weird bounce that's on nck and P covers it up that was a weird play indeed the Falcons are one and one following a loss and a win against lllo High School They just won against lllo 3 to2 on Saturday evening as the Spartans once again be ever at high school 7 to1 what a dominant win that one was break out [Applause] clean in the Spartan Zone be behind the net it's ruso on it now rusco battling m in the front pass right front wide open shot good save by Reed I think that might have been Skip by Reed shonette blocked Maza Mazza passes up to Shaw Shaw Shaw dumps it in M on Pursuit didn't P ATT that's going to be a brutal penalty and we got a braw in the corner same mive for
boarding yeah things already getting chippy here injured chog player these two teams do not like each other the last five contests head-to-head between them minog has won so the Spartans are looking to get back here unfortunately a menog player still down he's up holding his shoulder it's a problem I don't know how long that penalty is going to be trainers out and Maza is ejected maa's gone three minutes in two and a half actually that's brutal that's a good Center gone extremely early just do that again I mean you're trying to set the tone here if you're the Spartans but it's not the way to do it yeah and now I'm not sure what the penalty situation is looking like the scoreboard is looking a little whack right now I don't think that's what we
killing serving time I think sha pushed someone after I think Shaw's gonna serve some time here and another Spartan in the Box for the Maza penalty yep five minute that's G to be a major Spartan's down a play for five minutes here that is a great Center and to go off topic a little bit in the Everett game Dan Reed did have a fourth line out there was all freshman uh in fact janiro um one of the freshmen for the East meta Spartans got his first goal in the game so that was something to congratulate uh with one player down here Reed might have to utilize some of his underclass face off Spartan Zone one back it's up that's going to be out of the Zone Baker can win this race Baker can get to
the front of the net tries gets blocked break out by chog Baker still on it pass across the ice Jake Moore takes in the zone Mo still has it more sitting waiting good block by Baker that's out of the Zone Baker putting pressure good pressure it's going to be back all the way into the chog Zone missed play that's ericon Ericson makes a move pass behind Erikson shoots it back in Spartan forward change pu carried across the red line dumps it in Reed on it Reed fires it up the boards blocked by a MOG pass the middle nothing good def from Spartans Keller re can't get it out Keller re good individual effort tripped and they get the call oh move that's C the page C the page can't get anything on it cage still
has it and falls and that's going to be a stop to play penalty on the chog G be a trip on Keller Reid four on four for about two minutes yeah once again great individual efforts there by both Reed and leage laid out the bodies there to make the play and now once again yep a four on four that's big huge this could I say Spartans they score here that' be a very big piece in a win today winning on the game's even field no penalties draw Tri to Wi it back can'ts Puck behind the CH net pass across CR page on it pucks over Crow by rusa rco dump it in with paig on it paage lays a body H Puck Around the Net MRA on it raso dumps it in good dump in
paage on it back gets past ruso rusco dumps it in paage off for a change so does vraa kley comes on with say that's Ericson it is another strange bounce onto the net eron gets it dumped in by the Char defenseman Gro in Pursuit Gro playing the body Aron JS it around good play Ericson this kid's been on fire Aron gets around the CH the eron comes in shot over the net out of play that kid has been on fire he had a hatch trick in the Everett win over the weekend five goals in three games for Braden Erikson and that's what you want to see from a freshman I mean that is literally Perfection uh first year five goals in three games couldn't ask anything else from the kid minutes to go on the
chog penalty which means a minute to go four on four action just one back Reed gets it Reed dumps it in so that's Le page on it theage trying to get something done andaa behind the Neta body on gets hooked paig with a move paig can't get through the net Paige on the for check nraa goes up pass rounda Paige on it Paige Tri to get the stick on ER force in the corner ER lays the body like KCK get around the chog player that's Puck shot around shot a net wide a net jaw goes out the block save by Reed as a shot from the point K Reed on it now shot on that Reed's going to cover it up on that shift you can see Bren o solivan number 24 for the minog
Falcons their lone Super Seven Player three assists in two games the East uh chog penalty has expired so a minute and 44 of five on four to go with the Maza penalty pucks one back shot around Rus oh that was almost de playy by Baker Baker put the stick on it shot fan Around the Net now reversed r go on it Baker Baker out to play it m middle so stick check that's shot save by Reed it's Roman on it now put behind on set it's graso yep gaso fighting for it Roman has it Roman fires it down the ice good defense there from the Spartans Baker on it Baker oh almost cats a wrap around there shog four on three coming down here into the Zone shot on Net [Applause] scores it's just not
a step up in the D and that's a goal for MOG yeah you'd like to see better coverage there from grao just kind of let him walk right in labeled that shot past Owen Reed and it is one nothing eight and a half left to go in the first period believe is the penalties still on I believe because it's I don't know it's stays yeah it's gonna stay it's still five on four for 57 seconds face off goes all the way down in Spartan end K re has time K re looking fires the ice smart Playa for [Applause] it reverse the up cars paig on it cars Paige Pockets the chog player to the middle shoots at it on no one there the jaw tries to get a stick check on it oh SC Harrison
and that's a save by Reed squeezing the legs together yeah that was the right idea there from leage just sending the pass out in front unfortunately no Spartans there still is five un4 for another 25 seconds here the crowd went wild though they gave an assist credit to the goalie freshman Matt Lafley for the Falcons face off back eron ships it out that's going to stay in play it's a what a bounce kley on it kley put on the afterburners gets there first kley battling with two chog players the make that three Puck goes around eron stays back cam eron goes to play Ericson forces to the corner good play ericon blazs a body P out good pass it's to Baker we are even Now ladies and gentlemen that five minute uh major has expired
Baker on it Baker wins the battle Baker here shot blocked in front chog tries to fire it out can't says Reed dumps into the opposite Zone by that F by Kevin Baker Baker on his knees playing with the puck now Baker getting hammered gets cross checked that's Shaw now Shaw in Pursuit Shaw good body play there by Shaw that's GNA be shot down that's be an icing on minog Face Off CH Zone yeah great shift by the Spartans there offensively obviously that's what want to see right after that five minute major once again Kevin Baker's play I just love his effort 100% into every shift try to create some opportunities there lots of Falcons out in front let's keep it going face off that is pass in front this is a chug breakout sh shot
on Nets uh goes in strange bounce re trying to play in the corner to flex in through his legs don't want to discredit Reed there but it went five hole not super hard kind of dribbled in past him and it is quickly a two nothing minog lead Mike madala kley the page now followed by Erikson and Reed on defense face off on Anda pass back to Erikson Erikson of muffs it shot into the Spartan Zone Reed on it now Reed kick it around the chog player chog PRS in the zone behind the net Arison gets it chips it up it's to kley kley crosses pass to no one but the pig is there collects it Paige great pass to shot save by uh the CH golender as Matt lley Puck comes out of the Zone
Michael Ja across shot into the chog bench stops a play yeah you'd love to see mraa get going he got his first goal of the season over the weekend one goal one assist on the season that duo of leage and MRA been playing together since they were kids of course the connection is there just like to see both of them absolutely keep it up my old line mates back on wtm yeah face off one by chog chog into the Zone gets around gaso shot on it save by Reed M it up that's going to be shaw this kid's good sha three and two Spartan Shaw tries to make a move shot gets the move sha H the middle can't and Baker misses it went down on graso graso nothing CH dumps it ino's on it
Gro behind the ne gets hammered and pun in front of the net save by Reed and another goal good save by Reed but no one was in front of the net to clear the Pu it's unfortunate and I was going to say Owen Fischer once again got playing time against Everett he is someone that maybe Dan Reed will rely on it is a three nothing game now still five and a half left to go in the first he did not have help from his defense on that one but it's tough to give up three in the first dumped in by kley VR and Paige on [Music] it play loses it has up on Aron Aron shot on net tipped wide kley on it now can't get around it's going to be a three on two
going to chog chog gets round Pok by Reed good play dumped in by minog Around the Net Reed on it Reed reverses back to ericon Eric can't get a stick on it eron tries to shoot it up can't still in the corner Aon and draw battling for Dra shoots it around the boards plus the B chips it around that's kley on it now is left there has Puck up staying in the board uh staying in the zone the Falcons pass behind number 11 11 dumps it in ericon on it now eron all the way around Reed Reed looks good pass to Baker Baker makes a move turnover and then there's Baker on it again Baker and Roman oh fans on it CH defenseman fans on it Baker's out in the offensive zone Roman has it
now passess [Applause] around thing goes tries to go through of that can't pass to nobody there that was Adams getting some playing time oh excuse me Ferrero Reed shoots it up behind ferero shot save by Reed Kell Reed has it now Kell Reed gets it around K Reed looks get to Roman Roman gets sck checked Roman can't around 25 it's Jake Moore pass around raso on it shot of net saved by Reed to the point now what a move pass the front of the net which is no to nobody Baker chips it up for Shaw Shaw can't get anything on it on to Gro now Gro to the middle eight ROV just gets it out of there was dangerous play and we got a call on Jake Mo for something interference yeah I didn't see
that one either but I'm just thinking on that last shift couple of shots in on Reed I just don't think his rebound control is there yeah I I would agree uh that rebound literally sat in front of the net Kell Reed had to take it into the corner and try and get it out but this is going to be a Spartans Power Play It's one back by Baker Baker to ruso ruso passes it to nobody keeps it in the zone though R uh excuse me that's um ericon eron hammer a chog player dumped in out out of the Zone that's Gro Gro should hold on to it it's a good play not to get the off sides raso still has it now raso all the way over to that was tusco that's dump in by
chog 30 seconds down on this power play I do like the move by read though to put this line out here for the Spartans they had a great three on two opportunity earlier in the period so let's see if they can get something going pass can't get through R pass through charging to get this in the zone rco playing the body good work from muso RC's in the corner almost a full minut has been expired here erison Arison takes two t players Baker sent Baker in now Baker Falls the Pucket around Ericson Russo has it dumped in by Russo going to hold it 45 seconds to go on this power play shot down the ice no offense here from the Spartans ericon carral ericon waiting ericon up to leage leage cross ice giveaway to eight
eight shot save by Reed 3 seconds to go on this power play shot on that save Reed the blocker Paige has it now Paige over to ericon ericon pass up nobody there shot down the ice again 15 seconds to go on this power play nothing going on for the Spartans Reed over Arison Arison can't Coral it erison gets it up kley now has it kley tries to put it around the chog defens cannot 5 Seconds to go on this power play read on it the Falcons are just all over them able to complete a simple pass Reed passes it to his own player this is the Paige paig taking it into his own hands can't get around the Char defenseman pass to the middle the captain r no Sullivan shot on that save Reed another
sh save by Reed I feel like a lot of this is mental for the Spartans as well it's just not the same team we've seen the last three games I agree I mean there's not a not an ounce of fight I'm seeing I mean that play right there both chog and the Spartans players were just slow into the Zone almost careless Baker on for the face off all we're hoping is that the Spartans can get out of this period on still down three nothing and that Dan Reed will certainly rip into them in the locker room yeah certainly it's going to be behind the net that's Rustico pass up to Shaw Shaw Shaw trying to get around thumped and he just can't I mean Falcons are all over the Spartans rusco has it rusco fires
it up the ice I mean that's a smart play when there's just nobody open clumped up pass in rusco has it again rusco fires up the boards and that's going to be no icing 8 seconds to go Ericson gets two hit oh what a crushing hit from K Baker playing the body at the end of the period maybe that will get some energy going for spart and that is certainly it speaks volumes that this line has been the most noticeable on the ice Braden Erikson the most noticeable player for the Spartans in this period so period one is done three nothing minog Y and we'll be back with you e e e [Applause] [Music] all right and we are back back here for the second period of East Long met Spartan Taki I'm your color
commentator Abby Le page alongside Mike peard is a three nothing lead for the minog Falcons here at rank two and we're hoping the Spartans can bounce back from frankly and ugly period very ugly turn pass and we just can't pass I mean that's that give play to us and we just can't convert Mak a move pass the front blocked in front that's a good block K Le lays a body pass up the BS gra by Reed Reed cross ice to erison erison dumps it in shot on net it's gonna be held by Lafley although unable to complete a simple pass you really need this first line of all seniors for the Spartans to step up here absolutely shot around the boards Reed on it now pass over to nobody shoots it up the ice falls
down that's around no icing Paige Paige fires it across the ice could be a two-on-one here and we pass behind VRA I mean that's just not good uh stick handling can't get any through Reed ships up the boards rage tries to get a pass through can't it's going to be an icing on Spartans there's been a lot of passes behind the Spartans they're just trying to be really fast with it slow down head up see the player next to you definitely just take it slow I mean I know it's three zero deficit I mean you score the one goal then you get the most um dangerous def deficit in hockey which is two goals right I mean it quick goals not hard to come by come by Baker wins face off it's Rustico ruso fires
around the boards gets through it's Erikson Erikson's got it and skids on fire Erikson with Shaw here pass sha what a stop byle Shaw on it now Shaw Around the Net it's to Baker baker has in front of nobody shot down the ice give me an Icing by MOG offensive zone face off for the Spartans yeah what a Save By The Freshman goal tender both goenda are freshman they've split their game so far but this is Lafley who's made 23 saves in his first game and he just sprawled out to make the stop against the Spartans stops a play talking to Rus go rusco did something wrong rusco getting booted off I think for his neck guard not sure why Erikson comes on with graso two righty defenseman face off sha it Baker Baker puts
it in ericon ER LS a body Shaw and Baker on it again shot at the boards break out easy for chog chog Falcons shot on net save by Reed like how he came out there cut the angle down chip around ericon eron makes a move ericon looking get around ericon Falls gets it to Shaw and can't get a shot on net a slash on min yeah they called it slashed him after he fell can't do that I would certainly hope so but once again you see that duo of Erikson and uh Shaw there trying to get something going it's just unfortunate we've had a couple of two-on-one opportunities or opportunities where there are more Spartans than there are falcons and we're just unable to take advantage of itog taking their time calls a timeout charge
them for it going be a five on four power play for the Spartans second of the game first Power Play was ugly see if we can get something going here uh kley loses stick around kle in it it's m m up to the pass back to M cross ice to Aon Aron pass down to Paige Paige pass it sadly a gap where AOG player was Reed comes out to play it gives it to his cousin Reed Reed Erikson Erikson going up the boards Aron trying to take it himself Aron fires it in Puck went in the front of the net that's going to be shot down the ice eron's on it eron carals Arison passes it down kley gets a stick on it keley trying to get around the the other his foe number 18
the paig paage in the corner paage up to ericon Ericson cross the ice no one there M on it maala down take give and go kley can't get caral to pass kley to madala behind the net madala up to the Paige Paige cross ice out of the Zone I mean this is brutal to watch it's unfortunate there because the page settled the puck and was able to get movement in the offensive zone yeah um Reed that's to ER Aron can't find it at his feet 35 seconds to go on this power play oh my goodness the chog player gets it save by Reed that was an important one pass across to the middle Reed on it Reed getting up ice Reed over to Ericson Ericson making a move Ericson's fast eron left side Ericson comes
around ER shot s in front of the net oh my goodness spart player couldn't find it 10 seconds to go on the power play Go is down it was down Reed coming in I don't think ready Aon over shot Baker GL save no rebound can't get it on rusco rusco holding rusco to Reed Reed fires shot Keller Reed from the point 31 Keller Reed second goal of the Season great to have him back out there I was going to say it was an encouraging sign you saw lle gave it gave up that rebound couldn't Coral it in his glove allowed the opportunity to keep going for the Spartans and Reed takes advantage cuts it down once again to you said the most dangerous lead in hockey the two-goal lead three to one here at Olympia
Ice Center hopefully sparts get some more energy here that shot is what I call Mama's cooking because that's just you shoot it low hope it gets tipped it was by a minog player and it's just a common shot works almost 60% of the time will go the Paige working on it Paige can't get around pass up Tommy kley has it now I can see the energy there's much more energy kley T the middle oh M almost stick on it raso puts it in kind of weak still in the CH Zone M M on it passes around maala there we go Gro shoots it at a CH player get around kley now has it kle gets it around the CH player manala manala Oh to the page the page shot save rebound youres That's Mike mraa
with the rebound goal 32 as you said Mike Quick goals can happen it's quickly a one goal game what do you hear what do you say I mean that is beautiful there's the energy I think I smell a comeback but I have bad I have a bad nose so I don't know uh Baker lines up with Shaw and um Erikson Baker runs it to Ericson back Gro Al hesitates Fires at the board around sh player can't hold it it's to ruso ruso Fires at the boards to a chog player Baker on it to the middle chog does not see the pass ruso on it ruso tries to take run the that let go reverses to Baker baker has a two-on one up here on the blue line Baker around three on two Baker this it
around just front shot shot save lle that almost win another great save by lle though yeah that was a backhand shot by Shaw there but the crowd is coming to life here for the Spartans you can feel something rumbling absolutely the energy dramatically changed um I'm seeing a lot of more quickness from players that's Sam Adams and uh freshman getting the some playing time it's to Reed Reed over I'd say should have play a wi to his D line mate there dumped in by chog it's going to be off net CH behind the net recollects re fires around the boards it's to Roman Roman can't it around he does get around Adams Adams Dodges the hit can't get it out of the Zone though good play by Roman Roman gets kicken out of though this
is Cam Arison now camison gets up shot into the Zone N9 minutes to go here second period That's run this going be middle of the net nothing there break out by MOG MOG has it that's kellerer kellerer nothing Reed battling ker Adams gets into it now just behind the net collected by chog went to the front of that ericon left his post to chase but Sav by Reed heck of a save needed that one poke away that's by Reed Reed holds it re looking for something Adams can't get around it shot up shot from the point shot right in the chest of Owen Reed thig save there you can definitely tell the momentum has shifted here a three on two opportunity for the Falcons and absolutely nothing came of it it's great to see the
top line going leage now leads the Spartans in points four assists and two goals on the season Thea kle in the Paige mraa lines up one to the side by mraa Gro fires around the boards the PA hope he gets there PL does to break it out ah fans on it tries to get around the off no off kle running into each other here dump in by minog raso in Pursuit raso has has it Roo gets it up for boards to nothing it's kley kle shooting nothing pass the front blocked by um over shot what a save by Reed are you kidding me sprawls out for the save re has get back in a net now behind the net see what's going on there sticks and bodies flying Coral by the captain shot save by
Reed again Puck Goes Around the Net that was dangerous but Spartans get it out no icing what a series of events there pass across tipped this kids this guy off sides it's going to be off that's ruso Russo has it fires it up the ice the page gets a stick launched not broken but he heads off for a change Aron takes the body I don't know what that was by Russo russco faked the shot to nobody but great back check by Cody shot that's pass that's a passed up he's that's uh off sides he went to a Beckham Jr catch that can't do that a quite chaotic sequence of events there to Deadwood on the ice luckily the Spartans back in his Zone at Owen Reed gave up another one of those rebounds he can't
really give up but the Spartan's able to get it out Reed coming into his own now making some fantastic SA aves this is Baker Shaw and Erikson just a heck of a line of some young Talent Shaw has it Shaw gets around the CH player Baker on it Shaw gets it Shaw can't get in the zone it's G be off Sid it's good play by Shaw to keep it out Shaw takes the stick could work by shots can be dumped into the MOG Zone Aker in Pursuit pass up the boards still in the chog zone that a shot on net from minog Baker on it pass the middle it's dangerous window no smart was there Shaw Falls and while chasing number seven hii ER eron and there a penalty on Braden Erikson say he said
chop them slash yep give it a slash Hi how are you yep 6117 left here to go in the second period and the Spartans will be shorthanded although there's slow change here but chaos this period see that's Baker the C [Music] Baker shoots it into a cha player's head nothing pass FR of the net almost goes Reed gets a um poke check on it Baker's going take it Baker fires it down the ice oh that was almost going been a pass if Baker had his head or saw it he had his head up way to fire it down on the point pass down in the circle now Moore Moore cross the ice stick check s check that's going to be a goal tough D no one in front of the N it's another goal for
the [Music] Falcons yeah Ben Daniels the minog crowd was saying had been injured previously in this period comes back and scores the 4-2 goal fourth goal for the Falcons it was a great initial pass across the ice that created that play that opening for Daniels to sit right in the crease get a stick on it and is once again a two goal lead for the Falcons line one back out kle collects it pass it up to CH player be going around Reed cuts it off Reed reverses it's to Erikson Ericson holds it against the boards has a power play goal so not much you can do this is held against the boards still by cam Ericson fighting gets it around kley gets it K tries to break it out he gets it out but stuck
in the in zone theage gets reverse hit paage wants it again paage LS a hit it's Keller read on it Kell re getting pushed what's up to leage leage shoots it up to Tommy kley Puck stick checked CED by cam Harrison what a move from paage paig coming in makes a move gets to uh uh checked away paage has it in the corner no one with him Spartans are in a change that's the baker Baker nothing there Baker Falls chog Brees it out can't get around K Reed though Reed passing it across the ice nothing there Baker on it 423 to go what a what a could keep it timer shot wide of the net erson almost had another goal Shaw going be broken out by minog dump in Around the Net hell re on
it Reed sandwich by two to players Puck's not could is not kept in that's by Nick G sha on it erison takes the hit be off sides I don't know that was a lot of yelling uh looking for the middle pass blocked by Erikson still gets it through though pass the front of the net than fan on it that would have been another goal and we have a another penalty oh penalty on minog excuse me high stick on the minog player yeah I must have missed that play as well I think I heard it but I I wasn't sure what happened it was a stoppage of play even though we had possession so that's what the confusion was Reed was also confused a power play well the Falcons just scored on their power play so
can the Spartans have a response let's see see line one with Russen Gro on D back to grao Gro fumbles it Gro cross ice to ruso ruso has it ruso looks cross ice good pass kley to Corral it kley makes a move K makes another move making two men Miss kley cross the draa pass in front no nothing there kley on it kley makes a move kley should look to the point rusco back to kley kley kley makes a move kley back by that's mraa mraa back to kley kley gets uh pushed over the big man goes down mraa in Pursuit mraa good play forces it back kley has it kley puts it behind the net I to nobody you got to look up here that's the page the page to Gro Gro has it
over Russo Russo shot a net blocks by the sh defenseman Anda flicks it around this kley now passes out back to Gro back Gro puts in to leage leage trying to get something going kley oh had draw the wide cars the Paige has it in the corner there the paage across the ice rco rco has to shot kind of took a while to shoot R has it again colle hisone blocks a shot that's to mraa mraa can't catch the pass follow behind the net it's Baker now AK it's around Baker reverses to leage leage takes it shot oh that's going almost went that's loose and they laughly covers it up that was almost a goal a scuffle ensuing yeah that might have hit the outside of the post and just came right back to lle
I think that's exactly what happened what a long sequence of events there from the Spartans uh good I want to say it's 50/50 good and bad the power play a lot of missp passes but there is possession time which is good it's not like it's in our Zone Dan Reed is yelling at the referees because matching yep give him a matching little scuffle scuffle mhm 153 to go in the period this the second period so we're get a long um intermission and then 25 seconds to go on the minog penalty bit of a congregation here the Spartans and the Falcons yeah I don't know what the delay is just like to see a lot more action and On laughly Again The Freshman goal tender been okay with his rebound control but like you said back
in the l l game just stand right in front of the goal and good things will happen hav seen a lot of that tonight one of the Spartan goals was off a rebound which was Mike M's just going to the net gets that puck in lle I think at the Freshman Jitters his first game he had 23 saves but five goals against surely those are gone Shaw shot of Ericson Ericson takes it ericon in front shot that's going to be out of play all the way over the net I saw the pass the shot there the onetime but possibly ER didn't see it he thought it was covered it's unfortunate here in rank two that we can't see the shots right in front of us I'd like to see how many saves both goenda down
Reed lets it Go Eric ER has time three seconds to go on this penalty it's going to expire pass it around to Erikson Ericson got speed Erikson to the find that shot saved by lley it's a good shot though minute 20 to go in this period Shaw the back check passes behind M shock player it's almost pass from a kick to Greed Erikson one-on-one Ericson makes a play Sav by Owen Reed yep just about a minute left here to go in the second period it's all even now five on five hockey still a two-goal game defensive Zone face off here ja gets the win but ties it up so the referee skates R chopping hooking careful on those M gets it puts it at the boards sh in blocks it couldn't see it ruso ruso
making a move r go off the ice rusco has some speed rusco gets the Pu poked away R goes to the corner rusco gets a body laid on him but he doesn't care mraa to the center nothing there see that was Roman the draw is back on D covering Rustico Roman has nothing can't get around chog offensive players no one in the corner for Spartans 15 seconds to go shot on net blocked by Roman Roman try to make a play Roman gets the play pu cannot get out shot on net over four seconds to Goa puts to the boards and that's going to end the period 42 uh Falcons it really is crazy how the energy can shift we were saying the first half of this second period it was all Spartans all Spartans it
was looking like we were going to tie this one up MH and now 4-2 game here at Olympia i s we'll be back with you for the third period e e e and we are back for another period of East Long Meadow Spartans and minog Falcons hockey here onat it is a 4 to2 game in favor of minog right now Spartans looked like they were getting some momentum in the first half of that second period but unfortunately minog scored another goal to push the lead back to two and the Spartans are looking to make a comeback here Kevin Baker along with Cody Shaw Bren ericon ER trying to cheat a little bit Puck one by chog Baker try to get up Arison dumps it in Smart's off sides reset that's across the ice fumbled by
the CH player Arison blocks it Baker on it Baker can't get it through the CH defenseman pass out the boards two F players are down right now Baker and sha trying to get back into the Zone H behind the net ericon shoots it up no one there almost dumped back in it's ericon eron just chips it Baker taken out Shaw misses the check ericon on it ericon forces the dump cam eron now has it ericon up to the boards it's right to player buta pokes it it but then again gets poed away from him as well that's going to go shot down the ice no icing ker it has time oh sat that's G to be an ice I miscommunication there yeah it's these unforced icings unforced passes things like that that have killed the
Spartans today MH defensive Zone face off here for the Spartans dra up the draw right out good break out kley kley over Paige paig has a space and Paige gets it through can't get it through the middle of the ice paig still has it paig up to Gro Gro shot a net oh almost gets through paig shot off the bar are you kidding me was that a double post I it might have been dump in from MOG that would have been huge raso taken out of the play shot up the ice no one there be another icing on the sparts although nothing came of it you do want to see more of those passes back to the point and shots from the point that's how Reed scored the first goal of the game for the
Spartans Ericson Shaw and Baker Baker wins it back ericon shoots it up the boards can't get it pass the chog defender though Arison trying to get it around the net can't Baker on it now Baker fighting uh ericon reverses it Reed Reed's got it Reed looks across the ice great play eron kicking a stick on it ericon turn eron gets around the CH Defender grows look to the point there a just no look pass to nothing stopped by Reed Reed or eron trying to get it around Baker Baker gets sck on it Shaw kick on it Shaw has it still sh get bodied off the puck can't even get it out of his possession tipped into the East Zone cam Eric on it Ericson fires around just to the CH player shot on net nothing
there it was blocked this is Roman now Roman shoots it into the Zone Roman in Pursuit nothing there to the Zone fero on it got players falling around up the ice nothing gaso should have went up for it that's that's ferero F followed by Roman fro shot wide Roman on it Roman gets to the reverse at the boards chog right to ferero fero Tri to get it in can't fero gets spins out corow by ruso ruso has time ruso looks up almost gets bodied off go on it in the corner rco getting bued Russo Russo and call on the Spartans I believe an unnecessary penalty on ruso very unnecessary was that a roughing call I think that's what they got him for and Reed is I didn't see it but I assume it's probably just
some chippiness and we get the worst end of it 11:30 to go in the period and Spartans are back on the PK again Reed she can't get around the secondary defense to the MOG Falcons shot in the corner Aron stay in the front of the net good work Reed on it makes a man fall Reed pushing it's mraa now Ericson let play D on that Paige and mraa out mraa forces paig way to get it it's a great save by Reed to get it up and out of play that was a great save the Spartans offensive strategy here today has been kind of a dump and Chase game but in this sense you just want to dump as like yeah as fast as possible as wrong as that might sound [Applause] M this is up
at the pointa putting the pressure on it's what you need right here you can't afford to let up a goala on it gets it out of the zonea no page no step on it three uh two on three on two here Reed it's blocked shot on net right that's on the ice loose in front Reed jumps on it good work by Reed to cover that up yep that play started by O Sullivan splitting Le and mraa and streaking right into the Spartan Zone losing Maza this early where he was such a factor in the lll game on the penalty kills is extremely rough Baker Baker can't get it back this is one back by MOG MOG working at the point pressure that's going to be out of the Zone Baker in Pursuit kley can't a
hit but it's around kley has it though kley tries to get it around chog Defender cannot cross to the his defensive partner kley and Baker the forwards out here kley can't get the play on it Gro looking to defend Gro good Defense Forces into the corner Puck around the ice kley blunder kley could have the speed kley break away here Thomas kley Thomas kley makes a move stopped by uh or laugh excuse me Erikson looking to defend Erikson push in the corner KCK T toe shot wide of the net h can do it again K with another Breakaway uh has no dash I think K gets taken down Puck under him puck up this is Ericson ericon the penalties off and I don't know what the call is I think it's on the vog player
yeah you can't do that he toss his helmet is on both they give him matching [Music] nope just on him I think not sa he just throw his helmet off that was hque I'm not sure how to say that but uh yeah you can't really do that but I'll tell you if the outcome was worse from cley's first hit the side kind of step on the Falcons you definitely would have gotten a tripping penalty there definitely I just would like to see kle use his size a little bit better defitely see D on the bench waving his hands up and down trying to tell the Spartans to slow it down then rushing on the power play this a five minute they give him a five minute uh this is huge yeah it's got to be
misconduct five minute rer for roughing okay this is huge for sparin this this is extremely important um Baker uh Erikson and sha are out with Erikson senior and um Kell Reed on defense the biggest thing here is to not take a stupid penalty that's what happened with MOG when they had their five and it turned into a four on four we'd love to see five on four action for all five minutes a waiting the face off R playing C Patty Kake in the corner trying to pick something up I really hope he's not picking up teeth yeah me too that would be kind of nasty Reed gets it gets able to dump it back in Baker on his shot across right to Erikson Erikson holds Ericson across the ice that's greed back to Erikson Ericson
down Shaw Shaw back up to Erikson ericon cross the Reed Reed wait passes down Shaw almost gets it shock takes it again pass up to Arison Arison Waits Arison waks Waits Waits F across ice that's his little brother ER oh almost a cross to Shaw taking a slow you can tell that they're taking a slow smart just to Baker behind the net Baker Baker reverses to Ericson Ericson across ice to his other brother eron cannot Coral the pass Aon passes up for Shaw Shaw taking around taking to the left side now Shaw see some magic sha tries to get it through and sha gets hammered against the boards Reed can't get it through Arison good play to keep it from um becoming a a breakway Aron up the boards Shaw Shaw can't get anything done
two minutes of uh or excuse me a minute has burned here shot into Reed's a helmet Reed reverses back down 345 to go in the five minute major Erikson using the speed he's fast Ericson left side Erikson go through shot and glove save by lley at this point any shot is a good shot again we have to go to the Nets uh not many sparts players in front of the net were usually back Ericson K get it Paige cross uh Russ shot on net blocked by the captain pass up back to uh Russo Russo down to Manda Manda plays behind for kley kley takes it now kley back to Manda M up to Russo Russo across St to Ericson Ericson a net GL save by laughly it's a good save it's a good shot as
well it's just what you were saying there's not a lot of grittiness from the Spartans we're seeing good movement on the power play which you know normally is good but there's no Spartans really out in front I'd like to see someone screening laughly yeah I agree he's not too big of a goalie he's he's small that's a pitch that's the pick play shot blocked again can't get anything on these um from the point Erikson corals behind the net Erikson makes a move that's oin who misses it's cross ice to Shaw Shaw Shaw's got speed Shaw shot on net rebound Baker shot wide in the Nets Shaw's got it again Shaw battl in the corner Shaw gets wins the battle shot Around the Net that's to Baker 225 left on the power play Baker trying to
do do something here behind the net Baker to erison Russo Russo shot on net blocked in front again erison trying to do something himself pass the point and shot a net almost goes it went over the net there was a good stop by lle that's fired down the ice I mean we're getting the shots we're getting the plays just cannot uh score just can't buy a goal here pass up the ice that's going be nicing you said it best under two minutes left here to go on this power play again love that line Ericson really is terrific at creating e e e no angle shot does off the reach stick 52 I feel like it was just defeat from not being able to score on that F minute pass power play and that's how goals
like that happen another bit of a miscalculation by Reed I think that was Daniels who scored that Baker and Baker gets a win clean Baker gets it around to Ericson ericon tries to get a hands on it he can't that's up to Russo Russo puts it around for Ericson can't get anything on it rco shoots it in no off Baker in Pursuit Baker gets it into the Zone it's going to be fired out Russ Go's got his hand on it rusco across the edge to Shaw sha cannot get his stick on it Rosso cross eyes to Russo Russo waits for the hit nothing happens stays on sides into the corner Spartans are just flying all over the place um sha trying to get Puck out of the Zone he can't up to the point blocked
by uh Baker good work by Baker he's laying it out he's just putting all the effort he can that's what you like about Baker he working hard even when stuff's going bad there are still two minutes and 40 seconds left in this period the Spartans scored two goals in a very short amount of time I me I mean there should be more urgency from the Spartans it really does feel like since that power play the Spartans have given up on themselves I would agree Abby I mean it's you just hate to see it because yeah team like shot is good but a team like e meow's good another giveaway thankfully it was a weak shot Reed covers it up 225 to go now and the Spartans are one and0 in the bay division a very
tough division this year especially with Greenfield being four and0 to start face off one by Spartan Spartan try to chip it up the paage gets it around the page they got a step now the page and kley the page Waites has in front he can't get it P reverses up to the point Aron shot a net blocked by mraa I mean Aron just shot it into mraa got to go on net there I mean free shot interference there I think they're going to call call for it yep they are interference on minog put your hands down son you did something wrong get to the box I mean that block shot by Erikson is just a summary of what this game has been like for the Spartans uh two minutes to go in the game two
minute power play a goal here would be very important very early here hopefully before the minute 30 mark something going here it's Baker lined up Baker wins it back to Arison erison revers Reed Reed shot on net block it away affley pass right up back to Reed Reed back in to ericon eron right on net sitting in front of neter can't get anything from it Reed keeps it in Reed way to keep it in it's going around their boards now Lyn hog player fans on it Sha Shaw going to the front middle of nice gets the puck stick uh poked away Shaw over the red line Shaw sa with it away Shaw with a little 360 move there gets into the MOG Zone Shaw get hit the body Shaw looks up to up up to
Ericson ericon back to Shaw Shaw back to Ericson eron shot on door that's Erikson cam Erikson that's a goal minute 09 to go and a great screen out in front there by Baker not sure how much laugh we saw that one two minutes to go it's not over ladies and gentlemen there's some life in them yet minute 09 I mean that's a tight tight time uh and we're gonna get timeout call from Dan Reed I mean Abby what do you think the play the set is here going to this last minute and 10 seconds it looked like with leage coming out here that he was going to have his top line out so it has to be just going to the net a gritty goal is ideal because we've seen with The Not So Clean
passing in this one right that movement is not going to work just go straight to the net fire shots from the point and the puck for both sides has been just sitting in the crease so much absolutely so just got to have guys with their heads up looking for the puck and if it's sitting there straight on net do you expect Reed to come out of the net here I do we'll see if that face off happens tie up yep get possession get read the bench the top o line the top D line out here Reed and Erikson backing up the Blue Line Mike draa sure what the hell that was draa booted from the center Zone kley kley that's one by chog re not going to come out 104 to go now we have
a minute to go give away again into the corner Puck almost bobbled fires it up to kley kley tries to get it up gets it around to Mike madr Mike madala a step M cross the ice good block took the guy out with him dra behind the net dra up the boards to Reed Reed jumps it in up to the net there's nothing 30 seconds to go leage leage waiting leage shot on net almost goes again he almost tried the zero angle move again almost worked again yeah it it did work last time so any shot on net is a good shot on net uh obviously has expected great pressure there from menog on the four check M Spartan's not able to do much under 25 seconds to go here pick play nothing happens like
mraa battling 20 seconds to go into the corner kley this is mraa now mraa into the corner 10 second to go held against the boards kley kley tries to get in front of the net nothing block three two one the game is over Mitch hog beats East metal Spartans 53 in regulation the Spartans fall to two and two on the season the the Falcons improve to two and one on the season we'll see where the Spartans Go From Here a disappointing loss at Olympia Ice Center uh not sure the next time I'll be on a call but with Mike here I know we're all in good hands on elcat and looking forward to the Spartans bouncing back they just need they just got to forget about this one I mean uh errors that should not
happen little things like that it just wasn't going right from the start so we'll see how the Spartans can bounce back in the next one thanks for joining us here on elcat I'm abula page I'm M beard e e for
