001What is a school board? >> It's a lot of things. [music] >> It's seven volunteers who graciously give their time, their vision, and their leadership [music] >> to make our schools a better place. It's people who set the budgets and make the big decisions. >> That's how school be the best dad you can be. [music] They select the amazing leaders and establish the policies that give us the support we need to create safe, caring and welcoming environments [music] for our students where we can learn and discover our potential. From the [music] classrooms >> to the courts and fields to the libraries >> to the stages >> to the playgrounds >> and to the workshops >> all across the [music] district. We're grateful for our school board because they believe that our future is [music] public and that public schools are a place for all >> where ideas are born, >> where leaders are made, >> where friendships are formed, >> and where the next generations [music] become the best generations. So, for all of the things you do for us, >> from kindergarteners to seniors, >> we [music] want to say thank you to the Birdville ISD school board. >> Thank you. [singing] [music]
