I don't know where you're going. Yeah. Oh yeah. Hello. Welcome to the second half of our show. Thank you so much for everyone coming. Uh for those of you that don't know me, I'm Samantha Schultz. I have been basically the interimm music chorus teacher since the end of January while Audrey Thompson has been away on her maternity leave. But um it's been such a pleasure to be here with everybody and hearing all of these fabulous singers. Um but I thought that it was very fitting for us to start the second half of the program with the song that says keep the music going. So we're going to keep that music going. This song is a fun upbeat song that speaks of the joy of making music together and making music that comes from deep within
us. So, we hope that you enjoy this. [Music] My voice. Your voice. and together our voice. Our voice now forever. [Music] Oh, happy and [Music] happy and w and [Music] together. We [Music] are broken. [Music] We feel like my heart [Music] deep on and for you. The music [Music] La on and on and on. And all and [Applause] As you can tell, they have a lot of fun together. Our next piece, a traditional Hebrew folk song, is actually a love song. Beyond the difficulty of learning the pronunciation of this music, the Hebrew style includes includes a lot of syncopation. Um, which means that the students really needed to be mindful of the timing of each of their entrances. So there's there's some splits that happen in the song as well. So you're going to hear
different parts and um we have our course a little bit mixed together between the two schools. But you will notice that some students are singing and some are not. And that was intended to be um one school singing one verse, another school singing another verse. So you might catch on to that. But uh here is Dodie Lee. [Music] I [Applause] [Music] need to love being happy. He is love. [Music] away. I mean [Music] TV far away. [Music] Gyne. All [Music] [Applause] right. So, believe it or not, we're at the last song of the evening, and as I understand it, this was voted on uh by the students before I got here. Um, it is a piece that I think most, if not all of you will probably recognize, and my hope is that you will
leave humming it with a smile on your face as you do. Um, before we sing it though, I do just want to recognize there is a solo in this song. Uh, but what we ended up doing is I had them audition in groups, those of them that wanted to, and they all did so well, it was very difficult to choose even one or two. And I noticed that it was pretty much fifth graders that had auditioned, maybe a few fourth graders. And I said, you know what? It would be nice to have for their final concert to have the fifth have fifth graders, those that had audition to uh sing that. So, you'll hear a group of fifth graders and you'll see in your program where those fifth graders at audition are going to be
singing a solo. [Music] You're better than [Music] just completely unaware. [Applause] [Music] It's okay in the moment when you [Music] makeile crazy [Music] Just the thought of you can drive me. Oh, you make me smile. [Music] Even when you're gone along the sidewalk and just like that You make me smile like a [Music] bird like a record. [Music] without you inside your [Music] eyes. Shine like Ask the thought of you can drive [Music] me out of bed like a bird like Maybe on Sunday [Music] night you can drive me. Oh, you make me smile. Oh, you make me [Applause] So, I had a long list of thank yous, but Miss Bearinger at the beginning covered just about everything. But I just we want to re reiterate again just how thankful we are for all of
the support for being able to be here at Tahanto for um the staff faculty and um all the parent helpers and of course all of you that have been here um but she covered every single person I think I don't think she missed one and she um had heartfelt all kinds of wonderful things to say and I just echo all of that. So thank you so very much. Great job to all of the students that performed and thank you to you you parents and families for being so supportive. [Applause] Yeah, she thought she was going to get away. I want to well first I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Berlin Boilton school community. This is Rob I'll get it right eventually Mr. repeat the new principle of oil. You know, I don't
know if you probably realize this, both of these teachers. [Applause] things. I know that here [Music] [Applause] [Music] wave of course you came in the middle of the year um to join us and to do just an outstanding job with all our kids. So you can take one of these. You want to take one. [Music] this evening. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Drive safely. [Applause]
