001[Music] [Applause] George Copely Seenu is the point guard lefty Devlin hello and welcome to the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse here on channel 22 the Bev cam Sports Network Alex Luke go alongside Tom Donovan in Beverly is gonna host the Gloucester fishermen tonight Beverly coming in at 7 and 3 off of a win Gloucester coming in at 6 and 2 they are from the NEC south are also coming off an impressive win against Salem well this should be another good one and I think Alex you know again like you mentioned Washington 62 there's any time you be the Salem program team that's always a nice feather in your cap glossa being coached by chris Lovera who's in the second year he's assisted by one of the Pratt twins John Pratt I coach the goose John and
002Jay the twins years ago and also assisted by Adam Philpott another Gloucester play and Brian Cahill coach the JV team arolea his father bill Cahill was the Gloucester Coast for years Diamond Gloucester that Salem Gloucester game I believe that happened on Friday and we watched that I know you sent it over to me I watched it and I wasn't too impressed with this Gloucester team although they're six and two there's a couple things that stood out to me they don't rebound the ball well on the defensive end and they're not that big but no they're not big I noticed that too when warm us tonight but this is a true for reason and unlike coach Saverio pointed out to me they they get some real tough games count they get Beverly here where Beverly's always
003tough here in their Court then they have to play the two little teams in class well I think that in the back so it's tough League this year it is it is it's a much tough believe it's odd we pretty balanced and should be entrusted before we get going to Alice I want to mention the scores table before I forget we have a group of people donated that gaming the game over here you have Ellie Scanlon been down there for years Dickey young Matt Brennan and my buddy Devlin who's from Belfast I'll anoint meant to summon he coaches the boys soccer team good men so to those four people just they do a great job down in Devlin especially putting up helps a lot Alice we know is putting up the fouls how many on
004the team I'm a on the individual net it's a big help to us the little stats came in today from the Beverly satyr around the whole North Shore for basketball and we have a couple not leaders but couple Beverly players that are up there Duncan Moreland in ouija terrain both tied for 17th with thirteen point four points per game Jack Crowley ranking fourth with 9.6 rebounds a game and Matt rodding tied third four assists per game of four and a half also I noticed uh Scott he's up there with assists in that top ten and also rebounds Duncan Wallens up in so we talked was early Alice about he called balances team is very balanced it's nice to see sure tonight's gonna be another game just like that you never know who's gonna take over
005for the Panthers night by night I'm gonna have the starting lineups for Gloucester here starting is gonna be Benjamin Oliver Brendan O'Brien Mark Smith in Matthew Smith two brothers they're in Marcus montseny no Yunos brother also on the team matt month amin oh yeah mama kelly Ryan's an old friend of mine from down the old back heel washing day so I flipped out to Kelly Ryan mr. Boies the playing varsity this year and the Beverly side it says terrain there on your screen but he will not be starting tonight in his place will be might get Davies getting his first start here at Beverly High School to join him will be Crowley Moreland Abreu and rotting it's gotta be a good feeling for the first time hearing your name and the starting lineups there for
006Davies again I might use only my Philly man I call him like my boy from Philly he's only two now I think puzzle Givenchy rise for the national anthem yeah [Music] moments away from the opening tip here at the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse where again Beverly will be hosting D cluster fishermen as the game goes along Alex will be trying to get some scores on the girls game the girls as you know down in Gloucester tonight so we're trying to keep you up-to-date with any updates on the school going going on down in Gloucester we have Timmy Moreland Duncan dad is up down there and glass done he's been super all ye able you know give us a quick update scores throughout the season so Jamie Moreland thank you very much much appreciated my man
007it's gonna be O'Brien in Crowley in the tip watching that game against Salem O'Brien by far and away the fisherman's best player do a little bit of everything as ball ends up bouncing off the ref fishermen have first possession stolen by Moreland he's going the other way already Mullen bit of a Euro step off the mark rebound montseny no all the way up quickly he's gonna be an easy two excuse me a little too soon as O'Brien grabs the offensive board Davies with the defense he'll redirect it and grab the board both teams spotting off a little tight Alex Roddy okay looks like glosses central zone is it the 3-2 zone one to two zone I'll bring you back to rowdy 14 on the shot clock Davies mid-range jumper he'll get fouled he'll shoot two
008very valuable starting for the young we're not even young he has a junior but first year in Beverley Davies very big start for him in Moreland seems to be limping grabbing that right ankle he's gonna be coming out quickly and the rain will hop in for him who's that follows on the thirty beliefs so Moreland's gonna get looked at over at the bench my trainer Sharla Baroness it's not a good sign I don't like to see that Miss Ellie Davy's gonna miss the first free-throw okay you feeling miss the first one ii was up no good o'brien with the board quickly gets it to Smith Brian guarded by Crowley Smith down low to montseny no pass nice move nice move two points for montseny no gloucester leads to nothing 652 left to go in the
009first the rain just entered the game they found Crowley Crowley underneath he gets it sent away by Smith coming the other way quickly Derain trying to track it down he pokes it away it's gonna be last touch by O'Brien good job by trotting to come up yeah balls off the blinds foot alright - nothing's 6:40 the goal in the first quarter [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so brave trying to get it down to davies terrain now we'll bring you up top he'll take a pretty deep three he'll knock it down Abreu with the first three points for the Panthers and it's three to Beverly Lee mountain Ino up to Oliver Smith to O'Brien back to Smith mid-range jumper off back iron rebound Crowley [Applause] bring you now in the corner it's terrain but he couldn't handle it
010going the other way 559 left in the first I'm in the wrong place out filming the hands I haven't heard that one got any kind of catch it I'm gonna use that that we'll be playing a man-to-man defense yeah O'Brien nice deflection by James DL by Davies gonna try to take it coast-to-coast that your OSAP he gets it sent away by O'Brien Brea picks it up mid-range Jay good five points for towles got here early in the first come up to five and a half minutes five to Beverly not only 105 nothing run Smith he's guarded by Davies it's Oliver now he'll take a three off the mark rebound O'Brien his second offensive board rips it away Smith now with it that's watt Smith to Smith Brothers in the starting lineup gets it to his
011brother Matthew off the backboard no good rebound Crowley till scan he's pushing it up Ronny back out to Abreu he'll take another three it's a heat check we're gonna counter from three that one count on my JL you didn't even call backward yeah who wouldn't counted but again it's belying it ain't nothing right in the update to all eight points coming from tal Scotty Abreu glass or not still counts off the mark is montani no I save all of her quick shot no good rebound rotting head to Davies oh honey if a spin move but Crowley gonna be called for a travel or a double dribble yeah good call good call [Applause] Duncan Moreland still getting looked at over on the bench you know glosses in that zone Al's about Beverly I try and look
012to run a little bit more I'm trying to be the best way to beat his own as a beat it down court before they get a chance to set up O'Brien to Montana no the other thing to Alps they get that middles wide open they go look like some penetration from the middle maybe put Crowley in that middle I haven't any trail off it probably certainly has made a living down there this season I steal nice play but Louise you got to here and in the up he's going to loop all the way he'll get fouled they'll shoot to believe it's gonna be on Smith on Mark Smith to be his first his first team second 3:46 left to go in the first Beverly leads 8 2 Duran shootin 2 I really over three fret
013the line tonight they always run up and down upon the line this year haven't they else they have both teams but Knights they've shot at walls but nice they struggle a bit 1 for 4 they'll going on a 9 nothing run right now you know the stopping who pls make it close to take a quick timeout all of her penetration gets it to O'Brien he'll be fouled it's gonna be on Crowley loosely yep fouls on Crowley his first team face 333 the go [Applause] we can see who's shooting this outside the scenes number from that line it's O'Brien second shot is good after missing the first O'Brien on the board tonight his first points so he breaks the 9 nothing run by Billy begins ray you looking into the corner gets it down to Crowley
014working I'm on Toninho up for two cysts coming from Abreu Brea has his hands and all 10 points he scored eight of them excuse me he's had it his hand in 10 out of 11 points scored eight assisted on that bucket as crowd was gonna be called for a second foul and care Kudus might have to call the bench here I think probably knows he's coming off to the side alright with Moreland already on the bench and Crowley in foul trouble it's gonna have to be Ryan Bearer to play some big minutes along with Micah Davies early in this game mock's missed makes the first free throw and makes them both I'm gonna fight belly cut up to three minute mark again Gloucester now it looks like they've gone to a 2-3 zone now so
015this wall man it's gotta be a butter on that ball or something second one that slipped away in that corner this time it was rotting Ray's putting it on the money [Applause] sniff past half court [Music] Smith in the corner drives baseline gets to montanita on the opposite corner thinking about a step back but gets it out Oliver driving he'll be fouled I believe by de rain on the floor we'll see it is okay that's gonna be Luigi's fourth foul third on the beam no it's a shooting foul oh right not on the floor but Oliver will shoot two and Kamara getting some first quarter minutes he comes in for rotting love them five Beverly 11 six two and a half left to go on the first launch the floor for 6 from the line
016ee 1 for 4 could come back to haunt the Panthers as Toscani has it poked away but it's last touched by O'Brien and the fishermen let the penetration by Toscani go junior Kenny Turner coming in for Oliver [Applause] Kamara thinking about a three gets it back to Abreu he has come out open in the corner pulls off kids I like this kid good length Kamara knocks it down kid's gonna be a good one Ellis Hans and waste it's a perfect pass the ball body I'll tell you Turner deep to got it to go sis coming from montseny no 13 8 Beverly 148 all nice pass underneath Kamara kicks it back out to the rain three no good rebound montseny no Smith working on tomorrow Monta Nino to montseny no a three no good rebound Turner
017the putback off the mark a Bray you coming away with it nice move by much of Scotty run against by Seth Kamara in the corner for three we know a good shot quickly get this man on that Bell he's gonna go brave charging but he couldn't get their 11 13 10 ballgame less than a minute to go 58 seconds in common terrain Davies in the corner for three got it nice shot a big Davies is on the board with that free sis coming from bear Peverley up six super one bubbles only get the ball back again they get it right there as Abreu comes away with it charging gets it to chimera up for two and Ray you eight points three assists two rebounds so far in the first this team leads 1810 and we're
018gonna get a foul I think we got a an injury oh no they caught you right hold on the ring and that's his second so Beverly with two players with two fouls in the first quarter fourth on the team second on Luigi draining Crowley both with two he takes a seat 18 seconds of gold the first quarter 1810 Beverly Turner gets it to O'Brien deep two gets the roll gets it in two points for him Ryan four seconds rotting pulls up gets deflected by Turner and that'll do it after one the Panthers lead 1812 after a big first quarter from Toscani Abreu eight points three assists two rebounds for the young fella and Beverly seems to be in good position although they do have a couple players in foul trouble with Crowley enduring having two
019apiece and it looks like Moreland will not be coming back in judging by his body language and the amount of weight he's been able to put on that right that's not good not good well we got a quick timeout here we're gonna do a quick around the city of Beverly give a quick shout out to all the old-timers out there we got my boy Danny Mavis's Jaclyn Mari Roger Morenci the good pal Johnny P Danny Corrado stick Crowley also Tyler Vostok was home with the girls his wife Liz his two little girls Sloan and Sienna also my another X cap tonight Alex Popkin Bali I talked to Scott say Scott's a great kid he's like that's what Catherine 2000-2001 he's watching tonight with his wife Katie his son Scotty and his daughter Mia okay so
020hello to them welcome Bali plan all right so 1812 Beverly after one marine and Crowley on the bench we'll start this second quarter Beverly sending out Abreu bearer chimera Davies and rotting not a lineup were used to seeing a lot as three of these five players in the court right now not used to starting games for the Panthers but they'll rely heavily on them tonight with the foul trouble and injury to Moreland rotten gets it to Davies implicitly into and it looks like that was poked away right into the hands of Davies it's gonna be a timeout call by the Panthers those a very unusual play there as Davies put it in for two rodding tried to get it to him in the first place and it was deflected by a Gloucester defender just went
021right to Davies anyway else who'd you have four baskets in the first corner the full belly and Crowley with one home and Crowley with two points to reign with one free throw Abreu with eight Davies lady with eight yep Davies with three in Camaro with four [Applause] 741 left to go in the second quick time I'll call by Beverly after that make from Davies they lead by 814 fouls in that first quarter all four coming from terrain in Crowley Smith guarded by Kamara so Bryan to Montana no the jumper got it to go good touch Vermont and you know a nice soft touch then he's got for tonight he's only a sophomore Davies a nice pass underneath Abreu another corner three no good Smith coming away with the board quickly pushing it one minutes gone
022by in the second quarter Davies pokes that one away he's charging for it he'll be called for the foul fifth team foul for the Panthers first on Davies [Applause] O'Brien will exit for the fishermen in his place will be number 23 Brandon Rivera seeing his first minutes tonight you're right about ma let's not look too good he's got to sleep it off from the bag of ice on muscle rota Alex very early in that first quarter we before either team got on the board as will be a mystery and a rebound from Davies almost has it taken away good pressure from Gloucester on this end quickly pushed up Abreu in the corner step back but gets it to bear rotting now with it's 17 on the shot clock [Applause] calling for a pick tomorrow in
023the corner I think they go take him up come up me it passes it to a brave has it taken away back on defense is rotting he redirects the shot enough to force Smith to miss run bear Abreu corner three yes got the roll the under three 11 points for Abreu and we're going to get a timeout Gloucester with 550 left to go in the first half we also go off school down in Gloucester Alex at the end of the first quarter it's the Beverley girls 19 and the Gloucester girls 8 so it's 19 to 8 Beverly thank you Tim Mullen for that update yeah Beverly girls team at sits at 6 and 4 overall 6 and 1 on the league in the NEC in that Gloucester team 2 and 4 in league play three
024and six overall and we've talked about how Duncan Moreland is hurt tonight his sister again we always talk about her on the girls team about a week and a half ago she had 21 points 26 rebounds and 11 blocks triple-double for the freshman now use that your davies for four points in the first quarter i have him down for 3.0 you told me four I said I said three and then you said four that's why I changed it alright so is he only had three in the first well Joanne had one free throw okay that was the only one probably only had one basket right abreu who had eight points you said yes Kyle camara hit four okay all right we're gonna I'll swear it away hi 23:14 5:44 we're too smart for our ball
025nice ball movement by Kloster rivera drives Smith in the corner for three high arcing Jahi uh-huh shirts on the floor it's gonna be a jump ball it's gonna stay with Gloucester [Applause] Davy's guarding Smith up top all nicely oh my brain goes out of bounds you tried good tried tried the toe tap there on the sideline 521 left to go in the first half Beverley leads 23 14 Crowley back out there for the Panthers as well as during the watch out they have two fouls apiece Abreu picks his pocket they have numbers gets it to Davies oh my god wait little push-off he did away with a little push but he puts it in for two so it wasn't me I wasn't saying thing there's one on three and he manhandled a couple fishermen seven
026points for the junior tonight and turnover Billy Beverly ball that we did biggest lead of the night now up 11:25 14 for 53 to go in the first quarter Rivera taking a seat for the fisherman it looks like Moreland is doing some stretching some running over here close to us testing out that right foot but even if he is good to go can't imagine care Cooter's would risk it as Abreu with a nice turnaround jumper couldn't get it to go but the rain gets the foot back puts it in I like the way test guys taking over a little an offense bringing the ball gone he's attacking tulu we're gonna call block to file is gonna be on Gloucester's number I think it's gonna be on 13 your team Matt Smith that's gonna be his
027first in rotting will shoot two teams third I believe I can't see it on the side here come down for three team fouls I believe so also it is their third rotting shoot two [Applause] that we got 14 28 14 the outscoring glossary in this quarter ten to three and a half into the second Ronny makes one [Applause] Oliver gets a tool Brian he's guarded by the ring long - from Smith off the backboard couldn't get it to go Crowley trying to come down with it possession will stay while Panthers [Applause] Davies takes his seat good minutes from him in his first start nice job fulfill E and it's Moreland who reenters the game here with 413 left to go in the first half and speaking of Philly when the Hulya beautiful suiting ball I
028wonder that's true he's not coming over my house to watch no offense Philly rodding turns that one over O'Brien to Oliver for three couldn't get it to go Gloucester not uniting all fit behind the arc tip believe that so Brian puts that in for two I think Gloucester not shooting very well from behind the arc tonight something they did very well against Salem Oliver had a few of those tusks on he's really attacked and I like the way he's attacking it he's tripping his snot he's trying to get two out of that he's gonna call the file before he shot I think though fouls gonna go on McDowell his first Jeanne's forth download a Laurel and let's go away mafia ballin steals it goes up 4-2 just enters the game and he scores two points
029no big deal no big deal he's healthy well that's huge that's who's he's back in there used his offense and his defense and it's rebounded he's got a little everything nice all-round ballplayer only a sophomore it's Keith Jackson the lake yeah I was just about to say that only a sophomore Oh - Keith Jackson who tragically passed this past week what think of me I'm probably he's not too happy yeah it's gonna college third team [Music] shooting - I believe as McDowell asked him for an explanation he thought probably which held his ground just had his hands up only when we got shooting here Alex McDowell for two during the 16 belly at 40 know this my boy the lefty here and Kamara's gonna come in for Crowley again he's got three fouls two points
030and three boards for Crowley hey them both anything and should have eaten up there get 17 up here can't get a foul away from the ball it's gonna be on pavada his first foul you didn't make both free throws didn't make both free throws yes oh yes all the school is wrong up kids they've got 32 17 you don't know yeah an arc our screen is correct is tomorrow so some bosses will yell at home all night once Moreland Moreland a single the fouls on Alex I was on the dolly up this second one with the old-fashioned three-point play he's get five all in this quarter his terrain takes a seat and mccormick enters the game 249 left to go in the first half every leads 33:18 their biggest lead now 15 placer doesn't really
031seem to have that player that's taking over as O'Brien drives right puts it in for two soon as you say that Ryan do it right he did left off of that Ray you looking for McCormick goes to Moreland drives right nice take good take by Moreland tough that's it that we needs a deuce start taking it to the hoop woman's gonna get to lose the fallen and the foul is on for Vaz okay that's gonna be provides its first both teams were 16 files so both teams are now shooting the one-on-one Nick Fowler woman's first free throw is good he's 2 for 2 from the line he subs for the fisherman is for Vasa as well as McDowell or out and the Smith Brothers come in with starting five out there for the fishermen 1
0322 for 3 from the line 35 20 leaves back to 15 to 14 ago in the first half I'll tell you gloss is getting some good looks at this tile the balls not rotten farm and shoes against death right yeah we have to stuff we might be the death of the Panthers tonight 9 points for Marcus Smith in the corner 9 points for him there's Matt Smith Mark Smith rotting for three got it big oyster liking to better running at the huge 338 23 we're keeping that 15-point lead one way or another Monta Nino's guarded by rotting gets it out to O'Brien 13 on the shot clock ten seconds on the shot clock now lost so many good patients 5 seconds now they gotta go gonna get to miss foul throws it up towards the
033hoop it's gonna be a shot clock violation alright then we up 15 38:23 1 i loving the goal in the first quarter [Applause] Oh Bray you out there with rotting to go with Moreland Davies and bearer Bray you for three yeah Bray you playing like you did in the home opener two four threes tonight forty-nine seconds ago Ford was in bigquery team all nice pass it's gonna be Matt Smith up for to 35 seconds and Counting left in the first half each team with five different scores in this quarter bring you nice crossover drops it to Davies pump fake for three three from the corner yes Wow belly sweet with three tonight Davies nine points excuse me ten points in the first half and his first start at Beverly High some a second Oliver for
034three can't get it to go Moreland just Chuck's it not gonna be close as after that two from Matt Smith Beverley takes a 44 27 lead into halftime and Davies in his first start here at Beverly high school ten points for him Abreu playing very well he had eight points in that first quarter to go with six in the second 14 points for him in the first half with five assists in two boards Moreland of course he was hurting in that first quarter but came back doesn't were seven in the second quarter in Beverly just playing a very well-rounded game offensively and defensively Bentley shootin probably the best thing Sean all year that we've seen this year there what's that capable doing the big home court advantage so this is a good stop but Beverley

045back into this four minutes ago in the third quarter Davies will travel and Crowley's gonna enter the game with three fouls he'll take Davies out you want to be quick don't rush Smith [Applause] good deed from Crowley you'll grab the board quickly get it up to rotting all nice pass old ones in the fall you'll be shooting two I believe if I was gonna be on Oliver it is his first the team's third one's gonna be shooting a pin again well Beverley attacks they're drawn a lot of fouls which is gonna open up the old place you know Billy keep attacking get to the line to get me lost a little foul trouble they're getting closer to the penalty woman's this is the first shot 29:36 331 that go in the third quarter here although
046this isn't boat you don't see that too often Smith bringing it the other way three and a half left to go into the third drops it down it's a Turner said four points this quarter Crowley's trying to rip it away and growling turn nothing possession I think this Gloucester's know it's gonna be belly's ball ground liam turner exchanging pleasantries after that whistles i'm sure they're talking about finals coming up I think they just asking me to eat jello what they go for Christmas exactly maybe mixing some cookie recipes [Applause] to rain down all right all night pass Abreu in the corner for three he got you can't stop those got him ray you little breathing room back to 16 Abreu with 19 of the Beverly 52 Smith floater good touch shot nice touch Smith lead

048point as we get the same score now 42nd feels good Bearer and Kemara coming in for rotting and Moreland then we have 14 155 the going the third quarter Smith to Turner guarded by Crowley O'Brien for three got it to go good shot the rain was trailing on that blue Brian quiet so far tonight but he has eight cows to hang around they got it down to 11 not the beam down 17 a halftime that's a yep Visconti the Scotty had the right idea he had to Mary opened on the onion the left lower block Smith to Mountain Ino gets by Crowley makes a move good D by Kate nice take well Brian with the board and putback Brian with the last five for the fishermen 54 45 now Gloucester better to swim in ten
049magnet they've cut off eight points they've gone from 17 down get it down the nine now less than minutes to go terrain pulls up from the charity stripe back iron Beverly seems to be forcing it these past few possessions Gloucester being patient Monta Nino trying to get down well Brian he gets it to Smith up top instead so Brian nice pass to montani no head fake Turner it's got good touch can't get that one to fall is Abreu comes away with it nice bushing nice pin movement in traffic 32 seconds can you get a foul on Matt montani no I'll say these files a big because that's the fifth one on Gloucester and with 31.1 left in the third quarter Davies is going to come in for Bearer all right that we can hold for
050one hip you get 31 seconds ago we got 30 seconds on the shot clock so I would imagine they were hopeful one less like that's exactly what they're gonna do the Rupp nine they're gonna try and get up at 11 to 12 but that were sore up nine either way a lot of times people will look too long I like to tell the kids to stop going well eight seconds ago again it's ten seconds nine eight you want Steiner rain takes the pick from Crowley draws a couple defenders kamarra Davies in the corner for three no good so at the end of three Beverley takes a 5445 lead into the fourth quarter Gloucester played very well in that third they cut the deficit in half they now only trail by eight excuse me by nine
051what we got a quick minute Alex I had a mock Smith for seven points that corner yes right now what you have him down for the second quarter did you have them for just a 3.0 he had five points here tonight all right so I gave somebody else a basket did O'Brien have one basket of 2d had one give one basket O'Brien oh hey one in the second quarter he that's it right there so we're all squared away there okay okay we got an update darling Gloucester and the game is over we got a final score Beverly girls just beat the Gloucester girls down in Gloucester 60 the 45 Tim Duncan's send that along Tim thanks a lot Leon you got it right here we're letting it out to all fans out there Baldy win
052for the girls keeps him in second place a big one for the girls Belle Lee now trying to get a victory here up nine losses cutting back into it they were down 17 at halftime they get it down a nine yeah they outscored the Panthers 1810 in that third quarter carrying the momentum into this fourth Oliver baby hook off the mark Rowley gets it quickly gets it to terrain past half court he'll pull up thinking about a three he takes it Doreen Nikki long overdue big three the time up by Gloucester Gloucester took that timeout and Wow excuse me it's a Beverly timeout and Wow we have a timeout let's take a look at the road ahead for these Beverly boys the next three games all very important for the Panthers as all three of
053these games at Salem home against Somerville and Everett are the top three in the NEC South at the moment tonight so Beverly after this game against Gloucester will play another tough three opponents from that NEC south and it's very important because they need only three more wins to if they get the win tonight to clinch a playoff spot in the NEC for the Division one north well I'm dying to get a good look at this everything that they supposed to want to talk to you straight and I see the ever football coach who coaches basketball John Wessel we tie it from Everett football I just found out last week he's not gonna be the head coach it was a quick fine Catholic Memorial okay have you taken that program diamond dent laughs so long oh
054it's all semantics lot a month month and a half 57 45 lead for the Panthers to drain knock down his first three of the night believe he's 1 for 6 but that one crucial as it came at the beginning of the fourth Monte Nido to Smith in the corner he'll take a three in and out until Scottie get it down guys get numbers oh nice take that me guys it's sent by Orion look like Smith up for two no good rebound terrain montseny no ball that's gonna gloss the ball oh yeah jump off and it's gonna stay with Beverly do they not automate device they do get in the ball every time I swear - mm-hmm I'm not completely I mean and why not really swim 12-point lead for the Panthers pray you with the
055ball 19 points 5 assists 4 rebounds for him Moreland to Crowley swinging it a Bray when the corner sorry again that's nice ball movement more than will be offensive board turn that one over I don't think Davey was expecting that past the rain was a good defense when called for a late Wow it's a very late foul give me a third only the team's second on loss only is one more foul to waste we get 6 30 left to go in the game nursing the mob point Lee lost us a chance to cut it down at 10 just all of us shooting it knocks that one down he's got 4 points tonight knocks them both down as Turner comes in for Matt Smith please donít ñ 6:30 the gold well the pod burner gone hit
056Alex [Music] Beverly only scoring 10 points in that third quarter he's got to catch that ball you know it's the second time I thought the fastest comedy wasn't expecting it you gotta be expect that pass he's guarding turnaround the defensive end pretty aggressively he'll be called for a foul on the floor then comes the frustration follow yeah it looks like rotting is gonna enter the game probably for Davies actually gonna grab a Brit nope he's grabbing Davies no in timeout fishermen 603 left to go after Davies commits his third foul on the evening Beverley still with a 10-point lead but Gloucester is still there because of these minor mistakes for the Panthers like not catching the ball when you're supposed to turning the ball over in crucial moments okay while we get a quick break
057here to also Alice we're going to talk a little in our next couple games about the history of EE High basketball I know a couple years back they picked what they thought was the top five football players ever come out of Beverly and I think the name is taught five basketball I'll talk to anyone reach out but we're gonna start with the next broadcast next to Z and we're gonna break it down the first week we're gonna talk about the center's only of a big man because it all starts with B they win as far as I'm concerned and then the second time the next game after that we're gonna break it we're gonna throw some names out about the forwards all rebounders and then the third game we'll break it down to the gods
058all the ball handlers and I'm gonna throw a ton of names I'm gonna know none of them yeah no if you know if you you know something but I'm sure the that all lefty team that's gonna be a good one that is get all lucky I'll tell ya picking all lefty team Billy a bubble cause one of the best shooters I've ever seen out of every lefty alrighty with you'd be on the all left the team absolutely okay here we go 552 on countin O'Brien working on Crowley can't get it to go rebound Moreland though he's up ten Bray you back to rotting two-three zone there for the fishermen to reign a deep three just off the mark and you said it earlier this Beverly team needs to drive get to that line I want
059to settle for three point is the whole game [Music] O'Brien montani no great touch for a montseny no six points for him off balance leaning forward I'm impressed with him he's only a sophomore he's gonna be a nice little ball player he's got the height and he's got the handles too and he's got quite a shot good touch nice touch Gloucester surging they're only trailing by eight Smith to O'Brien download Oliver and easy to carry kutis might want to call timeout here again but he's gonna let him play it out because that was to e6 they're up 17 a half time all-in-one that this case one Society ever account Altos County Abreu he's got 22 tonight good no else we talked about Beverly has been very successful going to the hoop all night and also
060my stop you got a couch it I think they need to go back to the hoop she's not attacking glosses good you know five team fouls only only one more to waste and then you're shooting and the bonus after that so I would attack if a collapse then you pick out the other thing is who's got the hot hand tonight just gotta check god I know where your shooters are at all times some kids are struggling tonight with penny point this guy's got taught hand you got to look for him Toscani with 22 to go with five assists four boards believe he's got five made 3-pointers tonight six six there you go six three-pointers [Applause] 23 points clearly leads 6251 it was a big three can't get too comfortable with him though not at all
06120 times what 23 to go in the game Smith bringing the ball up for the fishermen Turner to O'Brien working on Moreland Moreland could have been called for a foul there oh it's gotta be it's a late foul know what I'll tell ya just because someone falls over doesn't make it a fact that I easily called traveling and he bailed out by calling a five whose you call the following on Moreland new shot clock for the fishermen it's only his first Montana no guarded by Abreu four minutes to go in the game looking for Oliver close jumper got it to go Oliver with six points in the fourth he's mr. hot hand for the fisherman cuts the lead down to seven 3:45 left to go in the fourth Moreland looking around takes it himself puts
062it all home 12 points for him and how crucial wasn't for the Panthers to get him back after what we thought was a bad injury for the sophomore huge get the air ball chant from the BHS fan squad ballin see I like Mullen I'm ray or three that's off because he was off dog big rebound and he's gonna drive hack Oh Crowley almost on the tip Oh rotting I was taking it away Crowley charging but it's a two for Oliver and Oliver adds to that total eight points for him in the fourth alone eight out of his 11 he's back on seven under three minutes to 52 and Counting Crowley in the corner every up seven to Abreu the rain Moreland from the charity stripe I like more with more than the mildrith on here
063and he I like it because he's attacking when he gets out ticking that nice little jump shot another three from Oliver that would have been huge for Gloucester was a heat check for him is Oliver will get called for a foul that's his second 232 left to go on the floor six on the team so Bella shooting one on one now at the excuse me Neff clouds I see one timeout Gloucester coming up and Davies is gonna come in for Crowley after this timeout while we're here we have a break let's look at the standings here at the NEC north/south see the Panthers are there sitting at third in the north just behind linguish and the ever team we'll be seeing in a few weeks in that Gloucester team sits atop the NEC south with
064a league record of four in one who meat of it I don't know not in the leak though let's take a look team that every site oh you know I'm looking okay yeah it was Brighton no yeah ever in English that that would be a nice ball game ever written in English the bulk is sitting at 7:00 and all y'all right yeah I saw the the one I'm nice to everybody knows is overall record you see those top four teams in the south of course probably playing Gloucester tonight and like we talked about two three and four over there Salem Somerville and Medford the next three games for the Panthers so they're taking their trip around the south as we reach the end of January all right that ways up seven with 232 to go
065on the game they've got the ball next file to shoot one-on-one so now a couple things now you don't know what issues I Alex and you're gonna know who your free throw shooters odd they stopped getting to a foul situation did you want your best free-throw shooters again he's I don't think expect in that pass he was just put into the game for Crowley probably for the free throw shooting in the offensive ability the throttle shy was a good shooter free from the rain almost got the n1 call and it was montseny know that bailed out terrain taking that ill-advised three-point shot he's taken about four three-pointers four feet from behind the line tonight missed every single one of them I know shooters gonna shoot out of their slump but well he's got one to
066hit that one just thought out the fourth quarter he's a big free throws terrain struggling tonight only six points for him one free throw one field goal one three-pointer seems to be a good foul for month and II know in the fisherman misses the first two well he could have made all three put him up ten a little breathing room knocks down of the third okay bellies up eight Beverly only scored nine points in this fourth quarter so far the wind to do for 5 from the line tonight - sky any gonna be call for that foul only his first fifth team foul for the Panthers so Velvets got one the way - OH - to go in the ball game losses down the ball on the side down eight Smith guarded by the rain
067I stopped in the belly who only get one time on Toninho drives by to Beverly defenders O'Brien keeps it in Smith for three no good Moreland can't hold on mom Toninho gets it puts it in he points for Monza Nino lead off block with a little press smile Davey's gonna take it himself all the way off the backboard get the roll and Moreland can't get the offensive board one and a half left Gloucester only trailing by six Beverly not making it easy on themselves to close this one out with the tough shot by Davies driving a language to guys hang roll unless you're gonna wipe the shot might want to pick that back though come on Toninho keeps it and he steps behind the line it's gonna be an over and back back foul on
068Blanco once it's being a gold belly only six they don't call him the cardiac cats for nothing and giving me heart attacks for years poked away Gloucester almost comes up with it but it's a brave who picks it up we're gonna get a whistle and a timeout called the Panthers 110 left to go in the fourth who's got a good time out all right bellies up 663 57 Gloucester outscoring the Panthers 12 to 9 in this fourth quarter I'll tell you why would you only get three fouls on him I'm surprised he's not coming back with him in the ever he's a pretty good free-throw shooter to buy let's see what happens here again now Belleville he doesn't have to take a quick shot you know use a little clock save you to shot who
069do you want shooting these free throws when it comes down to it I like I like moorland I like more along the way he's been shooting the tonight rottens when shooting what good all year from my long line Toscani one of those three and during just missed two of the three he took about a minute and a half ago those free throws would have been good right now move let's hope they doesn't come back to bite him on the button alright that was a little one for lo rotting in the corner it's Abreu drives baseline with the contact can't get it to go Gloucester Paul great defense from Turner in Turners played a quiet game tonight but very good six points for him a few blocks some key rebounds but I believe what the press
070mal trying to catch blossom he's a good movement on counter spot a little press that make Gloucester use a little clock bring the ball down there's less little minute to go now what I love 55 seconds accountant yeah so this is uh they kind of need some threesome Antonino could have been called for a push off as Smith takes a fadeaway three no good O'Brien can't get the putback he gets it block long just what you don't want to feel you want to put him on the line stop the clock and it looked like it's gonna be called on Moreland actually might be on rotting it's on Davis that's his fourth so Davies with a huge first half for the Panthers has struggled in this second half 4th quarter in particulars Crowley's going to enter
071the game for him there's a Brian this is that first free throw fortunately for the Panthers from Crowley back in [Applause] forty three point five seconds ago belly up six Brian misses both rebound rotting he's going to get fouled he's gonna shoot one on one [Applause] okay we shoot 101 here we talk about water huge 101 can you get it to go rebound Gloucester there quickly charging montani no driving baseline puts it up for two no good Crowley gets it no foul yet Abreu with it he'll hold on with 29.6 left to go and he'll be shooting 101 he's been the guy all night 22 points for the Panthers six three-point field goals that follows on oliver his third doesn't really matter at this stage though how many files they got but this 29.6 second
072goal in the ballgame bellies go up six just to make it a three-possession game which is huge got to make at least one there it is [Applause] knocks them both down or Bray you now with five points in each quarter at least so he's got 24 in the night as Oliver pulls up for three no good Crowley's gonna chase it down team he'll hold up he does he'll be fouled by O'Brien Crowley only two points tonight only five boards unofficially shoot two now to put them away actually got up a cylinder shape I'll tell you this mean he's a lot closer than the final school is gonna indicate the loan balance absolutely Glosser had it to within six with the ball the chance to cut it down to one possession but it was Toscani Abreu
073don't fall here now 66-57 three from Turner no good rebound to rein O'Brien will foul and for what reason any point with eight point seven left the only thing left to be determined is the final score so if that was gonna move on to be why 83 now overall Beverly will be three overall six into in the NEC it's worth noting that Beverly scored 44 points in the first half and since then only 23 make it 24 now after those two free throws from Doreen but it's worth noting in this second half only 24 points for the Panthers after scoring 44 in that first half it was a tale of two halves for the Panthers but they get a none they take a win here at home against the Gloucester fishermen 6857 and it was
074to Scottie Abreu leading the charge of 24 points five assists and five rebounds for the Panthers tonight well huge win for the Panthers tonight and nice that get that wouldn't before they go with a Salem on Friday night fight and see the witches Tommy Doyle over there coaching does a nice job with that team sailings been a great program for years but this is a nice win okay and this will be we'll be back with you again now next Tuesday we'll be back here for Somerville coming in Alex yep and I will be here on Friday for the girls game as they host Salem okay alright so I'm Tom Donovan along with Alex Lupo and we'll see you next Tuesday night we'll see you next Tuesday night you [Music] you
