001[Music] hello everyone and welcome for tonight's basketball game I forgot girls basketball on here between the Beverly Panthers and the Marblehead logicians and Beverly has punched their ticket into the playoff that their last two victories on the road anyone or anything last time we were here we were got talking about we got that magic number down the one there now eleven and six with back-to-back victories over Peabody and Revere and tonight is senior night and bittersweet moment the last game of the season here and they'll say goodbye to two players tonight Delanie Sprague and rosy Gaucho playing their final games here they'll play in the Larry McIntyre tournament as well but their final regular season here tonight so the Panthers as we said punching that ticket into the playoff spot eleven and six they are
002ranked right now tenth in the overall rankings in the playoff so when tonight still does mean something for the Panthers four in the playoff picture they're coming off a 52 46 victory against Revere and in that game Moreland scored 21 points 16 rebounds two blocks as she led the way as she usually does for the Panthers Haley was right behind her with 18 points and six rebounds and gosh had six rebounds and four points as well so as we said the last regular-season game here tonight for the Panthers and after that will be the Larry McIntyre tournament and who knows who they'll face I believe they get Gloucester in that first round you can see it on your screen there the scores for those last two games marvel hit coming in at two in sixteen
003they have wins over Gloucester and Medford and looking to play spoiler tonight for the Panthers this is this could be quite a big game for the Panthers as right now they don't have a very high seating and if a win tonight could have got them at least one home game in that playoff picture so we talked about the magicians trying to splay spoiler they're led by their head coach Jamie callahan and their starting lineup tonight will be bridget gebel the guard and she the freshman guard maddie Hurst she's a forward she's a senior Hannah Garth E a guard as well and senior Lila Walton a forward freshman and Emily cloud the center a freshman as well so a young magicians team but I'm in and a half away from our start time right now [Music]
004[Applause] so rosy crunch they're one of the two seniors being honored tonight for the Panthers [Applause] what a great team that they got to end with this year it's been probably a bumpy road for them a bit especially last year they had their struggles but able to go out with a very very good team [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so as you see they're both seniors getting to start tonight [Applause] and as the Beverly ROTC exits the court now or just about ready to get things started both teams meeting right now Beverly breaks first Rosi working against cloud there and we are underway here at senior night The Magicians win the tip and start so we get the ball on the outside right now drives in though nothing there keep it on the inside though
005get that pass up and over Bernard can't get the layup to go logicians grabbed the rebound puts another one up Haley comes on to know where to grab that rebound and put an end to the magician's offensive run there pass goes out of bounds though and then Marblehead gets the ball back so after a very hard-fought game against severe last time for the Panthers will be interesting to see just how fast of a starting get out - especially with maybe them not playing for quite as much after already punching that ticket in and Marblehead can play very loose long three not going to go Panthers grab the rebound Kia Bernard and the foul is called Beaudry brings the ball up look to the inside for a bit now now Haley runs around in the tee
006I can't handle the pass she gets it back though driving inside had it's don't know if it looked like she was trying to get the ball out of her hands for a shot and had its wad of the way Panthers looking a little rusty on offense to begin the game here [Music] that was Sprague on the inside against Walton got in the way of that one there's a block shot Haley running up the floor tries to drive inside and a foul I'm sorry I travel there now if they did call the foul they have a little trouble deciding who was on glad I wasn't the only one confused there I don't know if they actually gave a number on that so the pass is stolen away by the magician she goes up the floor looking
007for it easy layup but spray gun all the way back there and denied it now Haley up the floor and can't get the layup but she draws a foul and she'll go to the line so almost two minutes in this game still no no points on the board but Haley has a chance to get the scoring started right here and the first one is good she gets some both come to expect that from Haley the best shooter on this Panthers team and she knocks them both down to open up a scoring foul called on Rosi Gaucho there the offense might have started slow for the Panthers but the defense is looking good as usual it doesn't matter who's on the inside if it's gaucho if it's Moreland either way the results of the same it's
008very tough for any opponents to get any points against this Panthers team Haley from three for the first time air balls in a bit Burkhard tried to go up against the much larger cloud but cloud was able to bring it down all the way up the floor can't keep her feet inbounds though and the Panthers I get the ball back as he flings it in down the Haley who could have been in trouble there for a second but they come down with it Bernard sort of a long two couldn't get it magicians get the ball back it's a very sloppy start to this game and another foul a bit uncharacteristic of the Panthers hero with already three fouls and that'll bring cloud to the line a bit too strong on our first attempt and it
009is a no shot there as she stepped over the line so still - nothing magicians in the press and it's causing the Panthers problems early on and a travel so that press we've seen the Panthers beat it before with team speed but not a bad idea to give yourself try to give yourself as many offensive possessions as you can especially when you come in as the underdog boji went all the way up the floor the pass goes out of bounds it was tipped out and if there's looking to find their rhythm find their groove here still just to nothing it's been sloppy with turnovers and fouls and just miss handling of the ball little rusty it looks like after that Revere game [Music] as a mid-range shot but it's not gonna go a little push
010nothing called magicians come out of the scramble at the ball on another foul looked like he might have called that one on rosie Gaucho that is earnest at the line right now for the magicians and she's got her first can't get the second though and spray came down with the rebound Haley all the way up the floor but you can't handle the long pass and Rosie checks out of the game ELISA Moreland in the game now for the Panthers and we've seen the Panthers struggle before when moorlands not on the floor something that they'll have to correct in the playoffs late on the foul call there but I'm glad they called it Tia Bernard will get the inbounds pass that's the third foul of the game for the magician's Haley from three not gonna go
011spray came down with a rebound and the put up not gonna go marlin tries to saves it and she ends up doing it as she throws it right off a magician's player and the Panthers will maintain possession of the ball here with 4:10 ago [Applause] couple of blocks there on the inside and a little running afoul called that went on Sarina Beaudry 14 fouls for the Panthers and Marblehead takes the time out there with 403 to go when a 2-1 lead for the Panthers and not other no other real way to say it it's been some ugly basketball here to start out this one mentioned it at the top after some big games against PVD and that one against Rivera top top team in their conference and coming away with such a close and hard-fought
012victory Panthers might might be a little flat to start this one we'll see if Stan shal can straighten them out here much of this half has muscled this quarter though has been without Moreland though and we've seen the Panthers struggle before when she's not on the floor this is just about the first time we've seen them without Moreland to start again other than the time that Moreland was gone from the lineup a few weeks ago when she was in Florida and we saw them struggle out the gate early there and that game as well and we're back underway here let's earnest on the outside directing traffic for the Marblehead magicians shot from the top of the key is good and Marblehead takes a 3-2 lead that is Walton on the score there and a three
013Tia Bernard knocked down that three for the Panthers and they take the lead Marlon was looking for one of her teammates there I couldn't see whose hands that went off of that was a she put a lot on that ball for such a close range past that past stolen away up the floor hand Anderson looks like she's behind everyone has it long - not gonna go Barnard gets the rebound has it swatted away by cloud be the fifth team foul on the Panthers that one well away from the ball police fouls very uncharacteristic of the Panthers and some good movement of the ball there by the magicians and they tie this game up at five Haleigh for three it looked good but it's not gonna go and right now mostly led by Clow the senior
014on that inside about the freshman actually on that inside for the magicians they are making life very difficult for the Panthers to get any points underneath any layups any easy looks from underneath the basket and in the interior [Music] that was a three-pointer put up by TIA but the magician's come right back down the floor and answer and it's eight seven Haylee for three gets it to go she's got five points on the game eleven seven good switch they're on defense by the Panthers try to get inside against Moreland that's tough to do Clow comes in nearly cleans it up gets it back again but now Beaudry all alone down the floor little off-balance on her layup attempt though and it wasn't going to go not a good look there for the magicians a minutes
015ago in this first chord are eleven seven our score it's been a bit sloppy for the Panthers but they've cleaned things up a little bit down the stretch worth noting of the magicians are in the bonus already Bernard looked like she might have got over here with a foul there we're gonna have a jump ball [Applause] Kylee McCarthy checks into the game replacing Sabrina Beaudry inside to Clow there it goes and she's been the big difference maker for the magician's on both ends of the floor rebounds points and plenty of block shots long three not going to go it looks like we're gonna have another jump ball so it should go the Panthers way Haley from that corner again she seems to like that and after she shot that she got bumped but the reps
016breast didn't quite catch it as they were following the ball three not gonna go so with two seconds left I'll do the roll-up don't get a shot off and that'll end our first quarter Panthers ahead 11 to 9 and a bit of a rusty start here for the Panthers not quite in sync things not going their way as cleanly as you would expect at least they still have the lead but we're seeing an uncharacteristically large amount of fouls from the Panthers they play very aggressive man defense but they're usually able to avoid that they have five team fouls and The Magicians are in the bonus already it's been ugly here on both ends a lot of jump balls lot of fouls a lot of missed shots the kind of game that I think Marblehead actually
017wants to see tonight if they can turn this game ugly they might have a chance to win essentially over there talking the team see if he can get them refocused here and playing a little better basketball Moreland hit two threes for them after she set out for the beginning of this game hailey Anderson also had five points and that has been the out the offensive output for the Panthers Brook baking on the floor as well for the Panthers right now in a travel we see Haley Anderson lingering again behind that little near side corner seems like she really likes to take her shots from there tonight now she drives inside the ball still on the outside Brook for three from the other corner not going to go but Moreland grabs the rebound working inside get
018past everyone draws the foul [Music] look good off the hands but not quite enough on it miss the most when the magician's have the wall now still eleven nine inside that was earnest working against Moreland for a second a foul [Applause] I guess the magicians are not in the bonus the thing and a 3-2 my bad that was Madeleine Bowden off the bench who got that bucket [Music] [Applause] and I looked like he called a foul there the magician should be at the line right now that indeed was a foul and he looked over at the bench and said one three as if it was a steel there but can't get the easy bucket the magicians reverse inside can't handle that pass though when the Panthers get the ball back well III don't know what
019happened there though I we think that they're in the bonus they believe they should have been at the line I think the refs might have missed that one but if er if you're Beverly you take it 1111 our score right now 6:45 to go Marblehead doing a great job of playing spoiler right now as they have turned this game into a slugfest ugly fouls a lot of missed shots and they're doing everything they can to slow this Panthers team down and it has been effective they're forcing the issue on the inside too taking it to the Panthers defense so Bernard on the impound pass McCarthy takes it up the floor Haley from that corner again the two-step dribble but didn't shoot she passed at that time inside the van Aragon a little push there that
020one on earnest for the magician's Brooke from the corner and drains it [Music] Panthers needed that 1411 almost all their points I've come from the three-point range the magicians have done a great job of closing off the inside all sloppy with a ball handling there and a jump ball and that goes the Panthers way and now Lea white hair checks into the game replacing teo bernard we a freshman forward for the panthers brooke from 3 again she's feeling it and it's 17 11 the biggest lead of the night for the panthers trying to get it up over Moreland but Moreland gets a hand on it and magicians maintain possession though Brooke gets beat there although on defense and an easy layup an easy hoo for Walton there right don't know how Haley was able to
021manage to keep that ball inbounds but she did now Haley for three just short antha settling for a lot of long shots and the travel Morland checks out of the game replaced by Delanie sprague one of the two seniors tonight here on senior night's break inside right there fights through the contact and gets the bucket and the magician's answer with a to 1915 they're going back and forth right now the difference right now some big two three-pointers that Brooke got Haley tried to tiptoe that out of bounds line but couldn't keep it in for 22 to go 1915 The Magicians hanging in there putting up a fight long three not going to go Haley has it and she gives it to Leah white hair driving inside she had someone open but she gets it she
022had someone open down there but she was able to take it herself or the two when it's 21 to 15 now now let's Li up the floor again and she draws the foul I want on earnest again for the magicians and that'll bring Leah white hair to the line and she drains the first one so Beaudry checks back in the game replacing hailey Anderson and Lia drains them both the freshman coming with the last four points for the Panthers 23:15 the score and another foul the Panthers in the bonus now and that'll bring work Bakey to the line and she drains her first one so finally that in-your-face aggressive defense for the magician's it's starting to do them in a little bit Brook drains on both a Panthers doing a good job now of making
023the magician's pay at that free-throw line they have a 10-point lead which is their biggest of the game so far magicians looking for would be a big big answer right here but then that's a big answer just for confidence 25 17 that 10-point lead the Panthers things could seem like they were getting out of hand but and now Beaudry's at the line the Panthers for their last four let's hope that wasn't a jinx how I change there why here tried to get the rebound there but couldn't handle it and a timeout used by Jamie callahan over there on the magician's bench so 25:17 the score now Panthers playing much better basketball since that first quarter they've cleaned things up a bit and they're also in the bonus now both teams in the bonus some big
024threes [Applause] and there the NEC standings as you see there that little star means they've punched their tickets into the playoffs you see Beverly sits there at number four Revere at number two that's the team that they beat just a few days ago in that 50 46 game a big win 11 and three in league play Beverly two of those losses coming against undefeated Lin classical and two very tight games that last game came right down to the wire a game that they really had and we're back underway with just a few seconds over the three minutes left to go in this half hello walking for a shot but it goes in for the magicians 25 19 and they have closed the gap rather quickly again Brooke looking for something in high white Herto Moreland
025not going to go what gets it again to the outside now long three drains [Music] that was Kylee McCarthy on that three there that's a bit of a dagger for the magician's we're making their way back and now it's all the way back out to a nine-point lead for the Panthers earnest trying to answer with a three of our own but it's not going to go Beaudry grabs the rebound runs up the floor looking for Sprague but too high three aggressive they aren't leaving her feet to try and get into the passing lane a bit of a really unforced error though as she's got to remember that they're in the bonus she's gonna come out of the game now Anderson checks back in she's in a bit of foul trouble as a lot of these
026Panthers are can't get it to go though when the free-throw shooting has been kind of a big story in this game both teams in the bonus is what Brooke looks for a three and she drains another one she definitely has the hot hand tonight I gets her in the double digit points on the game 11 points she's knocked down three threes 31:19 lead to you Bernard checking into the game replacing Sprague the threes not gonna go Oh little bit of a mix-up inside the ball goes out of bounds and the magician's will get it back Walton on the inbounds took a bell Tiye grab the rebound but can't handle it as that goes off her foot magicians have it back and that's water the way second chance but a travel hard to see what was
027going on there the ball went this way then that way it was about four turnovers it's all about two seconds there it's been that kind of game hard-fought you've got to admire this effort that you've seen from the magician so far there's Haley with a three and it look good again but it's not gonna go just not her night so far but you got to admire this effort that marble head has put together tonight playing for mostly just the police boiler but they have come out aggressive they've gotten in the Panthers face there is a travel again they've gotten in the Panthers face and they have made things very difficult for this Beverly team Haley thought about it but not gonna happen white hair on the inside working against cloud and a travel Haylee inside
028can't handle the pass tried to save it but couldn't quite 14 seconds left back and forth they go with unsex unsuccessful possessions that gebel tried to force it inside but it's not gonna go Ernest gets it back turns around what a great turnaround there from Ernest to close out the half 3121 our score Brooke Bakey off the bench the big star of this so far as she has 11 points she sort of led the way for the Panthers offense and Marblehead has gotten in their face and they've made things difficult and we'll get you back out for the second half here as I said before the Panthers out 31 21 you are watching Bev Kim here anyone can come to the studio to make their own local TV show contact us with your idea we'll

030realize you feel so hopeless I need help I need help you feel so hopeless then one day you realize unless they've been through it how can they understand I don't need this no one's going to judge suddenly everything was turned around because they insist that I just try all it took was someone who would just listen [Music] everything starts out small the things that hurt us they all start from somewhere the words we say the things we do that can grow into something else what was small and innocent can become big and sometimes scary all it takes is one comment one picture one video for something to catch fire but a big problem doesn't need a big response not at first even if we don't know what to say the eye emoji can be that
031first step we take let's all pledge to take that first small step together and change the world in a big way I'm a witness and so are you you creativity is putting your imagination to work and it's produced the most extraordinary results in human culture [Music] dreams come from inspiration inspiration comes from an idea and ideas come from creativity we believe in raising up a new generation of creative minds and it all starts with you helped sponsor the award-winning Beverly High School meeting program so the students can have the resources they need to make dreams happen you [Music] hello everyone and welcome back here inside eeeh for the second half ladies [Music] difference of marblehead and we've seen a little bit of a slow start for the Panthers here probably coming off that big game
032against Revere and it was a bit ugly in that first quarter it was just a two-to-one score they've been tied at a few points they have a 10-point lead now 31 21 and we'll see here in just a few minutes substantial is able to refocus this team and get them playing like we know that they can bethe uncharacteristic for the Panthers they played that aggressive defense as we've seen before but they're usually very good at avoiding avoiding a foul troubles but that has not been the cases after the end of the first quarter Blue magicians were in the bonus Beaudry had to sit for muscled much of that first half in foul trouble the bench has come up big for the Panthers though kylie mccarthy hit a big three leah white hair has also put
033out points for points actually five including the the free-throw shooting as well and Brooke Becky the big story she has 11 points she's knocked down three threes and she's gonna line and hit both of her free throw shots as well on the inside Moreland has been kind of a non-factor so far and she's actually sat for much of the game too as well didn't start the game due to senior night and then gotten a little bit of foul trouble but basically been a non-factor the Clow down there on the inside from The Magicians has really shut things down for the Panthers on the inside they've had to do a lot of their points through threes and at the free-throw line and you really got to hand it to Marblehead last natl not as much to
034play for other than playing spoiler and they could have came out flat and not really cared but they they have come out motivated and they have been in the Panthers face since the very start of this game so there's rosie gaucho on the floor for the inbounds pass senior night she's one of the two seniors other being Delaney Sprague and she in bounds it's a Kylee McCarthy and we are underway Haley thought about the three takes a couple of steps and puts up a mid-range two but it's not gonna go mauling on the inside and she gets the foul this is one area especially in the second quarter with the Panthers were able to make the magician's pay though as eventually when they got in the bonus as well they were liable to make it
035count they actually went on a streak including that one now with six free throws in a row that they made and Moreland makes it 733 21 and the free throw shooting in general has kind of been the big difference as the magician's have putted plenty of opportunities at the line as well but they haven't made it count the same way the Panthers have Clowes depth out of bounds there and the Panthers will get the ball back no I looked at the ref pointed at the ground is if she did but a bit of confusion going on is they're talking about something so state magicians ball gabelle on the inbounds pass cloud working against moorland now on the outside a three it's not gonna go looks like they called a push off there on Clow looked
036like it might have been a bit ticky tacky threw that one in with authority to Rosie Haley from the outside she gets bumped again after the shot but they don't see it Haley 4 3 again but it's not that time she air-balled that one a bit mighta rushed it Clow inside working against Moreland Wallen stays with her nicely and forces a very errant shot bernard on the inside stops thought about it gives it up Rosie for two [Music] [Applause] 35:21 the Panther is looking a lot better on offense to start this one out long three and a big answer from the magician's Hanif Garci Moreland inside gets her own rebound and then puts it in a lot better pace to this one as well to the start of this one back in fourth the offense
037is looking much sharper Wow inside not going to go when Haley grabs the rebound McCarthy for three not quite warlin grab that rebound and put it up and Jamie Callahan has seen enough and calls the timeout 39 24 hours score the Panthers come out fast and furious to start this second half and I've got an update from our producer as the Beverly boys have a 3424 lead on the Marblehead boys right now at halftime that is a big game for the boys's I believe they need another win to secure any type of home home game they punched their ticket to the playoffs already though and we're ready to get back underway let's see what the magician's drew up here to try and deal with the pace that the Panthers have put on them now to
038start the second half out an 8-3 run but it hasn't looked good for the magician's on offense either just 1/3 Moreland slap slap all the way from cloud out of nowhere I didn't really even see her they got it back though and another three for the magicians and rain hanif garth ii again she's had two big threes so at least keep the magicians within striking distance I fouled everybody came before the shot and Garth II was gonna have to go out of the game for the magician's that could be big for the bandura's she's the one who's hit both those big threes but if an ill-advised past they're looking for Marlon but there were two magician defenders there little floater - it's not gonna go horn when tried to save it but threw it out
039of bounds just on the other side of court so the magician's maintain possession here five minutes to go in this third quarter [Music] Clow over everyone nearly gets it in and draws a foul she's been a big difference maker on the inside for the magician's the foul called on Alyssa Moreland they're her and cloud would be going at it for wanted this game at least the time that Marlins been in the game it's been quite the battle actually the watch [Applause] Sall there looked like they called it on TIA Bernard looks a bit ticky tacky Brooke Becky checks into the game she's had a huge game for the Panthers hit three threes two really big ones I'm about a minute stretch things starting to get a little ugly here again nice little turnaround working against
040morale in there and she's able go Haley can't handle the pass visible frustration on her face after she couldn't handle that one so 3929 magicians have got it back to within ten and despite that great start for the panthers basically back where we started to start this half good hair Stan shil yelling from the side white we don't need straight-up steel we don't need Steel's just play straight up defense Moreland inside not going to go a little too strong Morland down the floor beats plough in a footrace and puts up the two and it's 41:29 now couldn't keep her balance there and stepped out of bounds the panthans will get the ball back Rosie on the inbound to McCarthy McCarthy of the freshman in the game because of the foul troubles for Beaudry good move
041by her there she's found Rosie open but couldn't quite finish the job the bell goes all the way down the floor and draws the foul that one on McCarthy that is Bridget Cobell the guard at the line one of three freshmen who started this game for the magicians that's her second go to get the deficit down to 11 Haley for three and that's all that's the tried to come up with a save but wasn't meant to be been a tough night from the shooting for Haley doesn't quite out the hot hand that we seem to see from her usually Brooke has made it up forth over the Panthers at least from the outside shooting more than going all the way down the floor by herself and the bucket won't go but she will go to
042the line can't get the first one do white hair checks back into the game replacing Rosie gosh she's had an impact in this game as she has five points Moreland misses her second as well but Brooke came up with a rebound Brooke for three just the two there but she is on fire tonight 13 points for long shot not gonna go [Applause] and a foul there on Moreland and now Sprague will check back into the game replacing ELISA Moreland after that latest foul she had quite the impact though a couple of blocks and six points in this quarter for the three thence off white hair grabs the rebound for the Panthers and macarthy's brings it up before Hayley behind the back that looked nice 45 30 she gets the style points there on that one
043we got the latest update here on the Beverly boys game and late in the third quarter it is 47 45 the score now the Panthers still ahead three air ball that time and a panel they're not gonna get away with that too often very obvious push there from gable on Haley Emily plow and leave a Walton check back into the game for the magician's both of them a part of the starting lineup Haley from three not gonna go white hair crimes the rebound gets the foul they're gonna say the bucket did not count though Sprague on the inbounds puts up the shot not gonna go white hair grabs the rebound again on our own I thought it was gonna go but not quite and she hurt herself there's twists her ankle and hosta hop back
044to the bench lay up not gonna go [Applause] I didn't see what happened there looked like I got knocked away from cloud and someone picked it up and almost an underhanded throw up couldn't tell if she was trying to pass it or just kind of threw the ball up underhanded but it went in and a foul there on number 11 and Haley Anderson will go to the line she's to a two from the free-throw line tonight make it three of three Haley gets them both four of four to Bell all the way up the floor and gets an easy layup 47:36 long three not going to go and that's how the third quarter ends with basically almost the exact same lead still for the Panthers that we started to start this quarter was a 10-point
045lead now it's an 11-point lead 47:36 but much better basketball from the Panthers the magicians hanging around hit some big threes but not as many mistakes for the Panthers not as many fouls and much better ball movement on offense substantial talking I'm now getting them to try and finish out this game and it will be imperative that they do because Marblehead looks game tonight but a little flip back here as we were talking about that we were a veer game on Tuesday close game in which Beverley pulled it out 52 46 we talked about how big of a game Moreland had but also Moreland for much of that game was working against a 6-foot above girl who has a scholarship to a d1 school name is Peppa CH and she has a d1 scholarship and
046Moreland still was able to put up 21 points 16 rebounds and 2 blocks and for the most part owned her throughout the entire game nothing can go there for the magicians and Brooke grabbed the rebound and now the Panthers set to go on offense here in this fourth quarter Haley for three drains at that time you can only keep her down for a little bit she's missed a couple of those threes tonight but you can't keep giving her open looks cuz she will drain them 52:36 the score now shots not gonna go Brooke got trapped in the corner there so that's Rosie in the game now so that spray can't handle it it goes out of bounds and then leave the magician's ball so I'm gonna gonna go Clow grabs the rebound working gets Prague
047puts it up in over her for the 250 238 the magician's able to answer again Brooke hesitated a little bit on that three eventually put it up after the defender got in her face of it Haley for three not a good look at that time the bell goes all the way up the floor looked like she didn't have a good shot a little out of control but she gets bailed out with a foul there on Brooke Bakey she can't get the first one teo bernard is gonna check into the game replacing rosie Gaucho magicians have played a big game very good game but one of the difference makers is both teams a lot of fouls both teams a lot of chances at the free-throw line the Panthers have made it count and Marblehead has struggled
048a bit Panthers at one point made seven free throws in a row just to give you a little numbers there just how much they have made it count tonight so Birkbeck he will go to the line now she's had a big night 13 points she's hit three threes and two came at a very big point in the game when Marvel had it tied the ball game up and then Beverly went on a 10-2 run to give themselves a little bit of a cushion and it came in about a minute and a half in which Brooke hit back-to-back threes they also had some free free throws - two-one-two looking for anderson over threw her a bid Anderson able to keep it in bounds but they have to reset Brooke for three she drains it there for
049three of the night she's been the real difference maker on offense for the Panthers lock shot it look like Sprague was the one who got a hand on that and another magician's foul there and I'll bring Haley Anderson to the line Haley gets him both she is not in history throw tonight she's six of six so five minutes left to go in this game Panthers have opened up nearly a 20-point lead now their biggest lead of the game 18 points Haley gets another shot from three-point range too strong again now nearly threw that ball away McCarthy have it Brooke for three again got bumped into but no call so as we mentioned before Beverly punched their ticket in they but they have a ninth place ranking right now and this win would help that seeding
050and maybe get them a home game Haley puts up a little floater for two born it and now it's a even 20 point lead for the Panthers Haley for three just a bit short long three air-balled a bit eventually sprayed kim's up with the rebound gets it out of there to McCarthy up the Florida Brooke Brooke can't handle the pass though Rosie the senior jumped in there with a reckless abandonment to get that ball but eventually ends up being a jump ball and I'll go to the magician's [Music] froz was all alone on the other end of the floor the hook couldn't see it [Music] doesn't matter if the Panthers get a bucket anyway and get the lead back out to 20 60 to 40 yard score yep timeout use there by the magician's and
051as you can see it on your screen there there's the playoff rankings right now all the standings as they are for the MIAA Division one North standings Beverly currently at number nine so a win here and they're hoping to improve their seeding here the stars next one means those are teams that have qualified as you can see North ender has qualified and over writing an Arlington might be a head of them four on the standings as you see there they just need that tenth win I believe to qualify this being the last regular-season game for the Panthers and after this will be the Larry McIntyre tournament on Sunday and Monday that will be right here in Beverly long three but it's not gonna go bit of an arid throw there and it gets picked off
052three-pointer is good two pointer and the Beverly boy Beverly boys tied at 65 65 right now with 15 seconds to go that's a big game for the Beverly boys as they need it for seeding and another long shot that one definitely at three and its 6245 break thought about it thought better of it Brooke for three not that time though [Music] just at that minute and a half mark now left to go in this one [Applause] seven Oh run here for marble had to close out this game and you've got to admire the effort that they have put on throughout this entire game could have packed it in for the season but they did not and they brought it and they made the Panthers work and they made the Panthers work for every bit of
053this game so far it looks like they're not completely done yet davell looking for a two and look good look like a lot of ball there but the call the foul so right now a minute to go 60 47 our score the stars of this game point what and our producer just gave me another update here as the Beverly boys have gone into overtime 65 65 the score their highlights point wise at least for the Panthers in this one Haley Anderson 18 points as we mentioned a few minutes ago when she was at the line she was seven of seven tonight from the free point line free throw line I'm sorry Brooke baekje knocked down four threes and she got that to the tune of 14 points Marblehead comes up with a steal there 6250
05452 seconds left on a ten-point lead and that was up until now a mysterious number 31 on the floor we didn't have at our roster for a bit but we have it now Sophie ahem Zee who got called up to the varsity team on the 25th she's into the game now all nearly stolen away it is stolen away by the magician's and a timeout called 30 seconds laughing it's a 10-point game as the magician's have come roaring back or actually yet 11 over on and as us as we said before you've got to admire this effort that this marble head team has put in not been up in the season they hoped for and going up against one of the better teams in their division and they could have packed it in for the season
055look forward to next year but they have not and they've even played hard down to the final whistle as that 11 o run has this at a ten-point game with 30 seconds lots ago strange things have happened before but no matter what the outcome you have to admire this effort by this marble I think Jimmy Callahan the head coach there has got them ready to play motivated and despite many attempts by the Panthers to turn the game into a rout the magicians have been able to come back and answer every time 20 seconds left I'm surprised they haven't gone to the automatic foul yet aggressively trying to go for the steal and they get a steal the time is running out now though inside I was working in Sydney Anderson and the clock will run
056out and the Panthers survived the late comeback there from the magicians and really survived the entire game from a magician's team that tried very hard to play spoiler and they win this one 60 to 50 on senior night last regular season game here on the home floor for Delanie Sprague and rosie gaucho and the Panthers come out of here with a victory 60 to 50 and we talked about at the beginning after that big game against Revere we were wondering what we would see they came out a bit flat and Stan shil was able to get them a little more motivated especially in the second half that came out fast eight to run but the magicians were game all night you got to give it to them could have packed it in for the season
057but they played spoiler they tried to play spoiler and they were in the Panthers face throughout this game they showed up expecting they've really playing to win and they put in quite the fight here but the Panthers take this 162 50 the last regular-season game up next for the Panthers is the Larry McIntyre tournament I believe they get Gloucester in that first round here we go Bishop Fenwick and of course they've met once before in the Masco tournament Panthers dropped that one 44 36 for looking so the Panthers looking for a little bit of revenge to start out that Larry McIntyre tournament and I'm Dominic Lorenz I know I think just about ready to sign off here I want to thank everyone I've cam Robert Doakes the producer doing a great job for me all
058season it's been fun I'll see you guys later for the Larry McIntyre tournament Panthers take this one on senior night 6250 good night [Music]
