members of the board, board president, Miss Garza, superintendent of schools. I have a quick presentation for you for our special education department and the progress for the first six weeks. So, I'm going to start off just by letting you know what I'm going to be presenting. The number of students labeled in special ed in the tested areas in the tested grades. Um, also the testing accommodations that our students receive. grades three through eight data, grades 9 through 12 data, and also the plan of action and the next steps that we're moving forward with special ed. So for Randy City ISD special education uh students labeled, we have two sets. We have a set of grades 9 through 12. We have 36 students identified. And the majority of our kids identified there if you look at

the screen are our re our kids who are in resource and and get services for both math and in reading. We do have a good chunk in mainstream that are that are mainstream into the regular classroom. These this is our high schools for grades 3 to 8. We have a total of 585 students this year identified. We have the majority of our kids that do um have resource classes and they do have resource classes for math and reading and we have quite a few also that are self-contained more than 60% of the time. [clears throat] accommodations that our students receive uh for star and star Spanish. They do receive accessibility features, locally approved designated supports, designated supports requiring TA approval. So some of the supports here are basic transcribing uh braille refreshable braille calculation aids,

content and language supports, individualized structured reminders, large print, manipulating test materials, math manipulatives, oral signed administration, spelling assistance, and spelling aids. I've highlighted three of the most commonly used accommodations by not only our special ed students but also uh the majority of our kids who do qualify for these locally approved designated supports in grades 3 through eight in science. I went ahead and I combined this data because when we look at the level of approaches that is mainly for RDA we have 81% of our students in the first six weeks exam um scoring at approaches in a com a combination of third through 8th when we look at RDA reports and I'll be doing that next month um the com it this is how it's compiled it's not compiled by single grade levels it's compiled

by grades 3 to eight in the specific subjects. So third through eight and social studies. So we can see where our focus here is going to be at the approaches is a cumulative score. Our kids performed at a 79% and these are all only our special education students from the list that I currently gave you or showed you earlier. Now for mathematics I have I put a distinction here. is 3 to eight, but I went ahead and I gave you some graphs for grades 3 to five and grades 6 through 8, but they're going to look at the district score. So, I have two arrows here. On the first arrow or approaches, which we're looking at that cumulative score, it approaches the 55% indicates where our district is at. But you can see where our

grades three to five fell and our grades six through eight fell as well. But at the meets level, if you look at the meats level and we look at that percentage there, which is the 29% for the district, that is that's what counts. Special education counts for the A throughF accountability. So we just wanted I just wanted to do the distinction between the two. For third through 8 reading, we have the same thing. 50% of our students scored at the approaches grade level. So when we look at 3 through8 reading um our special ed uh students need quite a bit of help in the reading areas at the elementary level third through fifth as you can see uh they were quite quite low and also when it comes as a whole 17% as a district

in meets the we're we were held accountable at the federal when it's domain three and the accountability A throughF so our special education students play a vital role when it comes to um that measure for our high schools. I did this one differently because in our high schools they are identified as um by by subject not necessarily by grade span and I did include all our campuses. So as you can see for RDA or algebra 1 we are at a 79% and these are kids who are again our special education students and for A throughF accountability we're at a 60% predominantly we do really well with our special education students in math at the high school level. For biology, we're at a 65% for the first six weeks with our students, um, our special education

students. But as a whole, when it comes to meats, it doesn't um, it doesn't affect us in the A throughF, but it does affect us in domain one. in English, our overall score, and this is our Achilles heel if you if I'm allowed to say that. Um 27% of our special ed students. Um at the district level, uh that's how they scored in the first six weeks. 17% at Gria High School. We've got 33% at Rio High. And then of course, if you look over at the meats level is still fairly low. for English 2. Overall, as a district, we're at a 46% for the first six weeks and a 26% at the meets level. Um, English 2 manages well as far as keeping the same average year after year. But in spite of the

grade level and in spite of the score, we still need to closely look at some of these campuses and the kids and the services that they are receiving. for high uh for history in history for RDA purposes our kids are at a 75% at the high school level and um they predominantly do really well which is a a little confusing because history is recall right and it's um also a lot of reading but yet in our English exams they're not doing so well so that's how we're going to leverage off the different accommodations that these kids um need to have for our plan of action. So, we're going to look at datadriven instruction. Um we're going to identify a root analysis across the grade levels at the approaches and at the meets level so that

we can identify RDA and accountability A throughF. We're going to review their IEP goals progress to ensure the accommodations and modifications align with a students needs and instructional delivery. We're going to implement targeted um interventions for students scoring below the 60% on common assessments. Focus on the small group retach and scaffold lessons. We're going to disegregate the data for special ed versus general ed because that's how we get compared in RDA. We're going to strengthen inclusion and resource support. We're going to collaborate with general education teachers to ensure that the instruction alignment and fidelity to accommodations. Sometimes we teach straight across the board to everybody, but we need to ensure that our kids are getting the proper accommodations in every classroom. We're going to increase co-eing. We're trying to include do a push-in model where

our resource teachers and inclusion teachers push in into the regular classroom. And it's important that they push in and do co-eing activities with our teachers. Opportunities in the core content areas, especially in reading and math. We need to provide immediate support during instruction. We need to review the resource scheduling to maximize the instructional time and pull out overlaps that are tested and the different subjects instead of the instead we're going to push in. Like I said earlier, we need to push in and uh service these kids. We're going to monitor and adjust accommodations. We're going to conduct an accommodation audit to verify accurately documentation for the STAR, DMAC, and ARD. We need to provide refreshers on PD and accessibility features and designated supports to all our teachers, especially new staff. And I'm also including in

here, and I didn't add it to the plan of action, are all our diagnosticians since our diagnosticians are the ones who hold all these AR meetings. We're going to track effectiveness of supports using classroom data and progress monitoring tools like Cambium and or DMAC. On the campus collaboration and leadership support, we're going to engage campus leadership teams in reviewing special ed performance trends and aligning the support with campus goals. We're going to look at their CIP. How are how are these goals aligned when it comes to the special education population? We're going to host campus data PLC's. And it's important that with these PLC's, we include our principles, the special education teachers, and instructional coaches to analyze the six weeks trends. And we're going to create campus action trackers to monitor interventions, their effectiveness as

students progress through the domains in reading, math, science, and social studies. We do a lot of tracking of our data, but it's extremely important that we do track our special education students and the services that they are being provided and how are they being provided. So, one of my questions is going to be to our administrative staff at the campuses is did the the kids use any of the supports during any of these assessments so that that way they can um be successful. On our next steps, we have some action steps and I listed some responsibility parties and evidence of completion. So, we're going to conduct campus level specialed data reviews. We're going to look at elementary, middle school, and high schools. The people responsible for there for that for that will be myself, our

special ed director, and of course the principles. And the evidence of completion would be data mean uh data meeting minutes and signin sheets. We're going to implement and retach and targeted intervention plans. And the per people responsible there would be our teachers inclusion support. We're going to look at their lesson plans. We're going to look at their walkthrough notes. There's a lot of walkthroughs happening. Are they identifying the differentiation within our students? Conduct accommodation audits and training refreshers. And the people responsible for their um will be the do diagnosticians and the special ed team. We're going to and the evidence there will be audit checklist and the PD sign-in sheets. We're going to review student progress using updated six weeks data. We're going to uh the party responsibles would be the special ed department and

curriculum teams. And we're going to update intervention logs. And of course, we need to communicate with our families and the people and to celebrate our students success. The party responsible would be campus administration and teachers. And how will this be communicated? Through communication logs. Every time we have an ARD, we need to make sure that we tell the parents the successes that these kids have had because they can really move forward. A lot of the times um they just want bodisito mjito know, you know, they can actually achieve and do really well. I had this data broken down by even sub pops. I really had it broken down by the inclusion kids, by our kids who are in resource, our mainstream kids, the ones that are in units. And you'd be surprised, some of our

unit students that do go to a regular instruction, they do amazing. They actually outperform some of our regular students. So, we're really proud of that. So, this concludes my presentation. So, this is just a snippet of what we're doing with special education. And next month, we'll have the RDA report for you. >> Thank you, Miss Ayella. Thank you. Item E, recogni, recognition of district principles in honor of National Principles Month. Madame President and board members, uh before we continue, I'd like to take a moment to recognize a very special group of people, our principles. October, as we all know, is National Principles Month, and it's a time to honor the people who keep our schools grounded, inspired, and always moving forward. Our principles lead with heart. They tune out the outside noise. They stay centered

on what truly matters, and they keep students at the core of every decision. Tonight, we want to take a moment to recognize that kind of leadership with something that reflects the way you see things clearly. You connect all the pieces and bring the bigger picture into view. It's a small reminder of how your focus helps our schools find direction every single day. On behalf of our district leadership, our school board of trustees, and our community, thank you for your focused leadership, for your clarity, and for always keeping your eyes on what matters most, our kids. Before we continue, I'd like to ask if any of our board members would like to uh share a few words. >> I guess I will. As a former principal, I know that you all are going through even tougher

times uh during this this this school year. Uh not only because of uh you know the difficulties of uh dealing with our with our students, our staff, our parents, and I commend you. You know, I see I see it now from the outside looking in and uh I I I don't know how I did it for so long. Uh really uh so I commend you all. I commend you all for for for fighting for your kids, fighting for your staff, and continue always pursuing what's best for your students. When you focus on your students, when you focus on your parents, there's nothing that anyone could throw back at you because if you if you work with them, I mean, you're doing what you were meant to do. So, I congratulate you today. I honor you

and I praise you because I know that being a principal, assistant principal, is not easy nowadays. So, congratulations. I hope you all enjoy your celebration today. [applause] >> And again like Mr. Pña said, Miss Garca, I want to thank you all. I know that we know that you were job is very very difficult. Um I don't know how you all do it either. I I think you all have so many challenges. You have to face you know the the you have to face the challenges with your parents, with your students, with your teachers. Uh but know that we are very grateful to have you. I really pray to God that you all can continue making the best decisions that that that you have the wisdom, the patience, the heart uh to be able to deal

every day because I know that it it can get hard um and overwhelming. Um I just want to tell you thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We couldn't do this district wouldn't be what it is without you all. I know that your job is extremely important and that we're very grateful to have you all. [applause] >> I'm probably going to echo a lot of what Mr. Pena and Dr. Bar said, but I think what's sometimes forgotten with principles is how much time investment this requires. And um I want I think I can speak for the board when I say that we recognize it and we appreciate it and we know it's not easy. Um especially when you start seeing monies go other places and you're like what about us, right? But let's not

forget that the district only goes as far as the principles go and you all have your campuses, your respective campuses. You have to, you know, inspire. That's you all have to inspire everybody who's on your campus to agree with to follow along with your ideas, your opinions, your beliefs, and that's not easy to do. So, like Mr. Pñena said, we applaud you. It does not go unrecognized. Um, it's unimaginable. We appreciate it. And I know that I know that that the district and students as a whole, they benefit from it. And at the end of the day, you I know that you all do this for the kids and your heart's in the right place. So that's why you're exactly where you're at and we couldn't be great more grateful for it. So thank you

all for everything you do. >> Thank you. >> You know to continue to continue what we're saying or what everyone is saying basically it's thank you for your dedication. Your dedication it's unwavering. It continues for these kids because at the end of the day that's what it is, right? That's what's all about each and every one of you. the the dedication that you show is what these kids take and they will use to continue on their journey, their educational journey. So once again, thank you. >> Thank you for everything. Thank you for everything you do for our kids. We see you and we admire you. I don't know how how you do it. Thank you very much. Thank you all. [applause] At this time, I'd like to invite the curriculum department to please come up

and help me honor our principles. >> Oh, okay. I thought someone else was coming up to >> Is anyone coming out to speak? >> Thank you. >> I was waiting for [laughter] a minute. >> Good evening everyone. I have the honor of introducing the principles and we're going to begin with our early childhood academy, Mrs. Lorena Trevinho. [applause] General Ricardo Sanchez Elementary, Miss Jesse de la Cruz, [applause] Rogera Jr. Elementary, Mr. Savas Chapa, [applause] Alberto Ancelia Bara Elementary, Mr. Armando Gutierrez, [applause] Ringold Elementary and Ace Elementary, Mr. Mario Science, [applause] Dr. Mario Ramirez, Elementary, Miss Adriana Gonzalez, [applause] John and Olivea Elementary, Miss Mary Lou Garcia, [applause] Laon Elementary, Miss Joanna Barera, >> [applause] >> Alto Bonito Elementary, Mr. Jose Inosa, Gruya Elementary, Mr. Damiro Bera. And we're going to continue with our middle schools.

Veterans Middle School, Mr. Henry Canu. Ringold Middle School, Miss Melinda Gonzalez. [applause] Guya Middle School, Miss Enelia Rios. And our Ace Middle School, Mr. Pedro Omar Pñena. [applause] And now for our high school principles. Our early college preparatory for Early College High School, Miss Melissa Salenas. [applause] Guya High School, Miss Elma Martinez, [applause] our alternative center, Miss Laara Barera, [applause] and last but not least, our Rio Grande City High School principal, Mrs. Mariel Monte Mayor. [applause] down there. Congratulations. Thank you for everything. They wanted them in order. Take your >> take your [applause] liking right here. I was hoping I didn't want to tell them about See, this is the minus. >> All right, we move on to item 6F, report on transportation issues and our plan to resolve the issues. >> Good evening, Madam

President, members of the board. Miss Garcia, superintendent of schools. Uh the transportation department continues to make significant progress in addressing operational challenges and improving overall service. Uh recent efforts have focused on repairing and maintaining buses to ensure safety and reliability. Additionally, the department has established transparent best practices uh promoting fairness and efficiency to benefit the entire department and to strengthen teamwork within the department as well. Uh we're also pleased uh to report the purchase of the five buses. I did, you know, communicate with the vendor. Two weeks from now, we should be receiving two of those buses. The other three are still waiting to be released by the company. So that is also coming. That is going to significantly impact our department as well. And overall, I would just like to state that our goal

is to provide safe and dependable services to our community. Thank you. >> Thank you. Any questions? We're Miss Spaniel, we're also getting an additional 10 buses with the purchase lease agreement. Am I am I correct on this? >> That is correct, sir. And that is an item there. I can discuss it already if you like. >> Uh just give us an update as to how many buses we're going to have in total and how that's going to impact our district uh just to uh for both the east and the west side of town. >> Okay. Right now we are getting 10 new buses. That's what we're looking at for the lease purchase agreement. So that's what we will be working towards. However, as far as how many go to the east side, how many go

to the west side, it that depends on the need. So, where the greater need is at, >> but it will have an impact on both both. >> Absolutely, sir. It's going to impact both in a very positive manner. I'm also looking at uh shortening some of these routes that are rather long and are creating issues there with our students. So, we're looking at adding additional routes, you know, at least one for the east side, one for the west side as well. And that'll help us, you know, making sure our students get to where they need to be on time. Miss Pñena, I want to commend you for running both the transportation and the maintenance department. There are two biggest one of the two biggest monsters that the district uh has to run and I commend

you on the work that you've done so far. I know that you would appreciate any help that would be sent your way, but I just want to recognize the job that you're doing there. You're doing an awesome job and I hope that your your uh peers and your workers around that surround you daily appreciate the hard work that you do day in and day out. >> Thank you, sir. I appreciate that. and a big hand to the people that work with me alongside me. So, if it wasn't for them, we couldn't do it together. So, >> has it, Miss Bea, has it gotten uh better with all the issues? I I know I haven't had complaints this week and last week. So, I I think is am I just not getting them or it's gotten

better? It's gotten better. I mean, we're progressing and broken down buses. It's gotten better. >> It is getting better. You know, we are repairing. We are, you know, doing what we need to do to get our buses back and running. So, it is getting better. We do see that as well. Not as much of the, you know, back and forth, what's happening, you know, this or, you know, the bus is taking too long and things of the sort. So, it is getting better. >> And, uh, just to make sure that the community knows on days that we have games, for example, with the GUA or or the high school games that they have away games that they have, you know, cheerleaders and and band, those days are still going to be the days that are

going to be a little bit more chaotic when there might be kids that are going to be uh home a little bit later. Do you all send some type of uh memo to the parents or do we do we communicate to the parents? >> Uh we don't we haven't sent anything out directly to the parents. I know that anytime that we have a game, it is going to be complicated. As a matter of fact, this Friday we have two games and it's 18. We've got 30 trips for that day. So, we've got to figure out how we're going to, you know, work on that so we get through it. But the times are extended in getting our kids home. >> I think communication with the parents might help. I think that if they're they know

already what to expect, they might be a little bit more understanding. >> Um, another question, Miss Garca, what happened to the Did we find those radios that were missing or No, nothing with that >> radios. >> Yeah. Was it um >> Can you >> Was it um was there something that we >> There were some radios. Yes, ma'am. And we were looking into that situation. We reached out to the company so that we can find where those radios at. They're not active, so I'll let you know that. So, they are not active. It's not like somebody's listening to anything that's going on on dispatch or anything of the sort. >> Okay. But you guys are addressing that issue. >> Yes, ma'am. Okay. >> M and I think I had I had I received a call

from Cleo one day. I was out out of town and I know that uh I had asked her if there's any way that Cleo that we could send like through a messenger or even post just put it out on Facebook on days that we're know we're going to have to double up routes because of these trips. That way parents already know that their kids will be running a little later than usual. I know that we had talked to you last time and just a reminder just for the parents. Uh that way they'll know, oh football games today, kids will run late. Expect them uh to be getting home a little later than usual. >> We will address it from now on. >> Thank you, Miss Pña. >> Thank you, ma'am. >> Section seven, public comments.

U Miss Gonzalez, did anybody sign up for public comments? from there. >> We do have one public comment, Madam President. It's from Mr. Edel Verera on item 8D1. >> Good afternoon everyone, Madame President, members of the board. Miss Garasa, superintendent of schools. uh may I approach so I can give you some information and I'm also going to give them to the chiefs. >> How much time does he have? Thank you. >> Thank you, sir. >> Good afternoon, community principles, directors. My name is Sebiel Barrera. I'm a community member of this beautiful city and I honestly miss to do this kind of researches. This is a very important one. I couldn't let it just go away. I saw this item on the agenda and I did my work. I put my time into it and I

just want to let the community know uh some facts. I'm not going to give my opinion. If I give my opinion, I will be here for an hour. So, I just want to keep it simple and just go with the facts. On page number one of this package that I gave you, you can see the bond election from 2021, four years ago. On Proposition A, as you can see, it says two warehouses cafeteria distribution for $3 million. Right? I highlighted it for you and I circle it as well. So on the second page, as you can see, I I was looking for for the money spent on those on that item, which was the $3 million. And I know that uh two purchases were made. The first one was a a building next to the

Pay Ford dealership here in town. Uh there's a building that is abandoned and it's also known as the Batman cave. It's full of bats. So that's where where I started getting my my research done because I was like, well, they want to use this for cafeteria distribution, yet it's full of bats and it's it's not worth it. So, I was looking for for the contract and for the the documents where they make the the sale where the school district make the the purchase. So, before I was doing that, I was looking for the appraisal value. As you know, an appraisal value, it's a requirement by by financial institutions before you buy something. Uh, I'm pretty sure that most of you have bought houses or have uh built something. That's the number one thing that a

bank will require in order to prevent these kind of issues. Uh an appraise value, it's mainly performed by a third party, a a company that specializes in getting the actual value of land and any construction building. So, I couldn't find it. So, I was like, "Well, if you buy a $100,000 house, it's a requirement by law. Why?" I couldn't find this one. So, I was like, "Well, maybe I'll find it later." So, I went ahead and I I was able to get a a copy of the contract, which is on page number three. The school district paid $1.75 million, $1,750,000 for that. So my first impression was like, well, the appraisal value should be a little bit higher than that in order to buy something. So I went to the appraisal district, which is on

the last page. And the value of that property, to my impression, it was at 1.28 million, $500,000 less. So my question to you, well actually it was for the two gentlemen that are absent, Mr. Noi Castillo and Basilio Variel, they were the ones in charge of doing this. And me as a city commissioner, I can tell you that we discussed very important things on our executive sessions. And especially when you're going to buy something out of $2 million, you need to protect yourselves. You need to protect the money from the community. you need to protect the money of the public institution you're representing. So, I'm pretty sure this was not done in ignorance. I am certain that this was done in purpose. Why spending half a million dollars more than what is appraised? Which I

know the answer, but I cannot tell you. I told you was not going to be my opinion. My question now to the district is now that you have it on the agenda and you're going to have it for discussion just I just want to give you uh my two cents on this uh please be very careful on what the decision will be because now you know for a fact that if you're going to sell it you can only sell it for what is appraised right which is a 1.28 million and you already $100,000 $500,000 short. So, you don't have the money to build something. Uh, it's going to cost you a couple of millions more. So, I just want you to understand that this is very serious and it's al actually embarrassing for me to

be here tonight addressing these issues. >> I do have time, Mr. Meda. >> Thank you. So, thank you so much. >> Thank you. That's the only public comment, Madam President. >> All right, let's move on to section eight. Section A, finance um finance reports report on tax collections for the month of September 2025. >> So all this is in consent, Madam President. So we'll need a motion to approve all of consent agenda that includes a finance, business, human resources, superintendent, board governance, all that. It's under one motion. >> Okay. So, Madam President, I move that we approve the consent agenda as >> and it's uh that consists of it's item 8A Roman number one and then through 8 E Roman number one B. >> Can I have a second? >> Second. >> All those in

favor raise your right hand and motion passes. >> So, it went up to >> Yeah. So, now we're back to nine action items. >> Nine business. Okay. >> Yes, ma'am. Business and operations facilities. >> Item 98. Consider and take possible action on request to use school facilities. uh Gruya High School cafeteria from Anel Monte Mayor for East Side Pageant. >> Madame President, just as it's explained there, uh Mr. Anel Monte Mayor is requesting to use the Gria High School cafeteria for the east side on Sunday, October the 25th. We ask for your approval. Can >> So move as presented. >> Second. >> All those in favor raise your right hand and motion passes. Section 10, Office and Human Resources. Item 10A, consider and take possible action on library and performance pay program. Good evening, Madam

President, members of the board. Miss Gota, superintendent of schools. On item 10A, we respectfully submit for approval a librarian incentive ambassador program. This is our performance-based initiative for certified librarians. This is a second initiative. If you recall, we did approve the campus administration with the ambassador program for for for all our campus administration. This is the second initiative we we bring out to the board and it's the library incentive ambassador. I did include all the framework. It talks about the rubrics included in your packet. It gives you the breakdown how it's paid and how it's evaluated per domain. There's four domains we're looking at it. I don't know if you want me to go into detail, but uh this is very important and it is budget neutral. Will not cost the district anything. we we're

pulling the funds from from the TIA a lotment. >> Thank you. >> The rubric I think was based out of like a t test instrument or test or >> what what we did on the framework and I'll give credit to to Mr. Ricardo Solis and and his and his committee. Uh they met with all librarians and and they created this uh initiative and and from what I've seen Mr. Pñena I wasn't at the meeting but what I've seen it's it's it mirrors the ambassador program for campus administration. So then the breakdown is very similar in nature also. >> All right. Thank you >> madam president. I so move as presented. >> Can I have a second? >> All those in favor raise your right hand. Motion passes. Item 10B. Consider and take possible action on

resolution voter approval tax ratification. Madame President, members of the board, uh, as you know, we have a a voter approval tax ratification election that's been called and early voting begins next week. And in anticipation, whether approve or not approve, we need to prepare either way. If the voters approve it, then the resolution before you uh consists of two major components. Number one, it mirrors the the uh compensation plan approved by the board, which we talked about how it's committed to raises if the voters approve it. And we also wanted to create through a resolution a late h higher notice of of 1126. So those are two things involved in that in that resolution. >> All right. All right. Can I have a motion to approve item 10 as presented? >> Uh m president. So move

as presented. >> Second. >> All those in favor raise your right hand and motion passes. Item 10 C, consider and take possible action on 2025 2026 November uh Vader employee pay schedule. >> So for the Vader election, uh we do have a compensation schedule for employees and non-employees who will be working the Vader election. There's a breakdown of the hourly rate. It gives you the presiding judges, the alternate judge, the clerks involved, and their hourly rates. And again, there's there's a mix of employees and non-employees. So it break it gives you a breakdown there of how we're handling both um both situations. So we recommend approval of this compensation schedule for the Vader election. >> Dr. Selenas, is that the going rate or is that customary or did you do you know? >> We we

compared Mr. Good question. We compared with what the county's doing and and other elections we've done in the past. So that's the number we came up. Yes, sir. That's the breakdown. So it's I would say yes. >> I think it was higher than last year. So, it's probably a better rate because there were there's a lot of complaints last time about the the amounts >> and and for the for the record and transparency, as you can see on the notes that I provided there, if you're a let's say you're a par pair professional in the district, you're being reassigned for that for that time. So, your rate or the rates on the schedule, whichever one's higher, that's what you'll be paid. So, we want to point that out. >> Yeah, I'm glad you specified that.

That's good. >> Yes, sir. >> Because sometimes I I know that people have question if they're getting paid from the school and then they're getting paid for that. And so, no, it's either or. Correct. We reassign them for that for that assignment since it's a district election. And number two, anything on an hourly employee. Anything before or after obviously is is extra. >> Okay. >> Madam President, so move is presented on the agenda. >> I'll second that. >> Any further discussion or questions? All those in favor raise your right hand. And motion passes. Item 10D. Consider and take possible action on resolution for Vader and Late Hires. So m Madam President, I apologize to the board. I did submit that item twice. A and D are the same. Correct. >> Um >> I'll blame board

book, but that was my fault. >> It's the same item. >> It says late. This one just added late hires. >> It's a resolution mentions the compensation schedule is approved by the board. And the second thing was anyone hired before January 1st would if the baiter is approved then they would qualify for the rates. >> We can just skip that one. >> Okay. >> Does it does it require action? Right. No, it doesn't. >> There's no there's a time. There's no timer. I I made a mistake and A and D are the same. >> They're the same thing. So, we we can skip D because we already approved A, right? Correct. Yes. Okay. We can just omit D. >> Thank you. All right. We move on to curriculum and instruction item 11A. Consider and take

possible action on RHS culinary arts to participate in cooking around the world competition in Florida. This initiative is designed to support campus and district leaders in developing innovative strategies to recruit and retain appropriately certified bilingual and ESL teachers who serve emerging bilingual students. In addition, it focuses on preparing and supporting teachers currently serving EB students who are in the process of obtaining their bilingual and ESL certification during the current school year while under the approved bilingual exception and ESL waiver. as required 10% of bilingual education aotment which is 450,000 of which 140,000 will be used for staff development funding will be available through 199 state bilingual. Federal guidelines mandate that migrant

Due to the large number of migrant students, it has become increasingly difficult to rely solely on campus staff to meet these requirements. Therefore, we respectfully request the allocation of migrant tutors districtwide to maintain compliance and ensure that all migrant students receive the academic support and services guaranteed under federal and state regulations. The tutors will begin in November and continue through April with funding provided through title one part C migrant education program. We respectfully request the allocation of migrant tutors to ensure our students receive the support guaranteed under federal and state mandates. Madam President, so move was presented. I know that the principles appreciate when they get their

tutors uh to assist with their migrant students being the fact that they they get in late to school uh later on in the year and they leave earlier in the year.
