001Hey folks, welcome to another edition of It's Happening at the Ashlin Public Library. We're going to go on inside and see what's going on this week. [Music] Hello. It's what's happening at the library. One of my favorite parts of the week. Thank you to Waka TV for letting us do this fun stuff. So today, well, oh, I'm Nina Jane. I'm the director of the Ashlin Library. And um today I'm talking about the art gallery. It's one of our favorite features of the library. And um it's been going on for many years. Our current coordinator is Larry D. Young, and he is actually retiring from being our coordinator starting uh I think in January, and he has been doing this for 25 years, just changing out the art every couple months, finding artists. It's been amazing

002the kind of work that uh has made its way through this library. And although we're a library first and an art gallery second, um when we've done surveys, we found that 40% of people come to this library just for the art and then discover how awesome the library is as well. Nothing wrong with that. So, um I wanted to point out this particular um uh exhibit because it it's here every year. It's by the high school art students and um every summer they have different artists come in and um fill our walls for the for the summer. They all go away, but they do share their work with us. So, it's eclectic, it's it's dynamic, it's innovative, and we really love the connection between the high school students as blossoming artists. So, um if you

003are ever here, definitely check it out and um let us know what you think. [Music]
