Hello clockers. My name is Hi Silver with WACA. Today I will be bringing you a brief summary of the Ashentown managers newsletter. And I would like to say that it is [music] good to be back. To start off, I would also like to say go Patriots and also talk about some community highlights. Starting off super exciting. The Ashland Community Theater is putting on the show My Three Angels. Ashlin Community Theater is presenting My Three Angels at Marone Theater at the Ashlin [music] BFW. There will be performances running from January 15th all the way through the 17th at 7:30 p.m. with a matinea on January 18th at 3 p.m. If you would like to know what a matinea means, don't ask me because I just read that word and I have no clue what it is,
but I'm sure it's great. [laughter] Um, the comedic play is set in French Gana and it follows three convicts and they unexpectedly help a struggling family during Christmas. They end up redeeming themselves as unlikely heroes. The story later inspired the 1955 film We Are No Angels starring Humphrey Bogart. And I have heard that name before. I can say that. There are tickets available at ashling community theater.com. And trust me, you will not want to miss this. And I'm going to look up what a matinea is. The housing production plan, the community forum. The town of Ashlin will host a housing production plan public forum on Tuesday, January 20th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ashlin Community Center, 162 West Union Street. There will be consultants from JM Goldson and they will present updates and
lead an interactive discussion on Ashland's housing goals. This plan will build on the town's new comprehensive plan and it will outline strategies to address future housing needs. Uh there will be a survey and it will be available for residents who are unable to attend. Decisions at every turn, DAE. Ashland's decision at every turn coalition will meet on January 21st from 5 to 6 p.m. via video call. DAET is a community-based coalition focused on youth prevention and wellness working to reduce substance use and also promote healthy choices among Ashland's youth. Also coming up, there will be a free flu shot clinic. A free flu shot clinic will be held on Wednesday, January 14th from 2 to 12 to 5:00 p.m. at Ashlin Town Hall, 101 Main Street. This clinic is located in the lower level of
Town Hall and is available to uninsured residents or individuals with Mass Health. These vaccines are provided at no cost through state programs. So, please do not forget to get your flu shot. Supporting the senior center meal program. The Ashland Senior Center is continuing its monthly meal program. It will provide nutritious and affordable meals to local seniors. While meals cost $9 to 12 to prepare, seniors will only pay $8 thanks to your precious and very wellappreciated community donations. Residents who are interested in supporting the program can contact Candace Wilson at the senior center for more info. The Clocktown Memory Cafe. The Clocktown Memory Cafe is beginning January 27th and will take place every 4th Tuesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Ashland Senior Center. The cafe offers a welcoming environment with live entertainment for individuals
living with Alzheimer's, dementia, any sort of cognitive impairment, and this will also be open to their caregivers, family members, andor friends. That is it for me today. Thank you all for tuning in, and thank you to our town staff for putting together this newsletter. I'm Hi Silver with WACA, wishing you a wonderful night, and as always, go clockers. >> [music]
