001Hello clockers. My name's Holly Silver with WACA. Today I'll be bringing you a brief [music] summary of the Ashlin Town Manager newsletter. Starting off, WACA TV covered the Super Bowl sendoff for the Patriots. The Patriots departed for the Super Bowl Sunday morning and a thousands thousands on thousands of fans gathered at Gillette Stadium for a sendoff rally. It was freezing cold, but you know, Patriots fans still showed out to show their support. The event [music] featured some appearances by Patriots cheerleaders, former players, and even a live performance by the Dropkick Murphy's. [music] Team owner Robert Craft and head coach Mike Rael addressed the crowd [music] and thanked fans for their support during the team's first season under the new program. Several team captains, including our quarterback, Drake May, spoke briefly and acknowledged the fans role

002in the Patriots [music] Super Bowl run. After the rally, the team boarded buses to TF Green Airport and departed for California. Patriots [music] will face the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 60 on Sunday, February 8th at 6:30 p.m. at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara. The DPW team is [music] recognized for their snow removal efforts. Ashlin officials and residents who showed their support on social media are [music] thanking the DPW team for their hard work clearing snow throughout the week. Also, the Ashlin Food [music] Pantry is temporarily relocating. The Ashlin Food Pantry will be closed February [music] 4th and 5th and will be reopening on February 9th at the Police Substation in the Market Basket Plaza [music] on Pawn Street. Curbside appointments will resume during normal hours. Unused prescription and drug dropbox available. The Ashlin [music]

003Police Department reminds residents that unused and expired medication can be safely dropped off at the public safety building on Union Street. Sharp's disposal is available at Town [music] Hall and the community center. Love Local Ashland supports small businesses. [music] Love Local Ashland, which was formerly known as Ashland Bisbuzz, promotes local businesses, events, and deals. [music] So, make sure that you check out their Facebook and Instagram page. Again, that is called Love Local Ashland. [music] Nomination papers are available for multiple [music] town offices ahead of May 19th, 2026 annual town election. Papers must [music] be returned by March 31st at 5:00 p.m. This week's [music] community shoutout goes to Lawrence De Jong. Ashlin is honoring Lawrence [music] De Jong for more than 20 years of volunteer service at the Ashlin Public Library. Lawrence led the [music]

004library's art exhibition program and supported countless artists and helping shape the library's cultural presence. After volunteering [music] over thousands of hours, Djang recently retired. To recognize his service, the friends [music] and trustees of the library invited him to select a commemorative artwork. He chose the oil painting late by artist Lewis Rulli. For upcoming meetings, we have the select [music] board meeting on Wednesday, February 4th at 700 p.m., which can be attended in person or online. Also, select board office hours have been [music] announced for February 7th, 9 to 11:00 a.m. at the library and February 18th, 3 to 5:00 p.m. at Doulce Dece. The Raise a Glass [music] for Mel fundraiser is coming up on February 7th and 8th. This will be held at Clover Road Brewing [music] and it will feature raffles, food trucks,

005and live music. And you will not want to miss this event in support of Ashland's own Mel. Also, the Ashlin Public Library is having [music] their book sale on February 7th from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. And it will include a Valentine's Blind date [music] with a book. Lastly, coming up for Ashlin Public Library programs, for adult events, we have Ma Jang on February 4th and Paint Night on [music] February 5th. For children's events, we have ABC Adventures February 6th, STEM Club Ice Cream Edition [music] February 7th, and Coding Class for Kids February 7th. That is it for me today.
