001hello this is Yolanda Greaves we have a quick update from Kelly Grill Kelly welcome to Around the Clock thank you thank you for having me Kelly girl is the executive director for the HCA and she here she is here to chat with us very quickly about an upcoming fundraiser SL amazing concert tell us about it I was so excited we do this once a year this is actually our fourth year of having a celebrity uh series fundraiser so we bring in a national act uh as a fundraising concert and the sherett markone uh who I love and it was high in my bucket list uh he has that song Walking in Memphis he was the uh one of grammy as best new artist in 1991 um and he will be there in a very intimate
002concert setting uh as our our largest fundraiser of the year so just if someone's not familiar with HAC which I don't know why but they might not be where is it and how can they come participate in this amazing concert it is 98 Hayden row Street which is right um in front of or next to hopkington high school on Route 85 and uh you can go to our website hop artcenter.org to purchase those tickets um it's going to be a wonderful evening uh the ticket includes an open bar and then some light snacks um but really what's exciting about it is um being in that small space with such an amazing person he's an incredible Storyteller um and we're really really looking forward to a very special evening great well just I know we usually
003talk about Ashlen things but hop the HC is really a regional Art Center which I think is an amazing story yeah um so we'll get to that another time but for this little segment uh Mark Cohen Walking on Memphis great show um what is the most special thing for you about the Hopkinson center of the Arts that for people who have never been there would enjoy as they come to this concert so one of the things that struck me this year more than anything is everybody you know has sort of their leaning most people have their Source leaning of art some people like Ceramics some people like dance some people like music but what I've noticed is the through line is community it's really about being together and socializing with people and feeling a sense
004of belonging so the art brings us the joy and the community brings us to belonging that's my favorite thing especially in events like this well there are still a few tickets left so hopefully we'll see some of you at Mark Cohen this Saturday the 28th of September at the HDA in hopkington and Kelly thanks for being with us thanks
