[Music] hello and welcome to the best can Sports Network we're here at the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse in beautiful Beverly Massachusetts for deep everly Panthers home opener against the Swampscott big blue hein Alex leuco joined by coach Tommy Donovan Tommy how are you - I'm looking forward to this year it should be a very interesting team to watch Alex first of all we welcome coach Matt Carroll kudos his first year a little background on map he's a 2002 graduate of st. Mary's where he played volleyball since his freshman year they won back-to-back state championships both his junior and senior he coached the past four years that Pope John's where he was in the tournament every year went to the loss finals also before that he coached over PB high after graduating from st. Mary's he
went on to play at Salem State for four years matt has an assistant coach he brought back with them from Pope John Jeff Downey he's Matt's bossy assistant coach his JV coach is Adam Russo his freshman coach was a young man Andrew Morenci who we all knows the Beverly High football coach here in Alice Andrew Morenci was actually my freshman coach my first year back in the 93-94 season and as far as Matt Matt we have a little connection here Matt was absolutely my ball boy back in 91 and okay his father's one of my best friends Harry Caray coolest and he used to bring Matt along for all the practices and games back then that comes full circle and it's a trend that with all this who does time in the house touching real
quick on the visi advisee team the key play is a watch we have two senior cap in his mat rotting and Louie duran matt will be the stopping point guide after being a backup to kevin Morenci last year Luigi's with the posse Plaisance is sophomore year very big three-point threat goes of Louisville Toscani will be as returning God styling last year as a sophomore Toscani of renew I like this kid I think he's gonna be a real good one yeah I've got a great first step goes to the hoop very very explosive I think we're gonna cut off now for the introductions here and we'll get back general timeouts yeah you were talking about head coach care kudos being a ball boy before and now eventually becoming a head coach like you said Andrew Morenci
he was also a ball boy back in his days as a young kid here living in Beverly in also first-year head coach of Beverly on the football side so two big first-year head coaches evolving from former ball points in the sport that's that's great to see [Applause] so we got swamp stick coveted Alex tonight and believe that while one one's got his own one they lost to Marble had three nights ago 68 259 and this is a team that you Beverly handled very easily last year coach and you had mentioned something before the pregame well just UNAM Facel how we pronounce like justin Fasil Fasil justin Fasil i goes against Justin he's a great kid he was a great ball player bad news day he took over the varsity team as a halfway through the
year last year so this is his first full year as head coach so Justin I know then if they play like Ricky boy gonna be a tough team starting lineups you just saw soif thought it's gonna be at the guard with McIntyre the four words of brodnik in Manado center will be tyler lacy on the penalty side were getting the introductions right now they're going to go with three guards tonight sharain rotting in a gray year the forward Moreland in the center will be Crowley now this was a team Beverly coming off of a huge win at Winthrop last Friday they 179 246 led by Duncan Moreland with 17 points five rebounds and four assists Duncan is a kid I found love with class she is a freshman I watched his first game I just
love his game he plays lashes a freshman I thought he just played fearless got a great future his sister the freshman on the girls team played very well she's gonna be the new puppy she is so we're gonna head to the court now as the ROTC for Beverly presents the colors [Music] and Tom you had mentioned the Moreland siblings here ELISA Moreland we had mentioned her while her brother was off at Winthrop scoring 17 in adding five rebounds and four assists she was here taking care of business against Winthrop in the Beverly girls home slashing of the Winthrop Vikings she put up 17 points in nine rebounds of her own as a freshman I watched that game on Bev cam last Friday night and I was very impressed first of all I didn't like what
we call some open gym at the end of you know the past month or so Alex for both of our boys in the girls and I'm very impressed with both teams a young I think they're gonna go sneak up on teams and I think they probably may be a year away Ellis yeah they do think they're gonna be pretty good this year but I think next year for Bolton look out nice group of girls nice group of guys and all the boys worth my camps the past couple of years nice group so they should be fun team to watch Alex we're about to tip off here at the Henry Cabot Lodge Fieldhouse Beverly 1a no hosting oh and one Swampscott Crowley and broad max anklet Jack Rowley this young man played a little bossy and
GeV so I see it bouncing around this kid has come a long way you're gonna hear a lot of this young man he's only a sophomore it's got a great future ahead of him he had a double-double on Friday at winter up 10 points 12 boards Swampscott quickly getting into it Beverly with good rotation here on D Dirk quick turnover terrain who feel my way he's a good look belly's playing man the man was last touched by number 23 rotting [Music] it's going to be Coleman bringing the ball up with McIntyre McIntyre senior point guard because the big blue it's gonna be fouled up top by de rain so terrain quickly forced to turn over but then turned it over himself now he commits a foul on the defensive end else I notice all the
Fosse kids on the bench all have the hoods on I don't that's cuz they coat on maybe either gonna start position you mentioned that before the game you you don't like that too much I'm old school too much TVs it is the more interesting how they look but they hook a bunch cuz they work I may be there keep those on till you get the first fool maybe it's in to an intimidation factor who don't go good D on the outside long to taken to be rebounded rebound by Mullen Abreu now going to take the three he got it give me all three of these says Abreu Abreu the first points of the night giving Beverly a 3o lead a minute ten into the first quarter that we still man the man in the corner
great deed there by a credit I get over in spite that's that's guy I really liked his kid I'm expecting a big gift for him he's really really worked hard he's getting up there he's dunking them he is the route guys and now three guys in the layup lines were Duncan before the game yeah we got a young we walk the young man from Philadelphia and be calm Micah Dave Micah Davies I like him my Philly man yeah Micah Davies a junior spent his life in Philadelphia living with his mother but decide to move to his dad's this year he's gonna play for Beverly High School and we'll see a lot of him this year and I played with him a lot over the years over the summers down at the Beverly skate park he's
a good player let's football toy analyst Andy's gonna play football next year miss Eva Abreu to Moreland the corner to the rain he wasn't really ready for it but he got it good ball movement by Beverly nice job pass of the body like what did Dylan rain wall mid-range jumper couldn't get it did you set a great ball movement by the Panthers early on driving now is McIntyre he'll take a floater sent away by terrain terrain struggling early with a foul and a turnover he already has a block in a steel also to go with those you know compare this team a little bit to the Celtics not in a sense as good as the Celtics obviously fighting this Titan the way and essentially they have aa passing the ball very unselfish team Moreland off
the dribble Abreu for another three in the corner he nobody puts the Scottie in the corner 6oh lead for the Panthers over the big blue Abreu has all six we stop Oh turnover Moreland again anticipation by so Beverly 1/8 will run to start the night two threes from Abreu in a quick steal for Moreland in transition to put Beverly up eight oh nice steal by Moreland great anticipation he anticipated that pass nice job by the way while we talking here Ellis I'm looking around the gym I see a lot of familiar faces that the camera can't see cuz they're sitting right below us yes good gentlemen you see them here whether you know no kids playing the kids have come and gone Frank forty Jack Dean Freddie smock LA you know big Beverly names Eve
ever Wilson you know I look across the way I see the forest boys Ricky and Bobo Gordy Ambrose yeah it's nice to see you know the people coming out you know even though the kids are coming on they support the penalty high school sports teams all sports and we saw a couple players from last year's team here as well before the game Pat Gavin's in the house Alex cope ones in the house nice to see that come home the Christmas break and could see beyond that you survived their first semester of college so Beverly leading ain't nothing McIntyre bringing the ball up for the big blue they need something to get going quickly Beverly has all the momentum right now it's gonna stay with the big bloggers in Raleigh great deviance nearby Crowley Beverly already
with two blocks the first two and a half minutes Beverly pointing his own out of bounds here probably with some mortgage before one thing live here that very I was a presser from the first game I went up was they got every loose ball Alex every loose ball they really outdoor culture rotting to de rain in the corner its Copeland for three excuse me not Copeland Duncan and Morley's Abreu another three three three for tonight and you said it you were expecting a huge year from this kid and he's got nine points on three of three from downtown Earl what's what's good now he said a couple of slight shots if he's gonna make his drive to the hoop any tougher I'll bring you the transition nice pass Duncan get pumped your tusks I've got
a great first step and I you know he starts hitting that outside shot they're gonna come up and get on him and that's what he can take advantage of that explosive movie has rotting and bounding the ball all nice out of bounds played Crowley Moreland Pat the Crowley Carly up fakes Abreu for three again can he do it for four four no he can't leave bound get the bum out of it miss one shot see what happens another turnover Beverly already traveling on a rail in transition goes up she has lettuces eleven points out of a 13 for the Panthers in this first quarter he wants God would remain the man nice take to the hoop off Moreland showed good D there they get the long rebound they'll take a three of their own and
that's good from max big not o forward for the big blue gets Swampscott on the board 13 3 with 4 left to go in the first quarter Moreland back to Abreu to rein back to Moreland in the corner he's gonna drive take with some contact rotting down low he gets fouled history - that was going to be on number 23 Tyler lacy second who's the first foul on that foul was on during fresh food roll while all is good so drains got one [Music] he's catching those the foul was on the news on number 23 or tip number 23 to Center Tyler lacy the second free throw from rotting is no good Mullen in the corner he's gonna get fouled again by Tyler lacy so he picks up two quick fouls in Fasil might have
to go to the bench quickly with his Center already with two in the first quarter he'll elect to keep him in Kamara entering the game recently for the Panthers Hill unbounded looking down low to Crowley he gets it to him turns around ball fake off it [Applause] Crowley misses that shot rebound lacy 334 left to go in the first quarter Beverley went up to a quick 11 Oh lead Kalka Mary's another one's gonna be a good one - Alex plate jayvees last year as a sophomore he's made a big jump in his game work tied we talked about him in the scrimmage about a week ago and we were impressed with his length get the perfect basketball party look at he's all arms and legs he's still growing now Michelle was all arms and legs
I'm all stomach on inbound for the big blue oh I thought it's a great team with the play by Moreland tough call Beverley second anticipation Alex yes Duncan's first Moreland siblings are gonna be maybe running this campus for the next three or so years judging on their performances so far on the hardwood big notto gets it up top guarded by Moreland back to Pig natto almost turned over again last touched by terrain it'll stay with the big blue eleven seconds on the shot clock good defense in Micah Davies the Philadelphia boy Philly boy you a man now he'll come in to give Moreland a break a man from Philly Micah looking to get it to pick not oh don't I Oh Bray you it's gonna go up will he dunk it he won't elect the
budget he know he can we've seen him do it to warmups he got up there already with 13 points in music Lazlo you even though he made that Alex you know I use the glass those are the ones you miss I pray you pulled it away again again nice hustle good hustle Toscani Abreu doing it all 14 out of the 16 Beverley points in this first quarter [Applause] Swampscott really not being able to keep up with Beverly on either end cases just join us is Beverly 16 to 3 with 228 to go in the first quarter the defensive by Davies up top a good switch from him and terrain it's going to be a shot clock by ing fence that's good defense defense in the junior micah davies showing great defensive presence and awareness of
the situation there in his first minutes playing at barely high school now corral he's gonna take a quick blow now mallamma is in for him you'll see his first minutes it's marginal lumba 3 from drain in the corner no good balumbo with the offensive rebound but I think Davies getting it called for the foul Mille Umba younger brother of former Beverly athletes Sammy lumba the lumber brothers very good athletes here for Beverly High School historically as we're gonna get another timeout called by Justin Fasil with 202 left to go in the first Beverly lead 16 to 3 and it's really been the Toscani Abreu show well I like belly as a whole in defense has been very aggressive they get the hands going get their feet moving off to a good stop my mum is
only a sophomore too late' this team I'm telling you is young Crowley's is sophomore again no one was a sophomore more than a sophomore the sky he's only a junior Kalka marries a junior a young man my god is only a junior so nice a little future ahead of them and I can't remember the last time I saw a sophomore be one of the captains at leat Jack Crowley a sophomore is a captain no he's not oh no no no the two captains are both seeing you okay so it's rotting into rain the reason I had Crowley there as well nice Charlotte Belva called the I see a lot of athletes in the crowd which is nice to see and coming out and supporting their classmates trying to get a past half court they do
mwamba with the good defense their Abreu was helping we were gonna get a foul called on Davies maybe it is on Davies that's his second in Bound under the hoop they get it to the corner ball fake he's gonna go up no good rebound the lumber the shot was taken by burned Kamara passes up the three Davies will take one from the corner he got it Davies with his first points here at Beverly high school makes it 19 three Panthers and Beverly coming out quickly with a press Davies with the deep Swampscott will slow it down balumbo pressuring hard and I believe we'll get a foul on number five with could push that bat last basket from Beverly now that was Davies had the three from the corner we're gonna get a foul on jahida
and paisley of the big blue is well with 1:15 left Beverly leading nineteen to three there only four for five from beyond the arc Abreu with three of those Davies with one he's going to try another he couldn't get that one to go fouls gonna be called on swamps got a loose ball foul with laid too far with his first come hour to inbound it underneath the hoop quickly to Davies he puts it up in in five points now for Davies in his Beverly home debut nearly almost they do force a turnover on that press tomorrow thinking about along to gets it up to terrain pass nice pass alum by using his body couldn't get it to go 36 seconds left in the first quarter Beverly leading 19 3 we're gonna get a foul on
mwamba now his first 5th Beverly team foul this quarter the rain will exit entering is now senior number 11 Jared McCormack Alan Paisley with the ball guarded by Kamara Kamara pokes it away in the backcourt hold on back up then Kamara we talked about his length and he used it there [Music] Kamara a junior takes a few of the media classes here at Beverly High School see him around the studio a lot nice teamwork again nice pass a nice job moving the ball Davies down low gets it to Bearer who scores his first two of the night Dave Texas night 23 3 Beverly lead 17.7 left to go shot clock turned off 14 seconds medley with a 20-point lead in the first quarter Euro step there no good rebound was Davies McCormick gets it 4
seconds left Davies trying to go behind tries to get through hew tried to get too cute with it was Davies as warlin will enter now for the Philadelphia native 1.7 left swamp Scouts gonna have to heave it they don't get this shot off so at the end of 1 Beverly takes a commanding 23 to 3 lead into the second quarter led by 13 from Toscani Abreu coach what did you see in that first quarter that really stood out to you of course the Braves play but what else from this government I think that would just being aggressive they move the ball nice on offense again a little reminder of the salt of style play this year very unselfish a very active with their hands Bev Lee a nice job I mean think about this they
only gave Oscar one basket that 3-point in the collect hand corner and that's it so they're off to a great start up 20 after one that three-pointer was scored by Toni broad next forward usually no that was max Peck meghanadha on the big blue side so matt Carriacou does not wasting any time sure telling his guys just keep doing what you're doing quickly gets him out they're ready for the second quarter and he sends out mccormick Mille Umba bearer Kamara and Moreland I've got swastika for three team files can you see from that side I can't see I'm blocked out I see the Marciano brothers in the house that's Duncan Mullins our grandfather common so listed as five team fouls for Swampscott I have four that I saw start of the second quarter it's McIntyre
bringing it up guarded by camara good tomato we get Jarrod McCormick number lovely to see you there now ain't dilma lumba he'll go up with the contact couldn't get it to go he'll shoot two [Applause] I'm looking for his first points of the evening first free throw no good gonna get a substitution for the big blue in will come Alan Paisley he'll replace number three Dave Coleman Coleman was one who committed that foul for Swampscott second free throw is up pretty good [Applause] twenty four to three so we got we got McCormick in the McCormick sumo with mwamba para camara Berra is Shaheed Allen Paisley's first points go through only the second made field goal for the big blue tonight can we travel called on Moreland couple subs for the Panthers is rotting into rain
come in for chimera and mcCormick [Applause] [Music] Allen Paisley guarded by Mille Umba Ronning has type D on pick natto they get it back to Allen Paisley looking to work a pick he'll take a long to off the mark rebound balumbo he's off to the races takes it down Main Street kicks it out to more when it who takes a three couldn't get it to go with his foot terrain with an offensive rebound and putback good against ago he gets his own rebound again the ball will eventually end up with the big blue [Applause] for the rain not yet on the board but he has a few rebounds tonight to go along with a couple steals and a block early [Applause] 6:40 left to go in the second McIntyre spin move fadeaway jumper sent away
by Moreland rebound Abreu will look to continue his breakout for performance in that first quarter they got a grab that was a good foul because he had him on a nice little spindle so they're calling a jump ball on that one all they did thought they called a foul you're right alum buyout Crowley back in this is gonna stay with Beverly though starting fine for the Panthers is in ray you quick jump shot got it to go and everything seems to be falling 15 points owning this one shot tonight that was a three rebound Moreland terrain now he'll take the three wide open couldn't get it to go rebound Swampscott they almost turned it over twenty six to five another three from pignite oh he made the first four Swampscott couldn't get that to go
another rebound for Moreland oh what a beautiful pass by Mall and Crowley couldn't yet it finish in Moreland as soon as he got that rebound was off to it and good look got to keep your head up and he did found her streaking Crowley I've got 17 fouls on them now so belly should be the bonus after this [Music] [Applause] [Music] golly missed the first one now as a coach Tommy your team missed a lot of free throws during a game what did you do the next practice no running no extra running no extra sprints oh we ran we always shot under pressure maybe that was on different players give them one-on-ones they missed the first they do two suicides they mean one miss one is one suicide no but seriously with the pressure on
if I was on your team maybe I would have had a lot better cardio working another journalist for now hi Beverly Waller to the hole good decision keeping it was gonna get to 26 five lead for the Panthers two or five 24 left to go in the second fouls on number 11 Jackson burn his first always 1 for 5 from the line right now Ellis with that miss so I wonder what Coach caracoles will be doing room to long practice Mullen coming off of 17:5 and for performance at Winthrop land well tonight but he missed the second one for 6 from the line as a team McIntyre the 3 no good rebound Moreland quick pass to terrain with bass Bentley looking around looks like he gets fouled found one number three Coleman that's his second
[Music] terrain without a point tonight he had 11 to go with 11 rebounds and four assists on Friday and he knocks down his first get his first one nice crowd tonight Monday night that Wilson you have the PHS fan squad it's a Halloween theme for the PHS fan squad tonight as the rain knocks down the second 28 5 with 507 ago first half you oh you lost us yeah well back I guess 28 to 7 case you just joined us belly of a swamp skate with 439 ago on the first half yeah we're gonna get a timeout well we had to the timeout a quick message from the MIAA the well-rounded education is one that is not only academically oriented but one that also includes physical social and emotional development Interscholastic athletics provide the other
half of Education the MIAA encourages you to support your local high school athletic teams throughout the school year of course that goes without saying everybody wants to come watch them apparently high school basketball coach Lily you got it brother leading scorer for the Panthers tonight to Ascanio Bray you well we got a timeout we'll go around this to people I'll be watching the Danny Corrado would be probably laying on a couch right now watching the game so quick hello Danny Frank 40 I know his hip but red-hot quick hello red-hot warm up that stuff Beverly High School great sports man and the Roger Morenci likes to watch sitting and watch what kind of Roger Jack Omari Swampscott come any marriages also not on this time out with a press Abreu trying to beat it he
goes up shows yes lettuces Oh Scotty Abreu is putting on a clinic tonight 17 points for the young fella but he'll commit a foul here his first of the evening the sixth on Beverly so swass will be in the 101 net foul Swampscott trying to gain some momentum in this second quarter to carry over towards the second half McIntyre he just scored earlier he'll put up another bucket he now has four in the quarter Villa 9 turns it over trying to get its a rotting it's going to be an easy two for the big blue that's coming from number two kool Kat I'll play careless on that even like we saw there Swampscott came out of that last time out pressing and that gave Beverly a fit in that second possession for a quick four-point
swing I think what happened on it I think they cut belly off did not expecting it coming by surprised with the press but they'd be ready for it now I'll look for the belly hook to break and not just break it but maybe you know definitely run off in an attack with the athletes that they have like Abreu and like it to reign in rotting I'd like to see them do that pretty easily absolutely okay we got a girl's update for swamps get you know the first quarter it's launched get girls 12 and Beverly three and the idol one keep you updated as the evening goes on Beverly girls of course want to know Beverly boys also want to know both teams looking to extend a to a no tonight and rodding is going to
get fouled there by Isiah boost gone so it's gonna be 1 in 1 for the Panthers rotting well it's gonna be 2 shots there in the double bonus who are they gonna call a technical oh we got a technical here or no it's not it was confusing okay [Applause] [Music] rotting will shoot two rotting knocks down the first Friday at Winthrop he had seven points to go along with six rebounds in the Beverly 79 46 win Riley Chifa to go to 32 11 school and now 350 left to go McIntyre trying to put work on terrain trying to use a pick likes to go ISO almost turned over there good defense by Moreland McIntyre taking the pick take a long to couldn't get it to go a brave all away with it somehow gets it
to Crowley who lays it in for a zoo oh don't live it gonna stay he stepped out of bounds but he was definitely pushed you know I thought I thought he might've stepped out he was pushed by Tyler Lacy on the Swampscott side was missed by the rafts as they were both charging towards the ball as camara will come in for Ronnie to take those points off that really still leads 32 11 with 327 left to go in the first half [Applause] great plenty on Allen Paisley big knot oh oh or Lewallen trying to look up to Crowley he might just take it himself a little side hop Crowley ends up with it he'll get fouled and he'll try to redeem himself he's over 2 at the line tonight begin knife defense played Mullin keep
me very active with the handsy please get quick hands [Music] golly first ones good nobody's made about Kenya pulling one out and climbing a lotta back those free throws through your mind a gold belt leads up Davies and 32 33 to 11 Davies enters for Moreland meaning Crowley knocks down go for a nice soft touch there 307 left to go in the first half barely with a 23 point lead McIntyre takes a floater that doesn't go Davies is off to the races is going to try to take it himself Amy's so Davies in his Beverly home debut already has seven points in the first half for the Panthers showing off let's tell ya he think that we have nice piece of this puzzle and I'll tell you he loves the pass the ball he's an
excellent passer Davies gets beat there by McIntyre McIntyre puts it in for two he has six now all in this quarter Swampscott pressing again to rain doesn't panic gets it up to Davies Dave rayo láser they all nice pass Kamara up and under for to the assist from Ascanio Brae you beautiful pass by to Sky tomorrow with his first points of the night his Beverly team is clicking tomorrow playing D staying tight Davies daring a shot from broad Nix he gets it to the corner the lefty three no good rebound a brave guy comes out of it [Applause] hesitation step floater no good rebound pick not oh it's McIntyre now Davies is trailing he doesn't electic goal for the block to McIntyre with his eighth 38:15 136 game is picking up in pace as terrain
will take along free any god luigi terrain from three NATO has five tonight streaky shooter as we've talked about before but when he's hitting he's hitting when he's on Lookout - from pulling his team's trading blows but Beverly still with a commanding lead they lead 41 while still pressing fellow he's making a pretty good wow they roll nice block David King sent away by Mac in time but that was a nice pass no he had the yet to test the layup for a minute just took a little too much time going up with it we got blocked from behind Davies with a rebound rebound in a novel path mouth heals the ball good for big guy Kamara Crowley all traveling on corners he knew it too alright well 3 subs covering a clock wash incoming
number 12 okay marshmallow humble as well as Ryan bear Ryan back well you talk about athlete this American if you didn't see the Beverly Sandler game this kids going off for a touchdown but beside that he made just some outstanding catches just very athletic 34 seconds don't even junior goes here a lot of him that you soak while you watch father's path was a great athlete himself 1 3 no good rebound Mulumba [Applause] 20 seconds Bellevue probably go home for one here should be shot clock turned off Kamara 14 seconds Davies with it looked on to the Tanner he'll drive he'll put it up they get hit ball no step that I'm Beverly gonna break there we got five point four seconds are up 41 17 they're gonna get one more shot here there was
a case of Davies really trying to do too much it still had time on the clock they have 500 foul fowl gonna be called on number 10 Tony brought Knicks all right so Micah Davey's gonna shoot to 4.6 seconds again 41:17 Lee actually foul was gonna be called on jahida land Paisley not products first free throws goodbye Davies 4217 daizy's impressive in his Beverly High School a bank shot whoa he had time do something about there and that's gonna be the Hat Beverly leading 4217 behind Toscani of ray whose performance in that first half he had three threes in totaled 17 points in the first half for the Panthers he had a few assists and a few rebounds in there as well so quick thoughts here at the end of the first half coach well
I like the first half McIntyre has eight points not a swastika 17 so he's got almost half their points besides that brain who's got what you say he's got seventeen here you know you got a Duran has scored wall on his gourd Crowley is good you're watching Bev camp here anyone can come to the studio to make their own look roaring his scored kala Merri has scored Davies is scored mumbles good so all Brian Berra has scored yeah so it's look people getting the aplex going again I'm very impressed with bellies and selfishness and pass through the ball alright we're gonna take a brief recess here at the end of one Beverly leads the big blue 42 217 a proper thumping from the Panthers and tuscania Brea we'll be back momentarily for some more thoughts

all it took was someone who would just listen [Music] everything starts out small the things that hurt us they all start from somewhere the words we say the things we do I can grow into something else what was small and innocent can become big and sometimes scary all it takes is one comment one picture one video for something to catch fire but a big problem doesn't need a big response not at first we don't know what to say the eye emoji can be that first step we take let's all pledge to take that first small step together and change the world in a big way I'm a witness and so are you [Music] you [Applause] [Music] welcome back to the Bev cam Sports Network here at the Henry Cabot Lodge few thousand Beverly Massachusetts again
Alex leuco with coach Tom Donovan Beverly leading 42 to 17 over Swampscott in that first half led by 17 from Abreu and ate from Davies and coach when it's this big of a lead going into the second half for Beverly 4217 what would you use to do as a coach well we had the situation oval in English years ago he and I was missing my two best players that night and I told because I have time we've got nothing to lose we're gonna come out we're gonna fire nothing but threes you know we're you shooters I'd go to the hoop kick it out know where your shooters are we came out we shot lights out we were down about 30 a half tying up we lost the game by two or three came back yeah
in fact we actually ran out of timeouts if we had another time I was so we probably could have pulled it out they had that young man Brewington okay Beverley campus one put on this big blue team if they heard that story from you they definitely wouldn't Beverly sending out their starting five its Abreu to rain Moreland Crowley in rhotic McIntyre with the ball he had all of his eight points in that second quarter he has eight of the big blue seventeen puñado drives ball fake gets it to the corner of three yeah there we go just like you said brought Knicks for three and maybe that's gonna be the big blues game plan kick it out to your shooters and let it rain sometimes it's no guts no glory nothing to lose by up
terrain driving kicks it out Crowley fakes the three he'll get called for another travel he's had a few of those well that first one well first half was definitely travel I that one they it was a little questionable I didn't think your travel on that one so Beverly leading 42:20 Swampscott with nothing to lose here in the second half calling for a pic from Pagnotta as McIntyre he'll drive right on rotting good defense there he couldn't get it to go kicked out there by McIntyre tire toothpick not oh good job coming alive Coleman's calling for it in the corner he doesn't get it kick it out pick not oh four three two quick freeze for Swampscott and they fall in Garrett Kudus quick timeout he's not letting this one find you just thought about that

that's his first [Applause] [Music] so Swampscott coming out early to add those two quick threes they're playing very well but Beverly not letting it faze them still playing their game playing very hard first foul the half just on to wasn't Alex leave so ok riding with the ball in to Crowley all nice shake and bake rule by polygon Bravo to Crowley 2 for 4 from the line tonight [Applause] second team foul knocks it down fouls on boost gone that's his third Muskaan will come out in his place he's Alan Paisley [Applause] [Music] Crowley second free throw is good probably after missing his first two free throws Alice's now made his last four so he's four for six he's got a nice touch too low three throws he may be just at the front room you

that following on Moreland his second big motto to burn in the corner he'll take it he gets it right in front of bearers mug to go we turned over tomorrow couldn't handle it a lot of miscommunication in this Beverly backcourt right now Swampscott coming out playing a much better third quarter for being held to 17 total points in the first half they already have 14 in this third quarter three off the mark rebound Moreland thinking about pulling up he drives power step puts it up couldn't get it to go he'll shoot two fouls on number five Shaheed Allen Paisley third on Allen Paisley in the sixth team foul committed by Swampscott already in this third quarter Nolan not happy with his free-throw shooting tonight his basket comes in for Coleman Lauren shooting his second he
gets it to go Moreland four points in the third quarter he has six on the evening [Applause] Davy's playing Dion Pagnotta who get called for a foul Electra know it's gonna be an offensive foul called on Swampscott that we got to update over the swamps get right now at the end of three it's the Beverly girls 29 the Slavic girls 22 at the end of three in what was the score at the end of the first quarter of that game 18 to 70 so Beverly is held Swampscott to four points in the second and third quarter right over in Swampscott playing very well defensively pass just looking at the numbers as Kamara comes with three nice look down caught the Moreland he'll take a three spots up couldn't get it to go off and support

at the end of that play yes Davies got the vlog he got his own rebound but instead of maybe pushing it up to get a shot opportunity he boasted in the opponent's face we've seen him do that a couple times so he's got a lot of passion he's just got to control it and hone it and remember after you find what to not know that he's gonna be ok he's got a couple games under his belt playing very well tonight 9 points four boards yeah he's gonna like I said early he's gonna be a big piece of this puzzle for his team in the long run so that will be 63 points after three was that they're gonna hit the 70 point mock for the second game in our oh thank you for watching Bev
