Hey clockers, my name's Hi Silver with WACA and I'll be bringing you a brief summary of the Ashlin Town Managers newsletter. Coming up for news, we have some overnight parking bans in place. A reminder that Ashlin's annual overnight parking ban is in effect through March 31st. No street parking is allowed between 2 and 6:00 a.m. And if you have any questions, reach out to the DPW. Letters to Santa are due December 14th. Santa's red mailbox is open in Montenegro Square. Children can receive a handwritten reply by dropping their letter with a selfressed stamped envelope by December 14th. There's some job and volunteer opportunities happening in Ashland right now. They're hiring for several positions including light equipment operator, a local building inspector, and a library assistant director. Volunteer seats are open on multiple boards including the
community preservation committee, the conservation commission, and the zoning board of appeals. For more information on that, you can check out the town website, and there'll be plenty of information on each of those positions. This week's community shoutout is to the Asher. A big thank you goes to the Asher and its residents for their incredible support of the Ashlin food pantry. Residents donated dozens of bagged bags filled with food and essentials. They even helped stock the shelves for families in need. Their generosity is a shining example of the Ashland community spirit and what it truly means to be a clocker. Illuminate Ashland downtown is coming up on December 13th from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. So, this is super exciting. You'll be able to enjoy art installations and performances throughout downtown starting at Amory's dance center. Multiple
local businesses will host visual and performing arts, and you will not want to miss it. The building and fire department will be having a meet and greet on December 13th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the town hall. You can learn about permits, regulations, and home home owner responsibilities. That's a tongue twister again. Coffee and donut donuts will be provided. So, this is a really great opportunity if you are looking to get educated on any of those things. The AHS winter coral concert. Wow, another tongue twister. Coming up on December 11th, a light in the darkness. The annual winter choir concert will be held at 7 p.m. at the Ashland High School Auditorium. There will be free admission and beautiful music. Another event that you will not want to miss. The Manora lighting will be
held on December 14th for any of y'all celebrating Hanukkah and even those who do not celebrate Hanukkah. From 6:15 to 7 pm in downtown Ashland, you can join Shereé Shalom Congregation for blessings and songs as the community manura is lit. For recreation events, we have the NYC bus trip December 13th and holiday escape room December 18th. I want to know more about that. Registration is available at ashenmma.mmyrec.com. And lastly, as always, especially during the holiday season, the Ashlin Food Pantry continues to accept monetary donations, gift cards, and unexpired goods. Donations can be dropped at the community center or town hall. That's it from me today. Thank you all for tuning in, and thank you to Michael Herbert and our town staff for putting together this newsletter. My name is Hi Silver with WACA, wishing you
a good night and go Cowboys. Heat. Heat. Oh, heat, heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Woo!
