President, we are asking for approval uh to uh take this ATS calendar for the 2627 calendar year. And what the ATS days are are just adding days to our calendar. Uh and right now we do have them for the summer. There would be an extended summer uh program. And with the Etsy, it's very important that we um remember that this brings extra funding to the district as well. >> Do we have any questions, discussion at this time? All right. 004and now before you you will see the attachment there where we have added uh that particular class to be able to give those uh six points that we discussed in executive session. If you have I'm gonna give y'all some time if you want to look at that uh amendment. And if y'all have any questions, please uh feel free to ask me. >> Miss Gara, can I ask one question? Just one? >> Yes, sir. >> Yeah, just one. If we want to be transparent, what are we going to do to let the people from the the students and the people from Lagria that we do not we have an AP class or AP classes in Rio Grandandy in the early college but not in Lagua and substitute it uh the honors program? Are we going to

advertise it? Are we going to send letters to their parents? And last last thing I know that if if you pass an AP exam you get credit if you get a three and there's AP scholars. How do we address that? >> This is not AP. This is for preAP classes. Mr. Variel. Uh, and yes, parents uh have been notified and those that have not been contacted will continue to be notified, but we will be 100% transparent with this. Yes, sir. And it's only for this particular cohort. Uh, again, because that's discussed in um executive session due to uh the previous personnel uh in administration. Um this is a reason that we have to do. >> So, you're going to let the parents know that? >> That is correct. Yes, sir. >> Thank you. you know,

and and in in a weird way, I want to be more transparent and say how this got caused, but let's not do that because it wouldn't be appropriate to say it's being remedyed the way it should be and it will be as transparent as possible. >> That is correct. >> Thank you, >> Mr. Ramirez. Thank you. >> All right. Can I have a motion to approve mo uh item 6 a II? >> So move. >> Can I have a second? >> Second. >> All those in favor raise your right hand. >> And motion passes. Item 6B I consider and take possible action on anchor easement and rightaway agreement between RGC GISD and Medina Electric Cop. >> Madame President, uh attached you will find uh the easement with RGCGISD and Medina Electric Co-op. If you all

have any questions, I think Mr. um Lopez can answer those for you. >> [snorts] >> Any questions, discussion? So just they want to use it to Can you explain what they want to use it to? >> Madame President, members of the board, superintendent of schools, Miss Garca, uh basically what Medina Electric is looking uh to do is design a new electric line uh and they need an anchor easement uh to cross 755. Uh the location is outside of the fence on the south side of 755. And this is needed basically to keep the line uh over the highway to stay up high and tight, you know, where it doesn't come down and and is hanging. So that's basically what it is. >> Okay. >> All right. Can I have a motion to approve item B

uh item 6BI as presented? >> So move. >> Can I have a second? >> I'll second. >> All those in favor raise right hand and motion passes. Item 6 C I, consider and take possible action on Gria High School early college application. >> Madame President, can you read both of them together? That way I can explain items 6 C1 and item 6 C2. >> Item 6C III, consider and take possible action on Rio High School and early college high school PEK application. >> Thank you, Madam President. Uh members of the board and Madam President, uh the what we're asking for is permission to be able to apply. In the last board meeting, we did bring uh early uh the PEK for Gurya High School ear um for Gurua High School. Now we are asking to

uh uh allow us to apply for both Guruya High School and uh Rio High School for early colleges and we are also asking for both Rio High School and early college for PEK um to be able to apply as a PEK campuses. So basically in essence we are asking for all three high schools to apply for early college and also the PEK. It's just to allow more opportunities for our students in all areas. Okay. Thank you. And again it's not that you know we have we haven't received this grant yet. It's just asking permission to go ahead and apply for this. All right. 012[clears throat] >> And Miss Gara, do we have any announcements? >> Uh yes, Madam President. Just a couple of announcements. First of all, we do have our GT night going on right now till 7 o'clock at the Little Lions gym. And anyone still has time to go out there and support our students and teachers. Um we would love to see that. And then another announcement of course is to wish all our students, staff and community a happy thanks happy Thanksgiving. Um and um another another announcement I do want to just talk a little bit about last night. Um a a well uh what is it? Stars under the stadium sky. A night uh uh under the stadium sky. It was such a beautiful event. Those of you that were there present and were able to

see the joy in in our students faces and feel their excitement as they um performed what they have been practicing for days in and days out. The time that they put into it. It was a very emotional time I think last night especially when they all got together. I think that was beautiful. At the end, uh when all our students got together and they gave their final bow, um no one told them to begin chanting RGC GISD, they felt that unity. They felt that love. You know, both the east and the west coming together. And that's what we have always said. We are one district, one family. And I think our students made that statement last night. And this is just the one of many to come. With your support, we're hoping that this will

become tradition in the years to come. Whether we are here or we're not, this is something that is for our students. We saw that last night and it's something that should continue year after year. It's about our students. It's about showcasing our students. And um it got a lot of uh uh I think uh what is it? Visit not what's what's the word? I'm not familiar with Facebook, but >> views. Oh, >> views. Thank you. Got a lot of views also on social media. It just says so much and and I have a feeling that so many people, not just our district, other districts are looking and they're seeing the talent that our students have in this district and we're just so proud uh of each and every one of them and and I know

that they'll continue uh their work here in this district. I don't know if anybody has any for organizing that. I um I want to congratulate them again. It was an amazing performance and it was awesome to see the different you know the mariachi the bands from Gya from uh Rio Grande. It was an awesome awesome experience. I I love seeing it and and what I loved most about it was that they were having fun. They were performing with their hearts for their parents, their family members, people that weren't able to go out there and see them and they they did it and they were having fun for one last time, which I think was more enjoyable because once they're doing it for competition, it was just the stress. I think that when you're stressed, you

really can't enjoy something as much. So, I really really felt that this they were able to really enjoy what they worked for so hard throughout the year. Um, I I congratulate them all, the staff, the parents, because it takes so much discipline, um, dedication, love, passion, and and I think that the lessons that they will take off to the real life are invaluable. They're they're great lessons that are going to make them, you know, succeed in life. Um, so thank you for organizing that. Uh, parents, thank you for taking your kids, staff, kids, you did amazing. Congratulations again. And if no one I don't know if everybody wants to I want to wish everybody the staff, parents, students, everybody a happy Thanksgiving. Uh you have a very welldeserved week off. I think it's short. Some

people thought it was long. I think it's short. You all have an amazing restful recharge. Count your blessings. Um be grateful. I think if you have a grateful heart, uh life is going to be just so much more beautiful. And um I want to wish everybody a happy Thanksgiving with all your loved ones. All right, the time is now 6:15 and if there's no further items left on the agenda, I now declare this meeting adjourned. It is 6:15 p.m. Thank you and have a great evening and a happy Thanksgiving.
