and Anna Roman with a chance to go through she does work by Anna Roman staying on it all right and that's played out let's play it quickly let's play it quickly down the line yep well done and we got Mack to beat her around the corner which she no just barely off almost did good work by Mac yep still at the ball at her feet oh unlucky unlucky on that touch so it'll be a pope throw in from the near sideline looks like May M with the throwi in from there she'll go play a square throwi in back to Nora Walsh another one of their terrific players their Center back they lost a couple of all key players from last year's team that Stephanie Caesar trying to think I know uh one of their pre
one of the Premier players the reg that's right Bella Meadows correct for a minute the name was escaping me there well done by Addie Jordan and that's a white that's a red throw in very good good pressure and we'll get some Spartan substitutions coming into the game Gabby disi for Mia petto and Eve Butler for Anna Roman Kenna with a good long throw down the sideline Bella is there to win the header plays it through to Mack who looks like she has a chance that's well done to play through that po looks to turn it out nicely played by Sabina that'll be another East Long meow throwing Kenna will come up from the back to take that throw 31 and a half minutes remaining no score here in East Long Meadow with the Spartans versus
the Pope Francis Cardinals ball is out be another throw getting deeper into Pope territory to got a move Cross by Jordan Jordan into Bella white one more there we go have a touch and hit it yeah she hits gab Ky Kylie Mar work by Gabby back to emo with a up and over but that was a good ball made it all the way across we like to see we can switch Fields like that good idea I like that couple of those quick passes switch to the field and get a get a good look Pope Francis builds short from the back small ball playing dribbling up on carrying out of the back field shut off by Gabby there ball goes on the sideline Kyla has it Ball's played deep Sabina is quick in Retreat and wisely
plays the ball out for the Spartans to regroup and set their defense this is where Pope is difficult with numbers in the middle of the field one two three four five five players in that offensive striking Zone and trell all by herself anchoring that Midfield and again you can't can't leave her no too many steps out there no no Dillard looks to go inside and she puts it in the side netting and you look up at that you look up at that alignment with all those people up front you think all we need to really do is just win it pop it out and they've only got one person at Midfield but because of the the respected prel commands at Midfield and some of the times that cushion that's left with five players up front
it's very difficult to overwhelm them and get into the back although you'd think that transition game would be there if you could get it ball is settled by there they play it outside to The Far Side for Pope Francis the service comes short Susa steps on it and the ball comes back out on the far sideline Pope throw in there Dillard comes through good step from Jill Stevens from the back and Ari Goldman almost got there yep Bari Goldman was in Whit okay we got it perfect our viewers at home I'm sure they catch worri they can they can they can pick up on those switches Anna Roman in for Eve Butler and Hannah Johnson out for Pope Francis for a sub perfect pop with the throw in on the near sideline Dillard looks to
play it up and over Kenna wins it but plays it out she's another girl I think we want to keep we want to keep her back to the goal too yep o sa with a nice touch to Ari Ari dispossessed on the near sideline Nina pandaly maybe was dispossessed there Jill comes through it o nice step from the back from Nora Wallace just to cut in front of the Spartan offensive player Anna Roman plays it back Kenneth sends the ball over the top one on four is going to be a tough order to ask for Addie here but she wins the ball gets a gets a shot off you never know you can do that you can get up a little push and then up getting a free kick out there but yeah they were
if that's going to be our plan tonight just one on four obviously low got scored against us last week with two on four y but we won't go there right we'll start a new and I can understand the idea can I can understand that that that the the offensive Crush that Pope has dropped on people so early in games people they're you know you find yourself behind three nothing for you know I understand the idea of playing it in then hoping to maybe play for a Counterattack goal and Kylie comes in to help double that ball with Jill ball is cleared but not all the way out Ste on by kyli Kylie steps on it well done and a lovely service to Addie Jordan have someone Runner coming off send somebody a runner coming off
through yep wide wide wide good job holding on to that ball by Addie letting our offense move up that's play to feet we find can't get it all the way through does not get it through there Bella white steps in front now we got a switch find a switch outside good Gabby goes through it and gonna be a foot race between dooli and Kaki Kaki comes out with it rolls the ball out of the [Music] back pressure coming from Kylie to shut her off there and massusa also helps some nice defending from her there as well ball comes to the middle Pope looks to mount an attack they push the ball back to The Far Side Push It Wide again five Pope attackers coming forward yeah it doesn't look like Pope ever goes with the
same lineup they do they do play a real fluid yeah there a very fluid formation with who's playing where M ww in for Addie Jordan yeah they they they're not typically where you see everybody they stay in the same spot obviously Dillard started off looked at at Midfield and she moved to the left now to the right correct 26 minutes remaining in the first half no score Jill Stevens is marked up out there looks to turn the ball out she does like she might have gotten tripped and still steps up and plays the ball Bella plays it up and over for a chance for the Spartans to regroup in the back and reset things for a Pope Francis throwing Jill does a nice job freezing her outside making her play it out terrific good sound
defending which we've come to expect from the always reliable Jill Stevens big throw in there controlled by the Spartans looking to get the ball wide to Goldman she is O just a step a step off it forces the misplay by Pope the ball's out of bounds Kenna will come up for the throw somebody's got check to the ball and a Roman with time drops it back kenon comes up plays the ball just wide on the near sideline well I think the effort's been there so far to try to possess and distribute that ball and try to go side to side a little bit Jee I like to see that yeah it's like the game against lle the other day there's the whole other side is wide open yeah Pope obviously likes to play tight passing
g game where to sua gets a foot on it outside o just barely missed that just got a step on that time for Kylie to turn it up the field does ni keeps it in bounds I don't know how she did that that was lovely ball dangerous ball to the middle there got to step on that before it gets through any deeper don't let Dillard turn she turns and faces up Sabina with terrific defending position makes her play it to the corner still in hope operates out of the corner along the Baseline that's a dangerous ball goalkeepers don't like to see that oh corner kick always dangerous with the number of hitters that they have here um Isa will pack the box looks like M whitward will be the only one not dropping into coverage
and even she is this is where deep enough turell's dangerous in the head in the air because all she needs is a I hate giving Cathedral Pope Francis but she she's fun to watch always smiling having a good time out there correct correct danger in the Box it's an in swinger Jill Stevens wins it the ball's played up and out one more touch nice Shield by a gabby yep and the ball clears to space at Midfield the Spartans will regroup as witw gives Chase there nicely done Walsh distributes outside Pope goes to the far side and looks to change that point of attack and come back in for another time they go onew with a give and go outside pushed out of bounds substitutions we have Anna Martin Addie Jordan and Lily Dunn and for
Bella white Gabby disi and Emma Susa excellent job as always with the substitu thank you and now for pop Francis Nina pandaly I can get the East we get girls and easto forces Pope to play it all the way back Pope looks to go to the middle oops no time o nicely defended by Lily she pops back up stepped on there by Jill Stevens no hand ball maybe I'm not sure what the call was there Jill surveys the field the ball goes up and to oops headed before Lilly Dunn can get there Addy Jordan gives Chase good work by niely one ball gets served to the middle Sabina comes up yep no turn for Dillard excellent well defended Saina stays right with her recovers to get back to Kenna spot very well done Jill tracks
back there plays outside to Addie Waits Waits let's get there there get there Ari not quite and we continue to keep the ball on that Far Side pop Kylie defends there Marino keeps her outside deny that turn and cross oh get a trip call there same thing almost corner kick it'll be a right kick a deao corner kick on this restart from the far sideline believe they have a freshman from Esa meow over there right I think soja yes that's correct uh Ali soja who's number I think number five maybe so the ball is served dangerous spot for one look to clear look to clear look to clear look to clear nice save save by great save by Emerson Point Blank shot comes out with sa tight range good save got to clear this and
see if you can go from there well done let's see if we can win this ball pressure out Pope has to play it all the way back excellent pressure by Lily Dunn yep make her play it all the way back terrific work to have her bring it all the way back out well done make Pope regroup from their own half of the field excellent Lily continues to give Chase good step from the outside not quite possessed there we got to try to win that ball and then possess it yeah we need we need the uh possession we can't if we just give it to their defense they're they're not going to just kick it back in they're going to work the ball every time from the back we need to keep that possession work the
ball I know they want to clear it and get rid of it but we got to get the ball to the midfielders feet and let them distribute it out wide and work our way up the field just under 20 minutes no score here in the first half um between eow and Pope Francis Lucy Parson's in played out nicely Butler goal kick Emma Susa back in SSA back in sorry Susa you were good Susa you had it right I feel like we get this I feel like we get this every game Pope wins the header stepped up right there one by East slow a little bit of back and forth pingpong soccer here there's a little by Butler knocks her off the ball and giving chase keep to bigger that's all right we'll get a big
chase in from Lucy Parsons make her play it make her play it make her play it ball goes across the goal mouth and to the opposite side pop certainly not shy about switching Fields even deep in their own ends oops Shadow comes up with it Pope looks to build out of the back spot I don't see very often with Sabina all the way back this time turns and faces up plays the ball out K Out of Bounds ah she didn't have much when she faced up okay it'll be a pope throw in from the far sideline to Dillard who looks to she has a real rocket from there nice save by nice save by Amerson knock good shot that's the thing about Diller can load that up in half a second and then just rip
that ball so nice save is will have to defend the corner successfully here that's a tough one normally you want to contain but when she's going to hit it like that you got to step up but then you got to worry about her driving by it that's the that's the that's the danger I never had those problems ball coming get out of corner from Pope gotta be one and it's up and over Bella white checking in and Anna Roman it's the first Subs I've called All Season Eve Butler and uh I don't know okay looks to play the ball in she plays it across the goal mouth to Kenna Kenna got a B that was a big step off of white oh no it's a red throw or sorry it's a white throw have to
win the ball there got to make sure of those balls when you play them across uh that deep in your own end regroup and win the ball here big throw in Jill wins it out of the air no turn there no turn for Dillard no turn and still she turns and hits it and she doesn't need much to get those hips around the ball those are fine going away from the goal yes off balance shot Jill Stevens looks to play it out and it's a long goal kick won by Pope Francis and a Roman gets a foot on it there let's try to bring it down and contain some possession here trell with a beautiful service but stepped in front of by Kylie Marino hope again controls and looks to come back in good step
by Mia the Shadow and a ball still continues to return to pressure there we'll try to play it back out Kylie boxed in plays the ball back to Mack little bit Pope on the far sideline with a throw in after it's played off of an East Low Defender Mack Witwer again not used to seeing Mac that deep but some different plays and different formation Personnel tonight she steps in front nicely done and run runs the attacker off the ball well done can't let trell get a clean look there you cannot let her get a clean hit you also can't Bo that's right outside the box call to set a wall from here this is a dangerous place for a set piece Emerson retreats to the goal sets her wall Ball's coming in and they played
it fast good heads up by Emerson I think that's one of those just trying to quickly gather a shot off trying to set up the wall not asking for go by go right by maker play it good work by Addie yep well done and the ball I thought runs out yes eventually it does Kenna with the throw I'd like to see us with some sustained possession here got away oh hand ball I think we got away with a uh soft shot on net there back there Steve I would have been uh setting one up I know I would have with it that deep yeah that's just just outside the 18 and and again I don't there we go can get her and turn on her smart nice pass to Anna Roman all the way through
it all the way through it Shields it all the way in comes up with the ball builds out to The Far Side rolls it out Pope will build from there nice onew over there on the outside and Jill Stevens looks to face up she does and plays the ball out far sideline Pope throw well defended there by Sabina no turn allowed com in Good Help denying her a turn is so so important and it's so easily overlooked but denying her that turn is huge this time she gets it faced up try to play that ball out over the T over the sideline rather than the end line for the throw but instead we've got another corner to defend here I think is one of the good things if you can turn around like Sabina just
contain kept back to the goal that's twice Mia petto came in and whitward just came in on that one to steal it that's and that's what you're that's what you're looking for hold her up long enough to go through Pope looks to serve the corner is SLO Tri up to high wide ball goes all the way through for a goal kick Terell comes up a little bit slowly after that one not sure if she did take the hit or she was simply wisely trying to buy the call good Shield by Bella white yes and now she's got a chance to win it again good work well done excellent toe pooke okay no worries Pope will get to throw in just on their own defensive side of Midfield on the near sideline look again to feed
Dillard again denied by mne space there but Mac closes out Lightning Fast wow contained at Midfield contained contained well done no turn excellent job good ball to Mac Mac looks now to get herself out of a phone booth oops got to get on the same page Sab goes into for the stop or the save rather we regroup there the idea was right there I just think Ma Dro it to wasn't quite I don't think there was enough communication but that was the the right idea Hope plays it back in try to keep Dillard outside not allow her to turn good job by Saven to keep her wide ball is hit and Emerson's on it ball comes this way if Addy can get to it she can build it quick release there we go add's fast
y good ball Emma all right one more get there just a littley it's all right I like that though that built that was nice all the way out of the back well done well done 11 minutes remaining in the first half no score here at East lamento High School Spartans versus Cardinals and there's a turn at Midfield she's got some space to go through she's ridden off the ball and there's outside call well done getting a chance to see some players in some different spots today who aren't usually in defensive modes someone likes um someone likes Saina mne someone like um M whitward but showing that they are terrific soccer players using those terrific fundamental strong defensive skills that they don't have to use all the time but when they're called upon to use them
like tonight awesome to see super versatile players get Ball by Mac nice Ball by Mac Mac is so wherever she is she's just deadly put she puts other people in good ball get there Emma no call the box I believe it both ways both should right there's a pope Defender down and it looks as if she's not getting up quickly it's nice of the Pope coach to uh tell their players to kick it out of [Music] bounds we'll wait and see she's up now so glad to see her up and walking [Music] just under 10 minutes remaining and it looks as if the PO player she will be coming off for the sub since the action was stopped but it looks as if she's okay so that's good to see oh quick drop ball that
was kind of done ham-handed by the referee there goes back to Hannah Johnson I believe who serves a long ball through step good work by Jill Stevens Bella possesses turns o just barely dispossessed but she is and Dillard looks to give it up ball is stepped on in the middle step in front of it step in front of it step in front good good work by Ken yeah way to Hold Your Position excellent to go and turn oh gives it up to Anna Roman on a nice exchange let's get it Anna looks to beat her outside she's got some room if she can keep it in got some numbers too yep fine service oh almost oops it's could be trouble here Kenna has to cut to the middle but there is a back a back
post attacker they may have been better Pope may have been better to hold that ball up and try to hit this Runner coming on the outside Gabby Desi Ari Goldman and Eve Butler in multiple substitutions on yes for the Emma can't tell she's out Anna Roman M whitward no Emma's still in and Mia [Music] petto hope with the ball playing the ball out of the back field Addie Jordan on giving Chase po moves it up Ari guard Goldman steps to the ball somebody's got to step to the ball it's out of bounds good job by Kylie Marino to forer Out of Bounds throwing on the far sideline for the Spartans and it looks like they'll do it again Jill Stevens with some times to face up and see plays the ball attack coming the ball
if she can get it and turn Susu with just enough time to turn her hips gets the ball to Eve serves it back out to Kenna running through Kenna down off the sideline yep here you go Kenna yep just barely out just under seven minutes left the z00 score po definitely leads with a time of possession yes and leads in Shots Out of Bounds Bella white looks for a quick throw to Sabina mne nicely served into sus gives a good serve to the middle off that just a little bit higher could have gone to Addie Jordan poked back in by McKenney and the ball is cleared by wall she wants to reset numbers Jill with a head Dillard tries to play it through good work by Jill St well done pandaly and Dillard look to
both go through they cannot Dillard we nope has to play the ball back continue to make her play it back goes back to trell and now outside to Johnson well done way to force that ball to go back excellent very well done o Jordan almost gets a misplay there well done anytime they get the ball in the 35 yep moving it quickly and get the force them all the way back that's what you want to need to do there's a lot of little kids running around it sounds like thunder lot a lot of our younger girls players from the the East Low Youth League here tonight for youth night good to see the future of Spartan soccer is bright Eve Butler looks to turn it outside but goes back to a pope player Kylie steps
there and it'll be off of her it'll be a Pope Francis throw in from there ball goes in to trell who's then dispossessed in the double team nice step by Eve yep a little bit heavy on the touch but plays it out of danger so Addie will give Chase all the way back to Kaki what one of these times because you certainly you can't argue I mean Kaki has shut out after shut out her numbers are impeccable but I don't know that she's got a lot of actual save time in net for the amount of save she's actually forced to make in a game yeah you know she's a good goalie but does she how often she get those challenging shots right right right right Susa with a chance to step up and look gives
the ball through to Goldman back to Susa pushes it maybe out side nope comes back inside with it Pope looks to build out of the back Kylie steps in front contains on that sideline oh that'll be niss metal throw and nicely won by Kylie there and we'll have substitutions coming on Ma whitward Mia petto Anna Roman in for Eve Butler Gabby disi and Ari Goldman I like with Mack and I like Mack up I like Mack anywhere but Mack in the middle the Midfield feeding Emma Addy Jordan up there I like that I like that uh that one two punch yep Jill Stevens to Sabina mne who holds and looks to operate she distributes to Bella white play the ball back to Kenna who plays a long ball up in the air to Susa brings
the ball down to Roman who looks for a runner somewhere give it back to her yep she's waiting for a runner no such Runner to be had ball goes back yep now we [Music] go ball goes out of bounds for an east or excuse me for a Pope Francis throwing just over three minutes remaining in the first half no score between the East lamento Spartans and and the Pope Francis Cardinals Dillard tries that Mule Kick turn again to no avail Savina has really done a terrific job um staying right on her hip which has been great ball goes to got from Mom got that from yep Pope tries to build on the outside Kylie's able to run that down turns it outside and I believe off of the pop oh I think that might have
been an East met throw I guess he was a lot closer than I was but no worries we'll have the truck can Bristol load some of that footage later and we'll see good step by Kylie Marino she's been real solid back there you say that game in and game out step in front well done Mack distributes to Anna Roman who looks to build out of the back exposive burst to Speed come with her M yep good ball to add Jordan and just just little heavy off of her line she's playing up high begin with that good ball po denied the turn Susa wins it there looks to turn her in and stepped on boops by Kenna Bella looks to operate in tight spaces she gives the ball back to Emma oh you have a Runner
server outside yep good ball just barely disrupted by Pope a nice step defensively because that was a good ball Mia petto with the throw in from the far sideline minutes on the field as we just heard from the public address announcer we will have the final two minutes of the half which will be kept by the [Music] official so we've got a pope throwing From The Far Side just about at Midfield again mne right on Dillard's hip not allowing her to turn nicely played out of the back by Kylie Addie gives Chase well done makes her play it Well Done nice step by somebody come through and a corner a corner there we go that'll be the good way to end the half perfect got about a minute remaining in the in the half here
East saw meow calls a timeout just about a minute remaining in the half e e and we're back approximately one minute remaining in the half minute 255 well we'll see there's time left on the clock time left on the clock we're not exactly sure how much but the official will have it and we'll count down the remaining time I'm going with the over and under 50 with a minute 50 all right and the ball is in nicely served bouncing low bouncer with a header Bella white got to be careful of a Counterattack here and it'll be a pope kick coming out so jel or the Spartans will have to work to get back and they do they hustle back quickly getting back a number of people behind the ball well done good work by add
to get in front of the ball too slow everything down let them quickly get one off yep slow everything down there you go Terell just H her ability to just turn and drop that ball in there was no Runner that time but many times there are she's fun to watch yep vieno surveys the field looks to bang one and serves it up to just about Midfield one by trell there and that's the half so at half time here in eastl Meadow it's the Pope Francis Cardinal zero your hometown East Meadow Spartan zero we'll be back for e for
