001game of the 2023 field hockey season here at Ashland high school and the William Kunis coach William Kunis Athletic Complex the opponents today are the visiting Hopkinton hillers and of course your clockers are in white the uh the coin flip determined who would have the ball looks like Hopkinson has it to start Hopkinton will be going from left to right [Music] the starting lineup for Hopkinton includes Kylie Locke Camille perloff Lawrence dechay City Lily Anderson Rhys interante Carolyn Kane and the ball has been dropped and the whistle is blown Ali LePage Cali Weston Zoe Adams and Ella Fowler the starting lineup for the clockers the goalkeeper is Heidi hausmann number double zero number three Payton Tripp number four Lily ishac number six alaiah halek number nine Ashley Forster number 10 Haley Katz number 11 Abby

002silverwig number 12 Peyton McMullen number 13 shower Schiller number 21 Ali hickey and number 22 Emma Chapman this is Bob terosian doing the play-by-play for you here at Walker field we have a setting sun off to my left and pretty soon it'll be down behind the leaves right now the entire field is in Shadow apparently I can't see any sun out there and we saw Hopkinton take the take the center pass to start the game Hopkinton will have it for the first quarter and the second quarter and the clockers will uh will take the center past the third and fourth we play three a fourth four 15-minute Quarters here in field hockey it's a running clock unless there is a goal or an injury with the weather today I don't know if you uh uh

003were in the air conditioning today or not but it's very very hot the time of this game was pushed back from 5 30 to a 6 30 start to accommodate the hot conditions the officials on the field will call um unscheduled actually for the game uh time-outs for the girls to have some refreshments of water to cool off and keep them keep the body temperatures down it's uh it's in the 80s here it feels like 90. I think it's around 85 86. right now the ball has been mostly down to my right on the uh Hoppington offensive end of the field it's been over the 50 into Ashland offensive territory once or twice while I was giving the lineups and setting the game up here we're playing um more than the football field we're playing

004a blue line if you can see it on your TV the white football lines are not relevant to field hockey we have blue on the sidelines blue on the end and the circle area is marked in blue as well Ashland has the ball on the far side and it went out of bounds off of Ashland so uh Hopkinton has a free hit on the sideline on the far side I can't get a number there but the pass back goes to one of her teammates at the 40 pass over to number four here for Hopkinton which is ishac she dribbles the ball forward intercepted by Ashland one of the defensive people but from Ashland Illy hickey looked like was the one that accepted that she passed it over to Ashley Forster it goes back and forth

005increase interante for uh the hillers and we have number three Peyton Tripp moving the ball up on the sideline on the near side it's intercepted and intercepted Again by Hopkinton and the ball is out of bounds [Music] okay we had an out of bounds Situation off of Ashland so um so Hopkinton had the ball on the sideline it's called the side in on the blue line the ball went out of bounds off the end line off of Hopkinton so Ashland will have a 16-yard hit coming out taking the ball and it's out of bounds taking the ball uh for the clock is was Emma Chapman but the ball was intended for Peyton triplin that went off for a stick out of bounds it'll be a side in for Hopkinton taking that side in will be

006uh what sound three number four and she doesn't pass the ball she takes it out on her own which is allowed you can pass it or you can self-stat they call it the ball goes over to Midfield it's number 20 on that far side out of bounds 16-yard hit the 16 by the way is the top of the circle if you can see the Blue Line uh this the circle is 16 yards away from each post and there's a straight line at the top which is at the 16. so it's called the 16-yard hit and the team that has the ball or he has the uh the free hit from that point can take it anywhere along the 16 but it has to be straight out from where it went out of bounds shot by

007Hopkinton and saved by uh husband apparently it was out of bounds first before she hit her pad so it'll be Ashland ball a 16-yard hit a Ticky on the near side trying to get the ball up to trip and accepted I'll do it on three trip the wall stick interference there but it's not called because she maintains possession and the ref finally saw her enough and she calls the ball calls the free hip for the clockers uh Tripp didn't have anybody over there to pass it too and the ball went out of bounds it'll be a a green side in where it went out of bounds okay the defense on the all these free hits has to be five yards away can't move until the ball is moved foot against the clockers that was cats

008free hit for Hopkinton what the time she took it and we have an obstruction call going against Hopkinton it'll be clock of ball again taken away by Hopkins out of bounds off off the green will be white side in it's actually forced to take in the ball no she set it up for her teammate Haley Ali hickey I think he tries to get it up to uh Haley Katz Katz passes it over to Foster there's a violation against Hopkinton I didn't catch what that was I think it might have been a foot which is called advancing and clockers will get the free hit with violation occurred it's a free hit self-staught by uh a lahalic and she tries to get it into the circle doesn't make it in but it is off of uh Ashland

009so it'll be a 16-yard hit coming out for Hopkinton oh oh 25 minutes it was off of Hopkinton so it's a 25 yard hit for Ashland and it's a nice play by uh Allen Hallett tries to get it into the circle but she's unable to the 25 yard hit is a there's a situation where the ball is off the defense and it again comes straight out from where it went out of bounds but instead of the 16 it goes to the 25 and the offense gets the ball not the defense same rules apply five yards away for all the defensive players and uh and the offensive as well and we talk about the circle a lot the circle is important because you can't score unless there's some kind of a um a stick touch or

010shot inside the circle can't be a goal unless it's uh it's shot from or deflected in the circle area so it's important to get it into the circle and then get your shot off clock is a maintaining possession in the circle now the the big thing now is either to score a goal or maybe get a foul called against the uh the defense and then the clock as well that would have a a corner and once that gets set up point out the particulars on how a corner is taken by the offensive team that's Haley Katz with the ball moving it up inside the 30 taken away by Roger santri at the fall called against the clockers it'll be Hopkinton Ball but it has to go back to where the foul occurred which is I

011don't know if she's got it in the right spot there official will tell her she's at the 50. okay free hit green 50. and that's an aerial pass attempted that's legal and it gets through the defense and number 14 for Hopkins intake uh Wiley Chapman she got the ball and got I'm sorry that's not Wiley Chapman that's 14 for the clock for the healers that would follow and she got a shot off but it missed the net went out of bounds there was a clock or ball at the 16. another shot that wouldn't count unless it was deflected in the circle Say by houseman hopping to maintain some possession it is intercepted over there by single digit clocker number six Ayla Hallett another save by houseman and the clock is trying to move the ball

012down to our left and get it out of the defensive end and get some chances on their offensive end uh violation there must have hit a foot which is illegal and it's a Hopping and free hit again just outside the 40-yard line she drives the ball gets through to a green it's in the circle violation on the green ball comes out to the 16. 16 yard hit clockers halek will take that right on the 16. nice drive out it makes its way through to McMullen McMullen maintains possession she's inside the 25. keeps it in bounds it's taken away a nice Edge pass by Hopkinton stick Edge I mean nice pass up by the clock is but nobody there in white to pick it up Hopkinton against the ball Lauren strechay dribbles tries to get it

013up field clockers are checking while keeping the ball in it's inside the 20. in the circle is a white stick trying to gain possession and get a shot on goal didn't happen without a bounds I know it's on the field it's a free hit for Hopkinton on the field it's not a side in just outside the 10. clock is intercept the ball again it's driven in our attempt to drive into the circle look it looked like it was going to make it in but it was intercepted by the Hopkin and defense we have a stick interference there called against Hopkinton it'll be a free hit for the clock is outside the circle but inside the 25 and that ball mean that means that ball has to be dribbled or past five yards before it goes

014into the circle and that was just accomplished by the clocker with the ball Nathan good possession that was halleck tries to drive it in is stopped by the Hopkinton defense and Hopkinton brings it out it was a nice attempt by the clockers but it uh didn't last very long okay the temperature set up there on the far side pass into the center area it's in the circle now for Hopkinton excuse me attempted shot foot it'll be Ashland ball oh I guess not I guess it was a I guess it was an Ashland foot so it's a and that was inside the circle so that means we have a corner Hopkinton has a corner in the corner six players for Ashland will go to the 50. four will stay in the net with the goalie as

015a pass out from the end line there's two spots one on each side of the net where the offensive team has a chance a choice of putting the ball into play which is being done right now by hop content you'll pass it out to somebody it has to leave the circle and then come back in before it can be a goal that was right on the line I don't I couldn't tell whether it was out or not play goes on if it didn't saved by houseman if it didn't leave the circle the official makes a note of that and um play goes on and if a goal is scored and the ball never left the circle it's disallowed okay there'll be a free hit side in actually nope wrong line wrong line yep he's straight

016and they're out yeah Blue Line yep the side in uh it's about the 11 yard line for Hopkinton again she's got a pass a dribble at five yards before it goes into the circle as soon as she moves the ball the defense the Ashland defense can move in and try to take it away we have we're just about to end the first quarter here that was fast there goes the horn that's the end of the first quarter here at the cutest uh Athletic Complex here at Ashland High School in the first game of the 2023 Tri-Valley League field hockey season with the visiting Hopkinton Hill is playing your Ashland clockers no score after one quarter we play Four 15-minute quarters Hopkinton Wills start the second quarter again with possession that's the end of the break

017between the first and second periods here at Kunis field at Ashland High School the whistle is blown the teams are on their way out again for the start of the second period no score looks like number 14 there for uh Hopkinton will take the senate pass out the Fowler girls usually pass that back to a teammate but it doesn't have to go back it can go forward the Ashland can't cross that 50-yard line until the ball is moved one way or the other but most teams will pass it back followers setting up to pass it to her teammate closest to her who is seven yards away but that was a decoy and it goes to what what entry and she passes it up over the 50 follow picks it up moves it in almost into

018the circle I think she's calling a dangerous hit on that I don't know why it was below the shoulder the stick cannot go above the shoulder on any normal hit it's considered to be dangerous um if a ball is deflected high as long as the player uses the stick in a safe manner she can reach up high and try to deflect the ball downward the ball goes over to The Far Side clockers pick it up and it's out of bounds I heard a whistle oh he's pointing towards Hopkinton he'll be side in Hopkinton no no Society in Ashland I thought he was maybe having to move the ball back further ball crosses fields and comes over to our side on the Press Box side of the field here at the cunis complex again Hopkinton maintains

019possession there was just a short possession by the clockers and Hopkins and managed to take the ball away I would say at this point with uh less than two minutes gone in the second period in the 15 minutes in the first at Hopkinton right now has had the the territorial advantage okay with dribbling into the circle a shot save I Housman that shot was taken by number 11 Camille perolov okay and that was a that's a 25-yard hit it was off of Ashland straight out from where the ball went out of bounds uh okay let's use green possession before I went into the circle it's in the circle what do we have so you call the fall I didn't see it foreign crossed in front of the Ashland play unless it hit her foot if

020it did in the circle that's a foul it's a corner for Hopkinton and Ashland is setting up the play again with husband in goal we've got halleck and check numbers out here Chapman hickey and I didn't catch the fourth number along with Housman in there as soon as the ball is injected into the circle the defense the Ashland defense can work get on down there's a shot on goal I don't think there was a save it's somebody stopped it but I don't think it was houseman didn't make it through problem in the maintain his possession in the circle look like an obstruction there though yup she did call it number 11 obstructed you have to be if there's a if there's a player from the other team within playing distance of the ball you have

021to be moving that ball you have to be dribbling it and if you're not that's an obstruction call that goes against the person who doesn't who's not moving the ball has possession but is not moving the ball and that's apparently from what my point of view is what happened okay that ball went out of bounds off of Ashland it's uh no yeah she tried to move it up to the 20 and the official on the far side is getting it further down inside the 15 actually I wanted to find a construction there against the clock goes yeah oh well you want to get yeah right it was against the clock free hit Pockets here and that was I don't know what the call was there oh obstruction against the caucus free hit and accepted by

022the gravel number 16 playing defense in there on defense now ball is passed out dribble up the sideline but there's nobody there it'll be a side in for the clockers Alec has taken that side in she might go back she might go forward she's got to find somebody open try to get it to them she's going to go back it's the only one that's open and now we go forward but there's no white jersey here Ken Hopkins and dribbles the length of the field 50 yards it's off of Hopkinton 16-yard hit clock foreign makes it through to the 50 almost to the 50 but unable to maintain control and Hopkinton intercepts the ball dribbled Down By Zoe Adams violation against top against the clock is rather it's a free hit at the 35-yard line a

023football 35-yard line I use those as reference points to make it easier for you to see where the ball is located but uh deal hockey only uses the 16-yard circle the 25 on either end as far as markings go on the field the 50 is just a point to start the pass back after a goal or the beginning of a quarter okay we have uh possession by the clock as halek they had taken the free hit he passes it up that was trip bye now what do we got there must have hit her foot but we get it right back and trip again she's got a teammate open on the corner couldn't get it through it's inside the 25 now that's inside the 15 we can get a corner here if we can get it

024in the circle well that's a free hit outside the circle before the clock is and again you have to remember that free hit can't go directly into the circle it has to be moved dribbled five yards by the by the person taking the free hit or pass to a teammate in touch by a teammate before it goes into the circle so there's a skill involved there to get it into the circle and we are unable to get it to a teammate it's out of bounds off-white it'll be a 16-yard hit green okay I would think that the silver silver weed was uh too close and the official gave it back to Hopkinton that can be a Cod situation too if it continues to do it if they're not five yards away okay that task goes

025way up out of bounds it'll be a clock or 16-yard hit yeah the defense has to be five yards away on all three hits and if they're not uh they can't play the ball and the officials discretion to give a green a yellow or red card we don't go to red cards in that usually because once you give them a green card and they're out for two minutes it doesn't happen again the yellow can be a five or a 10. the team would play shorts like ice hockey that was a foot green foot but Ashland maintained possession so no whistle the official had his arm up pointing in the Ashland offensive Direction okay we have a corner a clock is out of a corner fouled by Hopkinton in the circle no it looked like he

026made the corner call oh it's all about it went out of bounds okay we couldn't see it from here the ball is kind of blending in with the uh the Green Turf in the in the dark now in the Twilight anyhow it's a 25 yard hit for the clockers again five yard pass or dribble before it goes into the circle as an aerial dribble the aerial dribble is uh is a skill is a is a obtained worked on diff hard drill hard skill rather where the player is able to dribble the ball um on her stick off the ground and make and Advance the ball of course but she can't go directly into a defensive player she has to try to go around a shot on goals saved by housing off of housing so that'll

027be a 25-yard hit [Applause] nope called the corner of that well if it's intentionally sent out of bounds over the goal line the official can call a corner um I had a problem with that because she was making the save and it didn't look like she intentionally it was just the angle of the ball the way it was coming in it went over the inline anyhow we have a Hopping that has a corner it's outside the circle it comes back in pass over to the left side taken away by the clock is briefly shot on goal stopped by the defense and we have a pass out to Haley Katz Katz moves it out almost outside the 25 but it's out of bounds again side in off Hopkinton side and caucus yeah I don't I don't

028see that as being an intentional save out by houseman but no harm done nice there is a call in field hockey which is unlike ice hockey it's oh we have a foot there Hopkinton Ashland ball free hit bounces through but it makes its way out unable to control it on the nearly cats on the near side so it'll be a Hopkinton side in again again Hopkinton is continuing to maintain uh field advantage here and um you know that's off of Ashland again it's awful difficult to um when the team is dominating the offensive zone like that to keep them out of the net so hopefully the clock is going to turn it around we have 340 left in the second period here side in by Hopkinton taken away briefly by the clock of defense that

029was Chapman I think hickey that was hickey okay that was high that was dangerous now she whacked away at it raised it up that was uh what Don three and uh it was shoulder height that's an easy call for the official it'll be a free hit from that spot for the clockers and we're looking for the clock is three little over three minutes to go here to Mount some kind of an offense get the ball down the other end so we don't are not in danger of giving up a goal again it's intercepted by Hopkinton moved up nice stop by uh Chapman I was at hickey now that she passes it up bound so that was um that was 21 that was hickey now the ball is inside the 25 or right on the 25

030which means she's got a passive dribble before it goes into the circle five yeah then she did she had a teammate take the pass as a pass over but no shot and it's up to by the defense and I don't know what the officials saw it looked like uh that was number three for the clock as Peyton Tripp looked like she made a nice stop with a stick whistle blue Corner called we've got the Schiller in the net Chapman Hallock and somebody else which number I can't take uh along with the houseman injections in it's outside the circle it's back in it's deflected by the clock is shot that'll be a goal dangerous too high oh okay yeah dangerous too high I thought the I thought the call was going to go against the clock

03116-yard hit we have 120 to go in the half the ball can be raised on goal to try to score a goal but it can't be dangerous to field players it has to be lifted nice save by houseman and pass in Hopkin and ball in the circle oh what another oh that was an excellent save [Music] and the official is calling it a 25-yard hit I believe yeah 25 here because it went off the goalie two excellent says husband's key husband is keeping them in the game here we have 40 seconds to go in the first half uh broken play by Hopkinton and we have uh Peyton Tripp moving the ball up she is fouled it'll be a free hit clock or is that around the 40-yard line 30 seconds to go and oh a

032little bit of a Miss hit sometimes the biscuits have a way of making their bouncing and making their way through obstruction by number 10 Hopkinton it'll be a free hit clock is inside the 25 is 13 seconds to go the ball is way out of bounds the clock's going the oppon's going to go off before the clock has got a chance to take this free hit unless he stops the clock yeah so that will end it the clock is do not get a chance to take that free hit inside the 25. so at the end of uh one half here at Kunis field we have no score the Hopkinton Hills have a had a territorial advantage in this game so far they'll switch ends hop into I mean Ashland will get the ball to start

033the third and fourth periods and hopefully they can generate a little more offense than they did in the first half welcome back to the coach Bill Kunis Athletic Complex here at Ashland high school over the second half of the opening game of the 2023 Tri-Valley and Ashland High School field hockey season we have the Hopkinton Hills the visitors here second half no score pass back from uh uh take is taken by Ashland that was uh Billy ishak taking the making the pass back initially and the ball goes back over the 50 and Hopkins and gains possession here I'm sure um coach Molly Bennett Foley and uh Melissa misspelli Nichols are imploring the Bachelor clocker team to get that ball down into the offensive end get it out of here uh in a defensive end and

034try to get that and try to get some opportunities I don't think the Hopkinton goalie made any saves in the first half so we'd like to change that Heidi hausmann on the other hand has probably made about 10 a couple on the spectacular of the spectacular variety caucus have the ball let's trip dribbles down she's being harassed sticking Affairs call it wasn't called it was signaled but was able to maintain possession so the whistle did not blow trip again taken away um that's Pearl off doubles in that shot was outside the circle well you know I guess it was inside and it was misplayed house was very upset at herself it looked like she made the save and it might have uh might have had a little Back Spin on it and instead of kicking

035it she tried to move it out with her glove and she was unable to get it in so just a minute and a half a minute 27 seconds into the SEC so third quarter second half the Hopkinton Hills are on the board I didn't catch that was number 11 actually who took that shot so I can tell you who scored the goal that was prologue Camille perloff for the healers I'm sure husband would like to have that back in any case we need to move that ball out into the offensive zone I'll do Thon 3 is uh constantly of in possession of that ball and setting up her teammates left and right mostly on the right this is a right-handed game by the way those sticks are made for a right to play with the

036right hand the you cannot use the rounded back part of the stick that's illegal you can only use the front side or the edges ball is out of bounds it'll be a side in clockers up at about the 20. that's uh hickey is going to take the side in I'm sure as you'd like to find a teammate over the 50. she could dribble that out herself that would be a self-stat that's fine that's legal um the suggestion would be if you're going to pass it to have somebody to pass it to otherwise take the free you know take the self-stat and try to dribble it around the defense anyhow clock a ball oftentimes in this game it's better to go back to go forward so sometimes you'll see those passes go back to an open

037teammate in the defensive end and maybe try to switch fields meaning get the ball from the that side to the near side our side where the cameras are located yes Ashland is maintaining um not possession but forcing Hopkinton to get that ball deep into their own defensive end Peyton Tripp is another one that's all over the place checking okay that's uh that's the goal scorer Camille perloff again shot it's out of bounds a 16-yard hit Lili ishak taking the free hit he tries to find a teammate on the wing on the far side again it's intercepted excuse me I don't sneeze there okay we're back into the Ashland offensive end down to about the 30-yard line picked up there by silver wig it's taken away by Hopkinton maintains possession near side trip tries to move

038it down taken away by the Ashland by the clock idea I'm sorry it's a hill of Defense again that's a bouncing pass that makes its way through a nice defensive play and he's calling a 25 that hit right it went out of bounds off of uh last Touch by the clockers so it's a 25-day he had four Hopkinton straight out from where the ball went out of bounds I don't know why they're taking it so close to the center of the field anyhow five yard movement balls in the circle oh boy there's 11 again oh what a shot yep that's your second goal Camille perlov she scored a minute and a half approximately into the third quarter and now with nine ten to go she scores a second one that was a hard shot she

039was open got the ball I kept the backswing of the stick below shoulder level and fired it into the net past Housman houseman's played a great game timeouts called in the field and I'm guessing that it was called by Ashland okay now they're not timing the Timeout on the uh on the scoreboard so I can't tell you how much time is left it is usually a two minute time out and if Ashland did call that it would make sense that is their only timeout that they have and they have none left and we still haven't had a water break a common official called water break to be honest with you I think with the Sun not a problem here now that uh you probably don't need it was probably the afternoon games that were that

040we needed them okay we have a whistle that's probably more than two minutes but again that's okay if they go if they're not going to call a a water break timeout if they extend the regular time out a half a minute or so that's okay too I would think so there was a goal scored before the timeout by Hopkinton uh perlov scoring her second goal of the of the period of the game and uh so the clockers will have the ball on the whistle Forester the pass back Lily Tripp attempt to get that ball over the 50 but was intercepted by number nine for Hopkinton Kelly Locke ball is inside the circle without over the end line apparently as I see the clock is going for the ball was off Hopkinton it'll be a 16-yard

041hit no but everybody's staying down that end I don't know we'll see up to 25. it's a 25 coming in it's for Hopkinton oh there was a foot there if she didn't see the foot it went out of bounds anyhow Peyton Tripp took the free hit ball changes feels obviously the other side but Hopkinton is able to take it away from the clockers it's a center outside the circle I think she was hoping one of her teammates it and there's a corner now I think he was hoping one of her teammates might be able to control that ball and take a shot on net but in any case there was a violation on Ashland you might see the uh the four defensive players of one or more going and putting on masks which are now

042allowed as of this year in high school hockey event High School field hockey in Massachusetts they can wear those for the whole game if they like but usually what we find is that the girls will use them for the corners and then flip them out out of bounds after the corner is done so if they're unable to do it shot on goal looks like it hit yeah it hit a national leg he had his he had his uh he had his right arm up because he saw the violation but he held the whistle to see if Hopkinton was able to get a shot off and they weren't so the foul was called and there's another corner for uh poppington yeah so they can maintain you know those masks if they like but most uh most

043of the players I've noticed are just flipping them out once the cone is over behind the net okay the ball is now injected it's outside the circle one could not control but press back in and we have a shot again oh oh look oh nice save by Houseman and it's out of bounds I don't I didn't see who was out of bounds from uh he's pointing to a 16. okay he was pointing at a player so it was off of Hopkins and it'll be a 16-yard hit yeah that was um that was Camille Pearl off again getting a great shot and a great save by uh by houseman keeping Parole off from having a a hat trick in the period and that was an aerial pass by Hopkins out of the 16 from the 16

044and out out to the 40 controlled by the clockers uh pass up Hopkinson is able to get to it first it stays on this stick and it's better oh it's out of bounds so it's inside the 50 it'll be a side in it looks like it looks like Peyton Tripp will take that 520 to go in the third quarter Hopkinton up two nothing on two goals by Camille perloff that's another aerial pass but there's no white jerseys there so uh so Hopkins is able to control that settle it down yeah and I would say that's off green yep it'll be a white side in outside the 25 so she could drive that straight in if she had a a lane open he doesn't have to dribble a past five years before it goes into the

045circle and she attempts another there you see it had a stick she attempt of an aerial pass and Hopkinton raised the stick above their shoulders to stop it and that's legal it's not danger it wasn't considered dangerous ball makes it over to The Far Side not just over four minutes to go in Period number three here at uh acunis complex named for coach and teacher Bill Kunis a legend here in Ashland great baseball and football player long time track coach a member of the BC Hall of Fame for his baseball exploits way back in when he was in college math teacher at both the middle school and the high school for many many years okay we have a foul against Hopkinton Ashland comes out with the ball we got a pass down unable to control

046it and it goes to an Ashland stick and there's Peyton trip again controlling it oh she's unable to get it in the circle it bounces off for sticking out of bounds so it'll be a sign in green foreign the goal scorer there perloff he's all over the place and two players here Pearl off of course scored the two goals and uh what found three of course is a great ball handle a stick Handler and quick around the uh around the ball getting possession the button the clock is have the ball inside the circle and we have a corner call caucus have a corner I think I think this is the first Corner they've had and I saw them score a nice goal off of a corner in one of their pre-season games last week possibly

047pass one out to the top of the circle controlled right into the circle and fire it in by the I don't know who it was it scored it it was a girls didn't have numbers at that scrimmage injection it's outside the circle not controlled off of Hopkin and stick that should be no yeah I'm making the call from up here it looked like it was deflected off of a hop in the stick looked like Ashland made the uh tried the shot it was a weak shot but in any case it's a 16-yard hit for the hillers Purl off again with the balls he passes it up stop by the clockers kept inside the 50 at least inside the 40. in down to about the 35 that's uh a lot of Hallock in the circle again

048shot oh miss hit and it's out of bounds nope it stayed in it stayed in I guess the Hopkin and goalie passed it out 1 15 to go here in the third quarter the Ashland offenses come alive they're getting the ball in the circle or getting Corners they're making the Hopkin and goalie make some saves by the way the goalie for Hopkinton the number 55 is Caroline Kane I gave you the starting lineups they didn't have positions here on the on the roster for Hopkins and so I don't know who that goalie was but anyhow it's it's 55 gallon cane Caroline I should say Caroline Kane and that's wide font three again on the far side controlling the ball passing it to who else but perloff perloff gets it inside the circle maintains possession oh

049almost had a shot excuse me oh that could have been called Dangerous oh she uh signaled oh yeah she had the arm up eight seconds to go it's almost over here in third quarter and that's it that's the end of the third quarter here now we have a change here and it was no score after a half and now it's two nothing in favor of the hillers on two goals scored by Camille prolov again normally we'd have a two minute break between quarters they might extend that I don't know again it's not being oh it is showing on the clock so it had two minutes it's down to 150 148 now 146. there's the whistle to get the teams out at first whistled blows as a warning with 30 seconds to go okay the start

050of the fourth quarter of the clockers will again have the ball whoever wins the whoever wins the coin flip that the beginning of the game has a choice of taking the pass back or an end and Hopkinton whether they wanted or not they had it for the first two periods in the uh the clock is happening for the third and fourth girl live again dribbles through the defense that was a flip up high and he's calling at a corner it was just thought outside the circle but you might have lifted it from inside the circle which would make it a corner and we have our six um white jerseys back at the 50 of four defensive people including husband and goal waiting for the injection as soon as the ball is injected into the circle

051the six players that the 50 can move down and try to help up with the defense 14 minutes to go we just early in the fourth quarter here at Ashland High School the pass is not controlled outside the circle the bad bouncing pass and it was unable to be controlled so it made it out all the way out to the 30 35 yard line so Hopkins has to move that back in and they don't clock us out the ball and again it goes to a green stick and we have a obstruction call against the clock is it was a pass there was a free hit by Hopkinton what do we have side in and it's Hopkinton ball it looks like it's on the field not on the sideline what Don 3 passes it to a

052teammate a wing on the far side and we have a corner call uh for Hopkinton didn't see what the foul was Ashland defense all four of them are picking up their masks you've got uh as usual Ali hickey in there and I think I have a chaplain and uh Ayla Hallock I'm always missing the fourth one in there okay the flyer is halleck and she takes it away one oh a goal and I I didn't catch you shot that ball let's see who's celebrating prologue was definitely in that Circle of players that were celebrating after the goal as though it's possible she might have gotten it I can't tell you for sure clock is stopped Silva's week took the pass back to start the start play again after the goal by Hopkinton the ball makes

053its way into out into the offensive zone for the clockers again what we found three in there taking the ball away two outstanding players for Hopkinton as I said for love and more than Zant three they've not changed anything from the first half they have maintained offensive possession constantly the clockers did have a couple coins oh that was a nice shot it was going to miss the net that was Pearl off again that was an edge shot a reverse stick Edge shot and it was not uh not called dangerous because it was her and the goalie and that was a legal play and it was off the goalie I think you know the instinct is to make the save but if she lets that go she doesn't make that save it's going to go out

054of bounds off green anyhow it was a 25-yard hit for the hillers and they maintain possession it's very hard to tell a goalie not to make the save oh that's got to be a white ball yeah what are we doing what are we doing green was green was keeping white from playing that ball I don't know why she's giving it to uh to Green I thought that was the right go start with okay it's out of bound side and white things change very quickly in field hockey so you know if it's a what you think might be an incorrect call a few seconds later it may you may cut the call that's actually nice save looked like he was out now she didn't save it it was out of bounds aside in white 10 minutes

055to go here one goal one goal by the clockers could get them back in the game but you got to get the ball into the offensive end that's yep that's a obstruction on green white takes it self-stat nice pass to herself by Hallock hella continues controlling the ball she's into the 30 passes it down touched by Hopkinton so it'll be our ball if it goes out of bounds it didn't white okay maintain possession it's in the circle stopped by the Hopkinton defense but she's calling a corner now uh all I can tell you is that there might have been a a kick by that defensive play who made that stop couldn't see that that was but the clock is have a corner we'll take it injector is on the is going to go to the

056fast side it's Lily ishek injections in it's up to the top of the circle it's outside the circle back in driven oh and I say thought we had a goal there
