001I'd like to welcome everyone tonight to the board meeting. Um, we'd like to have our We are we are we We are hallelujah. We are we have all board members present tonight. Um Chris has joined us. Um he's called in. So moving to section two. Carson, is there anybody that? >> Nope. >> Okay. So we have no public forum, no board comments. Moving on to 2.2. Um there is a student recognition tonight. We'd like to give a big shout out to all of our Todd County wrestlers. Um the wrestling teams took place in the Big Dakota Conference. Um many of them did an amazing job. So, thank you all. Um, is there a motion now to adopt the agenda? >> I'll move. >> I'll second by Mark by Amanda Allen. >> Yes. >> Hey, Michelle.
002>> Yes. >> Uh, do I just next week talk about what we talked about earlier? >> Oh, that those cars. >> Oh, >> surplus. It'll go on the next for the discussion on the next meeting. >> Perfect. Okay. >> Yep. [clears throat] >> Okay. Moving on to reports and presentations. I'd like to turn this time to Robera for her report. >> And I am going to pass it on to Bo and let him give his so he can get going. >> Good evening. Thanks for having me. I'm going to go over what I did for the summer food service program this past summer. Um we provided meals for children from 0 to 17 and um this coming year we're going to add creek as an additional site and the numbers for June and July there
003are exciting combined. Um some of the things they worked towards accomplishing this school year or have accomplished um will be the renewal applications for the national breakfast program, the national school lunch program and the vegetable fresh fruit and vegetable program. In addition to these programs, I also ensure that funds are for our favors and state commodities program is met appropriately prior to the school. Prior to the school year, all returning I can't stop. All retraining and new food service staff are trained in civil rights and tough county school district food safety plan also known as SOPs. I conduct this training each year. um processed meals and production records each month to ensure timely processing of reimbursement. Uh completed mandatory and state surveys and verification reporting as well as ensuring direct certification for SNAP and FDIR
004which is also known as commodity program. Households are completed regularly in the state IMAP system ongoing staff and regulation monitoring throughout the school year being beginning in April 2026. will begin the renewal process for the community eligibility provision or C which is done every four years. This probation ensures that meals continue to be free for all county students due due to limited availability of serve safe instructors in our area. I've begun that process to become an instructor and proctor. Beginning in March, I will be planning for the menus and for procurement for the 2526 summer food service program. Foods to service staff operating the SFSP program must receive annual training right by myself prior to the start of the summer food program. In May, I will begin the treatment process and planning for the 26
00527 school year. And I also initiated research and to get some local meat menus. That's the end of my report. Any questions? >> I don't think so. >> Thank you for all you do. >> Thank you. >> All righty. So, as you know, next week is schoolboard recognition week. Um, and I want to thank all of you and acknowledge you for all that you do for our school district. And I have um some certificates for you afterwards that I will give you. And we were going to take a picture tonight, but Chris is not here, so we have to take one at the end of the month. >> Okay. And then I also >> Huh? >> No, we'll wait. >> You're welcome to take one. >> We'll we'll wait for you. Um I also provided
006you the school um the winter briefing from South Dakota School Safety Center. What it highlights, which I wanted to point out, was the safe tossafe. Um, it's a way to communicate anonymously any concerns that you have and it's listed there what those concerns could be, but it's a way to maybe get people to report a little bit more rather than not saying anything. >> And that's why I have our website pulled up because the link is right there on that front page up on top >> and I went through it with the counseling department last spring. administration's now aware of it and then we put it up there so kids were now or adults anybody in the public >> will this be um put out on the district page >> yeah that's the page that's
007our page >> um like what about social media because a lot of young parents follow >> Oh yeah we can >> Okay then your calendar update um we will have a calendar ready for the agenda at the end of the month. It's somewhat similar to this year. We did increase student days, which was something um our survey showed us. We built in some days for middle school and high school student work days at the end of the quarter. Um we saw that they were getting towards the end of the quarter, but then it was harder for them to make it up. So, we put in these days, and those days go from 8:30 to 1, >> so it's like a half a day at the end of the quarter. >> Um to hopefully help keep
008their grades up. Um, we're starting later in the week or later in the month of August so that we're out prior to Memorial Day next. >> Yep. Next meeting. Then we'll have it all put together [clears throat] with all the numbers. Um, and then hopefully we get it approved. That's it for now. Any questions? Student hearing next Wednesday and Chad will be running that one. >> 5:15. The 23rd board meeting is at 5:30. Our regular one is at 5:30. >> Any other questions of Roberta? >> Um, moving on to the consent agenda then. Um, 7.1. The consent agenda may be approved with one motion if the board member wishes to do so at this time. >> Moved by Amanda. >> Second by Mark. >> Chris. >> Oh, Chris. How many times have I done that
009to you guys? I'm sorry. >> All in favor? >> Yes. >> Moving on to 7.2. Um, is there a motion to approve the administrative rule waiver for Francisco Alvarado? >> Moved by Amanda. >> Second. Second by Mark. All in favor? >> Yes. >> Um 7.3 the county high school. Um there's a college tour overnight stay. All in favor? >> Yes. >> And the last item is 7.4. >> Okay. I was gonna say this one. >> Sorry. This is the new one that we just added on. >> Yep. This is the new one.
