001Hi [music] everybody. Welcome back and thank you for joining us for episode 63 of TechSafe. [music] I want to give a big shout out to our friends at WCCA TV in Worcester, Massachusetts who hosted us for the first 62 episodes. And today we are coming to you from WACA TV here in Ashlin, Massachusetts, which is my hometown. We will be providing this recording out to our friends in Worcester so that they too can send it out into their community. And for anybody else who would like to air this in their own community, we welcome you to contact us at Massachusetts4safe technology. That's mathemat.org. and we would gladly provide you with the links to share this in your own community. So, my name is CC Ducet. I'm the director of Massachusetts for Safe Technology as well
002as the education services director for the online course safer screen time. And we are airing this in my community of Ashlin, Massachusetts for the first time. So, I want to give just a moment to talk about how I fell down the rabbit hole with the wireless issue. I used to run the Ashland Education Foundation for eight years at the time when the wireless industry was bringing in the 21st century classroom and our little budget here in our hometown didn't have the kind of funding needed to get wireless infrastructure, iPads, Chromebooks, smartboards, minis, what we were being told we would need to successfully train our kids to go out into the world. And then so I ran campaigns year after year and helped to get all that equipment into my schools. And then one night at
003book group, a friend and neighbor here who's an engineer tipped us off that there are biological effects to today's wireless technology. And I hold a master's degree in technical and professional writing. So it left me curious, is there any science behind the claim that wireless is actually harmful? So, I started looking and folks, I didn't have to look far to find literally thousands of peer-reviewed studies from all over the world showing that when we stopped using Ethernet cables to our devices, how's the magic happening? Well, we are sending our signals now through the air using radio frequency microwave radiation. And these studies from around the world are now linking this spiked erratic pulse of microwaves that's coming at us all the time to anxiety to depression to suicidal ideiation. It is a neurotoxin. It causes
004insomnia. We have other studies showing cancer, infertility, anger, and so much more. And that's just us. It's also impacting the birds, the bees, and the trees. So that's the bad news. The good news is that the science gets stronger every day. With great thanks to Dr. Joel Moscowitz at the University of California, Berkeley and their department of public health. Dr. Moscowitz every month puts out a listing of current science. And for those who've never heard of this science, I'm just going to run through a half a dozen of the recent studies just from October. Review of the evidence on the influence of Wi-Fi 2.4 4 gigahertz radiation on oxidative stress and its possible relationship to Alzheimer's disease. Here's another microwave and radio frequency exposure induced molecular and genetic alterations. The science is telling us this
005is damaging our DNA. Here's another one. Experience of Polish physicians on electromagnetic hypersensitivity. That's an illness that's also called EMR syndrome or electromagnetic radiation syndrome where people begin to experience these symptoms because they are in a heavy electropolution environment. Here's another one. Is cell phone carrying below the waist contributing to the rapid rise in early onset colarctal cancer? Here's another one. the causal relationship, not just correlation, but causal relationship between the duration of mobile phone use and risk of stroke. Here's one on mobile phone usage, duration, and male fertility. So, the science just goes on and on. The difficulty that we have is that mainstream media messaging is largely controlled by the telecom industry because we hear all about the benefits of convenience from all the telecom companies that are advertising but they withhold the
006facts on the science that is cautioning us to be careful with this technology. So I am so very grateful that we have another expert with us here today Dr. Donna D Santo Aught from Pennsylvania. And Donna is an experienced pediatric physical therapist and certified functional medicine health coach based out of Philadelphia and Reading, Pennsylvania. She has a strong interest in environmental medicine and is the founder of Pennians for Safe Technology, which like Massachusetts for Safe Technology is an education and advocacy resource for Pennian Families. So, Donna, thank you so much for giving us your time today. It's delightful to have you with us. >> Oh, thank you for having me, Cece. I always enjoy being with you. Yeah. And we have done several programs together over the years. Um, but why don't you tell us
007how you came to know that wireless radiation was something that is now a public health hazard. >> I think first from Dr. Martha Herbert. I used to listen to her and follow her work. So, I knew early on that this was a problem for children who had autism, but I had no idea that this affected the rest of us. It wasn't until I was at the Cleveland Clinic for a doctor's appointment for myself that the doctor really made me aware of that. But I think that what encouraged me to really get involved was showing up for an appointment with a child on a playground, which is usually lots of fun. >> Got there and there was this giant cell tower, like I'm not joking, like at the base of the slide. It was like 20,
00830 feet off the slide. [laughter] The grandmother and I looked at each other and were like, "We're not going to do this here." >> Oh my. >> And It was unbelievable. I thought, who would just And later I talked to the playground staff and the parents in the area didn't want to use the playground. It >> Oh, that is just heartbreaking. But thank you for bringing up Dr. Martha Herbert. She is or she's now retired, but she was a Harvard pediatric neurologist and she founded the autism lab here at Massachusetts General Hospital. and she sees huge connections between the families in her care and what we know happens with exposure to man-made radio frequency radiation. So what we want to talk about for today is something that's very timely here in Massachusetts and those are
009these utility smart meters that are being forced onto our homes right now. It started out in Worcester, Massachusetts, where National Grid had done a pilot program on their smart grid with no informed consent. They started putting these transmitting radio frequency electric meters on people's homes and there are certain members of the population that get very sick from this man-made pulsation of microwaves. So, National Grid had offered a feebased opt out from having one of these smart meters imposed on your home. But that's kind of like extortion because if you become ill from this man-made pulsation of radiation, you lose your job because you can't get out and access society. And then to turn around and charge you a fee just to access your public utilities is unconscionable. So, we wanted to talk to Donna because
010there has been a lot of activity around smart meters in Pennsylvania. So, can you give us a bit of background on what you guys have been doing there for many years? >> Yeah, some people longer than I have. I think some people have been on this for 10 years or more. Um, but I became aware of this in around 2017 2018 when my own doctor advised me to not have a smart meter. It was an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic. So, I took it very seriously and I was shocked. He said, "What's a smart meter?" No idea. And uh, now I know quite a bit about smart meters. It's uh, they're mandatory in Pennsylvania and there are many people who have gotten very very ill. And I would completely agree with you that um to
011have an analog meter should be done at no cost because of the impoverishment that results. People cannot work. Um the people who get you know very ill and are disabled and there are many and as they're not helped year after year they're getting worse. Like now we're starting to hear that these people are neurologically impaired because they've gotten no help. And uh >> yeah, and the impacts are cumulative. As with any toxin, >> the longer you expose yourself to that increasing dose, the greater the likelihood that somebody's going to hit that tipping point. And once you've already suffered from electromagnetic radiation syndrome, it can be so challenging to try and create safe spaces even just in your own home. So, Donna, what um what has that journey been like with your public utilities commission there?
012>> It's been very, very difficult and I it really surprised me as a physical therapist because I was used to advocating for people with disabilities and I typically would find that people were very happy to try to help. Sometimes we'd have to work hard at getting the money for something, but there was a lot of kindness and compassion on those who were affected by different medical conditions or disabilities. And this was um no one has been helped at all. We have people at risk of death and they're not being helped um very disabled. People have been forced out of their homes. It's um and the utilities and the public commission claim that there's no harm. But yet, you know, we see that there's plenty of research, you know, in the textbook we were talking about
013earlier, electromagnetic fields of wireless communications, biological and health effects. >> Oh, there you go. >> Yeah, that's the first medical school textbook from Dr. Panagopoulos um in Greece. And then he pulled in scientists and doctors from all over the world to contribute chapters to that. So we have everything we need when somebody says, "Oh, there's no science." We can just whip that out and show them clear evidence of harm. >> Absolutely. And I think the point needs to be made that for people who deny that electro um hypersensitivity or EMR syndrome as the new term is um which is a much much better term. The chapter on that is 70 pages long and 20 of them are references. There are almost I think there were roughly 500 references in that chapter. >> So you can't
014say this doesn't exist. The title I think is just so perfect. A worldwide man-made electromagnetic pathology a review of the medical evidence. >> It's all around the world. the summer I did a deep dive and looked at, you know, all the research that I could find and I was shocked how many papers from so many different countries. >> People can't be complaining about the same thing in every country. >> Yeah, it is. It's global. And you know, here at the station, I see that our producer has put up 5G on the backsplash here and the cell towers. This is happening all over the world. And now we've got the satellites up above. So, there's a lot of really good initiatives to try and get ahead of this. The Federal Communications Commission is supposed to be
015protecting us. They had opened up a docket for people to put testimonies into the public record and there were 11,000 pages of evidence of harm, studies, testimonies, and the FCC completely ignored it. So, they've now been sued for ignoring all that evidence. And the courts, the uh DC Circuit Court of Appeals found them guilty and said, "You need to do better. You need to protect children. You need to protect the elderly whose uh cognitive abilities naturally begin a slow decline." This is accelerating that. And we're now seeing Alzheimer's coming on at at earlier and earlier ages. And it's now been four years since the FCC was found guilty and was told by the courts to bring public policy in line with the science, but the courts did not give them a deadline. And so now
016it's been a full four plus years. So there's a lot happening at the uh court level. There are lawsuits going on all over the country right now. And there are also important actions taking place at the state level. So back in 2012, um the caregiver for a senator's children, her husband was one of the gentlemen who would go up on the rooftops where the exposures were really high from cell antennas and he got very sick. So, she taught this senator what wireless radiation was and how toxic these utility smart meters are because we can choose with our cell phone or our wearables. We can choose to put all those in airplane mode which turns off the separate antennas that are mounted throughout our devices. But when you put something like a smart meter on a
017home, you lose your choice and you lose your ability to control the exposures to yourself and your loved ones and your pets. So this senator in Vermont went over to the industry and said, "Here's what we're going to do." And they passed a no fee opt out in Vermont in 2012. And now we've had bills here in Massachusetts since 2015, a full decade. And we're very grateful to Senator Michael Moore who has been chaperoning a bill through the Senate that is Senate Bill 2306. And this session for the first time they put an emergency preamble on it which says the deferred operation of this act would tend to defeat its purpose which is to maintain public health. Therefore, it is hereby declared to be an emergency law necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
018health. And we're so very grateful to the legislators, Senator Michael Moore, who sponsored the bill, and co-sponsors Ryan Fatman, Estella Reyes, Patrick O' Conor, Mark Montiggney, John Gy, and Joan Cmerford. And then over in the House, Rep. Estella Reyes introduced a sister bill with identical language including that emergency preamble and we want to give a shout out to James Arena De Rosa, Dennis Gallagher and John Gasky for also co-sponsoring that bill. So these bills are due to be reported out by both the House and the Senate on December 3rd, 2025. >> I think that is wonderful. What was the bill number? Senate Bill and House Bill 3551. And we'll see in our show notes if we can include some links to that. That would be wonderful. I think that is a very important thing to
019have an emergency preamble because what we're seeing is we have people at risk of death >> and as they're getting to the end of this roll out that's where this is so critical because the sickest people the most disabled people are about to get these meters and this just we're going to have a bad outcome if we don't do something >> and the thing is >> an emergency preamble like house bill um um it was 1112 and then we Senate Bill 600 that we really I think that would be an excellent addition and I hope to consider that because it is an emergency when you've got people who are at risk of death. >> You can't get these meters off and they're getting worse. They're having trouble walking. They're having trouble getting in and out
020of cars. >> I'm talking to these people periodically checking in with them and the decline is absolutely heartbreaking. I mean, it's preventable and you've got these layers before you were talking about, you know, the 5G coming in and you've got the smart meters and you've got personal devices. So, every time people go to the store, they're hit with so much. They need to come home to their house and be safe in their own house. >> That's right. We need a Yeah, we need a sanctuary. And it's critically important, especially during the sleeping hours, to have a radiation-free environment because every one of our organs through our 24-hour circadian rhythm, every one of our organs does a reset at different times during that 24-hour period. And if we are sitting there pulsating ourselves with microwave radio
021frequency, our immune system only has so much energy to work with. And it's pretty well calibrated to get us through our natural cycles of the day and night. When we have this constant pulsation of microwaves, it's really taxing our system and taking that energy to try and fight that off. And then we're not left with enough energy to do the proper cell repair and recovery during sleep. And so then people say, "Oh, I feel fine. I use my cell phone all the time. like, you know, but then another exposure comes along or your body gets weakened from something else and then we hit that tipping point and we can't sleep. We can't think straight. We have pain from unidentified sources. We might not be able to walk or talk properly. So, it does all sorts
022of things to the brain and the heart, you know, palpitations, arrhythmias. So, we're very grateful to Senator Moore and Representative Reyes here in Massachusetts and to your legislators in Pennsylvania, but we've got to get these bills passed because what happens is if enough citizens don't speak up, they're busy with many, many other bills that they've got to get through during their session. And so, their attention will naturally go to where the public is actually saying, "Hey, this is important." So, it's our job as citizens to empower our legislators to act on our behalf because if we don't speak up, nothing happens. So, please join us at Massachusetts for safe technology. Go out to Pennians for safe technology and we have information out there. Um, I also want to mention that I do a free public
023education webinar every month and it's there for anybody in the world who speaks English. We have people in all over the US. We have Canadians. We have Europeans that just come and learn so that when you open this tech safety conversation with somebody, there's a safe, credible place. It took me years to piece all this together, but in two hours, we can connect the dots for you from the science, from the medical recommendations, and most importantly, what can we do to stay connected but also protected? So, Donna, I have with me, you know, my my little show and tell stuff, and I think you've probably got a table full of >> Oh, I do. And I I think it's important before we get into that, just if I could just quickly say that it's not
024just a matter of the meter transmitting the same level all day. What we're finding is what you were talking about sleep being so important in the middle of the night when people really need to be sleeping. That's when these transmissions seem to really go up and a lot of people can't sleep, you know, they've been hit all day. So, their melatonin is low and they're they're not able to get into that deep sleep or or even stay asleep in some cases. But, um, in one of the engineering reports, actually there were two, they were both in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court documents for Pennsylvania, the isotrope report and Eric Anderson's report. These are professional engineers and they found that there are three primary exposures from digital smart meters. Um, one is that pulsing that you get
025with the 900 megahertz. Um, with one meter it's up to 190,000 times a day, which is a lot. And then if you consider that most of these are meshes now, and you just take the four people surrounding you, that's nearly a million times a day. That's a lot on >> Yeah, it's it's too much for our bodies to do on an on an unending basis. >> Is it's never off. There's it's not like you can put your air your phone in airplane mode. You cannot put your smart meter in airplane mode. Um and then in addition to those basic transmissions, these antennas RF emissions also conduct over the home electrical wiring transforming the entire house into a repeater antenna. So that is important for people to know. And then also the lower frequency kilhertz frequencies
026that come out of the switch mode power supply which is very different than your household appliances. This is at the beginning of your electric supply. There is not um the filter in that that's required to be in all your household appliances and little gadgets that you have. So these are going throughout the house and those frequencies are known to disrupt nerve and muscle function by in the ITE research and other research. So that's really important for people to know. >> Yeah. And you like you said it turn it basically turns the whole house into a giant antenna, right? And if things are not grounded properly, there are also fire hazard risks. And we've seen some sneaky behavior from the utility companies when that happens. You know, if you're if this smart meter blows and it's
027not properly grounded, it's going to shoot bad energy right into your home and the wires of your home and you're going to have this fire going. And it's not like the fire department can come come down and just hose it down. When you have an electrical fire, if you put water on that, it's gonna arc and it's going to fry the firefighter who is holding that hose. So, if you have a smart meter fire, and there are many reported around the country, you have to have your fire department contact the Department of Public Utilities and get into their systems to shut down the power to that home. And that can take up to an hour. So, now you've got this fire raging. And if you happen to have a windy day, that fire is going
028to pick up and blow over to your neighbor's house, too. So, these smart meters on so many levels are very bad. Then there's the whole data security and privacy. Anytime we use wireless, we are buckshotting our data out into the open air, right? And anybody with a $100 app at the curb can hack that data and see the patterns in your home. Oh, look. These guys are all gone by nine o'clock in the morning. We can back up our truck and steal their toys. Right? So, there are so many different layers to why smart meters should not have been imposed upon us from the federal level and then rolled out at the state level. So, with our own personal devices, as Donna said, on the back of your router, you can just plug in an
029Ethernet cable and then just buy the little 20 or $30 dongle and connect to it. And then you connect the other end right up to your device. Then you just go in and you go into your settings and you turn off the cellular antenna, the data, the Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi, the locator, the hotspot, the 5G because these phones now have a whole bunch of different antennas that constantly radiate us unless we know to just go click a couple buttons and turn them off. But when we get to smart meters, we don't have that choice. But Chattanooga, Tennessee has set a really good example for the country because they have actually hardwired the utility meters to the home. And that just means you run fiber optic cable right to the premises and connect your utility meters
030for gas, water, electric to that. And then you don't have to have radio frequency signals. and anything run through a wire is far more reliable, um much faster, much gentler on the planet as far as sustainability and energy consumption goes. So, we kind of got sold a bill of goods from the um energy and the wireless industries on these smart meters because there's nothing smart about them. All it does is save our towns a little bit of money from having to pay the walkers to come out and physically take a reading, but it is not worth the expense of our health, our privacy, and our security. So um so there are solutions at the municipal level and with great thanks to friends at the National Institute for Science, Law and Public Policy, there's a policy
031book called Reinventing Wires: The Future of Landmines and Networks. It's laid out right here what we need to do to have safe, reliable, modern, and fast technology in our communities. And the answer is not wireless for primary connectivity. So Donna, I know you have worked really hard at the personal level to try and come up with solutions to protect yourself and your clients from these man-made frequencies. What are some of the um mitigation strategies that you found to be successful with regard to these utility smart meters? Um well I think first it's least expensive and easiest would be to consider using Aegis Guard and there are different formulations of it. It's this is a company that um is run by engineers. It's mo they mostly work with uh the government not the government um the
032military and hospitals and consumers can buy some of their products that go up to one tetraz. They have ones that are up to like 4.4 for tetra herz that are for the military and the hospitals. So these are very high level professional engineers who developed this under a NASA grant. But for someone who's affected, you can wash this into your clothes. It's not a detergent. It has to go in in the rinse cycle and it will stay in. So you can put this on your comforter or your blankets, your sheets, your clothing, sweatshirts. um depending on how affected you are, you know, different people use it different ways. Most people don't have any kind of reaction to it. It's designed to be used by people with chemical sensitivity. I know of one person who did
033have a problem. So, you know, go slow. >> Yeah. We're all very different biologically, right? >> So, what works great for one person may just turn another person around. So, >> although overall like the company really has not had problems with this. >> Yeah. >> And I'm on the phone with them quite a bit. This has really helped me and and other people as well. Um the other solutions are more expensive. Um this is a smart meter cover that a lot of us use. It's designed by an engineer and it has RF absorber on the inside and that is really important because it helps absorb that radiation rather than reflect it because you don't want it reflected back in the house. So that part is very helpful and there's a little hole and this the
034utility gets the signal >> and it magnet so it's not going to interfere with >> so it shields like 95% of the signal but just enough to get out when they do their driveby or when their wireless infrastructure is picking it up. >> That's amazing. They should all be made this way. >> They should and no we shouldn't even need them. Yeah. >> Because it's just not and nobody's bills are going down. Our bills are going up. And that's one of the problems that when you have all these extra frequencies riding on your wiring that I'm being told can interfere with develing. So that's something that really needs to be looked into. And all of this is so expensive. Like this is stuff that we waited a long time to purchase because it is so
035expensive and as you know I got worse and worse we bought it. But this is what's called a DNA filter that >> can a little more toward the center of the screen. Yeah. >> Get them in a pair and you plug them in. You have to have an electrician wire this into your panel and then you plug it into the little outlet by the panel. But that helps with those frequencies that ride on your wiring. Um, a lot of people in Pennsylvania have these and it's not right because they're so expensive and I think >> Can I ask how much you paid for those? >> Over $2,000. >> A lot of money. But if you are really sick and having trouble walking, what are you going to do? >> You got to get rid of
036the frequencies. >> Wow. >> Yeah. I mean, it was really shocking to me how much better I got after we bought that. Excellent. Excellent. >> And neuropathy and is reversed. Um different people have different problems that they get it for, but it's um we're lucky we have it that and I think it would be a good thing to be able to work to be able to get I mean ideally Taby's meters removed >> right >> first and foremost and that's not possible. And now there's also all um frequencies coming in from the grid from people's solar that's not filtered properly. So more and more people are going to need this. So I think health insurance needs to look at this. Um >> Right. Yeah. I was thinking about durable medical equipment because I have a
037daughter with type 1 diabetes and her a lot of her equipment to manage that chronic illness is covered by insurance. And so for people who develop EMR syndrome, they should likewise have access through insurance to these mitigation tools. >> Yeah. Well, we're a long way from there. Um, >> a very different situation. And I find when we get people who are really stuck, you know, we try to, you know, just among ourselves, people will try to share and, you know, try to chip in and at least like help with Aegis card, you know, to get some things. People have made tents out of sheets. One lady made a tent out of it. But some of these people, the people who are the most severely affected tend to live near a cell tower in addition to
038the smart meter. Not all of them. We've had people who are very sick or nowhere near a cell tower, but the people who are, you know, within 300 feet of a cell tower, >> it's so bad. I know we have a lawsuit here in Massachusetts in Pittsfield where Verizon put a cell tower illegal up on top of a neighborhood and for the first time in the United States, a Department of Public Health for the town actually did the investigation and they put an emergency order out asking Verizon to come to the table to see if they can come up with a solution because they put this right on top of a neighborhood and there was a commercial property owner in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who said, "Hey, I have property over here that would still allow signal,
039but it wouldn't be anywhere near where people are living or going to school or worshiping or, you know, going to medical appointments. Why doesn't Verizon just move it over here?" But Verizon wouldn't do it. And so now there's a lawsuit that the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court has agreed to take on and we hope to see that go to court in the next month or so. But people have no idea what is causing them to get so sick and they're right under these non-stop microwave radiation transmissions. And so we were the first in the United States to have a board of health look at this. And you know, it shouldn't have to come down to a town by town determination. We should have protections at the federal level, but our federal agencies, as a Harvard report
040documented, they actually called a report captured agency, how the Federal Communications Commission is dominated by the industries it presumably regulates. So there is no cavalry coming. There's a lot of good things happening in the courts and like we have in public policy at our legislatures, but it's not happening fast enough. So, we need to get the public informed. Talk to your towns. Um, we have materials on our websites that will help you to have these conversations or bring us in. We will join you on a Zoom or in person if we're local. We just want to help you get word out to protect yourself and your loved ones. it. It's so important and I think so many people believe that this isn't hurting them and I mean I was one of them. I had no
041idea. I mean I did my whole doctorate with my laptop on my lap connected to Wi-Fi. I had no problem with it. We had, you know, the typical stuff in the center of the house in the kitchen because we wanted to see what the kids were doing on the computer. We had no idea, you know, until I learned how do you know? And a lot of the people that we see who get who develop EMR syndrome are professional women who've used their devices a lot. They were not phobic of their devices. In some cases they were using four laptops at once different projects and we've had lawyers, we had doctors, all different walks of life. Um but a lot of professional women who use their devices and we didn't start using our devices until we
042were relatively old. >> Yeah. Yeah. So that's such a good point. >> Such a good point, Donna, because when you and I were growing up, we didn't have any of this. So our DNA got to develop properly. The science is now showing this is damaging DNA. >> Absolutely [clears throat] is still developing. So this isn't something to wait and see. This is a holy crow moment for every parent out there that we have got to intercede and get in there and start having these meaningful conversations because seriously it's not rocket science to fix it in your own home. There are mitigation strategies and I do a free public education webinar every month. This month on the 29th of October, Ken Gartner, who's a career engineer, he graduated from MIT, so he's we would say here,
043wicked smart. Um, so Ken and I are going to do a two-hour webinar on the 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Eastern and talk about these smart meters because he and his sweetheart built their dream home. And when that smart meter went in, Sonia's health just crashed and she is now disabled to the point where she cannot get out in society. So, she's pretty much a shut in. And God bless Ken because he's there for her and he takes very good care with her. um and they're doing all the other right things. They're growing their own organic food, but you may hit that tipping point and there may be a point of no return. So, it's not child's play. So, I hope people will come if you go to Massachusetts for safe technology to my
044events page at mathe44setech.orgvents. Just register. If the date and time don't work for you, just register. I will send you out the recording and our slides so that you can do the deep dive into the science and stuff. Don't take our word on any of this, but it's high time the public be notified that there is something very wrong with wireless and we know what to do about it. >> So important. I mean, even when I was injured, I was on an incredible program from, you know, the top functional medicine center in the world >> and it happened to me. I would have never imagined, you know, what I cannot do now. Like I'm lucky that I'm very blessed that I have churches that I can go to where people turn their phones off and
045the pastors have worked to accommodate me uh with my disability. But generally speaking, like there lots of things that people take for granted that they may find themselves one day not able to go to a baseball game or an Eagles game or whatever sport team they like. um the symphony like anywhere where you're sitting in the middle of a crowd surrounded by people with wireless devices >> there and I hope that we can educate people and they can start making changes before more and more people end up with this condition because textbook tells us. >> Yeah. Right. And one of the um most important findings in the scientific literature is that this causes oxidative stress. >> And I'm not a healthcare p practitioner, so I had to go figure that one out. Dr. Cindy Russell
046founded Physicians for Safe Technology. And Cindy says it's like we're rusting ourselves from the inside out. What Dr. Dr. Magda have us up at at um Professor Ammeritus at Trent University in Canada taught us is when you look under a microscope at our red blood cells, they're meant to be free floating little ovals or circles that bring oxygen to all of our systems and organs. And when we look under that microscope after exposing exposing our blood to wireless radiation, we see something very different. those nice ovals start looking like bottle caps, like they're dehydrating, and then they start because it's an electromagnetic field. They start gloming together and it it creates something called ruo formation. In my little brain, that sounds like rolos, you know, the candy, the chocolate caramels that are stacked up. That's
047kind of what ruo formation does. It stacks up those blood cells. that clusters them together and then they can't go where they need to go to bring oxygen to all of our systems and organs. So that oxidative stress our doctors were will tell us is a precursor to almost every chronic illness. >> Absolutely. It leads to inflammation and so many people know that a lot of the diseases today are caused by inflammation. So we know >> getting constant you know oxidative stress >> your body is not going to be very healthy. It's and with ru if you're going if your blood cells are clumping together how are you going to get profusion of your brain >> and you know other organs. >> Yeah. Another one of the experts said, "The viscosity of our blood is
048supposed to be that of red wine, and when we're exposed to this man-made radio frequency, it starts turning out to be ketchup." So, we just we want to get word out. We're doing these programs, not for us, but for you who are watching us today, because if we don't speak up as citizens, nothing changes. And very often it's citizens who bring these facts to our health care teams, to our municipal leaders, to our schools because we didn't know any better until we fell down the rabbit hole. Now we are feeling morally obliged to help others learn those facts. So go to Pennsylvania for safe technology. Go to Massachusetts for safe technology. Join us for our next free public education webinar on the 29th of October, 6:00 to 8:00 PM. It's a two-hour program, so you'll
049get a lot more detail on the science and the mechanisms of harm that we know now scientifically cause illness, not just correlation, but causation. So, Donna, thank you again for giving us your time so generously today. Uh, do you have any parting words or thoughts that you'd like to share? Wow. No, thank you so much. I'm looking here at my notes to see if there was anything that we didn't cover. You know, I think another thing for the legislators and others to think about, it's very, very difficult for people who rent to protect themselves because they might not have access to the panel and they've got exposures coming from different directions. So, I think that's really really important. Um, >> yeah. I know a woman here in the town next to us in Hopkin who
050had the misfortune of having a bank of these smart meters installed outside of her kitchen on the exterior wall. And she got so sick and had no idea what was happening, but she knew there was something in her condo that was making her sick because she was couch surfing with friends and loved ones and then she would be better. And as soon as she went back to her condo and it turned out it was that bank of smart meters. So we really do need protections for people in multi-unit >> for renters and and our bill would help to address some of that. So >> to Cece, if you've thought or any of the legislators have talked about the issue where if the utilities are selling our data, can't that money be pulled back into this
051to pay for analoges, to pay for filters? Um >> yeah, >> to consider. I think I think that was a point someone brought up recently. >> Consideration. So yeah, it's um we we have presented to our state department of public utilities and I want to give a shout out to our host here today, WACV, because WACA, they sent somebody down into Boston with us and recorded this entire afternoon session where we presented fact after fact, but it to date has fallen on deaf ears. And so for the first time in Massachusetts, Eversource, which is our other major provider, we have National Grid and we have Eversource. National Grid has provided a feebased opt out. All along, Eversource never gave anybody the right to opt out. This time, because I think of the advocacy work that
052we have done in the past, they are finally offering an opt out, but it's a feebased. And that for a disability, you should never be assessed a fee. Um, and if you just want to be preventative, you should not have to pay every month just to get your utility information sent to the utilities. So, we have these um letters coming out to residents from Eversource right now. I'm getting contacted every week saying, "Oh my gosh, they're going to come put a smart meter on my house. What do I do?" and I say, "Get on the phone and talk to your legislators right now because we have these bills and we need to get them passed with this emergency preamble." Um, and then do everything you can to prevent them. Send a notice, certified mail to
053your provider saying, "I do not consent to have radiation attached to my home." So, reach out. We'll do our best to help you, but until people start speaking up, nothing changes. >> So, true. We're so blessed that Senator Mastriano and the representatives in the House have introduced these bills and we really need to get the public more involved and push these forward. And I think the emergency preamble is really important. We're the unfortunate example of kind of what not to do. Don't >> Yeah. But there's no playbook. We have been we've been making this up as pioneers as we go. So we learn and we learn from each other and we build off of that. So, Donna, I want to thank you again so much for everything you do for the children in our world
054in your profession and everything you're doing for the Pennians who are suffering from radio frequency EMR syndrome. So, with that, we will close and maybe we'll have you back another time. We'll do another session and do the deeper dive in on the actual protections that people are using until we get public policy to protect us. All right, everybody. Have a techsafe [music] day and we look forward to seeing you for episode 64.
