001My calling has always been to serve through [music] ministry and through education. As a Dotto ISD trustee, my mission is to support our students, strengthen our schools, and uplift this community I've called home for many, many years. I try to be involved with the students as much as I can so that and they keep me going. Uh on those tough times when we have to make hard decisions, uh I try to keep their faces in the forefront so that I can make a good conscious decision. [screaming] seeing that these kids are finishing one aspect of their life and I had a part of that. Uh this is my pay, this is my reward right here. Seeing them celebrate with their parents, their friends, their family, uh it does a lot because it shows that this

002community is still uh with this district. Everything I do [music] is about service. So it being a pastor is about serving people. Serving on the school [music] board is about serving little people, but they're still people. And so I try to always ground my decisions, what I do, [music] my questioning based off of serving. They are trusting [music] you uh with the words you say and to benefit their life and so their lives. And so, um, every [music] week, uh, when I, uh, give a little sermonet, if you will, uh, to them, [music] I make sure that it's something they can gravitate to, uh, feast off of, [music] but I make sure it's correct information and it's not, uh, going [music] to go against something they may be taught at home. Uh, I don't look

003at it as [music] being a part of being a boss. I look at more as lead servants. Uh, we make sure that everyone has what they need [music] for the district. And so that service is real important to me. >> [music]
