001[Music] So, we're back with Laura Bernier, our teen librarian, and she has a really fun program for the kids coming up for kids 12 to 18 next week. Right. I do. If you were wondering why I'm sitting here with a bowl of popcorn, it's because we are having a brand new club at the library called Snack Club, which is just as food oriented as you would think. Every month we're doing a new food related activity, rating, testing, making, and it is going to be on the second Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. And so this month is going to be on August 14th. So, snack club is going to be Thursday, August 14th at 5:00 p.m. here at the library. And there will be food. This month, we're making mug cakes.
002What is a mug cake? Okay, a mug cake is a cake that you make just in instead of one pot, you make it in one mug in the microwave and it's going to be chocolatey goodness. >> Oh my gosh, that sounds so good. So, it is really only for 12 to 18 year olds. Um, can somebody come in just to supervise? >> Let's see. You have to sign up online first. >> Okay. But can you still be over 18? >> I think we'll make an exception for you, >> but not for anyone else. >> So, yes, register online so we know how much how many mugs to have available and then you come and eat and chat with your friends. I mean, how I mean, like, what could be better? >> Library plus snacks. >>
003That's right. Oh, maybe you could take a book out or sign up for summer reading. There's so many things you could do as a teenager here in the library. So, I we hope you'll come by. And as I was saying before, this is the teen children and teens brochure. So, if you come by the library, you can find out everything that's happening in the teen room with in the teen room um in the month of August. And if you are if you are a reader, like you like to have paper around, this is perfect. So, make sure you grab our brochure so you know what's happening all month long. You don't miss out on anything.
