class of 2029 booster fundraiser. I second. It's been moved and seconded to approve class of 2029 booster fundraiser. Is there any discussion? Seeing none, all those in favor say I. I. All opposed say nay. Motion carries. All right, right into uh discussion I have enrollment projections. I just have a one-page spreadsheet to give you guys a visual. Um Disregard the stuff on the right-hand side. We only need to look at the other I thought I got that out of there, but it didn't again. If you could delete them. All this? All this? Just scroll over. Yeah, it is one the side with the blue. So, elementary goes up? Yeah, that can all go. So, we're only going to look at that on the other side. And the first column is what I'm planning on doing

budget. Um the kindergarten I have at 80.2 um two, and that is going to include uh the 10.8 slots or that we received in TK. Um our kindergarten right now is running at 79.41. And I'm really doing a roll forward method this year. And because we don't think we're going to lose a lot, but we don't think we're going to gain a lot either. A big change is our um kindergarten enrollment. That is way down. Right now we have 75 kids that are enrolled. So, I only added another five about to it, so you know. Okay. Um And so, then the rest is roll forward all the way through. You can see difference from what we have as an average of April to what I'm budgeting for the elementary. We're down 17.26. Middle school 10.52.

High school 13.3. You can also see I've added three from Salsa. And we haven't got their numbers, but we're guessing with them I can guarantee it's going to be nine or eight or something. Um me and Eric went through the numbers this morning. Um I added 25 from McLary. And two going into the ninth grade. And then I've taken out 20 that will be juniors to go to running start and 27 um seniors. And the running start numbers are down below. You can see right now we're running 47.49 and the 6.38 is the bulk running start. The 47.9 is regular running start. Um I only have the 47. Running start is really a pass-through money. We get 7% off the indirect. The rest just passes through. So it really does not affect our budget. Um

then open doors we're running 16.97. I'm budgeting 16. Uh ESD you can see those we're at six um I did a straight line method just across on those. Because we have had some high school students that have jump shipped to ESD to take certain courses. It's not going to change the bottom line. Okay. Where they are. It's still going to be the same FTE. Any questions about enrollment? And you can see we're going to be down 36.2 on the average. We're projecting 36 fewer kids district-wide next year than we have this year. Okay. And you can see we have a bigger class dropping off and a smaller class coming in as the seniors. That's part of it. Um And then our kindergarten is small. Um we have a small class going into the sixth grade.

And a bigger one jumping to the high school. Mhm. So kind of our difference is there. Cuz really those numbers should that 36 should be accurate provided we don't have other students from in essence other districts coming in. And I'm okay if they come in because that's many in. It's the going out. That's why I would rather be a little low and I may have to adjust the numbers when the F 203 which is our um our revenue side when it comes out and I run numbers. If I'm running low to make payroll, I'm going to have to inflate the numbers a little to make sure we can run off budget for 4 months. It could be that I have to budget some fund balance to cover payroll. And all of that is going to

have to go with bargaining. So I'm really not going to know a lot until bargaining is complete. Okay. It won't pretty straight cut. Saw it last year. It's continuing. Well, cuz really that kindergarten class coming in is still staying small. >> to do like at Rolling Hills in kindergarten. We had a high year and a low year. We're just going a continuing down right now. Okay. All right. So what it is. Anybody have any other [clears throat] questions about the enrollment projections? Thank you for making it very visual. Yeah, the roll down is nice. Yeah, makes it nice. All right. I think with nothing else I guess we can move on to policies. All right, there's a bunch of them here. >> [clears throat] >> Sorry to put them all on the discussion items. So,

there's a lot of no changes. Those are just WASDA has no changes on the board superintendent relationship. It's pretty straightforward. As you might have seen if you already read through it, same with procedures. It doesn't mean we can't make any changes. It's just there's no recommended changes from WASDA. I didn't see too many changes with other districts. They seem to be pretty clear-cut on those. Um as far as the 1630 evaluation of superintendent changes, there are some changes according to WASDA. Kind of lines with their newer evaluation tool and state standard, you know, the the the state side of things with RCWs. That that also seemed to be pretty standard with districts. The thing where where it gets different is 1630P. A lot of districts have a 1630P, which is spelled out exactly how they

do their evaluation. That's something that uh moving forward, that might be something we want to to do. But I didn't know if that was a tonight thing. I need to send out an email with uh the new WASDA evaluation process. They have it a little bit different, so aligned with goals. It strictly goes with your goals and then you you you align the whole thing. They have a whole process looking at what part of the year you go and where you're at in the process. It's pretty straightforward. It's like, "Okay, in August, you're doing this. July, you're doing this." That's right. So, it's really programmatic, very linear. It's pretty nice. And then the procedures that most districts have adopted or created seem to follow that. And it kind of tells a timeline like, "We will

do this by this date. We will have an executive session on this date." And then they usually align with their the school's contracts. So. So, I will be getting that out, but I did not think that was tonight's Yeah. >> topic. So, I figured you might ask the question about the procedures cuz the policy is not here right for approval but And then the other ones no changes is board member expenses board you know the procedure and the insurance all pretty much the same so Unless there's something that you saw you might want to add or change those probably just could stay the same. I think my only thought is making sure that our board communication protocols Follows that Follows the 1620 policy and procedure um that um um because the original verbage Yeah. I'm

speaking of which but you know it's really like >> Yeah. all communications but in the down here it's you know like all official but I feel like the rhetoric of our of our protocols >> protocols >> Yeah. Is different. not quite I feel like it communicates a different intent um so I do feel like that might be something we want to revisit if we need to. >> me dig into that and what I will do is I'll run those concurrently to see conflict conflicts between the policy and the Perfect. um protocols and see what I come up with. Perfect. And then I'll bring that back to the board for discussion on Perfect. >> how they differ from each other. Yes. Okay. Thank you. Sorry it's quiet I just got to write some notes. Anything else

on any of those others? There we go. All right now back to the hiring checklist. It's just a review of what I think was asked for last time. Any questions on that? I think the special notes and the few other additives on there kind of probably gather the Yeah. what everybody >> hoping Jamie would be here cuz she's the one that really had some changes to make sure we measured up to them. When she is back on vacation and she doesn't show I'm sure she'll look at it and take and give me some comments and if we have to we'll bring it back to look at it again next time. Okay. I think we captured what she had. All right. Any public comment? No. Okay. I didn't see the public comment comment change in there.

I haven't That was just You just added that for me really fast that We're we're still working on the rest of it. She just added that cuz it was nice and I wish you in that area visual. Yeah. Then move and second to approve to issue administrator contracts for 26-27. Is there any discussion?
