you [Music] [Applause] [Music] hello everyone and welcome inside Beverly High School as we get ready to start this season off girls basketball Beverly High will be opening up with Winthrop today we're getting ready for tip-off and just under four minutes here go over quick starters here for Beverly we got Sabrina Beaudry starting a guard Rosie got the forward hailey Anderson also the guard Tia Barnard and I wish I was some more less and I'm Dominic Lauren zono here bachata to you alongside my partner here Dan Lauren's on out I think I am I'm interested to see I'm interested to see what we see today so it's exciting the first team tough here last year a little bit and a little bit of a substrate Jarrett start the season but yeah a little bit of a
top here they started to season off with seven straight losses finished here at five and twelve but they've quite a lot better down the stretch who's a young team they're missing we've graduated but for the most part everyone else is back and they really seem to turn things around and turn the corner played a lot better basketball in the tournament far more complete we saw hailey Anderson from the outside shooting the three love more diversity to the offensive attack and I think there's a lot more hype and a lot of good things to see out of this team this year we'll see how everything goes jassie built accomplice start season absolutely see if they can hit the ground running here [Music] how big how big of a confidence booster do you think this will be
a lot of these people as we said returning they know some of the struggles from last year if they can start things out with a win Michigan and what do you think that's going to do a lot of these players were here last year it wasn't the best experience but you know it's still experience they still got to go off they play the whole season so they did well in the tournament so you know you get the first win off here so it's tough to get the first one No make sure you stay level-headed and you things off on the right foot indeed we'll see if they can do that today let's go over to here the Winthrop starters franceska Capone she's a senior in one of the captains she'll be number four kings and
you'll see on the floor Katelyn Driscoll another senior in captain number 23 Marissa door a freshman number one Carolyn Kinsella and Emma Turner the junior number five Kinsella number eleven and there's substantial there as you can see on the screen this is his fourth season head coaching it's gonna have a lot of familiarity with his players and his starters here this year it's still relatively young team quite a few freshmen and sophomores on the team but they do have the captain's the the two seniors in the Junior - hopefully lean on especially just start the year to get it off to a good year and like so they had so much momentum built up at the end of the year especially doing so well in the tournament has just started so we're just about ready
those last two as we mentioned before the two captains of this winter squad [Applause] first class first class [Music] all right now show anthem is over and we're just about ready to get underway here and kick off this 2017 to 2018 season [Applause] Tiye bernard going up against Francisca Capone here for the tip-off [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and it's off winter cleans the tip right now keeping the ball on the outside kocoum working against Bernard drives inside welcome to lay I can't get it to go but I get the rebound and put it down [Applause] impressive just like the JV team did [Applause] what you're giving some early success there with that with that press so they get the ball back I'll be in bounded here Beverly if I third zone download they get the rebound
that's on hold down by Bernard it's not as up and good Sabrina Beaudry with the first bucket of the season for the Panthers shot is up look what they got another couldn't look there Shaw was put up by Chris Cole winter ups across having success again oh we've got sloppy at the possible Beverley gets it back and a foul so far though it looks like winter press looks like it's gonna cause some problems for Beverly they'll have to adjust we saw the the JV team eventually adjusted to that they got the ball head a little quicker it's all along asses - you saw sort of turn that - turn that press on itself Haley from the outside who shoot drives in stops throws up a little floater back up again he gets it and Beverly
with a 4-2 lead now you sure how good shooting she was in the tournament last year especially a good pass inside that got tipped out there was Rosie Koch who got a hand on that pass and eventually led to the possession here for Beverly that press is working Capone put up a floater it looks like they're gonna get another foul here though that is on Karolina Kinsella so Koch inbounding the ball here they've had some success already in the half-court offense the press has been given info so they kind of try to push it up a little more tawdry works inside no foul there the ball goes out of bounds will be Winthrop all [Applause] [Music] as you can see Sabrina Beaudry is for the most part we see is handling the offense and running
it we saw that a lot last year as I slip away there by TIA I think eventually gets the ball back though door with the ball working against Hayley now to Capone and away [Applause] put their hands and fingers on the passes and shots we saw Beaudry and dodge get their hands both on the ball in that possession whip still has it trying to get it inside again steps it out door it was a cross back to them doing a great job here of screen everything outside right now on this possession not a good shot forced it that was a good defensive possession by Beverly having some problems with the press again though hoju is able to get it out of there not the Sabrina shil slow things down here got a lot more success
when they slow things down inside decent luck not going to go though door again trying to drive inside forces another one having a lot of luck with the out-of-bounds falls though they keep going to Winthrop the [Applause] poems on the inbounds to people on Halley and gets pushed back a little bit gets the ball out now they got a two-on-one down here and see if they can take advantage now they draw the foul you see how well they beat the press located they can't be so hesitant they're hesitant that's when the press beat you they get your face look you can't find you in some pass the ball teammates already down court you got to find the first person that's open get it to them get it move it down court all right so that's
Rosie Koch at the line here and that's the first one [Applause] fancy drains ho-hum to get Beverly at 6 to lead here early 340 to play we got a bucket on their first offensive possession and since then they have to develop completely dry and they'll have another turnover here Beverly's made defenses just just causing too many problems they can't get any clean looks and passes no clean look slingshots well defensive game she might have talked about how she saved it though I was a little worried that you touch that staying on Haley years trying to find something passes it out to bogey who slows things down Sabrina working the offense again back to Haley still on the outside took a look down there at the post there it is and well she made a nice
move but a little off-balance on the shop Weaver brings it all the way up the court but again nothing to link up on their offensive possession that's one thing I do like seeing so far more Allah does have the size advantage down low they do she is getting some good looks down that keep feeding it toward them if you look like when she turned she just a little off-balance when she put the shot up couldn't really trap Sabrina there she passes up the court but is in no one there that was Briscoe who got the ball back for Winthrop little bump there almost went out of bounds and it's stolen away by Bernard that the pass goes out of bounds and I'll go back to winter up there [Applause] [Music] direction that was that was
a list of Moreland to stop there a timeout called so pause here it's Beverly six went through to 240 to go let's go over quickly what we've seen so far what did what a great defense all teams kind of aggressive on defense both teams have been shown willingness to play some defense said Beverly has been playing some and looks very aggressive with the man getting their hands in them the passes tipping passes forcing them to do in bounds with a little time in the shot clock Winthrop playing the press that Li's just hasn't been able to figure it out really they have forced some fouls oh I bleep everything doesn't even have a family yet on them that's good that's something that happens a lot in the press too you open yourself up to one
more foul trouble but not to me not nothing yet to be really overly concerned but yeah Beverly just needs get path to get to the half work and a half foot orthotic assessing officer said Merlin's been open down-low [Music] I predict that these going again when throw-in the ball up inside door picks it back out sound of another four shot again he was out of bounds Wichita they took that back it was a nice try that I thought she was gonna get away with that for a second oh you can't do that goes over the back and draws another foul that's the third team foul for win throw that one is on Kinsella again they got Haley trapped there but she gets it out SIA across the Haley she has an open look pretty far
outside heylia deep - we know she can do that from three-point range - she's a very good shooter probably the best shooter on this Beverly squad we saw that in the tournament against Newton South Haley came off the bench along with the poor faking and they paint threw up a lot of breeze to keep that game close for Beverly against a talented Newton South Kent to finish off the tournament last year's [Applause] Winthrop desperately trying something that there they go brings up an eight-oh run for Beverly that was to sell out we got that bucket there for him throw low nice pass open look can't go but walling gets the rebound and puts it down early on I would say they had Armbruster last year but I'm loosening to be outsized herself - Alyssa right
now making a huge difference in Beverly's offense getting a lot more rebounds and a lot more of a presence inside Haley brings it up picks it out shot is up and no good I was Brooke baby who came to the game and put that truck up [Applause] get plenty of playing time last year - and the ball is stolen away from doors and better to travel so we'll get the ball back [Applause] [Music] [Applause] dear Bernard will come off the floor now and replaced by della nice break she's a senior shut up and no good Winthrop that's another rebound though give themselves another chance pass inside force that really gets it back you got another two-on-one here ELISA Haley some time line was choose ones you see people rush they throw the ball ahead but
beautifully done there she kept it just long enough and pass it the right side shot from the outside from Lynbrook not gonna go cozy gets the rebound brings it up before throws it all the way off then he gives it back to Brooke thought about a shot that passes it back Audrey from the faculty family looking really looking at starting to take over this game that's 14 - for now it solves the press similar the way the JV squad did I mean if they could reason while they've been able to to stop it is just repeat the process winter can't get in it because they're not scoring pass over them there's always going to be an open person they're finding the open person they really turned it on there as we saw we've got that
first bucket to open things up but it's been all Beverly since then 14 to 4 here and it's really been led by their defense they're playing very good tight band coverage they're getting their hands on the passes that she's doing fundamentally sound they're not following they're just playing smart staying with their person winthrop shreds and picking a role plays it Beverly it's been able to rotate and stay with them it hasn't caused any problems for yet and as so far the tip just does not have an answer to that influence I'm looking up at the board right here the most impressive thing to me is with all the tips all the times that they've gone inside and disrupted the Winthrop offense they have 0 team [Applause] [Music] it's paid off dividends four points in one
quarter I don't care what it is that's great absolutely just about ready to start the action back out here and see what see what goes down let's see if Winthrop has the answer if Beverley continues with a success right now it's Brooke baby on the floor Dylan Sprague Haley Anderson Delina correction there Delaney Sprague I think I had trouble with her name last year - that's her there with her close Spray gets her for his points of the year and it's 16 to 4 now Beverly unofficially I think it's about a six Oh run right now for Beverly driving inside the force on me again she try the Village People there was a mountain but jump all is false surprise keep trying force the ball is inside it you've got good job plug in the
zone winters gotta try out some outside shots for something that tries to loosen them up a bit two people down there and you think you'd be able to find an open person but they just get jammed up and do it ever that gets that pain on the ball again it'll go back to interrupt but as we've seen just getting in the way of the passing lanes [Music] [Applause] inside turn shoots got a that was Francis there come home it's sometimes good officers to speak good defense the captain are no trouble with the press there they have the advantage easy way out of plane [Applause] that you it was one of those the money to wide open there's no flow got excited and just put it up at about yeah [Music] I don't think she fit
that in Haley from the outside not that time now doors got the rebound takes it all the way up before kinda lobs one behind her head that Winthrop gets it [Applause] and there is a towel there first foul against Beverly that is on Kyrie McCarthy who just came into the game for Beverly out of bounds back to Winthrop [Applause] number 15 for winter bunny in bounds I don't have a full roster for winter boy she's holding for a while that's at the Capone down low strip the race no.1 by Beverly up the floor pulls it all the way across nice save look like what they're Haley has it now inside [Applause] Delanie sprayed again 18-6 Beverly Edo run so in the first set we already will play the year that was a sensational play by
Bruckner and keep that ball inbounds and eventually turned it into points so 18-6 Beverly's ahead 603 left to play here in the second quarter and travel there [Applause] kylie is a one of the freshmen here on this Beverly squad they had a lot of them on it last year not as many this year but she's one who looks like she's gonna get plenty of playing time this year along with Alyssa [Applause] crystal throws it away Brooke working against it that was nicely done she had someone in her face but she's able to get the bucket anyway 10 Oh run for Beverley 26 as the lead now [Applause] what they called a foul fowl they're called on Caitlin Driscoll so Beverly will get the ball back 536 here to play in the second quarter of 2016
and a 1000 run on right now for Beverly right now they've kept a lot of the momentum that the starters have gotten definite oh man oh just off flux hands right there yes yes I say I like what the coach is doing okay I like what they're doing especially on defense are keeping the intensity up you still get the hands and the balls but like seem get a couple more on those three defensive rebounds there get possession but so far you have to be pleased with what the bench is doing the passing was great they beat the press easily they solved the press if I would suppose we change it the disc able are we looking like it's getting out of hand a bit less Beverly team looking real good to start the season shot
from way outside that's not going to go before just a little too far that I know once it gets the ball back they're getting too excited when they see the old person just take take the split second make the right pass got them on their heels travel there though for Winthrop so everything will get the ball back T on the inbound pass to Beaudry at the top of the key working against Capone it's a brook to Delanie inside swat it away their jump ball and that will go to Beverly so they'll maintain possession here so breathing on the inbounds Alyssa Moorman will check back in the game for della nice break who had a very productive time and hurt in the game then you're the score keeper there how many how many you'd only get
off the bench there oh she's got six points off the bench in it I added a rebound as well those whistle in here you've seen your captain's coming off the bench keep the pencil gonna hang on that pass again to Brooke another open what she gets 22:6 12:01 for Beverly Beverly quickly starting to run away with this game they just look sound on both sides of the ball right foul there though that will be on Alyssa Moreland just the second team foul for Beverly and then looking to Beverly Cephas they have two fouls right now but none up an act in the act of shooting they've all been just good defensive plays it just unfortunately you hit the wrist in the center ball Delaware a little worried there the Leben emphasizing a point that was
wrong because our board here doesn't have the team fouls out there but but one on this crew that says that we got it [Applause] inside once again I feel every time if they get the ball inside there's always two Beverley defenders there against one person there's not much more to say other than justice just outstanding defense the entire game I know we talked about the earlier surprise more than a freshman who's starting she's clearly proved she might be one if that was his best play rebounds Brooke from way outside out that time now she's great with the passing she's active on defense absolutely what's that a big factor right now in their defense and offensive they were kind of missing our spirit [Applause] together that was swatted away with an authority that was Alyssa again
on the defense just completely stuffed that shot it done you could hear this be heard the sound all the way up here here on the balcony all right winthorpe on the inbounds to 9 to 0 or 22 to 6 Beverly lead foul that time though [Applause] kinsella as i behind couldn't quite catch who that foul was on for Beverly she's really take it out princess the opponent this gave a senior captain for winter except with the except for the one great shot by Archie I Turner was it that turn around the world it yeah again beats the press basically easily working inside and draws the foul [Applause] now Alyssa will go to the line here for Beverly her first time to the line today I think that the first one we go 22 7 our
score here 309 left to go in the second quarter both quarters seem to have really been dominating by Beverly Moreland can't get that one either right so turnout never once upon the thing and a foul I like that by what time try to change it up do you do something different what you're doing is not working on offense so you may have to get out of your comfort zone a little bit because there was a nurse heading there that quick run down the horse she was able to draw the foul to again though not me active shooting that's not you but you'd hit an outside shot does it right now insides not working poetry dribbles right around the grass no we didn't even need a pass there just weaved your way in and out it
worked that time Haley from outside just a little short that time look at unless I go up over top of everyone and get the offensive rebound Haley gets it back again to Sabrina and three-second violation there on Beverly Moreland our D is for repo easily outpacing anyone else that was one of the things that I observed watching this team last year - especially during the struggling point of the season just please get anything on the board's outside shot there for rental slaughter the way Beverly ball Haley or if you're gonna foul you've got to make sure they don't get the bucket - hey we get a nice layup to go there and an extra shot here so Brooke will check back into the game one is 6 7 a shot against tough by Beverly if
it frustrated is the setting in now on offense I think so a little bit they're just trying to force too much inside it's not working and they just don't have another engine it's a lot of block shots tries to go up over the top of the defender there it's not gonna work saw the other man coming got it out quickly to Brook we're cutting acetate is for half a sec there puts the shot up anyway though not gonna happen when that ball is tall away from ever gonna post and they'll draw another foul that's on Francisco Capone yeah Haley wide open yes happens that was the hesitation Devonshire might have saw it at the last second so the first of the foul shots goes in for T uh Bernard 26-7 our score now 1:35 left
to play she that's the second as well it's a good free-throw shooting by the way tonight for Beverly a listen is stuff other than I think they've made all the completely made everyone's in the line and start the game made one and you got a creative stuff here he could tell the spevak teams very fundamentally sound they had problems with the press really in frustration right now let's go Franziska that looks like a little bit of a trip there they might have got tangled up she had a little bit of a shove on Moreland earlier to Gabe's get a little chippy you know I believe it is this winter his first game as well it's tough it's tough when you get the first game I like this it's not quite as you hoped Howie not
the way they drew it up [Music] [Applause] so that's not Alyssa Moreland at the line again she gets that 128 seven our score a minute twenty two left Beverly is in the bonus now get some bolt that time as we mentioned before she is the sister of junking Moreland he was on every boys team as we know I think that's the one that Tom Donovan called the pop last year he was a freshman who started in the lot and another foul reach in there trying to swat the ball away winter really has to be careful here they don't want to I'm surprised you're staying with the press you don't want to get to any peloton you're already falling behind as it is you don't want to start giving them free points Sabrina the flip side
of that though is maybe they're starting to think now how far they're behind they need to get as many possessions as possible like that fine line it's like where do you where do you stop it but where do you start it again because you're desperate I'm just saying Beverly's clearly figure that Sabrina gets that one Beverly has figured out you know how to beat the press see you wondering if baby hash on the talk about maybe trying to do something else 37 our score now very largely the Beverly he's opened up or under a minute now to play in this first half Haley passed just off target they're looking for Sabrina Beaudry 46 seconds to go Winthrop on the inbounds believe mo he adores the only starter left in the game right now for we
go and for probably a lot of foul trouble as we know for Capone is one of them [Applause] about a second difference between the shot clock and the game clock right now timeout called there by Beverly I needed a quick second I couldn't tell if Brooke travel on that pass over a time I didn't golf but indeed was a time I'll call ten seconds left here Beverly ball they're up thirty to seven if controlled pretty much every phase of this game so far and it's really been a great showing to start up this season you couldn't ask for a better first stuff I don't know if they scored 30 points at any half last year but now they have done they're done at this game and you look once they they had some problems with
the pressure early on in the game and they figured out how to beat them when trumpty has not adjusted and Beverly's credit they said you know if it's working don't change it so that's what they've been doing and often they've also been able they were able to go inside with Borland they've had something outside Thompson they've been able to show real diverse offense and it's really it's tough to defend the softer defends on the inside and the outside their defense that amazing man-on-man they've been playing a lot of getting theirs on the ashes getting a lot of balls up something small a short shot box for Winthrop and a lot of some frustration for winter up they've not adjusted they haven't tried too much outside shooting to try to free up some lanes on the
inside tea on the inbounds glad you are mentioned that diversity in the offensive attackers that was the big thing that I noticed last year in the tournament that they really can [Applause] a little confusion there don't know if the shot clock expired or the game clock expired both are reading zero right now I think they're gonna add an extra second or two there was at least a second difference between the two clocks so winter pull indeed get the inbounds pass I don't they haven't reset it though in front okay there we go two seconds left on the clock she's gonna roll it for as far as it can go throws up with that that actually she got a pretty good look she did get a pretty good luck oh all right so that'll end this
first half and a great showing by Beverly you start out these season they're up 32 7 here on Winthrop and what what you got some points there for each Beverly players here ok so right now right now Brooklyn's actually the leader in points she has eight points right now Moreland though I would say is the all-around star she's has four rebounds so far in six points as well in this as an assist like I said she's been active she's been great you know passing she should be great rebounding scoring she's been playing to her defense like you said I'm Cisco there on the inside causing some frustration for the captain on the throw and then Delaney off the bench she gave you six points off the bench and arriba couldn't a smaller than that off
the bench so it's great diversity the attack here from Beverly it's been great it's been a great team effort the bench kept it going when the starters sure we're resting couldn't ask for a better first half starts yeah all right so good analysis there Dan thank you for giving me the points I came through both play by playing at the point so really appreciate it so we'll take a break here and then we'll get you back for the second half thirty-two seven the store right now Beverly in the lead you are watching Bev cam here anyone can come to the studio to make their own local TV show contact us with your idea we'll help you get started with producing your own show editing it and then we'll broadcast it to all of Everly for

happen you [Music] you listen took was someone who would insist that I just try suddenly everything was turned around because they judge you you tell them I don't need this no one is going to understand unless they've been through it how can they then one day you realize you feel so hopeless and need help I need help you feel so hopeless then one day you realize unless they've been through it how can they understand I don't need this no one's going to judge suddenly everything was turned around because they insist that I just try all it took was someone who would just listen [Music] everything starts out small the things that hurt us they all start from somewhere the words we say the things we do that can grow into something else what was small
and innocent can become big and sometimes scary all it takes is one comment one picture one video for something to catch fire but a big problem doesn't need a big response not at first we don't know what to say the eye emoji can be that first step we take let's all pledge to take that first small step together and change the world in a big way I'm a witness and so are you [Music] so you might not hear our response but if you want to queue us well welcome back here inside the Beverly gymnasium here on the campus of Beverly High School he got the second half of our first game of the season girls basketball Beverly High has had a strong start to this game has opened up an impressive 32 seven lead on
Winthrop picking up where they left off in the tournament last year and it looks like a much improved Beverly High School team yeah Moreland we were surprised the freshmen were starting good you could say she's been Beverly's best player she's been all over the court she's been rebounding spending with passing the ball she's played some great deep let'syou offensive franceska they're on but the team has played well the bench played well by Adelaide's break maybe you should see how they go see if the winter keeps up to the press could be a good experience so maybe that we can try to get some of the young kids who have had a chance we didn't get the planning board on the team lashes try to get the experience into a good environment [Applause] we've just been
informed - that the Beverly High School boys theme is playing roof up tonight is up 30 38 to 23 on them so right now it's looking like it might be a clean sweep Barth we saw the JV JV girls team beat them all so it right before this Beverly does have to keep up that intensity though I'm glad you mentioned that this game is not over I'm sure mr. Stansell down there is precedent for them right now I well where you double zeros here on the clock but the Winthrop team is m.i.a right now so we'll see what happened here this is this is an interesting thing I haven't seen this yet it's a bold strategy to polled strategy trying to mess with their heads I think they've alerted someone now to go go inside
the Winthrop locker room column speech was just too epic you cut into game time we knew at that time I think the key for Beverly though for the rest of this game though is just keep doing what you're doing though like I said they were playing very well on defense not committing any you know dumb penalties getting their hands on the pass it comes with him the Winthrop squad now I think we're bellies just keep it going don't change anything maybe you can rotate some of the players who might normally not get some time and get them on support first time it looks like that's what Winthrop is doing right now the only starter from I saw from the first entrance of this game is Maria door and that's it right now on the floor
what went on so Beverly even start with the ball here Audrey Ellis on the outside try the rifle it into Haley but it's not going to happen let's get tipped off the winter defenders hands and then off Haley stands right before it went out of bounds [Applause] we consult others outside inside [Applause] much like the first half this work has opened up the scoring here no press by whipped up earlier to catch at noon look for that rosy got on the outside that well gives it to a lesser Roosevelt background inside forgery now it's all just about at the top of the team tried to penetrate that gives it off to Bernard who tries to go inside right there contact there I don't know if it was a charge or something but nothing got called
play now a foul was called though see Alyssa Moreland back at the line for the third time tonight she's 204 I've got three or five 31 nine now as I mentioned before just all phases of the game Beverly's played well and they've done so what the line is well not that time though far less like we saw Haley open up the immature but they got the rebound Haley from the outside there to the air balls out run with another offensive rebound but eventually one that gets it back has to come down the wall by herself I can't see who that was he got back on defense there I looked like it might have been Tia who got in there on that job could you catch her that was another great defensive play by Beverly I
thought she was minimal hey easy easy bucket bag I don't know the fourth shot off balance for the wrap and pencil for gonna foul there [Applause] did he say white 42 they're 32 there is no 32 there's no 42 easily - yeah that would be TIA Bernard we're gonna guess right now that that foul was on each team a foul apiece right now in this half second shot up here for winter that's 31 new 11 hours for here unofficially though but from what I remember I believe that's a win for me second kind of alignment foul away from the ball it looks like so it looks like Winthrop has almost already abandoned the press completely yeah walking foul there but again the issue showed that believes that how much different verse they are in office
seeing the driving all rights away they had that open look on the previous positions and bounce to elicit down low working one-on-one beats were made easily I believe she was working against Capone again to it ELISA has won that match up over and over again Beverly what the man defense again is all over the place franceska tried to drive to the hoop that the help was there again so the Beverley defense or that sound they just spent so sounds it's the only way you can play the worse the bad pass there and they get it back Rosie gives it up to Sabrina working the offense passes it along the floor back inside looking for ELISA down low but it's stolen away from don't go by what's up princess Beth stop shoots air ball like Capone
is doing most of the work right now for Winthrop in this half on defense and offense well she had a pretty rough first half so I think she's trying to get off on the right foot I talked to the coach earlier they said that last year the offense kind of rode with the never game Fred susta had last year so but she's not gonna get going again see in the first half might be tougher this winter ball offense to get going as we've seen so far they're still trying to get the ball on the inside but they found a little bit more success to in there it looks like maybe what they're trying to do is get Capone not right under the new move a little side that's moving Moreland off underneath to as well
it's giving them a few more open looks underneath seen that I mean we don't put this worth 32:7 and right now Beverly has gotten just three when throws up to 11 in there so all the more successful last half the big killer for Winthrop was Beverly was beat in the press they've changed that Elias has had some success on offense but you know no press anymore you know moving around ball around Moreland is against little been active on the offensive bed though there's substantial on the screen right there talking to his players right now she's talking though it looks like Alissa directly right there I either get you're selling okay look remember how we got this big cute let's not get fancy keep playing the smart defects that's what that's what's what God is here
with the defense keeping them all score from the tough defense comes everything else to a more open offensive looks when you get steals and push the ball up the floor alright we're going to get things going now the inbounds pass you see whatever it's not gonna go and see over na gets the rebound this is it out Sabrina slowing everything down sitting in a half-court offense let's rosa dodge on the outside with the ball she gets trapped a little bit but she gets it out back - Rosie - Alisa Alta Tia from the outside decent walk not gonna go Haley an open look from three whoo it looked good out of her hands Tia thinks about the outside shop and how it drives inside all the way around perhaps the Beaudry back to Haley stop
shoots at the outside shooting again she does that dribble freeze stop and puts up beautiful shops he does that great that shot on the rung that she just freezes gets his defender to overrun and then puts up the jump shot what does she's up there deeper just about to repress anymore they're doing a lot of trapping now on that side of the ball they're still trying to force the turnovers and force Beverly in - mistakes happen Beverly's done a great job giving it two jobs no sound sound ball movement we saw it go from Gaucho to Beaudry back to gosh they were getting trapped a little bit but they got allowed to move the ball saw ta go all the way down side get the defense to cave in got it out to Haley she
couldn't get the first walk but she got the second a great job with the rebound great hustle getting to the ball not giving up on the play just so far just a complete game by this Beverly Squad stuff as them great work it looks like coaching up some of these returning players and this looks like a very different absolute starter yeah trying to take in an elbow maybe thinking a little more physical in the end of the first half there now looks like a bloody what he knows so rosy is out right now getting a little work done right now on their nose I think she I think she caught an elbow [Applause] Alyssa driving inside close right by the defender drive inside there by Capone and she draws the foul 12 points already for
this in this game and that is on Haley Anderson highly McCarthy is checking into the game now for Haley we saw her a little bit in the first half as he said she's another one of the freshmen who looks like she's going to get some playing time for this Beverly [Music] [Applause] four minutes to go here this third quarter shot up look baekje from way outside and nails up three and forty two twelve is our score the phone worked inside there but tossed it back out now she's working against kylie and a travel so Beverly get possession of the ball back Beverly just not give them anything on the offensive side that's great help on that great rotation can't ask for a better defense there I think that scored five points here in the second
half and three of them from the free-throw line okay Brooke on the inside tried to block that shot I think I think she hit her in the head would you call a real physical foul so Brooke is that the lie down 331 to go forty twelve our score the Panthers on top and Brooke that's the first one [Applause] and got some bold we chose shooting tonight for Beverly has been on point as well I get from this Beverly team there's not one weakness I wasn't really seen so far they did dominant in all phases of the game since the Charter tribes inside by herself they're at its wardo a she wanted a foul odor she had a little reaction there to the road she thought better of a shot air ball completely gone for a
jump ball and it goes to win throw [Applause] nice look there beautiful one pass of the inside went right up in a beautiful layer but a bit that's prettiest offensive system so far than anybody chances for certain times just works out perfectly well I thought she had someone over down there but Mitel off at the pass a little too much and he was stolen away by SIA let's Brooke at the top of the key Kylie drives inside oh she did I think Alissa took her eye off Kyrie there for a sec but you know Kylie was gonna take the shot that is a that is a Delanie Galena spray I just picked her teammate [Music] Haley checks back in the game we're facing Kylee McCarthy 2:14 then go here in this third quarter 4269 score
Northrop having a little more success here in this third quarter 42:17 I'll Park on the inbounds to Sabrina [Music] [Applause] he puts up a shot oh hello didn't go for a second but a little too strong Fatone grabs the rebound as it's tough when she tries to make the pass though yeah letting them fly pass goes out of bounds but it was tipped by it looks like it Chea via white hair has checked into the game now replacing Tia Bernhard shot from the outside from went through up to short and Sabrina Grasso rebound I said all the way up to Brooke and she couldn't control it so we'll go out of bounds and when took we'll get the ball back minute 28 here to go 4217 our score Beverly on top so we got Clea
another freshman another person to get some experience get a feel to the game we haven't seen rosey Josh back in the game by the way since some look that she took an elbow she's omnes done the bench doesn't she's fine I think oh that's not something I've ever seen out to she have an ice pack on that wrist [Applause] he's a little sloppy here I think winter plus kept a lot of their starters and to a little surprised by that let's see if they do something different here in the ER in the last order [Applause] we've got trapped for a second controlled it hallee from the outside again another three-pointer for hailey that's her second from beyond the arc you just can't give her an open look like that because she'll get it beautiful offensive
possession everyone throw up a nice bounce pass on the inside and you up that not a true layup but still kissed it off the glass hailey from the outside again just short that time I'm not afraid to shoot it though you got to get five seconds [Applause] look that good look close out that corner all right that'll bring this third quarter to an end Beverly still with a commanding lead they're up 45 to 19 it wasn't as crisp as the front the first half was but they did they kept mostly intensity of physicality was definitely other defense they stopped white they so I think I think Beverly got a little surprised and we've tried a little difficulty when they didn't have depressed winter trapped a little bit but then they seemed to go away from
that towards the end of the quarter there and if Everly seemed a little bit of trouble trying to get something going on the often talked a little bit to adjust but eventually they caved in the defense brought some outside looks for a leash at two three-pointers in that and that just speaks the diversity Beverly has on offense if you can get those shots on the outside and you have Moreland on the inside in Delaney that there's no defense to that there's no way you can can combat both lists so this is a great first showing for the game heading into our final quarter year Panthers have controlled pretty much all phases of game today looks like a very different team connection but as we mentioned in that tournament they look like especially on the offensive
side the younger players have turned that corner and I think they've done a complete turn in this corner and they looked it looked like they've arrived here today he's been able to do with last year they took their lumps this year it really does point they've learned from it they've got some freshmen that are so wind up starts with the ball here the Venezuelans fourth quarter Capelli slowly there but then drives to the inside and it's a big one so Brooke is back in the game real light hair is still in the game Bailey on the floor as well sabrina Beaudry and LED spread Clojure e and the inside layup won't go back inside white hair the defense drives there weren't there they are there now I'm not sure if that's just the personnel going
that's in there now Alissa is out she was the big presence she's all have a nice back on that wrist I believe she does I get the feeling she might not be coming back in I think I think you could probably say the same for Rosie she's on the bench with I think she took an elbow to either the lip of the nose so she was getting worked on with just a tissue but no need to put him back in the game at this point [Applause] 7:09 here the play 4522 our score the Panthers on top of the Vikings you go winter is getting desperate you know they're trying to get the turnover get those extra positions there's no other way to learn now we see the freshman tennis ball twice on some of those
that was it stolen away to get it back then Haley Sabrina controlling the ball there Silvia drives how's it go off her foot it looks like with a below recover sabrina decent walks layup a little too strong this offensive board jump ball yeah I think the last jump ball [Applause] [Music] [Applause] that's one more than first out bowl thing everything's been a little more congested all right 6:30 to go here in this final quarter 45:22 washboard he took his head basically all the success on offense here in this quarter so far back shot from the outside it's not gonna go was it all the way up to Brooke quick pass the inside the Haley that was nicely done that was nicely done great passing on both sides through it all the way up before the
Brooke and Brooke knew that she have as open as a shot as Haley and didn't panic didn't rush it nice beautiful bounce pass right to Haley she got an easy layup so Delaney in Haley have both checked out of the game now for Beverly let's stop mourn back in the game rifles one over to Brooke back to Beaudry's BF on the white side thought about a shot eventually gets it to broken back and there's Alyssa down inside do you see them swinging the ball on the outside they kept doing it until they got an open look on the inside for Alyssa beautiful steal by Marlon there is a 50 120 to me I almost got overly aggressive there on that one though doesn't meet the points and a rebound grabbed there by Beaudry reaching the
five-minute mark left to go in this game 51 22 Panthers on top of the Vikings [Applause] inside layup I can go gets her own rebound back and it's a foul [Applause] [Music] Cydney Anderson has also checked into the game now for Beverly this game really is it's it's gonna be such a momentum it almost like a jump from Beverly start season I wouldn't like this can really wipe away all last year the troubles they had especially starting out the season exactly so you don't have that feeling of you know here we go again right like cliches always the first ones the hardest you got the first one out of the way in the first game it could do nothing but build your confidence just on the line that's the first thing 4 of 7 from
the line for her tonight see if she can make it 5 of 8 here no not that time too strong that one hits the rebound back though how do they eventually give it up move over the ball and even 30 point lead when this game Beverly's passes all the way across court working in slavery just a shot I'm gonna go with John Paul and that'll go pretty sure we're certainly this time with Fitz yeah I believe the last one went to that button I didn't see a foul call either there's a little fist motion there dramatic pause if they messed up on the jump bar yeah I got that I think the game just kind of [Applause] so listen up back at the line here for Beverly just over four minutes to go now in
the game 5222 our spoiler she's 5 v @ 1 5 of 9 from the line now [Applause] so Brooke and we are check me out of the game into the game now is Shila barker alyssa can't get that it's not a foul call it should step out of balance [Applause] when throw-up gets the first one to go 5323 are scored four minutes to go in this game get some both [Applause] Alisa to Sydney Sydney shoot from the outside not that back jump all the salmon over Beverly [Applause] hi Leah McCarthy checking back into the game she would place this Sabrina's Audrey Johnson Barker from the outside not gonna go Alyssa perhaps it I believe it listen is the only starter left in the game and she draws the foul how many times you should get
her own rebound on that possession like two out two times those of the basket that puts her up to seven rebounds of the game oh my goodness the force inside right now Melissa Moreland as has been a major factor in why they have this lead and just a dramatic difference from last year this is her first attempt though on this one from the free-throw line she gets her second Beverly back out to an even 30 point lead system for 24 long jumper too strong to lay out this at Winterfell economy then outside again that's not going wrong most artists left on the floor by the way for Windows either [Applause] and now Alyssa Moorman will check out of the game [Applause] she complete rapping on that wrist socialist surprise she came back into first [Applause]
[Music] Beverly here bald that shot probably would gets good look no couple lot then if we can see how the second unit does here [Applause] jump all really just let them play earth day man they want the clock to tick down at this point oh the NBA no we happen to like what we're on all right I'm sure Kyrie gets that like this I don't even need to watch this all fits together Kyrie got this they pointed out on the other end at first we fix de realize what he did [Applause] Karolina Kinsella is still in the game for Winthrop that's their only starter left [Applause] I'm looking at five fouls for Beverly and not 616 fouls now for Beverly and five for Winthrop according to the monitor that I'm looking out for us the
one that we have here at the gymnasium though is saying five for Beverly so so I think we have a general consensus on Winthrop is double triple and the ball goes back to Beverly Barker on the inbounds pass to white hair and a travel call so weren't the will get the ball back still 5424 our score just a little under two minutes left to go in this in this game the long outside shot comes up short I don't know how she got out of there so cleanly with that wall I could not tell you Sydney pauses a bit gets it to go Sydney listen were a freshman that's like three corner 57 24 hours for infantile for the for you [Applause] [Music] [Applause] leather tangle up downloads I'm calling dagger butter 8 jump ball just
this quarter it's been a log on the wallet angle ops down line and every joke all its exceptional whoops done with them buries the door I know an official step the manpower update to try our album power gets the bucket to go 57 27:17 bow over bevel [Music] comes up short on a free throw there so that's I couldn't wait I'm gonna get the extra point account what that time as well let's go right here rock the ball a little out of control though can you stay in balance now it might not seem like much but I think this is kind of feels like a big defensive position it doesn't look good and they'll feel good to them nice save there by Lea sloppy passed out and then Lea reaches in and gets a power
and then Oh a little joy hmm things aren't interesting there for a second if you reach them they're 30 you don't need to do something like that steady the plane sighs let's do every sheet on [Applause] winters in the bonus right now no it wasn't looks like we is having a little bit trouble there at the box 5729 70 seconds left to go six five four three two one and that doesn't so Beverly [Applause] so 5729 our final here Beverly with a strong showing you see of us amoral in there on the screen she had a big game really one of the key differences that we saw from the offense laughs - this year you take her away from me what was Moreland's impact on this game Beverly is starting to making Coulee just like
a brother with 18 points seven rebounds in the game she had this she had two students as well she was the best player on the floor and talking about a little freshness on the game we said she was the best player on the floor big difference in this Beverly team well Beverly can starts the season off with a statement win they looked a lot but in the tournament last year they turned that corner they offer a complete team this year dominating wing 5729 Beverly takes this one over Winthrop they beat him again so other than Alisa what else did you see from the rest of the team just a just great team effort rebounding defense was great especially the first half they really just dominated get Winthrop only four points in the first quarter camp
them on to 30 for the entire game but he said the defense played great the bench played sledge played very well they kept the fouls down to a minimum in the first half the second half but they will is about turnovers follows you know that that's gonna happen I'm gonna get such a big lead kids they've got some important time in with the freshman and the sophomores it didn't get too much playing time so he couldn't avert it up under script for the absolutely not substantial gonna looks like a great job at this team they dominated all phases in this game 5729 our score the final Beverley takes the first game and from what I've seen I'm looking forward to what looks like it's gonna be a very good season of girls Panthers basketball this
is Dominic Lauren zono alongside Dan Lauren's on all we're signing off for this one we'll see you here again in a few weeks [Music]
