One nation under God, indivisible with liberty. I justice for all. Alright, Uh, we will do the roll call. I know you're getting the camera set up. Steve Here. Jessica Here. Tom Here. Angie? Yes. Here. Tucker? Here. Kat? Yes. Here. And Kim Here. Okay. Um, at this point, uh, it does not look like, do you have any public comment in the basket or no? No, not tonight. Okay, sounds good. We will go on then to information and discussion items. The first one is a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of a $400,000 taxable general obligation promissory note. So I can speak to that. Um, we're asking the board for approval for the $400,000 renewal of the loan that was taken out in 2023 for 2.1 million. We renewed it last year in 2024 for 900,000 and

renewing it one more time for 400,000. Um, final figures don't come into the district until today and the notes mature October 20th. So, um, the goal is to have that paid off in the next few months. And I should add too that um, each of you have a list of the terms, so the rates of those, Both of those notes. Yes. Thank you. Okay. And then the next one is the resolution authorizing a temporary borrowing in an amount not to exceed $1 million. Okay. And that one is just the true cash flow purposes. So at this point there's no balance and we don't anticipate a balance in the near future Precautionary, correct? Yes. And that is that, so I think this happens because the funding we are expecting from the state is not here yet.

Is that correct? Yes. So this is, this is, this is very typical. Like this we would probably do every year from here on out. Um, just for those short term times when the cash is low. October, November, early December are very low until the first property taxes come in in January. So it's functionally like a line of credit. Yep. Business. We use a line of credit. Yes. Yep. We had to ask what we need. Okay. Does anybody have any, um, questions for Beth on either A or B? So that will go ahead if The board, um, does approve and take action and we'll need signatures from Tom, Jessica, and Steve and Angie After the Board meeting. Okay. So that is on the list of action items later in the meeting. Thank you. Um, and now

we have our vendor presentations regarding the feasibility study For the district. We do. And the first one is scheduled at five 15. Okay. So I have to, any remarks and I'm happy to provide those. And while we wait for our first presenters to write. Yes. Okay. Alright. Um, so good evening. The next portion of our school board meeting will include three vendor presentations regarding a feasibility study for the district of Athens facilities. Each presentation will last approximately 30 minutes, 20 minute presentation in the minute q and a with that vendor specific to their presentation. And the board is encouraged to ask any clarifying questions that you might have at that time. Following all three presentations, the board will be asked to consider taking action on selecting a vendor to conduct a feasibility study. Um, I'd

like to offer some background and context to explain the potential of collaboration with a business partner who would conduct a feasibility study. So, feasibility study for school districts is a comprehensive analysis to determine if a proposed project such as a new facility renovation or district reorganization is viable and beneficial. It assesses various factors including educational needs, financial implications, and potential challenges, but ultimately guiding the decision making process for not only the school board but our community as well. A these bill study is a critical precursor to facilities planning, allowing decision makers to identify potential issues, uncover potential challenges, and provides valuable data for decision making. A feasibility study offers hard data and insights that empower our leaders, so our board of education and others to make smart, uh, smarter more responsible investment decisions. A thorough

feasibility study serves as a strong evidence-based foundation demonstrating that the project has been carefully evaluated and validated through conversations at the board level and in the community. And as soon as our presenters are here, we will start with the first presentation, um, which will be from compliance services. Thank You. Um, and I would share with the board of education if you hadn't had an opportunity in the board packet or electronic copies of the presentations that you'll be hearing this evening. Um, so if you've had, uh, busy things happening and uh, an opportunity to take a look, um, this might be an opportunity for you to take a look at those three different presentations. Uh, we'll be hearing from, uh, performance services, perhaps Anderson and Myron Construction. And this was sent, I got mine at least

on October 10th, so if you're looking for it. Sorry, I'm finding mine. You have to download it 'cause it's so big. Okay. I I probably missed that pop up window. Okay. Down road Presenters will be bringing hard copies as well. How? Couldn't even tell you There's like three like little dots in the corner of the file, at least on mine. And then I click on those dots and there's like a menu that comes up. At least for me to open it in Google Box, it's gonna ask for like a ton of permission. You're have to like at least monitor. Yeah. You just downloaded it as a PFI. Yeah, that's, but I have a PDF reader. I don't know. I did mine as, um, a PowerPoint. Okay. Somehow. Yeah, some Somehow, I don't know. Oh wait,

maybe it is. It's a giant file. Yeah. So Another way you may choose to access 'em is if you go on to the website underneath their special meeting tonight. Mom, I do believe that they've been voted and should open relatively as Well. And then they're also available to our public in that Capacity. Got a message from the district. We just all just got it. I was like, why is the district calling me? Like the only reason it's up. I mean, it's above $10 though, so, so maybe right after. That's fine. So has anybody had any experience with Cross Anderson? Myron all perform services at this? I have with Carl, Carl Sanderson and Myron. Same. Okay. And would you just prefer to leave you Chew on it until we're done. Keep an open mind until That

Okay.
