Dylan Rogers [Music] are number two Can Dance [Music] [Applause]
number two [Music] number six [Applause] [Music] [Applause] ladies and gentlemen welcome to the plateau here at Ashland high school w-a-c-a-tv I'm Rob Silva bringing you the season opener tonight but you're actually in clocker is facing off against the Dover Sherman Raiders [Applause] this team it's a team of potential disappointing uh season last year finishing at five and six the Raiders 11-1 if they stop in the opener 25-7 loss for the clockers last year we'll take a break to the national anthem [Music] the abbreviated version tonight's coverage brought to you by our sponsors Mr Handyman 126 Self Storage technoplex he savings a little under the weather we'll have Josh Abrams back next week she's traveling recovery in this don't understand here's over lumba mishandle the snap picks it up clean lead on the one box takes
it back to the 21-yard line so no damage okay field position temperature game time 75 degrees a little breeze going from your left to right between 7 and 10 miles an hour beautiful night for football start time as you all know moved up to 6 30 this year get my after work nap gets cut short a little bit that quarterback starting from the uh drunk offense that's senior cam antonok [Applause] pick up about two yards good foreign [Applause] [Music] defense one of the strong points for the silver Sherburne team last year never giving up more than 14 points in the nine regular season games is a little push looks like just shy of the first down marker for four and a half needed five staying out there either quick snap or try and draw them
offsides antenna keeps it tries to push his way through the middle on a second effort he gets it [Applause] [Music] one of the senior captains here along with Jacob friel's Tyler Pine Matt Terry and Nate Cavanaugh are all captains for this Quaker Squad foreign format basically he's gonna throw and he's gotta oh and just tripped offense mama's team [Applause] play goes for 38 yards Hanson a beautiful touch and the clock is Rush up to the line they love the hurry up offense well coached team they can do this pitches a little cut back bringing it to the outside Crispin looks like he had some room on the outside decided to cut it in one more time but he hits five and a half six yards maybe seven Chris been returning senior played uh put a
lot of reps as a junior had some good yards on the ground fumble and uh little Bobble on the snap just falls on it brings up a third and four four down territory so the smart play by Anthony just uh not trying to do anything heroic foreign [Music] number nine coming into the uh explosive running back had a great start last season first came and broke his hand and limited action from there and uh coach McKay is going to take a timeout didn't like what he saw on the on the uh lineup there wants to think about it so again we want to thank those sponsors that we mentioned a little shout out to all of them who won some of their promo spots a little later owned by Ashley and Resident Michael Kane gated
and fed for 24 hours security cameras getting off the convenient drive up storage unit for both the residential and Commercial need temperature controlled units outdoor Vehicles check them out 126 South storage.com thank you Mike for being a great underwriter here we are third down and four opening drive for the season with our regular formation Quantum Emerald number nine lined up next to cam Anton in motion is ozorumba gets a block and soldiers ahead to four yards four and a half yards and it looks like enough for the first down we'll see where the spot ends up needed to get to the 22 number 23 yeah those are on the Justice sophomore but the scouting report [Applause] very very impressive [Applause] biggest line tonight pick them heard some lines as high as Dover sure have been
favored by seven but the official line pick them because I bring up the chains I think we got new chains this year but I think there's still 10 yards so probably shouldn't notice the difference not the most favorable spot but maybe a foot short of the first down do we have a replay going I want to see if that spot was correct not that they're going to change it so this is the second four thousand attempt on this Drive Ashland on their opening possession went forward on fourth and one from their own 30-yard line and made it [Applause] see which formation they go with [Applause] it would be Gunk formation rolls to his right and pushes ahead for three yards [Music] and a first down the clock is keep the drive alive eight minutes to
go in the first quarter zero zero Anthony pitches to Crispin watch it outside he's got a lot of love he's gonna go in for a touchdown oh thought he was going to spot him down but it's a touchdown from the 19-yard line and clocker but the first point of the season on the board go up six nothing [Applause] I'll go for the extra point looking for Ashley number 89 Aaron Wolfe High snap [Applause] and it's blocked [Applause] but they're clocking leads six nothing with 7 27 a go did have a little trouble in the scrimmage against Wellesley The Long Snapper quickly uh students parents coaches and interests we also want to thank back again this year's response at technoplex Healthcare Health Care leverages its world-class materials and science solids to deliver better patient outcomes by
designing and Manufacturing products that allow for less invasive procedures which reduce pain enable faster healing and safer drug delivery that complex Healthcare is a proud sponsor again of the Ashland boys football team and they wish everyone on the team a great 2023 season oh thank you turn their p8s yeah I mentioned it to him I don't know if they're on one or if they're on ten if they're on one maybe they're on 11. are they on 11. now I'm good thank you he's gonna come up I talked to him I told him to come up whenever we could kicking off into the win nice kick down to the 10-yard line he had his knee down when he caught it great catch great call uh by the official and Coach McKay to make sure that they
didn't miss it can't catch it on your knees that's awful foreign where he caught it on the 11th but [Applause] here we go Garrett Webb under Center quick throw [Applause] intended for John saber very similar to Kansas City Chiefs Receiver right there looked like a decent throw just turned his head up field Matt Terry and Nate Cavanaugh anchoring the left side of the line should have bought this look at the other number for everybody watching at home they left early there's a penalty it'll be five yards [Applause] [Music] so for our team looking to make it to the Super Bowl it's over Sherman definitely not starting the way they wanted as I said 11-1 last year not losing until the semifinals they do play Tri-Valley small [Applause] but there's not much of a drop off
talent wise between Tri-Valley small and Ashley and Tri-Valley large so in motion pitch two tell me that is not on our roster I believe unless I'm gonna listen to the PA announcer see if he's got him on his roster but number two I apologize not on there captains for Dover Sherburne Chris kiesling Brian Olson Dylan Rogers and Garrett Webb so third and 15. most likely a passing down immediately testing that secondary out there cam antenna Chrisman deep for Ashland on the coverage Webb uh antonux got a beat uh Chrisman accuse me but good coverage by David sales blanketing the receiver never had a chance of Dover Sherburne first possession negative four yards they're going to be punting back the punt for Dover Sherburne that's Garrett Webb the quarterback you're going to let it bounce take
the favorable Roll With the Wind 14 yard line to the 50-36 that's a net 50-yard punch not bad not bad at the high school level even with the Wind but still good field position for Ashland [Music] okay to the front formation fakes the handoff and he's out in front of everybody only one man can beat him or catch him excuse me but he doesn't do it cam Hampton like 60 yards and a touchdown 64 yards and just like that it's 12 to nothing [Applause] [Music] yeah touchdown Cam internet in the off-season bulking up putting on about 20 25 pounds [Music] obviously put on a little picked up a little more speed too but just enough strength this isn't a bulky just break some of those hand tackles see if the clockers can with the extra
point cleanly much better but they were able to penetrate the line and uh good job by he was number 24 that's Olson your star two-way player who got a hand on it to a less than uh just under six minutes 547 to go in the first quarter actually and scoring on their last two two plays from offense [Applause] foreign wolf number 89 kicking for Ashland but McKay does like to try and mix it up see if he does something no line drive kick nice bounce but they don't feel it on the first bounce [Applause] they do get a 20-yard return out of it and that was number 12. Ronan Richards Devin O'Brien on the tackle all right hand off up the middle [Applause] [Music] number seven Zach Jazzy breaks that one for 19 yards the
first positive yards for uh Dover Sherburne today [Music] but to jappy again another decent carry for four yards in on the tackle like Quantum Amaral and Sandeep ready [Applause] with a big Target The tvl Returning All-Star number 24 Olson at the bottom of your screen hand off again and they pound their way through for another four yards [Applause] John o'lear on the carrier 32. [Music] action looks a little out of sorts and they are enough yeah but McKay didn't want to take a chance all the time out I know restrooms are located is that definitely hear it more maybe put it flat on the ground again thank you so 30 second timeout it's enough for that clock is to reset their defense [Applause] Webb takes the handoff rolls out and another drop pass by the
unknown unnamed player number two coverage was tight it's another another not looking it into his hands turning up field before he had it let's see the caucus can hold here on fourth down [Applause] started to move in the backfield so that's called it it's going to be five yards make it fourth and seven might change the decision but I doubt it I'm guessing it's still gonna go for it [Applause] [Music] Governor Sherman coach Steve Ryan not happy with those penalties so it looks like they they might do a quick kick who's there the punter is the quarterback he does think he's going to throw it they got nothing great coverage by crisp and pass intended for number 12 Ronan Richards even if he caught it was short of the first down just great pressure by
the offensive line defensive line excuse me Webb never had a chance oh Dover Sherburne offense made a little bit of noise but they actually had handled them quite easily coming into the game for Ashley and number 21 Zach Brennan the antenna keeps it again rolls to his right picks up five [Applause] yards second to five he's just joining us welcome to the opening night broadcast here on waca TV I'm Rob silver and if you are just joining us you missed the two touchdowns by the clockers who's taking a 12-nothing lead as we approached just under three minutes here in the first half Soccer Is On Their Own 49-yard Line a pitch to Juan Emerald upright running stance gets a yard brings up third and fourth scoring me at the uh by the clock was chasing
Crispin at a 19-yard run after a long drive with a converted two fourth Downs and a one-yard excuse me one place 64-yard run by senior Captain cam antenna from the gun formation fakes the pitch and this one's going to go to rosalumba he's got some speed just take just chase down by Richard for the 31-yard gain and that's the explosiveness that the scouts talked about [Music] worse than 10. from a defensive standpoint if you haven't really seen the gunk offense it is tough to defend when it's run correctly cam Antioch is running it perfectly great leader just what this team needs time it's to Crispin who cuts it inside again five yards on first down making it very tough to defend second and five just so many options for the offensive coordinator pitch to Quan
Emerald Dover Sherburne all over that one maybe picks up two Falls forward sets up a third and three for the clockers clock running down in the first quarter beautiful evening here at the plateau couldn't have asked for better weather nice cool breeze Anthony with the hard count and Coach McKay is going to use another timeout third time out in the first quarter somebody checked the record book what's uh what's the record for timeouts in the first quarter maybe my stat guide again the concession stand located on the front yard end of the stadium next to the restrooms located at 300 Elliott Street in Ashland give them a call at 508-881-3010 or find them on the web at Townhouse Pizza roast beef.com foreign soccer game is brought to you in part by the Ashland Ale House

to wait I'm gonna do this with my friends this year I'm looking forward to graduating and getting out I'm looking forward to spending all the better having all the memories of my friends that I can move back on it's high school and in high school so we finally get the freedom to do what we finally wanted to do yeah thank you so much I'm excited for the soccero team to win the tvl championship hey guys we're at the fire truck today with the senior class just ran around today's a good day yo what's up guys classic 2024 check-in what I'm looking for the best class they're gonna miss us the most what I'm looking forward to seeing you here kicking everyone's born in football kicking everyone's point in soccer living my dream being at the
school Ashland's the best that's right go clockers go clockers [Music] thank you [Music] Dover Sherburne Ashland dominating tonight up 12 to nothing the internet also the ball he rolls left this time still going still pounding away and the refs are going to spot him just short of the goal line you've been watching your science and I've ripped one off for 64 yards down to the one yard line second and goal see who they call on this play [Applause] Netflix in the number 21 Zach Brennan there pitch took Quantum Emerald Quan walks us into the end zone [Applause] touchdown Ashland wasn't even close expression there all right so uh two extra points two missed attempts and see how they do here foreign [Applause] lots of room to spare good blocking by the offensive line and it
is now 19 to nothing and we're just one minute into the second quarter they continue at this pace I mean Dover Sherman not a long bus ride but it's going to seem like a cross-country trip heading back home if this continues [Applause] [Music] so we'll see what happens at Aaron Wharf kicking off he's got a breeze behind him it's it's tied down a little bit but wouldn't be surprised if we saw this one go over the head of the deep receiver line drive it could be a Touchback and it is [Applause] that's quite the weapon for the clockers you can do that with more consistency especially when the receiving team doesn't expect it the Dover Sherburne going to start the 20-yard line to be their third possession first possession they lost four yards had the
punt second position gained about 25-30 yards four can converted on a fourth down this is their third possession Eric Webb four receivers spread out lets it Fly and that's his uh favorite Target Brian Olson coming back good communication between Olson and Webb you can tell they've played together [Music] best game of the day that's 14 yards Webb looks to throw again this one underneath will play goes for 11 yards two I want to know who number two [Applause] no not us not us don't for sure don't worry about it I just wanted to give him his recognition we'll get it happen foreign [Music] passes in a row two first downs in a row Dover Sherburne and sink Webb lets it Fly he's got Olson down the sideline and breaks the tackle and he's into the
end zone the one player really hadn't seen any Targets or really been involved in the uh offense at all Olson does what he's done his whole career that's why he's a TBL All-Star [Applause] Garrett Webb 50-yard connection and it's now 19-6 that is the Achilles heel of Ashland's defense they give up the long pass as they've done it consistently [Applause] got a layer extra point for Dover Sherman cuts the lead to 12 19-7 [Applause] so a high scoring Affair 929 to go and a big play Affair too 50-yard pass from Garrett Webb to Brian Olson and earlier in the first in the first quarter we had Ashland cam antenna taking it on the ground for 64 yards no touchdown [Applause] look over sherbin gonna kick off into the wind again it's crisping and ozumba back
deep for the clockers it was a Limba excuse me [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] see if Dover Sherman tries anything tricky no doubt Ashland ready for it try a little Squid kick that one's fielded by canning who just goes to the ground [Applause] actually I don't take possession on the 23-yard line [Music] I want to thank our sponsor another sponsor tonight the Ashley inhaler Ale House with delicious food a comfortable family atmosphere and the friendliest service around the Atlanta ale house is open for both indoor and outdoor seating as well as curbside pickups visit them at Ashley and alehouse.com and check out their menu and place an order come on Dover Sherburne takes the time out timeout we're gonna go to a commercial break we'll be back in a moment [Music] reminder make sure you stop

Ale House with delicious food a comfortable family atmosphere and the friendliest service around the Ashland Ale House see who gets it second time has had trouble with the snap it's gonna bring up third and eight for Ashland [Applause] by the time they have to score here but it would be nice to not give it right back to Dover Sherburne [Music] bottom of the screen Robbie Rudisill number 22 single coverage Kevin O'Brien in the slot looking for Rudisill he gets it turns up field breaks one tackle but does what he needs to do and Robbie earn to sell with his first Varsity reception goes for first down for 17 yards and a first down [Applause] definite size advantage rudacill against uh Ronan Sullivan number 10. Cam internet a little bit lucky tried to do a little
too much fortunately it doesn't end up being a turnover as he was sacked before he threw the ball away but a loss of seven eight yards [Applause] see if that influences the offensive set if they go back to the gunk offense a little bit more protection from deep inside now I'm gonna try it again a little title formation the emotionals equally goes to Crispin goes nowhere this time [Applause] kick it off number eight Jason Kristin so third and eight for the clockers third and 17. excuse me 317. after the first down sacked this is one of those situations where throwing it up for rudisil might be a good option you can high point it get the first down even if it's picked off it's as good as the punt the internet middle screen to Crispin
he's got some room he breaks into the outside he's got one guy to beat but he beats enough to number eight Jason Ashland picks up [Applause] 27 30 yards and a first down third and 17. Ashland ran the they love the middle screen they ran it last week against Wellesley for a good chunky yardage when executed well unbelievable play and everyone did their job first and 10 on the 36-yard line Anthony hands to hammeroff picks up two yards to number nine one Emerald second and eight from the 34-yard one I want to thank my crew tonight we've got a couple new guys I don't have all the new guys names but we got the new guy on the camera Brady monticino Mackie the knife no top Bob Oden helping out with the setup another new
guy on the camera [Music] Antoinette rifles it over to uh Jacob prios that's good contributor on the offense last year for the clockers he did eight they got nine that'll move the chains 355 to go in the half Cocker's leading 19-7 marching down the field again trying to answer after a 50-yard touchdown pass from Garrett Webb antenna keeps it takes the handoff to Juan Emerald forges ahead for five yards [Applause] and let me recalculate that voyages ahead for the three to go good drive here really consuming the clock at this rate if the over Sherburne does get the ball back they may be uh pressed for time depending on how long actually and holds onto the ball 22 yards to go Anthony spins it over to hammeroff room there he 15-yard pickup and a first
down the array of offensive weapons on the ground is just mesmerizing Juan Emerald Jason Crispin cam antenna all with breakaway touchdown speed clock down to 232 no hurry ahead to the end zone touchdown Ashley Parker I mean Antioch finds the end zone for a second time tonight puts the clockers back ahead by 18. and Aaron wolf on for the extra point [Applause] a much needed answer it's a big third down conversions they converted a third and 17 third and 13. and that one looks a lot nicer extra point is good 26-7 215 to go [Applause] foreign [Applause] clouds you can see them way way off in the distance maybe 5-10 miles away I love my weather app that's something my uh Sun passed on to me love of the weather and sports Believe It or
Not wolf with a kick a high driving kick back to the five yard line fielded by Richard she breaks it outside nice return 36 yard line 37-yard line pick up a 31-32 on the return [Music] [Applause] 37 years [Applause] [Music] the 202 to go Dover Sherburne scored on their last possession three plays 80 yards see what they do here because they found the passing game really in sync copy a screen that's Brian Olson who's on the receiving end of that 50-yard touchdown pass winds picking up could affect the throws and uh there's a passive number unknown number two holds his way down to the 24-yard line [Applause] clock stops momentarily for the movement of the chains a little slow we got the young guys moving the chains clock has started actually I felt a drop
of rain they spike it stop the clock [Applause] that was a little strange I thought the uh spiking of the ball giving up a down here there's a few little raindrops starting to fall up here on the roof [Music] so it's second and ten Webb lobs it up for Olson and just like that they're in the end zone again [Applause] so that was the pregame scouting report we talked about Webb and Olson the returning Juniors now seniors bearing fishing last year and have not lost the step if anything they look a little bit more in sync this year so that took 34 seconds for that scoring drive to go 64 yards extra pointed block ball so Ashland maintains a 13-point lead 26-13 [Applause] thank you [Applause] let's go alone [Applause] 's on the T John
o'lear ready to kick off be ready be ready good kick that one to Ozil he's got some space on the sideline cuts it back inside let's throw a flag around the 44 yard line on the Block but owns a loomba electric [Applause] Block in the back I'm gonna move the ball back from the 44 to the 34-yard line where action will take over with a minute 15 left not sure if clockers have any timeouts they did use three timeouts in the first quarter but when you're gaining yardage at uh over 10 yards a play can move the ball pretty quickly even with a minute minute 16 is plenty of time and uh Russ calling a timeout injury timeout looks like a cramp looking at the radar it looks like we're just gonna fortunate enough to
miss the massive storms that are off to the West foreign 72 degrees at the moment again tonight looking for a root of cell definitely affected by the wind ball kind of carried on them [Applause] a little more air under it and Rudisill would have been walking into the end zone was able to get by his Defender so try that two more times and pump it away if you have to really do it they changed the defense and move it so they get a layer against him at the bottom of the screen [Applause] calls for it keeps it [Applause] stays in bounds I don't know if that's good or bad it's going to be third and two Dover Sherburne will start the second half receiving the ball looks like they're just gonna be content to run
it out and go to the half with a two score lead Sherburn takes the time out gonna force him to punt it anything can happen Anything Can Happen though see if this comes back to bite them I wouldn't be surprised if McKay changed his uh thought process around and maybe does something [Applause] stay tuned second half we might get a visit from the new athletic director Kevin Anderson foreign ER everything looks terrific feels in good shape [Applause] go to The Conch offense makes the handoff over there oh fumble and this is why you call the time out and this is why you take the knee if you're on offense up the ball Dover Sherburne gets it back with 27.2 seconds and they're going to take it over on there the 49-yard line number 70. O'Connor
coach McKay not a happy camper at this moment Ashley and Jeff's gonna just make sure they don't give up the big play easier said than done is they've given up two long touchdown passes and Garrett Webb is throwing it is uh as good as anybody you can throw it at the moment Target Brian Olson favorite Target at the top of the screen he's gonna go to him again but no he's gonna pull it back and he gets sacked actually gains a yard so it doesn't go as a sack they hurry up they're going to try and uh down it here so they can get one more play off stop the clock with 12.3 seconds brings up third and eight want to play seven eight seconds get a first down possibly down the field or touchdown
and then have time for a clock will stop on first down [Music] see the fireworks off in the distance over the trees great view here from on top of the fields outside the plateau William Kunis field so third and eight on the 49-yard line of Ashland Dover Sherburne looking for a last second score 12 seconds to go thrown out of bounds now it's going down now what do you do eight seconds it's not enough to you can't take a knee you can run a play it's only going to take four or five seconds guessing he will take a deep shotgun formation and then just Hail Mary that should take up enough time to make it the last play of the half [Applause] looks like good protection can't really get enough on it even if they
caught it wasn't gonna mean up and they let the clock run out and that'll do it for the first half and that's the end of the half 26 to 13. Ashley and Clark is looking to exact their revenge on Dover Sherman who they lost to in the opener last year into overserman 25-7 you're watching Ashley in High School varsity football here on waca TV I'm Rob silver we'll be back in a moment [Music] yeah I mean hey folks get your tickets out for the 50 50 raffle here we go we have the selection check your ticket it's your senior year what are you most excited about uh I'm really excited to see our class step into the role as Leaders like we said we had a great start so far you know the first three

the far distance not sure how long we'll be playing but uh for now at the after one half of play 26-13 you're actually in clockers leading the Dover Ray Dover Sherman Raiders [Music] Ashland took the opening kick I'm at prodigal March down the field punctuated by a 19-yard run by Jason Crispin Dover Sherman turned it over on Downs minus three yards and on the first play from scrimmage it was cam antonok from the gun formation taking its 64 yards for the touchdown another failed offensive uh possession by Dover Sherburne and Ashley and March right down again went up 19 nothing when uh daughter Sherman kind of kind of found their Rhythm on offense passing three plays 180 yards capped out by a 50-yard reception Garrett Garrett to Olson Garrett Webb to Olson Ashland is able
to convert a few third Downs on their next possession and 26 came in tonight punched it in actually that was quantum Emerald Anthony scored the third touchdown is Dover Sherburne feels that one deep gets back to the 21-yard line and then with the uh [Applause] and a quick update from my uh team downstairs in the booth Chris kiesling is the person wearing number two we had him as number 22 he's one of the senior captains for Dover Sherburne so I apologies to Chris kiesling and the kiesling family not being uh this is the roster we were given so we just work with what we have Garrett Webb looking to is Target Olson it's a eight yards catches it on the turf way to number 24 Brian Olson down at the 24 yard and Olson was
on the receiving end of the second touchdown so uh the thing Dover Sherman took possession with 202 left in the half and it took him about 40 seconds to go down and uh score so they definitely found their Rhythm on offense Ashley is going to have to make some adjustments hopefully they did at the half to I'm going to keep this offense off the field Webb fakes the pitch plenty of time back there throws underneath to number 10 that's Ronan Sullivan coming out of the backfield he catches it for five yards and a first down I'm Rob silver here on waca TV foreign [Music] Brady monticino the unknown cameraman who will get for the end of the day Webb throwing up the middle a little bit behind the receiver still should have been caught that
was intended for number 19 Robert saber [Applause] all right [Music] this time they run it [Applause] Zack Jaffe he's got a nice carry earlier in the game second quarter for 15-17 yards he breaks that one we're about 28 yards so working for them in the air and on the ground see what adjustments the Ashland can make here on the Fly [Music] [Applause] receivers for over Sherburne down the bottom here is Olson and kiesling to his inside webbed with a snap he looks up the middle that one sails over the intended receiver Ronan Richard but he definitely had uh had some opening Richards and he caught that he was gone 9 44 to go here in the second half Webb with olaire hands it to a lair first Contact made by Quantum Emerald but couldn't wrap
them up and O'Leary gets another five five yards after that over Sherburne player down on the field man it's another cramp thank you so we're gonna we're gonna uh maybe continue streaming but uh we're gonna head down a lot of lightning in the background so to be safe I'm going to go into cover for a moment athletic director Kevin Anderson walking the track his first big decision [Music] okay for one more down Webb keeps it pushes ahead it's enough for the first down and it's going to be First and Ten from the 31-yard line and we'll be back all right guys [Applause] [Music] [Applause] okay number nine [Applause] minutes good evening folks uh just making an announcement we're gonna shut down for tonight we have some lightning storms coming and we're up here on the
