001Are you trust? Please show me There it is. Yeah. Heat. Hi everybody. My name is Kylie Beckley for those who don't know me and I am the Bar High School's FCA president and I would just love to pray for y'all tonight and like just pray for guidance over this and all that. I'm super grateful for being here. So I wanted to start with a verse that I think really helps Gunner and it's a Z or Ecclesiastes 4:10 and it says for if they fall one will lift them up one will lift up his fellow but to him who is alone when he falls and has not another and I think that really just shows like the community like when someone's going through a hard time and has a meeting of a small town where you

002can lean on your friends and your neighbors and a meeting like this to just come together and like be like hey I'm going through this. Can you pray for me? Or can you help me? I just lost the love and can you bring me food or something like that if you will just do that even if you don't ask. And I think that's really beautiful and good testament in just small towns of America. And then with that, would you all please bow your heads with me and we can pray. Lord Jesus, I thank you for this meeting and the meeting that's going to come from it. Lord Jesus, I thank you for all the people that are here tonight to show their support and our faith. I thank you for all the board members that

003have been elected to help guide this community. Lord, I pray for peace over this and the decisions that are being made and that you guide our leaders into showing what true decisions you want that are actually going to help your students and your people. Lord, I pray that there's if there's any corruption or any bad decisions or anything like that that you stop it out because you are not for that. You are for the me and you are a powerful all knowing God and you are here to guide and protect and I pray that you protect the students of GSD and also our leaders and their parents. Lord I pray over just everything that's happening this season. We did just lose a big football game which really does suck but there is also a beauty

004in that you know you can show us to be stronger and everything is in your plan. you know, all the football players that were injured. I pray for them that you please help them get better and football is a huge aspect of this town, but maybe that's a testament of what could be our thought, you know, putting something above you, you know, put so much support into sports here, but maybe we should turn it back to you and school and stuff. And maybe this loss was a real big realization of how much we idolize that and who know we are that you help this community, you know, maybe shift it back to you in the school and uh scholastics. Lord, I pray for the decisions tonight being made at this meeting. I pray that you

005do guidance and you guide your people and these leaders to the right decisions. I pray that if there's anything back that's on the table that's kind of like I'm not sure about that or anything like that that you have peace and guidance because you are a god of wisdom and you obviously know that every single small choice is going to lead to something big and if there's a small choice made tonight that's not in your plan please stop it now I pray of any spirit that wants to like destroy that or come to attack these plans Lord because that is not of you and I rebuke it in the name of Jesus And Lord, I pray for the people that don't know you here tonight. I mean, there's a lot of people here. Someone's about

006to know you. And if they don't, I really invite you, the spirit, Lord, to fill them and to guide them. And if they don't, they're really missing out because you really are the best. And I don't say that being like I say that as a true believer and meaning that like being a Christian is probably the hardest thing you could ever do. And if they do not know you, I pray that even though this isn't really like a Christian event, you can still talk to anyone anywhere because you're everywhere. Your angels are everywhere and you can sit with anyone anywhere. And Lord, I pray for this community, everybody in I mean a lot of stuff has happened in the past year and all those people that are suffering or that need that you're with them.

007I pray for everybody this holiday season. It's really busy and people can be distracted from the point that this was the time that you were born. You sent your son to come as a human being, the only person on this earth. Everybody else tried to become God, but God became a human and you chose to humble yourself before us and die for us. And this is what this season's truly about. The beginning of a beautiful history that was made for millions of lives changed. I pray that you please direct us through this holiday season and everything that's happening. Please guide us back to that. And Lord Jesus, I really thank you for this meeting. And I pray that you please forgive us for all our sins because you truly are forgiving God. any shame or

008pain or anxiety or anything that anyone has that you do forgive them and that you please give them peace that you sow every student to attain an exceptional education that challenges to exceed their own expectations and provide a foundation for success in life. Any audience participation or anybody like to speak on any good evening everybody dates for this month. Our strategic planning process as you following is going to be finished in March. Right now we have 12 U action team leaders and those employees of our district are leaders within that our community and they're have each been assigned a different strategic action and they're going to develop our plan from that. We're going to have five different members on their team and so we're getting a lot of participation. student will be on every team,

009a parent on every team, business on every team. And so we're trying our best to make sure we listen to all of our stakeholders and we understand the next five to seven years of what ICU can be within this strategic planning process. We are in the middle of looking at high quality instructional materials for math curriculum. We are currently sending out to math teachers a couple of very good Bible they can use for math curriculum. We like to see that adopted this spring so that when we come back in August we have a line aligned rigorous bridge from that from all the way to 12th grade. We are uh redoing the gym entrance right over here that gym you know whenever you first walk in it didn't look right. So we're making that look a

010lot different. So we come back in January I think the fourth tournament here. So when you come back and watch the the tournament, pay attention when you go through into the gym at the new entry way and I think you all believe that we actually look like an entry way, not just a restaurant. And then we are also developing a math framework. It's going to be says how we teach and what we teach as far as mathematics K through 12. This year we're doing the math framework. make sure we this uh this month here in December to close out meeting with Senator Hagen and his staff. Next this week on Wednesday we have a safety and security council meeting we have a middle school high school Christmas concert. So if you're not in band is

011our band come on out and support them. They'll be performing over at the high school comics on Wednesday night and then our Christmas break does end this Friday the school. We come back in January and we have a DVD meeting. We are finalizing the development of our calendar should be uh 26 27 that's the title and we will have our strategic action team kickoff celebration and that's whenever they start that important work that I talked about first and then I'll be meeting with representative sher meetings with our representatives and senators it's about how can they best help our schools where they are they looking and interrupt between sessions and they go back to us and they can help our schools be the best we can be financially but also curriculum safety and other all the

012other things that go along with school. So that's what I have the students for. And then we have our second ambassador first. We took 20 uh people in the community that we took 20 and then 19 of those 20 first meeting uh that we had and our second one is on the 13th of January and then that meeting we talk about finance and facilities. We are looking to adopt a character education program. We don't know which one yet. We narrow it down to two or three. Um on the 15th of January, I'm taking a small team in Oklahoma to look at great expectations and then we're going to turn around the 21st. That same exact team is going to go down to see Patrick and then we may go see like I said and then

013we'll make a decision on what's best for Gunner and our students because we feel like part of what makes us unique and special is that small town feel. as we grow out, we need to make sure our kids character character is very important. So that's why we want to make sure we instill that now though it's not an issue yet. It can quickly become an issue and not have that identity. So that's why we're looking into that and then our January meeting and then I'll be in San Antonio. Now we have student hand. All right. Today we are recognizing our November student of the month award recipients. First we have London Pace. This one is not here. Max stand right here. London. This is what Mrs. O' said about you. She is a [clears throat]

014wonderful example of kindness and respect in our classroom. She is a great listener who always pays attention and follows directions. London is also a fantastic friend. She shares, helps others, and always has a smile to brighten everyone's day. Her positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning make her a joy to have in class. We are so proud of you. Keep up the amazing work. Good job. First grade, we have Xavier Hernandez. All right, Xavier. Mrs. Martin said, "Exior, you are a respectful and motivated student. I love seeing how hard you work. You approach every challenge with curiosity and determination, always striving to do your best. In addition to

015being academically strong, being academically strong, you show genuine respect for others, listening thoughtfully, helping peers, and setting an example of integrity and responsibility. You truly embody what it means to be a role model in our school community. You exemplify grit and grace in our classroom every single day. Thank you. Second grade. All right, folks. This is what Mrs. Walden said about you. I'm excited to announce Bruce Parker as second grade student of the month. He always tries his very best at everything he does, follows directions, works hard to complete assignments and sets a great example for others. He is a kind and respectful friend who helps classmates and treats everyone with care. I'm so proud of his hard work and positive attitude. Third grade Foster. All right. From Mrs. Teal and Mrs. Harper, we are

016so excited to recognize Leon Foster as our third grade student of the month. Leon is hardworking and always gives her best in everything she does. This sweet girl comes to school each day with a smile and positive attitude that completely brightens our classroom. She is also a kind and caring friend who treats everyone with respect and is always willing to help others. Leen sets a wonderful example for her classmates and is a true the true definition of a better tiger. We are so proud of you, Len, and love you so much. Keep shining that bright light of yours. Diego Martinez from Mrs. Reed and Mrs. Tough. Diego consistently shows what it means to be respectful, responsible, and ready to learn. As a new student to gun this year, he has quickly made friends and jumped

017right in with a positive attitude. His joy and enthusiasm are contagious. Diego treats others with kindness and takes pride in always giving his best effort. We are so glad to have him in fourth grade. Way to go, Diego. from Mrs. Smith. Landon is respectful, kind, and thoughtful towards both her peers and teachers. Landon includes others and is a true friend. Her laugh and smile are contagious. She knows how to balance fun with focus, demonstrating remarkable grit by persevering even when challenges arise. Her hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed. Landon is a role model for her classmates, bringing joy, laughter, and positivity to everyone around her. Keep up the amazing work, Landon. We're so proud of you. Heat. Heat. Okay, I would like to recognize our November and December students of the month from

018their middle school. So, first things if I could have go ahead and come on up. And then from seventh grade, Kennedy Wilson and Christian Smith. And then from eighth grade, Abby Hilton. really. So I'll say the whole thing about these kiddos. So it means that students consistently demonstrate kindness, responsibility, and a strong commitment to learning. They are positive role models who make our a better place every day. The one thing that I want to say about all of these kids is how just wonderful and accepting they are of everyone in their class and everyone. I see them at lunch mostly and it's a really fun time. They get to socialize with their friends, but it's really nice for me to see how they interact with their peers and all of them are so kind and

019welcoming to anyone in their class. Um, Caroline and Emma are both very kind and social and they have a great group of friends and they're always leaders leading by example and presenting themselves like courteous, wonderful young women. Um, Kennedy and Christian are also leaders among their class. Christian always responds to me every time I say hello to him every morning. is always responsive and such a respectful young man. And Kennedy too, she's just so kind and thoughtful um whenever I see her interacting. And then Abby and Brley are just multi-talented students. I don't know if you've ever got to see them. They're in theater, they're in sports, they're um great in academics. So just all our kids are so wellrounded. So congratulations you guys. I'm very proud of you. The house is very Heat. Heat.

020>> [music] >> might be a little bit different than the staff recognition is supposed to be in a minute. But I talked to this morning the other night. She's like, I really don't care about standing in front of people by myself. And so I told her, I will bring the kids up with you. And so I'm going to highlight the organization that this thornhill has put together and our our two student leaders that you you'll hear from in just a second. And so it was historic students of America here 3 years ago. She started this program. When she started it, we had 12 kids. She is now 74 kids tonight. So she's going from 12 to 74. She has a deep investment in our kids, the future, our healthcare. And so it's truly a blessing

021to our students and our community. She's also a lead nurse for the district, so she's got her hands full. She stays pretty busy. Um from a nose bleed to an attack, whatever. She's she's always ready. So, she's a blessing for us and uh and especially our kids in the whole organization. And so, you have on this side and on the other on your left and so these two young ladies and a little bit too. It's a little bit tough teachers kids. I don't know anything you know anything about teachers kids. It's a little bit difficult to navigate the hallway. Everybody has access to your parents. you can't do anything. And my kids, they hate it. Um, but it's a lot of times, you know, as teachers and their kids getting here like that, you know,

022but these two kids up here, their leadership skills, just the young ladies that they are, just their character, it's unbelievable. And the highlight in these two leads and Riley is the vice president of this group. um and them two together. It's it's unreal. Uh they can lead any group for me. Um and so just a few of the highlights that they've done this year alone and I want to highlight because this time of the year it's about serving and giving back and that's all this group and all these two young ladies think about. And so they organized all these things just a few um they fundra the junior high they go to elementary they sell it to our to our younger kids. uh they raised about $250 doing that over the past few weeks and

023then they went and wrote a check for $250 to the women's rock um women club which supports breast cancer treatments and so they went provided that for them last week um they've also and I don't know if you see how messy the stands are after a game they also decided after one of the home football games they got the group together and they cleaned the stadium after and that's a big uh that's a big task and that's That's a lot off our custodial staff to do too. So that was huge for them to be that that thoughtful there. Um they also facilitated a field trip to the nursing home last week and so they visited play four games with the residents and I I know seeing the pictures I think our kids had just as

024good time as the residents did. Um and so it makes a huge difference for them but but it does for our kids as well. So, it was just great to see those pictures and how excited those people for the residents have been also and this is pretty impressive talking to to Miss Thornhill. They let the Scottish rock toy drive and I asked her and I was thinking how many toys did you deliver? I was thinking maybe 7,500. They gather nearly 500 toys go and the last couple things the blood drive and donation that's a big that's a big test too. And so every fall and every spring they put together a blood drive for our students 18 and older if they're under permission. But how many u 36 pints of blood last time. And so

025that goes a long way. So that's a uh that's a huge thing that they do as well to help our community and surrounding areas. And then the last is they they uh distribute awareness ribbons each month. Each one of them is a different color. And so that ribbon is a different various health issue that they bring awareness to the kids around their backpack whatever. So each month they have a different illness disease. they bring awareness to and then they do that as well. So rally in the entire club uh and by the high standards of student involvement leadership making the uh the difference in the lives while preparing for their futures. So once again um that's why they're the student of the month of the month. Thank you. Heat. Heat. Heat. All right. recognize all

026those that don't My daughter is our SRL at elementary school. She protects 493 of our youngest tigers. Every single day and over 50 staff members is out there on the highway every morning. We pass by way. Please drive the speed limit. Um she traffic for us to keep our community safe. Anna is here to do anything that's asked of her. She's active. I've been on several elementary campuses. It takes a special person to work at elementary school. It takes a very special police officer to work at elementary school. And Officer M gets in there with kids. She plays with them at recess. Um she is active. She gets to know them. They all look up to her. They love seeing Officer Me every single day. We have kids that are interested in law enforcement because

027of the type of person that Officer M is. So in addition to being um the best job in the district as well deserves to be seriously so much for you and our teachers. Thank you. [clears throat] Heat. I'm so excited to recognize Miss Katie King as our work for the middle school. She loves standing up here so much. Miss King is truly one of the most talented educators I've ever had the privilege of working with. In only her fourth year of teaching, she builds meaningful lasting relationships with students, consistently goes above and beyond for her colleagues, and brings genuine joy and positivity to our campus each day. She's not only an outstanding eighth grade science teacher, but she's also one of our student council sponsors and our unofficial official bookkeeper for volleyball and basketball season.

028Miss is always willing to take on new challenges and consistently places student success at the forefront of everything she does. Just look at the way that she tracks scores in her classroom. That was one of the um things we got to see on our learning walk as a district. She tracks the student scores in her classroom. She's consistently having conversations about academics with all her students. She's super positive and encouraging and she wants every student to succeed and so they do in her classroom. And it takes a very special person to teach eighth grade and then also eighth grade science on top of that. Um where it's fast changing and they have to learn a lot of information. And she just today I walked in and she was doing a basketball review game for them

029to review for their um test. So, she just thinks of really innovative ways to reach kids. I will forever proud be proud to say that hiring this game was one of the best decisions I've ever made for Gunnar. And yes, I will gladly take all the credit for that. Thank you for everything you do. We love you. Okay, you are here for student staff recognition that part is over. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Good evening. We have the financial report for November. Um, starting on page five and six, we're just going to go over the highlights. Um, our total ending balance for all accounts was $19,859,3588. Um, so then we're going to talk about some of the material changes within the accounts. Um, the general operating investment account decreased. I think I had typo on the

030slide that has increased, but it was decreased by $800,000 and that was just a transfer over to the general operating fund um because we're not getting in the tax tax revenue or state revenue. So we transferred out some of that and then in the 2022 bond account it decreased by $160,92.32 and this was um a banking error or I guess we call it an error. Um back previous administration there was a deposit into the bond account and um when when the administration asked Lamar about it they said oh that's just your interest revenue that you earned well it took from the summer of May of 2024 until now when they realized that they had a banking software system and it had double paid all the interest. So basically what it had done whenever that there

031was a a special account, a sweep account whenever that sweep account was closed um all the monthly interest was deposited in a lump sum once again. So it was $160,000 and it took um the banking um president for they were out of balance and it took them all over a year to figure out what had happened and we weren't the only customer. It was several customers. Um, so that was what that decreased. So the last material change that we have is all the interest earned for all the accounts total. Oh yes, I'm sorry. One more. Um, all interest earned for all the accounts total 62,635.98. Any questions on those accounts? >> That we did all of the numbers. They said they explained very well because they told us that relation What happens first? >> Yes.

032And I have all of the I'm sorry I didn't hear exactly what you're saying. I have all the copies of the statements. I asked them to send me all that for verification. Went through it all. Thank you. Uh the next thing that we'll talk about is from H7 and that's the tax collection update. So as of November 30th, we've collected about 7.8% 7.86% of the budget revenue for the tax collections. And then page eight goes over the budget summary of where we currently are. Um, for the general fund expenditures are at 47.25% of our budgeted totals. And for our revenue, we have collected 51.62% of our budgeted revenue. And that's all I have for the November highlights. At this time, our auditors for the 20242 financial year will give their summary of their whole [laughter]

033guys. All right. because you got all right my coworker James said it's about 90 pages about pages last year details account Texas we really appreciate working on sales Stacy and the whole team. It was a wonderful experience. It's our second year doing it and we feel privileged to do it and you know it's time to follow the wonderful game and then the uh the students. members trying to make it fun. It's my 35th year closer to children and grandchild sports guy from Nebrask. So congratulations. That's that's amazing. So all right stuff we've been in business since about right now 52 without further get to some results. So I really appreciate like I said the whole team wonderful my 35th year team. So I've seen it all. So I really appreciate their response. The responses are

034accurate. They're very good. So kudos to them which leads me to number two findings. We do a lot of testing with payroll dispersements and all sorts of items of the food program especially in those are very clean. So congratulations on that issue and you may think it's easy but from a county standpoint you changed your answer from 8:30 to 6:30. So the school year not easy changing therapy systems but I won't be that tonight. fashion. So this is the 10 month three financial is that position for next year for fiscal year 2025 at 630 25 which indicates assets exceed liabilities which indicates outstanding I think until the whole team came on board roughly 2 years ago or so there that position there. So balance sh is working on train that's a good balance. So I

035know you've increased 10 business days as far as that that comes. That's always a good sign. Um so keep that up. That's pretty good. just 2 years since you moved here. Uh which leads me to the third. 10.3 million which is always a good sign this year. So that's dedicated towards that service and you're building like crazy folks are just expanding James. It's just amazing numbers elementary. So kudos to you folks for keeping going on. Uh and that's pretty much it for you know findings shape you know I work with private public sector nonprofit so you know you folks are great everybody so kudos to you folks really appreciate any questions or anything no issues excellent folks great. [cough] Thank you. Appreciate it. Look forward to doing it next year. Yeah. I know you're going

036to approving this or whatever and I'll get some signatures here. Let's see. Audit notes from the board secretary to president. So, thank you. Appreciate it. Have a great year. Approval by motion to approve. Motion second. I pass signatures now. Feel free to hang out. [laughter] Awesome. Thank you very much. Thank you. I don't see all right 17 students in one school at the same time just like 1,153 students and our attendance is not on here but our attendance is still holding steady as it has been throughout the school year about 19% which is fine as far as financial power. All right. Yeah. right now uh should be finished I would imagine in the next week week and a half or so the last project school is finally finished a year and a half C in

037those are installed in the last thing we're working on is uh the concrete cap pieces to kind of finish out the major part done uh templates to get the concrete perfect to fit all those caps last week. So that should be finished here as well. Uh based just as great. So that's being taken down to the replacement which is better. Also for the fans you can actually see you won't see it really plus it's just a better material bounce off like they do the chain the chain. Um, so as far as just stuff that's all right now to us in the next few weeks, they're going to give us designs on the high school this summer and they're also going to start just to as long as she us a little different. I just wanted

038to um as far as she has been working with a few of our students. Um Bracewell Johnny Bernard a few weeks ago we want we want to put together a media uh a news media instead of doing announcements together and I was like absolutely and this uh has been with them putting that together. They sent it to me this morning said what do you think? I said that's that's amazing. um just seeing their personality, seeing them out the halls interacting with different kids and the teachers and so I really wanted to show that tonight. So you don't have to hear me talk anymore. Just enrollment update. 9th grade we have 105th grade we have 112 88 and then 12 we're 77. So, we're still at 382 right now on campus and hang in about the

03996% off. Just a few real quick though that was up here and then last week they signed play basketball and going to Southeastern Oklahoma's going to Austin College. So, they're go further their basketball and educational career. So, that's always exciting. And we had two make it to our region Sarah Smith and Justin Greater. So we were excited for those two. And then as far as this week goes, we have girls basketball tomorrow night. So the district game at 5:00 concert 6 p.m. Wednesday. So if you get a chance, come by and watch that. We have a wrestling tournament on the 20th of our girls basketball on the 22nd. We'll be in for another district. So short and then chances watch this video. Heat. [music] Heat. Yeah. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat.

040Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Christmas. Thank you. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. [clears throat] Heat. Heat. Heat. Sorry. Okay guys, so um our enrollment right now is at 284. We anticipate four kids starting in January. So we're at 288 starting in January. Um and those are moveins. Uh they're early acceptance, summer early acceptance and some are moveins. Um our attention right now is about 97%. Um I'm rounding up but it's about 96.7. Um, and so that has been just a lot better than last year. So, I'm just happy that that's that's going well. Um, we came back uh this season. The National Junior Honor Society students delivered toys today to Children's Medical Center. Um, and it was a great experience for all of

041them. They all went and had lunch um afterwards and they all reported that it was just a really special thing to get to do that. And then our student council members are collecting canned foods for the canned food drive. We're going to food pantry. Tomorrow is the last day. I was just talking with this game prior and we really think we're going to get to 1,000 items which was their challenge and that means we have to do cookies for the entire school. So we're going to do it to do the whole school. So that's going to happen on Thursday. Um we had two represent band was a sax player and then lo so just very exciting for those boys and I'm sure you heard our middle school I play one district again for the fourth

042year in a row I was not surprised at all was an outstanding show incredible work that we did but also just the kids was my best performer And then we had two allar cast and Abby Hilton. And then Julia G allstar tech and then Kenny Garel got honorable mention. So just an incredible group of kids and a great cast. They worked very hard on that and did a great job. Our main concert as you guys know is this Wednesday. So excited about that. And then our UI competition is tomorrow at Grayson College. We had over 50 students participating in that where we had probably 20 last year. So that grew astronomically. Um, so we have contestants in every single event. So we hope to do really well in that tomorrow. The kids are really excited.

043Um, and especially, you know, school day. So that's fun, too. Um, and then Mr. Small has been our coordinator for our competition. He's done a great job. So just shout out to him. And then also wanted to mention his class, our SDC class, wrapped up their final watching ball tournament this weekend. It was their most successful one yet. We had two gold medals um win all four actually with Joshua Noah winning gold and Kay winning gold Sean and Grace and Jesus all went silver. So great job with those and we just love having them on our campus. So that's all right. Um our attendance year today at the elementary is 96.34%. Uh our attendance from the time we last met it's been 95.52. Um in addition to obviously impacting our funding um I was doing

044some digging into distinctions that we can be eligible for from the EA. Uh along with a letter grade there are distinctions we can earn and our attendance actually factors into several of those. So, uh, the way distinctions work is we're compared to 40 schools that the state considers similar to us demographically. And so, last year that for us to earn a point for our attendance in those areas, 96.0 was the cut off. So, that's kind of what I'm aiming for to stay above that 96. Uh, right now we're we're above 96. Not a lot, but we're we're just above it. So, if we can keep that up, that would be great and make it a lot easier for us to earn those academic distinctions. Um, our enrollment is 493 and I believe we're getting four

045more starting January 5th. So, we'll be almost at 500 at elementary school. Um, since we last met, uh, November 19th, we had our balloons over Broadway Parade. uh second and third grade uh created balloons based off of their text and created our own school. Um November 20th we had our region 10 safety and security audit. Uh that's the one where they give us a lot of feedback what TEA is going to do in the spring. Um so that was an all day audit. Um made some uh making some adjustments to make sure we don't have any findings in the spring on that. December 2nd and December 9th, we took our uh reading star interim test and our math star interim test. That's an elective test that's put out by the state. It's shorter than the

046STAR test and it's adaptive. So, kids get the uh first 12 questions are the same and then based off of how well they do, it'll put them on a high, medium, or low track to kind of get a um a projection of how they're going to do in a shorter amount of time. Um, so we got our results back from that. Those look very encouraging. I'll go over some of those a little bit later in our house 3 um analysis. Uh, also December 9th, we got our drop everything and read community event at the elementary school. Um, that there PTO participated. Kids made bookmarks. Uh, people brought gingerbread houses and and voted on a gingerbread contest. And then all of our teachers were set up in different parts of the school. We had NHS volunteers

047come reading as well. And so it was a really good turnout and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. We tested out um our golf cart valet. Um and so we advertised it a little better cuz I think people thought it was just a random guy coming up in a golf cart trying to get them to get in the golf cart. So but it's definitely something we're going to we're going to do for grandparents day moving forward. December 10th, the cheerleaders came over, did some Christmas caroling for our kids. They really enjoyed that. December 11th, we got to participate in the Christmas pep rally, and kids got to see Santa if you were in attendance. That's my favorite pep rally. The kids go wild for Santa Claus. Um, December 11th, I recommended to hire Ashley Jones

048to replace Rachel Ray as a educational aid. Rachel Ray was internally promoted uh to administrative assistant uh for the IT and security department. Uh let's see, December 11th, we also have our lockdown drill for the semester. I wouldn't note it except it's our first lockdown drill in the new building. So, that one's it's interesting in terms of new spaces. Um but it was successful. We got a lot of good feedback and we're just tweaking some small things in terms of where people go, line of sight, that sort of thing. Um, coming up tomorrow night at 6:30, we're having our first grade Christmas musical in the cafeteria. Um, and then December 18th, we're having our Christmas parties. Oh, also tomorrow morning, third grade is doing Christmas around the world in the cafeteria from 8:15 to 9:30.

049Uh where they do they've done a research project on different countries and how they celebrate celebrate Christmas in those countries. So that's always a really fun thing to go to if you have time. That's all I got for my principal report. But now I got more >> [laughter] >> So, for House Bill 3 update, we'll have this little pack that I put together for you. And today, we're looking at the third grade math go. Uh, so these were again newly created. Every 5 years or so, we're supposed to revisit them. And so, our 2025 baseline was based off of our star scores from this past year. So in third grade we had 62% of our students at meets or masters and we set a reasonable goal of 2 to 3% growth every year. Um sometimes

050you'll see them where they they shoot up 10 20%. And it's just not realistic. So slow and steady and we feel really good about this rate of growth. If you'll go to the So our goal this year is 64% meets our masters in third grade math. Uh just to kind of give you some context for um for this. I guess I should stay here for the camera. Uh so I've colorcoded this is last year. All of the first four are the um data points prior to the star test. So the year before this, I guess it would be Oh, that should say 2425 data. So that's a typo on my part. That's 2425 data. So in 23 24 on the star test in third grade math our students were at 46% of them were at

051meets their master's grade level. Okay. So that first um horizontal line you see on the bottom there is 48%. So that would have been a reasonable goal for last year. Uh the red shows you the beginning of the year map in September and then in January for middle of the year and the blue shows you the start in run that I referenced earlier. And each of those tests give you a projection for how many students are going to meet or master. And so that kind of shows you what what the projections were showing us last year. And then the green column shows where we ended up. So last year we were at 62% meets or masters. Um and one thing I kind of learned going through this analysis was it may not be the most

052accurate for projecting approaches and masters but for me the star in fairly accurate. Um so I just wanted to give you that context. That second line horizontal line at the top is our goal for this year. So that's 64%. >> [snorts] >> If you flip to the next page, uh, we've got two of those data points so far. The September 25, they're going to give you a map test. It the I don't know how the AL algorithm works, but it projected that we're at 28.6, which of course was alarming. Uh but last week we took the star interim for math and that has predicted at 67% which is more consistent with what we've been seeing in the classroom for third grade. Uh a testament to the work that the teachers have done between the September

053and December. Um so I just wanted to give you a background show you what we're looking at for this year's data for third graders. And then if you go to the last page, um this kind of shows you these kids over the years. So the the benefit of having map is we can kind of track certain things over time and we can look for trends at the macro level. So this dates all the way back to when we started doing the map test here. I guess it was uh 23 22 23. >> Yeah. January. >> Yeah. So, we have we don't have beginning of year tester testing for when they were in kinder, but we have middle of year testing. And it breaks it up into quile, so five different sections. And so, the way

054we measure it on this data, since we don't have STAR test, the closest thing that aligns to meet or masters are kids that are in the 61st percentile or higher. So, this shows you where this class was and has been every single time they've taken the math test since they were in kindergarten. It's a nationally norm test. So, with all things being equal, that number really shouldn't change if you have average teachers and average kids. Um, that should stay the same. But ideally, we feel like we have better than average teachers and we want that number to go up over time. This also shows you the breaks between what grades they were in. So that's kindergarten year, that's first grade year, second grade year, and then the first data point for third grade here. So

055those are the types of reports that that I look at kind of look at trends and kind of see when we're talking about vertical alignment and math curriculum and people using different resources. These are the type of data points that we'll look at. Uh this data is not helpful to teachers, however. So when teachers are analyzing this data to make sure that we're moving kids forward, they're digging deeper in this star interim, and they can actually pull question by question, see what percentage of their kids got that question right, what T gets aligned to, and if they had, you know, say 80% of kids got it right, okay, we feel pretty good about that readiness standard. If we're at 38% got this one right, when you look at the question, do a retach either on

056the standard or vocabulary or kind of breaking down why did the kids miss this question. So that's the teacher uh the the data that the teachers use. But this is kind of the macro data that that I look at to kind of see if we're going in the right direction. Do you have any questions about this? Uh, I will note on this one that, you know, we we may have 60s something kids in third grade now, but only 30 or 40 of them were here in kindergarten. So, that was interesting. I should have noted that on there, but >> Yes, sir. Thanks. Now we have our upcoming meetings and events that we have. I will be more cafeteria for a couple of reasons using that cafeteria in case it goes on aware of it. That's

057the primary reason keep it set up so it's not as much uh put together and tear down every month. That'll help that. So, you'll notice that in January starting, it'll say elementary business card. That's going to be in that cafeteria at the hotel. And uh we'll have our January theme on Thursday 27th and we'll start with a board recognition dinner at 6:00. The actual meeting will start at 7 scholarship. you'll be able to see the investments that have been made over the last few years. Uh in the last report, you all receive about what scholarships have been doing. And so you'll see quite a bit on the internet that came down and uh then we'll start a regular board meeting. Um and then we'll have um the same thing on the February meeting 6:00, same

058place. In March, we'll do that again. And then in April and May, we'll start at 5. Not set in stone. If you can't make it, that's okay. We can push everything back. We both need to have workshops budget for the next school year. And it just makes sense to have them forward. So, we're going to try to be at 5:00 April and in May before the 6:00 on those dates. And then uh graduation is the 22nd at 8 p.m. and that's all the second that Thursday for January as we get closer to the 5:00 times for the budget workshop. If that doesn't work, let me know. It's pretty important that we're all there so that you can see the big items that we want to add to the budget make decisions on certain lights on

059the media lights. >> [clears throat] >> We did have a we had a panel discussion that we had at our first academy there was really good everybody together. Uh we're very interested and a lot of interest in advocating positivity about the district and learning about how I really touch education or ways they positively not only positively impact on their experience district. So that was that was very and yeah people asking questions it was good opportunity to uh connect with some people for that group to connect. Um, you know, I've already seen very positive um, you know, um, social media posts come out and some folks talking about it just, you know, actually, you know, say this, this is why I'm doing it. If you have questions and I can be your comment into it and

060you know, I want more people to know the information out there that was accurate. Yeah. Anyway, that was as we said that night was a great idea. uh has a lot of lot of interest and the important thing is you know people go through it that they they get something out of it you know it's positive I know that's what happened quick shout out to Heather thank you very much easy task but you did fantastic very consent agenda is There's two discussion consideration. I make a motion to approve. We got a motion second. All those in favor say I. >> I pass as we've already done 8A. Move the item 8 B. consider approval to accept work return from symmetry sports construction and move forward with the project. So, a reminder, we asked our long-term

061facility committee to rank all of the projects that we needed the remaining bond money. We had about $8.5 million left in bond funds. And right up there, right after uh the restrooms was the turf project for the softball for football and baseball. projected that to come in at 3.2 million, but it came in less than that. If you look at your handout, your workflow, it starts on second page 37. And each one of them has a breakdown of exactly what it will look like and what's included in your workbook. And in the end the final project price or something halfway in the middle 31. So was it everything we wanted? No, it was all of the turf and it had some there is 3.145 812 and then we're going to have that like was said

062earlier that the back of the baseball and this will give us years and years of a safe playing service for our for our student athletes. We'll also be able to host tournaments and we'll have very few rain out. Right now, we're having to to cancel so many games, move around with him on the weekends. It's just it's all to deal with and we'll be able to avoid that. And now this also includes the the football field. We've had the football field for 8 years. It was supposed to last 10, but we play on it more than what the average is. We're always planning until December and so it just has wor itself out of gone. And so I would ask that you all would approve the uh the items as I presented them to give

063us a turf field for the baseball and softball and we turf the football field for 3.145 million. Any discussion? Uh on uh just for clarification, you mentioned back stop which is the ad. So is it 31? Is that >> No, I was with a different company significantly cheaper than I think it was 10,000 total, but it's the exact same product. So we just we went ahead and priced it out separately. And we're also putting up I think cinder blocks on bottom. That's what we decided. So it looks nice. It look really nice. Okay. So that's okay. Motion. I'll make a motion to accept the proposed turf. Second. Got a motion second. All those in favor say I. >> I. Any opposed? Item 8 C. Consider approval to move forward with the roofing project for GSD

064[clears throat] campus. Starting on page 55. I sent this to you separately earlier in the week. This includes the warranty information that is requested. Each one of these three products that I'm going to present tonight come with a limited lifetime warranty. Uh what that means is that we do exactly what we need to and if we have damage we get repaired uh within the time frame that they have and they keep working on it. Um they're all better products than we currently have right now. what we've been replacing it with having residential shingles. And that was what we were planning on doing initially, but now we've decided that we're going to look at category 4 shingles. The first product is a commercial grade category 4 shingle and it will withstand quarter in hail. The wind

065rating on it isn't very good. It's it's about 60 m per hour sustain. Uh it's still a thicker shingle. It's a good product. A lot of office uh retail office shots and things uh go with this shingle. And if we go with that, it's $443,000. The second product is the same category 4, but it's a lot heavier. It'll have more of a uh there's fewer pieces to it and it's also glued down even more. And so that product is $522,000 and it's rated to quarter inch hail and 100 mph winds the same. So we probably won't have any more shingle blown off if we look at that option. And the third option um we had priced this earlier and the price had actually gone down. We is all metal roof and it's the seams and

066when we had the first coat it was almost $1.1 million. now is coming in just under a million at 999 uh $783. Those are the three options. I think we should discuss it and that way we can make the best decision for us now. As far as warranties go, which one's the best? They're all the exact same warranty. Um the metal if you get hail damage there there's no warranty for it. Just a good look being done. >> Right. >> Twice as much. >> But twice as much. Right. I think right away I think that was the wrong decision. I think we we save the money and go the category for products that are limited to life. >> Yeah. That's my my recommendation to you. >> Yeah. My initial thought was not to because again

067this was we're not able we we had asked out of pocket to correct facility. Uh it's going to come out of the facility bond the left tax. >> Right. Um, I can go over that real fast. It took most of the money to pay for this project is coming out of the administrative building. Okay? >> So, everybody's clear, we we're re doing the administrative building, and it's still going to be wonderful. It's still going to be nice. It's going to be everything we need spacewise, but some of the memorabilia that I was going to have built in there. We'll just have to wait on until we a few years later, we'll get that stuff still. So, it's good. And the parking lot will be significantly smaller on the new building. I was building it out

068for the future already, but instead of doing that, we're just going to do what we need right now and and that'll help pay for this as well. And the furniture took about $140,000 out of the furniture for the new building. What we'll do is use the existing furniture we currently have and then whenever we build out the whole building and we want to furnish the whole thing, then we'll get matching furniture at one time, right? So we're not putting it nice furniture now and then we can't find the matches stuff. So the only I mean so the difference between option one option two on the shingles on the yeah shingles is less than $8,000 >> right the win rating >> and so two you know you're considerably higher rating >> the guy from the roofing

069company said if it was his he' go with the first option but he understands this with the slope of the roof and all the damage we've had over the years he understands reason why we want to go to the second one. >> Yeah. Um I don't have a preference. I think they're both very good options. I think that we'll be happy. We'll either one or we can take care of we see some damage on the wind. Uh for the first option, we call them out. They'll fix it. We'll have some cost of that along the way. We do that though won't avoid the warranty. I I don't have a preference. Would you have the money to to go with the second option if that be court's preference? Do you have a preference? The only thing

070I would say is the reason why we've had to redo this roof multiple times is from winds. Um I'm not sure exactly how much like what it took with those residential I mean they're they're residential shingles. So, you can have 30 mph winds and start to have issues. Um, but if they both have the same warranty, um, you know, I'm not sure if calling them out to repair things would add up to what a higher wind rating machine would be over the lifetime of the roof. Um, just kind of have to consider. I will tell you the look of the more expensive one, it when it's up there, it'll look almost like a wood shingle. You'll from a distance think we have a nice real expensive wood shingled roof, although it's not. So, I think

071for the aesthetics of it, you all will like the the more expensive one, the way it looks better. >> The less expensive one will look exactly like what we have on there right now. difference. >> It looks like your standard shingle on shingle residential roof just plumber runs. >> We can't go wrong either way. Um we go with the the less expensive option. It does allow us to put some more things back in the admin building that we were taking out which is fine. Uh we but then again we might have M maintenance repair costs along the way over the years that we have to fix right away before we would have warranted and that's going to hit our budget whenever we have limited to go with the more expensive one again it's glued down

072it's very heavy the product is I I held that it's significantly heavier than even than the other one and it's going to be glued down as well you know I personally like to say the higher option just Mr. made a good point with having the additional cost. If something does get in your repair, it may add up to being higher at some point that may actually get the higher for. So, >> is there any benefit to having that thicker shingle from just an installation standpoint or anything like that? >> He did say there was it has the exact same R value >> R value. And then the uh all of these come with the ice and water shield barrier on the peaks and the valleys all the places we're doing. So that was already something

073we requested build that into all the estimates. >> Does any of that affect our insurance plans? >> I don't know. That's a good point. But once they're in, we had to have task come back out of it, show them what we purchased. Very well could. Another district uh had a lot of claims. their premiums and duct open up like ours have and uh and then they reevaluate and went back down. So very well. We don't know until it's on there. They come out and look that insurance. Sir, >> oh I was just tell Stacy she was asking I don't know if Tasky does like home insurance um costs go down because it's new. U Tasky works a little differently. So, um I'm not sure. I can find out. >> I do have some of the

074numbers as far as insurance what the the claims how much insurance is going to be able to pay out. Go ahead and share that. >> Okay. Um so, the first the big one is I don't know if you've been asked to pay off those. We're going to talk about here in a second is the lights. Um that wind event we had back in September I believe it was maybe late August blew some of the lights that they're misaligned. There's five or six of them that a couple of them were pointing back towards the att shop. Couple pointing just straight up but also rattles some of the filaments inside of them and so those lights are out. Um Ty will pay the entire price for that. There's no deductible for that. um the fence on the

075softball fence that we actually replaced because we needed to anyways. Um they're going to pay out $4,515 for that project we've already done. Um and then for the roof, um because of the deductible on the building, um the roof project, they will pay out $18,541. Um, but after we have a signed contract for a new roof, um, we'll get the depreciation out of the old one, which is 38,855. So, we're going to get a total of about just shy of $160,000 from tax on all the insurance. >> And that's all taking into account the numbers for the administration building. >> No, I didn't take any of that into account. Um the the lights by themselves, you'll find out that $97,000 is $100,000 and they're paying $100,000. So um really it's just $50,000 back. I didn't

076add that back in. >> We'll probably just put that to the fund balance or >> Yeah, we'll get just shy of 50,000 if they don't. What what do we think our not holding to it um but you know we have plans for that panic building as another um classroom at some point. Um, I'm just trying to think about cuz when that happen that building, uh, doesn't mean you got to renovate the roof again, but we're going to put we're going to be renovating that building and putting kids in. I'm trying to justify spending an extra 20% on a roof that's higher knowing that I'm going to invest in building. Well, I don't think there's uh besides right from taking care of all the mold and water damage. Yeah, a lot of that has been taken

077care of. I think that they're out there besides the tile. >> Yeah. They're they're trying to match the flooring flooring. We're trying to find something that's very similar with the entire flooring and one of the rooms. >> We are looking at some termite damage. We don't know how much that cost is going to be on >> besides those couple of things. And then we're going to be back in the building because we were talking about what if something's happening then event happens and we're not around so people see and then the damage would be it would be really high. Um the the big cost is going to be the gym floor. Right now it's buff and getting in there and fixing that's going to be expensive. But we whenever it's time to put kids back

078in there we'll figure that out. I I don't know that there's going to be a lot of work needed to to put kids back in there. If we want it to look bright and shiny and new, it would be a lot of money, but to put students back in there to make it what I plan on on having, I don't think we'll have to spend a lot of money. some paint, some uh pockets. Yeah, I think I think there would be some It's good to hear that there's not structure, but I think there would need to be some cosmetic. Um, you know, just people want to build a nice shiny school. I don't know how long that that gym board's been buckled. I have no idea. But it's it's pretty significant. It's got a peak

079on it that's at least 2 and 12 in tall. Okay. >> So, it's buckled. And so, I' I've been in situations where we've been able to go in there, cut some of it, flatten it out, sand it, repaint it, and it's cheaper than other situations I've seen where it's really rotted out. They have to put new slats in. It won't need a whole floor, but some sessions. Pretty significant. So, I would say up to probably $70,000 for the floor just to get it ready and then probably another $100,000 for everything else in the whole building. If we have if we put back $250,000 for the bond funds before we exhaust it all and just earmark that and say that's going to be just for going back into that school. That'd probably be wise to us.

080Well, in that case,000 beer will be help kickstart that right that that would again if we're if we're talking about two options um again it may have been so may I don't know six or >> don't forget the lowest option I'm presenting to you the The shingle itself is four times thicker than what we currently have on the building or we're ever having that on that building. >> Okay. Significant improvement just because we're buying a better product. Okay. >> So, it's not a bad option. >> Yeah. >> They did present one of us uh lower and they were going to and I told not to bother because we have to go with that. >> They don't want to be sitting here four years from now. That's right. That's right. Let's go. I want to make

081a motion. Approve the roofing project. Make a motion to approve the the second $53,000. Second. Have a motion to second. All those in favor say I. I opposed. >> How would how do anybody else say I >> I'll find savings somewhere else. Don't even worry about it because we have we have other projects that we have on that. >> No, that's fine. I thought we honestly I thought we were leaving the other day, but Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I I was originally I was okay with the second option, but then we started talking about setting aside money here money for what we know we're going to have to do and this would $80,000 or kickstart that. So, but it's okay. So, I'm I'm I'm good. If everybody else is okay with that, >> I'll be the

082honest part of it is the study building. If it's going to be nicer looking and that's a building we're going to keep around then that does matter I feel like in this community. So that's part of it plus the wind. I know we don't get the mile wind very often here but >> we have lately we've had the last two months >> standing outside of that cross when it felt like 100 miles. >> Yes. And my early numbers for Tiger Lane extension are coming in not the city will have approved those lower numbers, but they're coming in less than what I anticipated. So there's some savings there. As long as we approve them, >> we're good for good. I think it's a great option. I think we'll see lower maintenance and repair cost over time.

083We won't realize the same. We won't know what would have been happening, but that's option. So no name over there. So yes, I think that's >> okay. Option two. Yes, ma'am. Abd, consider approval of the baseball and softball lighting quote from symmetry. Okay, this is the uh if you'll look at page 73 71 through 73, it's the whole scope of the work. And on page 73, you'll see the uh the quote there for $97,750. [clears throat] And that is to fix the lights, replace the fixtures for 10 of them that were damaged by the wind. And Tasky has already approved and reimbursing us for this entire quote. And so, um, once you approve it this evening, we'll get them out here, get the word done ahead of the softball season. So, that's my recommendation. Any

084discussion? I'll take a motion. I'll make a motion to approve the lighting upgrade or repair. Sorry. We got a motion second for item 8. All those in favor say I. I. Any opposed? Item passes. Item AE. Consider approval of this Ming at the high [clears throat] school campus. All right. So, this came in uh today. They're looking over it. Um if you turn to the second to last page >> a hand out everybody hand out place on everybody's desk. Uh proposal form for RFP 2515 um 670 ft of new 6 in or sorry 6T buckle twist chain fence um uh to basically surround any sorry >> the second to last page it builds up to it >> and you can follow along. >> Go ahead. Okay. Um, to get us compliant with new school safety

085standards in Texas, we have to have anywhere students in the in the normal course of the day, anywhere they could be walking has to be enclosed with non-scalable events. Right now, we're not in compliance with that >> or they have to be supervised by the >> Yes. which we do. Uh so [clears throat] uh to get us in compliance with that and just you know this the safety standards we need to meet um it's going to require 670 ft of 6 ft uh KT knuckle choice chain link fencing um that is going to basically surround everywhere from the turf building um up to the baseball uh batting cages and then it's going to come down here go all the way around and basically encompass this whole open area right here. Um along the way, we've

086also got several steel gates that are going to go in. And these are going to be uh black steel fences, not chain link fences. These are solid um fences with swinging gates um right here. Um so that we can get trucks in for the uh kitchen. Um swinging gates um over next to where the ad building is. Um behind the stadium, we're going to have a nicer gate there. Um and then uh we also are going to be putting in some uh the six foot custom line uh fencing panels are going to go like where the ticketing booth is. So as people come to the football games, it has a little bit nicer aesthetic um with a big steel gate there instead of that kind of high pie fence we have there. Um all the

087chaining there that's not out into spec is going to get redone up to the 6T spec. Um, and then it also the rolling gate uh behind uh the football field that's going to get built up to 6T with chain link on it. Right now it's easy to just step over that. Uh we have another rolling gate that doesn't get used anymore. That's going to get taken out. Fencing's going to get completed there and they're going to put in a rolling fence uh for the cur foot to tire put in. Um so the bid came into a total of $45,725. Um and uh that is we've had other companies have come out and kind of just given us estimates of what it is. This has come in at less money than what they've given us for

088estimates as well uh for the exact same scope of work. I did call references uh for Onyx Construction Group today. I got a hold of a couple of them. They said they've done great work communications. been good. They've all stayed on budget on a time for the project. >> Local, right? Vanos. >> Yes, sir. Vanity. >> Yes. And they've done work for the city of Charmin, the city of Parker, um, and one other smaller municipality. >> You called the cities for references. >> Yes. >> Any idea what kind of controllers we're going to use on those beats? They said we're not going to have the controllers um right now. Those were taken out. Um or operator. Yes. Originally we were going to have the uh operators in there. Um but those are those would add

089um you know close to $20,000 to it. So right now they're going to be all manual. So I um the project originally started with also closing the back of the stadium, making it look really nice, closing it in, making it storage and all that. That was number six on all the items the committee gave me was last. So instead of going ahead and getting that done before we even know the price and other things like the bathrooms for sure. I just said let's take that out and while we're at it for now let's go ahead and take out all the >> all the motive stuff. It can be added later. We have the money later. Right now we can get out there and we can open a gate. >> Totally. That's what we're doing. It's

090going to look nice. It's going to be safe for the kids. But we're going to actually use our our motor then open it up. >> Yeah. The only one that would ever really have to be used all that often would be at cur foot. We could have the bus drivers as they're leaving out open that up for the mornings because that's where traffic will be at. When the buses come back, they close it. The same thing in the afternoon closed in the middle of the day not being used. It's just cut through. So what's the what's the amount that we're considering right now? 45,000 on those and it says with operator, >> right? Uh we bid it out. He walked him around and he walked around and showed it all cuz uh we we got

091this the scope of the work was put out for RFP before we before I changed my mind and said get rid of all the operators and then whenever everybody who wanted a packet got a packet walked the facility with Mr. launch and they were told specifically we're not doing the operator. So whenever this this is what he submitted back to us the wording on our end changed but he submitted this back to us by 10 a.m. today when it closed and it still has the wording on here. It's not going to have that >> it will not throw it in for that price then that's great. But this is $18,000 cheaper than their competitor. And um and adding all of that was another 25 or $30,000. And I didn't Right now, we just need to

092save the money so that we make it all last. We get all the the projects that everybody wants done. And and I hadn't even considered putting money back for the uh for the annex and the students back into it. So that's >> Yeah, that's actually a good idea. Yeah, >> you got balance with all the other, you know, we again I think we're looking to put students back there at least for the next several years, couple, you know, few years, but till so till there's no rush, but we ought to start thinking. So, uh, so as long as we're as close, we're confident that they can do the work and they can perform. I mean, I'm glad that they're so much less expensive than the competitors as long as they're competent. >> Yeah, that's why

093I make sure I check references. >> Are they using the same material as the other company? >> Probably less of an overhead. He has a a smaller business. >> Mhm. >> And you're starting out pretty new, but there are references in check. So, my recommendation is we go ahead and approve the purchase of this fencing for $45,725. >> Make a motion to accept the bid of 35725. >> Got a motion second. All those in favor say I. >> Any opposed? It passes. Item 8F, consider approval to adopt resolution 04-26 regarding authorized entity representatives for the current trust. Page 74 of your packet. This is just that uh it is putting me on the on to act on your behalf for the Kurwood scholarship. So, I'm on the financial statements app. I was able to interact

094with the uh the organization that we have managing it. What's the what are they called again? Gail Hutter. I can't think of the organization. >> Well, so I would ask my recommendation is that you approve that as presented. Resolution 4-26. So move second. >> Got a motion to second. All those in favor say I. I. >> Any opposed? Items passes. Uh, next the board will now adjourn into executive session proceeding to the following section of Texas voting meetings act. Texas governance code section 551.072 discussing land 551.074 discussing personnel and 551.076 discussing safety and the time is 7:46. You all have the chocolate enjoy. >> [laughter]
