This program recognizes the Purple Heart recipients and educates the public on their contribution to freedom. Throughout the Purple Heart Project, this provides an opportunity to recognize recipients by designating a parking

I am seeking your approval to coordinate the Purple Heart Project parking initiative that will take place a sign adjacent to your current handicap parking. These signs will help designate parking slots for the Purple Heart recipients that reside or visit our city/count. Uh we continue with the recognitions. of we going to recognize some wonderful students and their accomplishments. I do have a PowerPoint that I need to present as we recognize these students. You just bear with me while it's ready. Okay. So, the National Math Standards ensures mathematically extraordinary students from all communities have the resources they need to reach the frontiers of math and science. National Math Standards uh runs a free support program for extraordinary uh talented second and third grade mathematicians. over 10 years they uh they have provided uh up to $100,000 in resources and support to help them access STEM enrichment so that they can um develop that their talents. Uh students
037are eligible if they live in Texas, currently in second or third grade. uh demonstrates extraordinary extraordinary mathematic aptitude 98 percentile on state or national norm uh test or top 2% within their local school context or demonstrate great STEM potential despite lacking a top score. So and we do have some important days for the parents uh the parents did receive a letter where it explains uh you know that this is they are nominees right now. Uh obviously uh if the parents agree to participate with a national matt uh uh stars there is an application period. Everything is free. If they become a finalist identified through the application process as a student who demonstrate deep curiosity and extraordinary mathematical thinking and if they become a star selected as a national math star to join a 10-year journey
040of advanced math learning, mentoring and community through our Pathfinder or the Voyager programs. >> Question real quick, I don't know if you mentioned it. How many of them become stars? Do they choose one? >> It's a committee. It's it's a process. So the national match stars if the parents agree to participate they will be asking for information and then they go through a review process and that's how they select them. It's >> so but is there one or there's a couple? >> Oh there's there's several. It could be a lot. Yeah because it's throughout the state. So uh I know that I know that u for a fact we have a student from Laredo that in last year qualified. So it's a rigorous process but >> it's possible. >> Okay. So, we have a short
041video uh from the uh Elana Walder. She's the CEO and founder of the National Math Stars. And this is for the students. >> Does it play or if not we can move on? >> Okay. 044right. We'll cover your faces again. All right. So Just really quick, the application process is already open. Uh the review process will be between July and August. And of course, uh between mid August, that's when they notified if students had been qualified or as stars. Congratulations kiddos uh your parents your teachers and we are very very proud of you all. >> Section seven we continue in reports and presentations item C recognition GT students independent investigation method. Yes. Give me just one second. I also have a PowerPoint. So on January 31st, we had um basically a workshop with region one and we had three campuses participate which is uh AC2 Elementary uh Dr. Mario Ramirez Elementary and General Ricardo Sanchez. Uh the reason we chose those three campuses is because they need to have a certain
045number of GT students in the fourth grade. This was particularly only for fourth grade GT students. And so what they did as you can see here. So the students um had to go through an independent investigation method and uh with the with the guidance of their teacher uh and these students for six hours and this was a zoom meeting. Okay. They had to go uh first of all teachers uh learn the fundamental skills of research that will allow them to teach information. But through this process the students learn that re research is a sequential process. Research is used to answer questions. There are many sources for information. They must site their sources using a standard formal for their bibliography. They need to put information on their own words. No plagiarism. And information must be organized
046for use in a product. And they should share what they have learned. And so, as you can see here, we have pictures of that day. And we have this is uh General Ricardo Sanchez Elementary. And the teacher that was guiding the students was Miss Lindsey Gera. >> Then we have Academy for Academic Enhancement, AC2E Elementary. The teacher was the librarian, Mrs. Amanda Litman. And there's a there you see a picture of the book they they used the teaching research skills. And then of course then we have Dr. Mario Ramirez Elementary and the teacher there was Mrs. Elvira Garcia. So, as I call your name, students, please come forward so that you can be they're going to get a a certificate from region one that certifies them as uh independent investigators in research and uh they're
047also getting a trophy. So starting with General Ricardo Sanchez Elementary at Pina Mateo Varel, Elie Corona or Eli Corona, Samantha Lopez and Devani Guerrero or Debony from academic for academic enhancement ACE elementary and of course we want the teacher to stay. Uh we do have a small token of appreciation for the teacher as well. Alexandra Varrial Ga Gomez, Alina Vanessia and Himea Bermudees from Dr. From Mario Ramirez Elementary, we have Isabella Avalo, Sebastian de Laator, Italy Garca, Ricardo Garca, and congratulations to our 2026 Region One pilot project independent investigation method participants. So we can have the principles and the teachers on the picture as well. Congratulations. Thank you >> again. We're very proud of you guys. Uh students, uh keep up the good work. Section seven, item D, lasso for grant notification. So, good evening
048once again, board president, Dr. Valera, board members, and Mrs. Garca, superintendent of schools. Um, I am proud to announce that TEA, the Texas Education Agency, has officially notified Rio Grande City GUA ISD of its selection for multiple initiatives under the learning acceleration support opportunities lasso cycle 4. We have been awarded about $1.6 6 million in the following um awards. First one is under leadership and instructional foundations in Texas known as Lyft and we got awarded 1,91,000 and that is for our uh elementary and middle school leadership systems and instructional foundations. We also got awarded the lift add-on for school improvement and PLC supports 240,000 for Alberto and Selia Elementary and John and Olive Inosa Elementary in reading and in math. We also got the additional day school year ATSI PEP grant for the amount of
049100,000 and that is for next summer, not this summer. Uh but we're excited since we did already launch our ATSIE program for this school year. Then we uh we were awarded the early college high school grant for Rio Grandeye City High School and Gria High School and it's a h 100,000 for each high school to launch the early college uh high school pending the designation from the state. We also were awarded the the Texas strategic staffing for residencies grant at 58,400 for district-wide support for residency based staffing models and three of the prep programs awarded uh amount pending based off of the tea guidance for the prep residency pre-ervice program, the grow your own program and the mentorship program. So, thank you very much. But we were awarded all of it. >> Congratulations, man. >>
050Awesome. Awesome. All right, that is it for reports and information. We move on to section eight. We're now um on section 8, consent agenda items for consent items listed on the agenda that were previously discussed and presented at the board workshop last Wednesday. At this time, can I have a motion to approve consent agenda items A through D? >> Motion accept consent. >> Thank you. Can I have a second? >> And any discussion? All those in favor, raise your right hand. And motion passes. Thank you. Now, action item section 9, business operations, facilities. Item 9A, consider and take possible action on request for use of facilities facilities from RGC Rotary Club. Ma, Madam President, just as uh requested there, it says attaches the request for the real Grandandy City Rotary Club for the user real
051Grandandy City Goodyd Multi-purpose Center for their annual four-way speech contest on March 6, 2026, and that'll be from 11 to 2:30. We are respectfully uh requesting that the school board consider waving the rental fees of 375 if deemed appropriate. All right. Can I have a motion? >> So move >> and a second. >> Thank you. Any questions? All those in favor raise your right hand and motion passes. Section 10, Office of Human Resources, consider and take possible action on Senate Bill 11, prayer reading period. >> Can I have a motion to approve item 10? >> We That's what we discussed. >> Each one of us to >> Okay, >> your vote. are opting out of approving a resolution for the daily prayer period or if you are opting in. So if you opting out the
052vote would be I so and so vote yay to opt out of the daily prayer period. >> Okay. And we discussed this and just to clarif to make a you know to clarify because some people um will think that we're voting against prayer at schools and I think I was very excited to see that they're encouraging um prayer at school. The only thing was that if we vote for to opt it in, we're limiting and we're having to get consent from every parent and so it puts a burden on on the school district. Um I think the example was for example if we have a classroom of 20 students and we get only tw uh 10 students and parents approve that their child be in that classroom then those other 10 students would have to
053step out or we would have to take the first 10 take them somewhere else and um have somebody take care of them. So, it was just something that is going to be a little bit uh taxing on our district at this time. And we do have at place right now a time for prayer. I believe Father Ortega is going Wednesdays and Thursdays or Thursday mornings. He has a set time um that he goes and has prayer time with, you know, with the high school students. And so, we each one of us is going to have their vote. But basically, that's that's kind of how um the attorney summed it up where it would be too taxing on the school district if we couldn't get all the parents to um have a consent form for their
054child. >> Mr. Pña, >> not only that, but we also would have to set aside a time frame or a period where it would take away from our students educational time. Uh not only that but we thought it out we we we put a lot of thought into it and uh we also have some time where the fellowship of Christian athletes we have other organizations that allow time for prayer as well. So we felt that uh given that there are those organizations out there that are providing that type of of of prayer time uh we said that we would cons reconsider and opt out. That's one of the reasons that we opted out. So I think um Miss Garcia if there's a way that we could do like a survey and maybe see we're we're
055thinking that we're going to for have a problem but what if the majority of our kids are um or their parents do give us consent so maybe we can do some type of a survey and see what the numbers are and see if it's going to be that big of a problem with the consent and then I do understand you know the issue the other issue was uh actually separating a certain time Um I I'm just curious to know if if we would have our parents >> Yes, ma'am. >> consent that for the kids. Um what other thing did we need to explain? I think it was those two things. >> Yeah. Oh, another thing. So prayer time, we have it right now. I know at the high schools. So I think that we could
056try to reach out and see if we could offer that to the elementaryaries and middle schools. I think what we have currently and I know the principles here at the elementary and middle schools we always practice a moment of silence and we do give them that time that if they you know they want to pray silently then they have that choice. We do give them that moment of silence every morning. Yes ma'am. >> And I think once we once we make our decision tonight uh we can't send out surveys because that will require for us to bring this item action back onto the agenda and have to vote. >> Okay then we're not going to do that. Um but are we okay with um having uh like in the high school but for the middle
057school and the elementaryaries having um not set a time but have it just optional for the kids? Yes, most school districts allow during their morning announcements for a moment of silence um in the morning announcements and then there are already established religious student organizations such as the FCA and there's events like see you at the pole that are pretty common and those allow for the students to participate in prayer and those are outside of instructional time and there are already employees who are sponsors and so it would not take away or add any additional burdens on the district >> and all these uh events are already in place. We do have our uh prayer silent moment before beginning of class >> and we have different organizations already providing this type of uh you know prayer
058prayer time or or u >> yeah you're right the prayer by the poll is for uh younger the younger kids right okay I forgot about that one all right so then Mr. Pa, if you want to give us your vote. >> I vote to opt out >> to opt out of adopting a resolution to establish a daily prayer. >> All right. I opt out as well to establish a resolution to adopt the daily prayer uh bill. >> I vote to opt out. >> Okay. >> All right. And that's it. >> Motion passes or >> No. Okay, thank you. Now, section 11, governance item 11A, discussion and possible action to adopt superintendent evaluation instrument. And so, this is an instrument that will be used to evaluate >> our superintendent. >> Uh, Dr. Baran, board members, I
059believe that you have that in your uh board packet. This is an evaluation instrument that legal has developed. It is already, you know, uh, approved by the commissioner of education. It's a very standard superintendent evaluation. It allows for the board to give Miss GarcA feedback on her time as superintendent thus far and allows her to present to the board what she's done for the district. Um, so we are asking for you to approve this evaluation instrument and then at the March board meeting is when the the board would actually evaluate evaluate Miss Godstein. She would do her presentation. >> All right. Can I have a motion to approve as um by legal as um instrument >> stated or recommended by legal? I'm sorry. Yes. Motion and a second. >> Second. All those in favor raise
060your right hand and motion passes. Curric section 12 curriculum and instruction item 12A consider and take possible action on electrical dual materials for Guya High School ELT. Madam President, members of the board on this item we respectfully seek approval for these supplies. These kids are in dual enrollment STC with electrical. It's a dual enrollment course. So, these kids are being bus to our SDC pro uh campus and we're requesting these supplies for these kiddos. The long-term goal is to build a facility at Gria High to be able to facilitate this course at Gura High School. >> Can I have a motion? >> So, move >> and a second. >> Any questions? All those in favor raise your right hand and motion passes. Item 12B, consider and take possible action on 2025 2026 region one early
061childhood partnership fee. Yes. Uh again, Dr. Perea, this item um should have been presented back in May of 2025 when we signed the memorandum of understanding in the partnership with Damiance. Uh but it was not ready yet by region one. So um it's $5,000. So for that reason, we're bringing it to the board for approval. Um, as you know, region one is our partner when it comes to Avance and all the partnerships that are being developed in place. >> Thank you. Can I have a motion? >> So move >> and a second. >> Second. >> All those in favor is right hand and motion passes. Item 12 C, consider and take possible action on instrumental material TICS certification form. >> Good evening again. So the Texas education code requires school districts to certify annually that
062instructional materials used in the district cover the TEACS for each subject and grade level. This certification confirms that all adopted instructional materials are aligned to state standards and supports student mastery of required curriculum objectives. Certification ensures compliance with state law, protects the district's instructional integrity, and affirms that students have equitable access to standards aligned curriculum resources. Board approval demonstrates governance, oversight, and accountability in maintaining highquality instructional materials aligned to TE's requirements. And we're recommending that the certification form be signed and approved by our board president and secretary so that the CNI administrative team can submit to the state in a timely manner. >> So move. >> Can I have a second? >> Second. >> All those in favor is right hand and motion passes. >> Thank you. Thank you. All right. Item 12D. Consider and
063take possible action on school improvement targeted improvement plan. We're going to table this item out because we are missing two campuses. And once we add those two additional campuses, we'll bring it back to the March board meeting. >> All right. So that item will be tabled for March >> section. >> I'm sorry. I'm recommending for it to be tabled >> and we have to move. Okay. Do I have a motion? >> So move >> and second. >> Second. >> All those in favor raise your right hand. All right. So it will be tabled. Uh section 13 maintenance. Consider and take possible action on proposal for the re- roof of Ringold Middle School. Item 13A. Madame President, members of the board, Miss Garca, superintendent of schools, administration is recommending uh that we pull this item at
064this time. Uh the reason being we are evaluating other options and we will be ready to present to the board at the next workshop meeting and uh this is for this item and the next one >> 13A and 13B. 13. >> Yes. >> And 13B. Do I have a motion? All right. So move >> and a second. >> Second. >> All those in favor um raise your right hand and motion passes. March. >> Okay. So both will be uh item 13A and 13B for the record will be tabled at this time and brought back in March. Item 13 D >> C. All right. consider and take possible action on proposal for softball canopy. >> Good evening, Madame President, Miss Carson, superintendent of schools, members of the board. We are uh you will see attached two
065proposals for the construction of the softball canopy. Uh we are respectfully recommending that we move forward with Weld and Steel LLC. >> I have a few questions on this. Uh Miss Pena, uh where will this canopy be built at? It is here in the softball field sir. It's where the the batting cages where the students practice in that area >> and it's because um it's to cover them from the sun. Is that >> it is to cover them from the sun and we are shielding it from the sides as well so the children will be able to be in the shade. >> Okay. >> All right. Thank you ma'am. >> Yes sir. >> Can I have a motion >> and a second? >> Second. >> Any other questions? Thank you. Uh, all those in favor
066raise your right hand and motion passes. Item 13D, consider and take possible action on donation of turf to Real Gardy City Parks and Recreation. >> Yes, the Rio Grand City Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a donation of artificial turf. Uh, currently the district does have several cut pieces that are not going to be used at all. So we are recommending respectfully that we do um go forward with this donation. >> All right. Does anybody have any questions? >> I think that we mostly try to help you know this work together with the city and the school. Um so it's a good thing that we're donating this. Uh can I have a motion? >> So move. >> A second. >> All those in favor raise your right hand and motion passes. Item 13E. consider
067and take possible action on Gurua High School parking lot light repair. Attached you will find three proposals to replace and repair the Gria High School parking lot lighting system. As we know, the high school parking lot lighting system at both high schools uh but particularly at Gria has experienced significant deterioration over several years uh resulting in minimal functional lighting across key areas of the campuses where our students practice uh creating conditions that are not the safest for our students. So, we are respectfully recommending that we move forward with REP construction. >> This has been an issue for a long time. So, um long overdue to get uh some lighting out there in Lagura High School. Can I have a motion? >> So, move >> and a second. >> All those in favor, raise your right
068hand. And motion passes. Thank you. Item 13F, consider and take possible action on Real Grande City High School Park King lot repair. 13E and F. >> Oh, this one's real Grandandy City High School and lot repair. Okay. Yes, ma'am. The same. You will find the three quotes there, the three proposals uh for the the repair. Here at Rio High, we do have lighting. However, the lighting is insufficient. it doesn't provide uh enough safety for our kids, you know, to practice out there. So, we are respectfully recommending that we move forward again with REP construction. >> Okay. Can I have a motion? >> So, move >> and a second. >> Any other questions? All those in favor, raise your right hand. And motion passes. Thank you. >> Thank you. Health Services item 14A consider and take
069possible action on school board interventions region one grant year two. >> Good evening board president um ladies and gentlemen of the board superintendent Garza and staff and community members. So we're here hoping uh to purchase some items that we got a grant. We got a grant from region one and the main goal that region one would like us to use these grant funds is to help increase physical activity across our our school district. So, uh, we have a committee and the committee go went ahead and decided that we're going to be helping out our middle schools at the moment. Um, not many middle schools have, um, physical activity equipment that they could use, for example, in recess. And that's the what we're hoping to do on this this little round that we're trying to do.
070We do have another, um, round of purchasing items for hopefully the next board meeting. At the moment, it would be for just this amount at the moment. And it's going to be volleyball net systems, soccer net systems, flag football systems, tether ball for for um all the middle schools at the moment. >> This is great because you know how we were trying to get um most schools with a playground area, but this is for older kids and kids that >> want to do other type of sports. >> And we're hoping to include like I said um more stuff at the next board meeting and possibly our high schools as well. So yes. >> All right. Can I have a motion? >> So move >> and a second. >> Second. >> Any questions? All those in
071favor, raise your right hand. And motion passes. >> Thank you. >> Uh section 15, special services department. Item 15A, considering TA possible action on special education evaluations Saturday work sessions. >> Yes. So good evening, Dr. Vera, school board president, board members, Miss Gualupe GarcA, superintendent of schools. Ladies and gentlemen, uh special services department is requesting approval for nine compensated Saturdays for our evaluation staff. This is necessary to ensure that we meet federally mandated special education timelines. These additional work days will allow uh our special services to remain compliant and ensure that students receive services in a timely manner. This will be funded with our idea 224 and the special services department respectfully respectfully requests uh your approval. Can I have a motion? >> So move >> and a secondy. Um, any questions? >> I know
072that uh I hear I hear it at home every day, the work overload. Uh, a lot of our our students are being uh referred uh for special ed services. Uh one thing that I always respond to my lovely people is that I tell them make sure that uh yes we understand that you have a lot of work but at the same time we need to be held accountable for the work that we do. So we need to make sure Mr. Guerrero that the workload is spread evenly across the board. U make sure that if they are coming in to work on a Saturday that they're there to take advantage of that time. and make sure that they fulfill their duties uh across the board. Uh and and I mean the way we are right now
073with our budgets, we can't afford uh just to you know I say hand out money you know uh we need to have productive people working out there. >> Thank you. >> All right. So um we voted all those in favor right hand and motion passes. Section 16, Counseling and Social Services. Item 16A, consider and take possible action onou with MSG Treatment Center LLC. Good evening, Madame President. Um ladies and gentlemen, members of the board, Superintendent Miss GarcA, um thisou if approved will allow for mosquite treatment to provide outpatient chemical dependency counseling and intervention to our students at this school district, specifically with our alternative center. That would include prevention education, um group sessions, family counseling if needed, and of course, this is at no cost to the school district. >> Great. >> Any questions? >>
074No question, Matt. Great job. uh keep bringing as much as possible to our I guess our our our school community. Uh they need a lot of support in this area. Uh so uh thank you for that. >> Great. Thank you. >> All right. Can I have a motion? >> So move >> and a second. Second. >> All those in favor raise your right hand. And motion passes. >> Item 16B. Consider and take possible action on service agreement between RGC GISD and Prairie View&M University. Good afternoon, superintendent of schools, Miss Garza, board president, Dr. Baretta, and board members and audience. Today, I respectfully ask for recommendation to approve this item. It's no cost to the district, and it is an initiative to work alongside the school family community engagement to have a different and uh provide
075education to parental um adisement and different opportunities. This is no cost, I must say. And this is a great opportunity for our communities to get going and get started with initiatives for our families. Therefore, I recommend to submit this item for board approval for Prairie uh University to come in and give services if agreed upon. >> So move. >> Can I have a second? >> All those in favor, raise your right hand. All right. Section 17, risk management. Item 17A, consider and take possible action on annual subscription to Raptor Technologies accountability and reunification software. >> Good evening, Madame President, members of the board, superintendent, Miss GarcA, and guests. Okay. that Raptor Technologies accountability and reunification annual software will strengthen emergency response by providing realtime tracking of students, staff, and visitors and ensuring an orderly secure
076reunification process during critical incidents. The annual cost of this will be fully funded through safe cycle 2 grant funds, making this a fiscally responsible safety investment for our district. We recommend the approval of this annual subscription for rapid reunification and accountability services. >> Mr. Ramirez, thank you. I I would like to add, Madame President and board members, that uh upon reviewing this, we did see that um it was a three-year contract and not a one-year contract. And I think last year we began with uh not wanting to do three-year contracts unless they were the only uh company that would offer these services, and that is not the case with this. So, we're uh my recommendation is to go ahead and table this and take it back to see if we can go out for more
077um more quotes on this to you know to to get a better price hopefully on it. >> Yeah, I understand. I think um yeah, things change from year to year. >> Yes, ma'am. >> All right. Can I have a motion to table this item 178? >> So, I have a motion to table this. >> Uh second. >> Second. >> All those in favor raise your right hand. Any other questions? A motion passes. Item 17B, consider and take possible action on change order request from Sensational Solutions for all elementary schools. >> Change order request for CSP2526 security window film at all elementary schools as well as our start center. The original estimate approved was $13,862.50. The additional scope of work that is provided here in the spreadsheet is $14,816. This change order form will ensure completion
078of the project that was intended and support the district's ongoing efforts to enhance uh safety, functionality, and overall project effectiveness. Sufficient funds are available and all costs associated with this change order will be paid using Safe Cycle One grant funds with no impact to the district's general fund. I highly recommend the approval of this change order form. This this is for the second phase of film or >> this is the impact film for the window impact film for the doors for the exterior doors. >> Okay. Did we not previously put >> it was for the secondary campuses. So this is for the elementary >> the elementary campuses did not have the first >> they don't they currently don't. They don't >> very few very few and it's normally those that received the that had already
079had decals. They went ahead and included some of the impact film with some of the decals that was included. And so if you look at the spreadsheet, there was that deduction from the original price. >> About how many campuses are we lacking with this safety film? >> So there's 10 elementary and then we have the start center, >> but none of them have the first phase of film. >> Not not for elementary. So the secondary campuses are the ones that have the impact. All right. Can I have a motion? >> So move. >> A second. >> Second. >> Any questions or further discussion? >> All those in favor raise your right hand. And motion passes. Item 17 C, consider and take possible action on change order from Refco for exterior doors. The change order under
080the agreement CSP reflects the estimated repairs and replacements identified during a comprehensive assessment of campus exterior doors. The project's objective is to ensure all exterior doors function properly, remain secured, and support controlled access throughout the school day. The total estimated project up to date is 670,944 with 9 cents with 535,484.73 required to complete the phase. Uh we will be using safe cycle one grant funds and so this is resulting in no impact to the local operating budget >> and these are campuses across the district. Um I mean >> it would be all campuses >> all campuses across the district to secure the outer perimeter doors to make sure that >> people aren't able to and this is include it's safety for the campus and the safety for our students and our staff. So just >>
081and why did it change order? >> We the original there was an original plan and so we had to go back and look and we had to do a comprehensive um look at all the exterior doors of the campus. So through these walkthroughs, we were able to identify that some doors that didn't need replacement, they just needed repairs. So the original plan was roughly 1.2 million, this is now cut in in half. >> Okay. For security purposes, we won't discuss more, but I do have some questions because I know there were some complaints of of certain doors just to make sure that those got >> Okay. What about the new the new buildings? The new >> the new campus is it? Well, we can't discuss specific. >> Yeah, we won't discuss specific um schools and
082questions, but we will ask you in a little bit. Um all right. Any a motion? >> If you're going to take it into >> We have to move. >> Do you need a motion to go into executive? >> All right. So, move that we move. >> We can leave it because these are just questions like to make sure that we can approve this. >> I want to approve it. We can approve it. It's just questions. >> So, but they still want to approve. >> Okay. Yeah, we want to approve it. We just have >> just to make sure certain certain But but we're still approving this. Yeah. >> All right. So, a motion. >> So, move >> and a second. All right. Any more questions? All those in favor, raise your right hand. And motion
083passes. Item 17D, consider and take possible action on ratification of contract agreement of C uh SP 2458 with Refco. Since there was a changes to the original scope of work that required a revision to the contract agreement with Refco, we went ahead and made some updates, some changes to it. So, we're asking for the approval of the ratified contract agreement with Refco. >> What was the original contract? Did >> the original contract amount was up to 1.2 2 million >> 1.2 2 million and you brought it down too. It's 600. No, the same one. 6. Okay. >> 630. >> So move. >> Can I have a second? >> Sorry. >> Any questions, discussion? All those in favor is your right hand. And motion passes. >> Thank you. >> Section 18, executive session. We will now
084move on to section 18, executive session for items A through E, as listed on the posted agenda under Texas government code sections 551071-76 and 551082 through84. The time is now 7:17 p.m. and we are moving to executive session. The time is now 8:12 p.m. and we're back in open session. May I have a motion for item B, discussion and possible action on resignation/retirements of existing personnel. >> So move with discuss in executive session. >> Can I have a second? >> Second. >> And motion passes. Item D, discussion to approve action on matters related to student expulsions. And for this one, we will take no action. Do we have any public comments on non-aggenda items? Thank you. And um being that there are no further items left on the agenda, I now declare this meeting adjourned
085at 8:13 p.m. Thank you and have a great evening.
