whenever you're ready yeah good evening everybody Jeff Moro here with Josh Weiss East Long Meadow just gets off the block monno uh looked like Addy Jordan on the draw Kenna Marino flying down East Long Meadow getting their first possession Josh we got a game tonight the Spartans versus Westside Terriers what's your pregame analysis well it's always a tough one against the Terriers they're always physical and again we've got a little bit of a Miss tonight so the weather could play a bit of a role but so far we've made some nice strides coming down here pretty easily but uh little erant pass there took us took us away from that opportunity yeah good try there by Thompson monno was kind of cutting down the middle it was a little bit off of her stick and
then it slipped right in the Terriers they're going to get their first chance here to see what East Long Meadows ride do a misty but warm even rain earlier today and that's just not a good pass a little bit too far that one's up to McKenna whitward and she takes a shot not a great shot right there by witor a little bit rushed an easy save for the goalie another call it interception here on the ride nice play by Grace Howard there yeah Grace Howard's got it she gets it up and now it's in the hands of it looks like uh Anna ma Anna ma behind the net to trulio trulio has it it's going to swing it back here to Ken Marine looks like some good patients trying to find a a seam here
and some good defense from the Terriers yeah off the bat here's Marino's got it and it looks like uh Grace Howard with a yeah Grace Howard probably needs to send her way back on the defense but she couldn't and get monno back in there but that's that's probably going to be a coaching lesson there I think Grace Howard is a Defender she got herself in the offensive zone I can't blame her for wanting to try to score I mean if it's your a Defender get up there but you don't want to leave one of your best players sitting back best offensive player sitting back on defense so absolutely here they got a little Syracuse run here witw over there to Marino on the left hand drops it on the ground and it's going to be
a turnover there a bad pass by Marino and then a fumble Mumble there by Jordan now East now Westsides got it they're moving it up nicely and a missed pass right out of bounds they really were going to get a good opportunity there Josh looked like it and you know you's telling that it was a little unar sloppy here start another one right there over the head of the goalie that one might make its way out of bounds hann's gonna get there Hannah using her speed getting it back here again to Jenna Holly who's covered now and she can't go oh she I think you can only do that once I'm not really sure and this has a pro been a problem for years we got to make sure we get those passes that first
couple passes out of the Zone had some trouble this one come she's gonna take this one over the line and make sure they get into an offensive set she's still going she's weaving she gets hit in the head she's going to get herself an 8meter shot here good run there she just you know blew past everybody and uh and clearly I mean it looks like right now the center of the Field's pretty wide open here for those kind of runs good pass in oh great shot by Addie Jordan good play there moreo to Jordan that's a that's a combination that will probably be calling out a lot tonight and a lot throughout the season absolutely so 840 left in the first first goal for the Spartans very nice behind the back little snapshot there from
Addie Jordan yeah good move came from behind the crease monosar got it right in her stick a couple of fakes and it was you know there's not anything the Glee could do there that one-on-one so one- nothing East Long Meadow Addy Jordan to take the draw Ken Marino and Megan morno on the circle for the Spartans goes up and it goes to not sure it does Kenna Marino using her speed dodging left dodging right taking it she's got lot good aggressive play right there though she's gonna get herself an eight meter yeah that was I really like seeing Marino she's really stepped up here in the last couple of games with her offense she's been you know I'd say last year she was still a bit tentative but as a junior now you can really
see she's using that speed she's very quick so she should have a good opportunity here on the eight meter yeah absolutely and she does she does gets in there but she dumps it right into the goalie stick it's almost like that was almost hard to do she was so close in yeah and then she just kind of ducked her head a little bit but you gotta like the fact that she got in there one-on-one and was using her speed nicely you know she struggled a bit in the wallp game but really played well against whand as well you know figured out in that game so good play here see Addy Jordan and Mack Wht were chasing chasing this down nice play by Thompson there to knock it free they are all over uh Canada for
West Springfield well another there it is Thompson I mean Canada is Canada is probably their best player allaround player okay a really good out really strong athlete well coached this has got to go up I'd like to see macarini get a little wide there yeah oh and Jordan takes the fired that yeah I mean really the macarini was wide open there it looked like it probably should have been a pass to Macar as she was wide open yeah you got to got to look for your teammate on that one for sure I think so yeah I mean good speed to sh to get down there but on that play there slightly oh nice play by trulio to knock that ball free oh and the defender comes back and they're battling and morno comes down with
it quite little sequence there oh that's going to be an eight meter yeah yeah I think so I think it was inside the8 meter we'll see we'll see if morno is going to decides to run this one in it looks like she is going to try to run this in let's see what can happen hopefully she doesn't get too close to the goal like Marino did yeah I don't know if I've seen that often where you know you're in that close that you can't quite get a decent shot off and that was basically impossible to stop that one yeah kind of a classic move there monno on the 8 meter I would like to see that shot take place a little bit before then yeah she did wait I mean there were some Defenders collapsing
down on her at the end yeah yeah three or four steps and then put it in but still a good 8meter run there got open for the one-on-one and a couple again pump fakes and then in the goal and off to a great start so yeah despite A little sloppy play kind of in the beginning for the sloppy weather yeah seems like they're settling in now so let's see if West Springfield can mount a a defense against this so far doesn't look so great that you know they started out pretty well but but there seemed to be some uh in the defense I think from an athletic point of view looks like we've got a little more quickness and speed here so we'll see see what they can do another another good win on the
draw there more no surveying makes a nice little let's see what she does with it oh takes a hit in the head and that's going to be a penalty on and is that that's Canada again yep so 21 coming off for West for the Terriers y i man it's going to be two minutes got a little bit little bit too close ahead and she's she's really taking her time uh yeah really taking her time here and I if I could i' would like to I know we got a experienced clock person here Mr macarini lot of experience with that clock had another uh right at right the crease and just went a bit wide there morno looking to make a move oh takes another hit to the look like they head snap back great pass
to morno or to Kenna Mareno and a top shelf again what's a goalie to do Point Blank nothing feet away there duck is what I would do I mean a side Winder straight to the top three nothing East Long Meadow great feed there by Megan it's all about I think regardless of what sport you're in you Talent around you you can you know you draw some attention you find the open player and good things happen yeah so draw controls have definitely been a problem so far for Westside and they're just not getting the possessions and this one goes up again and it goes looks like moro's chasing that one down she gets it again and she's just beating them to the ball off of those you know and obviously that's key to quite a key
to this sport on come over the top huh yeah definitely yeah you know there's a in Lacrosse for those of you at home you got a little for in girl lacrosse and women's lacrosse you have a space that's basically your body and even a little bit above your head where they can't they can't come at you with a stick and there's to whitward and whitward dumps that one in another great combo monot to whitward very nicely done yeah great cut there good off yeah really good off ball movement which is you know which is very key to getting open want to have a lot of off ball movement so four nothing with 516 so the Spartans seem to be again in a dominant mode here against their western Mass compon opponents yeah we're seeing Mi
cab come into the game along with Saina mne coming out and getting a little rest Angelina trulio and Anna macarini after some good solid play in the first quarter very nicely done Addie Jordan on the draw again Kenna Marino and Megan morno on the circle we'll see if Westside can get the first draw control and they do number mascelli going with that I'm going with Sienna is her first name so we'll just go with Sienna yeah a really good one a little self draw right there yep gonna call penalty here on witor East meow is going to set up its defense they're going to surround the girl with the ball only a couple yards away it looks like they're going to have to try to get this ball to number one pretty quickly I mean
I can't believe the refs are letting these players get that close yeah or you got to send it over here to number 11 is what I would do there you go wide open now and now they're in grout looking over to number 17 po po has it monno out on the coverage and getting her first chance down there on to frion number six back out to number one Chapman back to PO back to Chapman yeah they're trying to find a little crease they're they're moving the B around certainly opening up the defense number six right there yeah has it in there and a good save right there good play by good play really there by Weiss and by Hannah Taff to get their sticks in there and uh really give an opportunity I like that
play there getting that ball right to W right away it's coming up oh is a not I didn't really like it anyway going there to Jordan was a couple of Paces ahead a little bit of a longer yeah pass there was more space but good pick up by Grace Howard there using her speed coming down the sidelines monno open it looks like yeah wide open got to get it to her yeah and here it comes and they do little twep good move there very nice little goal good play by Howard to get that thing up there and really find monno in wide open space one one for uh for another goal right these kind of things obviously against a team like this it's okay like you're working it out but they're going to have to
keep working on minimizing those mistakes because against good teams that's going to kill you yeah I mean we've seen right we saw the the early in the season in the wall Pole game turnovers seem to be really seem to be the difference in that game I think if you go back and you look at it and so absolutely I'm sure coaches you know that's something that she's focused on and she doesn't like to see those turnovers in transition you know I think once once we once Eon meow gets the ball to about the 50 yard line they're pretty good but occasionally they have you know they just have some trouble getting it from the goalie to the 50 but once it yeah once they're in that middle of the field they take over yeah once
it actually gets to the 50 it's usually they find their way to get into the offensive zone uh they they just got to continue to work on you know making sure that they get that ball to the 50 I mean I I I sense a little bit of that is a little bit of uncertainty and continuing to try to sort of make sure they know who's going to be where how they're going to support each other you know and cover each other if there a bad pass or something along those lines yeah so they're spreading out the offense here for sure spreading it around going to chase number 17 po down to herovic and back over to Sienna back to PO nice play by morno there to knock it away picks it up nice scoop
and gives it to Jenna Holly Holly has it let's see if we can there we go I like that yeah to Hannah Taft look at yeah take your time she is she's taking her time she's and that we can't cannot just cannot do that this is what we're talking about it's the problem for East Long Meadow last year it's the pro same problem this year they've got to work on you know it's not something you want to see long term yeah those those early turnovers after great defense right it can be so you know it's so deflating like you watch a basketball game and then it's a a great defense somebody shoots it rebound offensive rebound and the ball you don't get The Possession It Can it can get deflating over time well and and
really I mean Holly played terrific against wle and it was just those you know those passes out that you know after great saves oh great save there by Holly on the eight meter Line Drive shot I believe it was by Canada and Holly reached down to the left and saved it this one goes to Kenna Marino Kenna Marino gets it up to Ali Thompson Ali Thompson is going to move this ball she's moving it around gets she's probably gonna take this herself and then set up the offense is what she usually does nice move there looks oh wow no call there huh yeah I actually think that was good defense it was probably should have been probably if anything it would have been a charge yeah monno kind of ducked and okay it looked like
she took a shot to the Head yeah kind of a little bit I'd say that one was a little bit overly aggressive by monno probably should have pulled that one out she got around two with the third girl got her in trouble look at look at this to take over that support position yeah so nice nice hustle nice effort there good Addie Jordan on defense see Talia Weiss kind of really just kind of taking your time there letting them set up not using too much energy as it kind of spirals around there she goes she's in there covering Kenna Marino on it looks like Addy Jordan's going to have to pick this one up and then it's covered there good defense by test Al and good Outlet to from Jordan to monno and she's Off
to the Races it's a four on it's a fouron four situation here I think this is going to probably oh another hit to the oh wow just whistled that the top Corner what a beautiful shot that was yeah and you saw you know the other thing too is the the other the girls really spread out there so in the event that Moro did end up not having a good one-on-one there was going to be space for to do some off ball movement and take a pass and that was in in one sense too the way the defense was spreading like it it made sense to just take that shot yeah and you know it all let's be honest right it all started down here with uh with if I who forget who it was hon
alt on defense got the stick in there Addie Jordan covered the covered the girl who was cutting through passes two passes and it it was you know a long pass out and like you said once they get to the 50 yeah and there was only four seconds left so yeah and that's going to be the end of the first quarter with the Spartans up six nothing a pretty dominant performance and we'll see if they can keep it going absolutely we will be back in about two and a half minutes e e e and we are back for the second quarter of the girls lacrosse game East L Meadow Spartans Varsity versus the Westside Terriers six nothing after the first quarter I'm here with Josh Weiss in an elcat production Jamie Rook working the camera again
Josh here we go starting out on the draw looks like we got the same setup as we did in the beginning yeah I'm curious what the Spartans will try to kind of work on here you know I think these are opportunities to really you know try to get better at the little things that because they're gonna they're gonna need them later right yeah there was Alli Thompson almost on a self on a self draw I like to see I like to see Alli Thompson getting a little time in the circle she hasn't had as much time to draw this year primarily I think because it's just been more and Addy Jordan been doing such a great job but Thompson Thompson's generally very good on the draw especially on on the self draw she's got some
height she's got really good touch with that stick and um you know she was great last year I'm sure she's going to continue to get time in the circle yep so westside's got a a nice little box going on here trying to find a spot little Aaron pass there oh what a save almost picked up good defense though yeah see Jillian Stevens out there number 14 oh that could be what we going to get there shooting space violation think so yeah I think so too I think so so I think yep Jill Stevens is out there and uh I don't know if I think that's the only looks like the only change from the starting lineup let's see if Jenna Holly can make a stop Oh that's oh wow just missed Hannah Taff right there
that's going to oh they yeah that's going to be was she in the circle no I think I think they're just calling white ball there okay yeah hand was back there quick so oh one there you go let's see what who got that Jillian Stevens has it a really good tight pass there m whitler using her speed going down the left hand side she is flying and moving and grooving what a really good pass I love to oh wasn't sure there Alli Thompson with a good pick up and that is gonna be a dart right there you could see that one coming Thompson to Jordan and in the goal 10 minutes remaining in the second quarter really good passing there beautiful beautifully done like you know mack down to Addie Jordan and and yeah that
last little Pass Perfect yeah really quick Holly to Stevens to witor Wht used her speed ran down the sidelines pass over to Thompson who looked like she was gonna kind of set up the offense then snuck a quick one in there to right Jordan who jammed it in the top leftand Corner seven nothing lead very nice symmetry there that's what you like to see and yeah so we got Thompson on the draw again we do Thompson on the draw and I'll tell you what this is good to see because I know that somewhere down in Florida Thompson has a lot of fans watching right now I want to give a big shout out to Janine and Allan Johnson wow Alli Thompson's grandparents who are incredible supporters of basketball but elcat the whole nine yards so
it's good to have them there I know I know Jen Thompson's down there there as well so a little shout out to really our fans I think is I don't really they think that they're watching to watch their kids and grandkids I think they're watching to listen to us Josh I mean it's hard to imagine that that's not the case but you know but it's it's a win-win for them because they get to get a glimpse of their kids as well or grandkids absolutely absolutely I totally agree and if they're not smiling right now I don't know what's going to make him smile they uh maybe a glass of wine or two we'll do it here's monno setting it up going this way where's moving grooving goes oh fired and then plows somebody over after
firing it into the top right hand corner yikes little insult injury there that one went in with a little bit of pace it did yes really good pick there by Mack I'll call it the Mack and monno show right there Mack set up a great pick mono moved left and then just kind of fired it in there top shelf eight nothing I also noticed that uh you know witw and monno have been working with a little bit with the uh one of the assistant coaches of the men's lacrosse team at Springfield College and I noticed that he's here Ryan Lynch is over there taking a little taking a little uh look at some of his pupils and that one got oh that's a yellow card a little a yellow card we got to wait and
set this one up but it's nice Ryan here with his son Teddy and his fiance checking out his pupils which is nice to see a dedicated and committed coach y it's great yeah it's good there's Thompson down there I think she knows that family's watching so we're gonna see if we can get her on to the scoreboard that's what we need and oh what a good onew from morno to trulio very and here it comes and it's going out of bounds that's going to be white ball oh tough call call we'll have to Che that one back out on elcat 8 minutes and 50 seconds remaining in the second quarter and she's beautifully done oh and again takes down a Westside player in the process so you don't see that one every day speed they
call that LAX IQ I believe so good anticipation of that pass going to the goalie made a little cut and boom put that one in the top shelf yep very nice and looks like the defense is having some fun with that one yeah doing a little uh little celebratory bowling gesture which you don't see a lot of no but I think what's happening they like I said they're watching that college lacrosse stuff and they're seeing the girls on the women on the sidelines doing the same doing all sorts of these great gigs and everything and it's oh she moved yeah a little penalty there it's gonna be East long metal ball moved that the you know I oh e good play there by Mareno yeah yeah saved it from going out of bounds it's gonna
be a tough pass mono's got this one swings it over to Thompson Thompson swings it over to whitward and that's going to be a shooting space violation on 21 very nice movement there I mean Whit's fast but I would actually at nine nothing I'd like to see what her Power Shot looks like okay but we're not GNA see it looks like she's see the Run she's going on in maybe not good pass to Thompson and for the fans at home and down in Florida as predicted on time announcer dream Thompson gets a pass from witw and puts it in the top shelf goal Thompson that was the the sun Sunshine State special right there that is it that is it you can rest easy tonight because you're on the board that's right I I you
know what I think every time Ally touches the ball they should do a sip of whatever they happen to have around them at think about 7:4 at night what ever that happens to be that would be a good game to play it would be a good game to play yeah I I I and they may very well be doing it we should see if they send us a text yeah YOLO you only live once I mean go for it another really good self draw though yeah by uh yeah number 25 yeah melli is what I'm going with I am too I mean it's not on our list for some reason I think they maybe I don't think I typed it in wrong because I cut and paste it so they probably just don't have uh
okay her number on there for whatever reason or they or they put it in the system wrong so okay could be I'll go with that draw number 24 masad Deli or number 25 yeah yeah they're passing it around here it's on the ground Moro monno is just this this not a fair fight I don't think right there but she went over the top over the top oh yellow yeah all right she did go over the top though probably a little bit unnecessarily yeah and it is 10 nothing by the way which means that that clock is moving and will continue to move is gonna spend a little time in the yellow chair good old yellow chair yeah she's been there before in the house I can tell you that so this is not an uncommon
experience for her yeah all right well you know maybe you'll say more about that as the game goes on I mean it's POS it's highly Possible Oh Johnson or Addie Jordan took that off the chest made a nice little play to stay with it and it's funny you know what's interesting about that play is I think that that is actually a rule oh she just needed to look a good look there by Jordan right into tro and just didn't look at a goal before she did it oh there it is there's a left hand very quick yeah emerge from the defender and just let it rip so you think that that if you use your chest on you can't do it yeah I'm pretty sure I will want to say I'm positive but I'm pretty
sure that you are not allowed to use your body lock the ball in the cross I think if you're I think if you're using your stick to try to get the ball and it hits your body but I think this you think she was do you think she yes I clearly if we go back and look at that it's probably six minutes to go in the second quarter and you'll look at it I mean it was pretty clear she almost used it like it was a soccer ball bounce on the ground use your you know use your okay stick your chest out let it your chest and then get it yeah I don't think you could do that but I would you know the right person to ask coach Moses all right should we bring
her up here or is she busy she looks slightly busy right now I think she's actually retrieving a ball at the moment well Marino on the draw and then gets absolutely destroyed by number 17 taken down po just po her yeah basically we got a couple of substitutions I should mention so um calib is in as is mne okay on offense that's good to see we should note that and oh yeah a little bit behind her still something you know I would say something that she should have caught but certainly witw can certainly catch that yeah little it was certainly through traffic yeah and a little behind so all right four and a half minutes left in the second quarter here and the clock is oh oh nice play by Thompson oh nobody causes more
turnovers than Ali Thompson she is a turnover absolute turnover specialist for E lto year after year last year she definitely won the most cause turnovers this year she's certainly on Pace to do the same thing yeah she's just always in the right spot near the ball I guess people don't see her coming I don't know I mean and you know it's interesting because she has a lot of it seems to be timing with you know that she just sort of recognizes at the last that right up playing around oh good cut good pass and a great shot by Thompson there yeah again that off ball movement you know there were two players looking at monno and Thompson just cut in behind him wide open monno gets the pass to her wide open shot goal Thompson
back to back and the tough part about that right is if you don't double monno or triple morno right she's gonna probably beat your player one1 oneon-one and so you're going to draw that kind of coverage absolutely it is now Josh why don't we tell the fans what the score is 12 to zero yes 12 Z okay I mean right now we're talking in we're in blowout range we are uh but the way Grace rapold has entered the game for uh Grace Howard excellent as we make sure to let people know who's out on the field and Ellie Thompson battling with uh our good friend masca durelli who makes a nice play there tries to get up to number 10 which we don't have in our sheet so she'll remain nameless yeah maybe these are
last year's numbers for all we know who knows but this is what was in Arbiter live and we're going to go with it oh great play by love that i' love seeing that from Holly great anticipation what a difference from last year yeah she would have sat back sat back in the goal wasn't really come become part of the defense yeah yeah that was terrific oh and wide open to mne makes a nice little move oh gets knocked away but we got we got a eight meter there for Sabina good little move there yeah what a play by Holly I love to see it just the confidence difference between last year and this year coming out of the goal being part of the defense anticipating passes you've you seen it from the beginning of the
year right on through and I just hope it continues she's continuing to develop her skills and uh her ability as a goalie and as a Defender mne mne oh quite a too bad yeah nice little save there by the goalie he was right on her doorstep and Rayle had a good little play there get knocked away and morno picked up the loose ball and surveying the field yeah going to swing it around a little bit Addie Jordan's got it Jordan sends it to monno mono's got a one-on-one here they're going to set up a two-man game I don't know what's going to happen here this doesn't look very oh sets it back up G to try it again go the other way here it comes they double teamed her yeah kind of reach towards the
head it could be a yellow they might let her off the hook nope they didn't so that's actually the second un champman the second yellow yeah well how many those can you get before I I forget the rule I mean we East meow did have a problem last year they actually played one game two people down early in the year right I forget who it was against chelsford the one in in Easter Mass was it chelsford and they they played down two players with that whole almost the entire second half and they still won wow that was a great great great win gritty for sure yeah that I remember that I remember that final a at 8 meter and she just Jordan does not miss those right over the goalie head between leg bottom left
bottom right she's got all the shots there from that position she's left is there well you could hit the goalie in the chest get a rebound catch it and then do it but no I mean yeah she's just got the the talent and the ability on all those eight meters to just go anywhere and she's got a very quick First Step so yeah and we're at 13 nothing I don't maro's gonna take the draw here so yeah maybe I don't know we got 30 seconds left of a running clock she's jogging out uh we'll see what happens see if Marino not enough time to do anything Mak magic this is what you call this is this is called a stat getter okay if you can just get one more in here you can increase your
draw control percentage and again the self draw and it flips up and I'm gonna go Stevens with that nice on the circle there with a good play there by Jill Jill oh little eron pass yeah I mean that's you know she was trying I I you can see what she's trying to do I mean she's normally a Defender she's coming up on offense absolutely agressive play on the circle to get it you know and you're you just got to get a little time we're going to come back in about five and a half minutes with East Long meow winning 13 to zero e e e all right everybody welcome back this is Josh Weiss we are ending half time uh at the Spartans versus West Springfield uh it is 13 nothing Spartans thus far uh
has not been the uh the most competitive of games the Spartans have been pretty much doing what they've wanted to do and what uh they've been able to really take control of the game um not too many field in the first half but we'll see if they can uh some good runs in here and put some more pressure on the Spartans but so far uh it has been relatively smooth sailing for East Long Meadow and on the draw looks like Ken Marino again yeah again another like yeah it has been slightly physical tonight yeah I mean at times for sure yeah I will say this though this the the the Maselli has drelli has done yeah a phenomenal job on the draw I mean it's almost all self draws right to herself she's got some
height yeah she's getting up there and she's getting them and you know so that that I'd say that's probably been you know the most impressive P so far they're bright spot for sure yep yeah absolutely you know and they're you know anything that hits the ground is yeah really nice play Yeah by by was it Jill Stevens chill yeah great play again ball gets on the ground it's hers she just has to slow it down a little bit Keep The Possession don't rush it to turn it over you know before you get to the 50 I mean there's lots of good great shots she switched hands yeah went from left to right and then and just snuck it that was a tough angle she was almost parallel with the with the goal very ni look
like it went right got it right between the goalie's legs a very accurate shot yeah but that's the thing right that turnover before they get to that 503 yard line just when the Defenders get it they have the speed either run it or don't be afraid to slow it down and throw it back to Jenna Holly and kind of do a reset and start but we don't need to rush it and turn that turn it over right there right and I think that's you know that is um something they really do need to work on because you know when you're comfortable you don't feel the need to rush it and there it is self draw Mas Deli and Moro comes [Music] in now that she's mad they're gonna chase each other and you're just not
gonna no not many people are in this in this division that's for sure Jordan over there to Anna macarini macarini needs to get on the scoreboard here I think yeah and she's looks like she's about to one way or another oh there it there it is we called it she wanted it you could tell she hadn't been on the scoreboard yet lot of offense we call that the maccarini glare that was it you could see it from way up here in the booth I think her dad actually had something to say to her at halftime and said if you don't get on the scoreboard it's G to be dinner tonight and she made sure early into the second half that she put her you got to eat name and number into the books Gotta Eat
You Gotta Eat You Gotta Eat now 15 to nothing 15 nothing coach Moses is still doing coaching up she's down there coach Maza they're doing a great job this year tag teaming yeah coach is doing she's down way down absolutely dedicated this is more like he finally stopped it from oh nice play by Marino there smart oh woo and Moses just tried to call it timeout now let's see here what Weiss does yeah timeout there uh Tio yeah interesting time out there yeah I don't know it looked like maybe Marino was a little bit mad at something so Moses called a time out yeah kind somebody makes a mistake or gets a little yeah you don't want to see sticks flying in the wrong direction or people getting mad in a 15 nothing game I
mean it's yeah no sense getting HT or getting injured yeah and hopefully she'll get some of these other girls I mean she has been putting in some of the others but I but there's a couple more that be nice to see them get a little time here I think she's been doing she's been doing a pretty good job I think all year of kind of rotating people in at the right times and getting them their their time and their experience yeah when when the opportunity presents itself y well I think a good use of a timeout you know it's interesting I sometimes I feel like coaches don't use their timeouts as as much as they should and at moments where you know yeah may not be the most opportune but I think she sensed there
was something there to talk about and to yeah to get everybody on the same page which is a good idea absolutely absolutely lot hands here tonight from Westside across the way some eastl Meadow fans here in the stands braving the weather which is again really held out quite honestly been pretty good yeah started out not so great but it's it's been okay yeah it's nice and warm yeah let's see who's got it here looks like Thompson's gonna start it out she's bringing it up the middle she's kind of clogged up there that is just not a great not a great I mean that's very rare mistake there by Ali Thompson on that pass kudos to the Westside Defender for getting her stick in the passing Lane but you know that's one there again we don't
want to have those turnovers in transition we can avoid it but there's is still like treating it like a field hockey ball and yeah she could go the distance here I think she's gonna want to let's see if she can get yeah she is she's she's you don't see her turning back do you I don't know I don't think so no she's gonna she's looking at it oh made a good pass to macarini i' if I were her I'd stay in there and she is she wants no part of going back yeah and she's cutting to the net too let's see if she could perhaps get a goal oh Anna Mack makes a nice move and sneaks it in the corner that's it dinner on Friday too really good she is earning her keep all
around the goal Macar good stuff 16 nothing seven and a half left in the third time is as you like to say flying butt it sure is so it sure is sparts have uh a tough matchup this weekend right against we think a tough matchup I'm sure against Grafton those eastern Mass and they're more Central Mass but um but I'm sure they're a very solid team so these are those are great uh uh great games to be getting into and challenging the girls and just as we say that it starts to rain again yeah about that that's here we go up they go and who gets it it just take it Kenna this is more like it I like to see that your speed you got great speed use it you know very people are
going to keep up with her even sticks in her left hand or right hand doesn't matter just take it and get it into the offensive zone yeah look like right now we got Grace Howard up there on offense and is that little that's Sabina mne an a Mack again now we got trulio cominging to the right coming to the right still covered still covered still covered needs to kind of find a way out it was that's going to be a shot though that might be Easton medal ball I think so yeah yeah yeah nice hustle there by Sabina technique absolutely coming back from the track getting it onto the field brings it into and she came into play didn't make that mistake into the field of play absolutely monno has it 550 left gets it
over there to Howard Howard gets it down to macarini and then an Aaron pass Howard hustles as she always does oh and then f it into the corner there yeah that one was you know that was I call that a college level pass because it was maybe closer to a shot in terms of its speed but it was the right idea to get it right try to get it over there but it just went a little bit too far A little too much muster on it to be caught but she'll I'm sure she'll sauce good run here absolutely good pass and if she doesn't get rid of it she's going to lose it yeah goes flying on the ground trash on the ground if the stick comes out of the hand something like sounds reasonable
yeah this is trouble for number 17 she's like yeah she's surrounded like the Alamo yeah like she's in an alley you know I was going for the Alamo but okay I'll go alley I'll go alley trying to pull out a historical reference here oh what's the Alamo just kidding I'm kidding I'm kidding I'm kid well you looked at me like I'm serious oh God you're gonna upset our listeners they're gonna think this is not a all right oh god oh oh oh and what I takes a dump oh so let's see what happened there well they're going to kind obstruction I don't know they might call morno for something I don't know if it's really a call but monno is gonna not say anything there 21 is going to get an opportunity Audrey Canada her
first opportunity to put it in the back of the cage and she is oh what a great save by Holly beautiful nice play by Weiss there and Weiss gets again you know always say even if you don't even if nobody hit when you're running after the ball if you just trip and fall down the refs will call it you're not suggesting that was a flop are you I'm not suggesting that but I have encouraged it before yeah because it's hard not to call it when everybody's around and you did she almost score on herself she was and just then just a turnover yeah just sloppy passing in that before the 40 yard line those first like two passes yeah so important and they've got long term long term I mean not for this game long
term we're trying to find something you mean a l so much positive things to say of course it's you got to come up with something different than just but I mean again we saw that against Walpole where you know like those kind of mistakes really come back to haunt you and here it's not a problem there another great save yeah so but here we go now let's see what we can do here okay to there it goes this is more like it I like this little spin move to uh Grace R Deep D Deep D go backwards go backwards to Grace Howard good catch good good pass there don't be afraid to go backwards there we go got mne yeah that was good though right there I like that oh oh not such a good
pass there no and the rains those are the things there it is turn over y two and a half minutes left in the third running time good play by Stevens knocks it out of the stick picks it up now let's see what Stevens does see if she slows it down time takes her time good little Shimmy Shake she does she's got speed so she can use it she comes this way now she's in the middle this is what I like here I like this get it right over she's she's just going she's going the distance there's not any doubt in my mind oh she shes it yeah it looked like Stevens was going to go Coast to Coast I mean I was encouraging it really I mean you run 40 50 60 yards just take
it to the house in a 16 nothing game even if you get a penalty I mean yeah honestly Jillian's gonna go back and regret that she ran 60 yards and didn't shoot so Grace Moore just came in for Talia Weiss on defense that's good uh we got some popcorn happening Bing Bang Boom up we go through the legs down it goes here we go let's go oh yeah that looked like a hockey check look at this now we're playing all sorts of sports I don't know what that what's that one golf golfing that looked like a little golf shot I what's the uh Irish sport is it it's not curling is it curling or they oh oh on the coach wow you don't see that often do you well I guess you see it once
in a while but uh the coach I'd like to see the coach go sit in the yellow chair left if I were the co I want to see a coach in a yellow chair that's like a kid giving the father or mother a a time time out go to the corner and turn the chair around and have him face us would be even better so that he couldn't watch the game and even give hand signals is this like a premeditated dream of yours or just making it up on the fly it just kind of seemed like a good thing to do I mean if the kids got to sit in the chair yeah I mean we're all about yeah that's right accountability let's take some I why are we treating people different that's right it's
just not right no I mean he just gets to stand there yeah and he gets to send his send a kid to the chair right that's the oh oh yeah y yep little Aaron pass little bit yeah a little bit of her pass from mne and there just m oh good catch she was an air yeah here we go and Bing oh over oh that's a hammer to the head that's almost a red card we got a couple yellows here we're we're yeah experiencing a yellow out at the moment and two minutes Oh I thought they were gonna give Moses a penalty I'd love to see a double coach penalty they sit next to each other right and hold hands and hold hands that would be even better oh oh look nice play we got
seven seconds left in the quarter I this is going to happen this could happen oh and they're not going to get it off that was probably one of their better chances I would say it was but unfortunately we are back in two and a half minutes in a 16 to nothing blowout the Spartans over the Terriers of Westside e e e all right back for the beginning of to the fun right yeah it's kind of like a m a misty not really like big drops or flying in any direction it's kind of like yeah floating over the air making things a little bit slick yeah well hopefully the players will slow it down a little yeah you know no need to do anything crazy no no we got 12 minutes left once the clock starts
and the game will be over because we're on running clock right so we've got uh Jenna holl's back in goal we got Ashley be on defense with Grace Moore along with Grace Howard Ali Thompson Jill stens back up on the circle Mareno gonna take the draw I do like seeing this this Stevens on the and and has the height you know and she's got enough stick skills even at you know oh except that one didn't work out so good but she did get the advanced jump yeah now see this is where oh I really like that very smart I don't love that but a great catch by Ali Thompson very athletic to go tooro morno is GNA take her time set this up gets it to Thompson Marino comes to her looks like they're really
doing like a spread off here I think they're they're taking their time so Syracuse is when when the players are coming around and kind of flipping it to each other are there other iconic plays along those lines that have that label are there are they they do call out some other plays that are kind of like traditional College Plays so yeah so like that I don't know they call it the Syracuse I guess at this point and rightly so they should yeah I mean they should but I mean they you know at this point they might want to call it something else because we all know now as soon as they call Syracuse exactly what offense they're running so I'd imagine the teams that they've been playing against and the coaches they've been playing against
for a long time uh it's pretty much the same thing so I think they're working here on kind of really their spread offense for you know maybe later in the season when they're up you up by you know couple goals against a tough team you want to be able to really do that oh but you got to catch it yeah oh crap for the Titans Cal look like she yeah so fell on her yep little bit of a foul there no problem Marino had a wide open one there but just kind of dropped it at the last second I I think it was a pretty good pass actually oh almost tro is back by the way from her two-minute uh okay confinement yeah oh oh and oh the bouncer kind of yeah was a tried
to do the bounce pass I mean nothing else has gotten past Holly tonight she played very well try to get that bouncer she really has I mean high of confidence coming out stolen B don't rush it here we go now here we go I'd like to see just run it over there's nobody open use your speed just bring it all the way through keep the stick close I like this play here no reason not no reason now take your time now take your time no rush there you go good pass I like that good play Grace good job Howard goes back monno comes up setting some things up here there's one cuts to the middle m going to get a shooting space looks like it I believe they blew the whistle right a whistle oh
oh what yeah I think so they are they going to call a goal I think we're gonna have a little referee convention oh interesting maybe they'll do like the Hokey pokei and turn themselves around nope they get together that's a quick consultation and they give the goal to Sabina mney very nice dumps that one into the back of the net a sophomore Sab mne monno making her way out of this game with 8 minutes and 40 seconds remaining Marino back on the draw Grace Howard on the circle along with Jill Jillian Stevens let's see what gets called out here they really have to try to prevent this self draw and it's been successful yeah it just for them yeah but again you see Stevens there body yeah absolutely and now you know getting in there
play by Grace Howard there wow very nicely done wow good play really like that y good oh a little behind her called that's called a to turn over not a time also it's not a timeout no timeout is little different I mean you should get a timeout for a turnover but probably I think that's probably right yeah let's it's on the ground who's gonna get it it's a fight it's a battle I'm gonna go with uh Jill Stevens comes up with it yeah well I don't know using her body really well there to Shield it the the offensive player and mne flying still going still going she's gonna do a Dodge Dodge left Dodge left into truo oh yeah here it comes Fireball not missing accuracy 101 Boom the left-handed sniper into the top left
corner Thompson back on the scoreboard look at look at the Trot though look at the Trot back by Thompson I mean yeah and looks like you know like a racehorse really you know just like is getting ready for the next like run right before you they come out of the gate boom they get that little Trot going I mean she's fast sort I mean she's fast like that so okay I mean why not good way good way to warm up well and you know her family is in Florida there's a lot of horse racing down there as well probably gambling down there right now on horses I mean it's legal yeah I mean why not I don't know I can't reason not to gamble myself is of course you have to be over 18 and
all those other good things yeah but I think it's 21 actually in Massachusetts 18 I believe it is good pass by truly Macar with a hatrick tonight in the top corner I think if you get three goals you get to eat for the week yeah and you get to choose absolutely and dessert and dessert and dessert so good shot there so excellent 19 to nothing Spartans with 550 left in the fourth yeah and we don't like to see time fly by but we also yeah you know it's flying I mean it's it's it is moving along it is it's only going to be another 5 minutes and 36 seconds and we will be heading for the exit yep slowly smile absolutely it was a great great game and there it goes again over the shoulder
Marino using her speed I'll tell you what though oh I love the bump who's that we don't we don't have her on our cheat number yeah they we got to do was fast she was and she I mean because Marino is one of the fastest players on Earth and and that girl she put a little shoulder in there too that wasn't look at that I love it by I love it by Holly saw that coming and went out of the goal almost got a turnover all by herself and then quickly got back into the goal as well to prevent sort of that you know freebie you're right it's interesting to to notice level of you can see the confidence that she's playing with whereas in the past she had it but not nearly as much
as oh is it in I think it's in got the top corner so unfortunate that was at quite the angle too sure was I mean it just snuck past her stick Holly on the verge of a shut out but can't say that it wasn't a great shot that certainly wasn't on Holly good good shot there nice job there by with a BL somebody Mr Mac who had that goal Kier all right number 15 for the Terriers Terriers an interesting mascot it is yeah they're not that Fierce are they no I mean it's not what I think of when I think of a it's not a Spartan right it's not a pit or a no you know husky right yeah they're not that terrifying either they are on the basketball court that much I could say
but for sure we're having a dog analysis now oh good pass oh great save what a save by Holly the old foot save great the kick save kick save you know I wonder if uh what happened in the Frozen 4 do we know I don't know me either I might have to check it out while I'm online all right go ahead I'll I'll I'll carry us along here I'll check hit the side of the post I'll check the ESPN app and see if we can get some college hockey scores because we had BC we had be playing Denver tonight right yeah and so I would like to know sort of what happened there oh let's go Denver over Buu 21 in overtime I cannot wait to go back and watch the end of that game
when I left the house Josh it was one- nothing Buu and Buu looked like they were absolutely dominating Denver for the first period and a half in the first period Denver had only three shots on goal really three wow crazy look at whitler she wants whitward the Freshman she wants one and oh that's a shooting space thank great call that was really nice play by the way by Thompson um on the intercept and to get the ball down so as we're combining Sports here let's see you know I wonder if whitw would put this one in her left hand from here oh oh good pass to Thompson and there you go yeah botom corner there it is great catch there that I mean I just think it was due to be Thompson I mean we
should have just called tonight Thompson night before the night started uhhuh I think that's what we should have done should just do player prediction who's going to be the player of the night maybe we should add that feature to our broadcast I think so Al Allie's dad here who's uh surviving the rain absolutely although got you know the rest of the family down in Florida sing their buns absolutely and I I I will say though I'm gonna give I would actually give player of the game too Jenna Holly oh yeah I'm with you absolutely she's had a lot of great saves I mean yeah no they're they very very good yeah I mean the score could easily I mean it would still be you know there's no doubt would be winning this game could eily
be 20 to that's exactly what I was going to say 20 to easily be 20 to6 easily yeah and some really and some really like you know not just your run-of-the-mill saves like like that kick save there was totally totally Oh e oop here it comes witler we're looking for one more here where round and round she goes where she stops nobody knows good idea but race is on now take your time don't uh oh that's off sides yeah even I saw that yep on Grace Ray there Grace Ray that is oh nice play by this is not this yep gets nudged outside good look to Cal and put it in the cor Cal with one off the post beautiful Nice Nice Shot great stuff right there so 30 approximately 30 seconds left in this
game 21 to one by the Spartans well Josh if I don't get an opportunity to say it later I I do want to say it's been a pleasure announcing with you again tonight it has been just likewise my friend really enjoying getting to know you better know more like about ELO right it's an important part of our and and by the way the rain is really coming down now just to add a little a little emphasis to your your your weather forecast skills I mean just meteorology I mean crazy there it is anyway elcat 211 Spartans take it over Josh great to see you Jamie Brook great job tonight and we will see you next time byebye everybody
