004having a solid season a very athletic team both teams very athletic filled with multi-sport athletes looking forward to a great game tonight we've got some youngsters from East Longmeadow East Longmeadow Youth Soccer is here tonight managing the sidelines and the end lines when the balls go over the end lines it's great to see the youngsters out here supporting the high school girls looking out in the field and I'm sure imagining their dreams of playing on this field not so many years it may seem like a long way away for them right now but in reality it's only about three or four years they'll be out here playing athletic director down there Kevin McGee coaches on the sidelines West Side won the toss elected to have the ball East Longmeadow defending kicked right down the right
005hand side headed on out of bounds it's gonna be East Longmeadow throw in number four Ava men's gonna throw it in throws it right in there back to Ava man's Ava man settles it down passes it over to Ali Stevens Ali Stevens up to Thompson Thompson over to it's going backwards here number eight Lizzie Roman gets it over to Kenna Moreno Kenna Marino chasing it down heading out of bounds touched over there by West Side tries to maintain control picked up here in the middle of the field swings it down the left-hand side Mourinho using her speed to chase it down sends it out of bounds West Side throw in down at the uh East Longmeadow defensive Zone it's thrown in it's headed up it's controlled by islametto Addie Jordan picks it up sends it
006out here looks like Thompson's gonna put on a chase and does a great job uses her left foot it looked like it might have gone off West side but maybe not picked up there Ava men's has it number 18 using her body stepped in there again Ava men's has it passes it over it's coming down the middle great pass right there good look over to number five Caroline lukasik had it taken away by West Side coming down the end being chased looks like this one's going to head out of bounds and it's going to be oh she plays it a little bit of a risky play there but passes it up to men's men's has it uses her left foot gets it up to Thompson who keeps it under control passes it over great play
007there by number 11. Maggie Stevens moves it to the middle of the field number five lucasic giving on a chase balls flipped up in the air settled down off the knee back to Thompson and here we go she passes it up there it is ball is in the foot of Addie Jordan who's using her athleticism her soccer skills her strength making a move gives it a big boot which is blocked balls here it's up Sabina mckechney has it uses some soccer skills passes it back to lucasic puts a foot on it just bobbles it a little bit head ball on top there headed again a little push good call right there Islam Meadow gets a call Maggie Stevens was really in position there to put her head on it west side west side Defender jumped
008into Maggie Stevens gives East Longmeadow a free kick at the 25 yard line which really means it's about 35 yards to get it to that goal looks like it's going to be put in there we're going to see what happens on this kick it's flipped up it's a really good one whoa a really good opportunity there great pass in Maggie Stevens had it on her foot and she just missed putting that one on goal would have given East Longmeadow a great opportunity the goalie would have had to make a great save the ball was bombed out again Stevens puts her head on it here we go against it's passed back off the head it's coming back again mourinho's doing the right thing here takes it out to the side it's kind of a bumbling ball
009gets chased down good balls all over the place West side's got it it's headed out again number 11 Maggie Stevens has been really all over the field so far tonight she has been all over the field wherever the ball is bent that's where she is Thompson's got it on the wing she controls it she's got it back to men's men's goes back to the goalie not so sure about that pass right there uh going back to the goalie under those circumstances but goalie does the right thing comes out kicks it out of bounds giving away a corner kick foreign corner kick here for West Side Emerson video and the goal with a good play there stopping an opportunity oh a good ball there right about to the eight a good head ball there by Ava
010men's gets the ball out up to Addie Jordan over to Ally Thompson she's taking the ball she brings it up down the sidelines West side's kind of got that covered there's three girls back there it was really a one-on-three look to me there that Thompson may have had an opportunity to really carry that for a little bit look at Ava men's fighting through the traffic and getting control of that ball back to mckechny mckechny over here ball comes to Stevens she's carrying the ball again a good through ball got kind of stuck on the back of number five lucasics foot Maggie Stevens again ball up lucasics got it she sends it down the sidelines looks like that might be covered as well West side's gonna get a throw in [Music] head coach Matt Mosher assistant
011coach Hannah kolatsky assistant coach Kim Schwartz and the JV coach Joel katanzarite all on the sidelines tonight for East Longmeadow some metal had a tough game last week with uh Westfield it was a stormy day in Westfield on the grass Westfield got up to a two-nothing lead and then East Longmeadow with a penalty kick by Addie Jordan was able to get it to 2-1 and then the game was called unfortunately at halftime due to weather um so far this season Addie Jordan top goal scorer for East Longmeadow has two goals both on penalty kicks East Longmeadow yet to score a game a goal other than through a penalty kick throw in now by Kenna Marino lucasics got it it's kicked out of bounds I believe Maybe by lukasik and west side is going to take
012the ball they've thrown it up it goes off of mourinho's head over Ali Stevens has it brings it up it's settled down in the middle of the field lucasic had it again there just had it taken away Ali Stevens with a a big bomb of a kick it's coming over here Ali Thompson has it she's settling it down kind of just got that got away right there with the right foot but it comes back to her settle it down there there this is a much better play Here by Ali Thompson yeah even though that much better play I mean she might have had that one taken away but I really like the way that she kept the ball there because they're just covering that long pass West Side their Defenders are deep and uh watching
013out for the speed of East Longmeadow they know that East Longmeadow likes to play the ball over the top or that through ball and they're covering that right now so great play there by Ali Thompson to keep possession as West Side was backing up love the aggressive play Here by Ava men's getting right in on there same thing there by Jillian Stevens using her body to box out and that was a little bit more than a box out so it's going to be a trip there by Ali Stevens on number two from West Side so then again an opportunity here just about it's outside the box a good distance but it's at about the 10 yard line on the football field 32 minutes remaining in the game west side is going to get another opportunity
014here to put one in we're going to have it looks like we're gonna have a lefty kicker which means it's going to swing from left to right it goes right in on the goal and the goalie comes out punches it out of bounds west side is going to get another opportunity with a corner kick coming from number eight a left footed midfielder unfortunately the West Side sheet with the names that are very very small print so I'm not able to identify with my old eyes the names based on the numbers ball goes in the middle and an opportunity there as well for West Side it goes wide of the goal gonna get a goal kick here by East Longmeadow gets it right out right away Lizzie Roman has it she bombs it up the sidelines
015but right to a West to a West Side Terrier lucasic on it back again on about can a Merino throwing it in lucasic calling for it as she's running almost a big Collision there [Music] good play there by men's to block that attempted through ball this one's going wide [Music] men's defending two players defending right into the face no reaction there by Ava men's ball is just out of bounds off of Ali Thompson's foot gonna get a West Side throw in number 21 for West Side throwing it in some West Side players moving around gets off the head ball comes to the middle Roman has it kicks to the middle Sabina mckechny has it tries to get it up and does get it up to Jordan it's one on three right now it's gonna probably
016pass it over nope it looked like she had mckechny kind of cutting down the outside there but she tried a step around move if she had made it she was probably going to be one-on-one with the goalie a really good attempt good play here there's Stevens again all over the Midfield right now Ali Thompson chasing this one down using her speed and leverage passes it over lucasics got it here gonna take her time I like this idea passes it through Thompson's gonna try and Chase that one down goes just over the end line goal kick west side [Music] down [Music] head ball by Ali Stevens Ali Stevens has it right into the head of number three she reaches up but no concussion or anything like that she's under control almost a handball there good stop
017but West side's got it they Bomb It Up the middle good play there by Ali Stevens to get her head on it and said get islametto a chance to settle in its defense West Side throw in throws it sideways slash backwards being chased ball goes around to the outside it's going to be chased down by west side looks like maybe going to keep that in and does ball ends up out of bounds looks like we're gonna get two substitutes for East Longmeadow looks like Emma Susa number 10 is going to be heading in over on the right hand side and Megan morno coming in and taking the place of Ali Thompson on the left hand side is Sabina McKechnie I believe is on her way to take a little rest ball gets bombed up the
018middle there and it's chased down there's Susa getting involved oh a good heck good ball through ball there comes again number 11 Stevens has it here it comes it's on morno's foot she's got it I don't know what kind of pass that was she really took her time like she was going to be setting something up but then didn't do anything with it so here we go morno's got it now it's Bach back in the middle being chased to the outside good try on the pass there by number five Caroline lukasik tried to get it out wide to morno but just didn't work West side's got it comes around lukasik using using her speed ball comes back good play there by men's really gonna we're gonna get a field switch here ball goes over to
019Emma Susa Emma Susa settles the ball down gets it right over here to number 14. number 14 has it gets it over morno settles that one and doesn't settle it quite enough and gets it taken away on the sidelines there number five lucasic is on it Nissan Meadow kind of maintaining possession there good settled ball there by Emma Sousa back to number 11 Stevens again now morno's got it again settling it down back to Ava men's good possessions here by East Longmeadow maintaining possession good to see little touches back and forth ball over again uh good play there by Jillian Stevens Addie Jordan chasing it down two players in the middle all right Ball's going up looks like it's going to be the goalie that might end up getting that one looks like it's going
020to go over the end line good possessions there by East Longmeadow over the last five minutes they were really able to keep possession of the ball on the offensive zone until that one just kind of rolled its way down the end we're gonna get the boot here by Jillian Stevens off the head of more now more now heads it again looks like it's gonna go and now it's more now again settling it down using her body all right good play there another great head ball by I think it was Jillian Stevens again all right Ball's kind of making its way down you see Sousa trying to run it down West side's kind of covering it here ball comes back up gets covered Caroline lukasik on it Stevens near this one gets taken it around her
021a little bit back again good play there kind of Marino on a throw in goes down the line Susie using her and really really top level speed play there you ever seen East Longmeadow has really kind of settled down from their first two games I think that you're seeing a lot better passing a little bit longer possessions moving the ball from side to side moving it from player to player as opposed to the kick and run really think a good job there number number 11 giving Stevens it's a little rest he's really been a stalwart this game so far for the East Longmeadow Spartans as number 18 stepped in the game to give a little substitute Anna Roman giving Stevens a little rest she's gonna go over there and get some water chase down right
022there really good play right there very aggressive I like that and look at Sousa on the ball a really good pass there number five lukasik has it she's moving up the field she's got it oh and it just kind of snuck through but they've got it again it's getting booted up let's see if morno can settle this one another one a little bit of a hard touch there by morno gets it there good move gots it got it to Sousa Susa to number 18 number 18 has it gets it back to Susa Susa settling the ball down probably one of the best ball handlers on an East longmeadows team just really skilled with her foot you know never usually never gets away from her on it on a trap a good attempt there on a
023kick goalie's gotta make come out and make a little bit of a play on it good play Anna Roman giving that a shot right to Roman again she's got it sends it over here morno and men's are going to double team number four looks like that's going to be an East Longmeadow throw I believe [Music] it is Caroline lucasic getting a little rest along with Addie Jordan after playing 20 great minutes for East Longmeadow ball is now looks like it might be heading in the other direction not really sure what quite happened there but uh Jillian Stevens using her skill and her height and her strength to put yet another head on that ball this one's going to make its way through goalie comes out makes a save with a West Side Terrier running in
024good one there balls up almost a handball there actually pretty close Here Comes Ava men's has got it she flips it up number another flip and a flip and here we go that's gonna be a penalty there on number 15. good play getting keeping your body in the right position there Bella White good play Jillian Stevens gonna use her Bigfoot to try to boot it up there as far as she can and she does it gets up it gets through the ball is moving and grooving everybody number seven in the middle Emma Stevens right now up front you've got Emma Stevens in the middle Emma Sousa oh on the side Megan morno is over there on the left wing being chased right there by Kenna Marino ball comes to the middle it's moving Lizzie Roman
025one of the great Defenders for Eastland Meadow defends that one uses her head gets it out of bounds good play there moving in the right direction that one bounces over okay that one's gonna go to the goalie too a little nice save there comes on out make sure that the West Side Terrier doesn't get close enough to the goalie gives that one a boot goes over morno gets kicked to the middle not sure there we go Jillian Stevens has it Jillian Stevens has it now it's coming now it's back this way I will say West side's really getting back it looks like they're really getting back on defense quickly they're doing a good job of that good good ball movement here gets it to the other side I like that play getting it I really
026like that play they're getting it over to Emma Susa I like this aggressive play in the middle Seuss has got it she's gonna fire it off the foot good try there by Susa that's a handball there don't think the referee was able to quite see that one Kenna Marino chasing this one down the sidelines using her incredible speed and then Roman sends it or gives it a good ride Emma Stevens in the middle sends it over morno has it she's going to send it here coming back coming on here we go covering that it's coming back here to Ava men's I like this play a little possession ball morno has it thank you there's a good one there right to the middle Emma Stevens has it Seuss is chasing it down staying right on it
027being aggressive that looks like it's going to be a corner kick here for East Longmeadow an opportunity is coming looks like Anna Roman is gonna take the corner kick number 14 Bella white getting a break a big boot there off of a couple of heads oh [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the fans are cheering the defense there by Kenna Marino and Ava men's they were the only two players back as that ball was being carried out by number three with an incredible amount of speed coming out from the defensive end it's being shielded right now it's gonna be a goal kick good play there by Jillian Stevens to Shield that ball until it made its way out of bounds giving East Longmeadow a goal kick [Music] not sure about that particular play right there that's not going
028to get rave reviews from the coach just kind of booted that one down to the end line nobody was even relatively close to that one looked like some players were open on the right side of the field in particular have to check that one out on replay goal kick west side gets sent to the sidelines west side gains control Sousa with I'll call it a back check what a great play on the back check there it's able to get the ball and get it off of a West Side player so that Eastlawn Meadow could get the throw in look at that control there by Sousa look at this ball right there oh so close comes to the middle chase down it's getting kind of tossed around right here that's offsides there was going to be
029offsides but quite honestly the referee was not in position really there to call that offsides would have been tough if it went all the way across the other side penalty on West Side gonna be a free kick here it's like Lizzie Roman to kind of give it a ride we've got somebody here open in the middle looks like it's going to come on the ground they're going to get it over here to morno she's going to take it she's taking it down the sidelines just gonna go all the way down the end and line here and I'm not sure I think that was an attempted pass good moves down there attempted to pass it just kind of got stuck on her foot good oh double just no communication right yeah being held oh little cat
030fight there in the middle of the field between number eight and number three penalty on number eight Lizzie Roman defense heads its way back west side is going to get a a free kick here from about the middle of the field foreign ball goes right up goes to the middle right in there good play guess we're gonna get a handball maybe maybe a handball call there as the player tried to trap it in her foot it looked like it may have come up and controlled a little bit by her hand gonna be now a free kick for East Longmeadow ball gonna be kicked up by Lizzie Roman comes right up the middle good saving play there gets it tries to get it over to Sousa who comes back maintains control turns it around gets it
031in tried to get it over there in the middle to number 15 another great play there by Sousa on the defensive offensive side of the ball kicked out of bounds by West Side throw in Kenna Marino East Longmeadow [Music] foreign oh good stop there it's gonna be a Chase here to the sidelines looks like ball is going to head out of bounds and it's going to be a East Longmeadow throw in Ava men's to throw it in looks like she's gonna throw it in got gets it up there to number 15 which says no but he decides to cover a ball comes right in the middle now we've got something working here if we can get this thing moving we are ahead of Sabina mckechny is really moving but ballg just gets kind of stuck
032there chasing it down Sousa was trying to back check ball gets kicked out of bounds it's going to be East Longmeadow throw in Sabina McKechnie was moving down the middle of the field someone just kind of caught up to her there a little bit at the end and she tried to get a through ball to morno and a West Side Defender was able to block that pass and then get it out the sidelines great effort there by Islam metal players as they get arrest number 15. Stevens comes out looks like keckney's gonna take a little break in a minute here looks like [Music] ball goes through they let it go it goes out of bounds it's going to be a West Side throw in well sorry West Side goal kick looks like Emma Seuss is
033going to get a little break she's really had a great game so far Susa really good control the ball good back checking on good back checking and I'll call it the offense defense was really able to help I think Eastlawn metal maintain a lot of possessions right there in the offensive zone it's like coach is talking to her giving some probably Caesar that she really can be a Difference Maker in this game and kind of talking her up ball goes through there here it comes looks like West side's got it kicks it back looks like Thompson's got it oh so close right there so close user speed really closed in almost got that one from West Side lucasic having a great game also in the middle of field that one there goes off of her
034foot out of bounds west side is going to get the throw in gets the high toss-up number four kind of bonded at it here we go here lukasik has it gets it to Jordan Jordan gets it taken away from her West side's got it Jillian Stevens puts a head on it being chased down here ball comes around men's this could be got it this one kind of swings through the middle and it goes in the goal right there great swinging Ball by number 13 all the way across the middle made its way through in a really good play there by the West Side left Winger to just get her right foot on it and sneak that one past the goalie really good play 11 minutes remaining in the first half West Side Terriers with the
035first strike one nothing [Music] gotta give credit there on the cross goalie came out tried to get it but the terrier just was able to get her foot on it there and snuck around snuck around men snuck around Mourinho the entire defense good good offensive play not much really the goalie could do there scoring for West Side number 10 Angelina Robinson assisted by number 13 Amelia Smith [Applause] could chase down there by Thompson as Jordan tried to control that ball in the Middle Field went a little hard off of her foot as she tried to get it over to Thompson on the turf the ball just kind of went out of bounds [Music] it's like the terriers have been have been attacking down the right hand side primarily a little push there by number two
036knock down Ava men's gonna get a kick here by Stevens ball goes all the way across Kenna Marino has lots of space right here she's taking the space moves it up it's kind of a bit of a bomb Ball but it goes off of a terrier and out of bounds it's going to be East Longmeadow with a throw in Ava men's making her way down the sideline gonna take that throw in that's a handball there but it doesn't get called I don't know if because it was inadvertent or what the deal was but foreign drag out fight there in the middle of the field number 17. Mac very aggressive player in the middle of the field a very talented freshman [Music] it's a big kick there no one wants to kind of put their head
037on that first one that was a concussion waiting to happen because that ball was up so high and here we go again ball bounces bounces Cannon gets knocked down chasing it down good play there ball goes out wide gonna be an Eastlawn metal throw in ball gets thrown in morno has it out of bounds now west side has it couple of Subs here for West Side foreign metal fans cheering Ava men's is gonna get a little break right now as Grace Moore comes into the game replacing her on defense she goes and tries goes and gets some water kicked up there by Megan morno chasing it down middle of the field chased by lucasic ball comes up Moore gets immediate action has it gets kicked up gets passed morno has it she gets it over
038to Jordan Jordan's got it Jordan amorno oh Morna with a really good attempt right there just over the top of the goal great pass by Jordan it was a one-two punch more note to Jordan Jordan fedmorno down the right hand side she put a big right footed shot on that just went over the top opportunity to tie gone by here this one gets bombed up looks like Lizzie Roman a very experienced Defender gonna take this one out to the sidelines pulls it back right up the sidelines gets it over there to Thompson Thompson has it Thompson has it to lucasic Kasich using the middle of the field gets the ball over Mac chasing that one down morno also over there morno has possession morno maintains possession she's going to take it down the right hand
039side she's taking it down the right hand side ball goes out of bounds off of West side looks like Kenna Marino gonna throw it in it's like somebody there probably could have just gotten square with still going to be a throw in here ball goes back number 11 Emma Stevens has it over to oh that one just gets completely booted out not sure what happened there but ball comes back to Stevens back to the other Stevens ball gets bombed up the sidelines nobody there for recently should have said nobody there for Eastlawn Meadow and then came flying in was Ali Thompson who at least made the goalie have to do something got close enough to give the West Side Terrier goalie a little bit of a scare [Music] foreign in the first half good play
040here get that ball in the middle and we have it in the middle she's got it pass it got it passed up Here Comes Mourinho some really good passing there ball goes up and it's heading out the end line try there by Mourinho just needed to get that one a little closer to the middle of the field where the East Longmeadow Spartans were kind of hanging out instead just got it a little bit too far to the right there was nobody there to kind of Chase it down it was a little bit deep [Music] let's boot it up looks like the goalie's gonna have an opportunity to play this one picks it up Without Really any issues a really good kick right there probably one of the better kicks of the Season by uh the
041goalie right off the back Jordan over to Stevens over to Luke Kasich lucasic Ally and Stevens has it another Stevens good play there by McKenna Mac and Jordan really being aggressive there in the middle of the field [Music] Reno there trying to get the ball up to morno just a little bit hard on the pass and a little bit wide of its Target morno not able to get it gonna get a throw in here just kind of gets lofted up number 11 Maggie Stevens touching that one out of bounds I really like I really like what I'm seeing out of Maggie Stevens in the middle of the field uh tonight really kind of making you can tell just really making a difference from from the last couple from the last couple of games [Music] Kenneth
042with a big boot and here we go again they just kind of Bomb It Down picked up by the goalie goalie kind of changing changing sides of the field two minutes remaining gonna give this one another look another big boot goes up there to Emma Stevens ball goes over it's still kind of bouncing and bounding and bounding and morno tried to get it there comes back gets it taking it down the right hand side tries to take it down the right hand side again and it goes off of a West Side Defender with a minute and 45 seconds remaining ball comes back number 14 has it sneaking it through continues to sneak it through off of another West Side player he's slow Meadow getting another throw in opportunity here down in the looks like looked
043like a little bit of a push there on morno on that throw in and just have one minute remaining here a little back flipper kick I like that one comes in Mack is coming she's all over the middle oh so good little good little kick right there shot on goal 52 seconds West Side goalie taking your time a big boot there past the 50-yard line Spartans have it now we're going to get an opportunity here number five has it we've got Max got the ball in the middle of the field she's carrying it balls going morno's gonna get it off the head oh and another opportunity there by morno just a little bit high with 30 seconds remaining in the first half looks like the half is going to end with a one nothing Terrier
044lead on a very evenly played game if I had to say so myself but not even on the scoreboard it is going to be one nothing West Side at halftime as the clock runs out we'll see you in about five to ten minutes for the second half thank you foreign thank you foreign thank you and we are back at East Longmeadow High School for the second half of the girls varsity soccer game between the Spartans of East Longmeadow and the Terriers of West Side getting ready for the second half whistle has blown west side is down in their defensive end or offensive end they've got a long way to go to get this half started goalie's gonna do about a 80 90 yard jog into the goal Terriers come to the sidelines Islam Meadow was
045getting some instruction from head coach Matt Mosher at halftime Islam Meadow again yet to score an official goal other than a penalty kick so far this season going into their third game starting in the middle number two Addie Jordan's gonna get the ball back Megan morno number 22 on the right wing ball comes over Kenna Marino has the ball it comes up again number five lukasik has it it's touched over great move there by number 11 Maggie Stevens comes back again Kenna Marino has it sends it way up the sidelines flying past Morneau goes to the middle of the field Jillian Stevens tries to get it goes over her head balls now in the middle of the field and Maggie Stevens has it again chased here by number 14. trying to take the ball Maggie
046Stevens has it over to mckechny mckechney has it taking it carrying it gonna use her speed take that ball all the way up taking all the space then gets it over great pass there to Jordan Jordan gets it gets it to morno morno tries to settle it down taking it down the right hand side she's flying down the right hand side cuts it back needs to use her left foot here she does gets it again it goes off of she gets it flips it in and now Jordan has it Jordan's gonna get it take oh almost good positioning there by Kenna Marino Kenna Marino gets the ball to the middle a little bit of a weak kick caught it a little bit High a little bit off of the knee almost as she kicked that
047one to the middle but a good opportunity there as the ball went down the right hand side Kenna Marino looking for a ball here to throw in now has it [Music] comes down to morno morno yeah I got a little push from behind there by number 10 got aggressive on morno from behind got a push gonna move it up Lizzy Roman has it you see the Islam middle player shuffling into the middle to try to get this opportunity as Lizzie Roman's gonna feed the ball in West Side not even really giving the 10 yards looks like Lizzie Roman is going to hold the clock and they're going to count this 10 yards I believe going to give the 10 yards back they now have it whistle's going to blow Ball's going to be back in
048and we are off let's see if Eastland Meadow can do something with this one a really good feed there out to the sidelines a head ball right there by number 11. Maggie Stevens as I've said before has been all over the ball tonight good opportunity off the head just went a little bit wide goal kick here by West Side it gets boomed out as you hear the West Side Girls scream on the kicks Jillian Stevens just puts one right into the right into the gut Caroline lukasik using her speed taking her space not sure quite sure about that pass kind of like who was it too but she had a little bit of room and space to take it ball comes to the middle number 11 Stevens challenging challenging still challenging west side has it
049kicks it up good play there gets in the way morno chasing it down jogs through not sure if they're gonna save that one it goes out of bounds I don't know why the sidelines does not have an extra ball here I'm not sure what happened but it's going to be a long Chase to go get it girls are going down to try to get another get get another ball mourno sends a kick Jordan sends a kick off the knee Stevens has it Steven sends it more now chasing it number nine number over again and oh Steven's had that one got it taken away here comes number two is taking it a little back check there by Stevens another back check by Stevens a booming kick right there by Lizzie Roman off of number two for
050west side and out of bounds and yet another throw in I think this is going to be the career record game for number of sideline throw-ins a push again there from behind this is going to get very physical [Applause] Marriott I have a feeling number 22 and number 10 are going to tangle up at some point before this game is over it was pretty physical right there with no call by the referee gets floated up [Music] it just seems like all the balls when they're kind of bumbling around or just heading on to the onto the they're ending up on the foot of uh West Side those are just a lot of space right there for number 14 to take instead just kind of booted it up would have liked to see Bella white kind
051of carry that one and like just like here carry that one a little bit now sends it through it again off of Jillian Stevens head over here to Kenna Marino who's going to save it with her not sure about that play there really needed to probably put the body in front of it and save it with the left foot goes out of bounds off of Kenna Marino West Side going to get take a throw in here number eight throws it down the field gets booted into the middle number 14 has it back to Jillian Stevens who bombs it over to number six mckechny mckechny has it taking the space good play there to lukasik lukasik has it oh there's one goes all the way up the sidelines and look at mckechny go she is determined
052to chase this ball down and she does and gets oh almost a really good play there by West Side it looked like good play Here by Jillian Stevens to come over gonna send it back to the goalie [Music] that was a uh not the greatest boot by the goalie but East Longmeadow was able to recover to keep the ball in bounds Ava men's has it Ava men's almost with a pass Ava men's has it number 14 has it Ball's getting taken away here in the middle of the field number 14 is [Music] Bella white Bella white has it again has a lot of space here take the space Bella take the space there she does take the space really good pass right there Kenna Marino has it gets pushed again very aggressive playing right now
053by West Side especially over here on the right side of the field number 10 for West Side very aggressive gonna get another free kick here by Lizzie Roman 32 minutes and 30 seconds remaining ball is heading in ball heads in [Music] kicked out by West Side gonna be a throw in here [Music] kicked out of bounds Again by West Side just kind of had it I've had it there's just been a tremendous number of throw-ins in this game ball has spent there's been a lot of time good play Here by Jillian Stevens to switch Fields I like that settles it down Bella has it Bella comes back here ball comes over and comes over again here to Kenna Marino Mourinho has it but not really not a pass really at the end of the day
054it's just yeah there's a very aggressive playing The Ref is the ref is really just letting things play here and I kind of like it East Longmeadow does need a spark as some of the fans and the parents were down there talking to me at halftime just saying East Longmeadow needs something they need some type of type of spark to kind of get the offense going and to get a ball into the back of the net so maybe the aggressive play will fire up the East Longmeadow team to get them kind of moving in the right direction [Music] oh a good try there on the pass kind of try to sneak it right in there to Jordan oh a ball tough one there by men's kind of got it stuck good play good defense she
055grabs it quick gonna get some subs here Emma Susa coming in Mack coming into the game along with number seven Emma Stevens we're seeing Kasich come out along with Jordan and Sabina mckechny also going to take a little break looks like they're I mean it's just a very I like this play right here Mack is good try there by morno as the ball went down the sidelines tried to sneak it into the middle but the goalie made a good play there and tried to come out goalie with a bomb of a kick there all the way down the sidelines good play Here by McKenna by uh Kenna Marino using her body work mate could try right there by morno tried to sneak that one and get a get a cross in there into the middle
056morno is going to take the corner kick Jillian Stevens coming in using her height in her heading ability see if we can get an opportunity here and put one in morno a really good kick right there I love oh boy a really good opportunity the ball made it all the way through just can't have that happen the ball go all the way across the goal crease when it lands there somebody from East Longmeadow needs to be on that one and touch it West Side throw in East Longmeadow is scrambling here a little bit to get back on defense ball gets picked up McKenna has it she's got it she sends it over ball gets booted back over it looks like Souza's gonna put her foot on it really gains control the ball really good foot
057Handler she's taking the ball moving it down it's in there nobody there in the middle ball comes back out controlled [Music] Julian Stevens has it kind of just bumps it up there oh that's it yeah I just can't run away from that one there I think number seven needed to kind of just be on that and step up into it good play there by Steven Stevens has it it turns it's picked up by morno morno has it more knows taking it down the sidelines she's going down the sidelines again she kind of gets it in there Stevens has it morno's gonna get it sends it over could try there by Bella White because morno took the ball down the sideline stopped it brought it back gonna get an East Long medal throw in Bella white
058has it it's in there to the middle oh a really good opportunity there by Sousa good shot tried to go short side on the goalie just got it a little bit wide a really good boot there though they say a good ball strike just maybe go far post on that one if you have the opportunity good play there oh not sure what number 18 was doing there on that one just needed to look down and probably make a little bit more of a steady pass chasing down here but we got some really good Defenders back there we should be in really good shape good play Here by Anna Roman taking the ball it's under control gonna send it over here great pass there to Mourinho mourinho's got space she's going to take the space sends
059it up the field morno has it flips it over ball just kind of rides on through oh my God [Music] penalty there on morno West side's gonna get a free kick got a left-footed Booter there sends it up the middle Jillian Stevens there puts her head on it like this here I like this control good play there I like it I like getting it over to Susa really good ball control there look at this really good moving taking the ball good pass there Max got it moves it to the outside needs to put a left footed strike on it just a little bit behind her one more step to the outside but some good passing good footwork good ball movement maybe users speed there take one more step try to get in there get the
060body behind it on that left footed shot morno coming out getting a little break on the right side Thompson taking over Sousa over there on the left side look at getting bodied around here I like the aggressive play there though by Mack getting in there using her body good kick up there Ava men's has it puts a head on it gets it out wide now masseuse is going to have the ball here going to really carry it up the left side pulls it back little drag carries it through good aggressive play there by Susa to keep the ball gets it back gonna swing it over here gets it out Thompson's got it tough try there reached her foot up maybe could have got her body on that one instead we know the grandparents are watching
061at home not feeling well tonight want to give a shout out to the Thompsons they're always here supportive of all the East Longmeadow teams especially the ones that their grandchildren are playing on and now they've got Ali Thompson out there on the right wing puts a nice touch on it right there On Cue 10 has it Kenna Marino not gonna get pushed around I can tell you that right now got it here we go Bing Bang Boom balls flipped up there by Lizzie Roman now looks like it's gonna be Mourinho again on a throw in good play it's back Mourinho has it takes it off the left foot hey you really just gotta put your you gotta put your body in there on that one you don't want to shy away comes Ava men's just
062kind of kicking that one out to the sidelines giving Islam Meadow an opportunity to set up its defense as West Side gets a throw in 22 minutes remaining in the second half I'd say so far this half the play has actually been dominated for the most part by East Longmeadow up until really this point right now I mean for I'd say the entire most of the last 20 minutes has been all East Longmeadow in terms of possession in terms of opportunities etc etc and here we go good play coming out there by the goalie goalie's going to give this one a little bit of a ride she does gets it up I like this here off the foot over to Thompson back to that's just a put your head down and kick it I don't
063really like that play there by mckeckney there you just want to put your head down and kick it she had some space take the ball control find a foot good ball right there into the corner East Longmeadow hustling back Jillian Stevens on defense I like this play right there by Mac ball comes through and this is a good play there by Roman to get it out Ali Thompson gonna try to settle it down and does gets the ball up got it goes to the body Here Comes Ali Thompson after it right there off of a West Side offensive player gonna get a sub here as Jordan comes in for number seven Emma Stevens ball comes up to Thompson off the left foot back to mckeckney mckechny's got it under control I like this play here
064gets it back not sure about that one though just you know kicking it in a little bit of a kicking it to nobody I know sometimes Under Pressure you want to do that but if you're not under pressure you don't really need to just kind of boot it up good pass there by Stevens I mean sorry by Susa over to Thompson Thompson lost control off of her foot good play here bodied up ball still in bounds it seems like we might have an injury but nothing's been called yet looks like we are going to get a timeout and a clock stoppage on an injury I'm not sure what happened it was an off ball injury so really unsure what happened but you can see the cart coming out on the field that means the trainer
065has noticed something that was going on in the field not sure what it is but those off ball injuries are always more concerning than the on ball one so uh trainer comes out and looks like everything's gonna be okay Chris is going to make their way off the field on their own with not uh not any help not sure really what happened there couldn't tell looks like she had a slight little injury or maybe he got concerned looks like she might be wearing a knee brace of some sort so maybe something happened there maybe nothing too major but just got a little bit tweaked and got concerned about it and you know went down to make sure that there is no injury we'll see wishing certainly all the best to number 13 as she comes
066to the sidelines to get some water and take a little break I think it's going to be East Longmeadow ball on a throw-in I believe they did have possession or are they going to do a drop kick of some sort I'm not sure it looks like it's going to be a throw in foreign I really like I really like I mean I do I really I really like Susa with the ball oh that's just a little bit too far out right there by Jordan I mean I I do like the attempt we've got to get some shots on goal but you're a good 35 yards out they're a little bit too deep take the ball up a little bit more maybe ball comes back here comes into morno it's just like it's bumbling all over
067and now the we've got it ball goes up the sidelines mckechney's got it she's heading up the sidelines one of our speediest players number six balls going back right here boom and it gets booted up and it's off off Merino comes over to men's Benz has it it's gonna go back to the goalie here and it does it's goalie's gonna get it gonna have to give it a ride is the goalie gonna get there that's the next question goalie gets there kind of kicks it out of bounds maybe not a bad play it gives a little more time for West Side to have to set up in East Longmeadow an opportunity to really just kind of get back there on defense and set up their defense that they otherwise wouldn't have had and quite honestly
068the ball went out of bounds another 15-20 yards down the sideline so um oh good kick in there but it's going to be a relatively easy save for the East Longmeadow goalie Emerson you could save there by the goalie to come out Ava men's takes a little does a little gymnastics flip over the goalie it's a good kick there over the head mckechney's got it Ball's coming now it's Jordan she's running through it keeping the Islam metal player behind her she's moving it through she's going she's grinding East Longmeadow has it ball gets settled down Ball's back it's gonna go there it is here's a little flipper to the middle I like the I like it getting out to this wide to Sousa I really do I think she's been really effective tonight out there
069on the left wing it's had a really good game been aggressive controlling the ball outstanding dribbling skills has had a good opportunity with a shot ball comes here ball goes back got open mckechny's open here in the middle Stevens has it morno probably needs to move up a little bit but that's like right there it's just a no-go that's a no-go zone right there a little pass to the middle he had two players you had lukasik and Jordan kind of sitting there waiting to receive a ball and that one just got kind of flipped up into no man's land off the side of the head looks like this one's going to go out of bounds unless Sousa can track it down and she almost did just could not looks like it's going to be a
070west side throw-in yeah just look I mean really good dribbling skills great passing right there ball again and you know it's it's a right idea but heads down more knows out wide foreign s there by number eight got number 21 into the game for East Longmeadow Grace Moore ball comes back it's coming over here Grace Moore has it sends it up but it right to into the West Side number 10 coming out Grace Moore comes out more now comes in off of her head out of bounds West Side throw in down the sidelines at the feet kicked out of bounds again West Side throw in [Music] 15 minutes remaining in the second half ball gets thrown in it gets booted up it gets kicked out of bounds West Side throw in takes a little extra
071space ball comes in ball goes to the middle handball right there and then does get called referee does see that and we are going to get a free kick by East Longmeadow at about the 45-ish yard line foreign that looks right about there there it is and the announcer was right on top of that one Pat myself on the back it's kicked in I like that play Bing Bang Boom getting chased down who's gonna get it and here comes the goalie looks like she's gonna get it gonna give it a big boot and she does over to Susa Sousa has it puts it off of her head it's bouncing around somebody's there Susa in good control puts her body in front carries it carries it keep carrying it I like this sends it back to
072the middle here get the ball out wide get it to somebody's foot yeah we're just not and that through ball I mean [Music] yeah a little Crash and Burn there Ava men's wasn't sure probably not a bad penalty to take the evidence wasn't sure where the ball was and didn't want to give up all that space if her player had gotten behind her so probably not a bad penalty I think we're getting Eastlawn Meadows getting the ball up around the 30 20 yard line and then just kind of doing a boot and it's not really going to anybody there's not really a lot of control there on the offensive end when it gets up there and so it's creating some opportunities for West side's defense to really I guess defend now we got 13 minutes
073remaining Eastlawn Meadow has dominated this half a play so far but does not have anything on the scoreboard to show for it and here comes a shot in it bounces around good play by the goalie really getting this getting this ball out quick I do like this play ball comes up Jordan there goes over ahead uses her experience finds her position turns it up field Seuss is open gets the ball back they are moving and grooving right here Jordan has it she's taking it around keep on going don't shoot from there nice try to get it on a foot oh good try just a little bit far out there for that shot at the 25 we're at the 25 yard line a lot of more a lot more space to take I think you go
074back and look at that one on the video they'll see there's more space to easily take space here it's gonna get kicked it's really kept in nicely there by number 10. comes back now Mourinho has it like to see more I'd like to see this ball get over to Sousa ball comes up gets to lukasik lukasik has it take the ball all the way down kasich's got it goes in I do like that play there though I like that kind of touch there the little bit of a lower ball trajectory where somebody from Islam Meadow can get their body or their foot on it as opposed to over the top when they get into that you know 20-yard line area on the soccer field I'm gonna get a throw in here it's a good one
075goes to back to Roman oh I don't know about that call there that was kind of a tough one you see Mourinho kind of shaking her head on that one looked like number 10 was just kind of putting her body in the way Mourinho was trying to go around but uh I don't know is it a penalty or just an out of bounds might be just an out of bounds 11 minutes remaining in the game East Longmeadow desperately desperately in need of a score it was nice ball goes over take the space take the space there's just so much more space there to take and they're just kind of you know having all sorts of trouble boom oh that one got over Steven's head a little push off there good back check by Stevens Paul
076comes back right in right into good play there could try there to get it tomorrow Jake tried to chase it down on the through ball was just a little bit of a little bit too hard morno wasn't able to chase it down and stop it from going out of bounds she was calling for it good kick there kind of bunted up let's see if she can keep it in bounds and she can it goes back number eight Lizzie Roman has it good player by Stevens keeps it in bounds there we go you could try there a little boot again maybe just a little bit too far out not saying that we don't need Islam Meadow doesn't need shots but we probably at this point need something something good need some type of good shot good
077play here good ball handling skills ball comes back good play again here Lizzie Roman has it kind of kicks it over not sure if that one can be saved it is saved it's just like past and I don't know where though there that's kind of the problem Ball's just not getting past to a person I think they probably just need one more set of ball movements here to make something happen or dribble I mean we've got some good dribbling skills here we go balls passed here and get it over here to Mourinho Mourinho has it take it up the sidelines Moreno oh just kicked that's just kicked and it's just kick nowhere that's the issue it's just getting kicked it's not getting passed and it's not getting shot it's just getting kicked seven minutes and
07845 seconds remaining in the game good play here by Mourinho tried to keep it in bounds it just kind of sneaks off of her foot and goes out west side gonna get a throw in taking their Beyond sweet time to get this one in moving number eight back a little bit here so we're gonna get a throw in ball gets thrown down off of gets kind of really shoved from behind there by the west side [Music] oh I guess it's gonna go the other direction look to me like number two had done the pushing but it looks like there may have been a somebody may have pushed number two to make it look like number two was getting pushed got the ball here at about the 25 yard line number eight their Corner kicker is
079going to swing one in not sure why we have three girls out front defending that one maybe we should have one more there in the middle um but ball is gonna make its way all the way to the other side getting chased down this one comes in looks like the goalie's gonna get it goes out of bounds no problem gonna get ourselves a goal kick six minutes remaining in the game we're gonna need at least one or two more really good offensive opportunities good move here looks like you're gonna get Mack into the game as number six Sabina mckechny gets a break like to see Susu has been having a good game get back into this game if possible the offensive end good touch is there that one going to go out of bounds it's
080picked up by it's thrown down Morneau has it really needed to probably use her right foot there in order to get that ball moving in the other direction a good idea though by Mourinho there to try to get the throw in in quickly while you know Morna was open [Music] this one's just out of bounds good play there by morno ball goes out of bounds we're gonna get a corner kick here Jillian Stevens going up Lizzy Roman going up Ava men's going up really just gonna leave on the back side here Gonna Leave Mourinho more now on a sidekick somebody's got to put a foot on it I mean there's a good ball driven in the middle it settles in goal East Longmeadow scores its first goal of the Season not sure who put that
081one in looks like an assist from morno on the sidelines in with four minutes and 35 seconds remaining East Longmeadow Spartans score their first goal of the season assist and goal [Music] s not sure who scored that goal for sure we're gonna find out in the end it's still increased on Meadow number 13 Jill Stevens all right Jill Stevens puts one in our star Defender comes up on the corner kick and puts that one into the goal morno gets that takes that's a handball right there but uh is it called it is not called comes back again getting chased down ball gets booted up looks like the ball is going to come to Mack here on the right hand side number 14 has it's going to send it up again it's going to send that
082one through here comes more now she's chasing down the sidelines looks like she's gonna get it again she's calling for it she's taking it [Applause] [Music] that's putting a body on it the ref is letting them play In fairness he has been letting them play All Night This is not something new he has just been letting the girls play it's been a very aggressive game and when there's been a penalty like that it's been called but it's been aggressive and fair play that has been called all game long looks like we're gonna get a time out here East Longmeadow calling a time out with three minutes and 20 seconds remaining coach Moser gonna set up a play and make a call gonna see here who they're gonna call on this kick it's at the 20-yard
083line looks like it's going to be about a 30-yard shot not sure if the coach is going to call Direct Kick and then if so who's going to take it I would expect it to be either Stevens if it's a direct kick to be either Stevens Roman or morno and if it's just going to be probably chopped in I think you're going to see a kick here by Roman but they're setting up some type of play you can see that the coach is gathering them together talking to Stevens talking to Roman talking to Mourinho really setting something up here on the offensive end with three minutes and 20 seconds remaining he is firing them up right there talking to Jordan let's see what the play call is going to be looks like it is going
084to be Roman on the ball looks like it's going to be a set it's going to be a some type of set play got everybody lined up got number 13 Jill Stevens on the outside looks like that's going to be the call I think it's going to be a little flip over the top calling it to Jill Stevens and it is going to be a shot and again off the that one hit the football crossbar not the crossbar of the goal three minutes remaining in the game this one looks like it's going to be a swinger outside ball goes out of bounds Kenna Marino grabbing the ball morno running down the sidelines takes the ball down the middle she's moving she's grooving she's shaking she's baking she's got it flips it in it's off somebody
085here it comes Eastlawn Middle with an opportunity ball is in control here [Music] East Longmeadow has it takes it oh boy oh good play was able to keep it gets it um Ava men's has it [Music] two minutes remaining two minutes remaining in the game ball is gonna get kicked here up the sidelines it gets booted through right to the middle Jillian Stevens on it number 18 has it swings it around ball keeps coming good play here good play there Kenna Marino looks like she's gonna settle it down goes up to lukasik and that is bombed down there for Jordan oh an opportunity there just a little bit wide by morno with a minute and 30 seconds remaining in the game stop and turn here comes in comes number three for West Side taking out
086number 19 the second half of play was really dominated by East Longmeadow they had all the opportunities it seemed like in this half Kenna Marino has it saves it ball gets kicked out of bounds right two her ball is going to get thrown in it gets thrown into Megan morno Megan morno down the sidelines over the top right there that's going to be a penalty on West Side not really sure about that call look to me they're like West Side kind of ducked under more than any more than more than anything else 30 seconds remaining all things being considered this one looks like it is going to end in a draw barring some type of complete complete and total disaster eight seconds remaining in the game timeout time out west side they're going to try
087to set up a play with seven seconds remaining the fans are starting to shuffle out heading down to the East Longmeadow defensive end to probably just watch the last seven seconds of this game west side is certainly setting up a play here Islam Meadow likely going to have the entire team back on defense they're going to have every single player back there to defend it's not going to be really any point in having any players at all up on offense with seven seconds remaining I'm really [Music] ball here I mean I would just really head back I don't think there's any reason even have three players kind of standing here I would just really have have everybody every single person should be probably back right now just to see what is going to happen here
088ball gets swung up swung over goes all the way through nobody touches it no stop one second game over really well played second half there by East Longmeadow first half was even Steven but not on the scoreboard West Side was able to strike first East Longmeadow gets one with about four or five minutes remaining in the second half game tied 1-1 we'll see you all next time okay
