One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Okay, before we get started, let's just make sure we got a few dates uh in mind. Next board meeting will be Monday night uh here. Uh we'll be doing a final interview for superintendent attendance attendance and uh Tuesday night next week which is the 17th is our regular schedule for meeting at 5:00 and should have a name we'd like to mention for the uh director of schools we should have chosen plus we also have our board retreat that day starting at 9:00 so all board members need to be here 900 a.m. >> [snorts] >> Dr. Ty, she'll

be here conduct probably somebody else school association. Uh other than them dates, I think that is it for dates. Uh we only have basically Uh, one thing on the on the agenda, uh, I I I would like to before we get started, holding, uh, ask the board questions for the second round. [snorts] There's still some good questions that y'all submitted in here that I think goes a little bit more depth, but be some good questions for the second one. Do y'all want me to pull some questions out of here? Or do you want to go off script and have Robin sitting on the edge and maybe shut us down if we ask the wrong question or y'all want to pick your own question and we'll go through ask question? What does the board do? Makes

no difference. >> There's some good questions still in there. We can't. But I'm going tell you, I don't want it going. We're [clears throat] not going to go 50 minutes. I I'd like to get this thing back in 20 minutes or something. So, I don't know if I'll pull 10 questions. Maybe I'll look through and pull us a good three >> and then >> we have a followup question and Mor will have to shut us down if we're asking something we don't need to ask. So I start off with a question that I shouldn't be asking. You shut me down. I can't get mad at you. I'm not at the second I understand. go [clears throat] off script question. >> I'll pick us I'll pick us three questions. [clears throat] three or four questions and

need to write off them questions or ask a question to something already answer questions personal question >> I don't want to be here in Ohio that's good All right. All right. Now getting [clears throat] into picking the three candidates. This has been hard and I've been worrying about this how to pick them. So I've come up a way and how we're going to choose these three candidates and I've got some rules we're going to have to follow. Okay. Every one of you sitting at the seat here, if you open up your package, you should have a ballot on the back side. You should have a ballot piece of paper like this. Okay, they got four candidates. The four candidates names is on the ballot. All right. Rule number one, you've got to sign your ballot.

So, whenever you do your ballot, you got to sign your ballot, your name, your signature, and the district you're in and date. Okay? And then we'll read them at the end. Number two, you must vote for three. You can't vote for one. You can't vote for two. You can't vote for all four. You must have three back to the to the interview. Okay? You can check them. X them. I don't care. Just put you down. Three marks on the three that you want to choose. You got to choose three. In the event of a tie for the third one, I ain't talking about one or two. And what we'll do is we'll add up the check marks. Highest numbers go. Eight, seven, whatever. Highest numbers go. Add up chicken. In the event of two candidates

was to tie for the third position, We'll revote them two. Just them two. See which one get the event the tie again. We'll vote it one more time. Right. Hopefully, >> whatever three you want. That's that's the rules of the >> Before we go into that, we'll talk about if we get >> Well, at that point. >> Okay, that was my my point I was going to make. If if it ties a second time, I believe we ought to disqualify the candidates and go if he gets >> that little heart. >> Why don't you I mean, you're the chairman. Why don't you just let you And I could >> I hope we don't listen. I have lost sleep and worried and worried about that. You know what? I hope we all been praying about our

decisions. Let's go across. >> I think I think Rick's make decisions like this. I think you could have really unintended consequences by eliminating two in the event of a tie because you may because you're not waiting these candidates under the system that Mr. Manning has put forward. So you may inadvertently eliminate everybody's favorite choice >> depending on I mean that's a possibility >> to do that. I mean, it may not happen. Uh, in theory, if nobody is monkeying with the system and everybody's truly voting, they're conscious on these votes and they're okay. But if you're trying to um subvert the vote, then you may inadvertently eliminate a top candidate by doing that by choosing to eliminate two. and and I don't want you to rank them nothing. Just a check mark or H beside their

name in the box. [cough] >> Well, I mean I think you all need to decide what you're how you're going to break the tie before you vote and whether that's going to be >> I I thought about we can put the names in the hat and drop it. >> I mean, this is a hiring process. >> It ties two. If it was to tie twice, we could put their name in a hat and draw. What What about this two that two people get seven or eight and the other [snorts] two? >> No. consensus at that part. There's a big consensus that >> well I think >> I think you'd have to have a different motion at that point because you all voted. >> Yeah. Let's let's see if we can get >> Are y'all going

to decide the tie when you get there or >> I'm gonna say we decide the tie when we get there? If there is we got to vote out the tie first. the tie had to be voted. Okay. And we might not ever get that. >> My concern is with that is that depending on who the tie is, that may influence what everybody wants to do at that time. And I feel like most everything for the candidates that I don't want I don't want the how you vote on the tie to be influenced by who is a part of that. We can if we have a tie and we vote again tie or not you don't I don't think we get there but if it's a double tie both eliminate because here's the way I say

this guys if somebody man is running and I get four and four and we vote again and I get four and four you ain't going to let me direct I say four you don't like so If I waste my time, I waste your time. That's the way I see. So, we'll vote it twice. They tie twice. Everybody get >> all in favor say I. I. >> All right. Please vote for three. Vote for three. J don't matter. Vote for three. Sign them. Don't forget sign. >> [clears throat] >> That's what you might be asking for. >> [clears throat] >> I hope everybody got the school out. 11 and one 11 faculty I believe correct me if I'm plan 45. And I would like to say I do thank good the same way for the next

>> for purposes of the record. I'll read these votes in Or >> you rather have the tallies first or you want me to read the votes in the record? red books in the record. 014now we'll have to keep in balance. You do make ballots. >> It's got everybody's name on it. >> So, Mr. Ash, Dr. Ash, and Dr. The last would be two [snorts] of them. So now you're voting for the third one. >> Only vote for the top in between Mr. Story. >> You're just voting for one. Correct. >> Yes. >> Vote for one. You going to vote between Mr. Times and Mr. Okay. >> [clears throat] >> Turn it into the records. Scotty Enick, Bobby Story, Tommy Manny, 10 towns. Scotty Lewis, 10 towns.
