001[Music] hello and welcome to the Henry Cabot Lodge new house [Music] ages set for him [Music] Oh box three in one in Nancy's Beverly's with a 4-0 record four and one in their own conference girls have enjoyed success this year thanks in large part to freshman ELISA Moreland haven't seen the girls in person yet this year but from what I'm told she's the talk of the town she's averaging a double-double this year over 14 points over 11 boards and she's doing just as good if not better than her brother Duncan who's a sophomore starter the boys team I'm gonna look at the conference standings when it comes to the NEC North and South Sea their Beverly sits at third behind Revere and win classful Beverly just ahead of this Lin English team Malden behind them
002then Everett Marblehead in Peabody one in four overall this year but that's not something everybody in the area is used to go over to the South danvers at five and one leads the NEC South their lone loss came to the hands of this Beverly girls demon it was the night that the Danvers High School decided to raise their NEC soccer championship banner and I think the girls took too kindly to that and they went into their own house and took care of business after Danvers is Saugus Swampscott Gloucester then Somerville Winthrop Medford and Salem all the way down there won an eighth overall on five and League not doing too well this year are these Salem witches were about two minutes and 20 seconds away from the opening tip-off but from what I'm told tonight
003is teacher appreciation night here at Beverly High School where Ralston each player selects teacher that has impacted their lives and had a huge part in their success on and off the court in the classrooms and they're gonna recognize their favorite teachers here tonight before the game ladies and gentlemen welcome to the and [Music] [Applause] welcome [Applause] I haven't participated in one of these nights myself a teacher appreciation night here although is a graduate of Beverly High School in 2012 I can confidently say my favorite teacher was Miss Padovani hope she's out there watching only had her for gym class my senior year but she was great [Applause] [Music] and mr. Cochran [Applause] and finally [Applause] click look at the starting lineups for each side and get the limitless side first you see on your screen
004we have guards guiding very Menon easy full its rapidly and Abreu Beverly side it's gonna be what you usually see got Anderson morlin Beaudry Gaucho and Bakey [Applause] [Music] Anderson only a sophomore recent years Beverly has seen a lot of young talent develop early and get a starting role see Mellinger get that starting role as a freshman and Lucas got that starting role as a freshman this bereted team is young and ready to take the next step within the coming years we're gonna go to the floor for the national anthem in the presentation of the colors presented by the Beverly ROTC [Music] [Applause] we're about to get underway here at Beverly high school bear with us for the time being Kim will be on a wide shot hopefully for not too long these two teams
005have two common opponents it is Swampscott as well as Winthrop Beverly wallet Winthrop to start the year and also took care of Swampscott pretty easily when English on the other hand lost to Swampscott but also beat Winthrop pretty easily as well so Beverly to know against common opponents Lin English one in one tip is won by Moreland quickly pushed up anderson has it now Lauren calling forward in the post she gets it out to Gaucho Beaudry driving she'll take a layup with contact no good she's gonna get her own board try to call timeout but when English is gonna take it away and they will fall out of bounds of that possession will change again so good hustle play by Beaudry to get that rebound off the Miss poetry to the corner it's Anderson for
006three yes number three with the first three points of the game for the Panthers that sophomore Hayley Anderson Beaudry covering up top down low we're gonna get a follow on the floor I believe it's on gaucho her first in the team's first Bulldogs swimming in it around good move off balance shot couldn't get it to go bold early with the rebound she's gonna push another three another mate this time from baekje Panthers quickly out to a six-o lead thanks to two threes from Anderson and bacon long two off the mark rebound Moreland [Applause] not really looking to take charge of this game early this Gaucho has it up top they get it down low to Moreland Anderson thinking about shooting passes it you're shooting passes a shot goes up for two can't get it to
007go rebound man and Terry looking to go down low so Bray who kicks it out long two off the mark again another rebound Bovary Beaudry rd with three boards in the first two minutes of the game Moreland gets around a defender puts it in for two [Applause] great move by the freshman a toe lead for the Panthers Bulldogs looking to go somewhere with it long free taken by Perry off the mark Beaudry already pushing baekje thinking about another three she slows it down [Applause] rolling on the high post nice looked Anderson who couldn't control it but she keeps it in bounce Moreland going to work on a brave chill get fouled on the floor Braves first Bulldogs first team foul Beaudry two in Bound it they get it to Moreland quickly out to Gaucho working
008on Perry download a Moreland with the contact she'll shoot to second foul on Abreu she's gonna have probably have to sit down and she will head coach Mackenzie Charles goes to his bench morals first free throw off the mark Ruiz is going to enter for brave second free throw from rolling off the mark as well so over to at the line was the freshman 521 left to go in the first quarter McKenzie Charles gonna take a timeout and rightfully so Beverly came out quick first we had a three from the sophomore Anderson followed up by another three from baekje and Moreland put a nice move down low those are the eight points for the Panthers so far Moreland also adds two boards and an assistant Beaudry with three boards and one assist as well find
009us online at youtube.com slash Bev cam TV you could be watching this at home right now or you could open up the laptop and watch it there as well two camera angles won't one camera angle but two screens robots coming off a very low-scoring win at Marblehead they won that 33 to 21 highest output for Bulldogs this year they scored 49 that was at Winthrop Beverly's highest total was at Danvers remember undefeated Danvers at the time barely drop to 62 Bulldogs looking to get on the board 5:16 left to go in the first quarter of play corner three can they get it no breeze going for the board she can't handle it either can Moreland it's gonna go out of bounds and leave last touched by the Panthers it's gonna stay with Lynn English inbounding
010it is parry looking for guy T gets it to her good defense by Beaudry off-balance shot no good it's actually an air ball Ruiz keeps it in Beaudry gets it but has it slapped away possession arrow with the Panthers [Applause] it is a press-on right now from the Bulldogs now in high school girls basketball there's no time limit to get across half court so they have all the time they want as Mullen has all the time she needs to put it in for two it's just coming from Anderson on that one then you get a foul on the floor believe it's gonna go on Beaudry she was guarding guy T another sub for the Bulldogs hairy out in her place will be can Manny Dorsett a freshman are we still leading ten nothing first points
011of the game score by the Bulldogs gonna come from Nanna [Applause] the Anderson makes the girl miss gosh is there another three from baekje another make six points for baekje Beverly off to a 13-2 lead just over four left to play in the first nice hesitation step into for guiding Beaudry pushing it that she quickly beats the press she has Moreland gets it to her kicks it out to baekje he checked for three no good it's gonna stay with the Panthers last touched by the Bulldogs excuse me is gonna go to the Bulldogs kaity guarded by Beaudry she's gonna go left think about a shop how software sent away by Moreland three four men and off the mark rebound gosh moon trying to get it through but it's deflected by the freshmen on win English
012we just got an update from the boys game at Lin English thank you to Tom Donovan end of the first quarter Beverly leading 1714 we turn over here the Panthers guide he's gonna try to take it all the way herself guarded by baekje with contact no foul called rebound Moreland she's already pushing gets it off to Anderson nice stop and a nice shot but no good it's coming the other way now [Applause] linguist slowing it down man up top he's gonna drive right children called for a travel she wasn't the freshman gonna take a shot no good Moreland her fourth board turned over just past half court come the other way now guy T gonna slow it down man in for three off the mark another rebound for bogey from the other way she quickly
013gets it all the way up the court locked away by manon but paul drewes charging behind her trying to come up with the steal she can't [Applause] inbound almost stolen by baekje Ruiz's on the ground it's gonna be a jump ball gonna be Beverly's ball excuse me it's gonna go with lineage first substitution for the Panthers tonight he's gonna come out she has six points nice little ovation for her in her place will be the 15 Kylee McCarthy a freshman to freshman on the floor for the Panthers and we're gonna get it blocking foul on Beverly second foul on Gaucho first free throw taken by man and is good we've learn English with three of their five points off the mark on the second Moreland's gonna chase it down [Music] bouldery driving right has it
014poked away Anderson's there dodge McCarthy Anderson in the corner trying to get it down to Moreland Scotch now trying to get it down to Moreland again - hi goes the other way 142 left to go in the first Beverly leading 13 5 Bulldogs have done a good job in the past few minutes neutralizing this Beverly offense as that offensive boards from Manon leads to a putback and two points for the Bulldogs man in five and three in the first quarter for Lynn English cuts his dirty lead down to six Mullins just going to take it herself they gave her space she's gonna miss that offensive board taken by God but it's quickly stolen one on three guide he's gonna take it herself she'll be fouled Beaudry already has one this might be - and it's
015not gonna be on McCarthy that's her first first we throw from guy D is good couple subs for the Panthers Anderson and Gaucho out baekje back in along with Delaney spray second free throw from guy D is also good so when English is closing this gap as Perry will reenter for guy D on the Bulldogs sign Beaudry past half court [Applause] rollin going to work gets away with a hook there and she misses that one trying to do it all herself offensive board trying to go up maybe called for a foul there it's gonna be a jump ball will stay with the Panthers Moreland definitely trying to do things all herself they're 4 points 6 boards at an assists for the freshman it's calling for it right now nobody honor puts it up easy to
016off the mark though offensive board putback she'll be fouled Moreland is something to be reckoned with here in the NEC only a freshman definitely seems to have that killer instinct her and her brothers share that foul is going to go on Perry that's her first Moreland perfectly from the line tonight [Music] that one from Moreland is good once before at the line she's now Beverly Leeds 14 to nine only one sled eight excuse me ten nothing and since then fennel in English on a nine four run man and driving right sent away by Moreland with two hands emphatic block gold regarded by guy T two poked away taken by Perry and poll jury's gonna get called for a foul old Beaudry walks right over to the ref almost to Artie it's gonna be her second
017Anderson's gonna check back in and replace her [Music] [Applause] let me use the clock here ten seconds left guy tees charging guarded by McCarthy into the lane McCarthy gets a hand on a great play by the freshman McCarthy doesn't get fooled by the fancy footwork and just grabs the ball English still has possession 4.2 on the clock mid-range Jay sent away by Anderson he might get another shot but they don't put a great job by Beverly to stand pat Anderson with that block at the end of the first quarter and Sprague grabbing the board there Beverly leading 14 nine after one they came out hot they were leading 10 nothing Moreland has five points Anderson with three Becky with six Beverly three total three-point field goals made and Beverly was up stuff to a great
018start like I said up 10 nothing then it was a 9 to 2 run Berlin English and then they added two more points make it air ended at a 9 to 4 run at the end of that first quarter after that timeout called by head coach McKenzie Charles that neutralized the Beverly offense in frustrated Moreland a bit but didn't frustrate her too much because first quarter play she's got 5 points and 7 boards Beverly sending out the lineup with two freshmen Moreland and McCarthy also gonna send out Anderson as well Bragg and bacon [Applause] [Music] five team fouls for the Panthers in that first quarter three for the Bulldogs McCarthy gets it to Anderson Moreland calling for it started by Ruiz Bakey fakes the three great space along two off the mark to be chased
019down given right to Moreland who goes up for a shot she'll be fouled 1 for 4 at the line tonight is Moreland she'll try to try to improve that struggles from the line continue Paul is gonna be on Ruiz on the Glenn English side it's her first team's fourth and Moreland gets that one to go well on her way to a double-double already 6 and 7 [Music] Guiding taking a pic from man and she's not even gonna use it she's gonna go through get it taken away by baekje she'll slow it down get it to Anderson she has some space she slows up quickly gets it to baekje looking for McCarthy and she's there Sprague now takes a pic from warlin McCarthy driving drops it off to Sprague thinking about a shot she'll be looked
020like she was punched in the face by a guy - I know it's not what it was but from this angle in the first foul on guy T McCarthy Anderson trying to get it down low to Moreland the game plan she's quickly double-teamed as she seems to be throughout this game great move by guy T to go behind McCarthy but she can't finish the bunny rebound Bakey quickly coming the other way Anderson for three no good offensive board Moreland out to Bakey the three off the mark Moreland almost going away with another offensive board days [Applause] Manon drops it off guiding thinking about a freak kicks it out the freshmen IARC on the shot no good Moreland chasing it down she can't get it man and does she's got four boards [Applause] new shot clock
021for the Bulldogs guy T drops it off Moreland bites on the pump fake from three little floater no good then we grabbed violent English sent away by Moreland that's gonna be her third block of the evening we're gonna get a foul on Beverly Lynn English will shoot two gonna be Sprague's first first free throw no good couple subs for the Bulldogs echeverria enters second free throw also off the mark from rally and other board for Moreland 9 already not even halfway through the second quarter Anderson open free can't knock it down getting a lot of open looks Beaudry about to check back in for the Panthers two fouls for her to coach Stan shal its own there to be cautious but not too conscious you want to play timid out there on defense [Music] Bakey
022playing good de on the edge Anderson trying to redirect that shot she can't that's the 10th hoard already for Moreland and I'm gonna need a new score book can't fit anymore already got 10 5:16 left to go on the second Beverly leads 15 9 pass poked away McCarthy for three can't get it to go Moreland tips it over to Anderson who Corral's it he gets a fresh shot clock [Music] [Applause] Anderson drives on echeverria fouled on the floor by Echevarria that's her 416 foul on the Bulldog in Beaudry will enter now for Sprague Sprague had two boards and a block there in her minutes one more follow for each and the other team maybe in the one and one Anderson for three yes off the inbound play Anderson knocks it down she has six nighty
023drives by Moreland redirects the shot there another block for her and another rebound playing like a woman possessed 18 9 Beverly lead was turned over by the Panthers quickly into the hands of guy T she's got wheels stopped the shot no good she gets her own board and redirected again by Mary five blocks she's doing it all as head coach says Stan shil will call the timeout as his team leads 89 for 17 left to go in the first half and ELISA Moreland has been as advertised six points 10 boards five blocks in one assist in less than 12 minutes of play I don't know how you can impact the game more than that as a freshman no less Anderson had six points off of two threes Bakey with six points also off of two
024threes coach Stan shalls' third season coaching the Beverly girls for this yet a brief stint coaching the boys here at Beverly only five players in tonight's game have scored the three for Beverly is Marlon Anderson and Bakey and the two fluent English our men and guide Gaddy with four Mannion with five although not many girls on the Beverley side have scored their presence is felt Beaudry's presents very much felt for boards all in that first quarter playing great defense Sprague had a block dodge also with some key defensive plays and also the freshman McCarthy coming up with a key stop the end of that first quarter and be a travel [Music] we've reached the 4-minute mark in the second quarter Anderson thinking about a free gets it download a Beaudry trying to kick it out
025she's getting double-teamed last pass deflected by guy T it'll stay on this end 18 on the shot clock for the Panthers McCarthy back to Becky another three no good Moreland kicks it out like she's Tyson Chandler right into the hands of boldly who misses the attempt died he pulls it back Mandan thinking about a three back to guy T thing I noticed log ID she's not settling for those shots she likes to get to the rim use her speed only four points but she's definitely got handles and a good finish and as I say that she chops up a three-inch emails waiting for her time to shine seven points for guy T cuts this Beverley lead down to six 1812 now [Applause] McCarthy looking to get it to Moreland can be foul called on guy
026T and Moreland will be at the line to shoot one and one that's the second on guy T 1 2 for 6 at the line tonight and Perry will enter the game for a guy T after she gets her second foul struggles continue for Moreland open three from the freshman off the mark release trying to corral what she does man and kicks it out to Perry coach wanted her to take that shot or take the lane she had an open one gonna get a kick on the Panthers substitution as McCarthy comes out and got enters pitches area back to Perry man and calling for it at the high post freshmen mid-range J off the mark Morgan rebound number 12 Anderson to Beaudry in the corner Moreland going in at will with two bodies honored uses
027that frame drops his shoulder creates the space for two to say I've been commentating basketball here at Beverly for about five six years I have not seen a more dominating player on the boys or girls side as I have ELISA Moreland where she tracks that one down here's the hoping Beverly can keep her here nice move can't get to finish but chic is all over the place pushing people over she'll get called for that foul not a dirty play just being aggressive always wanting that ball first foul on Marlins gonna be one and one for the Bulldogs now echeverria first of a one and one no good dodge coming away with the board boldly pushing it up he's got a lane she gets tripped up there gets the ball out somehow to baekje 4-3 who
028can't get it to go but Moreland almost trashed down the loose ball minute 30 left to go in the first half Beverly leads by 8 both teams in the bonus at Chavarria for three off the mark baekje good box-out ends up on the floor it's gonna be a battle for the ball gonna stay with the Bulldogs [Applause] and the two fouls guy to Erie enters for the last minute or so of the first half clearly they need her spark in that speed on the offensive side immediately makes the difference when she's on the court freshman trying to get by baekje good job by her staying pat tidy being given a shot she's gonna drive left pull up no good tracked down by manon who has an open shot but she gets it off the guy
029th of a rien L drops it back to the freshman pump fake could've been called for a travel that wasn't Manon up for - sent away by Anderson that's her second block of the night this Beverly clean eight blocks in the first half Beaudry now with 38 left on the clock Anderson for three no good guide he grabs it 25 on the clock 20 on the shot clock that's a faria a three can't get it to go we're gonna get a foul levy push on Ruiz it's her second ball and shoot in the 1 and 1 2 for 7 at the line tonight one thing I remember coach Tom Donovan saying after watching her in that game against I believe Winthrop just needs to work on her free-throw shooting got good form good touch just
030a matter of getting the reps up she misses another one shot clock turned off 15 seconds in the first half 2012 Beverly lead moorland lunges forward can be called for a foul her second they don't see that often lunging forward with two hands trying to go for that block she's done that a few times tonight seems to work Harry knocks it down [Applause] she's got an update from the boys game Beverly leads Lynne English at the half 39 22 second free throw off the mark Gaucho with the board six seconds on the clock poetry all the way down she'll be fouled she'll shoot two it's one way to do it three point nine on the clock foul was on Dorsey Rowland's gonna get a breather here [Applause] Sprague enters Beaudry one for two at the
031line first points for Beaudry die t last second shot can she get it to go off the mark Beverley takes a 21-13 lead into the locker room after one half Beverly with four scores Beaudry with that free throw was her first points Becky she has six off of two threes Anderson also with six off of two threes she adds a board and an assist got no points but she's got three boards Sprague no points but she has two and the story of the first quarter first half and the first part of this season is freshman Alyssa Moreland eight points for her to go along with one assist 13 rebounds in five blocks in the first quarter I can't even do that in 2k with the sliders all the way up I don't know how she's

035High School media program so the students can have the resources they need to make dreams happen you [Music] [Applause] [Music] back at the enemy cabin watch she knows matchup between hold on 21:13 into the second half and because all Alyssa Moorman all the time they are in that first half she had eight points to go with 13 boards five blocks and one assist for good measure although she was too frayed at the line had a very good first half for the Panthers and while we're here and have some time we're going to show you what you've missed over this long break between games here on Bev cam for the Beverly girls basketball team had four games first one was a tournament game against reading they lost that 3738 they also lost the second round of
036that tournament 3644 against Bishop Fenwick now good thing those two losses do not count against the conference record to the Panthers which is four and one then they went to Danvers took a win 62-54 best game for the Panthers this season the highest point total they went into an undefeated NEC South foe in the Danvers falcons and took that one right from underneath them four days later they went to learn classical lost that one forty nine thirty two tough loss 17 points they couldn't really get anything going offensive William there's only so much that this team can do when everybody doesn't work together now that being said Beverly coming in licking their wounds and they're taking it out on this Lin English team they started it out in the first half on a 1000 run
037slowed down a little bit but in that second quarter picked up a little bit for the Panthers when these three points were scored excuse me four points were scored by no excuse me three points were scored in that second quarter violent English and on the Beverly side only 11 in that second quarter for both teams [Applause] now to those games we just showed you we're gonna have ramifications later on most recently it's gonna be on Monday when classical will come here it's gonna be the only home and home for the Panthers this season that's on Martin Luther King Day that game will be at 3:00 and then they'll also see Bishop Fenwick later in the year it's gonna be on February 18th so a couple chances at redemption for the Panthers as we start this
038second half Beaudry trying to go down low to Moreland kicks it out to Anderson back to Moreland she's catching the double-team Anderson's gonna put it up for two she got it good shot from Anderson eight points for her see the Panthers adjusting when the snows are gonna try to get it down to the big girl and when they do they're gonna double-team gonna leave people open on the wings and Moreland found Anderson there for an easy two shot from Perry that's good from three [Applause] both teams trading early baskets in the first 40 seconds Anderson has that one taken away and Beaudry pokes it away from Perry it's gonna watch that one say a lot of bounds good job from Boger to chase it down and poke it away good crossover floater good that's guiding
039English coming out with purpose 23 18 Beverly still leading Moreland the double team drops it off to bake he puts it up for two [Applause] mullein understands what living which is trying to do the first two buckets for the Panthers this quarter coming off of Moreland assists when she's gotten double-teamed not trying to do too much in this third quarter she's taking what the defense is giving her and if she they give her an open lane like that she's gonna drop a spin move and drop tote already a double-double for Alyssa Moreland ten points 14 boards five blocks sheesh the wards LeBron James sheesh locked by Moreland that's six last touched by the Bulldogs it's going the other way we could be looking at a triple-double as my producer - whispering into my into my
040ear ever so softly she gets a triple-double with blocks I'll custom make a Jersey and wear it every Friday night free from Andersen no good offensive board Moreland putback can't get it to go but she gets another board of course then she'll shoot two after that foul barely leading 27:18 Moreland shooting to 2 for 8 from the line in that first half it's gonna miss that one and gonna get a technical maybe from one English head coach if he doesn't be careful waving his arms up and down complaining about that foul call Moreland can't knock those down to 410 at the line [Applause] [Music] [Applause] sky D calling for a pic she gets one drops attack Manon good move floater off the mark she'll get her own board she'll be fouled believe it's gonna be
041on Moreland don't agree with that I don't did not see a foul there [Applause] it's Moreland's third Manon can we call for the offensive foul what's gonna be on Anderson I don't agree with that I don't want to be a Tommy Heinsohn but two bad calls in a row from the Zebras I might pull a Bobby Knight from a chair from up here [Applause] good defense by gaucho as Anderson comes away with the board Anderson drops it down two points that's Lea white here the freshman boy is this team poised for success now and in the future multiple freshmen from the Panthers contributing tonight white hair most recently we have Moreland B and all the dirty work down low as Beaudry is going to be called for a carry [Applause] 29:24 44 left to go
042on the third quarter English still hanging around trying to do what they can with Moreland on the bench after collecting her third foul [Applause] post move off the mark white hair grabs the board she'll be fouled as I was saying three freshmen flee tonight for the Panthers of course Moreland she's in white hair and he saw McCarthy in as well the key defensive stop at the end of the first quarter the Anderson drops it off to white hair kicks it out poultry in traffic gets it to go ball three three points now on the night white hair since entering the game of moments ago two points aboard and an assist already time out Lynn English Beverly 31 20 lead with 401 left to go in the third quarter now he said that halftime score for
043the boys was 39 22 in favor of the Panthers I read that wrong that's why I have glasses they must have nothing on Flynn English was leading it to half 39:22 for the boys and follow us on twitter at Bev underscore cam follow me on Twitter two of you one at a salute o AAS al you see Co usually do this thing where we'd asked viewers to ask me questions but the only questions I got were from then athletic director James coughs he asked me what my favorite color was and case you're wondering it's yellow good move by guy T gets by a few defenders drops it in for two nighty with six points this quarter he's got 13 tonight leads all scorers Anderson gets around a defender long two off the back iron [Applause]
044JT trying to continue this magic got six in the quarter alone crossover pull up Jay no good rebound white hair going the other way now Beaudry gonna try to push it she has baekje thinking about a three this is it down the got she has white hair open he puts it on the floor Woo's is it gonna be called for a foul that I don't agree with again I'm not usually a homer folks but something about the way these refs are calling these fouls I just don't like I don't know [Music] last few files on Beverly too quick to the whistle and my opponent Bulldogs moving around 14 in the shot clock Perry trying to get down low back out to Perry thought about the shot get in double-team she'll step out of bounds ball
045going the other way [Applause] [Music] poked away by guy T she can't keep it in bounds very close Bulldogs are gonna keep pressing watch is gonna inbound it she has white hair gets it to Anderson baking out good job by the Panthers beating the Press Beaudry with some space she'll pull up floater no good Bulldogs will watch it sail out of bounds and they'll take possession [Music] [Applause] rolling off the bench she's gonna check in momentarily kicks it back out to Perry she can't keep it in balance she does keep it in balance Wow guy T to the freshmen just off the mark white hair being pushed up Anderson with it now she's going to drive baseline floater two minutes left in this third [Applause] mid-range day from guy T she gets it to go
046eight points for her in the third quarter the senior keeping the Bulldogs in it single-handedly cuts the lead down to seven Bulgaria's spin over to Anderson in the corner looking to get down low to white hair eventually it's got working on the block no good Perry coming the other way minute and a half left to go Bulldogs with some momentum guy T will it be a charge it's going to be a block in again I don't agree seems like every calls going against the Panthers right now is nothing more Beaudry could do there that's her third foul whereas we throw from guy D off the mark we're going to have a couple freshmen enter for baekje in god shits Moreland and McCarthy so three freshmen sophomore and a junior out there for the Panthers this
047is the future of Beverly High girls basketball you're watching right now has McCarthy comes away with that board bogey nice hesitation step she's fouled by guiding she'll shoot two Gaddy now with three fouls she has to be careful Beverly really struggling at the line tonight [Music] that one's good from Beaudry she's 2 for 4 at the line for points tonight for boards and 2 assists to go with it [Applause] Longtooth from Perry Morlan with the board pulls it up gets it to Beaudry [Applause] Anderson down low to Moreland tries to use that spin and they're saying it goes off Moreland didn't quite see even if she didn't kick it which I don't think she did it all which the ref indicated I do believe she touched it last with her arm reaching for it [Applause]
04832:24 Harry open freak she takes it and it knock it down McCarthy another board she's going to start to charge and that's a good call that's a travel poetry calming her down [Applause] told you when their captain's on this team to go along with Sprague in Gaucho [Applause] 18 seconds on the clock 15 on the shot clock Bulldogs might try to hold but they did last time waiting for about 10 seconds and made a charge is what they're doing again Perry echeverria throws it up she gets fouled don't know how that's not a carry and now coach Stan shil not liking these refs [Music] [Applause] if only we had replay [Music] echeverria at the line this is the first [Applause] second free-throw is good 2.9 Panthers are gonna try to get a shot off Beaudry
049doesn't even make it to the hoop so at the end of three Beverly least 30 to 25 in that third quarter for Panthers scored Moreland only had two she sat for most of it with foul trouble Beaudry had three of her own one field goal in one free throw anderson petomane rage jumper and Bakey also had two points of her own now Lin English eight points coming from guide III coming from Perry one from that free throw from echeverria so when English actually won that third quarter by a score of 12 to 9 cutting this Beverly down to 7 in the process journalist Moreland filling that stat sheet 10 points 17 boards 6 blocks 3 assists the end of 3 we have a update from the boys named Atlin English when English still leading 57:40
050over the boys [Applause] Beverly sends out Morland GOC Anderson McCarthy and Beaudry eight minutes to play Beverly has seven points to work with JT drives off the mark last touched by McCarthy [Applause] Dorsey gets it to Mannin off the mark offensive board we get a foul on the floor again on McCarthy it's gonna be her third one Moreland English will be shooting 1 & 1 Dorsey wide open on the inbound play she takes the three off the bank she gets it with her first points coming in a big spot cuts this Beverly lead down to four drivings Anderson how do you not call a foul there as the fan in me screams McCarthy for three off the mark coming the other way now we're gonna get a technical on Stan shal and I don't like
051that I do not like that call it on it's refs like these that want to make this show about them clearly a foul on Anderson she got mugged how are you not gonna call that blatant foul tell ya I might talk to the refs after that's probably not in the coward first we throw from guy T off the mark the other referee over talking to Stan shal we be playing a little good Ref bad ref 90 second free throws good in a call like that in a crucial point in this game where Lenny which has the momentum now when you just add that Beverly leading 32 29 but this lead is dwindling as all the momentum seems to be on the Bulldog side and we're gonna get a foul on the Bulldogs maybe a gimme
052call but I'll take it it's gonna go on a break as her third [Applause] Anderson [Applause] bulled rial bulldogs pressing the defense from Dorsey's Moreland with it pauses for a second gets it to Beaudry McCarthy takes a pick from gosh she drives right all the way to the hoop can't get it to go swatted away it'll stay with the Panthers laughs touched by Dorsett [Applause] Beaudry to in bound it trying to get it to Moreland they get a torque dominating forces Moreland but she can't get that to go 645 left to go on the fourth hairy guy T to one possession game English has not had a lead all night turnaround J off the mark rebound Moreland 19 for her she'll have 20 well before the Knights done McCarthy now games getting tight Moreland can't
053hold on to it but she grabs it it's gonna be a jump ball it's gonna stay with the Panthers someone who couldn't handle it she jumps on it keeps the possession as McCarthy exits and Bakey will enter baekje eight points tonight Anderson from the corner gonna get a whistle foul she'll shoot three few nights ago we saw - Scotty Abreu make a three in that same quarter when he got fouled for a four-point play but Anderson will settle for three free throws and guy tees fourth foul when won't roll Aptus said as Anderson knocks down the first of three he's got nine tonight knocks it down double figures for Anderson the guy T will have to sit here by farlan English his best player leading scorer of the whole night she's got 16 in the
054Anderson knocked down all three clutch free throws from the sophomore Beverly 35 English 29 608 left to play in the fourth Perry thinking about a three work it down stolen by Moreland that's her first deal tonight let's see what she does with it coast to coast action for two doing everything stat sheet filler 37:29 Panther lead 551 to go in the fourth and as momentum shifted to the Bulldogs Beverly gains momentum right back after watching this game I believe I've said it many times but I'm just gonna keep saying it I've never seen any more dominating figure in Beverly basketball whether it's boys or girls and this freshman was someone completely filling the stat sheet 12 points 19 boards 6 blocks 3 assists in a steal we see her do it for the girls in
055her brother only a sophomore Duncan more lip does it nightly for the boys as well we have to start naming courts after these two [Applause] [Music] English coming out of the timeout guy T back in will likely see her in on offense as much as possible but as she takes that three wouldn't be surprised if Mackenzie Charles elects to take her out when the Bulldogs are on defense as much as possible sent away by Moreland again seven blocks give me some more it's a block party here don't bring kool-aid into a grown girls party three blocks away from a triple double is Moreland gets another one there that's eight and nine not two blocks in one possession and gets her own board are you kidding me 12 points twenty boards nine blocks eat and up
056top looking for baekje she gets it to Gaucho baekje down low is poked away they're almost taken by Perry we're gonna get a possession arrow it's gonna go to the Bulldogs 501 in the 437 29 Beverly lead both teams in the bonus guy T good handles can't get past Beaudry the IT drives left on Moreland there's the tenth block there's the triple-double sheesh Robert you want a highlight reel to go on Twitter and on Facebook tomorrow I have one word sheesh that's all you have to say as Beaudry's they're in the backcourt she's going to try to put it away for two she can't put moorlands there to grab the board she'll be fouled on the floor [Applause] Morland will shoot one and one notch the first down an oxen bolt down first time we've
057seen that tonight from warlin flow through 12 but she's hitting him when they count in the fourth quarter Beverly up 39:29 426 left to go in the fourth another block another one for good measure that's 11 for her gets the own rebound she's going to try to take it close to coast in there ain't nobody stopping number 20 for the Beverly Panthers timeout Lin English 41:29 lead for the Panthers in an historic game from freshman Alyssa Moreland triple-double 16 points 22 boards 11 blocks and three assists and a steal just to sprinkle some other stuff in oh and she's a freshman English one on the good run at the end of that third in the very beginning of the fourth momentum seeing the shift they were within three it was thirty two twenty nine at
058one point Beverly lead but Beverly since going on an I know run in almost taken away all hopes rule in English night II takes the pic mid-range J no good another rebound Moreland why not not like you don't have twenty two already let's get 23 Beaudry just going to take it herself sees an open lane Moreland there for the putback and 118 24 11 blocks like I said if I was playing to K and adjust with my sliders all the way up I couldn't do it better knock that down 4329 foul went on Ruiz that's her fourth [Applause] [Music] nighty drives by no good boater he gets the board tawdry finds baekje no good thought trying to get in there for the rebound she wins the possession for the Panthers heads up play by the
059senior captain knowing this one's not over voting will inbound three from baekje off the mark Moreland another rebound another foul rollin 19 points trying to get 20 20 game for her in that first free throw does it 20 points 25 boards 11 blocks I know I've said it 8,000 times I'm gonna keep saying that that is one impressive stat line baekje offensive board possession alive we're gonna get a foul [Applause] the fifth foul one guy t-shi fouls out she had a great game by far the best player on the winning glitch side finishes with 16 points Beverley shooting to there in the extra bonus the free-throws missed from baekje three that's a Veria trying to make it interesting she doesn't believe that might have grazed the Morlan at the end it didn't that she was
060boxing out on the play three minutes five seconds left to go in the fourth Beverly up 45:29 bogan [Music] thank you we're gonna get a foul on Ruiz can't blame or you got to do whatever you can to keep boiling out of that paint the way she's been eating tonight full course meal and another foul out for Lin English as Abreu sits down with her v Moreland shoots too much better through throw shooting in the second half especially in this fourth quarter five made free throws for her the fourth quarter alone [Applause] the English trying to give Beverly a little run for their money towards a notice this forth but this games all but over Beverly already looking for Lin classical on Monday they'll host them here the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse it's gonna be
061at 3 p.m. as we get a 3 from the corner off the mark another board for Moreland when English Internet's Jenna game is gonna be at Medford on the 15th as Beaudry puts it in for two there we now after this win is gonna have a little more breathing room in the NEC North overall records gonna go up to five and three no foul they're gonna let them play it out shot off the mark rebound Andersen overall records you know privative improve to five in three conference record to five and one as Stan shil calls a timeout most likely to get some subs in the english's record will fall to three and four three and two in league play Stan Joel's gonna send out Sprague McCarthy Bakey white hair and Barker 4829 149 left to
062go in English coming out of the timeout Bulldogs with two girls sent to the bench from fouling out as baekje turns that one over two foul outs for a guy T as well as Ruiz excuse me a braid berry driving through offensive board and fouled dorsey another foul on McCarthy and Karthi that's her fourth foul tonight but three of those have been phantom fouls Dorsey knocks it down she has four points all coming in this quarter who baekje comes out in her place will be Viana kocham sophomore free throw is good from Dorsett English not letting up on this press McCarthy stops gets it to spray quickly looking for Cotchin who puts it up sent away $0.50 of play there from rappley another sub McCarthy out will be number five freshman Cydney Anderson Barker looking
063to white hair Sprague with it now back to Barker 112 on the clock white hair couldn't handle it it's going the other way Dorsey freshman played a lot of minutes tonight for the Bulldogs got a final score update from the boys when English takes it 73 54 for the boys fall twin English but the girls are going to get the W as Barker misses that three all that's left to decide is the final school right now it's 48 31 40 seconds left to go in the fourth another three from the freshman Dorsey and another make like the Bulldogs have a bright future in Dorsey as well she's got eight points in this fourth quarter play good defense tonight as well but she kept Beaudry in check as much as she could Sprague looking down low
064shot clock turned off she's gonna take a jumper can't get it to go Koch in with the board gonna let it go out of bounds off of her Bulldogs ball 7.6 left to go four seconds on the clock wonder if they'll take a shot the freshman gonna pass it to the corner they don't get one off Beverly takes the win sends Lynn English home packing by a score of 48 to 34 and you can't say enough about the way the freshman Alyssa Moreland played tonight a triple-double for the freshman 21 points 26 rebounds 11 blocks three assists in one steal two of those blocks came in one play late in that fourth quarter and she was even out for a five-minute stretch in that third quarter with foul trouble so if you're out with foul
065trouble you still end up with 21 26 11 3 and 1 sheesh it's all I have to say I'm gonna keep saying it great game from Moreland great game from Beaudry's while she had six points five boards and two assists on the night Anderson shot the ball very well 11 points for her to go along with three rebounds a couple assists to Bakey had those two threes in the first quarter she slowed down the rest of the night she finished with 8 with a couple boards and the freshman white hair really impressed me as well 2 points for her three boards and an assist off the bench she seemed to be not fazed just as any of these freshmen on this team are all the freshmen that played key minutes you had of course Moreland
066you had white hair as well McCarthy the play she had in that game as a freshman not letting the spotlight really shake them really impressed me I'm very excited for this team going forward their core is very young and they have the leadership with Sprague and with Gaucho and with a captain Beaudry who's just a junior as well another year from her this team's looking to do some stuff in the future and gonna be very happy to watch this team progress so that does it for all of us at channel 22 the Bev cam Sports Network I'm Alex a Luco format pooja on camera and Robert Doakes our producer we'll see you on Monday for the Lindt classical game here at 3 p.m. [Music] you
