001good evening everybody from East Long Meadow High School in East Long Meadow Massachusetts uh my name is Josh Weiss going be doing a little play byplay tonight as the Spartans take on the minog Falcons uh last time they played in minog Falcons won uh and uh so this will be a challenge for the Spartans hopefully uh they had a little bit of struggles in that game and hopefully tonight they'll play a bit better and and uh this will be a good game so stay tuned tuck in and let's get [Music] started the Spartans are in their home whites minog in their Kelly greens uh tap goes to Alli Thompson over to Grace Moore uh into Grace Molton BR who cuts through over to Ken Mor up for a three look a little short comes up
002short spar's getting back on D minog coming down hard but uh long pass and out of Out Of Reach for number 12 uh woek and Alli Thompson's going to inbound the ball we got a press from the Falcons uh so Moreno into Thompson Thompson to Emma Goslin Emma brings it across midcourt over to Kenna Mareno looking for a teammate makes a pass to Alli Thompson uh surveying the field there over to Emma Goslin uh Spartan swinging the ball well underneath Ali Thompson and looks like Emma goon's foot was just on the line there so good ball Movement by the Spartans uh but no shot there so Falcons bring the ball in um toak uh comes up oh Alli Thompson with the interception up in the layup and nice nice layup and in from Thompson very
003nice play there good anticipation so number 11 for the Falcons is Holden who's uh bringing the ball up oh good defense there by Grace Molton Bray uh kicked back out number 15 in the corner for the Falcons in and out on the three good rebound by Grace Moore to Ali Thompson who brings the ball up again surveying to see what she's got on defense ball over to Grace Molton Bray over to Goslin Molton Bray cuts through uh Thompson on the top into Ken Moreno and uh woek makes the steal looks down Court to number 24 for a three that's going to be off Alli Thompson with the rebound back to Moore back to Thompson and the Spartans are bringing it up here and Thompson again surveying over to Grace Moore at the top of the
004key swings it across to Ken Marino to Thompson who thinks about it but then pulls the trigger and her jumper is a little bit long there rebound there by J Jan um it's number 11 for the Falcons comes through swings the ball around good block uh but uh looks like they call the foul on um on Emma Goslin on the arm for two shots so my handy Chi-Chi does not have a number 15 on it so we're going to wish her luck but she's going to remain anonymous Miss for the rest of the game so make the first one it's two to one Spartans six minutes left and she makes the second one so Molton B on the inbound to Alli Thompson Thompson little little stutter step there to Molton B Molton B brings across
005front Court getting a good bit of pressure she swings the ball over to Moreno in the corner Mareno out to Thompson thought about getting it to more inside but held back uh Ball's deflected away uh Janette with the steel into the corner to number 24 uh AAR ofar uh ball was stolen there initially good block by Grace Moore Molton Bray tries to get it to Ken Mareno over to um Goslin to Thompson for another lay in good ball Movement by the Spartans good look by goson there to Emma Holden has the ball for the Falcons number 15 drives to the basket kicks it out to number um jote with picks it up over to Holden over to wosi um of cark into Janette off the a little off Alli Thompson got the rebound but uh
006uh got it stolen away and and a foul on Ali Thompson after that uh we got two subs here number 13 uh Jayla holes is coming in and number 34 kayn O'Brien and for the Spartans staying the same so coms inbounding the ball underneath the Spartans basket Mareno just missed it and uh pass through from number 12 uh wosk uh and a little fast through the Zone there and we've got a timeout from the Falcons so 442 uh left in the first quarter it's 4 to2 Spartans so so far a good start for the Spartans U I think this is exactly the kind of thing that they want uh staying close in the quarter is always a bonus especially against a solid team like the Falcons and clearly they're I think playing a lot better
007than they did the first time around so that's what you're looking for we do have two fouls on the Spartan so far and nothing for the Falcons so we'll have to keep an eye on that don't want to get into the penalty too much but um we are coming back from the time out here and the referees are not so gently nudging them to get moving so it will be the Spartans ball underneath their own basket and so far they've been able to break the Press quite handily from the Falcons uh and so we'll see if they can keep that up so Thompson inbounds to Molton Bray and the Falcons kind of pull back on on any press there Thompson with the ball at half court looking around surveying the field uh comes left then
008goes right over to Moreno Moreno again looks she sees Goslin but passes on that over to Molton Bray number 15's up on her Molton Bray makes a little move in tried to get it to Grace Moore picked off by number 15 uh over to White Tok number 12 good play there by Emma Goslin to interrupt the pass uh intended for Coles so Falcons are inbounding the ball 412 left in the first quarter we got somebody tying their shoe to slow it down just a wee bit all right so my Tok over to number 15 who swings it um Mareno right up on number 15 with some press it looks like the Spartans are playing a one two2 a three printer from the corner oh I guess her foot was on the line so uh that
009was uh of carc with the two-pointer uh pick there by Grace Moore Alli thomps swinging it around looking for someone to pass it to Spartans are moving Grace Mo's got the ball in the corner from Moreno Moreno sets a bit of a pick Grace Moore goes in and look like she's pushed out of bounds and there's a foul on number 24 for the Falcons O carac So Thompson inbounds the ball under the Falcon basket surveying the scene trying to find somebody use open she finds Goslin makes a nice catch looks around gets it out to Marina 32 seconds on the shot clock Thompson into Goslin she with a fake and she travels I think she wanted to go up with that uh but then thought better of it and just took an extra step it
010happens all right so coms inbounds the ball to O'Brien and back to Coles little pressure from the Spartans not a full-on press but uh Moreno lets her go and they slide back into this one two2 Flash from O'Brien across the middle slide it back out up top uh into the paint mve by O'Brien up and in and fou by Grace Moore nice up and under there move by O'Brien so uh Jill Stevens is coming in for Grace Molton brur uh 64 Falcons with 304 left in the first it's the third foul on the Spartans they can box out here Brian ready looks like it's going to oh that's some nice roll there good touch so uh integrace more from Thompson Thompson back to Thompson brings the ball up swings it to mo more to Mareno
011Mareno with a fake back to more more for three and it's good nailed it uh uh all right fosic over to Colmes Spartans are putting on a press O Brien makes a fake and gets past um beats the double team they swing it into the corner for another jumper short rebound by Jill steens who gets hit from behind and the ball stolen from comes Steven Steals it back but goes and over to the Falcons Falcons setting up their offense swing it again makes nice move by number 24 again uh of carc nice little floater Thompson uh bringing the ball up 210 left in the first 97 Falcons Ken Marino with a three it's long uh gosin battling for the ball with comes and they're going to call oh with O'Brien and uh they called the
012jump ball and it is going to be Falcons ball two minutes left in the first quarter so in brown to from O'Brien to comes back to O'Brien Spartans are pressing Falcons get through the Press swing it over to O'Brien back to Coles comes as wide open for a three that's going to be long um rebound by oark out to number 22 uh Manning and into O'Brien again Brien with a nice pass to number 15 and an andwin foul on Jill Stevens so nice nice moves underneath below and um just a little bit late on the come over from Stevens so 11 to7 um and Gosling comes out and Carolyn Haru is in 133 left it's a shot by number 15 and it's good 12 to 7 [Applause] Falcons Thompson brings the ball up swings it
013around to Moreno Moreno looking looking for some movement over to Thompson Thompson to Haru she cuts she thought about it kicks it back out to Moore Moore to Thompson Thompson begins to drive kicks it to Stevens in the corner out to Haru she makes a move uh knocked out of bounds by the Falcons Stripped Away from Thompson 7 seconds left on the shot colock 105 left in the first quarter balls uh into Moreno Mareno spins she's got two seconds on the shot clock and Stevens doesn't get it [Applause] off so 57.6 seconds left 127 Falcons comes with the ball uh over to O'Brien Jill Steven steps in front or Alli Thompson steps in front knocked Away by O'Brien but a nice steal there by Thompson to give the Spartans an opportunity to uh do some
014damage here so let's see Mareno invits the ball toaru out to Thompson to Moreno three from the corner it's off the top of the backboard uh comes with the rebound Thompson's right up on her and she kicks it out to number 15 swings it into oark out to 15 uh over to comes in the corner she swings it out to 15 fakes the jumper and makes a nice drive to the basket 20 seconds left in the quarter Grace Moore with the ball Thompson comes up she goes Baseline with a little elbow from comes and so 11 seconds left um in the quarter har is gonna bring it in from from underneath out to Grace Moore over to Ali Thompson to Grace Moore then to Ken Moreno into Haru knocked Away by O'Brien uh number 15
015with a jumper at the end of the quarter just off um so at the end of one it's Falcons so a good quarter there uh the Spartans were hanging tough um got a little bit behind there couple and ones really hurt um to to you know spread the lead a bit but uh it's still early and it's still quite manageable so we'll see what the Spartans can do here to start the second quarter looks like it's going to be Grace Moore Alli Thompson and Carolyn Haru Jill Stevens and Talia Weiss as the five for the Spartans coming in and and got about 20 seconds left before the start of the second quarter so in general it's interesting that the Falcons are not pressing they seem to they started that way didn't quite go well so
016they pulled back quite quickly I wouldn't say the Spartans are pressing either they're it's a bit of a halfcourt press it's not a full-on kind of thing and uh and so we'll see what happens here and and whether there's any changes for the spart as they go so white ball on the side Spartan's ball so Weiss is going to inbound it looks like to Thompson in the back court but we'll see how this goes so weisson to Thompson she's got Combs on her she looks around surveying some movement underneath uh and picked off by by ganette uh up and a nice leaning jumper a few feet from the from the basket there running running jumper if you will Grace Moore up and a spinning move nice move by the basket there really nice pouette uh
017so we've got um a little bit of a press Weiss is up strong against uh 22 Manning Manning over to 15 uh minog off of number 44 hands bo b Bas uh and it is Spartan's ball 16 to9 78 left Grace Moore with the ball she's looking she's got um Jill Stevens on a nice Cut blocked by number 15 Stevens gets the ball back tries to kick it back out to Thompson and uh nice hustle play by comes to grab it in front of Thompson um and Spartans get set up on D Al Weiss is on the top in this one two2 Falcons swing it w back all the way across to Colmes for three wide open off there Talia Weiss with a nice rebound and a foul on botus so Weiss slid right on
018in there grabbed the board and um let's see 16-9 640 Weiss inbound to Moore Moore comes down she goes straight into Janette Weiss picks the ball Up Kicks it over to Steven Stevens with the dribble travel uh got caught up a little bit with number 24 looks like Molton Bray and Moreno are coming in for Stevens and Thompson so in the front of the zone now where they press is Mareno Weiss on the left mol b or Weiss on the right on the left Mareno makes a nice effort there and good steal by Moreno kicks it down knocked out of bound by comes uh Marina tried to get it down low to Weiss good thought spart ball under the basket Weiss inbounding right into Moore Moore up and is fouled by jote so nice move
019there by Moore to use her quickness on jote to get through there so two shots for more 16 to nine Falcons front first one is off the front rim so Mo's got one more here more with the second one it's up and good Spartans have a press they're backing up a little they're picking up about uh third of the Court uh Falcons are swinging it uh around Moreno right on top over to Molton Bray um into Bas who tries to make a move on Mo good block by Moore Haru with the rebound to Molton BR Molton Bray coming up the left side of the Court looking for somewhere to go with the ball she swings it out to Moore Moore swings it to Weiss Weiss nice move into this in it gets hit but no
020no foul um so not quite sure what happened on that one looked like there was some contact but the ref saw it otherwise Falcons swing it nicely they look around trapped in the corner Weiss is over on the right hand side uh number over to O'Brien in the corner to White hes uh nice play by Moreno into [Music] Weiss caught from behind um it's a scrum on the ground and it looks like a jump ball I think it's Spartan ball let's see no it looks like it's Falcon ball okay so looks like we've got a different kind of press here from the Spartans two two2 one uh Falcons swing it um and Falcons break through there Moore comes up uh swing it on through good take hary with the rebound out to Molton Bray uh
021into Haru she swings around to Molton Bray Molen BR into Hari back to Molen Bray up with a shot and gets f on on the body according to the ref so good ball movement there by the Spartans and uh leads to a couple of free throws from Molton Bray that's three fouls on the Falcons this quarter so far none for the Spartans so a couple more and they're in the penalty which would be good wberry on the first and she's good nails that 1611 Spartans are hanging tough here so one more for Molton Bray see if she can swish it again and she rolls it on in so Spartans with their press this press is tightened a little bit further um 24's got the ball of car wice slides up over to oh and threee
022corner by white Tok uh fouled by Weiss um so she's GNA have three shots my Tok on the first one and it's up and in got a little mild heckling from the student section but that's to be expected so Vosk for her second it's a little less mild heckling on this one and who knows whether that was effective or not but nonetheless she back rims that one and the third shot for white Tok and the student section is getting a little Rowdy she front rims at um Weiss knocks it away from White Tok on the rebound Moreno to Moore Moore with the ball up top she makes it tries to thread the needle in picked off by uh O'Brien no by Manning and uh double dribble by O'Brien underneath so press here from the Falcons
023a little more than we've seen Weiss into more not a whole lot more uh Weiss has the ball bringing it up the court she's looking for some help pick from Moreno over to Moore swings it to Moreno Moreno to Haru Haru comes across the top over to Moore Moore to Molton Bray Molton Bray tries to go Baseline and she is is pushed by the Falcons player number 24 uh of carc out of bounds and forced a foul with the body cols coming back in for o carik Molton Bray is going to be inbounding into to Weiss she gets the ball swings it to Haru Haru to Moreno Moreno looking for um somebody cutting through Molton Bray goes in gets hit and and there a block uh mol BR took quite a tumble there tried to
024do part of a Euro Step kind of thing and look like she hurt her leg on the way through a pretty decent Collision there so she seems to be holding the back of her leg I'm sure that one smarted uh 1712 17713 molten B makes another foul by the way the uh Spartans are in the penalty uh so five fouls on the Falcons one on Spartans so far in this quarter Molen B with the second one makes that one 1714 with 343 in the second good game here at e Long Meadow High School comes to inbound the ball to another 15 Spartans collapse down on her she makes the pass to Manning stolen by Moreno uh and they called an over and back okay um all right so Manning to inbound the ball or Holden
025to inbound the ball to White Tok over to 15 in the corner Manning to White Tok for three it's long molon BR hunts down the rebound Tok tries to get it but it's off she's out of bounds and it is going to be Spartan's goal so inbound to Grace Moore Grace Moore's got the ball she's looking to make a move but kicks it over to Thompson instead Moore at the top of the key makes a move gets through and they're saying she's traveling uh L like there was some contact there but uh no call there so travel on more uh Falcons inbound the ball uh Thompson tried for the steal on comes over to jote to Manning 15 in the corner hary tries to close out which makes a nice move oh wow so that
026was up off the top of the backboard and in you don't see that often was quite the lucky little shot there uh but counts nonetheless so 1914 Falcons again another and one opportunity 15 at the line and she nails that so 2014 goin's coming in for Molton Bray who is hobbling after that drive to the basket 254 20 to 14 Falcons Thompson into Moore Moore looks like she's was going to make a move hit jump uh takes a three it's in and out gosin is battling for the rebound with Manning gosin comes up with a very nice hustle play there Haru makes a move and is fouled by Manning or Sorry foued by Holden um and Holden is coming out and Manning is coming in so two shots for Carolyn Haru here 20 to 14
027there's the first one for Haru and it is in good roll there nice touch from Carolyn Haru uh 20 to 15 and second is in as well very nicely done by Haru 2016 237 left coms to inbound the ball to 15 Spartans have a press they're going uh deep good pass across to to Manning nice block by Grace Moore beautifully done um Moreno back over to Moore timed that block perfectly Moore with the ball she swings over to Thompson in the corner Thompson fakes it to Goslin for three it's off the side of the rim uh it's like Manning is bringing the ball up over to comes comes to waos to Manning Manning swings it around she looks thought about a fake makes a nice drive and squirts on through for a layup 2216 with
028155 left more with the ball and see if she can use her athleticism against the much bigger that three-pointer from uh Ken Marino again and misses um comes on the rebound dribbled it out of bounds so it's Spartan ball under the basket inbounding is Haru Haru looks for somebody she swings it out to Moore Moore makes the fake uh knocked Away by uh Janette over to Haru Haru over to Goslin Goslin fakes makes a nice move to the basket drives hard and strong and lays it up and in very nicely done 22 to 18 with 126 left in the first half um Manning with the ball she's dribbling P trying to get past Thompson she swings it over to 15 gosland up on her uh good defense from the Spartans really tough double team on
029comes Hari swings out Euro Step from Colmes nicely done it's her own rebound up and in got a box out on that one that's a tough good move from comes uh and way to follow her shot Moore brings the ball up she again is looking to to at the bigger Combs um Falls knocked away knocked away in lots of ways and it popcorns around and Moreno comes up with it 46 seconds left in the first half over to Thompson Thompson looking for some movement she swings it around to Moreno Moreno to Moore Moore gets a pick from Haru tries to free her up uh no cuts through Marino tries to cut through and it's picked off from by ganette white Tok comes down over to Manning Manning slows it up just a little bitk swings
030it to Manning and looked like she travel there but um got the ball down swings it in to geanette um three-pointer from Colmes is off rebound by Manning and a foul by Thompson five and a half seconds left Spartans got to work the boards better I can't give him those shots many extra attempts there so five and a half seconds left the fou was on Thompson and shot from Manning is up and good 2518 Falcons O'Brien checks in the last five [Applause] seconds student section is now full on Rowdy and the rebound is long Mareno makes a nice steal up to Goslin with one second left she does her best to get it somewhere close to the basket and uh obviously a little short that would have been a miraculous shot there so uh at
031the end of the first half it is 25- 18 for the Falcons we will see you back here in about 10 minutes okay everybody welcome back we have one minute before the start of the second half again to catch you up 28 or 25 to 18 for the Falcons look like the Spartans are starting with their same five Grace Mo uh uh Grace Molton Bray Alli Thompson Emma gosin and Kenna Moreno okay 5 Seconds uh before the half is supposed to start we are Sons the Falcons on the court and here they come now and it looks like it's going to be Spartans ball on the side Grace Molton bray to inbound and it's a seven-point game so it is anybody's game right now so we'll see how the Spartan battle their way through this
032much better game than the first time around um so molten brury into Thompson Thompson surang looking for teammate they get a double pick up top um kicks it over to molten bberry molten bberry makes a move it's stolen by ganette uh kicked Away by Moore no call there rowski gets it over to uh number 11 uh Holden for a banked in three just start the half um Thompson over to Moreno Moreno back to Thompson Thompson bringing the ball up uh looking around she swings it over to Moore Moore surveying cuts through from Grace Molton Bray nice Cut oh and just misses the theay a nicely designed kind of maneuver there uh looks like it was an over and back no I guess not over and back they had never made it over according to the
033ref into geanette misses the bunny uh rebound by Grace Molton Bray passes it over tries to get it to Thompson knocked away Marino's got it to Moore so a little choppy beginning here for everybody going have to slow it down and uh start it over Moreno with the ball looking around teammates are kind of standing around um they are moving it over to Moore more across to Thompson Thompson makes a move Cuts in off the front of the rim rebound by Moreno Goslin looks to make a move here um kicks it underneath the Thompson it's knocked Away by Cronin number 15 I was told that's her last aim aesy over to Cronin for three um and it's an airball and hits the end line so Spartans ball so Thompson to inbound this the Falcons are
034pressing uh Thompson's looking for somebody she's surveying and gets it to Goslin in time Goslin looks around gets it to Mareno Mareno got some room to roam coming up from behind but gets it off to Molten B Molton brury to Moreno over to Thompson Thompson's looking Spartans are all spread out around the top cutting through Marino tries to get it through knocked down by weski more slithers her way through the lane and up and in with a nice Up and Under 2720 Falcons um Manning with the or holding with the ball over to uh to oark who gets it back to Holden Holden into geanette makes a move kicks it back out swings it around to a Fark short gets her own rebound um over to Manning another short one um and gosin with the
035rebound gets fouled by uh ganette nice rebound by gosin there um push on ganette according to the ref Thompson to inbound uh Marino comes in for the ball and uh she's got one-on-one with wowski wowski makes the slap away but Marino keeps it gets it to Thompson Thompson comes across half line over to Molton Bray Molton Bray looks for Cutters over to Moore Moore's at the top makes him tries to make a move on ganette slapped Away by ganette over to Thompson Thompson's looking around 10 seconds left on the shot clock to Moreno Moreno's looking for a move molten B's got it on the top and doesn't look like they're going to get a shot off no so Spartans lost track of time there just a little bit O'Brien comes in for geanette and um
036Holden is going to inbound the ball over to woski swings it to O'Brien O'Brien to oosi Moreno uh comes across and forces a traveling on the part of Whos wosk so wenbury into Thompson heac calls out a play for the Spartans um Moore swings it to Moreno Moreno sets a pick on O'Brien uh nothing doing Thompson tries to get it to more and she's egged when she's zagged so uh Falcons ball inbounding wosk into Manning or sorry to Holden Holden makes the a nice play good save by good steal by Thompson nice save by Moore Thompson with the ball swings it down to Goslin underneath Goslin falls down uh no call try kept in bounds by the Falcons and Grace mury steps on the line out of bounds so good idea uh like Emma felt
037a little contact but uh looks like she just went down uh maybe tripped a little bit and uh so no call there uh comes inbounds the ball to O'Brien O'Brien to oark Fark into wosk she swings it doesn't swing it looks to uh oark over to wosk drops it down to O'Brien good defense by Moore and Thompson and uh Goslin uh myos with the three it's it's an airball uh kept in um Goslin and there's a scrum and there's a foul on OB Brian it looks like for the Falcons good Hustle by Emma Thompson good hustle and good defense by the Spartans Scrappy Scrappy Scrappy that's what you want to see so 2720 341 left in the third uh Thompson into Mareno back to Thompson Thompson looking around they're setting up an offense kicks it
038over to Moreno Moreno to Moore Moore looks down she makes a move swings it back out to Marino Mareno fakes a three to Goslin 43 off the front of the rim O'Brien makes the uh solid rebound into vark makes a move on Goslin good defense there good help there by Moreno knocked Away by Thompson 315 left in the third quarter timeout by the Falcons so so again a seven-point game uh seven points at the half and we are still at that margin Spartans are hanging tough um certainly looks like on offense they're got to keep moving the ball and try to get it in through uh and some good cutting happening and they've just got to convert those shots underneath that's the key here is that they're making some nice moves they're using each other
039well and they just got a finish so that's what it comes down to so we'll see uh in terms of fouls the Falcons have two fouls thus far this quarter none for the Spartans again 315 left in the third quarter the SPs are going to have to just keep chipping away uh at this margin it's certainly very very doable and so we'll see how we go so it's Falcons ball on the side uh white to white Tok is getting the ball in and she kicks it to oark with Moreno up on her Thompson's up on her as well she bounces it off of marena's foot um and it looks like they're on the ground uh bit of a scrum uh vosa gets it off to O'Brien again Scrappy D here and uh that's going to
040be an over and back uh on the Falcons so Spartan ball on the side Grace Molton B to inbound the ball Molton BR looking she tries to get it to Moreno but Mareno was momentum was going the other way wosk drives on Thompson good block by Thompson and a foul by Molton Bray looks like a push with the body is apparently what he's calling that's a hold so uh Falcon's ball underneath comes to inbound she's looking she kicks it out to White Tok swings it over to oark toomes into Cronin and Up and Under nice move by Ronin Alli thomp with the ball coming across coming up to Mid court she gets it over to Kenna marino marino looks um she's got Molton Ray who's coming off a pick Grace Mo for three from the
041corner it's long Alli Thompson grabs the rebound she's looking for a cutter she swings it over to Molton Bray Molton Bray's got a pick from Goslin another pick from Goslin she floats it in the corner to Moreno six seconds left on the shot clock molten Bay throws up a wild three there uh and Thompson um tries to get it but nothing hit the backboard or the rim and so it's a shot clock violation uh Carolyn Haru is in for M Goslin 159 left in the third quarter Falcons and commonbound the ball swings it over to Manning Manning got a press um Smith into uh Cronin and then to ganette uh for an easy lay in uh Thompson with the ball with 143 over to Molton Bray back to Thompson Thompson to Molton Bray looking for
042a cutter he had head Marino but um Haru gets it into Molton Bray and Molton br's fouled on a nice little spin move and shot so Molen bray got two shots 129 left first one for grace and it's up and in nice uh look like tal we is going to be coming in for Grace molten brur after the free throw and second one is up and in so Weiss comes in for molten BR they've got uh a full court press here um coms is taking the ball in she swings it out oh more makes a nice play knocks it away but can't quite intercept it they're going to try it again 128 Falcons uh Moreno on Smith Smith makes a move back to Colmes Thompson is on Colmes she's got Weiss over to Cronin Weiss
043with a little bit of a push uh it's going to be frc's ball on the side Falcons ball on the side Smith to take it in okay into Janet to Smith Smith looks into comes comes surveys gets it to ganette ganette looks to to take that shot uh passes it up and goes hard to the basket pass Moore Moore with the ball coming up she looks like she's going to try to take ganette she attempts to and takes an extra step there according to the ref to travel um she had the right idea but it did look like she got a little caught up in the end there and and had to take that extra step ball into Smith Smith across to Cronin back to comes uh comes looks around knocked Away by uh Moreno
044towi into Thompson for two 3324 good steal there good defense there comes tries to dribble by three player she doesn't Thompson gets it then then throws it away uh up to Manning Manning stops gets it to Smith and blocked by Moore uh not quite sure I guess she got her on the arm there oh 24 was on Thompson so it was a clean block but I guess Thompson got her on the arm on the body so Smith has two shots 29 seconds left 3324 Falcons first one for Smith and it's good so 10-point lead for the Falcons so let's see if the Spartans can get something going off of this free throw Smith up and it is in and out more with the rebound uh ganette is on her and um more looks like she's
045bringing it up looking around looking for Thompson Thompson in and they carry on Thompson the first Carry of the game they've called so 16 seconds left Falcons up by 10 comes inbounds it to Smith Smith over to ganette tce on ganette knocked Away by Moreno Moreno to Moore Mo there's seven seconds left to Haru to Moore 4 seconds left Moore's got the ball pick it up Haru for three and it's off the backboard so the end of the third quarter it is minog 34 East Long Meadow [Music] 24 so the Spartans are so the Spartans are going to need a little burst here they got some uh you know some some points to make up here so they're going to have to playing some good D they've only given up 34 points thus far uh
046they just got to convert when they get in the lane um and so you know 10 points is certainly doable um but they're going to have to keep getting some good stops on defense and then converting those shots in the lane so Falcon's ball to start the fourth on the side for the Spartans it's Moreno Moore Weiss Thompson and Haru for the Falcons it's ganette Cronin comes Smith and Manning so coms to bring the ball in they got some pressure and it's into geanette good pass blocked by Moore and Then followed in by Cronin uh on a good good anticipation there Moore looks to try to make a move on geanette over to Weiss Weiss to Thompson Thompson thought about it um hits it over to Haru haru's looking Weiss cuts through Thompson to Moreno
047Moreno cuts through to Weiss Weiss looks makes a move in and up and in and gets fouled good move by Weiss there so she's going to have two shots at the line two tots for t o here here's the first one it is up and just a little bit high off the back R so Jill Stevens came comes in for Carlo Haru and Grace Molton B in for Alli Thompson Weiss at the line again for her second see if she can switch this one it's up and in and out that one was pretty far down but such is life okay so Spartans Retreat to defense uh they pick up somebody Smith for oh fakes a three into G and that kicks it out over to Manning Manning with the jumper and she Nails it uh
048Weiss to inbound to Moreno Moreno's got the ball uh it's a 14-point lead for the Falcons swings it to Weiss Weiss is looking around uh uh gets it to Molten BR in the corner molon Bray for three and it's off the front of the front of the rim up to Manning Weiss in Pursuit stops and misses the layup good rebound by Jill Stevens Stevens over to Weiss Weiss is looking uh pushing the ball hard over to Grace Molton Bray Molton Bray fakes and she is fouled by uh Smith so on the floor so no shots there 639 left 24 Falcons we inbound underneath the basket she's looking for somebody open right up into Jill Stevens Jill to Grace for a nice easy little bunny she misses that one tries to go up and under geanette
049is blocked and the Spartans Retreat on defense comes with the ball um looking around finds Cronin Cronin into ganette kicks it out to Cronin for three and it's off rebound by Molton Bray Molton Bray bringing it up slowly but surely um Smith jumps out on her to Grace Moore more looks like she's got some room kicks it over to Mareno for three misses it gets her own rebound or almost gets her own rebound back up to Mareno misses the layup good follow there but just couldn't quite uh get it to go uh Combs off of her leg um to geanette Weiss helps out uh into to Cronin look like some steps there but no call ganette makes a move Weiss slides over uh Smith with the ball over to comes comes into geanette she makes
050a move on more up in and [Applause] under so Falcons uh Spartans are going to need need to do something here pretty quickly so Moore with the ball on top Weiss cuts through clears out Moore goes up and is fouled on the floor look like on ganette I believe yeah block with uh Thompson in for Moreno and a couple subs for the Falcons as well Fark and wosk come back in for the f falcs Weiss to Thompson the inbound Thompson looks around who's around the top of the key over to Grace Molton BR mol BR to Moore Moore makes the cut in another one on the floor uh fouled by uh geanette again not quite sure how many that is got to be at least four and I think she's coming out for O'Brien so
051again getting some good cuts through and getting some good penetration you just got to finish off these plays Weiss in tries to inbound it to Mo gets knocked Away by ganette uh quick timeout by the Falcons okay 454 left in the fourth down 16 Falcons ball coming out of the timeout four fouls on the Falcons none on the Spartans at the moment this [Music] quarter time but the Spartans are going to have to start kicking it into gear and in particular start hitting some of these shots they're playing good D they're they're uh making some nice moves through the through the lane and through the Zone good movement on offense but they're just not getting the ball to fall and that's what they're going to have to do here to to make it work so
052the Spartan's got a press going on here Falcons are spread out and we're going to see where they go with this Weiss is on the ball comes is thrown it in tipped by Weiss over to White chos to Manning uh Manning oh loses the ball over to comes comes face takes good good block or nice defense by Weiss there to tip it away over to Molton Bray Molton Bray a little bit behind more more makes a nice play to keep a hold of it uh swings it to Weiss Weiss drives the basket good pass over to Stevens but like a little low and and she missed it so good idea uh just probably needed a little more of a bounce pass there but um subin here cronin's coming in for O'Brien uh Spartans again are
053in a press so Manning with the ball back to comes back to Manning Thompson onor Manning up to Cronin Cronin looks She's got wosik out to comes they break the Press successfully there white Tok to comes comes thought about a three over to Cronin in the the corner she makes a move on Moore and steps out of bounds I think oh uh he called a foul on Moore um okay didn't see that one uh but all right anyways so Cronin nope comes is GNA inbound the ball under the Spartans basket 409 to go 4024 with the ball gets it to comes in the corner she mishandles it and it's out of bounds Spartan's ball got to start buring some of these girls so more with the ball she's picking up a little bit of speed
054here gets it to Thompson Thompson looks around uh to Weiss Weiss looks in and we got a block on uh oark number 24 Thompson went down pretty hard seems to be okay uh little bump in a bruise there uh and that is five fouls so the Spartans are in the bonus uh and uh Thompson is on the line so 349 left 40 24 Thompson with the first one it is off the side of the rim Emma Goslin in for Grace Molton Bray Thompson for the second need these free throws or need this one free sure see if she can nail this it's up and off the back again good box up by Cronin there uh to White toic um and that's should have been a travel but um she was able to maintain control of
055it I guess and a farac cuts through the lane and is fouled by I think Thompson let's see what the ref says yeah that probably four on Thompson I think Grace molony is coming back in um Fark up for the first one and rolls it in Molton Bray and Moreno for Thompson and Weiss 337 left perk hits the second one and the Falcons are up 18 so Mareno up to gosin she's wide open she goes hard to the basket gets fouled and oh just rolls it out uh would have been a nice and one there but um good good take good move in there uh and good to um see Emma Goslin wide open and get that ball down to her first one for Goslin is up and in uh molten BR comes out Thompson
056back in and uh looks like Weiss is coming in for gosin after the shot it's up and in and wi is coming in so um Manning to inbound the ball it's 4226 uh O'Brien has hits the ball up to Cronin and Cronin over to ganette ganette with the jumper its way off um and saying the ball went off wh his hand out of bounds mosi's mosix inbound the ball to she looks survey she's got Cronin Cronin makes a move on Stevens makes a move nice defense from Kenna Moreno uh gets the rebound Stevens back to Moreno Moreno looking around to Thompson Thompson looks Grace moris cut through nice move up and in but misses the layup uh tough one there would have been a nice layup but Talia Weiss on the ball uh geanette there
057and Stevens is on her Weiss up on Cronin Cronin into Fork she makes a move through the lane left up and in pass Stevens Thompson inbounds the ball 4426 is running out on the Spartans here uh 18-point lead Marino with the ball um swings it to Grace Moore Moore tries to send it through uh a little miscommunication between her and Stevens a little too far white ball off of a Falcon's foot uh 227 left and coach heac takes a timeout for the Spartans um and so the Spartans have quite a bit of work to do here to to get back into this it's going to be pretty tough but they're going to keep scrapping down 18 with 227 let's see how they go from here again making some good Cuts uh Etc it's just some
058of those coming through just not uh able to convert I think that's what's what's uh killing them in this game they've done a pretty good job holding the the Falcons to 44 points pretty sure uh their season average is probably more than that and the Spartans are well below their season average with 26 points today the referees are cajoling them ever so slightly to get back in the game and here they [Applause] come so Spartan's ball Alli Thompson inbound out to Grace Moore Grace Moore look thought about a three gets it to Grace Molton BR she launches a three and she Nails it uh so 4429 15-point lead Spartans are up playing tight D they need a turnover here uh Grace Moore tries to get there almost Cronin sees O'Brien cutting across O'Brien goes up
059for the layup and is fouled by Stevens good break of the press by the Falcons there couple of passes and they were able to maneuver around two for O'Brien here first one is up and short off the front of the rim so the spans are going to need for sure to get this rebound and then they've got to start again jacking up some threes here to get back in this game O'Brien with the second one and it is a switch so Thompson to Moore Moore's got the ball she's picking up ahead of steam she slows down gets it to Thompson they're waiting for Molton bray to come through can't get it Moore puts the ball in the for three a little long uh Manning gets the rebound over Thompson Thompson to Cronin and they are
060content to use some clock O'Brien screams for the ball makes a move on the ground there's a foul by Molton Bray Spartans have four fouls so they're not in the penalty yet so uh Manning to inbound she looks She's got liosi back to Manning Manning back to iosi to Manning and Manning and just shoots it right on past her Molton BR inbound to Moore Moore is going to pick up ahead of steam here see if she can do something with it um she looks She's Got Mareno and Stevens a Collide in um the timeout was taken by the Falcons coach while they had quickly grabbed the ball so 122 left 4529 not quite sure what happened on that because he had two Spartans that ended up in the same spot uh so okay so I
061think one zigg did one zag but the result was that uh unfortunately didn't quite uh didn't quite get to the basket on that one were kind of stymied by themselves on that so 122 left 16-point lead for the Falcons and the Falcons are going to have the ball under their own basket and obviously the Spartans are going to be pressing and trying to get the ball back um need a steal or two or three or four uh in order to get back but you got to start with one and then you got to get some quick points [Music] [Applause] so on the court we've got more Weiss Moreno Thompson and Stevens and there we go inbound from Manning Manning looks and gets it to wosi she falls down Weiss ties her up oh doesn't Tire
062up they let it go and then Cronin breaks free gets it to Anette over to wosi who's got the ball on the top she swings oh she pulls it back out to Cronin one5 left 15 seconds on the shot clock back to Cronin Cronin over to Manning anding swings through looks for somebody open Cronin launches a three it's short uh battle for the rebound Moreno and Manning tie it up and it is Spartan's ball 47 .5 seconds left so see if the Spartans can get a quick one and then start pressing again so Moreno into Thompson Thompson brings it up um looking for some movement gets it to Grace Moore in the corner Moore swings around gets the ball stolen away wosi has it and that is gonna pretty much close it out stepped on
063the on the end line uh some good trapping by Thompson and Weiss Thompson inbound with 30 seconds left to Moreno Mareno over to Weiss Weiss turns and looks uh trying to find somebody open to Mareno Mareno to Stevens Stevens back to Thompson Thompson drives goes up and and in Nice Nice take by Alli Thompson 11 seconds left 4531 the Falcons are going to take this one see what the final score ends up being but two seconds left 1 second and that is the game final score from East Long Meadow High School the minog Falcons 45 the East Long Meadow Spartans 31 have a good night everyone all right
