We are unmuted. >> Beautiful. >> Video is now on so we can begin. >> I will call this meeting to order at 5:30 on the nose and we'll start with our pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> Perfect. Do we have any additions, deletions, or changes to the agenda? >> I have not been informed of any additions or changes to the agenda. So, agenda is as is. >> Fantastic. Do we have any public comment? I have not been asked for public comment or have not received anything and we have nobody here in the audience other than staff members. >> Beautiful. Um, cool. Moving on to section five consent

agenda. Everybody take a do get a chance to take a peek at it. >> I did. Do we have to add to it before I make a motion? I I just wanted to highlight uh the hiring of Ryan Anderson, our new uh self studies and English teacher, as well as there is a different item on there for the personal services agreement >> um to address our AL funding. We don't get notified until uh after July in July of who will be joining us with the open ed program. So I need a staff member to input all that data from >> open ed into Skyward. takes about 15 20 minutes per student to get everything in. So, um depending on how many kids we get. >> Yeah. We kind of I've seen the content on your

count. Oh, >> I make a motion to approve the consensus. >> Quick question. Um so, is that something we do want to have as a contract or would it be preferable to do it inhouse? >> Um obviously we'd like to do it inhouse but the timing doesn't work. It's after the school year and after the uh their work years are done for our classified folks. And right now we've only have one person who's trained on it who is available. >> Okay. >> Our other person is out out on thief. >> I will second the motion for the consent agenda. >> Debor I for that >> Nicole is with us. >> Beautiful. Is she ready? >> Yes. I had trouble getting on the meeting. It needed a passcode. >> Oh, sorry about that. >> So, I

went to April's meeting and it let me in. So, >> that that number up there is really big. I can't read it all. How'd that get up there? >> We are Are you looking at the the purple dot? >> Yeah. Taxes. >> Okay. April. These reports are as of April and April is a tax a property tax collection month. So, we always get a large collection in October and April. >> I remember. >> Yeah. >> So pretty. It's so pretty. Let's keep it there. >> I think that's the first time we've been over that figure though, isn't it? >> Yeah. >> Um I without verifying it looks like maybe. Yes. >> Well, we'll take it. >> Yeah. >> So, yes. So, you'll see the um yellow line there and we're well above it. Um and

again it was due to the fact that we just had a April as a collection month and um that will give us a cushion to make a a little bit of a transfer to capital projects to prepare for those big invoices that um I anticipate once we start projects with our um small district modernization grants. >> Beautiful. And this is our budget status reporting that we're about 66% of the way through the year. Um that first page there is our general fund as of April. Um with the ending fund balance of just over a million dollars. And then our Yep. Then the next fund is our capital projects fund. Um, starting to see a little more activity there since we um have started our projects and have been receiving some invoices for the gym um

project, leaving our ending fund balance at $316,000. Debt service fund has $31. Um, no activity. You'll see activity in May when we make our transfer for our bus payment. Next fund, ASB with an ending fund balance of $44,000. >> Right. >> And then our transportation vehicle fund has an end in fund balance of $129,000. >> Anything out of the ordinary this month, Nicole? >> Um, nope. We just had um we just completed our audit. I got our actual our paperwork um today that um showed that our financials were all in good standing. They um they added um a fund we've had going on forever, our um private purpose trust fund. the our our libraries at BM library. We had some scholarship funds that are in uh funds that they want me to move it from

our private purpose trust fund to our permanent funds. So, I don't know why now all of the sudden. Um and then we just need to make sure we put our ASB reports on our website at the end of the year and then um a couple um sped um paperwork items, but other than that, it it it looked pretty clean. So, I was we're we're doing really good with the financials and keeping everything in order. >> I I'll share all that audit information next month. We just got into >> Yeah, I just it just came in a day. So, I just want to make sure I gave you an update since I knew a little bit about that. >> Beautiful. >> The Anna Powell fund, that's the one they want you to move. >> Um, no,

it was the library. Is it um when I asked Aaron, he told me a staff member that was here back in the day said it's the funds we received to um update our our library. Is that what you said? Is that what you told me? >> I believe it's Anna Powell if I remember. >> Oh, okay. >> That we've had uh You guys have an idea how long it's been? >> Yes. So, yeah. So, right now I have it in fund 70, which is what we call a private purpose trust fund, which is a fund we flow scholarships through. And then they also have another fund um fund 80, which is a a permanent fund. So, they want me to move the funds to fund 80, which is called permanent fund. And um I'm not

sure why now all of a sudden or maybe it's just never been looked at before. So um I'll just make sure I do that by year end so that we report it on our next year's financials in the right in the right fund. >> Cool. Cool. >> Yeah. >> Anything else for Nicole? >> Thank you Nicole. Thank you Nicole. >> Yep. You're welcome. >> Clipping right along here. Aaron and his superintendent report. Thank you very much. Uh enrollment same as last month, no gain, no loss. Um 80 headcount, still tracking a little bit below where I had hoped we would be, but uh again, we are still working to increase that with our social media posts and other things that we're doing. Yard signs. >> I need some more. >> Uh we'll get you some

more. >> Okay. Um, now some updates from Open Ed. If you recall, I kind of signed up myself uh as as a parent enrolling in open ed for my daughter. See her name here, Morgan. Um, so they are now sending out emails to prospective Washington parents about uh completing their enrollment package for for open ed. So I got that earlier this week or earlier last week, excuse me. They're also doing a uh in-person recruiting event in u southwest Washington. I think it's Richfield. Okay. >> Uh why Richfield, Washington? I don't know, but I'm guessing there must be a large cluster of homeschool families there that uh so >> they really empath there. >> So, yep. Uh so, they're having that event and I mean it's free to attend, but kind of hear more about the

the open ed program. Um, I did ask since we're right in the middle of trying to budget for next year, uh, actually Nicole prompted this is we're trying to get a a handle on how many kids we think that will be, you know, with us because we don't want to over estimate. We don't want to underestimate. So, um, we can get the money when we need it and we don't have to pay anything if we overestimate. So, right now they have, you can kind of see this is their chart from open ed. uh thousand students have expressed interest or thousand families. Um they're now down to 651 and if you remember from Grant when he was here, he said about 60% of these families usually kind of cross the finish line into full enrollments. >>

Surprisingly, I thought I remember him saying that typically there's a couple hundred. >> I think in other states it's been up. So we are ahead of the curve. So, I keep asking, you know, when we're going to get kind of finalized numbers, uh, you know, if they can trickle in numbers to us. Okay, we've got five kids enrolled, 10 kids enrolled. So, I'm still working on >> uh them for getting that. But, um, again, things seem to be progressing quite well. They're, like I said, doing some marketing uh for that. As we are also marketing, um, we're working with a company called Momentum Marketing. We also happen to be eastern parent. We put up some yard signs in the local area. Jennet thankfully put some up at the pass for us and we're now also

put putting some ads on social media and he also has uh been on campus a couple times to do some filming. So there's some videos that we'll share out. So >> probably not going to get a lot of enrollment right now, but this is in preparation for next year getting those videos out so people can can see all the good things that we are we are offering here. Um the final gym design was this one. This one received the most votes. Kind of our our roaring jag. Um the board took that tour a little bit uh before the meeting started. We're right on actually we're ahead of schedule. So um we're feeling good about it. The last thing will obviously be the bleachers which get delivered um mid July. So, um, we kids will be

able to go out on the, uh, on the gym floor sometime in in July, but it'll be finalized, like I said, with the bleachers installed. But everything's looking good, and the guys down there are doing a great job. Um, lastly, we are, as you know, working with Boardocks. Boards was bought out by another company called Diligent. Uh, so we really have no choice. But now we have to go to a different interface. Uh it's still now instead of calling board dogs, it's now diligent community, but you can see it has some nice tieins to what they're doing with uh with our website and things like that. So >> I'm hoping our June meeting will be using the new interface. Yep. >> Not a 100% sure because I'm still being trained on it and it's a

little bit like drinking from a fire hose about all the stuff it can do. But the thing I did like it it can do split split screen so you can see the agenda and you can also see the uh like the attachments of the so that part looks good. Um but there'll be a bit of a learning curve but hopefully in June we can switch that. If not in June then then certainly July. >> Um also got some notification from OSPI about yeah >> what Jeff and the transportation team are doing. So I wanted to share that uh with with everybody. Um, that's a good letter. Uh, our buses are passing inspection as they should be. We have, you know, state-of-the-art buses now thanks to, you know, the board's work on buying a new bus

and buying some, you know, gently used buses from where we're there from Isiziqua. So, our fleet is in good hands. Have the two vans. We might even want to think about possibly looking at getting a third van uh as as things progress. Um, but more more to that to to follow. Jeff is not here tonight, so I happy to provide his uh report. Um have a line will be a little bit more brief than Jeff as we know. Uh but again, the wood floor is looking great. They are in the middle of sanding. Uh we will be doing the painting and ceiling next week. Like I said earlier, bleachers uh soon to be delivered in July 17th. Uh they'll be very similar to the bleachers we have in the multi-purpose room that have the you

know the power um movement from from and to the wall. Uh our athletic field uh we now have an interlocal with the water district so we can put some power to the scoreboard instead of having to do a little generator. Um so Iron Creek will help us with get that power installation. We've had lots of loads of fill being delivered out there and actually had a couple loads I think of top soil being delivered today. So, we're looking right on track with that after the the top soil's delivered. Jeff will do some grading and then we'll we'll hydro seed and I think we're we're right on track again set for some home uh football games in the fall. And it looks like the earliest uh preliminary schedule I saw from Kyle looks like we might

have five home football games which would be which would be great be exciting for our community and for our students. So that may change as you know schedules get uh >> has ASB started looking at maybe doing concessions during those games? >> We have a new ASB adviser who will help us be our football coach. So, >> nice how the center days there will go. It'll be perfect. >> Looks like somebody was planning that. So, uh yes, we will look at uh you know, ASB concessions. It' be nice to have maybe Mountain High or some of the other local companies come in and uh you know, help us out. and Nate might if they want to look at doing some like sponsorship opportunities um to try and just raise funds either for football specifically or

ASB um have them reach out to me and I can start helping them kind of work on different ways that I know some of the schools do not have a cheer squad but we could do boxes of some sort and >> absolutely >> make things happen. >> Thank you for that. Um, we've had our ASB fund is healthy because we've had some really nice donations, especially from up our supporters up at the summit. They've been very, >> very kind kind to us. Um, transportation, we spoken about that earlier with the letter, but everything buses are all a okay and in good shape. So, we pass our inspection with flying color. So, cheers to Jeff and and his team for that. >> Yay, Jeff. >> That is concludes Jeff's report and also my report. Fabulous. Got

any board member reports? >> Uh, nothing to report. Uh, anybody that's here for Memorial Day parade, it went well. Everything I'm hearing says it went well. Uh, I think one question I would ask is, has there ever been any interest in the school having a flow parade? >> That's a good question. >> You said it was pretty much all politician. You wanted like a handful make a float. >> I I think it's a great idea. We'd love to have some sports and everything. >> It's the hard part to us with the Memorial Day is, you know, we got all our kids doing track. >> Yeah. >> Uh you know, our small population size. Absolutely. >> It's hard to get the kids, but I think we might be looking at one of our new ASB officers

right down there. So, >> vice president. >> It will. >> But I would love to do it. I know we we've done kind of the merch table and things like that, but they have a presence in the parade. >> It doesn't have to be something, you know, it can be the tractor with some purple >> anything. Yeah. Anything, but each each grade class gets to do something with >> I love the idea. We can put that out next year and get get some help for us to do it. Yeah. Love it. >> Love it. Look. >> Anybody else? Just wanted to thank everybody for an excellent school year and also a sports season and an extracurricular season that was really incredible um what's come together through this this year. So >> yeah, I think the

school is definitely starting to feel like it's getting str. >> Yeah. >> Yep. >> Well, some of the upgrades we're doing facilities. We got five athletes going to state track meet. Uh launching a new sport with wrestling. We're moving in the right direction, especially with open ed now to help us out on on the financial side. Um it's it's a good place to be. It's all good stuff. It's a good place to be. >> Okay, there's nothing else and we can move on to section 8 for discussion. Yeah, I just wanted to share our uh tenative master schedule for next fall. Um, see, we're still on doing our purple and gold day. So, Monday and Wednesday is our purple day, then Tuesday, Thursday is our gold day. But, uh, same block schedule com uh concept

that we had this year. I don't want to change that two years in a row, but sure why some of my margins didn't line up. But, um, I'm excited. Mr. Clemens, who's here in the audience tonight, will be teaching uh an AP psychology class, which we've never had before. And also will be teaching a culinary arts class. >> Uh like the CTE class, you can see we're we're really trying to uh trying to kind of hammer home the CTE dual credit uh availability, especially in our seventh period classes. Um so some really good things happening. Uh, Coach Nate will be taking over JAG leadership for uh, Miss Lloyd. Expect good things out of there. But very similar schedule to what we did this year, but just, you know, a few tweaks with uh, Mr. Plemens

and Mr. Anderson coming on board. Um, you'll see Miss Lewis is now doing both high school and middle school. Mr. Anderson's doing high school and middle school as well. felt it gave us a little bit more flexibility from uh instead of just doing only high school or doing only middle school that we have our staff doing both. So again, this is just an FYI for the board. Any questions that I can answer to for the board? >> Looks good to be everybody seems like they like blog schedule this year. yourself. >> It has uh certainly not perfect, but has has gone over well. Um and I want to thank the teachers because we couldn't have made this work without the the teachers giving some concessions about prep prep time. Um you'll see most schools are

going away from the block schedule because offering eight classes instead of you know five or six traditional classes. So, it is a more resource uh uh intensive schedule, but uh our staff felt it was worth it and I mean thank you to them and for making it work for our kids. >> Uh the other item we have is the signing of the class of 2026 diplomas which are over on the counter there. So, I have spots for director Phillips and Director Raren to sign. If you want to do that now or we could do that after the meeting, those will those will be there for you. >> I'm planning to do it after. >> We'll kick along here. >> Perfect. Okay, moving on to section nine then board business and we have a resignation. >>

It's all right. >> We'll forgive you. >> You can see resignation from uh Director Mi after his years on the board. um just want to thank him for all the efforts that uh you know he was on the board that hired me so has a special place in my heart uh and has done a lot of good work uh for our district and I just can't thank him enough for his leadership and his support of the school. So uh sad to to leave but he's still here as a parent and will still be active in our community as fire chief. So >> we're happy about that. So I do need a motion to if they want to accept his res. >> Oh, it's a choice. >> It's a choice. But he ain't coming back. >>

I will make the motion to accept Philip N's resation. >> Do we have a second? >> I'll second. >> All in favor? >> I. >> Thank you everybody. Since I stepped down as fire chief, I'll let you guys make the motion in a second. Hi. >> The other item under board business is our annual board uh calendar of dates and agenda topics. Very similar to what we uh have been doing this year. Did take out some of the strategic planning that we had last year, but I don't know if there's any questions uh that the board may have. Again, this is always tentative, subject to change as people are out ill or aren't able to make it. So, I try to hit all the topics that we we have in the past. So, >> yeah,

>> if the board is okay with it, if we could get a motion to approve our, uh, board calendar for 2627. >> I will make the motion. >> I'll second. All >> f I. >> Perfect. Do we have any interested candidates in the open position for the the school board? >> No. Um because we just accepted the uh resignation, I haven't we haven't >> no line yet. >> No no line out the door. >> Nobody be meeting down the door. >> But we will come together with a a timeline of events just like we've done in the past. >> Okay. >> Cool. >> All right. That wraps up section nine. We are on to section 10. Exact session. >> I'm guessing we're going to need maybe 15 minutes. >> Let's do 15 minutes. >> What

was that? That was hard. Uh >> 608. >> Yes. >> How about we say 610? >> Sure. Let's call it 610. We'll be back by 610. We're discussing whenever changes. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> Great. >> Okay. >> So, we're in exec session. So, you can either choose to wait here, Austin, if you want and wait for us to come back or you can go home. Whichever you like, >> right? >> Oh, okay. Well, you're going to wait here. So, we we'll be going long. We've got a executive. We got We'll be back. Brad, you're welcome to stay here, too. So, whatever you like. Sure. So, uh, do you know your class schedule next year? >> No, but they just put it up there. >> And I saw me as a at English.

>> Okay. Are you kind of nervous about that? >> Hate English. >> Oh, you do? >> Yeah. English is one of my worst subject English. >> What's your What's your favorite? >> Uh, math. >> Okay. or actually I don't know where art right now I guess. Oh, okay. My grade right now is math. It's like a 97. >> Okay. What What math are you in right now? >> I am in geometry. >> Oh, okay. >> So, that'll put you into algebra 2 next year with me. Okay. >> And I passed my algebra one class with 110%. >> Nice. Yeah. >> I didn't realize it was possible. >> Extra credit. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Are you um So, when I look at my schedule, you know, obviously I'm teaching like outdoor ed and >> like

do you get to choose who you want as your outdoor ed teacher? >> Um yeah, sometimes. >> So, like when when do you make that decision? Like I mean it's got to happen before fall, right? uh first day of school to I think two weeks. >> Oh, okay. >> Yes. >> And then I'm assuming there's maybe a teacher that kids aren't too excited about taking outdoor ed with or are they all pretty good? >> Um I mean every every teacher has their perks in like their pros and cons. >> What were you doing last year? >> I didn't have outdoor pet last year. I was in leadership. >> Oh yes. Somehow I thought you guys were all required to have an outdoor deck class. >> Um it's kind of does like a PE class or

like a physical education. >> Okay. >> But I think cuz I took one. Wait actually. So >> I need I still need. >> So if if you are going to be ASB, you would had ASB as a class, but you still have an outdoor ed class. >> Um ASB isn't considered a class. I mean leadership, I guess. >> Oh, okay. But you're required to take leadership, right? >> Yes. If I'm an ASB, I'm required to take leadership. >> Okay. >> Yeah, >> that's cool. >> Yeah. >> So, I don't know if it's 100%, but I already talked to her principal. I think um for my outdoor class, we're going to make a troll for troll. Are you familiar with the Pacific Northwest trolls? >> No. Are they like bridges? Uh so um the troll underneath

>> there's one on Bashant. There's one in Isiqua. Uh there's uh there's the Udub troll right under Fremont. It's made of concrete. Here I'll show you a picture. Um >> I have no clue. >> They they stand like 20 feet tall. They're pretty ridiculous. Um like in their size, but um Oh, this is Jacob. Two trees. This is the Isiqua one. Oh yeah. So, I mean, I don't know if you can tell, but I mean, he's he's probably 20 feet from head to foot. >> So, it' be like a workshop class with like a >> Yeah, we would probably do some design and >> once we settle on a design, we I mean, I'm a I'm a I'm a dream carpenter >> and in I'm a general contractor in construction. So, I've got um I've

already got like probably all the fasteners lined up. Somebody's going to donate >> all the bolts and screws and washers and all that stuff. Um but uh the you can't really see it, but underneath all of those cedar planks is like a 2x4 framing. So, basically it's uh building a frame for it and then attaching all of the >> pieces of cedar. >> Yeah. Nice. >> Yeah. But um and I don't quite know how it works, but I've heard I've heard um some of the Outdoor Red teachers take their kids up to like kayak or snow climbing. >> Snow snow snowboarding. Yeah, >> snowboarding. So I could see either a doing that or b crosscountry skiing or snowshoeing. So I haven't snowboarded >> I haven't snowboarded in over 20 years, but um I would definitely

get back into it. stuff. But um I still like I cross country ski, I snowshoe, >> um I love to hike. Um so >> yeah. >> Nice. >> Yeah. Yeah. Um and then uh I So culinary arts would be an elective. Is that something that you would take or is that >> Yeah, 100%. >> Like would you do you have to choose to take culinary arts or do you automatically get put in? Um, it depends, but I think 11 and 12th graders are the only people who get to take it. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. They trust. >> Yeah. >> Class. Yeah. >> Oh, okay. Do Do you like to cook right now? >> Uh-huh. >> Yeah. What do you like to make? Um, just like desserts and stuff. >> Oh, okay. Like are you

um do you do you make like box cakes? Does that kind of >> um I've never made like a a cake multiple layers, but I like I learned I learned recipes before of like how to make like a a lemon poppy seed cake. >> Oh, okay. >> Those are really good. Um >> I I do love a lemon poppy seed. >> Carrot cake. I I carrot cake. Um >> I love carrot cake. >> So, do you um do you do you also make brownies and cookies? >> Yeah. Do you cook um like savory items? >> Um I guess I made a parmesan spinach scone once. >> Oh, okay. >> It turned out really good. >> Oh, okay. >> My whole family is a baker. My We own the coffee shop up at the Pass Red

Mountain Coffee. >> Oh, you do? >> Yeah. >> Oh, okay. >> And do do you live up there? >> Uh no, I live in Eastston, but we used to live up there. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> Oh, Red Mountain Coffee. Uh, so I'm familiar familiar with Laconia. Um, I just moved up there in October, so I mean I'm still kind of learning. So Red Mountain, is that is that the one that's um >> in front of Commonwealth right next to right next to >> There's Pie for the People with Sam's Market is in the other building. You're in that building. >> Yes. Yeah. >> The other half. >> Gotcha. Better piece of Let's just say that. >> Really? Yeah. >> Oh, okay. At least that's my opinion. I don't know about you. >> Uhhuh.

I I've never had pizza at Red Mountain. >> It's uh It comes out around 10:00 and it's really a lot to say about it. Super good. >> Okay. Do you guys make your own crust? >> Uh we do buy frozen crusts. Uh I mean we buy all the ingredients. We just like have a special sauce you put on the Do you work there? >> Uhhuh. >> Yeah. about I mean I'm more of a coverer because >> Okay. >> I'm the kid of the the shop so I don't have a complete schedule. >> Yeah. >> But I ask people if they want a day off or two. >> Oh, okay. >> I'll ask them. >> Oh, okay. That's cool. Well, I'll have to stop by and see if I see you in there sometime. >> Usually

work on the weekends because >> Okay. >> Yeah. I think I'm working there this Saturday afternoon. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. Too cool. >> Yeah. So, if you were to um like if you think of like savory grounds, like dinner items, what's your what's your favorite thing to eat >> uh at the pass or like >> No, just just at home like I mean if you were or if you go to a restaurant, what would you order? >> Um for breakfast for dinner? Uh biscuits and gravy. >> Okay. >> I make some good biscuits. >> Do you make gravy, too? Um, I haven't learned that yet, but I grabbed gravy from Z coffee shop. >> Gravy is so easy. That's a good I'll squirrel this back into my mind. We'll make biscuits and gravy this

year. Um, what what else do you like to eat? >> Um, I like to eat fetuccini alfredo. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Like with chicken or seafood or >> Yes. And then we should make crab rang goods. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, um I I've taught culinary arts for like four years now and chicken alfredo is something all my kids want to learn how to make. So, we always make chicken alfredo during the year. Um and uh crab rangon. Um I've made um like fried wontons and egg rolls with my kids. So I don't see why I couldn't make crab rangon. I mean that's >> again pretty easy. So >> yeah I I've only had it once and it was really good. It was like five years ago. >> And then you have

like the uh sweet spicy sauce you did >> the chili thing. >> It was really good. >> I can teach you guys how to make sauces too. So >> yeah, super fun. >> I'm excited. >> Yeah. Do you uh getting back to the breakfast, so biscuits and gravy? Do do you ever have omelettes? >> Um yeah, sometimes. Um eggs aren't just my favorite food, but >> Uhhuh. >> but I just had seven hardboiled eggs at home. >> Okay. For after my workout. >> Uhhuh. See, it's protein, I guess. >> Yeah. Yeah. What do they do in their executive board meeting? Do you know? >> No clue. This is my fourth board meeting ever. >> Oh, okay. >> So, I'm kind of new to this. >> And isn't there another student representative supposed to come to

this? >> Angela Bookwalter. She is taking a AED class. >> Oh, okay. >> So, she's like busy every single Tuesday, Thursday. >> Uhhuh. >> Like Friday, I think. Or is it >> Tuesday? Tuesday. No, is it it's Tuesday, Thursday, like some one of the days of the weekend. Every other day she's busy. >> So, I heard um with the school being so small, I heard prom is like pretty much everybody gets to go. Did Did you go? >> Yeah, I went um it was just the middle schoolers and high schoolers this year, >> but none of the middle schoolers went. >> Okay. >> And not that much of the high schoolers went. Like how many people? >> 20. Okay. >> So, they're really easy to shop around. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Did you want

to like do the whole prom thing where like you get dressed up and get pictures? >> Yeah. >> And you go to dinner somewhere? >> Uh, no. I I don't prom like prom's like 700 p.m. to 10, I think. >> Okay. Something like that. Yeah. >> Okay. So, it sounds like your brother is going to be a senior this year. Is that true? >> But do do you do you go to the graduation? Did do you go to graduation just cuz it's something to go see or >> Yeah. >> So, like this year, even though you don't have brothers graduating, you're going anyway. >> My brother's girlfriend is graduating. Jane Doc. >> Oh, Jen's daughter. >> Yes. >> Oh, okay. Yeah. Yeah, >> she she's Jade is awesome. She's so nice. >> Yeah, >> I

have not met Jade yet. We uh turns out we're actually I mean I would say neighbors like we're >> Do you live on Hayek? >> Yeah. Yeah. So I just built a house. Um >> what road? >> On Hayak Drive. Have you been to the Phillips house or Jesus? >> Yeah. >> Oh, and you so you go down Hayak Drive. >> Yes. Um, as you drive down that road, I am the house that's Well, I mean, you got Green Belt on the left. Left, I'm on the right. And, um, Do you know Do you know Trappers kids? >> Yes. >> Oh, okay. I'm two homes to the right of Trapper. >> So, you're facing their house. Two homes to the right. >> Oh, wait. That's the >> Timbers. >> That was the empty lot. >>

Well, it was empty three years ago. So, I did concrete three years ago. Two years ago. Did all the framing. Um, >> nice. >> This last year was all interior finish. So, um, but if you Yeah, if you drop by, it's it's got big black timbers. There's a hot tub on the deck. >> I know you're talking about >> Yeah, that's that's my house. >> Yeah, >> it's a good neighborhood to live in. >> It It is. We've got a >> I like how from what I've heard, there's about 50% like part- timerrs and 50% full-time. Most of it's just like >> rich people who that's just like their cabin. >> Yeah. They just come up for skiing or >> Yeah. >> There's a couple that live down the road from us that they're only

up in the summertime because they don't ski but they like to hike. >> Yeah. >> So they go to Arizona in the winter. Um winterbirds I guess what they call that. >> Yeah. I know that's for a lot of people it's a vacation home and >> and then what's really nice is like the area that I live including like you know Jen Phillips I'd say we're more like 70% full-timers on our road >> versus 50%. >> Yeah. Upper Hayak it's like empty. That's where I used to live. I used to live on uh >> my address was like like 111 Arlberg Drive. >> Okay. I know. I know that. Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. So we had a quick walk to the to the face of Hayak. >> Yes. >> Just like ski down to the

lift and back up. >> Yeah. >> And sometimes when the roads are snowy, we would ski back down to our road. >> It was really easy. >> Are you a skier or a snowboarder? >> Um, both. >> Oh, okay. I mostly skier, but I'm learning to snowboard. I snowboard for like half a season. >> Okay. Yeah. >> Too cool. What do your parents do? >> Uh, they manage the coffee shop. >> Okay. >> Um, my mom has like a an egg business thing. We do like five bucks a dozen. We have a hundred something chickens. Yeah. And >> well, like how how many eggs are you selling? Um, we usually get about cuz like 70% of our chickens are for like we sell their eggs for like breeding and stuff. >> Okay. >> Or not.

Yeah. Um, we sell 70% of the chickens. We put roosters in the cage. So, we fertilize eggs and we sell them for like a lot 20 bucks an egg. >> Really? Yeah. Because we have lots of rare chickens. Oh, I think they're called like Do you know what most of the chickens breeds are? Like >> I I'm familiar with how some of them look. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Um >> Americanos, they're kind of rare. >> Okay. >> Um zombie chickens, they're not as rare, but they still produce a cool color egg. >> Okay. What color eggs is a zombie? >> A tealish spots. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. do. So, I just got a dozen eggs from Jen. I took them brisket Saturday um because I smoked a brisket over the weekend, but um she

ended up giving me a dozen eggs and I swear she's got some teal colored eggs, but I I imagine there's other chickens that laid teal colored eggs. >> Yes, ducks also lay teal colored. >> I'm a duck egg fan. Like, if I had a choice, I would prefer duck eggs over like chicken eggs. >> Um we have >> So what do you So the 30% So you got 70% are laying >> eggs that we sell and then we make about >> um 10 dozen a week of eggs. >> Oh, okay. Yeah. So my mom makes me bring eggs to school every week. Uh-huh. >> Almost every week >> like for people to buy? >> Yeah. >> Oh, okay. Do you do you ever have extras or not? >> Uh, last week I did. Yeah. >>

Oh, okay. But then you eat those probably as a family, right? >> Okay. >> You sometimes have a big omelette, but I don't. I usually ask for like a two egg omelet or something like that. My dad eats like a 10 egg omelet. It's crazy. >> Holy moly. >> I know. >> 10 eggs. >> Yeah. That's crazy. >> Yeah. >> Usually when I make omelets, um because I I do all the cooking in the house, so my wife and I um if I make us an omelette, it's usually a five egg omelette. But um we like to do a egg white only omelets um because it's like, >> you know, >> yeah, >> a little bit like I guess less cholesterol or something. Um but uh yeah, that probably wouldn't bother you because you're into

the egg business. >> Yeah. >> Seems like a waste of a yolk, right? >> Yeah. I mean, we make enough that it's not that much. >> Yeah. So, I never had a egg white omelette. Is it good? >> Yeah, they're good. Good. There's a trick to getting them fluffy. So, >> you uh was good. >> You can you can use like a a hand mixer. >> Yeah. >> Um or you can use a uh immersion blender. >> Never heard of it. >> Uh I'll end up buying at least one for the kitchen, but it's a it's like a it's about yay long. It's got a handle about this big around and then there's a a wand to it about this big around with a metal thingy at the end with like a blade. That's >>

I have a smaller one of those. Yeah. Okay. Use it for coffee. >> Oh yeah. So there's a we have So the one we have for coffee has like a whisk at the bottom. Is that what you have a whisk? >> It's the actual like circle thing with like the round wire things and it spins when you press the button. >> Oh yeah. Yeah. So, a water. Yeah. Well, we have one of those, too. Um, yeah. No, the immersion blender is you can actually like you can make a milkshake. >> Oh, it's like the round circle thing with like it's like kind of hollow, I guess. It's like upside down shell egg or something like that. >> An upside down what? >> Shell egg or shell? Shell of an egg. >> Shell of an egg.

Uh, yeah. It's got a metal kind of a frame so Yeah. And then there's holes around it so it sucks stuff in and >> Yeah. >> blends. Yeah. Yeah. So, we'll get one of those. They're four minutes late. That's about something. How long do these meetings usually go? >> No. My the longest one I've stayed for was like a quarter. >> Oh, okay. So, we should be done around 6:30. >> Yeah. But I've never had an executive executive. >> Oh, okay. Well, it sounds like they're they're pretty much we're on the 10th thing right now. So, share any good news and then motion to rejoin the board meeting and then we're done. So, I think yeah, 6:30 about Do you have good news? Um, I guess I'm going to Montana for the whole entire summer.

>> What are you going to do in Montana? >> Visit old friends. >> Okay. >> Yeah. So they used to live here. >> I I used to >> You used to live in Montana. >> Yeah. >> Where in Montana? >> Billings. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> My dad graduated there. >> That's Montana State. No, that's Boseman. And Missoula is University of Montana. >> Yeah. >> What's What's in Billings? >> I thought it was >> Or is it is it University of Montana? >> I think so. Here. When did you move out here? >> Um about sixth grade. So I was about 10. >> Oh, okay. >> Yeah. >> And you're just staying with friends for like the summer. >> I'm going to stay with my grandparents. They're going to come down. They're going to

watch Jade's graduation. Okay. >> And some of my other friends. And then we're gonna leave May or June 8th. >> Oh, okay. >> So, I will miss out on the last day or the last week of school. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Too fun. And then do would you like work for your grandparents over the summer or help them with anything? >> Uh, I'm going to play to Domino's Pizza. >> We make pizzas at the coffee shop. So, I was like, "Yeah." And plus buy stuff. >> Yeah, you should be able to have get an easy in. Right. >> Exactly. >> Yeah. >> Six minutes. >> I know. I know. Chatty Cathy. When have you ever seen me not be a chatty cat? >> But your name's Haley. >> I know. >> Okie dokie. Uh >>

yes. Um, we went over time. So, do we have a motion to approve the extension of exact session to 616? >> I will make the motion. >> Do I have a second? >> I will second. Motion. >> All in favor? >> I I >> Beautiful. Okay. All right. We are on to section 11. Sharing of good news. >> Yeah. I have some things I'd like to share. 058receiving the outdoor ed grant. So now we're finally being able to use them. Uh and lastly, we have our big high school reward trip going to Silverwood Amusement Park here on June 10th. going again. >> I've been asked to go again and to be perfectly honest, so I don't know if I get to I don't know if I have the time this year to go again, but it was an amazing trip last year.
