This regular meeting of the Marshall Independent School District Board of Trustees is hereby called to order. Let the record show that a quorum of members is present and that this meeting has been called in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551. We wish to extend a warm welcome to everyone who's present at this meeting. This is a regular meeting and all items that will be discussed or voted on this evening have been posted as required by state law. On behalf of the Marshall ISD Board, we are pleased that you have joined us as we celebrate achievement, set goals, listen to reports, approve budgets, contracts, and personnel appointments, as well as make policy for the district. We are not here to make management decisions or to solve the problems of individuals.

Management is the responsibility of the superintendent. This is a meeting in the public, not a meeting of the public. You are our guest and you are welcome to observe and listen. If you wish to address the board in the public comment comment portion of the agenda, please fill out the public comment form found on the back table just outside the entrance and return the completed form to the superintendent board secretary Jessica Scott. We are pleased that you have taken the time to join us this evening and we thank you again for your interest in the Marshall Independent School District. Someone like to open us in prayers we get started this evening. >> Let us pray everyone. Let us pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we just thank you so much God for this time together on such

a beautiful day. And God we thank for we are so thankful for each person here this evening because we realize that each one of us is a blessing uniquely created by you dear Heavenly Father. We gather here Lord Jesus and we are so thankful as board members. Thank you for calling us together. It is our privilege and responsibility dear Lord to support, foster, and advance this mission of the Marshall Independent School District. And Lord we want you to know today that we accept this task, but we accept this with total dependence upon you. For it is you Lord who began this work and it's you Lord who will guide it and you Lord who will bring it to fulfillment. So Lord we ask you this evening to open our hearts to recognize your presence among

us. Open our minds to respond to your calling. Be with us dear Lord in all of our deliberations and help us make decisions of all who have put their trust in this board and our leadership. And Lord God I would like to just send up a special prayer. We come before you this afternoon Lord Jesus with heavy hearts and we're lifting up those eight precious babies Lord who lost their lives. And we ask Lord Jesus and we're praying for the students, families, and friends asking this evening for your peace and strength to surround them during this this most difficult time dear Heavenly Father. We surrender to your will. We trust in your plan and your unfailing love. Be with us Lord throughout this entire meeting. This is in Jesus name that we ask it all.

Thank God and amen. >> Amen. Thank you, Ms. Fisher. We will now have our pledges. Will you please stand with us? >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Now the Texas flag. >> Honor the Texas flag. I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state under God, one and indivisible. >> All right, you may be seated. We will now have our district achievement. Dr. Langley. I don't want to miss the 26, 27 campus teachers of the year. Ms. Carlisle is going to help with that also. >> Yes, going to help with that. Yes, we're going to start with our campus achievement. We have an extra mile award. We have two

of those tonight. And for our extra mile presentations this month, we're going to recognize educators from our G A E P. So, Mr. Knox, he is our director of the G A E P. Will you COME STAND HERE? FAVORITE LEADERS GOOD EVENING, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. IN ADDITION, WE'RE ALSO GOING TO recognize educators from Marshall Early Graduation School. So, who is Mr. GARY HANCOCK? SO, YOU MAY JUST NOTICE ME, BUT IT doesn't have Marshall Early Graduation School. And we have how many graduated from here this year? >> 85. ALL RIGHT. WHAT I'M GOING TO DO NOW IS I'm going to ask Ms. Marvetta Jackson to please come forward. Where is she? JACKSON? >> LOOKS SURPRISED. >> ONE MORE TIME. NOW, LISTEN. I'M GOING TO READ this nomination from Robert Knox, our campus director at the AEP.

It is very rare to find someone in a school setting who delivers the willingness to go the extra mile. In every school, there are tasks that must be completed and responsibilities that must be filled. But what sets individuals apart or elevates a team from good to exceptional is the commitment to do more than what is required. Marvetta Jackson serves as administrative assistant for the AEP campus. I have the privilege of witnessing her dedication at many levels. I see it in the person who stays a little longer to ensure accuracy, in the colleague who offers help without being asked, and in the team member who takes initiative to solve problems before they escalate. These actions may seem small, but collectively they shape the culture and success of our campus. Going the extra mile is not about

working longer hours, et cetera. It is about working with purpose. It is about paying attention to detail, anticipating needs, and striving for excellence even when no one is watching. It is about taking ownership and pride in what we do. Ms. Jackson understands this better than most. She takes time to counsel some students who have any issues and will go beyond that to provide a need they may be lacking. She prides herself in being understanding and solution-driven. She will step in and supervise a class students when she is short assist with the searches and parent orientations. She doesn't see a job description. She sees work that has to be done no matter if we have one or all on board. Her dedication to the campus and school district is a great example of what going the

extra mile means. Thank you, Mrs. Jackson, for all that you do to ensure the success of our students AND STAFF. AND WE ARE VERY thankful to Juicy for providing you WITH A $50 >> THANK YOU. >> YOU'RE WELCOME. ALL RIGHT, YOU stand right here and we'll take pictures later. All right, neighbor. Mr. Hancock is the best of this city and the mayor. He had a lot to be a gifted PERSON HERE. >> TIME FLIES, TIME FLIES. >> NEXT, I'LL READ THE nomination for Jerry Hancock, principal at Marshall Early Graduation School. And at this time, I would like to see Mrs. PRISCILLA COOK. ONE IN A MILLION. THERE'S NO OTHER way to describe this person. When we talk about an above and beyond performance, we're talking about her. I probably recognize Mrs. Cook for minutes for

the above and beyond award. Mrs. Cook is in charge of our 18 plus program at Meg for THE 18 PLUS SHE IS THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT DOESN'T JUST GET TO know her students, but she becomes their mama and lives life with them. She is an excellent joy to work with every day. Mrs. Cook looks out for everyone, adults and students, at Meg. We can always count on her for a smile and a kind word. MISD is blessed to have her. We are all better people at Meg every day because Mrs. Cook, who also happens to be a proud member of the class of 1983 graduate, UH UH DOES A FANTASTIC JOB EVERY DAY. Thank you, Mrs. Cook, for going the extra mile for our STUDENTS AT MEG. I'LL GET HER AND YOUR UH COOL

AWARD there for that. And I think that we're going to take some pictures now. Judy, you and I feel like we all HAVE EACH OTHER. SHE'S GOT ATTITUDE, I KNOW. I THINK YOU GOT OH. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. JUDY. YES. YOU TELL THEM THEY'RE TALKING TO I DON'T KNOW HOW EVERYBODY gets to didn't, every every one. I MEAN WELL, CUZ YOU'RE ALWAYS THEY ALWAYS sit on them kind of loose and all. >> Good evening. >> I'm proud to present the 2027 Marshall ISD Campus Teachers of the Year. That might look like a typo, but that's something that is set by TEA. So, 2027 is correct. We're so thankful for and proud of these educators for their dedication to their students. Teachers, as your name is called, please come up to the front and

grab your certificate and flowers and stay standing until the end so that we can get a photo. Special thanks to our floral design students for their work on our beautiful bouquets this evening. So, without further ado, see if I can work this. Representing Little Maverick Academy, WE HAVE SHELBY STEPHENS. FROM MARSHALL EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER, JOANNA DAVIDSON. >> THANK YOU SO MUCH. THANK YOU. >> From David Crockett Elementary School, BRITTANY LONG. FROM PRICE T. YOUNG FINE ARTS ACADEMY, REBECCA NICKLE. FROM SAM HOUSTON STEM ACADEMY, BRITTANY HAGAN. >> FROM WILLIAM B. TRAVIS Elementary School, AZUCENA ARZATE. EXCUSE ME, TO TO ALL OF the principals except for Ms. Johnson, thank you for BEING SO PROFESSIONAL. FROM MARSHALL JUNIOR High School, ELIZABETH MASON. FROM MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL, KAREN REED. FROM MARSHALL EARLY Graduation School, DANIEL OSBORNE. LAST BUT NEVER

LEAST, D A P EVELYN EPPS. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN. WE will grab a picture and I believe the board will come by and shake your hand. Yeah, they'll give you a pat on the shoulder. Congratulation. All right. >> Better duck Brad. I'll do some more. >> Brad in the middle. >> Thank y'all for coming. I wondered why all the CARS WERE HERE. >> NEXT ONE'S A >> SO I PULLED INTO THE PARKING LOT. I WAS ON THE phone with a lawyer and I go, "Oh." So I go, "Snowboard meet the parking lot's full. That's a bad sign." >> To Adam two, the report of continuing education training for the MISD Board of Trustees. I have a report that I have to read. Under the State Board of Education rule, completing required continuing education each year of service

is a basic obligation and expectation of any sitting board member. As Board President, I am required to announce the name of each member who has who as of that member's anniversary of election or appointment to the board has completed the required continuing education, has exceeded the required continuing education, or who is deficient in meeting the required continuing education. For team building, every board member completed this training on December the 2nd, 2025. Cyber security, every board member has completed this training. Post legislative update to TEC, every board member completed this training. Child abuse prevention, every board member completed this training. Evaluating and improving student outcomes, not required this year. School safety is also not required this year. Met or exceeding required continuing education. Brad Burris exceeded the required amount of continuing education training by 1 hour.

Betty Fishy Betty Fisher exceeded the required amount of continuing education training by 12 hours. Ted Huffhines exceeded the required amount of continuing education training by 1 hour. Lee Lewis exceeded the required amount of continuing education training by 1 hour. Kathy Marshall exceeded the required amount of continuing education training by 1 hour. Rudy Medina also exceeded the required amount of continuing education by 1 hour. And Mr. Palmer exceeded the required amount of continuing education by 1 hour. This completes my report. Now we're on to Dr. Langlish's report. >> Yes. Um just a couple of things. First of all, I want to make sure that um let our our general public, everybody in this room, know for Farm City Week, which is always a huge It's kind of like a drum roll kind of thing. Um our

MISD FFA students and our MISD 4-H students. The reason I separate that is because if you're too young to be in FFA, then you're 4-H, but you still go to Marshall Independent School District. Those students together earned $178,990 this year. So, we are very excited about that. I will be bragging about that on KMHT in the morning, just to make sure everybody knows about that. Another thing I will be bragging about, Miss Kathy Bell, will you stand up back there? There she is. Uh you know, she's our director at Little Mav Academy, which is one of the best, if not the best uh day schools in Marshall. Well, um Little Mav Academy has received four-star certified program per Texas Rising Star qualifications, and that means they got as high of a score as they could

get under director and staff qualifications, teacher and children interactions, program administration, and indoor and outdoor environment. So, THANK YOU SO MUCH. PHENOMENAL PHENOMENAL UH DAY SCHOOL over there. So, thank you so much for doing that. >> Is that it? >> That's it. >> Okay. Moving along to our consent agenda action items, those are our normal monthly items. They're available for >> Mhm. >> you to review. >> I make a motion we approve the consent agenda the consent agenda items as presented. >> Second. >> We have a motion by Mr. Palmer and a second by Ms. Fisher. All those in favor, please say aye. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? The motion carries. Moving along to matters of prime board discussion and action, item one is considering to approve submission of TEA waivers for missed

school days and low attendance. Dr. Craig. >> Good evening. >> I have any flowers or anything. So, this evening I want to present an overview of the instructional disruptions um we had this school year and our plan to make sure that we remain compliant um with the TEA requirements without extending the school year for your consideration approval tonight. So, we experienced two major disruptions this school year. We had 3 days of inclement weather from January 26th through January 28th. And then we had a city-wide water system failure from March 17th through March 19th, which resulted in a local disaster declaration. And then additionally on the 20th, our attendance was 69% due to that continued impact of the water outage. So, in total, we missed six instructional days. Two of those were absorbed within our calendar.

And so, when you look at this slide, despite the disruptions and all the days that we missed, our instructional calendar still remains strong. So, based on our PEIMS calculation with operational minutes, we had a total of 78,394 minutes, which exceeds the state requirement of 75,600 minutes. So, this places us 1,856 minutes above the required threshold. And so, moving into our waiver plan to address these remaining impacts, we're submitting two waivers to TEA. The first one is a missed school day waiver for January 28th, for March 17th through March 19th. And then the second waiver is a low attendance waiver for March the 20th. So, again, the first 2 days were absorbed within our calendar and no makeup days or calendar changes are needed to address those days. And so, this confirms that we are fully

compliant within our instructional minute requirements even after counting those missed days. So, required is 75,600 and our actual minutes were 78,394. So, our next steps moving forward we'll submit those waivers, monitor the TEA approval process, and we should be able to maintain our instructional calendar. So, we do not anticipate any other disruptions to our instructional operations. So, at this time we're requesting board approval to proceed with those waiver submissions. This ensures compliance while maintaining stability for our student staff and and student staff and families. >> Okay. >> Any questions? >> No, ma'am. Thank you. We'll entertain a motion on that. >> So moved. >> Second. >> I have a motion by Mr. Lewis, second by Mr. Palmer Palmer. All those in favor, please say aye. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? That motion carries.

>> Okay. Thank you. >> Item two is to consider and approve the program manager for continuing MISD bond program projects. Mr. Chilcoat. >> Hello. >> Uh I'd like to have you guys consider selecting Lockwood Andrews & Newman as our uh continuing program manager for our upcoming projects. Uh of course, they were our original contract program manager for the bond originally. Uh and we are requesting additional work authorization for paint and renovation projects, flooring projects, parking lot projects. This will come out of excess bond proceeds. >> I I just would like to say just publicly how wonderful those folks have been and how good Scotty has been and I mean, I don't think we could have achieved some of the success we've achieved in our bond programs without Scotty and Land. So, >> I agree. They've

done a great job for us. >> Mhm. >> I I'd make a motion we approve, for sure. >> Second. >> I have a motion by Mr. Palmer, second by Mr. Lewis. All those in favor, please say aye. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? Motion carries. >> And we're excited cuz we're getting ready get that athletic parking lot redone. >> Yes, that will be much much needed. Moving along to education, item one is considering to approve the 2026-2027 instructional instructional material allotment and TEKS certification. Dr. Craney. >> This consideration and approval is for the 2026-2027 certification of provision of instructional materials. This is an annual requirement that confirms all of Marshall ISD students have access to instructional materials aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and that the district is remaining compliant with the

Children's Internet Protection Act. And so the supporting documentation shows the commit the comprehensive review that we use across all content areas to ensure full coverage and access for every student. >> Okay. We'll entertain a motion on that item. >> So moved to approve the instructional materials allotment and TEKS certification. >> Second. >> Have a motion by Ms. Fisher and a second by Mr. Lewis. All those in favor, please say aye. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? Motion carries. Item two is considering to approve the district improvement plan alignment and refinement overview for 2026-2027. >> Hey, members, I want to present a proposed 2026-2027 district improvement plan centered around the work that we have been doing with Lasso Cycle 4 and our Lift grant. And so the purpose of of going through and revamping our

district improvement plan is to ensure alignment across our campus and focuses on student success. We want to make sure that we're strengthening instruction, leadership, and all of our support systems. So, with this being said, we have a visual that um Mr. Tyrone Robinson created from our CIA department. Um as we were creating this new um vision statement, and so this vision um anchors around um that we ensure rigorous grade level instruction, um strong leadership, aligned systems, and basically we're ensuring that we have coherence, clarity, and impact. And so, in the middle of that is our new uh vision statement, which reads, "Marshall ISD engages all stakeholders to ensure that every student consistently experiences rigorous, engaging, and grade level instruction grounded in high-quality instructional materials supported by leaders who develop and retain teachers who deliver aligned,

effective instruction that drives improved academic outcomes and long-term success." And so, this vision statement was um created and then revised amongst all of our campus and district leaders a couple of weeks ago um with our launch um our lift-off launch as we enter into this new phase of the grant. And so, with this new vision statement, um it requires us to go through and re-anchor our work. So, again, we want to make sure that we have that rigorous grade level instruction, um strong leadership, and that we really align our systems. Um to fully realize this vision, our systems of instructional practices, leadership systems, and campus actions must be aligned and coherent across the district. And so, we identified opportunities to improve that coherence and making sure that we have strong efforts um that we had

strong efforts, but um we also see that there was some areas that weren't aligned, and which led to inconsistency. And so, some of the things are changing um within our district for next year as well. We have started Blue Bonnet math, but we're also implementing Blue Bonnet reading. Some of our resources are also changing such as Abbott is is going to be really focused on secondary next year as well as Communities in Schools will be focused at the high school. And so we had all of those things throughout our district improvement plan, so we needed to go through and re-look at that. As well as it included several strategies like some of them had like 12 to 15 strategies and we want to make sure that if we have a plan, it is something that

we're actually doing. And so um we want to make sure that our plan is not so much focused on activities, but rather the impact and and how we're implementing that plan. And so the shift for this is going from like I said many initiatives and strategies to really focusing our priorities more so from moving from activities to ensuring that we have systems in place as well as looking at all the things that we're doing and ensuring compliance and that that compliance please does have impact to drive our student outcomes. And so this particular model here shows how everything is connected. We have you know, the first thing is that we want successful student outcomes, but we want the core is really focused on instruction. The engine is looking at how our data and our systems

work together and of course you can't do that without the people. So we want to make sure that our instruction is sound as well as having strong leadership and the work that we're doing within our human resource department with staffing and retention. And then the conditions of course we also look at school safety to ensure that we have a safe and supportive environment as well as the engagement piece with community engagement as well as our parents and our families. >> Bless you. >> And so if you look at how our system works, again this is taking everything from our campus needs assessments, our goal, leadership with effective schools framework, even the funding and our strategies to produce those student successful outcomes. And so all of these things are now aligned with our new proposed district

improvement plan. And so the goals pretty much, we still have four goals that that we are proposing and that is focused on instructional excellence. So looking at our teaching and our learning and our student support, looking at strategic staffing and leadership development, ensuring that we have that safe, supportive and effective learning environment as well as parent, family and community engagement. One of the things that we talked about in our vision statement is how we can get the community more involved and get the community to be more knowledgeable knowledgeable about the things that we're doing within the district. And so we spent some time talking about how we can really execute that vision statement and communicate that in chunks to our parents and to our community members. And so our campus leaders came up with some

great ways to make sure that we're executing that. And so again, we're going from really before we had a lot of activities, we had a lot of strategies. Some of those things were not really aligned. So as you can see from that visual, there's a combination of all these things. And so what starts to happen after two or three years is that we're just adding more strategies rather than going back and looking at what are we doing as a district to ensure that these things are cohesive. And so with this new proposed alignment to our district improvement plan, we have those four priorities that really shore up what we intend to do and leaves instruction as our primary focus. And so we know that if our tier one instruction is strong, everything else works better

with our curriculum. And then as well as we know that strong systems, we have to have the right people in place to implement them. And so with that with our instruction, we are looking at high quality instructional materials. And so that is through our math and reading Blue Bonnet that we are adopting. We started with I-Ready this year as well and so we'll continue with that as well as looking at our data. So this year our campus leaders will be trained on data-driven instruction and then always looking at ways to shore up our intervention systems. So along with our instruction, the rest of the aligned systems follows with having clear leadership systems in place. Making sure that we're focused on attendance and behavior, which we've started that this year with making sure that we are

meeting our attendance goals. And then again, the family engagement also is going to affect our CCMR, college and career military readiness as we get the community involved in our efforts as well. So again, what's different overall, we're going to have fewer strategies. The systems are going to be aligned and then there are going to be some clear outcomes moving forward with our district improvement plan. So we have a timeline of how we're working through this. Again, this is a proposal so then in September when we come back, you don't see like these plans are different. So we have from April to September. So I've already spoken with Dr. Lanely about revamping our district improvement plan. So she's looked through that and that's also attached in the board book. Um telling you all tonight so that

you are aware of how we plan to revamp and then also spending some time with our district improvement um committee. And we're going to look at our campus needs assessments, have them to approve and have an opportunity to further revise our goals um in a uh meeting that we're going to have this week actually. And then the phase two part of it will be the principal rollout with getting their leadership teams together um in our first leadership retreat in May and them actually drafting the rest of their campus improvement plans um that are aligned to our new district goals. And then the final phase will be requesting your approval in September um when we typically go over our SIPs and DIPs for the year. And so of course the impact is that from that is

that we want to make sure that we're constantly thinking of ways that we can improve achievement. We want stronger systems in place and we want better outcomes for our students. And so um the district improvement plan is a living breathing document as well as the campus improvement plan. And so as we are going through and really tightening up some of our strategies and ensuring that it's better aligned, um this rollout plan will ensure that our students are better served. So again, our aligned systems drive better results. Um so the theme that we came up with as we have started this lift launch is lifting excellence so that we can sustain our Maverick momentum. Any questions about the draft that we are proposing at this time? >> That's good. I like it. >> I know it's

a lot, but um you know, we haven't actually changed our mission statement and vision statement since I've been the superintendent here. Um thought about it a several times and but these are very well worded. I mean, they're concise. Um now what TEA is leading us to be to do and it does make sense is to not just make it concise, but to make it real and what we're really doing because what we do really isn't concise. It's There's a lot to it. And so we all got to work and we all being principals and uh curriculum people uh got to go to Region 7 and spend a significant amount of I guess 2 days uh working on this. And uh so these will be changing um when we start school next year. Uh the the

uh Maverick profile will not, the strategic plan, but the mission and vision statement will. And um we're really going to have a roll out within the community of letting people understand what all it is that we do without bombarding them and overwhelming them, but making sure that they really understand the work that we do a little bit better. >> Okay, that's great. Thank you, Dr. Crane. >> Thank you. >> Very good. >> Okay, we'll entertain a motion on approving that. >> Mhm. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Have a motion by Mr. Lewis, second by Ms. Fisher. All those in favor, please say aye. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? That motion carries. Moving on to finance, item one is considering approving wage payments during the district closing. Mr. Chucote? >> Uh as Dr.

Crane previously stated, there was a local state of disaster March 17th uh due to the water main break. Uh so I'd ask you to consider approve this resolution regarding wage payments for March 17th through 19th uh as DEA local states that we need to. >> Okay. >> Make a motion to approve. >> I second. >> Have a motion by Mr. Palmer, and a second by Ms. Fisher. All those in favor, please say aye. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? Motion carries. >> And we all thank you. >> Item two is considering approving engineering and surveying proposal for the parking lot renovation. >> Yes, as you can see here, the Five Notch parking lot behind Marshall High School is starting to fail. Um Is this on? It might not be. There we go. So, this

is are the two parking lots on the backside closest to the Boys and Girls Club and Five Notch Road. Um Both parking lots and then it's also affecting the canopy along the backside of the high school. Uh Brad, when was that wing built in that parking lot? >> 1987. >> Okay, 87 through 90. Okay. Uh so, as you can see here, water coming off the hill of Five Notch is starting to slope to the middle of the parking lot. So, the parking lot itself is starting to sink in the middle, which is pulling that sidewalk area and the canopy away from the school. Um >> So, it's sinking? >> Well, I'll show you pictures here. Yeah, this is two different spots back there. So, water was running underneath towards the high school and it even

goes underneath the high school down into the CTE area where we have pumps and things going, but it's starting to fail this back parking lot. Uh so, I'm asking you to consider Johnson and Pace, which is currently doing engineering work for the athletic parking lot, to look at this parking lot and begin drawings to help that help that area. Uh we're also asking them to look at that turning lane in the back. It's currently where our special ed students are dropped off and picked up by buses. They have a hard time turning left onto Five Notch out of that because it's such a tight turn. And then in the afternoon with all of the traffic coming through there, it's it we just want to widen that that exit and entrance. Uh as you can see,

the sidewalk was put in back in 87 to '90 as well. It's starting to fail. So, we would remove that sidewalk and add more lighting along Maverick. So, uh please consider these grading and drain- drainage improvements that Judson and Pace will begin to look into us. >> Okay. >> And that's paid for with bond funds, right? >> Correct. Bond budget excess proceeds. >> Okay. It is a little dark there, too. That'd be good to get some lighting. >> Yeah. >> like we have on the other side. >> We'll get it. >> Make a motion we approve as presented. >> Second. >> A motion by Mr. Palmer, second by Mr. Lewis. All those in favor, please say I. >> I. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? That motion carries. Item three is considering approving the purchase of

maintenance equipment. >> Uh with the new construction and new lighting along Maverick Drive and then uh with the issues we've had on getting top- getting equipment on top of the L- two-story elementaries, uh we would like to purchase this bumper pull man lift that you see. Um just to help with maintenance of air conditioning and change of lighting in different areas in new buildings. This will come out of uh maintenance current budget. Correct? Or wish list items? Yeah. Yes. >> Okay. Have a motion. >> I'll make a motion we approve. >> Second. >> A Lewis, second by Mr. Fisher. All those in favor, please say I. >> I. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? That motion carries. Board will now adjourn into closed session pursuant to Texas Government Code 551.071 and 551.074. >> Okay. >> Everybody

awake? Back in open session. Item one is considering approving personnel matters as recommended. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Motion by Mr. Palmer, second by Ms. Fisher. All those in favor, please say aye. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? Motion carries. Item two is to take action regarding the superintendent's recommendation on professional employee contracts. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Motion by Mr. Lewis, second by Mr. Palmer. All those in favor, please say aye. >> Aye. >> Any opposed? Any abstaining? The motion carries. We are adjourned.
