001another event that has happened that we had an opportunity to hear about is the clocker golf tournament josh abrams was at that event and he's here to tell us about how it went thanks yolanda the ashland clocker club the fundraising organization for ashland high school sports recently hosted a charity golf tournament at the blackstone national golf club in sutton the sold out event was played out under perfect weather conditions and raised thousands of dollars clocker club vice president and golf tournament chairperson brian casine provided more details about the tournament and explains why this is truly a community event so our main fundraiser this year was to have a golf outing something that we'd like to do annually it's not only for our members but for other people within the community who want to come out
002and support their clocker club so we went down to blackstone national golf course on may 20th and uh we're able to raise a good amount of funding for the clocker club and it was a beautiful day and successful for for not only those that participated but for our sponsors as well we also had an opportunity for local businesses to sponsor a hole so you know for a fee they could uh have their sign um you know posted at each of the of the 18 holes and so as golfers came up they saw the local businesses there to give a little bit of a flare for for ashland well the mission of the clock club is to provide um kind of excess funding and excess ideas for the different sports programs throughout the high school and
003the the groups that uh those teams that worked with middle school okay and uh just give us a few examples of things that clocker club has done to support ashland athletics well you know as of late it's been it's been tricky to fill a lot of the requests um but our big one is uh providing the huddle software for the different teams that they use that to break down gameplay and film and so forth we've done weight room at the middle school we've helped offset some of the costs for the uniforms and things like that where can folks learn more about the clocker club uh it's pretty simple i mean we're on all the all the uh social media but most important is probably just go to the website it's uh clockclub.org and uh that's
004where you find everything or links to everything we have thank you josh for that uh update on the clocker golf tournament the golf tournament is always one of the fun ways that the clocker club does fundraising for their scholarships as well as all the events and athletes that they sponsor in our clocker country
