oh wow this is fun welcome into east long meadow high school tonight's matchup is between the east longmeadow spartans and the longmeadow lancers we are set to kick off cj calogy will be kicking off live on elcap and he ball falls off the tee and we'll redo it again devin dobeck alongside mike moynihan bringing you the action mike happy to have you back on board hello devon how are you i'm doing well thank you another week of school gone by another week closer to the end of the semester you guys are almost done huh yeah umass will be done in just a few short weeks middle of may so we're going to actually have a hold kate boydston will hold for caloji who's set to kick away oh that is nice booming kick and that'll
go out of the end zone for a touchback devin honestly i could watch that all day all right my microphone may have won out we are i feel like it went out some technical difficulties with mr dobeck's microphone i have no idea if you can hear me or not so i'm gonna do the benefit of and so having technical difficulties what else is new me and mike just can't get a clean broadcast unfortunately um it's a it's a sad truth i think i'm back i think dev can you hear me i can hear you nice and play action play and the give around the end that's going to be wyatt tollickson and only good for about one yeah and my mic is going in and out run there by uh mr longmeadow running back mr
tallickson east long meadow coming off a pretty sizable loss to the miniature falcons um yeah i'm definitely having technical difficulties i can't even hear myself um and this is not ideal hopefully the viewers at home can hear me [Music] dev can you hear me only no anthony casablanca with the play there and he's forced out it'll be very close to the marker yeah i don't it's like going really in and out very much so all right they're able to hear us at home you just won't be able to hear me so thank you shout out i'll just suffer shout out cara devoy at home thank you very much mrs davoi and colin hoffman a little play there and end around and he's going to take off sprinting luke's luke and he's shoved out of bounds
for a huge gain i'm gonna butcher that pronunciation luke sluke what would you say there mike i'd say luke sluke luke sluke all right that's where we're going luke with the most yards of the game so far zelic first down to ten long metal from the metal 24. all right so long metal will line up first down and 10. hoffman hands it off to his running back who is able to get up the middle for potentially a first down thank you mike i was just kind of fixing my headset there so i'm able to hear you i'm not having technical difficulties not able to hear mikey my headset so i switched it up i can't hear mike but i can yeah i cannot hear devin okay beautiful good all right so we can stop debating
that now and call the game which is good [Music] first down and ten and hoffman rolls out he'll take it himself and flag on the play and he gets a few out of that dev what is your prediction on the flag here i think it's going to be a holding call on the offense on long but to be determined referees will talk it over my guess is by number 53 he looks very guilty to me how about that it's almost like you've done one one or two of these games so it'll be first and long for the lancers hoffman under center in motion goes telexon and he fumbles the ball in the play it's gonna be a wet environment to play in and spartans swarm them behind the line of the scrimmage it'll be a
loss of about two yeah just like devin said there expect a lot of fumbles and misplays of the ball just it is extremely wet especially on turf yeah and a lot of slipping which is kind of scary for the athletes especially given all the sharp cuts you got to make in this game so it'll be second down in a long 20 here for the lancers hoffman [Music] and in motion goes casablanca hoffman rolls out to his left looking looking surveying fires looking for casablanca he under threw him coverage there from johnny ferrantino and it'll be a third down and very long for longmeadow so mike what i'm liking that i'm seeing here i mean by this time last game it was like 14 nothing honestly devin we're doing great so far uh what i will
say is that we're getting a lot of pressure i feel right off the snap yeah uh miniature strong program especially when you think about their lines eastland meadow could not exactly hang with them last game but it's nice to see them a little more evenly matched up casablanca takes the handoff makes a quick little move and he swarm a nice tackle on the play and spartan defense it's pretty juiced up yeah dev although i mean jack calcedesi making the play there longmeadow is picking up kind of consistent chunks but not none too big except for that one one mishap there on that big gain but seems like issan meadow consistently has guys on the ball yes multiple players that is so i like that fourth and 15. hoffman's gonna do a quarterback run out to
his right fighting and he gets the first down and into the end zone touchdown longmeadow on fourth down and 15 lancers able to convert and they're on the board first seven nothing it's 8 35 to go in the first quarter spartans trail by six and pending one or two more so yeah not a lot of field goals in high school football or at least lengthy field goals and longmeadow goes for it pays off they get six points out of it i believe jack aviard set to take the kick he's listed as a running back and linebacker but yet kicking so maybe not updated [Music] um his kick it is good look to be maybe close to the left upright but nevertheless it'll be seven nothing lancers and mike what did you like from the spartan
defense leading up before that honestly we had a lot of stops and there was a point in which it seemed like longmeadow had a lot of difficulty picking up a lot of yards there um you know they stayed around the 25-yard line for quite a bit there and we got them to fourth down so i mean they just they converted and they're not gonna be able to do that all game so as long as the spartans can just continuously get stops on first second third downs i mean they should be good i know that seems pretty obvious but well they'll get their first chance on offense and we'll see how the spartan offense who struggled also against miniature only putting out 14 points on a couple big pass plays actually that happened in that second
half what really killed the spartans in the minichat game was the special teams it seemed like pretty much every kickback or punt resulted in a humongous gain for for the falcons so that's another thing that we got to watch out for the spartans if they can limit the amount of yards that they give up on special teams they should be in way better shape than they were at least for the minion shot game nico mojon deep man to receive and kick will go to his right he muffs it catches it once again trucks a man and he's knocked out of bounds and some fans reasoning that the hit's a bit late but nevertheless spartans will get the ball right where mojo was pushed out of bounds and going out there to captain the offense is
conor robidu he had a huge pass play last week to his brother landon robidu that was one of the highlights of the game for the spartans that was big pass play and there was also um johnny tarantino had a couple um yeah it seems like robadoo and ferentino seem to have some really good connection with each other so that's something else that uh the lancers have to be really careful with robadoo high snap looks fires and he throws it over the head of his brother landon it'll be second down and ten it'll be interesting to see spartans have been throwing the ball a lot more this season than they have in years prior after moving away from the wing um but in conditions like these it's very hard to throw the ball it is wet
you know yeah you need to be surprised if they try to establish the run game pretty pretty soon and pretty often here isaiah king was the man last game that they kept going to he didn't have much success his longest run i believe was five yards roby rolls out left looks fires and a drop there the third down and ten passes in complete third down [Music] set to go in the backfield he's got king to his right three receivers to his left one to his right robe dude takes a snap looks fires downfield and almost an unbelievable catch made it's just not yeah a great throw there by robadoo preston longo the intended target went off one of his hands but there's going to be no highlight reel catches on a day like today mike
no but honestly devin that would that throw could have been better even though that was incomplete i mean those dbs didn't really have much of a chance on that ball and i feel like in better conditions that ball is gone pretty much every time so uh yeah just spartans have to adapt i think it's just the conditions right now hopefully second drive is a little more successful calogy punts away luke sluke will be the return man spartans miss a couple tackles up front and a huge block by the lancers and he gets into spartan territory it'll be first intent for the lancers at the spartan 41 and a couple flags fly i can only imagine it's gonna be a sportsmanship thing let's see i wouldn't be shocked if we had multiple personal fouls like or
unsportsmanlike conducts like this between e song metal and longmeadow the rivalry between these two towns has simmered off a little bit a little bit as the rivalry of west springfield and mid jog has prevailed but definitely still a rivalry with the same namesake as far as talents go um offsetting penalties on east longmeadow and longmeadow not sure who they're going to be on but regardless no damage done in either direction and with 56 to go spartans with a 39 second possession there with i believe three incompletions did you just do the math on that i i did thank you my goodness and now the give cutting up the middle fumble fumble ball on the ground spartans bleeding they have it wyatt tallickson spartans pointing i don't see a long metal hand so spartans have the
football game who's the spartan with the ball i don't know probably i don't know i have no there's a dog pile they got nobody came out with the ball the referees took it this is one of those plays devon where the spartans can really take control of the game they can really this could be a huge turning point for the spartans if they establish a good drive huge play and break for east long meadow there robadoo in the shotgun once again spartans will stick to the pass game despite their limited success last time and johnny ferentino hit as he made the catch only good for a yard or two there and spartans will have second down and eight you're just tuning in lancers have a seven nothing lead over the spartans we are about four
and a half minutes gone by here quarter number one devin dobeck alongside mike moynihan spartan football live on lcat spartans and lancers in a rivalry game here it'll be a great competitive game as we've seen a few momentous shifts early on here and isaiah king is just mobbed by a group of lancers going absolutely no there nowhere rather nick carterud the leader for longmeadow there third and eleven i almost just fell i don't know how that all the way down we're sitting on a bench but that was impressive there's a little gap and i almost fell right down it that would have been that would have been something now robadoo third and eleven been here before he looks and passes complete breaking free to the 40 the 30 the 20 the 10 all the way
i believe that's landon to the house from his brother connor 81 spartans are on the board now that just warms your heart devin spartans needed a big play and landon robin do with an unbelievable catch and then he found another gear to just absolutely burn the longmeadow defense and just like that all the long meadow back on this red sideline dev i am really impressed by how rovedoo's been throwing the ball in these conditions i know they haven't had a ton of completion so far but it seems like he's been on point for pretty much all of his throws so i like that and it's a fake or rather could have been a muff kaloji is gang tackled by a group of lancers conversion is no good on battle 70 saw metal six six minutes
eight seconds limping a little bit as he's trying to get off the field we'll keep an eye on that diane will check him out 7-6 lancers retain the lead but spartans on the board early [Music] yeah dev that was a huge play um that excites me needed one coach morocino very happy with his guys this will be my my uh annual game time not annual but you know every game just notice of just how tall ryan delaney is um man's a house so i just wouldn't you like to see him on the d-line i would like to see him play every snap if i could it is a true treat seeing just the tower out there and booming kick it'll take a couple bounces it's muffed goes back into the end zone and now returning
casablanca he is finally taking down flag flies and you'll be at about the 16-yard line first and ten for the lancers um actually pending this penalty [Music] i do have a special weather statement it is raining now it was not quite before it is now raining thank you brian you are welcome however i think i have an update i believe it stopped raining so yeah it did actually as soon as you said that 5 58 to go and it looks like longmeadow is backing up hopefully mr macareni caught what that call is because it's holding against longmeadow first down in 10 from their own i guess when in doubt just go holding huh first and ten our defense guys back in the house with the d and the picket fence sign shout out to them
they bring the energy each and every game and we're happy to have them in attendance they deserve a lot of credit for any success at the spartans have i mean that fumble man you got to think the fire that they're they're bringing over there seriously yeah ryan delaney is massive my goodness wow six nine i believe [Music] that's not a house that's a hotel man oh it's nice five minutes and 58 seconds left in the first quarter of tonight's pertito between the eson window spartans and the longmeadow lancers 7-6 spartans trail by one spartan d needs to come up big here they got a chance to pin longmeadow and i mean they could have great field position if they force the three and out here they could and so the snap and hoffman will roll
out to the left he is tackled but not after a pretty solid gain and it will be second down and about three for the lancers coming up we'll see what the lancers do this time they've had success running the ball haven't seen them pass it too many times and they give this time and a big gain sprinting out to the left and wyatt tallickson a huge gain for longmeadow he shoved out at the 44-yard line first and 10 longmeadow they needed a big play and they got it it's going to be a game of momentum swift no absolutely two very young teams um and you know these aren't gonna be the guys that are you know fighting for every yard there's gonna be big play after big plays absolutely it's gonna be whose defense steps
up more absolutely should be exciting for fans to watch though [Music] [Applause] 508 yeah if you like offensive football welcome to spartan football live on lcat we are going to have an absolute shootout hoffman looks to throw this time he fires one deep downfield had a man it looked like he stopped running had he kept going and not stopped his feet hoffman might have had a completion and he knows it that was a beautiful ball by hoffman there i believe that was anthony irizarry number 13. the intended target could be wrong i'm looking over a bunch of umbrellas here and stuff so we'll see hopefully i got that one right is this max prep got uh one that mr mack gave me because the other one got wet and the give and around in a
burst of speed he could go all the way and he will touchdown longmeadow samuel mard lancers jump out to a 13-6 lead he has some jets those outside runs you know the spartan line has been the part of the team that's been having trouble when you think back to minichal the secondary was making all the tackles so you think that these ender rounds would be more beneficial to the corners and safeties but nevertheless longmeadow getting everything they want credit to the blockers downfield and we got a 13 to 6 game possibly 14. and kick is good still a one score game spartans trail by eight but they will get the ball back and keep in mind they will get the ball at halftime 4 49 to go quarter one and we are set up for
definitely a great game mike absolutely yeah back deep to receive the kick 20 isaiah king 10 preston longo and ain't jacob nico mon jon who typically is back receiving kicks is now he's not out there right now hopefully this is something new that the spartans can try to take advantage of jacob brabadu is definitely in the backfield there too he had a couple of receptions on uh on the kickoff versus minichog so [Music] and so the kick is a good one in stride it is fielded longo avoiding a tackle spinning away from another man spartans will be set up to go here at the 33-yard line 18-yard return by 10 preston longo first down in 10 east longmeadow spartan offense getting i believe their third crack at it tonight mike third that's correct we'll see
how they fare johnny ferentino going no sleeves is a bold move but it doesn't shock me no especially knowing frank as well i'm sure he'd be doing the same man a few words but what about a class act in johnny fairness oh absolutely and the give is good for a couple how about the line going to work there and isaiah king gets about four five yard gain by number 20 isaiah king second and five good for you no i got a wrong backyard oh you said four never mind then it doesn't help my cause when i'm when i think i'm right and then the chain moves one more yard then i then after i say it and then mr mac yells over me and kind of exposes so i i don't have i can't get
away with much screenplay complete and good for maybe one or two completion danny manning dan manning the receiver third down and two i was on the money with that with three yards so taking some notes i'm excited to see if the spartans power this one to king or if robot is going to roll out and try and get the two yards through the air and see what coach morsino has drawn up takes a snap and it's going to be robidu rolling out to his right looking firing what a catch by johnny ferentino wow and a flag on the play completion back in the backfield and mr mack didn't seem thrilled and now we know why that one's coming back what a catch by johnny ferrantino incredible he is ecstatic yeah another great throw by robadoo
as well demoralizing though wow ryan delaney is big he's a tall fella i mean i mean we keep saying it but just watching him walk around out there i mean there are no aerial attacks coming on robadoo now isn't that just fun watching him oh yeah so one can imagine spartans are going to throw this one [Music] third and 12. i've had trouble with the run game all season long and nevertheless they will throw roberto's gonna have to escape the pocket calling out direction and pass is complete i believe it'll be good for a first down oh great adjustment made i believe that was called out of bounds no did they really let's just have a redo wouldn't it be nice should we start the champ ah reed no um well honestly devin for a
three and out that was a successful three and out i mean yeah they made two great plays neither of them counted yeah which you hate to see yeah but i'm not worried spartan offense has definitely looked better than they did last game absolutely leading passes and getting open it's got to be delay a game jeez flags have not been friends of the spartans it's a little chilly here mike you know devon it is cold upper 30s here at east longman high school and windy rain not my favorite combination in the world i believe monday is lining up to be a perfect 69 degrees tuesday is gonna be a beautiful 71. let's see what a punt by mr christopher john booming punt and spartans everybody's going to wait to touch this and then the referee is
going to break up the staring contest how about that 65 yards is definitely longer than i could punt how about you yeah give him a run for his money yeah fair don't get cocky now cj [Music] and they're gonna back up longmeadow more so devon i'm gonna he's not afraid to use the whistles tonight no devin i'm gonna steal your comment from last series with a three and out here spartans have been some very good field position two minutes and 30 seconds remaining in the first quarter of tonight's action and 14-6 is our score referee's still hashing something out with i'm assuming head coach tanner williams who's in his first year at longmeadow high school blocking the back by both sides offsetting first down and ten long metal from their own ten-yard line now how
does mr macarini get all these calls from the referees because we are sitting directly below him and honestly i have no idea what's going on yeah it is pretty impressive i think it's just because he knows the game he was quite the player at eastern middle high school you know he averaged nine yards of carry i didn't you know that's pretty impressive he's not that imposing of a figure no that's impossible [Music] very humble second and it's killing me [Music] coach marcino trying to rally up the troops here firing him up kind of fired me up i'm not gonna lie and so now to give a few moves made and eventually a tackle spartan defense coming alive with the tackle under two minutes ago wind picking up and it's i believe we are experiencing sleet
now i always gotta have a special weather report but devon stole my thunder so pun intended and a round and eventually a gang tackle but i believe longmeadow will have enough for the first down i believe that was a six yard pickup first down carry by xylo oh does i look is that the right name yeah we've been saying it wrong all right so i look we got it we got it down now first and ten for the lancers happy to have all of our listeners tuning in at home i don't blame you for not coming out in this weather but big gain there for long meadow close to the marker let's see if they give it to him now we're under a minute to go number 20 second down [Applause] [Music] spartans trying to
gain some momentum before a quick side switch for the second quarter and hoffman give i believe that's tallickson and he's got plenty for the first down closing in this is likely the last play and it's a give to the outside flag on the play and a big stick by preston longo to end the quarter we'll see what the flag does but we are very happy with that mike very happy with that and i believe this one's gonna come back even more as the first quarter concludes clock reads 0.0 signaling the end of the first quarter spartans trail by 8. you're watching spartan football live on lcat we have a we have a color commentator viewing at home connor burks happy to have you tuned into our broadcast connor how are you he's doing well is
he yeah he got his second shot today so he's having a great day connor thank you for tuning in connor and we have a quiz to do later tonight so i will see you for that is not enjoyable no not on a friday night what class do yeah not my favorite thing in the world but you know right yes yes um i got that lined up in the fall i may have to tap into your knowledge you'll be topping you know like when you tap something hollow that would probably be no there's not much i i mean it's a lot it's a lot to learn i obviously know what's being discussed but the logistical parts of it sometimes when we get very specific who knows that does not fire me up you know i'm struggling
in the class myself i'm grinding there you go it's a grind but you know welcome to college sure so devin how about this song it's a great choice did we get a text from mr burks yeah he just said hi hello connor tell kyle i say hello tell him that he better be prepared for practice tomorrow for the powerhouse team um i wish him the best of luck with that game a lot of alum tuning in tonight wes maurer the big center for east long meadow definitely miss him on that line man yeah tuning in wes hello how about that that song is just sometimes it's just perfect i mean i would like it to be a little warmer yeah but you know we're making the most of the situation amen to that and it's
crazy to see snow on the ground this morning yeah i got really discouraged i want to play golf tomorrow and i was like no this is not what you want to see when you're where were you where are you trying to play rolling meadows so maybe we'll see it might be wet but anyways the give up the middle for a few yards remind you it's it was first in 22 before that play so the give good for a small chunk i'm gonna say two check on the play by seventy-five garrett donahue hosts the defense garrett donahue making the play there i believe a sophomore maybe a freshman even second down in 19 fortunately i was off yeah no spartans have a ton of young players on this team you could also look he's a freshman
confirmed and give this time it's gonna be a third in a very long spartans defense coming alive here in quarter number two it's almost like that song fired him up mike yeah no yeah yes correct tackle by 70 jack kelsey dc 54 nick ferguson is jack calcidc billy kelso dc's brother yes it's a you know what i got something nothing gets by your family yeah all-american goal yeah for a brother texas tech rodeo there you go d on rodeo hoffman will take it himself he's got a burst of speed out to the left and colin hoffman on third down and long he's gonna go all the way touchdown lancers i mean you know you put in so much third and long and then the quarterback just does that to you that's demoralizing and it's now
a two score game having in the previous drive too where spartans had him on the fourth down and fortunately gave up a touchdown so um 20-6 is now the score lancers are set to kick will be jack gavir trying to make it a 15 point game [Music] and that one wide so it remains a 14 point game which helps as we remind you spartans two-point attempt was no good whether it was intended or not so a little less pressure now devin i'm wondering if the spartans are gonna have a quarterback change um i've been seeing some action on the sideline becker by mr becker so uh i don't know yeah they were definitely alternating like every two drives against miniature they were indeed so we will see if it holds true a lot of viewers
tuning in the lcat story must have been a hit um also if you are tuning in to us loyally instead of watching the bruins we appreciate your viewership score 0-0 closing in on the end of the first period with the new york islanders who are at the top of the division islanders got their way but taylor hall how about that former heart trophy winner in boston we'll see i love that trade other boston sports news former number two pick jabari parker joining the celtics uh he kind of fell off a cliff he was in the joel embiid andrew wiggins draft um and he's now going to be a celtic i believe that was what year was that 2015. something like that yeah and mojon receives the kick has to catch his footing a little bit
he tries to go right up the middle and he's mobbed but joan on the return to the 20-yard line first and then 10 20 to go second quarter of action did in fact have a quarterback changes yeah you know mike i spoke too soon david passernock puts the bruins on the board one nothing with three seconds in the first period how about that and i believe becker into the game now his pass is complete and yeah we are getting hailed on now special weather update yeah you gotta stop taking i believe that's johnny ferentino on the catch 10 minutes to go although there is a quarterback change it looks like the spartans are still sticking with the air game rather than on the ground becker pump fakes fires mr mack mr mack it's going to
be close to the marker and they're going to move the chains first down east long meadow i'd love to see it's always a good thing when you're moving chains on offense typically that's that's the name of the game yeah after scoring touchdowns yep first and and a half to go [Music] and becker play action looks fires and behind the [Music] it must be helpful when you when you get up the ranks and broadcasting to be able to have an angle towards the field because work we're just barely we're not in the booth right now that does not necessarily help the wind that's cutting mike you must be doing all right because i'm i'm taking the wind away from you um um sure we'll go with that but um i honestly i'm not the best badge
for the viewers like i have to deal with the wind oh on the mic yeah and it's a fake running up the middle for a good chunk i believe that'll be seven or eight isaiah king nine minutes to go if isaiah can get going in this game that could radically change things is that cj calogy wide lining up as a wide receiver i believe it is a king some i never thought i would see that and that excites me it is a ser frio c senor jeez and becker looking firing he hucks one up and it hits the hands of longo so on third in a very short one or two [Music] and i believe there's a lot of cars pulled up in st mike's parking lot there are watching the game from there if
you're tuned into the broadcast happy to have you smart move staying in your car i definitely wish i had some heating 8 29 left in the half fourth down and two to go for the spartans and now becker some miscommunication with king no flag on the play though must be timeout spartans [Music] in this quick timeout break we're going to take it on down to the field with michelle tafoya to see if she has any action going on down there michelle thanks michelle we have you know we just can't catch a break with our technology no she was here in spirit maybe we'll check back in later but cj calogy says you know what no thanks i'm not gonna take these gloves with me maybe this cj actually is looking like he's lining up for
a punt i'm i'm shocked the spartans are gonna punt this one why do you have the loose not not the lead um i don't know that's probably why they just probably not on the field but i mean longmeadow's offense has either been getting five yards the entire drive or 80 yards i mean so i don't think it really i mean field position is obviously a factor but the way we've seen the game today it's been either house call or spartan defense i know dev but you can never really complain when you get to see cj calogy put a ball on a foot i messed up there put a foot on a ball ball on a foot how about that and mike my feet are freezing can you imagine just kicking a football right now i
feel like my foot would just break you know like eight pieces devin i am actually doing pretty well i have wool socks i have double wool socks of course and then i have some all birds going on although i'm not doing free advertising um but they are wool so uh really keeping me nice and cozy down south on the toes region i gotta find a way to do it with the mic we have our defense gentlemen trying to fire up the men on the field ryan delaney is massive so it's number 79 on the sideline there i'm sure he's in frame first down 10 to go and hoffman will pitch it out and a tackle made yes sir group of spartans there they get to him that time you know devin i am a little
surprised at the lack of turnovers been all over the field he's he's nice he's good he's good xylock on the carry that time wasn't able to get too far [Music] shout out to the longmeadow high school football team superintendent mr marty o'shea ah how about that yeah and give this time to casablanca and i believe he's gonna be just shy of the marker but it will be third and short for the lancers and you gotta think they're gonna go two plays here something is falling down third and one all right we got it third down and one yard to go east long meadow spartans could you use a huge stop here [Music] right that would be ideal in an ideal world that sounds like something i would enjoy happy friday everyone happy to have made
it through the week with you happy friday thank you michael enjoy your weekends third down one to go and just a power run up the middle good for the first down [Music] coach morrison all going with the shorts today i told you man he's he's got legs made out of like something special fire like i can't think of how it's possible but man it's just i don't know how he does it and now as i look he's got a i thought that ball was going to be stripped but he's tossed way back spartans said no thank you on that play [Music] yeah you'd have to be i i could never wear shorts credit to mr morrison or coach morsino or other but oh now it looks as though sorry it's a sweet and big hit
made that time believe by nico mon john good loss for the lancers now devin i have a sideline update here um i've been sidelined watching totally forgot what i was going to say thank you come to me connor roberto has been warming up that is exactly what it is so a little bit of uh interesting things to watch on the spartan sideline there in the quarterback situation third and longs have not been kind to east longmeadow but yet here's another 30 12. i wonder if hoffman will keep this one and he'll roll out to pass often firing downfield had a man open flag on the play pass would have been incomplete [Music] and the delay of the game before definitely not a bad thing so i believe that makes it what was it before third
and 12th third and 17 now so spartan defenses just gotta watch the outside run and cover downfield i know i make it sound extremely simple when it's not but that's where longmeadows had their success tonight and hopefully the spartans can realize that and force a turnover yeah i mean as long as the spartans don't let up any more than 16 yards here and hoffman will take it out to the left and you know he's going to have enough for the first down this time as well he makes a few good moves tries to cut back and he's just absolutely crunched [Music] so spartans defense has just been getting destroyed by hoffman who has two touchdowns and he's got to have well over 100 yards rushing yeah he's uh he's been tough to stop on the
ground for sure hasn't had too many throwing attempts and hoffman will pass them past this time rather and it's complete tackle made but not before a pretty solid gain of eight sam martin for 3 45 to go quarter number two half number one spartans trail the lancers 20 to but they've been in this game just a few long meadow monster plays have been the difference maker indeed and it's a sweet play to casablanca and he has met tackle by 12 second and 8. under three minutes half number one sparring defense gotta make something happen here don't want to get this game get out of hand and it's a give and it'll be marred making a few men miss he spins away from a bunch of tacklers and he will be down inside the ten maybe
even the five first down and goal to go spartans i mean assuming long that i was able to punch this one in they got to find a way to get on the board before this half ends they do indeed yeah they get the ball at half you know you need a big play out of your team you either need to stop right here they got to be thinking strip yeah something's big has got to happen here for the spartans hoffman will pass this one i didn't i'm kind of shocked he escapes the sack and he flips it away it's complete and thrown out of bounds that's marred how did hoffman escape that one yeah i don't know that was mojon too he's one of spartan's best defensive players i am absolutely sh so was he
not on bounce clocks running so i am absolutely shocked long that i decided to throw the ball there i mean you want to keep that clock running down and they've had so much success with the run i'm so yes i mean their running back and hoffman both have had huge games on the ground um yeah let's see what they have what happens here hoffman under center will be second down goal to go and he'll just go right up the middle with this one spartan line trying to hold and i believe it's going to be third and very short to the goal line maybe one closing in on a minute to go wow cold cold and it's going to be a brief half time so i don't yeah i think five minutes so not much time
to warm why is that that's what the official said i think he said five and three whatever that means often we'll roll out to pass this one he fires looking end zone and it's dropped by casablanca i don't know okay finally they stopped the clock a little late there it's gonna be fourth down i'm i'm very surprised i mean obviously the play was there but i can't believe they're throwing the ball likewise yeah i don't know so much success why would you change it up but i don't know regardless it's beyond me [Music] fourth and two for the lancers here all right here's the stop spartans needed seriously fourth down and two the line has to come up big here i know this one's going right off the gut or it's going to be a
quarterback yeah end around so lion's got to stack up and there will be a timeout i believe east long meadow will take it wow cold cold do you want some blanket [Music] oh yeah i forgot you had a blanket thank you you're welcome you owe me it's not even your blanket no it's not ryan delaney is just a massive human being right on the 45-yard line oh this is a lot better than what i was just going through yeah sorry i didn't really realize so devin michael how are you i'm every day i wake up and it's a great day to be here mike yeah i don't know what much every breath is a gift that's how i take it there you go that's how i take every day wow that is really inspiring some
days are better than others but every podcast [Music] podcast guy i've i've been on a few i haven't worked with a few but nothing along the positivity track but yeah honestly me waking up my morning commute just listening to a little devin you know i you know i gotta give some credit where credit's deserved my morning energy yeah of course going to the gym in the morning is a great way to wake up my morning energy comes from checking my snapchat story and seeing the great chico porth in the morning at 4 am yelling at the top of his lungs that just fires me up for the day and let me tell you it does not stop on his snapchat story at 4am it is constant hoffman will roll out and he's able to walk
in for his third touchdown of the evening 26 to 6. that is the third touchdown of the day for mr colin hoffman spartans will get the ball with 41 and a half seconds to go now do the lancers have a passing touchdown no they don't their running back has a touchdown correct correct yep sure and they're gonna go for two it's a trick play doesn't work out so it'll remain a 20-point game spartans will try and chip away at this deficit before the half but they're going to need another big play like they had in the first quarter in order for that to happen yep [Music] maybe eco mojo can pull off some magic here the westfield state committee [Music] okay [Music] 41 in one half seconds remain half one spartans drilled by 20 to
the lancers and it's an interesting kick selection ball is picked up i believe they did that just to avoid a large return at the end of the half be surprised tackle that time i was fielded by jacob jacob rabbited that time now 34 seconds here devon that's not too little time for the spartans to put together a couple plays they're not us why not us right let's make some magic happen here you know take the momentum into the half spartans down 20 right now 34.8 seconds remaining some people may round up to 35 seconds i'm gonna stick with 34.8 all right and becker and at quarterback this time it's a give to king spartans they've been throwing it all game they're gonna i guess run the clock out here um i i mean i guess
interesting call spartans seem to have no urgency so i think they're just going to take this one down into the half closing in on three seconds and they're going to let this one bleed out at the half it's the lancers 26 the spartan 6. spartan touchdown was landing robodoo from his brother connor good for like 70 or 80 yards 81 yards 81 yards there you go so mike one of the spartans got to do to turn this thing around they get the ball at half they've had a little production in the passing game run game hasn't been there much all they got to do to turn this thing around yeah i'm saying that the spartans need to come out strong in the uh in the next half here with some throwing that's where they've had
their success i think the passing play is where the spartans are uh needing to go for the next two quarters so um yeah i'm intrigued to see what happens also um try to just diminish the run game a little bit for the lampers they've been giving up a ton of yards use his arm a little bit more or have to use his arm a little bit more than he's had too do you have anything i'm just looking forward to the third quarter mindset on warm thoughts and i think the spartans they're still in this game compared to what we thought against minichok they get the ball in half they got a chance to turn it around yes i do we shall see stay tuned you're watching spartan football live on lcat we'll see you for
the second half thank you folks foreign so you so [Music] [Applause] spots welcome back you're watching spartan football live on lcat devin dobeck alongside mike moynihan jamie on the camera spartan trail 20 6 to 6. uh my roster must have blown away while we were uh we were um warming up so hopefully mr mack can help us in that regard devon how was your halftime it was warmer than than right now yeah yeah yeah sure this is like the frozen tundra and nico mojo makes a great play there to field the kick and he's going to try and get around to the left side and eventually he goes out of bounds flag flies dan manning leading his case little did he know there was a yellow marker flying above his head simultaneously kind of kind
of beautiful it was a good toss i mean you all know what's underrated is the referee flag toss yeah some guys can huck they can huck a flag yeah and it will be a foul on the lancers so spartans will be in longmeadow territory to start this drive 15-yard personal fall against longmeadow first down anthony slaw meadow from the long metal 45-yard line personal foul on longmeadow that's a 15-yard penalty first and goal not first and goal first down 10 yards for this part almost a direct quote from mr mack and becker able to receive the kick somehow some way and he fights to get just past the line of scrimmage bad snap that time yeah spartans starting off with becker here rather than roberto um yeah something to note backer it'll very long ten
past complete cology making a stiff arm fighting look at cj shane becker to number 15 cj how about that and it'll be third and short date of nine of the play third down and one the way this game is shaped up it's been almost a free play on both sides so we'll see if maybe the spartans can get a big chunk of this there's been a few 32 past plays that haven't worked out so i may have misspoken there but regardless it's been some booming plays spartans in the shotgun becker takes a snap and it's a draw to king king breaking free and he's got enough for the first [Music] first down run of 6 yards by number 20 isaiah king king is having more success than the last game that uh we saw against
min shock so definitely a confidence booster for him yeah absolutely yeah i love to see that first and ten spartans trying to get something going here they're down three scores no time like the present though and becker rolling out to his right he looks and fires did he complete that one oh i'm not sure if it was completed no no please wouldn't it just stink lining up next to ryan delaney yeah i mean i've just been watching all game you can't get an inch the wingspan on the gentleman impressive [Music] and becker this one complete again a good catch that time by cj calogy on a nice little slant route spartans trying to move the chains again on this drive it'll be third in another third down and short not surprised at all that the
spartans are going more with the passing options here rather than running um i like that [Music] becker there'll be a draw to king he got me he took off with that one so fake to king and we'll see what the story is gonna be this time [Music] and it's going to be a first down for east long meadow looks big 10 yard penalty maybe holding or something sort although they stopped any idea what was going on against longmeadow resulting in the first out of ten for the spark it was inside notice there was a jump or anything and becker this time trying to do it himself pile pushing spiral stuff pile did becker break out of that he did how about that play guess just never stop moving your feet and good things happen first
down and goal to go maybe a little life here in this third quarter eight and a half to go and now that one pass complete touchdown east long meadow it's gonna be dan manning with a touchdown the tight end how about that [Music] it's time for my favorite part of the game mr cj calogy field goal first first one we've uh seen hopefully they don't fake me out here and go for a two-point conversion that would be embarrassing yeah that would be it'd make out for it if they scored two points though and kick is up and into the atmosphere into orbit [Music] big series for cj there got a point and two catches 2613 spartans you know they can trim this thing down just chip away i mean they cut the lead directly in
half there um well no but kind of like a third well not lead i guess the score 26 divided by 2 is 13. that is an accurate statement so i guess lead was the wrong verbiage noun we are having it's way too cold for me to be using my brain cj calogy now is kind of sure that made sense but i think so if you have experienced cold brain syndrome please let us know because i think mike monahan may be the only person to ever go through that unless you're like hiking mount everest which would be an excuse actually we pretty much are hiking now yeah he's just gonna say can't be much worse than this and also should probably be more of an oxygen thing rather than yeah that's true but i'm not going
to say that because that doesn't help my narrative so shout out to the spartan faithful who actually came out to the game tonight and the lancer faithful i mean it is cold yeah it is cold my goodness blast that barely goes into the end zone into the wind is a touch back he's got a foot he can kick a ball also i forgot to give bruins update taylor hall netted his second goal of ruin in second and two days to extend the lead to 2-0 and i heard he almost scored a between the legs goal as well thank you to my sources on that one i mean [Music] for the value that they gave up for him it's a steal it's a steal just what we needed and he said that he wants to stick
around for a couple of years i'm excited you know what also excites me is a flag on the longmeadows lancers i was going to say spartans believe false start coach morrissino trying to fire up his team first down and 15. [Music] and where is the ball that's a good question it went off the middle not for much though [Music] spartans showing some life [Music] second down 12 to go and you know if you multiply 2 by 12 that's about the temperature i guess the windchill is going to have an effect on what we got and it's going to be a time out for the lancers stay tuned you're watching spartan football live on lcat [Music] don't let this now the weather app says it's 39 degrees the weather app is a liar it says it
feels like 31. i vehemently disagree i feel like it's and how about the fire coming from both of these benches holy cow this is the loudest i've heard of sporting kind of rocking and it's a give be good for a few but it's going to be third down scoreboard's pretty messed up i'm gonna third and five here for the lancers third down has been a little bit of an enemy here for the spartans so starting off this first half with a stop on third down would be huge [Music] and so it'll be third down five to go and it's an end to round play spartans trying to strip that football loose i don't know how that mard was able to hang on to that one but nevertheless jet sweep has been very successful for little
answers [Music] six and a half to go spartans trying to hang in this game all they need is a little consistency and hoffman the give it's gonna be two it's gonna be good for a first down flag on the play there looking like that's gonna be on the spartans um not sure what the what did you say it was going to be looked to me i thought it was going to be on the spartans although there's some excitement coming from the spartan faithful and limping off the field jack kelsey dc face mask on the spartans their personal foul i hate to see it five yard face mask penalty against metal first wow it's cold probably and pass goes way down field and falls incomplete i believe that's mojon on the coverage no it is not
no it's too far away for me to see yeah i can't quite i believe maybe long ago bingo on the breakup or someone else cj is that number 15 no he's too he's not tall enough yeah not tall yeah second and ten six minutes to go quarter three [Music] pretty fired up for some tom petty in the third intermission and the give is to casablanca who's taken down after a short game spartans all over him yeah the clock is messed up now it's saying a minute 45 i don't know now it's 5 30 all right we're having some problems 5 35 clock stoppage [Music] third down eight to go spartans possibly put to their biggest test of the evening it's a 13-point game and you can hear the energy here both teams trying to inspire
each other and give us to mard it's a pitch spartans get a hold this one's going to come back and brian delaney fired up on the sideline i missed it he just clapped seriously small hurricane yeah i'm sure the earthquake erupted in japan [Music] so it'll be third and in 18 mike i mean third and long not a friend of the spartans no i if i'm you know i would be putting in man coverage mr colin hoffman here he has had his way you gotta have a spy on him and he's gonna roll out here we go he breaks it out to the left and he's taken down it'll be fourth and nine i've already seen a long metal punt yet we have not wow long leno has been going on fourth down quite quite
often and it honestly looks like they maybe number 10 preston longo fourth down in 10. going forward on fourth here here we go could get the ball at midfield yeah we'll see what they run you gotta think this one's either going to hoffman or he's going to throw or he's going to roll out and throw if i'm a betting man he's going to roll out survey the field and make a decision that's right i don't think they're gonna be sweeping this one nope maybe a little play action so here we go fourth down spartans trying to force a turnover biggest play of the game thus far for the men in red and they go off the gut and a stick made spartan defense comes up big [Music] east middle at the stop turn over on
down first down into any sloan meadow sticking with becker on the quarterback spot here how about that just what the spartans needed huge play huge my feet are absolutely frozen it's going to be one of those painful thought outs too yeah it's going to be there like is this is pain or even just a hot shower it just doesn't help you're not even going to feel it no becker takes a snap looks throws complete mojon it'll be good for four second down six to go with under four minutes to go quarter three how would a score here be mike it would be good nicely put yes yep you're welcome thank you that's why they paid me the big bucks here by big bucks you mean free admission i mean yeah i wouldn't be watching this
game if it weren't for el cap and becker there's a quarterback draw he is sticked at the marker looks like he will be close enough we'll see if they give it to him let's see what kind of move the referees are in yes sir roll the chains yes the man in the stripe says roll the chains and that's what we'll do first down 10 to go big play by shane becker who's trying to muscle his team back into this one [Music] three minutes becker he's gonna roll out to his left this time he'll hang on to it and a big block there by kalodi becker with a good piece of yardage he's gonna have i think another first down mike becker the freshman is not by any means afraid of any contact those last two
plays he's tried to truck a few kids and seems like he's gotten one or two yards on or after contact both plays you know devin i do not like his blue cleats though i'm going to be honest mr becker if we could change those up at least for next year maybe they're sentimental you don't know and it's a pass complete to manning only good for about one a little extra there from the lancers referee's gonna let him play [Music] two minutes and eight seconds left on the clock here for uh quarter three but you gotta think four down territory given the timing aspect of this one absolutely i am chilled to the bone yeah no it's it's a cold one yeah it's not warm no it's not i apologize for going wait did i find
no that's my folder i thought i found the roster for a second which i think blew away when we were warming up which is a shame becker oh dj khaloji does third and one they didn't give becker the first down now it's gonna be fourth down and two four thousand and three did he lose one he may have lost one fourth and three wow good for you thank you as much as i would like to see cj field goal attempt here i think coach morsino's want to know what i enjoy conversions on forums yeah yeah you know what let's stick with that i was gonna say fire and heat but my toes would take a little bit man we do take for granted yeah yeah we are very blessed and becker it's a pitch and
mojo firing it downfield it's a trick play yes pass is complete oh my gosh this one may be coming back might be a hold mojo not seeming too thrilled what a play call this one is indeed going to come back how about that call ineligible receiver down field is that what i heard no can't be that didn't seem possible on that play cj calogy field goal i mean i wouldn't count that out he has a foot he has oh you're right i can kick it it was ineligible down field yeah no it's kind of a silly call i don't know how that happens on that play no i feel like it was designed like that anyways we'll redo it shane becker ball don't lie fires and it's intercepted going the other way the lancers and
so just like that momentum the opposite direction interception doesn't necessarily hurt more than a turnover would have though no yeah what's going on [Music] and this time it'll be a give and a good gain [Music] we are not happy not thrilled wow i don't know if you guys can hear the wind humming in your warm homes i'm sure it's here yeah i'm sure it sounds cold feels cold did we mention that it's cold to the viewers at home for those who are tuning in now it is [Music] and it cold be the end of the third quarter 26 13 is our score end of the third quarter 2016 as ours 26 13 is our score you're watching sword football live on [Music] cats trying to get fired up with the tom petty i don't know
if it's gonna happen i could use some of that wow it is cold red sox game unfortunately was postponed oh wow my aunt sent me a video of fire that wow something that would be nice seems very enjoyable i don't know if if she's trying to rum it in or i don't know regardless thought that counts we appreciate it unfortunately it's not going to translate through this line um however you're you had a nice tweet yesterday about the red sox red sox day games make school days way better yeah no i couldn't agree more honestly even though i lost yesterday no i didn't no tom petty being issued for mr macarene can i have a conversation with him a little puzzle you know it's cold when friction doesn't help just numbness all right we got
to stop complaining about the cold although it is cold i i will not stop complaining at the end of the second period bruins uh with a two goal lead over the new york islanders who they've had trouble with all season but last night with a 4-1 win now they're up 2-0 anyway so it'll be first and five in casablanca i believe we'll have enough for a first down here is the clock not running now i don't know what's going on with the clock just added eight seconds now it took away three huh yeah i don't know there's some witchcraft going on let's just because it's cold hoffman with room fires end zone wide open touchdown longmeadow someone in the parking lot is happy for the touchdown mourinho i believe was the last name on that
touchdown as i said earlier roster blew away um while we were warming up so apologies currently 32-13 if i'm a betting man i'm gonna say after this next nap it'll be 13 to 33. oh hopefully you're not a betting man good thing i'm a good thing i don't gamble um maybe a fake it is cool and incomplete yeah good thing you don't bet yeah wow this is quite the uh little photo up here on this blanket that we were gifted for the game rob gronkowski is keeping me fairly warm i think i'll just the person that's keeping me warm is not necessarily a good human being anymore he was grunk or necessarily a human being any now he was gronk's counterpart in the early 2010s run he was the other tight end a weapon of
tim tebow's florida yes not a very good dude anymore but he's on the blanket he's keeping me warm so former connecticut president and you come no he played for uconn for a little bit i think and then transferred no he listened to he was tim tebow's wife in that florida but that's okay i think he transferred no no transferring he may have transferred from uconn to florida but he ended up in florida at some point and that ball gets by mojon he's gonna have to recuperate and he fumbles that time i believe this is gonna be recovered by island meadow 11 11 devin make a wish i wish to be warm there you go this guy is shivering in front of us wow yeah no i i feel could use a little bit of offense
here from the spartans um 32-13 our score at this contest i'm gonna make a prediction here that uh mr johnny ferentino will have quite a pickup on a passing play so i can't wait to be proven correct [Music] first down east saw metal from their own 20. [Music] first down 10 to go 11 11 in the game it is 8 46 and it's a pump fake and a run for robodoo calling out blocks he'll have enough for the first and he's forced out of bounds might be a late hit go play there by rolling did you say flag no oh 16 yard run by connor roberto first down east long meadow [Music] once again we'll take the snap the clock is i don't know what is going on we're having technical difficulties off the wazoo
tonight there you go and robadoo forced out fires almost intercepted intended for mojon special weather report it is dry ish no rain coming down from the heavens i can't believe i almost didn't wear a sweatshirt under this i would probably ran through your brain when you were like no i was like i was like i'll be fine no no i do have pajama pants underneath the sweatpants i'm feeling pretty good [Music] really just the toes nobody will take this one on second and long and it's going to be an option play he'll keep it himself and only get a couple mojon wanted the football didn't get it three are game [Music] third third down seven to go and robadoos pass is intercepted flag on the play i believe that's after play though so this probably
was not coming back in the spartans possession interception on the play oh first goodness i believe a 15-yard penalty there on the lancers post interception 1002 to go we still have a lot of loyal listeners on the stream yeah um much appreciation and this one and a stick made three spartans among them among them or was mctaggart i believe no wrong wrong answer man where did that roster blow off to unclear that's a shame [Music] taking their time nine minutes 20 seconds left in not only the quarter devin or the half but the game [Music] flag on the play could be on the spartan tier neutral zone infraction is my guess [Music] oh just time nope i believe just a timeout timeout longmeadow and we'll get a timeout long meadow that was very uninspiring chant
unfortunately spartans seem out of it you can't let that happen in a rivalry game they trail by 19. no but you want to still see that fire [Music] [Applause] cold and i give this time i believe that's casablanca trying to create some room and he'll be very very close to the first down marker third down and one third and one you heard it there under nine minutes now thank you for joining us on this blisteringly cold evening at east long meadow high school devon dobeck alongside mike moynihan hello spartans trail 3213. lancer seem to have gotten the first down on that they did indeed michael [Music] 7 55 and ticking down lancers with a 19 point lead over east long meadow and it's a pitch play to mard gain some speed until he's eventually stick
down good tackle there but a solid game by mard before he was hit you can't feel good to have cold metal hit you in these conditions no god no like imagine the kickoff team who goes out there once every 10 minutes after freezing on the sideline and then just ramming into someone that can't be a good feeling no these kids are bred differently really give some respect to uh i don't know like aaron rodgers just like why would you ever play in green bay for as long as he did like [Music] and this time the give will be good for a first down and plenty more six minutes 40 seconds left in the game that isn't fact i almost just said i almost just blended fact and accurate i'm just yeah you know what mike
hoffman throwing deep down field touchdown it's gonna be number four again just a nice ball mike you know what cold brain syndrome might be a thing i think so you may have been experiencing it a little bit when you were telling me that it wasn't a thing not an inaccurate statement hold on the play against longmeadow wow so this one's coming back so that negates the throw and catch by longmeadow [Applause] oh my goodness [Music] 6 15 to go it feels like 30 degrees according to the weather app and often fire is complete won't be enough for the first but more than half gained back james mclaughlin on the reception it'll be second in about four or five played by 35 landon five minutes 46 42 40 seconds left that not a pass that was
a pass so [Music] and tackle made there we'll see where they mark it it'll be enough for a first down first down on the play release longmeadow 17. [Music] first down 10 to go under five now remaining in the game and mard's gonna break this one out and extend longmeadow's lead it'll be 38-13 17-yard touchdown run by 23 sam mard [Music] wow i'm sure that sounded cold oh my goodness like when did we when it is it was i was wearing short sleeves yesterday like what is going on well you were wearing short sleeves yesterday i don't even remember yesterday my it is just frozen like i sometime this week i was wearing shorts tuesdays well honestly sundays [Music] firing end zone touchdown longmeadow [Music] there that makes the score 40 to 13. yeah or
yeah i'm yeah it was a two-point conversion i forgot about the mard touchdown of course um 40 to 13. four minutes 50 seconds left here oh my goodness the game you know i'm gonna stop complaining because any of you spartan football fans for the past decade can understand that the thanksgiving game of 2018 yeah 2018 thanksgiving football game between the spartan sponsors in which hunter mazza had an unbelievable run it was 11 degrees it was i was in with wind so it was shockingly cold i will never i can't complain because we experienced no i'm still going to complain but literal literal rocky mountain weather that day on thanksgiving after the spartans had previously lost to the lancers in the western mass game correct game correct [Music] and this one is received trying to cut

to take advantage of the run game here and it's a run this time right up the middle starts trying to free that football [Music] four minutes remain in antarctica where the spartans decided it would be a good idea to play football game against longmeadow lancers in this type of of weather and this time give we haven't seen number eleven thank you auntie kara for reminding me that it's cold i kind of forgot for a second and i did not but she did remind me and this time not much there three minutes now this is like this is like the excitement you get coming into new year's eve right here this clock counting down because yeah let me tell you i am i am cold yeah yeah i would i'd be okay with no more stoppages

a million i see i'm going to agree with you there sometimes sometimes i'm in a mood and i'm like wow cheese it like sounds really so you know what it is for me is i'm never in a cheesy mood but sometimes it's not for everyone oh well no let me explain sometimes i'll come across a cheez-it and i'll pop my mouth and then i'm in the mood so i've always have to be initiated by a little bit of a cheez-it to get into it under 30 seconds and now we will get a victory formation long now we'll take this one 40-13 mike final thoughts yeah um spartans definitely were in the game for a little bit there um unfortunately things didn't start going their way and then i didn't quite fight back as hard as
