001Buck, call the meeting to order. >> Okay. 7:00, we'll call this meeting to order. First thing on the list, pledge of allegiance. >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. >> All right, roll call. All members are present except for Jeff, uh and Lance is running a little late. Um report of meeting notification, Jim? >> Yep, the meeting was properly noticed, and per policy, it is being live streamed and recorded. >> Okay. Uh we have no visitors today. Uh Kelly, is there any public comment? No. Okay. Uh comments by board members and superintendent on graduation recap. Ron, you were there. >> Yeah, uh for my first time, I was uh like
002when I was pretty nervous. >> Mhm. >> It uh it ended up being really rewarding. I I really enjoyed it. >> Good. >> I I'd do it again, for sure. So. I thought there was a lot of good things that night. So. >> Yeah, good. >> Very well attended. Gym was packed. I like like my favorite part is the recognition, where you know, stand up if you're in this that I mean, it just it just shows how many of our kids are involved in high level activities, and um it's just a good mix of kind of formal program, yet personal. Like you got, you know, the music and the speeches, and uh the students, and Buck did a great job with his message, and just the right length. They um didn't do the uh video
003at the end like in the past, cuz that's about 15 minutes at the end, and people are kind of anxious. They did it beforehand as people are coming in. So, still did it, but saved a little time. >> So, we find uh like we've done a couple different ways with handing out tickets, five tickets, now opening up. Is there any been any comments or anything on how how that's perceived? >> No good. No news is good news, so yeah. Yeah, haven't heard any negative comments on that. Just as many There's no limitation. The parking like I don't know how we we would have done it with our past parking. Like they still were parking on the grass and every available Luckily no rain, so it didn't hurt the grass, but it parking lots were packed
004on everywhere. >> And there wasn't a whole lot of room left. >> Mhm. >> Yeah, [clears throat] I'm sure. Uh no scheduled presentations by guest or staff members. Okay. Uh financial reports, Dave. >> Yes, sorry. All right. As of May 31st, 2026, our balance for citizen state bank checking account is $1,110,841.48. Money market account is $12,300.03. Fund [clears throat] 46 is up to $62.89. Suicide prevention is at $5,586.47. Debt service account is at $935.34. Referendum account is at $62, $981.75. For total balance of $1,192,707.96. >> If I will make sure that you do that. >> Okay, Joe. Yes. >> Okay. All in favor? >> I like it. >> Motion passed. >> I vote yes. >> Opposed? Yeah, uh consideration of consent agenda. Uh approval minutes. Uh school board meeting from May 18th. >> Confirm the
005meeting. >> Yeah, the whole do the whole number nine. Yeah, just ask for a motion to motion to approve for school board meeting. >> So moved. >> Second. >> Okay. All opposed? Hearing none. Uh meeting confirm meeting May 27th. >> No, that that that motion was for the entire consent. All of number nine, so we're on number 10. >> Uh administration reports. >> All right, this is the last enrollment report of the year. We usually take July and August off before we start up again September. Happy to report we ended the year for the first time in I can remember, I think, more students than we started with in seats. 1,554 you can see back in September and ended at 1,561. So that's positive and as always our trending numbers and our open enrollment, especially
006our virtual academy outstanding. So end of the year 295 students in June. Had a lot of early graduators, which is which is a good thing. Um so yeah, and then the free and reduced lunch rate stays pretty stable. It's been in the low 20s for quite quite a while now. So 22.75 district wide for free and reduced lunch rate. >> Do we have a motion for that, dude? >> I don't think so. >> Uh key work for the school board. Student staff community recognition. >> Nothing to report on. >> Nothing to report. >> Okay. Uh core agenda items, uh, consideration approval of adding one full-time middle school girls wrestling coach. >> Looking at our Brad Holzer, you know, who was here month or two ago. >> Yep. >> I believe, um, and and I think,
007uh, you know, gave everyone the rationale and the request. Um, so at this time, you know, the board is just asked to consider it. Um, if you're wondering what the cost is, it's on page two of your packet. You can see middle school head coach, um, was 2,219 last year, 2,277, and that's for one year of experience. So that's starting. So depending on who we would hire, right? You can see the different lanes there of 1 6 11, etc. Uh, five years of experience increments there. Um, so that's the cost. I think very minimal. Uh, Brad clearly articulated, uh, the need. And, uh, the good news is, right? The program is growing and need a coach. So. >> Do we know how many more added into the middle school girls program? Or number-wise? >> Like
008that open enrollment? >> Yeah. >> Are coming to >> Well, there's two middle schoolers that open enrolled and three high schoolers that open enrolled. >> Okay. >> And then they're like this year we had, uh, >> 18 girls. >> Yeah. And then some of them didn't stay for the middle school season, but the ones that are coming back are saying next year that they very they're going to stay for the middle school season also. >> So, good. >> It's just it's long. It's October to March. You know, when you do >> Mhm. >> We have to the middle of March when you're going to hit the girls from October to the middle of December, and then the boys as soon as we get back from break all the way to March 15th. So. >> Good.
009>> And you know, that I mean, it's growing, but also the girls some cases are going different directions than the boys. Just girl events. >> Mhm. >> So. >> Okay. You got a motion approved? >> What we have to make a motion already? Okay. Yeah, motion to approve. >> Second? >> I second. >> Okay. Any >> Discussion on that? >> Any discussion on that? >> No. >> Okay, motion Motion passed. >> all those in favor? >> Oh, all those in favor? >> Aye. >> Opposed? >> Motion carried. >> Perfectly approved. >> You got it. >> All right. Uh >> It's a good time to run through these. >> Um well, yeah. Yeah, these just These are just first readings. Uh so, um all again these uh as I've indicated in the past, some will just
010pop up as new requirements. Like, "Oh, this is a new one." Um so, this is one of the latest is uh video and audio surveillance on buses and specifically >> That's the only one that I was going to ask you about. >> have to have three things. The a policy by the board, um parental uh notification, which we can do in August through our um >> Sign up. >> What are they called? No, the August um >> The annual notice? >> Annual notices, correct. Annual notices. And then the third is a sign in the bus saying, "Hey, we have audio and video going on." So, it's a legislative requirement, those three things. That's why you see 443.2 and then 44 There's a rule and a policy. So, with the We've had rules, which are basically
011the specifics of how kids should behave or not behave on buses. Um so, that's um now a rule. It it it uh before was just kind of a practice, but now as you know, we have policies and rules at this level. And then um um 751.21 was one that was existing um, as well. Uh, so, that that's why there's they're all very similar. Uh, the video surveillance conduct buses buses surveillance buses. So, they're all part of the recording. >> of the three wasn't on there before. Cuz I feel like even when I was in high school they had a camera on the bus and all they had was a sign. So, what did they add to it? >> The board policy. Just the board policy. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Yeah. And it to my
012knowledge, when I asked Bo or Brian, there weren't signs on our current buses. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> And there that is definitely been um, point of emphasis, not just on the buses, but also outside to protect the drivers and safety issues and running through stop arms, things like that. And then now they have side cameras because it used to be in the front and you know, little ones are behind the seat, you can't see anything. Now they can see into the seats as well. So, it's really improved safety. >> now. >> Yes. >> Uh, so, motion to approve first reading of B through F. >> What are we voting on? >> No. >> Don't even need a motion for that. Uh, yeah. Sorry, I didn't say consideration. And then the homeless one too is
013Leah, um, as the McKinney-Vento Act and homeless liaison, there was just a new requirement in there that had to add small little thing. >> Yeah. Uh, possible future agenda items. >> We will um, we will have uh, that uh, formal complaint by uh, I'd like to say community member, but it's not a community member. It's a >> You can say teacher. >> A person. And I was in another state. Um, but uh, according to our um, attorney, uh, advised do that in open session. We can do that in open. >> Okay. >> July 22nd, 2026 special board meeting at 5:30. July 22nd, 2026 school district annual budget meeting 6:00 p.m. in the SEC district office. July 22nd, school board meeting immediately following the annual meeting budget hearing. Uh August 6th school board development meeting at
0145:00 p.m. in the district office. August 17th school board meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the district office. >> So, those three are stacked there. I mean, we've always had the two budget meeting annual meeting as one, but um in the past you've had like the week before the um business manager goes over the annual meeting but uh budget numbers with the board. It's a requirement to kind of give it to you ahead of time in case there's any changes you'd like to see. So, now we're just doing it all in one night. >> Well, we had a pretty interactive budget committee, so I feel like we should be >> through. >> All right. Per Wisconsin statute 19.851 {dash} one considering employment promotion compensation reports evaluation data of any public employee over which a governmental body
015has jurisdictions or exercises responsibility. One, consideration approval of extra extracurricular wages for 2026-2027. Two, consideration of admin contracts for 2026-2027. Three, approval of resignation retirements and terminations. Four, approval of appointments and contract modifications. >> Motion to go into closed session. And motion. Second. Roll and call. >> Roll call. Yeah. >> Uh all those in favor of roll call? >> I. >> You got a hot date there? >> I think >> All right. We're in closed session. We can't end this.
