Yeah. Okay. Thank you. Where did she die? That's what I'm saying. Maybe he Yeah. Yeah. It's fine. Yeah, I have those two and Bailey bought them for Yeah. video I'll go watch the frisbee. You what? Well, no. I don't think we're going to have to do anything >> [laughter] >> Anyways, He was in the craft room. He was going to come in his own car. And I said to him, you know, Listen to me yesterday. So, you know, some company I'm really hoping she says So, what? social security >> [laughter] >> social security said there's one to one schedule He has a schedule. >> [screaming] >> I do not. >> [screaming] [cheering] [screaming] >> We're not LAZY AT ALL. >> [screaming] [screaming] [cheering] [screaming] [cheering] [screaming] [cheering] [screaming] [cheering] [screaming] [cheering] [screaming] [laughter] [screaming] [cheering]

[screaming] >> JUST MADE QUICK WORK OF THE FIRST TWO batters here. Let's see what Bella can do. Shot hack on that thing. Fouled it back. Fouled it back to the backstop, but that's that's a great swing though right there. >> Oh, it's a great swing. Yes, it's a great swing. She's just timing's a little bit off, but if she can get on base, Caroline Caroline would be would be up at up next, so. Be nice if we can get Bella on. Yes. Bella takes ball low, one and one. Domestico, much like her freshman battery mate uh for the first couple games, Ava Vendetti, is also off to a hot start hitting over .500 to start the season. She takes ball two to the backstop, up now two and one. Bella comes in hitting Becket toes

and throws. Inside. Good. Domestico takes the walk. >> Good job, Bella. All right, Caroline. Coming up to the plate now is today's catcher, Caroline Kyra, the junior. Comes in having a pretty hot start uh at the plate. She is right now s- officially five for her first seven uh in the first two full games. So, Kyra is swinging a pretty hot bat right now. Let's hope that she can keep this thing going with Domestico on first. And then Ruby's on deck. Yeah, four if if if four and five can get hot, this team can be pretty good. Kyra and and Kazanjian uh have the have some power in the four-five spot. Uh We are using the courtesy runner Yeah, it looks like he is using the courtesy runner. Uh Haley Buterman, who has got good

wheels, coming in to run for Bella Domestico at first base. Uh Becket toes the rubber and she throws to Kyra. Who takes low, wild pitch. Buterman gets to second on the wild pitch. We now have a runner in scoring position for Caroline Kyra, who's up in the count 1-0. Wind is howling here, folks. >> picked up. Kyra takes another one inside. Catcher does not handle it clean. Buterman is able to go to third and Kyra on the throw gets Buterman home, manufacturing runs with speed on the base paths. A wild pitch and error by the catcher gets Haley Buterman across home plate and Caroline Kyra is up two and oh in the count to Sophia Becket. Uh Clockers are now up one to nothing as the catcher is looking to go settle down her friend

in the circle. Well, we'll take the runs however we can, Wayman. You know you know what? That's we we make them work, so put them on put them on their heels. So, Caroline's still up. Yeah, nice to be able to manufacture a run there, put speed in the base paths. Couple wild pitches take advantage. Great base running by Haley Buterman. Good heads up. She was aggressive. I mean, the ball didn't really get away from the catcher, but she forced the catcher to make a bad throw to third and then and then uh the mis- little mis-handle in outfield and so Haley was able to come home on that, so. Kyra fouls one off. >> Heads up, Down the right field line. So, I definitely had the scout report on her and if you are not

keeping your head up in the right field territory when Caroline is up to plate, you are not being careful. She is definitely an opposite field hitter and she will send some foul balls our way. Ooh, she got hit. Tough day to get hit. Kyra wears one on the back. She's a catcher, she's tough, she can take it. Hit by a pitch, she's not going to be happy, I know that, but life happens. Wear to wear it there for Kyra. Again now, I wonder if Sasso will take advantage of the courtesy runner situation, especially since Kyra just took one off the back. I would think that he's going to get somebody out there to run for her in this situation. >> Yes, Bella and Rebecca Kreisman. He also has Lexi Meloni on the bench as well,

I believe. Uh no, she's not here today, so. Oh, Lexi is not with us today. >> Yep. Oh, Rebecca Kreisman coming in uh with a little bit more speed than Caroline on the bases. So, the senior senior captain is coming in as a courtesy runner for Kyra. Okay. That'll give Kyra a chance to get um get get her catcher catcher gear on, so. Well, RBI opportunity here even with a runner on first for Ruby Kazanjian. They if there's a runner on base, she can knock them in. Great bat and now we get a runner on second with another wild pitch. >> Yes. Kreisman takes second and Kazanjian is ahead in the count 1-0. Uh Ruby definitely has has power and and she tends to pull the ball. We'll see what happens today with the wind,

but I I like our chances right now with the big bat up at plate. Yeah, the left fielder looks like the left fielder looks like she's pulled in a little bit, too. Heads up. Big swing by Kazanjian. She fouls one off to the right side. It is one and one. Again, Sophia Becket working in the circle. Not looking quite as fast as Domestico, but she's working at a pretty good pace. No, but if she can put one in between the gap right there, that'll score Rebecca. Oh, another wild pitch. Yeah, we will we will take this. Just a little bit little bit trouble with control right now. Another wild pitch. Becca at third and third now. Friesen moves to third. Kazanjian looking for an RBI single here to knock a run in. That one went

in the ground. She's coming home. >> comes home on the wild pitch. >> Slide safe. Again, manufacturing runs with our wheels on the base path through wild pitches. So, a walk and a hit batsman leads to two runs and it is three and one for Kazanjian. Patience at the plate has paid off so far with some good heads-up base running by the Clockers. >> Very good. Very good. Making the pitcher work too, Ruby is. Becca wheels, deals. Foul ball. >> Foul ball. That's a it's a foul ball right in the box. So, Kazanjian gets to three and two here with two outs in the bottom of the first. Clockers lead two nothing, no one on. Lorelei on deck. >> [laughter] >> And that was going to just get over the second baseman's head into right

field. Nice little single, great placement there by Kazanjian. Good hit. Drops one in for the first hit of the game for the Clockers. >> too. Opposite field too. Yeah, nice piece of hitting there on a three-two count by Kazanjian. Waiting on it. Waiting on it, seeing it all the way through the plate, taking it the opposite way, dropping that in just in front of the right fielder. Good piece of hitting by Ruby. And that brings up Lorelei Collette. That movie's got to take second. Another wild pitch. And >> [screaming] >> another base taken by the Clockers. Great read there by Ruby. Collette, another kid who can really hit the ball. Runner in scoring position. Let's see if she can get an RBI. Ooh, something. Big swing there by Lorelei on a tough pitch by Becca.

One and one is the count. Clockers up two nothing now in the bottom of the first with a runner on second base. Collette with a good rip to right field. Not fielded cleanly by the right fielder. Ruby takes >> Ruby's coming home. That's that's a great great piece of hitting and running. Great piece of hitting by Lorelei, knocks in the run by Ruby coming around from second. A good hot shot to the right fielder. That's a good piece of hitting there too by Collette. Another opposite field hit. And this brings up senior Taylor Kotch with Collette on first base. Again, two two outs with two outs. >> damage with two outs. You get you you you take advantage. A walk, a hit batsman a couple of a couple of singles and some timely base running

by the Clockers and all of a sudden it's a three nothing lead here in the bottom of the second. >> Yep. That ball got in for a strike, so that one was a little low. One and one to Taylor Kotch. So, Lorelei is certainly going to be watching to see if another one of these balls can get past this catcher. Let's see if she can get on second base. >> We have Quinn Herder on deck. If Taylor can Another ball gets past. That's a that's going to go down as a pass ball, popped out of the catcher's glove. >> just a little bit of bobble, so the catcher's not helping the pitcher out much either, so even even the last one, it was like the ball was in front of the catcher. Um you know,

didn't really get away from uh it wasn't a wild pitch, but again, just a little mishandle behind the plate and we're taking advantage of that. Little high. So, we got a three-one count uh two-one. Sorry, lost the count there for a second. Two and one. Two and one to Kotch. Collette is at second base. Should be running on anything. That one was That one got in. All right, you see it? Don't mind her taking a look at that one there. But now she's got two strikes, getting a little bit more aggressive at the plate here, Taylor. Let's see what she can do. Wheels, deals. High pie, past. Wild pitch. So, what it was a three and two count. Uh I did have it right the first time, Wayman. All right, that's all right. Should should

have followed my gut. Taylor works a walk and Collette is on third on that wild pitch. So, Quinn Quinn can Quinn they're out there out there for you, Quinn. I would I would have to assume that Kotch is going to be running here with runner on third and two outs. They can force a bad throw or just uh catcher's indifference. Doesn't go yet. Takes a ball one to Herder. That was low. And Taylor stayed at first base. It'd be nice to see if we can get her into scoring position for Quinn. Take the fourth play out out as well out of play as well. Quinn, a good contact hitter. Let's see what she can do ahead of the count one-oh. Takes one outside, gets ahead. Two-oh and still Taylor Kotch is staying on first base.

Throw over to third to try to get Lorelei off base, but Lorelei got back in plenty of time, so just a quick check. Kotch takes the signs from coach Sasso over at third base. Cam Curtis is our assistant coach coaching first. Kotch does indeed go now on that mishandled pitch by the catcher. We're going to have another pass ball and Kotch gets to second. So, now we've got a three-oh count. Three-oh count for Herder with runners on second and third. Have to be thinking take here. Let's see what happens. She's got She gets the green light. Gets the green light. Takes a good hack. Three and one for Herder. Uh still her count. Let's Let's see what she does here with runners on second and third. It's loaded up here for Holly if she can

get on base. And Ooh, that's strike out. Again, I must have lost the count there, Wayman, so shame on me. She she took one looking to end the inning. It is strike three. >> we got three across, so Certainly did. Three runs across, three runs on only two hits, one error and two left on after one. Ashland Clockers three, Wayland Warriors zero. Uh coming up to the plate here for Wayland in the top of the second, Wayman, we have uh third baseman Caitlyn DeGiulia, left fielder Abigail Bergeron, and catcher Sophia Gorky. Gorky. So, Wayman, you've been uh covering the Ashland sports scene for quite some time. Typically, you're doing the lacrosse games or or other sports. Nice to have you joining us here for your first softball No, absolutely. So, these players I've watched them

play since they were in Ashland youth baseball softball. From from T-ball through first, second grade in town. Um so, happy to see these players stick with it and and they're making I mean they're they're they're thriving here, so Uh very exciting. I know you were the coach for some of them growing up. Yes, absolutely. Um spring, summer, even fall ball. Um But it's good to see this core group of girls just just grow together. Um Play for each other. And again, hopefully you know, looking forward to a really good season. Caitlyn DeGiulia takes the first pitch from Domenico on the top of the second. High for ball. Uh but the next pitch is swinging a miss and and Domenico leaves it off. >> check swing. One one and one. Bella back in the circle again

with pace. Looking to see if she can keep the Clockers ahead here. That's going to be a foul ball off the off the shin. It looked like it hit the batter in the shin. >> Yeah, a little bit of confusion there cuz the ball kind of trickled into play, but but the ump called it a foul ball. One and two is the count. Let's see if Domenico has another punch out in her here. Good. Ooh. >> Foul ball. Foul tip. Foul tip. Catcher couldn't quite squeeze that one. Tough tip, little bit low. Uh but we still ahead of the count one and two. Bella Bella is dealing. She is dealing and that's what she does, Wayman. She deals. Again, she throws strikes. That's her game. Little change Ooh. Little little off speed. Little off speed

change up there. Not a bad pitch to waste. Two and two to Caitlyn DeGiulia. Little fun fact for you here, Wayman. I played Little League baseball with Caitlyn DeGiulia's father, Chris. That's incredible. It's a the full circle moment, Mike. >> Knocks knocks one foul down the first base line. Chris was a heck of a player. We played on the 12-year-old Red Sox together. We did win the Wilmington Little League World Series title Amazing. uh together as champions. Chris DeGiulia. >> And now his daughter's in the box and Caroline's behind the plate catching. Pretty fun moment. That's a that's a full arc right there. Ooh. Ball three and two >> Just a little low. to DeGiulia. So, what I can't do is root for her. I obviously want to see her have success, just not against

the Ashland Clockers. You can go say hi after the game. Ooh. And that one's going to be just down. That's good patience. Another walk for Bella. It's the second walk of the day. The last one caused no harm. Let's hope that this will be the same as Abigail Bergeron, center field I'm sorry, left fielder at the left fielder The left fielder is a lefty too, so first lefty up at bat today. Shows bunt, gets by Kyra. Looked like that was going to be a strike. I think she offered. I did not see the umpire give it a single. No, the Julia took a second on that. >> Can you check the game change and see if he called that a ball or a strike for me, Wayland? I'm trying to see what he's got here.

Looks like he's got 02. So, 02 two strikes on the batter. The first one wasn't indeed a strike, but Just 0 one and two to Bergeron. Runner on second base. Again, I'm I'm unfortunately blocked here by this first base coach. She likes to stand directly in my way. Tough spot. Strike three looking. >> Pitch. Good pitch, Bella. Another another backwards K for Domestico. And we've got one down for the number eight hitter catcher Sophia Gorky comes to the plate with the runner on second base. Domestico deals low. Looks like she might have lost that one. Lost the handle on that one. Not a big deal. Wastes that first one 1-0. Cold day. You got to keep those hands warm inside. Little outside. Outside to Gorky who's ahead of the count 2-0. Again, got to be

a tough day to pitch like this and in the cold, especially being out after a long inning. Your offense put up some production. Hopefully she's keeping her hands warm in the dugout. Yes. That was a good pitch. Comes back pitch. >> 2-1 now to Gorky. One out, runner on second base for the number eight hitter for the Warriors. Domestico deals. Good swing and a miss. Ooh. Caroline with a good recovery. >> uses it for a second. No harm done. Good recovery. I don't think they want to run on on on Caroline there. So, I got the scouting report on her. 2-2 count here. Domestico Strike three. Got in there. Another one looking. Another backwards K for Bella. That is her fourth strikeout on the day. Bringing up not the designated player today Eliza Goldman. Goldman

swings and misses in the first pitch. Goldman comes in as the nine hitter. Falls behind 0-1 to Domestico. Top bottom of the Sorry, top of the second. Domestico another pitch. Foul tip strike two. Runner on second base. Clockers with a three nothing lead here. And Bella after that, you know, first walk the lead off walk, she usually settles in nicely. Yep. Little high. Little high. Little high. She was trying to see if see if the if the batter would chase, but Didn't bite. Not a bad miss on 02 there. >> Not at all. She wouldn't go for the high one. Absolutely. One and two. I'm looking for Bella to just blow this one right by her here. Let's see if she does it. And in this case she does. She's giving another one looking. A

backwards K for Bella D. And it is three strikeouts in the inning for Bella Domestico. Five on the day. No hits. No runs. One left on base for the Warriors. >> And even more impressive all three were looking. So, um again, she's dealing. She is dealing and that's what we talked about, right? Bella if nothing else is incredibly consistent. She's going to throw strikes. She had a couple walks so far, but she came back strong. It's She's a She's a really mature freshman who is pitching like she's been doing it for for for years and she has been, right? She's been pitching at a high level. Bella's a high level club player. Uh she's been playing U18 over the summer as a as a freshman. I mean, playing up like that it gives you a

lot of great experience. I I know she plays alongside Ava Vendetti. Uh and and they they have both got U18 reps as That's invaluable. >> who are probably actually eligible for U14. >> That's that's invaluable experience right there. Yeah. So, coming up in the bottom of the the the second inning for the Clockers, Holly Cashin who's playing right field today is going to lead off and then it gets us back to the top of the order. If Holly can get on for for Nico, love to see her get going and see if the Clockers can put a few more runs on the board as this day is going to get dark fast, I think. We are here. Yeah, we >> Already at 5:40. Yeah, we need to work fast. We've got to work fast. We

want to get this game in. It started incredibly late. Wayland had bus issues getting here. It seems to be the typical story for all the teams in in the Metro West region these days. Nobody can seem to get a bus to a game on time. Yep. But we do have Holly, Nico, and Ava up. So, Holly making her first at bat of this game. Seeing if she can lead off to help out her fellow pitcher Bella Domestico. Holly also pitches for the Clockers. She saw a lot of time in the circle last year as a freshman. Uh today she gets the start in right field. And it goes 3-0 Ashland going to the bottom of the second right now. Just to quickly set before we get the first pitch. Put it in play. >> Cashin

takes the first pitch. Grounds it to third base and it is a good play by the third baseman DeJulio to throw out Cashin. Nice stretch by the first baseman, but Holly put your bat in the ball. That one's going to go down as 5-3 bringing up Nico Eustace who struck out [snorts] her first at bat today. Eustace takes the first pitch. Strike one. Ooh. Strike two to Eustace who falls behind the count 1-2. This happened to her in her first at bat as well. Was hoping Nico can battle back here and get herself on base. Right at the top of the box. Jeez, she's Hopefully she can put this one in play. >> Beckett deals to Eustace and it is a She might have run ground. >> ground ball to Nico. SAFE. OH. NICO NOT

ABLE TO BEAT IT OUT. >> a close play at first. Uh Nico always makes it close. Nice play by Beckett coming off the mound fast. Able to get a streaking Nico Eustace down the first baseline. Unfortunately, she was not quite fast enough. Uh that's two outs now for Ava Vendetti who grounded out to second base her first bat of the game. And then Bella on deck. Vendetti grounds one to first. Quick inning for the Warriors. Three unassisted. And we go down 1-2-3 in the second. No hits. No runs. Nobody left on base. It is going to be 3-0 Clockers going into the top of the third. Tough way to tough way to come back after a really good first inning. Not to get anything on the board, not even a base runner in the second.

But got to be patient for these young Clockers. Hopefully they get the bats going in the third. Yes, absolutely. But we also want the game to move along a little bit. So, I think um Well, let's see what happens here in the in the top of the third for uh for the Wayland Warriors. They've got their top of the order coming up. Kira Hines the shortstop is going to lead off followed by Olivia Carmelowitz and Sophia Beckett. Um Hines and Beckett were both the victim of backwards Ks from Domestico in the first inning and Carmelowitz was one of Bella's two walks on the day. Uh so, none of these players have put the ball in play just yet. But we'll see what happens to start off this third inning. No lacrosse game today, Wayland. That's

what brings you out here today? >> No, it's today for an away game. Oh, they do? >> It's an away game. So, um uh it was an earlier start. So, um I think our home games the away games are depending on the start time. So, Okay. Um so, we'll see how their their their game is just underway. All right. We'll have to give a shout out to the the Ashland High School varsity lacrosse team uh at some point see if we can get a score on that one to let folks know. But we are back here at Hunt Field for the first pitch of the third inning which is dropped by a fan down the first baseline. Can't quite keep his hands on it. E fan. >> [laughter] >> And it is going to be

a strike one on that foul ball. Now, if this was banana baseball, that that fan had caught the ball I would have been an out. 01 to the lead off hitter Kira Hines. Domestico deals. And it is a hot shot to first base. >> Ruby Kazanjian. Ruby Kazanjian makes the play on the line shot right back at her. Great play by Kazanjian. Hot glove over there at first. And we've got one out in the top of the third. Score that one L3 for the line shot to first. Strike Oh, just a little bit outside. Looked good to me from my angle, but again this vantage point is not quite what That that Beland has behind the plate. >> That didn't look good as well to me. So, but called it a ball. One and oh

to Olivia Camelo-witz. Swing and a miss. Foul ball. Foul ball. Foul tip on that one. Domenico gets back gets back even. I think that she should be oh two right now. I think her father agrees with me. I saw him give that nod of approval, but sometimes it just doesn't go our way. One and one's the count. Domenico deals. Change up goes on the ground. We've got two and one to Olivia Camelo-witz. Camelo-witz did work a walk her first time up. Let's see if Bella has better luck this time. Three and one is the count. You know, it's it's it's tough sometimes for these young pitchers to lose a first pitch when you think it's a strike. You lose it You got to be able to shake that off. You got >> block it out.

Just wait Just throw your next pitch. >> But it's it's You have to think it it impacts her a little bit. You got a long shot here. Oh, it's in the gap. She goes She chases it down. She tracks it down. Mis-handles it. >> But she's rounding second. She's descending into third. Might be a play at third. Cuts off. So, that's a gap hit. It was mis-handled a little bit in the outfield by Eustace. I think they could have held them to second. >> Yep. But we'll We're going to put that down in the in the score book as a double. Um I'm going to put that in my book. I'm going to put that as a double with an E8 that caused her to get to to third. I think that's fair. Would you

say, Wayman? >> that's fair. I mean, that ball was in the gap. Nico Nico with all her speed did chase it down, but there was a little bit of a bobble and it allowed the player to uh get to third. So. >> So, we get a runner on third base for Sophia Beckett, the pitcher. Good luck. >> stops that one uh to avoid any potential damage on a wild pitch. So, we'll see how Bella comes back here. First hit of the game puts a runner on third base. Looks right back to her. She looks her back at third. That's a fantastic play. >> a nice play. So, I got to tell you that's what when we talk about a young kid playing who's got tremendous experience in the circle, she's able to get that come

backer, looks the runner back at third. Fantastic, fundamentally sound softball by Bella Domenico. Beautiful. Getting the out over at first base. That's why Bella is my favorite player on this team. I've said this for years. I I don't like her quite as much as the catcher today, but she she is definitely one of my my favorite players ever. She just She knows the game really well. Uh she she makes the right play fundamentally. And And that's that You know, that saves a run, right? >> That saved a run. Great job. >> Looked her back and then and then made the play at first. So, yep. Little meeting on the mound right now with the coach. Makes sense. >> Let's get this out and then and then escape with no damage. Kelsey Kaufman coming to the

plate. Kaufman did reach base on a single. I gave her a a infield hit to deep in the deep in the hole to hurt her in the first inning. So, hopefully Quinn is ready for action coming her way. First pitch strike. >> [laughter] >> Domenico deals to get ahead of Kelsey Kaufman, the clean-up hitter for the Wayland Warriors. It's a low hit bobbled by THIRD BASE. NICE STRETCH. GOT IT. VENDETTI. What a play. What a stop, Vendetti. Showing off her strong arm. She didn't field it cleanly, but stuck with it. Strong arm, great throw to first base. Good stretch by Kazanjian. Getting out of that inning with no harm done off the the double by Camelo-witz who was stranded at third base after two good defensive plays by the young freshman Domenico and Vendetti. And

now let's see if the Clockers can answer with three, four, and five coming to the plate in Domenico, Kyra, and Kazanjian. Harder order. That was a nice um That was a nice inning defensively for uh for us. And those are the kind of innings that we are not used to seeing here for Clocker softball. It What You know, been around now this is my third year with the varsity program watching this team play. And that's what you've got to do, right? You've got to avoid innings that where one mistake turns into two, which turns into three. That's right. >> Instead, we had a big hit. Uh we had a mis-handled ball out in center field, but it didn't turn into a second error. It didn't turn into a third error. Instead, you've got a really

heads-up play by the pitcher keeping the runner on third base. And then a hot shot to third that's handled well by Vendetti who who fires it through with a great stretch by Kazanjian to get out of the inning. Now Bella has a chance to help herself. Bella takes the first pitch high. Gets ahead of the count. One and oh. Domenico worked a walk in the first. And it's the bottom of the inning and it Yep. getting a run scored but with with uh Haley Buterman who was the courtesy runner, right? It is bottom of the third and still three nothing Ashland. Three nothing Ashland. Domenico ahead of the count two and oh. Ooh. Bella takes a swing and a miss. Big hack. Big hack by Domenico. She's still ahead of the count here two and

one. The outfielders are respecting her, playing back a little bit. So, they must have a scouting report on her. She has some power, so. Takes one outside. Three and one. Domenico's got to love this one here. Uh there's you know, she she walked in the first. Beckett has been the victim of a few walks so far today. So, I imagine Bella might be taking all the way here. Let's see. She takes a foul ball. Good hack at a good pitch. Fouls that one down the first base line. Three and two count now to Domenico to lead off the third. Kyra's on deck. Yep. Get Kyra on deck. Followed by Kazanjian in the hole. Be nice if they can put one across one or two across here in the in the third inning. Domenico takes ball

four. Nice play. You would think that they would probably get her a courtesy runner. I imagine it will be the same as it was in the first inning. Looks like coach Sasso is calling time. Haley Buterman. >> back out to courtesy run for Bella Domenico. Uh smart move, right? Haley is is fast in the base paths. Allows Bella the opportunity to get inside, stay Get a Get a jacket on her and some hand warmers or something. >> Stay warm. Kyra up to plate looking for a little revenge on Beckett who put one in her back her first time up. That's right. Kyra steps in. She takes the first pitch. Not hers. Looks like it might have been a little out, but we're going down oh one. Beckett throwing on the rubber. And she deals. That's

going to be Ooh. just away from the catcher. I I I think that with Haley's speed, she might have been able to take second on that. >> the coach wanted her to go too, so. >> I do, too. I think he was looking for it. She's got to get a little better of a secondary lead there. Didn't get a good read on it, but that's okay. Don't want to risk the out. Kyra swings and a miss. Took a big hack there. Down one and two now. That was a high pitch and Kyra was wanted to wanted to send that one to the moon or something, but Kyra's down now one two. Got to protect the plate. That's low. Two and two. Two and two. Two and two. >> Haley retreats back. Can Kyra looking for

her sixth hit of this young season? She's got five already. Takes one high. Three and two count. >> Full count. >> Ooh, Haley. Throw over. Throw over from Beckett to first base trying to catch Buterman sleeping. She sneaks back in in time. Okay, here's the pay-off pitch to Kyra. Uh Beckett toes the rubber. She's going to wheel and deal. Kyra Puts it in play. Slow ground ball to second. >> Safe. She goes to reaches. Oh, Haley throws to first. And she makes it. Aggressive. So, Kyra reaches on an error by the second baseman. Puts the ball in play. Good things happen when you put in play. That one's going to go down as an E4 in the book. But Haley Buterman with some heads-up base running takes advantage of the error and gets to third.

Runners on first and third. I imagine he is once again going to get a courtesy runner for Kyra as well. Who is a Who is the catcher. Yep. And here comes Rebecca Kriegsman. Now you got some speed in the base paths with Buterman and Kriegsman at first and third with no outs and Kazanjian coming to the plate. Kudos to uh Kyra for just hustling down to first. You know, you never She didn't give up on that play. Yeah, and and you know, even though she gets on an error, it's putting your bat on the ball is the key, right? Put your bat on the ball and things happen and now we've got first and third with no outs. Kazanjian >> takes the first one low. Yep, Rebecca takes off on that. So, if we have

now second and third with no outs. Another wild pitch. Uh he she is sure making Sophia Gorky work behind the plate today. She is. Nice stop by Gorky. Who is who is really working hard back there. Rebecca just She she's throwing the ball with some good velocity. She's struggling a little bit with her control, especially with runners on base. I find that that she loses a little bit when the runners get on. Ooh. Big swing and a miss there by Ruby. Ruby was trying to end this game that [laughter] swing. Uh she does tend to have a long swing. She And and sometimes that comes back when she shortens that swing up. That's when Ruby does her best piece of hitting. Little foul. Little dribbler foul. Kessadjian now two and two. Two and two is

the count with no outs and a pair of ducks on the pond for one of Ashland's most powerful bats. Let's see if Ruby Kessadjian can knock in two here. And she Put it in play. >> puts another one in Just foul. >> looked almost identical to her first hit of the day, which was a fantastic [laughter] single down the first baseline and to right field. Uh this one just went foul. Again, she shortened up her swing a little bit. Wait a minute, that's what I like to see with Ruby. She she gets two strikes, she shortens that swing up. She she sees it all the way through, takes it to opposite field. Love to see Ruby do that again here with two strikes on her. Ooh. >> Takes one inside, three and two. Good eye.

Three and two is the count to Ruby Kessadjian with two runners in scoring position. Clockers lead three to nothing in the bottom of the third. Beckett deals. Put it in play. >> Ground ball to third. Buterman does not go. Buterman holds. Good play by the third baseman to hold Buterman there at at first. Decision by coach Sasso, a conservative decision and a probably a good decision. >> you know, might not have been one out. Definitely one out. So. Yeah. So, Kessadjian grounds out to third bringing up Lorelei Collette, who singled to the opposite field in her first time up as well with runners on second and third. And then Taylor on deck. Collette takes takes the first pitch low. Almost gets past Gorky. Again, Buterman heads up base running in the first inning. Let's see

if she can sneak across for another one here in the the bottom of the >> with the wild pitch if if Haley goes. Ooh, foul back. Collette with a big swing foul back to the backstop. One and one is the count with one out and two on for sophomore Lorelei Collette. Little high. Collette takes it high. Buterman decides to stay again, probably a good decision. That ball did not get too far beyond Sophia Gorky. Yeah, pitchers couldn't squeeze it, but didn't get away didn't get too far away from her. So. Two and one is the count to Collette. Ooh. Called strike there. I hope that Bella gets that call next inning. Uh looked a little bit low. And dropped. But Yeah. >> Two and two is now the count two and two to Collette. Beckett

looking to get out of her jam here with one out. She gets her with the changeup. Tough pitch there by Sophia Beckett gets Lorelei Collette way ahead of it on the changeup. A swinging strike three. Two outs now All right, let's go Taylor. >> for tri-captain Taylor Kotch. This is a great time for Kotch to get her, I believe, first hit of the season. I check out the season stats here for Taylor. I think she is chasing that elusive first one. >> [screaming] >> The perfect time for her to get it right here. Check. Looks like she tried to check her swing, but couldn't hold back. With that one and one. Okay. Foul. >> Foul ball. Two strikes now on Kotch. All right, Taylor, let's go. Put this ball in play, kid. Need Really be

a shame if we can't get these two across here. We got run and two runners in scoring position. We had second and third with no outs and now We did have second and third with no outs. Let's see if Taylor can keep us going here in this third. Good eye. Good eye. Enough to run on. Taylor works the count to two and two here. The pitcher or the catcher dropped the ball. Haley took a took a peek in and get back. Beckett deals to Kotch. Takes strike three looking. All right. >> And unfortunately Did not get any runs there. >> two runners on to start the inning. Two on, second and third, no outs. One, two, three for the next. So, that's a going to be a scoreless third inning off of no hits, no

runs, no hits. Uh and two left on base for the Clockers. Uh The The love be nothing, but >> That's too bad. It's too bad you have an opportunity there um with with two two runners on scoring position with no outs. Cannot capitalize. Uh but they're going to just go and play continue to play good defense behind Bella Domestico here and hopefully Bella can continue to deal entering into the fourth inning with five, six, seven in the order coming up. Audrey Collette bro, Caitlin De Julia, and Abigail Bergeron. In Collette bro's first at bat, uh she grounded one back to Bella. Uh Caitlin walked and Abby Bergeron struck out looking. On the day so far, Bella Domestico does have five strike outs on the day. Uh so, she is she is certainly pitching an efficient

ball game right now. No runs, two hits uh for Domestico right now. She's ready. Okay. That's a rip down left field to Taylor Kotch, who fields it cleanly, gets it in to Lorelei Collette. So, we start off the inning with an Audrey Collette bro rips a single to left field. Runner on first base for the number six hitter, Caitlin De Julia. De Julia walked in her first at bat. Let's see if Collette bro tries to run here. I would expect to see them try and get something going. Collette bro gaps one to right center. Equal. >> That's absolutely going to get a run in. De Julia I'm sorry, gaps one to right center. >> Hold her to second. Hold her to a double, but that was De Julia >> hit. Solid. That's probably the best

hit of the day so far. Uh Caitlin De Julia rips a double to right center field, gets in the gap. RBI single. Audrey Collette bro comes around from first. So, the Warriors right now have something going in the top of the fourth. Runner on second base, no outs, three to one Clockers. Abby up. Abby Bergeron up to plate, takes the first swing and a miss here. She's down oh and one. Uh again, Bergeron struck out looking her first time up. As did Sophia Gorky and Eliza Goldman, who are the next two batters. Be nice if Bella can keep that going. Foul ball. That's >> Check Yeah, check swing foul ball for Bergeron. Who now falls behind oh and two. Really be nice if if Bella can get out of this inning with as limited damage

as possible. >> Uh absolutely. Start right here. Going to get this batter out. Ahead of the count. Little low. That one sneaks past Kyra. Ooh. It's going to go as a pass ball. >> at No play at third. It's going to go as a pass ball for Caroline. And now runner on third. >> Get this Let's get this batter right here. Strike three. >> Yeah, good pitch. >> Another one looking. So, Bella is able to come back after that after two hits in a row and get another strike out. Uh now she is facing Number nine. >> Sophia Gorky, the catcher, who she got looking last at bat. Little changeup for ball. Falling behind the count here, one and oh. I thought she she's the number eight hitter. Yeah. Gorky is in the eight spot.

Ooh. Uh came off her That ball came off Bella's hands a little a little awkward, so >> A little awkward. >> But good block by Caroline. Good block by Caroline. 2-0 is the count here to Sophia Gorky. Want to get these eight nine batters if you can. Don't want to get to the top of the order especially with the runner on third. That's a foul ball down the first base line. Two and one to Gorky. Again, I think this is really important. This is an important important out here for Domestic. Really want to work this batter to see if she can get to the nine spot with two outs. Absolutely. Rather than turning over the order to Kira Hines and Olivia Carmelowicz. Looks like a good pitch there. Nice pitch, go Bella. Two and two.

Two and two Domestic fights back now. She's got two and two to Sophia Gorky. Runner on third base, one out. Let's go Bella, go after her. Top of the fourth. Looks like a good pitch. Strike three. That was a little delayed call there. A delayed call. Another another backwards K. So so far today Bella does indeed have seven strike outs. Each of them have been catching the Warriors looking. And she comes ahead of Eliza Goldman right now. 0 and 1 with two outs. Goldman the nine hitter who Bella struck out on four pitches in the last at bat. Love to see her get her on three right now. Ball one one and one to Eliza Goldman who is the designated player for the Warriors today. Bella's attacking though. She's going right at her. I think

you're right. I think she does want to see if she can just go right at her. Good. That's going to be just foul right out of the reach of Harley Cashin down the first base line. But the good news is Domestic is now ahead of one and two with two outs to Eliza Goldman. Let's see if she can end this inning and leave this runner stranded on third base. Get out of here with as limited damage as possible after a lead off single followed by that hot shot double by De Julia. And she does it. Oh, she missed. Just missed. The Paradise sideline here groans. That looked that looked good. May have been may have been a little high and away. I would have loved for us to see her get that call, but I

think she's going to come back right now and pull one right by her. Domestic, a foul ball. Stay alive. She's fighting. Goldman is fighting here. Tough with two strikes. Fouls another one off. Stay with it Bella. Wyman, we have earned some hot chocolate after this one. It is cold. It is cold. My coffee ran out a long time ago. >> [laughter] >> Oh, another foul ball. Staying alive. Goldman Eliza Goldman is fighting hard doing her best BG's impression. She is staying alive right now. We're hoping that Bella can put one past her. Uh maybe looking like she has for seven others today. Bella Bella has to keep on just keep on what she's been doing. That's going to be a wild pitch. Gets past Kyra. Can't get there in time. So the run unfortunately scores.

It is now only three to two. We saw our three run lead go away. Uh but we still have a three and two count here. Unfortunately that one got past the backstop. It got past Kyra to the backstop. And uh the runner from third came in. Hey Bella, let's get her still. Come on. Fouled off the strike. Eliza Goldman is fighting. We've got sticking here at this 3-2 count. Goldman has now fouled off three balls. >> Yeah, Bella has to has to stay composed. Don't get frustrated. Just just make your next pitch. Throwing strikes. Keep throwing strikes. Get out of this inning. Let's get the bats going. Oops, that's a high air fly to center. Yes, Yustaris. Yeah, Nico got it. Yustaris tracks it, makes a nice play for the out. >> That ball was

drifting on her, but she made she got under it and she made the nice play. Yeah, Yustaris showed some nice range out there in center field. This will be interesting to see if the Clockers can can answer now, right? We We've been a little quiet. The bats have been quiet since all day really. The The runs were manufactured by smart base running in the first. And now here we are in the bottom of the entering the bottom of the fourth. And the Clockers are hanging on to a 3-2 lead after we got two runs off of two hits. No errors. Nobody left on base going into the bottom of the fourth. And and the Clockers bats like I said have been quiet. Only two hits on the day. You had two opposite field hits. One

by Casadian in the first that was followed up by Lorelei Collette. Since then the Clockers have not uh had any base runners from from the batted ball. Yeah. So let's see if Quinn Herder can get us going. Herder then Cashin then the top to Yustaris. Uh really need to see if the bats can start catching up to Sophia Beckett here in the bottom of the fourth. Okay Wyman, Quinn Herder is stepping to the plate here the shortstop uh who struck out looking in her first at bat is facing Beckett to start the fourth. Herder shows bunt, pops it up foul. Behind the count now 0 and 1. Sun is starting to come down a little bit too Mike. So we have uh What do you say about 40 minutes? 35 40 minutes? Yeah, well I

you got to get through uh I believe five innings, right? >> Yeah, five. So I think they should be able to get through that without issue. Uh as Herder swings at the second pitch and she goes down 0 and 2 here to Beckett who has definitely got some good velocity. Uh the the problems that she's seen have really been about control. She go ahead Quinn. Quinn strikes out, but she has a dropped third strike. Unfortunately I think the hesitation that she had cost her the game. I think her first speed would have beat it. But she goes down with the dropped third strike K two to three in the book. This brings up Harley Cashin who grounded out to third her first time up. Hacks at the first one and fouls it back down 0

and 1. And Nico's on deck, so back to the top of the lineup after after Harley. Again, really be nice if Harley can get on. See if we can get something going with the top of the lineup. >> of those runs back. Absolutely. Especially because the top of the order is coming up to start Harley got hit. A little bit of a wild pitch. We'll take it. We'll take it. >> We'll take that. Again, some control problems for for Beckett as Cashin takes one off the foot. But we got one on now with one out. And Nico Yustaris looking for her first hit of the day. She comes in 0 for 2. Put it in play. >> to the shortstop. Yustaris has wheels. She beats it out. As like I said, if Nico puts the

ball on the ground, chances are she's reaching base and she uses her fast feet to get an infield hit. Yustaris now one for three on the day. Moves Harley over to second. We've got a little something brewing here in the bottom of the fourth with Ava Vendetti up after Yustaris gets the infield single. Go Ava. I think the shortstop also had her saw Harley running down second. Vendetti with a good cut on it. Fouls it over to the right side. Vendetti 0 for 2 on the day having grounded out to second base and an unassisted play by the first baseman. Down 0 and 1 here. Let's see if Ava can gap one. Puts up a solid hit. She gets the runners over. So Vendetti moves the runners over on the ground ball to second base.

Runners in scoring position now for Bella Domestic. Uh Vendetti grounds out to second. Two outs. Domestic with runners now on second and third looking to help herself. Seeing if she can add to this one run lead in the bottom of the fourth. So here we are second and third, one out. This this thing will go around, but we've got to get some runs in. >> No, we got two down Wyman. Two down. Yep, two down. Oh, Herder. Yep. Unfortunately Quinn struck out to lead off and then we get Ava's grounded out to second. Bella gets ahead of the count here 1 and 0. Okay. Would be a good time for another one of those wild pitches here to see if we can manufacture one. And a long fly ball to the right fielder who was

able to make the nice catch. And that's going to end the inning for the Clockers. Two more runners left stranded. Domestic puts her bat on it. Good good nice pitch, but yeah. Yeah, flies out to the right fielder uh to end the inning. Zero runs, one hit, no errors, and two more left on. That's six stranded so far by the Clockers today. After four here in Ashland at a very cold Hunt Field, it is three to two, Clockers over the Wayland High School Warriors. And now we have the top of the lineup up for Wayland, correct? We sure do. Top of the lineup is here, uh Kyra Hines, who is over two on the day. Uh she struck out looking her first time up and absolutely ripped a line drive to Ruby Casadean in the

third who made a nice play. Uh Carmela what's hit a double in the She was the one who hit that double to deep center uh in the in the third and back at grounded out to the pitcher uh in that same third inning. So, we've got a top of the order here who has put their bat on the ball for the best Domestico who is going into the top of the fifth here holding on to a three to two lead. Sun is going down, so Sun is going down. It is still cold. The wind is still howling, but Bella is still dealing. So, here she goes and she throws a first pitch change for a ball to Kyra Hines, the shortstop of the Wayland High Warriors. Domestico toes and throws, rolls one in. It's going

to be two and oh. All right, Bella. Let's go shake it off. >> those. I I I think that, you know, it's tough again getting your hands It must be freezing. Her hands look bright red. Yeah. Hard to get a grip. Ooh. That's a little low. >> Just a little low, falling behind the count here, three and oh. All right, Bella. Let's go shake it off. Reset, kid. Got to fight back here, three and oh to the lead-off hitter. Certainly not the kid that you want on base, especially by a freebie. Batter is most likely taking. And she does. She takes four in a row. Domestico gets the lead-off batter on here uh in the top of the fifth for Wayland, bringing up Olivia Carmela what's who did smash a double to center field in

the third. Yeah, I can see the um I can see somebody the coaches motioning for our players to get back a little bit, so >> Good stop there by Kyra. Uh Bella getting might be getting a little tired here. Not sure sure how many pitches she has thrown at this point. But she's thrown now five straight balls to start the the fifth. All right. Good pitch, keeping it low, coming back here, one and one, finds finds that strike zone again, and I think now she's going to refine that groove. Carmela what's the second baseman. Kyra, that one gets past her. Wayland player takes second. Runner on second. That's the tying run, so let's go, Ashland. Two and one here. The wind picks up. Three and one with the runner on second base. >> [snorts] >>

Definitely want Bella to settle down here. Although a walk isn't a terrible thing as it will bring the force back, a foul ball back to the plate. Be nice if we can get the out, but I would rather a walk than a hit here with runners in scoring position and let Bella try and get a force out in the next at bat. That's right. Carmela what's has proven herself to be a good hitter. Ball in play. >> Rips one to short. Herder goes to her knee, makes the play. Good good scoop here. Great scoop by Ruby Casadean who bails out her teammate. Again, Quinn had to go to her knees and and she made a great play to get to the ball. >> threw it out of line, so you know, gave it gave Ruby

a chance to make a play and Ruby Ruby made a great play, so Great gallus. That thing goes down in the books as a six to three. Definitely Ruby Casadean helping out. Looks like it might be a Is there a pitching change? Did the umpire fall? Oh my goodness. I think the umpire may have fallen. Hopefully he's okay. He can walk it off. I I hope he's okay. We might have to take a time out to make sure that umpire, base umpire Jeff Cranston, is okay. He did he did go down there. Um He's just going to try to walk it off. Sure the cold doesn't help either. We have got runners on third runner on third base who moved over on that last play where Herder made the uh diving stop to get it

over to Casadean who scooped it up. Again, runner on third with one out, Sophia Beckett, the pitcher, comes to the plate looking to help herself here. Beckett struck out looking in the first and hit a hot shot Right at >> right back to Domestico in the third uh who made that heads-up play to keep the runner on third in the third. So, let's see what happens here. Domestico deals to Beckett. First pitch high, ball one. One out. It would be interesting to to see what what Bella's pitch count is at this point. Oh, that's a good pitch. That was Came back with some speed. So, one and one. Good pitch. Ooh. Just a bit outside, I guess, two and one. She yeah, regained her regained her velocity in the last couple pitches. >> [screaming] >>

Do you have a do you have a a stat on number of pitches? >> I I do. I'm not sure if this is going to catch the pitch count live, but this is a foul ball to right field, two uh and it looks like at this point Domestico has thrown about 84 pitches. That was that was through four. I don't know if it updates. Yeah, no, 85 pitches right now. She's thrown 53 for strikes. >> Okay. I could throw a lot more pitches than that. I've seen that happen with her. Little low. >> That's a little low. Little low, three and two count here. Three and two count here in the top of the fifth uh to Sophia Beckett. Strike three. Nice pitch. >> Great pitch. That's exactly what you needed there, uh which brings

up Kelsey Kaufman who has singled in the first and grounded out to third in the third. So, she comes up here with two outs with the runner on third base um as the Clockers cling to a one run lead and that lead is now going to disappear. They gap in a right. >> Rounding second. >> Kaufman looking to get three. Misplayed >> it get it get the ball in get the >> in. Oh, they played the plate. No. All the way around. That's unfortunate. That that's that's going to be a double with an error by Collabro on the relay, and those are the kind of things that that end up hurting you in the long run. The relay just was not there. Um And now, unfortunately, the Clockers have lost their lead and are down

four to three. A good hit, a good gapper, Good gapper. >> but just the the relay the relay couldn't get there in time. Uh so, now Audrey Collabro comes to the plate with two outs in the top of the fifth and the Clockers are now down four to three. Good good pitch, Bella. Bella is still battling out there. Let's go, Bella. Yeah, Bella is certainly battling. One and one to Collabro. Strike two. Two. Think Bella might be pitching a little angry right now. That thing has some more velocity than we've seen all day from her. And I can't blame her. That should have been a double. And this is a hot shot past the diving Quinn Herder into the outfield. Desjarlais fields it cleanly, gets it back in, holding her to a single. So, Collabro

picks up her second hit of the day, which brings up Caitlyn DeGiulia, who has probably given the Warriors their best hit of the day when she ripped one to right center field for a double in the fourth. Ooh, swinging Changeup for a strike one swinging to DeGiulia. Collabro on first base, hitting DeGiulia down oh and one in the top of the fifth as the Warriors lead now four to three. Good pitch. Ooh, and a snap throw to first. Almost almost got her napping. >> Snap throw to first by Kyra on the 0-2 pitch. to Caitlin to Julia. Just missed her at first base there. The mess to go change up. That ball that You know, that's one of those things that umpire look like you wanted to call that. I'm not sure why he didn't

pull the trigger. It looked like he got fooled. He'll halfway there. I think he actually got fooled by that thing. It's unfortunate. Yep. Uh one and two. Ooh, and then he's Now it's two and two. Bella has been unfortunately uh missed out on a couple close calls here. Again, we don't have a great angle, so I I can't see it too too well. Um we're out here in right field. But that's strike three and she's able to manage out of that. >> Good good job, Bella. So she she forces a her first swing and strikeout of the day, but some damage was done. Two runs off of two hits and an error, a costly one. And now uh one runner was left on base and the Clockers are going to come up in the bottom

of the fifth finding themselves finding themselves down 4-3 Mhm. uh in the top of the fifth. But we got our cleanup hitter 4-5-6 hitters up, so Yep, hopefully they can get something going. Kyra leads off followed by Casedy and Collette and Kotch. Uh Kyra is 0 for 1 in the day reached on an error. I'm sorry, yes, 0 for 1 in the day. She Hit by pitch. was hit by a pitch in the first and reached on an error by the second baseman in the third. Casedy and is 1 for 2 with a single down the right field line and a groundout to the third baseman. And Collette is also 1 for 2 on the day with an opposite field single to right followed up by a strikeout in the third. Really need to get

the bats going here, Wayman. We got to get some run. We We got to get a run at least to at least tie it up and then hopefully we can keep it going, so The bats have been relatively silent. Only three hits on the day for the Clockers. Two opposite field hits, one by Casedy, and one by Collette in the first and an infield single by Nico Eustace in the fourth have been their only hits. So let's see if Kyra can get things going here in the bottom of the fifth inning as the sun is starting to fade here in Ashland. We're coming upon 6:27 right now, so don't know what time sunset is, but we got to get these get this inning in. Kyra's a good first pitch hitter. Let's see if she comes

out aggressive here against Beckett. Little high. Don't want to swing at that one. So that's high, it's 1-0. Kyra gets ahead of the count here against Sophia Beckett who has pitched a a decent game. She's settled in from some some early game Kyra singles to left field. It's past the left fielder, so we have a single on an error. So Kyra reaches second base. >> Kyra's going to position. Right on cue. Now the hot shot. Hot shot. The outfielder couldn't get her glove down and it got past her. So we'll give Kyra a single with an error by the left fielder which gets her to second base. Um surprised he's not going for the courtesy runner here. Ooh, I think I think I'm assuming he's going to as he has throughout the game. Rebecca Kriegsman

coming out to run for Kyra, especially with her in scoring position here. Good move by coach Sasso getting a little bit more speed on the base paths. Uh Kyra and starting off the game, that's a good way to do it. Get a runner in scoring position Right. for Ruby Casedy and >> Let's go, Ruby. who is 1 for 2 in the day looking for an RBI. Casedy and takes ball one. And it looked like Beckett put a little something extra on that one. Beckett's Beckett's going going on the on the offense, too. So she's she's attacking. Outside 2 and 0. Ruby gets ahead of the count which is big here. Mhm. Again, runners in scoring position with Ruby Casedy and one of the team's best bats up at the plate. Heads up. Foul back. Foul

over the right side for Casedy and who is still ahead 2 and 1. Infield played in a looks like the infield's played in a a teeny bit and outfield's played out and then so there's a big gap in between them, so drop one in, Ruby. Another foul ball to the right side. OOH, WHAT A PLAY. FIRST BASEMAN, I have got to give What a play. What a laid out. absolutely tremendous effort by Kelsey Kaufman. Laid out and and had it on her glove and it but got jarred uh jarred loose upon impact with the ground, but what a play. Every once in a while you see a kid just absolutely put their body on the line. Kelsey Kaufman went after that thing with reckless abandon. I I I mean I that was incredible. She's the

kind of kid I would want on our team. >> that's That is all out effort right there. All out effort is right. Love seeing that from from a from a young athlete. Obviously, she she cares about this game. >> She she wanted that out badly. >> She did. >> And she had it in her glove, but then again ground ground caused uh upon hitting the ground it caught it jarred it loose, so it's to our benefit, but So Casedy and gets a second life here after the tremendous effort by Kaufman who just can't come up with it after the diving diving attempt going into the dugout of the Clockers, but nonetheless Casedy and now has a 2 and 2 count with another life and yet the ability to potentially knock in the game-tying run with

Rebecca Kriegsman running for Caroline Kyra who led off the bottom of the fifth with the single that went past the left fielder which allowed her to reach second. Now you're saying that Ruby's a pull hitter, right? So Ruby tends to be a pull hitter, but today she went the opposite way, so >> So You know and you know and I think in this cold weather, right? It's tough to pull the ball. But yeah, Ruby Ruby is is a powerful hitter. So let's see if she can get a double here and trade places with Rebecca. Ooh. Takes a ball. Good eye by Casedy and works the count to 3 and 2. That was a good eye. That was a that was a close pitch, but Ruby Ruby Ruby saw it all the way, so waiting for

her pitch. Maybe this is it. Foul ball. Fouls it back. Casedy and fouls it back. Again, this is what we talk about wanting to shorten that swing up a little bit, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. Wayman, you got two strikes on you. Shorten that swing. Uh nice compact swing. Put one to the opposite She's strong enough that she just makes contact. I mean, it'll probably reach the outfield, so Yeah. AND SHE PUTS SHE BELTS ONE. Casedy and puts IT DEEP. REAL DEEP. CASEDY and looking for two, potentially three. STAND-UP DOUBLE TRADING PLACES WITH REBECCA KRIEGSMAN. Ruby Casedy and with a >> Ruby. long bomb. My My partner here is cheering. You called it. You said switch places with Rebecca. That's exactly what she did, Mike. >> kind of hit that we need. If there was a

fence here at at the field which I've been asking for all year long, maybe we would have had a two runs on the board, but nobody wants to give me that fence here at Hunt Field. Uh unfortunately, Casedy and's only held to a double there because we don't have a fence at Hunt Field, but we'll take that RBI double for Ruby. And we got Lorelei up with the ball play. >> hot shot to first and moves Ruby over to third base. All right. All right, we have Taylor Kotch up. Go, Taylor. Got that leading run on third waiting for you. Taylor Kotch with the runner on third base. Ooh, good swing. Good cut. That's That's Taylor's best cut of the year so far. >> was that was a great swing. Get the barrel on that,

that thing's going to go. Get Taylor get Taylor a double here as well. Be nice to see that happen. Uh especially with Ruby on third base. Really nice contact here is going to score a run that puts us ahead. Again, Casedy and aggressive base runner. So Taylor comes up with the with the go-ahead run at third base after Casedy and's double. So it's a little [snorts] high that pitch. Two and one to Taylor Kotch. All right, Taylor. Right here. We're all even at four now in the bottom of the fifth with one out and a runner on third. Kotch another pitch take. 3 and 1. All right. 3 and 1. Got to love this one now. Batter's pitch right here. If you like it, Taylor. Taylor's going to love this one, I think, Wayman. We

a walk right here is is is not a bad thing. Ooh. That was high. Puts one by her. Might have been a little bit up. Might have been a little bit up. Taylor's got herself a 3-2 count here looking for that pitch to hit. And Quinn on deck. Taylor works the walk. Good walk. >> works a walk. She's a great at bat for her. Great ball. First and third now with Quinn Herder coming to the plate. Herder is 0 for 2 on the day. Hopefully Taylor's aggressive. Again, it could be catch, you know, catcher indifference or something. So, maybe she'll get to second. Would be an interesting Would be an interesting thought right here if we can get Taylor over to second base on a steal to perhaps even have Quinn lay one down. I

I That might be a little unorthodox for some, but I wouldn't I wouldn't hate seeing what happens, especially with that I love that thought. So >> Taylor goes Taylor goes on the on the wild pitch. Okay. Go Quinn. Man, Wayman, I have reached the point where I truly wish I had gloves. My hands [laughter] are shaking. It is I can imagine what these pitchers are feeling right now. >> I I We We empathize with them for sure. Ooh. That one looked up. That looked up, too. >> That looked up. So, Bella, I can tell I can say with confidence that Bella has not got that call once today. That ball was up. Yep. Uh but, it's one to one, and I have a feeling that Don might be called as well. >> [laughter] >> Second

and third, tied 4-4. Oh, she bunt. Oh, she bunt. That's out. That's Foul ball. >> Foul ball. So, Wayman, I think coach Sasso may have heard me over here. >> He did. But, Uh unfortunately, now Ruby didn't run, though. Like, she she she watched the play instead of running or, you know, making a break for the plate. >> Unfortunately, now Quinn is down uh one and two. A suicide squeeze. So, I think that squeeze is off. That was probably a safety squeeze, Wayman, not a suicide squeeze. >> Safety squeeze. Ooh. Yeah. So, and that's why she wouldn't have run right away. She would have got down the line a little bit and waited for Quinn uh waited for the catcher to commit to first. >> Gotcha. Go Quinn. >> [cheering] >> It's your moment, Quinn.

Oh, Herder >> Foul ball. lays this one foul down the first baseline. Vince the mascot to go showing [laughter] off the skills from Colby. The old The old second baseman from Colby still making plays here. I think that's what he played. Uh Don't know if he had much of a bat, but I imagine he was a good fielder back in the day. >> [laughter] >> Herder takes the third strike. Bang. Unfortunately, that's another strikeout for Quinn. And now, that brings up Holly Cashin. All right, Holly. who grounded out to third and was hit by a pitch in the fourth. Let's go, Holly. Need a hit right here, kid. >> Two outs here, runners on second and third. We've been here before. >> We've been here before. We've left two stranded. Let's hope that we can

knock these runs in. Cashin, big swing, strike one. They fought all the way back to tie it. Scratched out a run. Runners on second and third, we just need a Ooh. Cashin swings again, down 0 and 2. Beckett looking to get out of a tough jam here in the bottom of the fifth with runners on second and third. She's up now 0 and 2 on Cashin. Cashin fouls one off, stays alive. Good cut there to to keep this at bat going. Really nice to see Holly just pop one right here over the second base. >> Yes, so much so much space in between the the infield and the outfielders. Love to see one dropped in here for a base hit. That'll score two. That'll score two. Unfortunately, she can't catch up to that one. And

Sophia Beckett gets her second strikeout of the inning. And the Clockers leave two stranded, but they are able to get one across on the RBI double by Ruby Kazanjian. And it is a four to four ballgame going in to the sixth inning. Uh again, one run off of two hits, a single by Kyra, and a double by Kazanjian, one error by the Warriors in that inning. Bella the Mastro go uh gets to face the 7-8-9 batters here to start the sixth inning. She has had a ton of luck against them right now. 7-8-9 are 0 for 6 on the day with five strikeouts. >> This is where you need to just go after each batter and and and not let them get on base. >> This is This is a great This is a great

opportunity for the Clockers to try to get this game back under control. Four Four to four, top of the sixth, going against three batters who have not got a hit yet today with their top of the order leading off in the bottom of the sixth. So, really important inning right now for Ashland. Need the Mastro go to settle in, throw strikes, and let her fielders field behind her, and get out of here with a with an early season victory. Uh this Wayland team, though, has been pretty impressive. Last year, the Clockers played Wayland um and the Clockers won pretty easily. I would have to say that Wayland is a much improved team because I am a firm believer that the Clockers are a much improved team as well. So, two teams that are on the

rise playing against each other, and what has been a really great matchup on a on a blustery cold day here in Ashland, Wayland. Yes. I mean, both teams have had, you know, timely hits. We've We've left definitely left more more more um um players on base. Um But, again, you know, we're hopefully we can get out of this top of the inning here. Bang bang bang, and then we can we can end our top of the lineup and get to work. >> Yeah, unfortunately, you're right. We We've left eight runners stranded today. Uh eight runners have been left on base. Timely hits have not necessarily been the calling card for the Clockers today. They've had some hits, but they haven't strung together too many. And the timely [clears throat] hits just haven't really taken place

today. Uh eight runners stranded is a is a tough one, uh especially for a young pitcher who has thrown really well uh and and held the Warriors to you know, only four runs on six hits. Uh Bella's trusting Wayman with the uh batter. Um Um looks like he's ready, and then the batter's to be in the box in a minute. Looks like it's going. Looks like this is Abigail Bergeron uh coming to the plate. Bergeron is the center center fielder. Oh, wait, maybe she's getting hit for. >> Oh, he's he's he's a pinch hitter. She is. Yep. >> Who's this number four? Number four is pinch hitting. Parker. So, what's What do we have here? Parker. Okay. E. Parker. Eliza Parker. >> Eliza Parker. Eliza Parker is pinch hitting for Abby Bergeron. I think Wayland's

trying to shake things up, too. So, Up. There's a meeting at the mound. Looks like the pitching coach is going out to talk to Bella. Falling behind 2-0 here uh against against the pinch hitter. Right. Uh again, we talked about the importance of these three batters here. Need to get out of this inning 1-2-3 if possible. Don't let them get to the top in this inning as we've got uh Ustaris leading off in the bottom of the sixth. So, if the if the Clockers are able to get out of this one and get their top of the order up going into the sixth inning, might be able to get some offense generated uh so we can close it out in the seventh, but we're going to go one step at a time here, Wayman. One

step at a time. And a ground ball to the second baseman, Lorelei Gillette, nice and easy. And Bella comes back, throws a nice pitch. 4-3 in the books. Nice play, Colette to Kazanjian. We've got one out in the top of the sixth for another pinch hitter here. Uh looks like this is Help me out here, Wayman. I can't really tell. This looks like it's number six, perhaps. It is another pinch hitter. Yep. Pinch hitting for Sophia Gorky. That's uh K. Moth. K. Moth. Number She's six? >> Number six. Number six. Ooh. So, she's also up 2 and 0 now. That looked like a good pitch. Let's go, Bella. Focus. Keep throwing strikes, kid. >> Bella fell behind 2 and 0 on the last batter as well. Ball three and 0 to the count. This is

where you just want to just put the ball. Don't let Let the batter hit. Couple of pinch hitters for the Warriors. Let's not give up on this. See if she can fight back here. I don't think she's swinging. Strike. She called Called ball four. So, that's a walk. Worked the walk. So, we are going to get to the top of the order here in the in the in the sixth no matter what, but we first got to Unless unless we can work a double play here. You never know. Maybe we can work a double play. Eliza Goldman, who has uh flied out to center field and struck out. She's fouled a ball here. Get it, Holly. Get it. Oh. Holly Cashin, solid effort here in right field. Not able to Not able to make the

play. Uh little bit of a little bit of a hill here uh that she had to deal with. Couldn't quite get under it. Didn't take a great couldn't quite admit I saw her coming and and then the ball kind of fell in front of her, so. >> Not sure how much outfield Cashion has played in her day, uh but Good good try. That's a little bit tough. Solid effort by Holly. Uh nonetheless, it's a long strike. Ball. One and one. One and one in the count here to Eliza Goldman, who's 0 for 2. But she's put her bat in the ball. Nice fly ball to to Eustace, who made a great play to make a catch in the fourth. Bella. Bella, let's go. Get it in there, Bella. Let's go. Two and one. Two and

one to Goldman. Again, top of the order is on deck here. Here are Hines. Love a double play here. >> [snorts] >> Good strike two. Go, Bella. Domestico looking for another strikeout here would really be nice. Get ready for a double play, too. If she puts the ball in play Ooh, foul ball. That's a hot shot foul. Yeah, if I remember correctly, Goldman fouled quite a few off in her last at bat as well. Fighter. She's up there taking hacks. Four to four, top six. Runner on first base. Good pitch. >> to be a ball three. Three and two. I think that was outside, Wayman. Uh We're not We're not going to get that call. So, three and two here to Eliza Goldman. Might get that one, though. Strike three looking. >> take it. Big

time pitch there by Bella Domestico. Two outs. First and third play First and second, let's go. Kiera Hines, who is 0 for 2 on the day with a walk, a strikeout, and a lineout to the first baseman, steps to the plate with a runner on first in the top of the sixth in a tie ballgame. She ground ball to Quinn Herder. No. Nice. >> Quinn Herder gets the gets the fielder's choice. >> only place you had. That the batter was running on first, he would have been safe if if if Quinn had gotten to first. >> the play six to four to get out of the inning. Force out at second. Good cover by Lorelei Collette. That was closer than I thought it was going to be. I think we actually may have been the

beneficiary of a call there, folks, but I'm going to take it. I will take it. I'm glad we don't have to look at an instant replay on that one. If Quinn had gotten to first, it would have been safe at first safe at second, so. No matter what, we're taking it. We're taking it. And we're going into the bottom of the sixth inning with a lineup. Four to four tie ballgame after a top of the sixth where there were no runs on no hits and one runner left on base, uh by the Wayland Warriors. I wonder if this is the last inning. Well, I you know, it's There's enough light right here that we could probably go a full seven. Cuz the uh outfield lights haven't come on. The field The lights on the turf

field have come on, but these lights have not come on. So, this is a huge inning regardless for the Clockers. With Nicole Eustace [clears throat] leading off, Eustace is 1 for 3 on the day with an infield single to short in the fourth. Uh she grounded out to the pitcher in the second and she struck out in the first. Great to see her lead off here and set the table for Ava Vendetti and the rest of that Clocker lineup. Let's see >> And he did a good right here, right? You got your top of the order Bottom of the sixth is what you want. And Eustace ground ball to third. She's hustling. She is out at first on a nice play. Again, that's Caitlyn DeJulia. She She's been probably the star of the day for

the Wayland Warriors so far today. Eustace grounds out five to three. Unfortunate start to the sixth inning as Vendetti steps to the plate looking for her first hit of the day. Uh Ava Vendetti fouls one off to go down 0-1. Nice if Ava can get on to give Bella Domestico a chance for an RBI. All right, goodbye. Ava takes a ball, one and one. Wind is picking up a little bit again. Becket has now thrown 114 pitches. Wow. So, she She's probably getting a little bit tired. AND HIT OH. TOUGH LITTLE It's going to be Found the glove. a Right to Right to second. Didn't get enough of it. Soft liner to the second baseman. Soft liner. Forget about it. Put it. Soft liner to the second baseman to cause the second out of the

inning, which brings up Bella Domestico, who is looking for her first hit of the day. Domestico has walked twice in flyout to right. Looking to help herself here, Domestico has pitched a heck of a game, but would like to see what she can get done at the plate right now in the bottom of the sixth. Bella. Almost takes out her catcher there on a hot shot foul ball to the right side. >> [snorts] >> She's down 0-2. Little high. Domestico takes another one, two and two. All right. Nice if she can fight back here. Gets down 0-2, fights back two and two. Really need to reach base here to keep this inning alive. Strike three. Gets past the catcher. She's going to reach on a dropped third strike. All right, Caroline. Maybe get a I

think there'll be a pinch runner for Bella here, too. Haley comes out. Yep. So, Haley Buterman in to run for Bella Domestico brings Caroline Kyra up to the plate. Kyra is 1 for 2 on the day. She has been on base three times, though. Uh had a single in the fifth, which led to a run, and she reached on an error in the third and was hit by a pitch in the first. Up in a big spot here with two outs in the top bottom of the sixth. Kyra big swing. Goes down 0-1 here. Wait for it. Kyra takes one outside. Good Good running by Haley. Takes the base. Good aggressive running. One and one. Now we got a runner in scoring position for Kyra, but nice if she can follow up with a double

here. Kyra takes two and one. Don't You want to be aggressive here, but you don't want to be over aggressive. That'd be a true pass. Don't swing at a bad pitch here. Caroline's a good hitter. All she needs to do is make some contact. And she hits a long fly ball over THE LEFT TO OH, UNFORTUNATELY, KYRA MAKES GOOD CONTACT. Makes good contact, does not find a gap. >> Center fielder makes a nice play. And that one is going to end the inning. Unfortunately, she just didn't get it far enough. A good piece of hitting, but right at that center fielder. Herder was well positioned, too. I mean, it was right there. She shifted over just a few steps and it was right under She got under it, so. >> Unfortunately, we get no runs

in that sixth inning with the top of the order up, uh which puts some pressure here on Bella Domestico It does. heading into the top of the seventh. So, no runs on no hits, and it's still four to four. A solid bid by Kyra there, who just flied out to the center fielder. And uh we We've got ourselves a ballgame here, Wayman, and I'm Again, runners left in scoring position. That's the ninth runner left on base by the Clockers today. >> That's a tough stat. They just have not had timely hits. Great. That's a tough stat. How many pitches is Bella at at this point? Is she in triple digits yet? So, so Bella uh Bella has thrown 112 pitches, 67 for strikes. She's faced 28 batters at this point. >> Okay. Um and she's

got two, three, and four coming up. And they have they have Mhm. had some solid contact against her. Uh Carmelowitz uh doubled to center field in the third, who is two who she is 1 for 3 on the day. Sophia Beckett has struggled against her counterpart in the circle. She's 0 for 3 today. And Kelsey Kaufman um is 2 for 3 today with a double, a single, and a groundout to third. So, they do have some hot bats coming up here. 2 3 4 coming up in the top of the 7th here in Ashland at 4 to 4. This thing is coming down to the end, and let's hopefully see if the Clockers can hang on. Quite a game. Changeup, strike one. Good pitch, strike. Nice pitch. Nice start. Nice start to the top of

the 7th for Domestico. Hot shot, foul ball. Right at the first base coach. Oh, two. Domestico gets ahead early against Carmela which would be nice to get her. She has put her bat in the ball twice. Bella does have some really good mechanics. I mean, she's still pitching the same like she's still pitching like this is the 6th inning, 7th inning? 7th inning. This is it. >> Yeah. This is it. Right now, go after this batter right here. Oh, just got a piece of it. Just got a piece of it. Yep, she held on and waited on that changeup. Domestico tried to fool her, but she hung on and fouled it off. Could be good good piece of hitting there. I shouldn't say it's a piece of hitting, but a good swing to stay alive

by Carmela Watts. Uh cuz that's a that's a tough pitch by Domestico. >> [screaming] >> And she gets her looking. And rings her up. A fantastic pitch. Another strikeout for Bella Domestico. Great way to start the the top of the 7th. Bella gets her looking. >> Now, she's going to face >> this is a dangerous hitter. Sophia Beckett who has struck out twice today. Beckett and Kaufman, right? Really want to see if you can get Beckett here to not have anybody on base for Kaufman. >> Great. Nice off-speed another off-speed pitch. Domestico has that off-speed pitch working right now. Look at the batter. Look at the batter. Looking fastball all the way. Good time now to throw that Perfect pitch. Perfect pitch. Don't know if you want to go two off-speed in a row. One

and one is the count. Domestico to Beckett. She toes and throws. Low, a little low. Just a little low. Not a bad spot though. I like that spot for Bella. She can just pick it up just an inch or so. Two and one, Sophia Beckett. That's a hot shot to Currier. Currier up, fires to Kazanjian. 6 to 3 in the bottom. Nice play. Quinn to Ruby for the out. Two outs in the top of the 7th. Bringing up to the plate Wayland's best hitter today, Kelsey Kaufman, who is two for three on the day. Like I said, that's a big play to not have anyone on base for her. Absolutely. Want to get Kaufman here because you do have Calabro and DeGiulia up after who have also hit the ball well today. So, this is

a big at bat for Bella who falls behind 1 and 0 to start. Two outs, top of the 7th, tie ball game. Number four hitter. Fouls one off, one and one. Bella's attacking. This is telling us a lot about this team, two women. Let's see what they can do, right? Young pitcher Yeah. in a tough spot right now, showing grit. Got to be proud of her performance. >> Oh, she's she's she's hunkering down and pulling from whatever down in the depths. Nice easy play to Colette. Nice play. 4 to 3 Got it. And now is the time >> That's it. Let's go. >> Now is the time for the Clockers to show us what they can do. One run. They have no runs here off of no hits, no errors, a clean inning for Bella.

Nobody reaches base. We're going into the bottom of the 7th. Tie ball game. This is the This is the kind of game that sets the tone for the rest of your season. What are you going to do? Tied 4 to 4 going to the bottom of the 7th with 5 6 7 coming to the plate and the chance to win one early and set the tone for the rest of the year on a really positive note. I agree. I agree, Mike. This is it. We got Mike Kotch over here. >> [laughter] >> Mike is Mike is one of our favorite members of the peanut gallery. >> [laughter] >> He's going to probably try to sit in there and do a game with us at some point as well. Mike Kotch, a former college baseball player.

Um so, he certainly knows the game. Uh unfortunately, he wasn't a great hitter when he played. Um so, they they didn't give him a lot of time at Bentley, but uh Mike Mike is a a wonderful fan for us here uh at Hunt Field. Of all the Kotches, he's probably my least favorite. >> [laughter] >> Um His His daughter, Taylor, is my favorite, and then April and his mom are are tied for second. >> So, so April and mom are tied for second. Mike is a distant fourth. Solid solid ranking right there. All right, Ruby Kazanjian is going to lead us off here, Wayman. What do you think? I mean, you know, get on base, right? So, she's been able to get on base today. So, let's let's uh let's get it going, Ruby. Let's

get it going. Ruby is one for two today. Actually, I'm sorry. Ruby is two for three today. Ruby is two for three with a single, a double, and a groundout. And Soft liner to first by Kazanjian to lead off the bottom of the 7th. Lorelei Colette comes to the plate. Lorelei is Good hit. Good hit. Good hit to center. Nice ground ball up the middle. Lorelei Colette gets on base. Good rip. All right, Lorelei Colette gets them going. Gets a base runner up. All right, here we go, Taylor. Taylor Kotch coming to the plate here. Kotch has two walks and a strikeout today, looking to reach base for the third time. >> Quinn on deck. Here's we want Lorelei to be aggressive on the base. If there's a pass ball, get to second. Kotch shows

bunt. Ooh, she's going. Safe. Colette steals. >> Safe. Okay, get a runner in scoring position here. Kotch takes a strike, but more importantly, we got a stolen base by Colette who's now in scoring position with Taylor Kotch up to plate down 0 and >> [screaming] >> in the bottom of the 7th. >> Drop one in. Let's go. Ooh. 0 2. Bat on ball. This is one of those tough pressure situations for Taylor here. 0 2, runner in scoring position. Just want to put your bat in the ball. Oh. Safe. She's safe. There was a dropped third strike. >> third strike. That's a dropped third strike. >> Drop the third strike. So, so we're going to have a conversation here. We have a dropped third strike. Kotch ran to first, was clearly safe. I don't think

the umpires knew what was going on. The base umpire never moved towards first. First base was not occupied. That's a dropped third strike. She That's Taylor should be awarded first. >> That is a dropped third strike, and she reached first base safely. >> Safe. That's really unfortunate. So, that's too bad. Runner now is on second. Quinn Herder is up to the plate with two outs. Unfortunately, they don't get them all right, and that one is a tough one to take. A coach Sasso has every right to be really upset about that. I think he caught Blue sleeping a little bit there. Uh first base was not occupied. >> Right. Dropped third strike. Heads-up play by Taylor to go to first. And unfortunately, now there are two outs. And Quinn is got a one and one

count with a runner on second. Big spot here for Quinn Herder. Good. Bases loaded. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. She [screaming] scores. WE GOT A WALK-OFF WIN FOR THE CLOCKERS. QUINN HERDER GETS HER HIT, and the Clockers take the win on a 5 to 4 walk-off hit by Quinn Herder in the bottom of the 7th. This game is over. QUINN HERDER WITH THE PLAY of the day. Bases a ground ball to the left side. She ends up the day with a huge RBI. Lorelei with a big turn at third. Running all the way from second. This is the kind of game that can set the tone for the rest of the season. Congratulations to the Clockers who are And two and one in the season, huge

hit by Quinn Herder. Wayman, while we wrap this up, um let's chat a little bit about Bella Domestico. Oh, what an incredible incredible performance today. >> What a fantastic performance by Bella uh to end the day. Bella Bella only allowed uh two four six hits on the day, four runs, uh and you know, not not all of them are earned, only three earned runs, but most importantly, 11 strikeouts for the freshman. 11 strikeouts for the freshman, and even more impressive than 11 strikeouts is the fact that 1 2 3 4 5 >> Looking. 6 7 8 9 10 of the 11 strikeouts caught the Warriors looking, which means she was dealing today. She had She had them off She had them off balance. They didn't know what was coming, and so she um kudos to

her. Kudos to her is right, and a really solid performance overall by Bella Domestico at the at the on in the circle. Let's talk about some quick stats. Nico Eustace is one for four on the day. Uh Ava Vendetti uh and Bella, unfortunately, are both hitless. Caroline Kyrou one for three. Ruby Kazarian two for four with an RBI. And Lorelei Colletti two for four with an RBI. A huge hit in the bottom of the seventh and scores the game-winning run. Taylor Cotch over two. Quinn Herder one for four on the day, but the most important hit of the game, the walk-off single to end it as she knocks in Colletti who scores from second, and Harley Cashin was over two. On the day, the Clockers had seven hits for their five runs. They did strike

out nine times. They're going to certainly want to take a look at that. What would be great is if we can potentially uh get one of our players to come over here and give us a a quick chat. We'd love to see if we can talk to Bella uh a little bit about her performance, but I think Coach Sasso is going to have them, so I'm not sure if we'll have the time to do that. Uh Wayman, it's been a joy doing this with you. >> This was amazing, Mike. Lot of fun. >> Incredible. We caught a We certainly caught a great one. I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule. >> This was much fun, so much fun. Glad you And and and and these players, I mean, I think they're

Hopefully, this is something to build on. And um yeah, I mean, looking forward to a great season with these girls, and so um Yeah, I More More of the same. I've been saying it for a couple of years now, the future is really bright for this program. They've They've They have been able to take advantage of a new coach who's got tremendous energy and positivity. What What I see from him is positive energy, which has really been a great change for for this team, and you can feel it. You can feel a change in the dynamic of this ball club and the change in the aura. This is the kind of game in the last 2 years they probably aren't able to hold on. I I think they had only one error today, which which

is a fantastic defensive performance, great pitching by the freshman. So, you know, obviously, a really timely hit there by Quinn Herder to to come back after a tough day. So, I I'm just I'm really proud of these girls, and they should be proud of themselves, and I think the future's going to be bright. No, absolutely. So, you know, kudos to to Coach Larry Sasso, uh assistant coach uh Pam Curtis, and he has three positional coaches to help out. Sabrina Livingston is the pitching coach. Cassandra Register outfield coach. Taylor Costa hitting coach. So, again, Yeah, those three Those three young coaches uh the pitching coaches, they are here to support coach. They played for him at Anna Maria. So, coach comes to us with a college college coaching background, right? He brings that that energy and

enthusiasm to the club, and that certainly has been a benefit. >> today, for sure. So, I I I I don't know if we're going to have time to grab anybody, which is unfortunate cuz we would have loved to have done that, but I think it's time for us to sign off. Uh thanks to our sponsors, Marathon Deli, as always. They didn't provide us with any food, but maybe next time they'll get us something.
