, relax, and have a good time. You too. Take care. Happy summer, everyone. You too. ... and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. On to the roll call. Lou Decree? Here. Mike Capizzi? I'm here. Jess Martinez? Present. Katie McFadden? Here. Chris Pienkowski? He should be here any minute. Tosh Traylor? Karen DelGercio? She's on, looks like she's muted. John Sawyer? Mike Thompson? Here. Bridget Finn? Brad Gordon? Angel Anup? Miles Milligan?
034Have a motion to approve the agenda for tonight's meeting of June 17th, 2026? I make the motion. Do I have a second? Second. All in favor? Aye. Aye. Any opposed? Have a motion to approve the minutes from the board meeting of May 20th, 2026. So moved. Do I have a second? Second. All in favor? Aye. There's no public comment. Thank you to the administration and the staff for the kindergarten graduation, the eighth grade move-up, and the high school graduation. And then also congrats to Mike, Jess, and Chris on their high school graduation, their family's high school graduation as well. The maths two graduation was beautiful. I'm sure the maths one was- Oh, yeah ... every bit as nice. On to the resolutions A, one through three. Motion for adoption? So moved. Do I have a
035second? Second. Any questions on the personnel resolutions? No. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Special ed one through 15, motion for adoption? So moved. Do I have a second? Second. Kim, thank you for putting this all together for our last board meeting. Is there anything that you want to touch on before opening it up to questions? No. Thank you, everybody. Just trying to prepare for this school year to have all the contracts in place and not wait until August to lose spots and positions that are filled as well. So I thank everybody for approving them in June. Okay. Any questions on the special ed one through 15? No? Okay. If not, all in favor? Aye. Aye. Any opposed? Academic C one through five, motion for adoption? So moved. Do we have a second? Second. Congrats
036to the graduates for the class of 2026. Any questions or comments on the academic resolutions? Nope. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Board considerations D.1 through 7, motion for adoption. So moved. Do I have a second? Second. I'm going to jump to D4. Mike, could you walk us through this resolution on the bond? I should also point out that Holly Horsley is also on the call. She is one of our lawyers in the bond offering. Okay, so this resolution basically authorizes the school to go out to the markets and incur debt, and names those people on the board or on the administration who have the authority to act on behalf of the organization. The resolution names all the parties involved in the transaction, how much you will be borrowing, what the funds will be used
037for, who the authorized signers will be, how the debt will be secured. There are various documents that are involved in this transaction. There's a loan agreement, there's a master trust indenture, there's a sub-trust indenture. There will be a new lease agreement between the school and Isaac Newton Foundation. Actually, the school is using the lease to secure the debt through rental payments. The trustee on the deal will receive your school district subsidy on a monthly basis. They will deduct from that subsidy the principal and interest payments on a monthly basis, and then they will release the remainder of the funds to the school. And that typically happens on the same day that the monies are received from the school district of Philadelphia, or the next day. There will be an offering document. The offering document basically
038tells the story of MAST Two and Isaac Newton Foundation. It's pretty comprehensive. There will be bond documents, so the assignment of the lease between Isaac Newton and MAST Two to the trustee, as I just stated. Your subsidy will go to the trustee every month, and then those funds will be released back to the school. If anybody has any questions on this transaction and anything I've just mentioned, I'd be glad to answer them. Okay. Holly, is there anything that you want to add? I should've mentioned Holly's with Barnes and Thornburg, formerly Balter's Bar, right? Right. Okay. Yeah, thank you. No, Mike actually has done a great job, and I was thinking, sounds like he could take over my job, so He's described the resolutions very well in all the meetings. So, but happy to answer any
039questions. Okay. I'll stick with finance. Any questions on the board considerations? No. Okay. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Operations E.1 through four, motion for adoption. So moved. Do I have a second? Second. Any questions or comments on the operations resolutions? Quick question on E3, Lou. Yep. The vans are being replaced by these two new Ford Transit vans. What happens to those vans? Do they get sold? Do we recoup anything off of them, or what happens there? Trade in, Matt? I'll chime in here. So, Chris, short answer is I don't know yet. We know we need to get new vehicles because these are 20 years old. We've been told by Wolfington that they would essentially take them off our hands, but there's really no cash value that they would give us if we do that.
040But we know we can do that if we want to. Separately, we can look to do it privately, and we probably will look to do it privately, and get what we can for it. There is also the chance we could be like, "Hey, maybe we can convert this to use it on our facility site," take out the seats. So, to be determined. But I don't expect to get a lot of money, even if we can get something for them. Got you. Yeah, I was just curious. $200,000 on two vans, I understand that they're specially outfitted. I get it. Just a big chunk of change. So just curious if we could offset it in any way. Yeah. But I'm good. Thanks, Matt. Sure. Any other questions? No. All in favor? Aye. Any opposed? Technology F1, motion
041for adoption. So moved. Do I have a second? Second. Any questions or comments on the technology resolution? If not, all in favor? Aye. Any opposed? No grants this month. I'll turn it back over to Mike for the controller report. Sorry. Can I just add one... I just thought of one thing real fast. Sorry to- Yeah, go ahead, Matt ... say it. It is also noteworthy as I'm thinking about it, the vans we're talking about were actually donated from MAST One a couple of years back. So there was actually no cost for MAST Two for these vehicles. So ultimately, it's not like we're losing money on them, but certainly obviously buying new vans, there's a cost to that. But That sounds like the same math that my 16-year-old says. Even if I sell it, it should
042be back at me. I like the way he thinks. All right. Go ahead, Mike, take it away with the controller report. Okay. So you're currently being paid for 1,898 students. Have 192 days cash on hand. All revenues and expenditures through the end of May have been recorded. There's a number of new transaction listed on the narrative, as thus preparing for closing, if you will, year-end close. We expect the auditors to be in end of August, beginning of September. Total disbursements for the month was a little north of $900,000. Checks over $20,000 are listed at the bottom of the report, and if anybody has any questions, I'd be glad to answer them. Thanks, Mike. Nothing from me. Does anyone have any questions for Mike? Have a motion to approve the controller report. So moved. Have a
043second. Second. All in favor? Aye. Aye. Any opposed? John is on vacation this month, so no CEO report. I don't think we have no teachers or students, right? I was able to meet- I couldn't believe our meetings were so fast. Yeah. I was able to meet Miles after graduation and thank him for being the student rep. He's off to Cheney University. Wished him the best, but seemed to be a very nice kid, and like I said earlier, the graduation itself was fantastic. But with that, I'll turn it over to the administration. Thanks, Lou. Just wanted to start off tonight by thanking definitely our board of trustees for all of the support throughout the school year, and also to everyone from the network who was on this call for all your support during the school year.
044Overall, great school year wrapping up. We did see a big decrease in our suspension numbers, which was one of the big goals that we wanted to focus on. So a big thank you to our deans and our counselors who supported in implementing those reflective practices in our restorative learning space, so we were able to decrease those numbers greatly. But we're already talking as an admin team of moving into next year, how we can definitely tighten up and make some adjustments for those spaces as well. Like Lou said, we had a very busy week last week with two kindergarten graduations, the eighth grade move-up, and the high school graduation. But all four ceremonies went very well. And now we're just looking forward for next school year. We have some positions that we need to fill, but
045we already are in the process of interviewing, working on our schedules for next year, and all the planning that needs to take place. But it's already happening, and the summer will be busy for us. Longcrest will come to Tacony Campus, so we will host our ESY for special education, and we have our summer academy for both campuses will be at the Tacony Campus. But yeah, just wrapping up the year and looking forward to the next one. Thank you, Lauren. Mm-hmm. Anyone have any questions for Lauren? No. I don't have any. There's no committee reports. Any new business or old business from the group? No? Okay. If not, then can I have a motion to adjourn? So moved. Have a second? Second. All in favor? Aye. Aye. Aye. All right, everyone. Enjoy your summer. We're off
046for July. See everyone mid-August. See you, everybody. Thank you, guys. Have a great summer. Thanks a lot. Thank you.
