Thanks. >> I don't think Welcome ladies and gentlemen to East Long Meadow High School where the East Long Meadow High School Field Hockey girls team is going to be taking on the Green Wave of Greenfield. Greenfield stands at 5 and4. East Long Meadow at seven and two. big battle in the suburban uh league tonight. Uh East Long Meadow ended up beating Greenfield 5-0 in the first game of the season. However, Greenfield has shown some promise in the upcoming uh season here as they make a push. I'm joined by my good friend Johnny Martin. >> Hey, hey, hello everybody. Uh great to be back for another night of Spartan Field Hockey. A beautiful Monday night here at Spartan Stadium uh where we get a chance to to watch our girls East Meadow High School compete against

Greenfield High School. Happy to be here. >> So, East Long Meadows coming off of a loss uh a week ago, lost a tough one two to one, then came back and beat Minog two and ended up winning a contest out in >> a shot. >> Balls in the zone. Ava Pelgro trying to get at it. >> Oh, what a nice stop by to keep it in the zone. still in zone. Greenfield clears. So, it's a beautiful Monday night here. 67 degrees. East Long Meadow wearing red. Greenfield all in their white uniforms this evening. It's going to be a Greenfield ball coming in at around the 40 yardd line, it appears. Greenfield inbounds. >> Important to note that uh as of game time, we are these two teams are competing against one another with one official

waiting for the other to arrive. Looks like both teams agreed to get the game started with one official. Uh and so we're going to have to have to give this gentleman a break here from time to time as he's covering the whole field by himself. >> Yep. Ella Bailey trying to play some defense. Greta Lang sends it back. That's going to be ref says play on. >> Greta Lang going to play some defense down at the 20 yd line. Going to try to play to the outside. Greenfield defender coming on and Eastlung metal ball. Lang in bounds. >> Greenfield with an interception at the 20 trying to work the inside. >> Nice play. trying to get it. >> Ava Pelgro battling for the ball at the 40. >> First real opportunity for Greenfield was stifled

there by a good defensive effort. Uh and they're moving the ball into East LA Meadow zone again. >> So I think we got to talk about uh you know the last few games. Greenfield with a center coming out. He slung that ball. Um John, you know, from the last few games, the number of corners um that this East Long Meadow team um has come up with and uh really has to finish on the opportunity. I think there's a young team. They're going to learn how to do that. We're midway through the season now. So, they're coming into the meat of their their schedule. >> Yeah. I think I think just like anything else in sports, you want to take advantage of the opportunities that are presented to you. And uh as you said in the

last several games been lots and lots of uh opportunities to score. Uh but I think the the real positive in all this is how hard these girls have played and you can see a market improvement in their play every week. And that's what I love about watching them is that each and every time they come out and play, they get better. Speaking of getting better, you have uh freshman Ella Bailey out there who's uh always around the ball. It's going to be off uh Ava Pelro stick green field ball here around the 40 yd line. Waiting on a set. Looks like we're going to start at the 43 yd line here. Greenfield. But John, we're talking about it really quick. Uh tonight's a big game. Um, Greenfield coming in here looking to looking to do

some damage in the Suburban League and East Long Meadow trying to stay on top with Long Meadow. Like I said, they're coming into their meat of their their schedule. They got Westfield on Friday. Then they're going to go out Frontiers coming here uh on the 6th, a Monday night game at 7 o'clock. And if you recall, we lost that game four to two up there on the grass. I think, you know, every every game that these girls play is a big game. You you know, they they come out every week working to compete and uh there there are no easy games because everything you do is is you're trying to prepare for the postseason and you you got to do that one game at a time. So, there are no easy ones and the goal

every time they come out is to get better every time they play. So, I don't think there are any easy games. >> No, I don't think there are. Especially since they moved up from the Valley League. >> Great pass. >> Abigail Mian trying to work the middle. It's in the circle. Grace Sky Abig shot just off the left. >> Great attempt there. Great scoring attempt there by East Long Meadow. Save by the Greenfield goalie and it's coming back out. Nine minutes to go here in the first quarter on a beautiful night in East Long Meadow. >> The shot was by Mattie Seros. >> Greenfield pushed the ball up to the 40. It's going to be off Eva Pelgro's foot there. Ella Bailey coming up the field here. Looking for Abby man mean over to Guile.

Guile's in the circle. Guy with a shot. >> Another great save by Greenfield defender. That's two opportunities and two possessions here for Islan Meadow. Goal here is to keep the pressure on and get the ball back in the in the zone and good things will happen. >> Reed just sends it in. Greenfield ball coming out. >> I mean, we're going to look at our scoring leaders here in a second. Um Grace Guyle, who just hit the ball, um leads us with 12 goals this year. Greenfield coming up to the 50 yd line. >> Bailey sends it in to Guy. Guy on the right hand side. >> Bring it down to the 20. >> For those that are paying attention here, we do have the other referee that's joined us. So now we're at full strength

for officials. Able to cover the field much better for both teams. It's going to be outgoing ball here by Greenfield clears, but that's going to be an Eastong metal ball coming in. Lang's going to inbound that at around the yard. >> That looks like Gracie Martin inbounding. Denny >> Matty Ser's on the ball at the 30. She's going to try to get it over to look Bailey coming on. Greenfield pushing down to the 30 yd line. Down to the 20. Gracie Martin with a nice play on defense. Going to try to bring it down to the left hand side. Matty Sails trying to get there. Maddie looking for somebody. >> Nice pass. Maddie >> sails up to Pellegrino to the 40 into Greenfield territory now. Abby man trying to get it into the center. Feeds

it to Bailey just outside the circle. Okay, that's going to be East Long Meadow just outside the circle. Bailey takes it. does not waste any time and scores a >> fires. >> What a goal. Ella Bailey >> wasted no time off that inbound and we are up to an early lead. One- nothing Islam meadow with just under seven to go in quarter number one. What a shot by Ella Bailey. >> Yeah, she took that ball right in the middle, found the opening and shot it really good. Ella Bailey. Bailey. >> It's going to be her second goal of the season. Looks like we got Nor coming in. Uh looks like she coming for Grace Guile. Greta Lang up the middle here. Greenfield. That's just going to go out. Okay, so it's going to be Greenfield

coming in at the 25 yd line. >> That's an interesting call there. I thought that was OB on Greenfield, but apparently not. I missed that one up here in inbound by Greenfield to the corner and it's going to be out of bounds ball. >> Okay, one zero lead here with six minutes left in the first quarter. It's a promising start for this team in this battle here. >> Julia Gray, >> it's going to be a footfall. Denny on Greenfield. Julia is inbound. So, the ball's going to stay Spartan possession. >> Trying to get it a belly. She's looking for a receiver now. Comes down to the sideline to Pelro, but it's going to go off her foot. >> Just off her foot. Yep. >> Greenfield ball around the 45 yd line. Ref's going to have

her reset it. 44 yd line. She's looking for an open player. Looks like she's going to slap that down. Matty Ser's got a piece of it. Ella Bailey coming on playing defense here. Gendle Reed gains possession going down the far side. He slung metal ball again. Ella Bailey has the ball at the midmark of the field. Abigail man trying to put some pressure on there on the Greenfield side. Greenfield resets coming down to the Greenfield 25 yd line. >> That's a good play. >> What a good looking pass. >> Matty Sals bringing it up trying to get into the circle >> and does >> just outside defense by Greenfield there. >> Looks like an obstruction call there. It's going to come the other way. >> Obstruction on uh Pelgro there. gains possession, kicks it up

to Abigail Man over the Denald just outside her stick, but Kendall Reed's going to chase that down on the far side. >> Great hustle play. >> Two players with a reverse pass inside the circle. >> Abigail trying to get it in there. Matty with a shot. >> Looks like we got Pelgro trying to get at that ball. Look at this. Matty SS trying to defend there. Greenfield bringing it up the right hand side. Kicks it up. Grace Martin's going to gain possession of that. Kick it up to Ella Bailey. Ella Bailey's going to come on the near side far line sideline. Okay, she's got Mattie SS down in the corner. Ella Bailey still has possession of it. Greenfield's going to try work backwards here. Greenfield with a wide open field here. If she can look

down the right hand sideline, she has number 12 going down there. Grace Martin coming on defense. >> Shot on. >> What a save by Emma Mau. >> Emma Mau with a great save there. >> And it's going to be East Long Meadow Ball. What a great Denny. Take a minute. Catch your breath. >> Uh what a great save by Emma Mau. Then he should be, I mean, as awesome as he usually is, even better now. His glasses were just handed up here to the booth. Plus, I also want to give him 10 seconds to catch his breath. Uh, once he starts, it's difficult for him to stop. So, let's give him a second here. >> You let me know when you're ready, boss. >> East long metal ball coming at the 40 yd line. Looks

like Greta Langan's going to inbound this ball. >> Oh, nope. It's Greenfield ball. Greenfield going down into Ella Bailey is going to take the ball to the 35 yd line looking for Abigail Man. Nice stop with her stick and a move down the middle. >> It's a foot race here, Denny. >> Absolutely. >> And a corner. >> All right. >> First corner of the game for either team. >> Good hustle by Man on that play to cause that corner. First corner of the night. >> Outstand. That was outstanding job not just by man, but a great feed from the middle of the field. dumped it past the Greenfield defender and went to chase it. Uh created a good corner opportunity for Eastan Meadow. Let's see if we can capitalize on it. >> Looks like we

have Pelgro Reed Denalt Bailey's going to insert it. Grace Guile Nav on the outside with Grace Martin and we're waiting a whistle here. Julia Gray standing in back of Guile for the backup. That's going to go over to Guile outside the zone. It's going to pass it over to Reed who's going to take a shot in. >> What a shot >> just outside. >> And another East goal. >> That initial shot by Reed. Rebounded and goal number two for East Long Meadow. >> We're waiting on the official word of who got that goal. We're going to confer with the Spartan faithful here below us. >> Two nothing lead. >> Initial reports say Abby man off the shot by Reed. Saved by Greenfield goalie Abby Mian for the putback rebound goal makes it two nothing. East

under the two mark quarter number one. >> That's going to be Abby Me seventh goal of the season. Having a really good year. >> Grace Guile on the left hand side now. feed it over to Denalt. Denalt in the circle loses her balance >> and Reed's going to take it on the far side. Makes a spin move here to the outside. Feeds it into the circle again. Guy can't get her hand on it. Pelro coming over with defense at around the 12 yd line. It's going to be Greenfield ball. >> Yeah. Foot foul east middle. Okay. >> Oh, nice play by Pelgro at the 25 yd line. >> Chance for one more push here, Denny with a minute to go in quarter number one. See if he can't get the ball back into the green

field zone and get a good push here with a quarter to go. >> And Grace Martin has that ball at the 30 yd line. He's going to bring it to the near side line. Just out played two defenders. Feeds it over to Pellegro. Pelgro trying to get a handle on it. Just goes up her stick. So Greenfield inserts. Bailey coming on defense on the near side sideline here. >> Oh, excellent job on defense. >> Bailey. >> What a what a great job on defense there by Greta Lang. >> Bailey with a really nice play to Gray. Gray up to man's got some room up there. Scott Denult on the right hand side. Just misses but recovers. >> We got a shot here. Threeon one. on one here. Denalt Denalt's in the circle trying to make

a move and >> and a corner. >> So Denal creates a corner. It's corner number three, I believe, for the evening. Two nothing lead with two seconds left. So it's going to close the corner the quarter out for us. It's a good opportunity here. Looks like we got uh Pellegrino Reed, Denalt at the center, Grace Guy, Abby Mean on the side. Bailey's going to insert with Martin and Gray in the back. >> Got a great opportunity here with no time left in the quarter. Corner for East Long Meadow. See if we can't capitalize. >> And John, the rule is >> well, you can't you can't end the quarter on a corner. That's why you're going to see it play out here. >> Really good. Guy inserts shot on. >> What a shot. >> Recovers the

shot and man's just going to try to get it in there. Just off and that >> two or three opportunities off that corner for me. It's going to take us to the end of quarter number one where the score stands. Eto two, Greenfield zero. Quick break and we'll be right back. Ladies and gentlemen, we are back. Quarter number two, Monday evening at East Meto High School where the East Spartan field hockey team has a commanding two nothing lead going into the second quarter. Denny, your thoughts on quarter number one. >> Really good first quarter putting pressure on Greenfield. Greenfield's a tough team coming in here five and four. Uh, our girls responded really well to that loss after Long Meadow coming up with wins against Wuset and Minichog. Not sure how tonight was going to

play out, but so far so good. Uh, three corners on the on the quarter. Uh, and so they're passing very well. It looks very promising at this point. So, we're going to start the second quarter with Bailey Mian Reed, uh, Grace Guy, Matty Seros, Julia Gray, T Northern Looks like Gasparini's in the back with Langan and Martin at the defensive positions. Got two refs now. That helps. Uh, beautiful night here. Got a great crowd. >> Yeah, the girls are It's always great to see people turn out for these games. The girls are really well supported and I'll be honest, they should be. They represent everything that's right about being a student athlete. Great group of girls do well in the classroom, are inclusive of one another on the team. It's just it's fun to be

part of this program as these girls take care of one another and uh so they they should be supported when they come out to play because they represent this school and this community really well. >> Absolutely. So, Greenfield's going to lift the ball into the East Long Meadow zone. quickly refuted. Abigail man feeds over to Bailey. Bailey gets it intercepted by Greenfield trying to get around Bailey. I don't know if that's going to happen with the speed that Bailey represents here. Coming down. Matty Sles on the Knights defensive play. Bailey cutting in. She's going to try to get it to Bailey. However, no go there. 20 yardd line coming in. Matty SS recovers. Julia Gray right where she is always. Matty Ser coming up on the 30 trying to feed it in the middle to

Bailey. Bailey's battling for the ball. Makes a reverse pivot back into circle. >> What a move. >> Trying to look for somebody on the right hand side. >> Did you see how that is so impressive around two defenders to change direction with the stick and still have an opportunity to maybe get a shot on that? He's a special player to watch. >> Yeah. I mean, when you get it in the circle and you make those kind of moves, usually it ends up being a corner, um, which we talked about is, uh, is an opportunity to score. >> It looks like we got testing alt out there. >> Nora trying to make she's only your daughter, but that that I think is Nora. >> Well, Tess is at Bentley, I think. >> Well, it happens. >>

So, I'm almost positive that's Nora. >> But, I mean, it's your daughter, so you know better than me. Bailey in the circle trying to insert it. >> Guy just staying tenacious in the front of the net for goal number three. East Long Meadow three, Greenfield zero. Hustle goal by Grace Guy. >> Grace Guyle. I think that's goal number 14 on the season for her. >> Our senior leader out there really putting the pressure on Greenfield. Really good start. 3 nothing East Long Meadow with 13 minutes left in the quarter. Matty Sos really putting some force on the left hand side though. They cannot get it by her. She's going to bring it through two defenders. Greenfield intercepting. Bailey on still Greenfield ball. >> Wants her to put it back. >> It's got to go way

back to the 40. Great team effort so far by East Long Meadow. Three to nothing lead. Change of possession. East meal ball. >> Yeah, I mean the second quarter. The word that comes to my mouth is my mind is crisp. They look crisp tonight. >> Matty Ser coming on the near side trying to play some defense. Lang's going to be off her foot. >> Yeah, she tried really hard too to put herself in a position where it wouldn't hit her foot, but Nonetheless, it did. And uh inbound by Greenfield. >> Julie Gray coming on just off her stick. Grace Martin on the left hand size with a reverse move trying to get it out of there. Recovers coming down the sideline to three players. Gets it out to Mattie Sos who's going to feed Guile.

Guile's at the 50. He's going to feed it over to Reed with a move at the >> 30 Reed does not waste any time. Kicks it out to Denalt on the right hand side. Dump makes a move on the inside trying to get it into Reed. Reed's going to fire one in >> and that's going to be a dangerous call maybe because it was up high on number five for Greenfield. >> Denny, just a just a question for clarification now. The Denal that's out there right now. Is that Tess or Nora? They're your daughters. So, I just wanted to check. Tess, I believe Tess is in college playing and I believe Norah's playing here, but I just wanted to check. I mean, you are their father. >> Yes, I know. But, as you know, when

you have two girls in one house, the names are never right. So, it's not going to change out here while I'm on the air either. >> Fair point. >> Okay. So, looks like East Long Meadow coming out putting the pressure on. Second quarter with 11 minutes and 5 seconds. Julia Gray is going to take that ball at the 25 yd line. Look for an open player. He's going to dribble it up to the 20. Comes over to Lang. Langan's looking for somebody. Greenfield number four with a nice play there. Bailey on defense. Julia Gray stops that ball. at the 15 yd line trying to get it over to Mattie Sels. >> Julia Gray. Awesome. Always around the ball. Always. >> Matty Sals inserts it. Bailey's coming on. Number five coming down the middle. 20 yardd

line. Greenfield's trying to get it into the East Long Meadow circle and just off 12's foot. So, that's going to be East Lung metal ball coming out and the ref is going to double whistle, which means put it back to where uh I think she's he's going to have her put it at the 10 yard line, I believe. Looks like Gwen Gasparini's over there. He's going to give it back to Greg. Gray's at the 15 yd line looking for an open player. Slap shot down the middle. Intercepted by Greenfield. Greenfield on the near side. Matty Sals on defense. Oh, that was a close call. Good try by Saroso to stop the ball. Lifts it into the long to the East Long Meadow side and just out. So, East Long Meadow ball coming out. So, Greenfield

here putting a little bit of pressure on East Long Meadow. Julia Gray over to Grace Martin. Grace Martin has it deflected at the 15 yd line. A reverse pass in the circle for Greenfield >> and a corner. >> Okay. Greenfield corner. >> Looks like >> I don't love moving the ball in front of the net, Denny. We talk about that every week. Uh typically when you try to clear the ball in the front of the net, you you run the risk of it being intercepted like it was. Greenfield having an opportunity to get a shot on net, which results in the corner. We want to try to clear the ball away from the front of the net if possible. I know that's something Coach Reed is is adamant about as well. So unfortunate error. Hopefully

we can defend strongly here and get the ball cleared out. Greenfield waiting to insert. Greenfield inserts top of the circle. Goes through the Greenfield center. They got a fouron one down here. Oh, really good play by uh >> would have been a great break for East Law Meadow off that corner. >> That's a foot. >> That's going to be off Matty S's foot. It's going to be Greenfield ball. >> That happens. It happens >> About a hundred times a game. Exactly. I I tell you I don't know how they keep it off their foot as much as they do. John, it's a lift into the zone. Dangerous coming out East Long ball. So Greenfield uh eight minutes left in this uh quarter has has put a little bit of pressure on East Long Meadow here.

John >> Y >> Denult coming across the middle. Denult's going to look for somebody. She's going to carry the ball near side. Great pass. Great pass by Denal to move the ball down towards the green field end. Another great pass. What an outstanding pass to the circle over to Abby man. Abby man over there. Reed with a shot. >> Goalie clears Denalt on the far side. Denalt takes it back into the circle. Greenfield defends. However, Gray right there to stop her in her tracks. Bringing it back into the circle. foot just outside the zone. East Long Meadow ball. So Gray's going to take that ball. Got another opportunity to play it in the circle here. Matty Seals got the ball here trying to get it over to Bailey. Bailey and does. Kendall Reed's going to

insert that ball just outside coming in. East Long Meadow ball from the 25 yd line. Okay, so now now East Long Meadow has some pressure on John. Yeah, that that was a great exchange down there. Shot just went uh wide right of the net and uh hopefully we keep the ball down in Greefield's end and get a scoring opportunity here. >> Reed Reed slipping into the zone here. >> Great pass up front. Great pass up front. >> Oh, corner. >> Corner. Okay, >> going to be a foot foul against Greenfield. Results in a corner for East Slime Meadow. under the seven minute mark here in the second quarter and uh scoring opportunity here for East S. >> We got a score of uh three-0. Looks like we're going to have Denal Reed Sel Guile in

me on the circle. Martin backing up with Gray and Ela Bailey insert here. Let's see what happens here. Coach Reed sending in the play. Bailey inserts over to Guile outside the zone. Guy's going to go over to SOS who's going to put one in. Denalt with a reverse shot. >> What a shot by just missed. >> Great save by Greenfield goalie. >> That's going to be East Long Meadow ball down here. >> What a shot by Denal. I didn't know she had it in her arsenal, but she does. Great save by the Greenfield goalender. >> Really good shot there. Good opportunity. East Long Meadow keeping it down in the zone here. It's going to go off Reed's foot. All right, far side. Uh they're on the 25 yd line. going to bring it up. Number

five for Greenfield. Five minutes in the half left. Lift that ball. Tell you, Greenfield's really good at lifting that ball. Greenfield with a breakaway here. >> Greta Langden. >> Great job by Greta Langan to be right where she should be. >> Yes, smart play there just to let it go outside. Don't put up in front of the goal there as long ball coming back >> or not. No, it's going to be a Greenfield ball coming in from the 25 yd line. Uh, so that was a really smart play by Langon there outside here. Greenfield's got it on a near side. Langden. >> Oh, excellent. >> Julie Gray looks like a little obstruction play there. That's okay. Greenfield backs up, comes back in, makes a move down the end line, makes another move. Reverse. reverse pass

and Greenfield struggling for corner corner. Uh 446 left in the half. Um this is >> corner number two, I believe, for for Greenfield, right? >> I'm not sure. Some some good pressure on that exchange by Greenfield, though. And >> uh as you said before the game started, it's going to be a competitive battle and uh Greenfield's not going to go quietly. And that exchange down there was a good example of that. Greenfield to insert. Goes to the right hand side of the circle. Girls going to bring it back in. Emma Mau kicks that out of there. Greenfield's going to recover at the 20. Insert it back. Center it just by the goal. >> See what we got here. >> Close call there for Long Meadow. It looks like it's going to be East Middle. Ball

coming out. Long metal ball. Gray to inbound it. Looking for somebody. Slap shot down the middle. Looks like she's got Gray Skyle here. Grace Sky is going to take it to the near side sideline at the 45 yd line. Work down the sideline. Greenfield trying to defend against her. Grace going to feed it over to Ella Bailey. It's going to go through. Abby man's going to pursue that ball to 35. Greenfield's just going to clear it up to midfield. Oh, really nice play by Greta Langan. >> Really nice poke by Greta Langan. Slows everything down. It looked like it was about to break open there. Three minutes left in this half. >> Matty Sals comes right up. Oh, we got a call there. Okay, it's against Gray at the 20 yardd line. Julia trying to

play some defense there for bringing it around. >> Julia Gray. Excellent play to clear the ball. What a great job there by Julia Gray to clear the ball out of the East Law Meadow end. >> Okay, that's Greenfield. The ball at the 45 yardd line coming in. Two minutes left in the half. Three nothing lead. Greenfield pressing. >> Let it go. >> Let that go. You know, John, I noticed they lift a lot. You know why? It's because they think they play on grass, so they have to learn how to lift that ball out of the grass. >> Yeah, they they do do it a lot. more than I've seen in other teams and they do it effectively. But uh that could could be why a great pass there off the stick of G. It's

going to be Greenfield ball as we approach the two-minute mark. First half of play here where the score stands east three Greenfield zero. Greenfield's going to insert at the 45 yd line heading into East Long Meadow territory looking for an open going to back reset there with great pressure. >> Going to try to put some pressure on Abby Mian takes that ball. He's going to feed Denal down the center. Denult's got oneonone here. He's going to look to reset it here over to Ella Bailey. Ella Bailey on the right hand side. That's in the zone now. Ella Bailey has the ball in the zone. looking for >> and a corner >> gets one. >> Denny, what I love here on that insert, the pressure we put on them right off of that insert, I thought

was great. Right. >> Yes. >> Uh with your Greenfield, you're expecting just a smooth pass on the insert and having a chance to move the ball down the field. We put some initial pressure on that insert and results in now a corner for Islam Meadow as we get towards the end of the first half. So great job, great coaching there, great execution on the part of East LA to turn something that should have really been an offensive surge for Greenfield into a corner for for East LA. Great job. >> Yeah, that was a really good possession for the Spartans. Now hopefully they can capitalize on it. Bailey goes into Guile outside the zone. Guy's going to take it down the right hand side. Try to give it inside to somebody. Someone's there. >> I can't

see who it is. We're going to have to wait. Well executed corner by Islam Meadow. Uh we're going to have to wait on the word for for the goal. >> Anyways, it's going to be 40 Islam Meadow. >> Uh we're getting initial word that it was either either one of the denauts even though one is in college. >> Uh so it could have been either Tess or Nora. We're not sure. >> We we'll defer to their dad on that one who still thinks he's in Oxford, Mississippi at a football game. We just got off the plane about 30 minutes ago, so bear with us folks. >> Who do we get for a goal on that? >> Abby man. Number 13 with a goal on the right hand side. >> Abigail. >> So Gu's going to

take it at the 50. Lift a really nice shot over to man. Man's chasing down the green field player in the near side. Grace Sky's going to stick it out. Grace is going to take that. >> Oh wow. Okay, tough call there. Pelgro just off her foot. Greenfield's got the ball at the 40. Slap shot down. Looks like Grace Martin's going to field that. Let's come to the near side sideline looking for somebody down there. Intercepted by Greenfield. >> Okay, seven seconds left. Hopefully we can close this half out with a four nothing lead. >> That's going to do it. going to do it. And that's a really good first half by the East Long Meadow Spartans in the Suburban League battle. >> Great, great way for East Long Meadow to come out tonight. Uh

both sides of the ball, offensive possessions, they capitalized on them on defense. Uh great, great job in our own end when they needed to come up with some defensive stops and we will see you all uh at the start of the second half. >> Thank you. Welcome back to East Long Meadow High School where the East Long Meadow Spartan field hockey team is leading the green wave of Greenfield four to zero. We're going to start the third quarter here in a minute. East Long Meadows be going from left to right. Greenfield is going to be going right to left out in the field. Looks like Reed, Olivia Roberts at center, Grace Guile, Mattie Sel, Ela in the midfield, Ava Pelgro on the near side midfield. Grace Martin, Julia Gray, Greta Langden, and Wen Gasparini to

start the second half. And here we go. John, >> excited for another great half here. >> Greenfield carrying it down to the 40 yd line. on defense. She's going to inbound this ball. Looking for an open player. Looking for an open player. Lifts a really nice pass to Bailey just outside of her reach. Greek field recovers bringing it down the middle of the field towards East Long Meadow Zen. That's >> it's going to be no goal well outside the zone. Smart play by Emma Mau. It's going to change possession ball. >> Really smart play by Emma Mau freshman. Oh, great dump there by Julia Gray. Let's see if we can't capitalize on it here. >> Greenfield putting a little bit of pressure on East Long Meadow early in the third quarter. >> Indeed, they are.

>> You know, and I think that's an important thing that we have to emphasize here is a young team here. You got to keep the pressure on through four quarters, not just two, four quarters. And I think they learned that lesson along Meadow. >> Yeah. And I think, you know, coach coach Reed does a great job of emphasizing that with the girls. You got to finish games and whether it's a four nothing lead or or a one to one game, you got to play every minute like it's the most important one of the season because they are. >> They absolutely are. In this league, John, it's a every game uh unlike last year where we were in the Valley League, every game is a challenge here for for the title here in the in the

Western Mass. >> No question. And that's what you want. You want to compete. You want to play against the best teams in the area and uh that's how you get better. That's how you get better as a team. That's how every player gets better as individuals. You want to compete against the best. >> Greenfield making a little push inside the circle. Number four trying to do something with it through the legs. That's going to be a corner. >> Yeah. Middle defender's foot there. I saw saw it from up here. So that's going to be uh as you said, Denny, it's going to be a corner for Greenfield. Um, uh, as East Long puts her mask on, I'm looking at Greta Langan, Julia Gray, Grace Martin, and Gwen Gasparini going to be coming out of that

cage charging the inserted ball. Uh, once she does it, I mean, it's uh, it's really a challenging thing to come out and challenge that. Greenfield's going to insert with a slap shot in. Emma Mau with a save >> and a rebound goal for Greenfield. >> Okay, so >> off the corner, tremendous slap shot by a Greenfield player. Rebound and a put back goal for Greenfield makes it four to one >> with 12 minutes and 18 seconds on the clock in this third quarter. Greenfield gets on the board. >> But to your point, uh they came out a different team here to start the second half. So now we need to match that energy and emotion uh as as we put a drive together on our own. >> Gracie Grace Guy with a slap shot out.

>> It's going to be a Greenfield ball coming out. >> I thought that went off of Greenfield stick, but I am wrong. Looks like Greenfield's going to put that ball on the 15 12 yd line about >> ref says put it back to the >> 12 yd line. >> So we'll see how the sea meadow team responds. >> That's a foul on Guile green field ball. Greenfield Readington insert at the 15 yd line. Lists it out. Julie Gray with the ball at the 40 yd line. Going to look to come up field. Makes a nice move. Intercepted by Greenfield. Greenfield making a push down to the >> really good example there is when you have, you know, open open players. I'd love to see less less dribbling, more passing. get the ball into our offensive

zone so we can try to make a play. >> Greenfield making a move into the zone just outside. So it'll be East Long Meadow Ball coming out. 4-1 lead East Long Meadow. Gray to inbound it. Just going to slap it down the middle over to Olivia Roberts with the ball here at the 50 trying to gain access to it. Greenfield. Nice play by that number three. Went through three Slang Meadow defenders there over to Ella Bailey takes that. However, so to me, Denny, they just they our girls look like they've started the half a little flat if I'm being honest. Sometimes you sit on a four nothing lead and you don't realize that the other team doesn't view it as a four nothing lead. They're coming out to play and win. And so, uh, It's

concern. You know, you don't want to come out flat. Nice, nice play there by Grace Martin. >> Ella Bailey with the ball to 35. Loses possession. >> Greenfield moving it up to the 40. Ava Pelgro just going to knock it out. Get a reset here for the defense. Catch their breath. So, Greenfield's going to inbound it here at the 30 yardd line. Kendall Reed's going to come up, play some defense here. There's that lift. Greenfield player down at the 40. >> Pelgro with a really nice defensive play. However, called for a stick infraction it looked like. So Greenfield ball at the 40 yd line. East Long Meadow side of the field. Kendall Reed up front. There's a lift. Ella Bailey. >> What a great stop by Ella Bailey. Eyes on the ball the whole time.

>> Really good play. >> Good opportunity here. put the ball in a great place. >> Oh, it's going to be green field ball. >> Yeah, that one I don't understand. It looks like it may have been a foot foul. I didn't see it from here, but in either case, you're right, Denny. Greenfield ball it is. >> So, it's on the Greenfield side uh of the field. Let's see if East Long Meadow can hold him down there. Pelgro's got it to the near side. Quick pass up to Reed. Reed down the middle to Bailey. >> Bailey down the middle here trying to get Olivia Phillips. Gets it knocked back. However, gains possession of it. That one's over to Phillips in the zone. >> Phillips in the zone with a really nice pass >> over to Grace

Guy just outside. >> Looked like a goalie got a pad on it. It's going to remain Islam metal ball. There was a good shot there on net. It was hard for us to see it from here, but there was a shot on net, Denny. I think a good save by the Greenfield defender and it's going to stay East LA ball. >> Yeah, that looked like a really good exchange between Spartan players. Started at the 35 yd line trying to work it back into Greenfield zone. However, turns it over to Greenfield ball here. So, that was a promising exchange of plays. Greenfield's going to clear it. Grace Martin's going to take it over to the near side. She's going to try to get it to Pellegrino. Pellegrino has it on the right hand side. Going to

work the sideline. Greenfield gets a stick on it. Olivia Phillips on defense there. Greenfield moving it up the middle of the field. Greta Langden play down there by Greta Langan. >> Number six. >> What a nice play. >> Really good play by Greta Langden >> in perfect position to make that stop and advance the ball for East Meadow. >> Well done. >> So important to have good defender. So important. So important. So Mati's going to inbound it. She's going to go over to Pelgro. Pelgro's going to put it through the green field foot. >> Yeah, it hit her foot. So, >> I don't know if that was footfall or a push. >> That was that was footfall. Looked like >> Gray down the middle. >> Going to go out. All right. So, that's keeping it

down the green field side at this point. Six minute mark and 56 seconds. Four to one lead. East Slung Meadow. And I see a bunch of players on the sideline. I think that you know the junior varsity came up with a big win today against Greenfield as well. >> Uh we came in a little late so I'm not sure what the final was on that Denny but I'll take your word for it. >> I want to say that it was four to zero and you know John the JB you know program uh they need to be recognized as well. Uh they come out here and work really hard. They have to go you know I mean there's no break in this program. These kids have to come out here and work and work and these

are >> Yeah. And the the JV uh the JV team is always always always super competitive. They feel a team with a lot of eighth graders which I think speaks to uh you know giving these kids a challenge while they're still in middle school acclimating to the culture of the program. I think just a great idea all around. It's great to hear they got a another win. >> Yep. I was able to see the long meal game. The kids look like they're coming along nicely. Hadley Goldman, uh, Khloe Sweeney, Isabelle Maza, eighth grader, Mattie Olazinski, an eighth grader, Mia Rizzo, uh, Ariana Bond, eighth grader. Juliana Baker, eighth grader, Jeppe Santelo, ninth grader, Catelyn Fitzgerald, Brooke Pelnik, eighth grader, Llaya Petite, Sophie Santelo, Stara McDonald, and Abby Kners make up the JV team. They need

to be recognized. I appreciate you going through that roster and uh it's great >> and we are going to recognize him. It's hard. >> Well, we we just did and you just did and I think it's outstanding. >> Well, Greenfield putting it into the zone here. It's going to be looks to be East Long Meadow Ball coming out. So, five minutes left in the third quarter in this this contest on a Monday night. Julia Gray. Oh, >> Kendall got a chance >> opportunity here with Denal. Denal can do something with it. She does make a move down the right hand side. Going to feed it to Kendall Reed in the right hand side. Cutting over to the middle. >> Kendler Reed. Two defenders on >> back. Pass just intercepted by a Greenfield defender. >> Great.

They had a great setup there. Great opportunity. Oh, and Miss Bailey picks it right off. And again, an exchange. >> Well, Greenfield is not going away. What a what a super competitive third quarter for Esau Meadow and Greenfield. Early goal by Greenfield certainly I think has woken up our girls a little bit here in this third quarter. >> All right, so there's four minutes left in the third quarter. 4-1 lead here by the Spartans. Greenfield has about the 45 yd line. Lifts it over to the 40 yard on East Long Meadow side. Julia dribbling down doing a dribble. Uh the ref's going to call it. That was dangerous because it was above her knee and uh a lot of unhappy people in the stance. However, it's going to be East Long Metal Ball coming out.

>> No, it's actually not. A corner for Greenfield. I don't know. I don't know why, but uh the result of the play was a corner for uh Greenfield. >> Okay. So, the play is over. Uh but Julie, if we look at it, uh >> sometimes they'll call if it goes above their knee. Uh really nice play by Julie Gray. Looks like we're gonna have uh looks like Grace Martin outside the cage here is going to be the point person. Um trying to play defense. Greenfield inserts. It's going to come outside the zone. Oh wow. Okay, another corner instruction called. So we'll line up and do it again. Believe it's corner number three of the half, isn't it, John? >> Oh, I don't I don't know. Uh I would say at least that. >> Greenfield to

insert. Goes to the center mark outside the zone. Brings it back in the zone with a slap shot. >> Struggling for it goal. >> Looks like it's going to be off the rebound on the corner. >> Another goal for Greenfield who scored two in the third quarter alone with just under three minutes to go. And if needed or needs a wakeup call, I think it's going to come right now. >> 100% you're right there. Um four to two. Third quarter, two minutes left. East Lung Meadow with the ball. Grace Sky at the 50 yd line. Going to get down to the 40 on the far sideline. Looking for some help. Two defenders on her. Looks to reset back to Matty Sals. Matt S's going to come across the center of the field looking for Denult

on the right hand side. Just loses it. Greenfield recovers. >> Great hustle by Denal to get back there and defend. >> Ella Bailey on defense. Ella Bailey is not going to wait any minute. Just take that ball up the middle of the field. >> Look, Ella's going to use her speed. Keep it down in this zone. There's two minutes left. Kendall Reed coming on pursuit on the sideline here. No call. slung metal ball at the 20 yd line. Kendall Reed looking for someone to open trying to get it over to Ella Bailey. However, it's intercepted. >> Greta Lang is going to grab that ball. >> He's going to bring it up the far sideline. Really nice play outside there >> again. Staying with it, >> looking for help. Has help from Sel's down to Guile.

Guy on the far sideline. Guy heading down into the corner. Looks to center it over to Denal. Denalt's on top of the zone looking to keep that ball. She's going to come to the near side, make a move to the inside. He call on Denalt. >> No call on Greenfield. It's going to be slung with a ball. >> All right, at the 20 yd line going in towards Greenfield. 1 minute 23 seconds left. Over to Gray. Gray trying to do something with it. Gray stabbing at the ball. Greenfield comes up with it. >> Looking for the far side player out there. Langan again on defense. Going to stay with it. Greenfield moving down the far sideline looking for somebody. Looks like Gracie Martin's going to come up with that. Greenfield still putting the pressure on.

That's going to be into the zone here. And a shot and a score. Four to three. That was What do we got here? Is there a controversy of some sort? No, that's a goal. >> There's no controversy at all. That's a goal. And uh >> we need to uh Esau Meadow's going to need to to uh have a far better fourth quarter than they have third. Uh I tell you, we saw right from the beginning of the third quarter, Greenfield came out to play and uh they didn't care that it was a four nothing lead. They came out to play and they came out to win and we have not matched that energy and we need to and if we don't uh we're going to be in trouble here as this game progresses. >> Well,

let's hope so. And all coming down the far right side trying to get it to Reed. Reed loses the ball at the 35 yd line. Greenfield trying to center it. Gray with the ball. Reverse pass over to Sel. Slow's going to Bailey. Baileyy's going to go over to Guile. Guile over to Bailey. Oh no, that's Man in the middle there. Man's on the left hand side trying to do something with it. >> Oh, what do we got here? Oh no. Greenfield ball. Greenfield ball. So there's 14 seconds left in the third quarter. Greenfield clears here. Gracie Martin's going to take it near side with six seconds left. >> Try to get out of this quarter here and reset for the fourth quarter. So John, four to three fourth quarter. This is what you played. This

is the Suburban League. >> Well, it's it's also it's also indicative of how Greenfield showed up in the third quarter and how we showed up in the third quarter. Uh we we love these girls. much as anybody. But when you know sports and you've watched sports and coach sports your whole life, it's very very easy to observe the energy of of two teams and one team in the third quarter played with a lot more energy and passion than the other team. And if we don't match that passion and match that energy and match that work ethic in the fourth quarter, we're going to be in trouble here. The good news is we go into the fourth with a onegoal lead. Uh we're capable and should win this game, but we're going to have to play

much better in the fourth quarter than we did in the third. Coach Reed knows that. Every girl on that team knows that. And so, let's hope they reset here. Come out in the fourth quarter uh with a with a much better showing than they did in the third. Their first half of play was outstanding, Denny. I mean, dominated all facets of the game in in the first half. Uh the third quarter, Greenfield came out and they came out ready to play. And uh now they've got momentum going into the fourth. And so, this is what separates good teams from great teams. Let's see what Esau Meadows made of here in the fourth quarter. Not just to hold on to the onegoal lead. Uh but to end this game in convincing fashion. >> Yeah. So you

got 15 minutes to decide. Um a loss here would put Greenfield right in the mix for uh >> Yeah. We're not going to discuss a loss here. At least I'm not. But uh >> I know you're doing your due diligence as a broadcaster here, but uh I'm not going to walk down the road of a loss. We just need to play a better quarter than we did the last. And I'm confident that we will. >> Well, some teams looking Some teams looking downhill. We're going to have to see who's hungry here in 15 minutes. Um I think we play Westfield on Friday up in Westfield on the grass there. Defeated them earlier in the season. >> Is that the next one for our girls? Friday afternoon. >> Yeah, it's Friday afternoon 4:00 up at Westfield.

So here we go. 15 minutes to decide this contest. East Long Meadow outplayed Greenfield in the first half. However, things have changed in the second half. Things are intense here in East Long Meadow. Looks like we got Greta Lang Reed Seros Quinn Gasparini Denma Mau in goal huddling at the 40 yardd line getting their strategy up. Ella Bailey's going to be in the middle and the ref we are awaiting the whistle here. Greenfield's going to start the ball and just loft it into East Long Meadow territory. Go to Langan takes it up the middle. Gets it over to Reed. Reed's coming down to the 50 yd line. Makes a move. Intercepted by Greenfield. Ella Bailey stabs at it. Greenfield ball moving on the East Long Meadow side. Matty Sles has the ball. Going to kick

it up to Guile. Guy with the ball. Going to try to get it to me. Intercepted again by Greenfield. >> Yeah, these these uh young ladies from Greenfield look like an entirely different team in the second half. Entirely different team. Sometimes, you know, you travel that distance, you watch Jave uh play first, it takes you a little bit a little bit to get going and get warmed up. And I'll tell you what, I don't know if it took him a half or what, but they came out a different team in that third quarter. >> So, we need to we need to respond accordingly. >> Grace Martin puts it up to the middle of the field trying to get it to Bailey. Bailey playing defense. Greenfield moving into the zone. Number four with a shot here.

Looks like Gray is going to try to get it up to Reed. Reed's going to get it to 40. Push it down to Abby Man down to the 20. Greenfield recovers with man in pursuit of her. There's a battle bone on the sideline here. Greenfield's going to slap it to the far side of the field by that young lady. >> Greenfield making a move here. >> They sure got three on two. >> Grace Martin on defense comes up with the ball. Back to Greenfield. Advantage Greenfield here. Grace Martin. Really nice play by Grace Martin. Defensively going to slap that ball down the field trying to get it to Guile. Ella Bailey comes up the the 40. He's going to move down the field. Has some room. Makes a move. Makes a move down to the

far side of the field to the 30 down to the 10 trying to get somebody in there. But Greenfield. >> Oh, she stays right with it. >> Grace Sky has that ball in the zone. They're in the zone. >> And a corner for East Long Meadow. Little life back for East Long Meadow here. Here we go. >> Now, can we capitalize on this? We need to capitalize on this. So, >> good opportunity for the Spartans to go up by two goals here. Okay, Bailey's going to insert it to me. Looks like Denalt, Guile, Gray in the back, Sar and Reed, as well as Martin in the back. Greta Lang's at the 50 yardd line with the other Greenfield players going to play in the back. As the Greenfield players dawn their masks, we'll be awaiting

the whistle here. This is a big opportunity, John. >> It sure is, Denny. And uh it's just nice to see a little bit of uh offensive energy here and an opportunity here for the girls. Let's hope we can capitalize. >> Bailey to insert to Guile off Guile's stick. Guile trying to bring it over. Matty Ser stick. >> There's a shot in there. >> Looks like meadow. >> I think it was Norah Denalt. Was it Denal number 20 on the goal to make it 5-3 East Long Meadow? We needed that one bad, Denny, after a tough third quarter. And and uh not a great start to the fourth. Man, did we need that bad to get some momentum back for East Long Meadow. >> Spartans lead five to three with 11 minutes and 53 seconds left

in this game. >> Score by number 20, >> Nora Den. >> That's her first goal of the season. Uh what an awesome thing for Nora. So her first goal as a varsity player, true freshman Norah Denal getting on the board. I love it. So happy for her. And puts East LA up five to three. Really important goal in a game that was was uh did not go our way in the third quarter. >> And according to you, it's important that I got her name right. So Greenfield's got the ball. >> Grieffield's got the ball. Ila Bailey is playing defense on the far side. Uh two goal lead here with 11 minutes. Spartan showing some life here. Looks like that is going to be off Lang and on the far side. Greenfield ball at the 45

yd line. Um she's going to put that ball down probably around the 44 yardd line heading into East Long Meadow territory. Lifts one into the center of the field. No dangerous call there. Uh Greenfield player has it trying to work into the zone. Langing sticking her stick in there. That's a play by >> Julia Gray. >> Really nice play by Julia Gray. >> Outstanding play by Julia Gray. >> Just goes off Sarah's foot just outside the zone. >> Uh just outside the zone. Now John, do they have to carry it five yards when they're inside the 25? Yes, they do. She carries it five backwards. Now forwards into the zone with a shot. Shot blocked. Greenfield struggling. Gray on her. Grace Honor out of the zone. Shot in again out. Looks like that is coming

in. Greenfield ball at the 25 yd line. >> Tough to tell. The exchange happened so quickly, Denny. I'm going to be honest with you. I don't I don't know which way it's going. >> All right. Well, he made the he made the motion for Greenfield to bring it into the 25 yard line. Uh so that was a good defensive stand by the Spartans there. Uh we got 10 minutes and two seconds. The clock is running two lead here in the fourth quarter. Greenfield trying to get it down to the East Long Meadow zone with a great defensive and taken right back. >> Looks great by >> to move the ball back into Greenfield territory. >> She's got to be looking for Denal. However, it hits Greenfield. But >> she stays right with it. >> Le

Bailey with the ball to 30. makes a nifty move. Call East Long Meadow. No pause in Elaba though. She's going to be going over to Matty Sos at top of the zone here. >> Matty Sos fighting for the ball in the zone. >> Corner Long Meadow. >> We need it. >> All right. We do need it. >> Shift the momentum here a little bit and capitalize off this corner. >> Yep. So, nine minutes left in this game. 53 again. Uh we're going to have the same lineup. Ella Bailey's gonna be inserting it to me and Guile gray Matty Serl's Reed and Denalt on the side. Uh I'm not gonna I'm gonna say a Bailey inserts it and not say another word. The next word should be goal out of my mouth. Either that or you

just take 20 seconds to catch your breath and drop your heart rate a little bit to Guy. Guy over to Reed who works to keep it in bounds. Does change of possession. Reed fights for it again. That's an obstruction on Guile. Okay. Uh, eight minutes left here. We got a twogoal lead. Looking good. Keep it down in Greenfield side at this point, John. >> Yeah, I think, you know, we just uh stay tenacious on defense, take advantage of the opportunities in the offensive end when we can and get out of here in eight minutes with a win. I think, you know, hopefully this fares the way we think it will for us, but when you look back on this game, I think it'll be the third quarter that coach Reed and the girls really take

a close look at on film as as work that needs to be done. >> Nor Dalt in the middle with some moves between three players. That's going to be Noralt's ball again coming on the near side looking for Kendall Reed. Kendall Reed's got the ball at the 30 moving down the sideline carrying the ball swiftly down the sideline. got caught up at her feet. Greenfield ball has it. >> Nope. >> Okay, it's that's our ball at the 10 yardd line. Kendall Reed looking inbound over to Ella Bailey just off her stick. Grace Martin comes in and says, "Nope, keep it down here." Really good play by Grace Martin on defense. Seven minutes and 14 seconds. This clock is coming down and I think it would be a really great thing to go eight and two

on the season with this young team. >> No question. Uh looks like we're going to asking Julie to move the ball just a hair and >> gonna reset reset to Grace Martin. Grace Martin trying to get it up to SLS. Still East Long Met Ball. 6 minutes and 50 seconds going. Clock still running. Julia Gray inbounded. Julia Gray over to the left hand side. >> Quick pass. >> Matty Sals trying to get it over to Guile. Uh Greenfield ball on that. Okay, so Greenfield not going away. Six minutes left. >> No, they are not going away. They have played uh really really good second half of field hockey after starting. You know, I think it says a lot about the character of the team and probably how they're coached. most teams don't bounce back against

really good teams from a four nothing lead in the first half. So, a lot of credit to to Greenfield for the way they played in this second half. Uh and also a lot of credit to our girls for recognizing, hey, uh we got to put our foot on the gas here a little bit and we have opportunities to score. We got to score. >> Grace Martin with a really hustle play there bringing it up over to Ella Bailey trying to get it to her. Looks like Kendall Reed's going to have the ball. >> Well, looks like we got conflicting calls here. Is it Islam ball? I saw one ref pointing one way and I saw the other point. Oh yes, going to stay east long meadow ball. >> Oh, that's going to be a dangerous

or >> which I don't understand those calls because it it never was elevated. It just happened somebody else. >> That ball's going to go out of bounds. It's going to be ball. >> All right, 5 minutes and 30 seconds away from a victory here. >> Two goal lead. Nor D with a shot down to the middle of the field. Intercepted by Greenfield. Julia Gray trying to play some defense on that. Still Greenfield ball. Greenfield's going to take it into the 30. That's going to be taken by Denal just off her foot, however. And Greenfield with an opportunity down on the East Long Meadow side down by the 21 yd line. >> Yeah, again, as you said a couple minutes ago, Denny, no quit in Greenfield at all. And I know no quitting our girls either.

So, uh, this is exactly how you want to compete to finish a game. You got to close the door on this. However, Greenfield with an opportunity getting it into their zone. Greenfield with the ball. Denalt has it on the near side sideline trying to do something. >> Clear it. Clear it. >> Now, I don't know what that call is to be honest with you. Denny, >> it's a delayed whistle and there's some conversation going on between the refs. However, Eastong Mountain is going to clear it. Gracie Guy over the race. Okay, Abby man trying to get to it. Goes by Matty Ser stick Bailey's going to take it on the far side. >> Really nice move on the left hand. >> Oh, some miscommunic just some miscommunication there. She thought one of her teammates was

going to pick it up and her teammate thought she was going to continue to carry it. So >> that's that's >> I don't like that call at all. An athlete falls on the ground, it doesn't mean it's a penalty. It just means somebody fell. Three minutes left in 55 seconds. We're up by two goals here. Greenfield trying to press Kendall Reed with a hustle move on the near side sideline. Going to try to move it into their zone. >> Great hustle play by Reed's going to stay. Denult's going to inbound it at the 30 yd line. Looking for an open player trying to get it to Bailey. Bailey has that ball. He's going to get Matty S's going to send it towards the goal. Seals with a hustle play over there. Battling for the ball

on the far side. However, Greenfield ball. So, three minutes and 19 seconds left. >> Yeah, this is uh you know, as you were saying before, Denny, this is what we, you know, to to really get better as a team each and every week and each and every game. This these are the opportunities for three minutes where you play like you're down. You know, you play like you're down and you finish this game strong. If we come come away with a victory here, I think it'll be a a really good lesson for the girls and to come away with a victory and uh you know lose a quarter >> be a good good learning opportunity for all of them with an inside >> trying to get it to her teammates >> at the 45 yd line.

>> Uh Julia Gray comes up with that ball. >> Two minutes and 30 seconds left. Matt's down the sideline. Grace Guile with a move on the left hand side over to Abby Man into the zone. Abby man pursuing the ball. Abby man. >> Really good try. >> Foot foul there on foot foul there on uh Abby and it's going to come the other way. But uh great push there by Islam Meadow. >> That ball's lifted way too high. I think it's dangerous. >> Absolutely >> coming the other way. Coming down the twominute mark in this game and Grace Scout's got the ball at the 25 yd line. It's going to go over. Kendall Reed's going to take it to the end line with an inside move. Centers it over to Grace. >> Wow. Grace guy

with a shot. Not sure the call. Greenfield ball with a minute and 48 seconds. Spartans trying to close the deal on this one. It's going to go off Norol's foot. >> Greenfield not going quietly. >> Not going quietly. >> Still Greenfield ball. Clock continues to run. >> Have an injured player. Looks like uh cramp for a Greenfield player. >> Number five for Greenfield. >> She looks to be okay. Those cramps are very painful. John, you've had them. tough. Once they start, they're very, very difficult to get rid of. >> Look at her, though. She's right running and she's going to play hurt. So, good for her. >> Yeah, tough kid who wants to finish this thing out. Uh >> she's had a really good game, too, for >> Greenfield. She's a she's an excellent player

>> and comes up with a really nice uh >> nice job by Julia Gray. Ball going the other way. >> One minute 20 seconds left >> just at the Bailey. Bailey's going to make a move here on the outside between two defenders. >> Kicks it over to the middle. Looking to get it in there. >> Feeds it. >> Big save by the Greenfield goalie. >> Ella Bailey with two shots. >> Another opportunity.
