Isn't that nice? I did it that morning That's my question. I like to be I really just very That's the beauty of technology. Yes. Yeah, that's very cool. Thanks. Yeah, that's very cool. Absolutely. I will keep you in the loop. I just saw you That's in the Thank you. >> This meeting of the Town Board of Board of Trustees called to order. The presence of a quorum has been established. The meeting has been duly called and the notice of the meeting has been posted in the time and manner required. Thank you all for coming. >> [laughter] >>

002We don't We do not have any public participation. Now, we're going to consider consideration and possible action concerning an order canvassing the returns and declaring the results of May 2nd, 2026 school trustee election. Dr. Crawford. Thank you, Ms. Atkins. Uh behind exhibit A in your packet um and also behind the actual resolution on the order of canvassing, you do have the results from the Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 general election for single-member district 4 and single-member district 2. As you know, there was uh single-member district 2 was unopposed. Single member district 4, you had Kendra Bercher and you had Cody Leverett. The results are as tabulated. Y'all all can read. Uh there they are for your review. Ms. Atkins. Can I get a motion to adjourn? Madam President. Yes, sir. Did you say to adjourn? No,

003she's She's She's She's going to have approved the canvas. Madam President, I move we approve the canvas. I second it. All in favor? I. Anybody opposed? Mr. Leverett. I vote yes. >> [laughter] >> The motion has been carried. They seem way too eager to that motion. Just one comment, if I could. Kudos Kudos to my opponent. She ran a great campaign. I think she'll do a great job. Um I know we've talked some about uh voter turnout. Seems like every time. Um, I thought we had a good turnout. I know there's been some discussion about, you know, having it on Saturday. We have some data. Uh, the Saturday turnout was actually the lowest turnout of any day that we had. So, as y'all were looking at that, um, maybe some some earlier 7:00, you know,

0048:00 to 5:00 is hard for people that work, but uh, the results are the results and and that's not a, you know, that's just something I know y'all will probably talk about in the future. So, uh, there is that data on the Saturday that that was the worst day of of turnout, absolutely. So, um, where you say it was a pretty day and people didn't want to go vote, but if the weather was bad, they probably wouldn't have wanted to go vote either. So, uh, anyway, but I appreciate it. Enjoyed my time here. I appreciate the opportunity to serve. I've learned a lot. That's very educational. And like I said before, I think we have a very excellent school district, but there's always room for improvement. Okay. Just uh, one thing from the administrator's point

005of view, thank y'all for your service here. Uh, Mr. Newsom, I appreciate you being given the 6 years you did. Mr. Leverett, the 3 years that you did. Y'all have a uh, unlimited access to the Rose Room. Uh, Friday night football games. So, you've got a built-in date for you and your wives to be able to uh, enjoy uh, Friday night football and certainly uh, the privilege [snorts] of of your service here. You're always going to be welcome at whatever we've got. So, thank you for your service. Did we get a married status? Sure. Done. There you go. You're free to come to any school board meeting at any time. >> [laughter] >> Do they get their name plates? >> 3 minutes to talk. Oh, you traded me in. I think Mr. LeCroy and Mr.

006Sapp Oh, did you have something? I'm sorry. Uh, yes. Thank you, Madam President. No, I was just going to say um kind of echo some of the things that uh Trustee Levert said um when we move forward on on hopefully expanding our uh time that we're able to vote. I think he brings a valid point that that Saturday really was not that big of a turnout compared to the other ones. I don't know if that's because people didn't know about it or maybe it was a beautiful day and and they decided they didn't want to waste, you know, 5 minutes going to go vote. But, I also like to tell Weddle that I I really have enjoyed working with him and yeah, and uh we sat beside each other for the last year and uh

007I I I enjoyed my time with him. Same Artis and and Cody just really a pleasure getting to know y'all and and um serving with y'all side by side and um really just look forward to see what else y'all have in store. Please come back to visit and cheer us on. Public participation. >> [laughter] >> Now. Can I have a motion to adjourn? So, oh. Get out here. Second. All in favor? Aye. Anybody opposed? This meeting of the Tyler ISD Board of Trustees is coming to a close.
