[Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] so [Applause] [Music] it's hockey night in western massachusetts devin dobeck alongside connor burke excited for round three of east long meadow versus a week ago we're excited for a good one glad to be here devin i'm excited to see the spartans match up against the nintendogs for the third time hopefully uh they can build off the momentum they have last time uh hopefully we can pull out a w as teddy kun gives chase on the four check duquette trying to move past him he's involved in a scrum now stepping in la flesh plays it up the boards now behind the net haynes coming to help and puck is collected by genevieve's he flips it up looking for terzi player to watch for sure coming in here tonight he
puts it in front to duquette nothing doing that's gonna be a uh crucial thing for as far as this this game is definitely keeping the puck out of their own zone they've uh had a lot of time spent in their zone across most of their games this year and i think it was actually a theme the last time against minnetonka where they were able to keep the fourth check out they score some goals giving traces chases derek grout and now chris sherwood playing it out of the zone for the spartans manitoba still without drew van zant with a knee fracture arguably one of their top few players keep missing for them and might be the reason for this watch is definitely going to be lou kane's on that first line he's an offensive catalyst absolutely
connor and alec nero as well the spartans leading scorer with three uh on the ice at center right now definitely another player to watch for east long meadow and shot in a row i believe got a stick on it it's knocked down and now shot goes on goal pad save sherwood aiden fisher crunched into the boards and they fire another shot on sherwood he makes another easy save and steers it out of harm's way we'll hold on to that one the spartan's definitely gonna have to make a uh a goal of uh trying to keep the puck out of them after they're out of their end for that long that that when the puck is in your end for more than 30 seconds that things start to happen jersey wins the draw and shot on
goal goes wide from aiden vreeland now david well keeping the zone for offense on the top unit and now duquette gets his pocket pick terzi trying to keep the zone now the other way luke haynes luke haynes plays it for himself around the net mouth terzi picks his pocket and he tries to play it but unfortunately genevieve's not on the same page and that one will go for an icing might we mention also senior night for east long meadows cj calogia and kun the honorees for the spartans two seniors cj the captain and a key piece of the spartan success the past few years cj's definitely been an anchor on that background absolutely in the past few years absolutely and sean goal from greelyn is deflected and goes up shots are three-nothing falcons early here
with 12 and a half to go period one now kuhn trying to find kane vreeland trying to track it down that one gets all the way to pollard now i hear mr pollard had some problems with me saying that he was gallant but unfortunately he's wearing number 30 which on my roster is gallant so and that one found its way in the back of the net well must have been just over his shoulder flipping right now it doesn't seem too i'm not sure why he doesn't seem too thrilled i will nonetheless you know well credited with even the scorer didn't know they just added it yes so that was pretty anti-climactic but seems like it looked like it was a same reaction you get after an icing call yeah but noelle picks top corner and
there we go now chris sherwood giving chase and that's going to be big for miniature connor after you know her final 50 seconds actually i think it's it's going to be and worse than narrow have some words for each other top unit for the spartans out there get past the defense pass worse flips it in and it takes a funny bounce and peter worse you can't you can't make that one up folks you cannot very low energy game thus far i don't i don't think that was a goal they're calling it back why i'm so confused i i'm sorry for the fans at home but we literally have zero clue what is going on whether they uh why did they call that back was it because it was like a two-line thing i i don't
know i don't know if you have an answer feel free to fire me a text or drop it in the comments below but um yeah that's interesting huge break for the spartans there and wish obama hops over the stick of hallock joe alec blue canes on the forecheck now dobeck well into the zone for east long meadow go back in haines and now reiko up the boards another key piece a veteran for this miniature team yelping captain and shot on goal by terzi just skips over sherwood and now terzi trying to cycle it himself plays it for noel david noel trying to make a move he gets behind the net that one's played up to freeland reeling trying to look for nero takes a f or for noel funny bounce off the boards logy can't
complete the play to haynes and vreeland trying to regroup for the falcons he makes the risk playing get away with that now vreeland genovese got it caught in his skates couldn't control it a huge couple of minutes here for both teams evan uh see how the falcons respond after the no-go call get back into it 7-1 and we are just over five minutes into period one falcons with a goal lead [Music] and now sherwood trying to get it to nero now sherwood tank up in the sideboard with tassinari now tassineri he loses it sherwood rips away from him and now it's dumped in travis arnold trying to make a play on it and he's swarmed by a bunch of falcons now chad o'brien in a tussle in the sideboards with dom beck and now peter
worse he has another shot deflected that one i sure would now nero trying to find the speed to get there he's taken down but a great defensive play made on the back check by i believe joe hallett and now don beck fires a shot sure what makes his seventh save of the evening throwback playing it for cune spartans three on three up ice cube gets i made there and now cologne fans on it and fires another one in noel trying to lift it out of the zone cj keloji keeps it the captain fires a shot on net and a glove save by johnny pollard it's gonna be huge for spartans to establish this on his own dime here they've been uh in and out for most of the period so far on pollard picking up
the starting role following the loss of corby marini who has some sort of and now derek grout walking in backhander not much there and now kuhn gets run into whishell bomber kind of trips and now haynes trying to make play dobeck couldn't swing it to haynes or to a cune in the neutral zone and the flash turns it over now walking in duquette that was redirected i believe by terzi some great hand eye carnations down there that's that's one of the toughest things to do you read a redirect of flying puck coming at you and that's why terzi's one of the best in western mass now dobeck he kind of flips it terzi says thank you very much and goes the other way now duquette and kenny lafleck knocking it out of the zone still
not sure why he was not given that goal but spartans will take it now dom brian he won't rebound spartans seem kind of flat-footed out there but narelle able to flip it back out to neutral ice now geneves cross ice pass then he picks it up off the turnover fires one that goes over the net and now slowing it down and noel a bomb from the point probably a shot for the rebound and o'brien gets tied up behind the net now tassineri running into the referee and teddy kun a good firm pass to luke haines luke haynes walking in he fires a shot well wide on the glove side and now a big hit by hanes on the way around and i believe we're gonna get spartans need to get some shots on goal need
to definitely test the goalie now johnny pollard so as you mentioned with a previous goal of being held injury they definitely need to get this guy shot and get him shots a lot believe we're going to see a little shake up in the spartan lineup chris sherwood on the dot he's able to win it to clojure who sends it back in hannah behind the boards gets stapled now fischer trying to do work and sherwood with a good keep for the spartans allowing them to remain in the zone then he's knocked down i don't know if that was one of the puck play but we'll play on now fischer tries to land a hit but he can't on raco and a great deke move walking in wishel bomber pass over and shots knocked down and flipped
over the goal but a good sequence there for the falcons another shot and another save ten saves now for colin sherwood early dangerous area derek grout gets it up to the point joe hallick shot well wide run into his aid and fisher hard he got almost flipped over there slow to his feet taking a beating tonight the freshman has a goal on the season but he's had a tough time playing with these big upperclassmen as luke haynes in a battle with genevieve's on the board and you don't want to poke the baron luke haynes because he will definitely throw a hit on you dobak is run into by genevieve's and now haynes lets him know about it sticks up for his teammate now david noel with a burst of speed kun closes him off and
now in the corner boards teddy kun hanes in a battle with terzi unable to keep the zone is vreeland breel in the bank pass to duquette kun comes in and takes it now dobik but now terzi trying to get another chance he's so good at creating chances for himself with that speed he just kind of glides around the ice and that one glances off the side of the post now back up to the point noel trying to find genevieve great defense there by jersey keeping the zone time going for the falcons 3 35 to go here out of the zone what they were signaling for i believe delayed offside yes as far as getting shots checked with the min chuck falcon just kill them cj calogy does just what we ask and takes the icing
spartans will regroup get some fresh legs it's not only the shot seven but it's also the chances stealthings are getting they're getting a lot a lot of open shots looks the net especially those redirects uh prosperous passes and of course joe hallock trying to work it back i don't have a six on my roster so apologies to number six seems seems like things are already starting to get a little chippy here devin let's see who's able to keep their head and uh stay in the game off the boards to sherwood he's run into by don beck seeing a lot more of him than we have in the previous two contests chad o'brien trying to do it himself the defenseman unable to sweep it in front and spartans were in the midst of a change as
well now joe hallett trying to glide through the zone he's taken down no call there one i think the spartans do you gotta be a little more physical here devin uh they're just letting these guys walk in the zone give them a little something i know these guys i mean me and connor will be breaking down the action in the short break we have is of course there's no zamboni between periods one and two we'll have a fuller look between periods two and three top units for the spartans definitely gonna have to get going if they don't have any chance of hanging around in this game now derek grout dobeck trying to make a play on him aiden vreeland and other defenseman's run into by caloji that's not going to use the body but we'll
take it definitely got to see more of that from cj he's got to be that leader on the back he's going to lead the boys absolutely the pullback and now dobeck trying to make a play on it vreeland the first there and now grout who also has a lot of speed cj keloji a good hit there on derek grout hood unable to clear the zone again we're stride 48 seconds to go terzi goes to the box and we also understand we're having connection issues um olympia wi-fi acting up again so we're going to try and go to a hot spot in the intermission actually um we apologize for the inconvenience especially to the miniature fans tuning in um but we're doing the ever but we're gonna try that out briefly and it looks like we're
gonna get another whistle i believe false start on the face-off i don't know if that's a proper term here but uh some sort of infraction coach reid very satisfied with his team's play obviously would have liked to come into everything i mean coming up a nine-nothing loss for coach i knew these guys wanted to fight and they weren't happy with the way that get back in the wind column here absolutely now alec last 20 or so seconds in this period he walks in trying to gain some support he seems to have been slashed no whistle as noel working it to genevieve's he tries to make a move around caloji eight seconds to go period one and now teddy kun loses
