[Applause] well it won't be a high school hockey game at olympia center without some technical issues but we're here devin dobeck alongside colin casey excited for western massachusetts rivalry matchup between the spartans of east long meadow and the falcons of minichard regional high school we are currently streaming on a hot spot because the olympia wifi didn't extend to rank two we're on rank two tonight so if there's connection issues i mean we're doing the best we got but we're in we're in a tough spot tonight but anyways puck comes down in the corner to noel trying to swing it up to the top comes to worse worse a shot on net skitters wide and now coming around again is noelle and it's picked off teddy kun trying to go the other way for me that's
van zant and now teddy cune will throw it right on the goaltender truth be told we couldn't maybe colin can know but uh there was a lot of goaltenders on the roster but no one necessarily numbered so we're not exactly sure who's in that maybe you know colin but yeah no i'm i'm still slept in the dark through mass life and whatnot but all i know is this mid-chalk team goaltending's at least their concerns because they scored 13 goals last time audience is a highly potent offense that this falcons team has and now here comes the falcons question homer in the corner now behind the net genevieve bees now dobeck gaining it for the spartans and now falcons swinging it up top it's thrown back down in the corner trafficking penalty coming up here gonna
go against the spartans and no possession granted there dobeck gets knocked around a little bit now miniature great pass in front and they're able to bury one early one-nothing miniature just a minute 26 in yeah good puck moving spartans unable to touch it up and miniature has dominated this early stretch they end up getting rewarded with a goal just an easy cross crease pass and didn't even have to elevate that puck to get it by and that's gavin boyce bomber i'm gonna pronounce that wrong wishing homer wishing palmer anyway spartans go down one nothing the weishau bomber had a golden assist in that big victory against aguam so his second golden season kenny kuhn dumping it in a little off balance there now going the other way a little bit of activity in the neutral
zone alec nero comes in lays a little body teddy kun swings it across ice it's intercepted the row can't collect it for east long meadow and kyung caves a man in [Music] now another battle in the neutral zone haynes gets tied up now walking in a shot pads save sherwood blue canes with a little check there and puck comes behind the boards monroe throwing it back out to the top dom beck throwing it back down into the boards and now cj kolody the spartan captain going up ice braden dobeck there to receive it off the boards and now arnold able to keep the zone dobek lets it go by la flash playing wing tonight and now cj calogy fires one on that glove save just a second shot on goal for us on meadow and
really the first sustained zone time they had i mean the other one was just kind of lofted from the neutral zone in on net minute shocks been really good against the boards to keep every single clearing attempt the spartans have had in spartan's defensive zone and now noelle gaining it he gets it over to terzi and now van zant walking into the zone he's picked off but zone is captain noel walking in and can't hang on to it falcons threatening again early over three minutes gone by puck goes down low thrown on net easy save for sherwood and now dobeck he gets spun around some traffic in front garvey caves the man in garvey playing defense he'll probably be seeing some more minutes with the aiden asher ankle injury and now go back collides with
sherwood and here come the falcons fire big save but the rebound and they're able to convert that one that's dom terzi excellent play by terzi followed his shot great job weaving through traffic to get it in on net that's one i think sherwood's going to want to have back because he made the initial stop puck ended up about a foot and a half away from him but he just couldn't find him time in terms he's so opportunistic picks up the puck fires it past him two nothing minute jog he was definitely a player to watch coming in deadly sniper and a great playmaker goal scorer known for being quick one of three players coming off the hatch and offsides is the call 11-11 to go period one spartans trail two-nothing the other two being genevieves
and i guess rocco the other one record five goals from the third line center not bad at all now caloji trying to get something going for the spartans they've had trouble scoring goals since game one versus aguam with only one in the series with west springfield and now chad o'brien he loses it teddy kun trying to collect it for the spartans now lukan's along the side boards gets it over to cune and nero almost offside but now the other way here come the falcons there goes duquette and he's running too and now a shot by worse he's caved in still kept in though they're not worse excuse me i'm falcon jersey it's hard to read the number column i'm trying to but the white on white is kind of strange now genevieve's behind the net
o'brien works at the cune blue canes can't touch it by and it's swung bounced off behind the net flail that by caloji now luke kane's he makes a move luke haynes walking in on a breakaway he dekes and hits the post might have miniature goalie might have got a piece of it but luke haynes getting a chance early and then a shot comes along in excellent scoring chance really good move as well but finish it bring it off the iron mukhanes has been knocking at the door of a goal the past three games he's had golden opportunities created by himself unfortunately unable to cash in and now garvey shot his block and now the other way here come the falcons that's derek grout and he throws down i believe sherwood sherwood not happy with the
no call now behind the goal garvey sherwood will just clear it that'll go for an icing and fresh legs for east long meadow now not quite i mean you have to well get a couple of guys coming back out with this icing but you know better better stretch of play since that second goal for me somebody saw the breakaway a good opportunity haynes couldn't quite finish it we'll see if el can take any momentum on it maybe get an opportunity to cut the lead in half now in a row trying to swing it cross and puck comes in and will be covered i don't know who to assume who's in goal it's either it's not powered it's either go on or i think it's got to be gallant so we're going to assume a galactic
net i'll take a look also at uh last game and see who got the bulk of playing time but then again in 13-1 victory i'm sure both goaltenders got an opportunity and now walking in vanzant he makes the dick movements three-nothing falcons spartans on their heels not much sherwood can do there he's a solid netminer but with 47 and period one spartans are looking up quite the mountain you got scores up and down this falcons lineup you give them opportunities they're going to capitalize and that's what we've seen so far in this first period still plenty of time left in the first and the spartans have given up the same number of goals in the first period that they've done all season long in half period against minichog yeah definitely something to stand out and
a big hit from van zant staple sherwood now laflesh he's run into a dangerous part of the boards luckily gets out of it safely and now here comes teresie what flesh can't buy and pass is knocked down sherwood tried to get it back to dobeck and it comes back in front dovak flails at it and he's knocked down in front bouncing puck couldn't get a good stick on it and now up ice here comes teresi he's thrown down wishing bomber and now teresi one timer for worse worse can't get a stick on it fouled that one off and worse sends it back in it's collected by kaloji beloji sends it around the boards to teddy kun gets it over to sherwood sherwood will just flip it in and spartans will change out teddy kuno picking
it up behind the net he loses it and now here come the falcons the other way caved in is i don't have a three on the starting the lineup but that was john joe hallach it's a lot better defensively from east london you saw them muddle that entry from minitrog and it led to opportunities the other way not exactly a high quality one from pretty far out but don't take any shot on that especially if it leads to an attacking zone face-off and again if you're just joining us we remind you we are streaming from a hot spot so if anything happens i mean olympia's let us down again we're doing everything we can but it's gonna be another tough one travis arnold the low shot it's black down and now the falcons in the
neutral zone picking it up [Applause] and luke haynes dumps cassaneri and now kyung takes a check to the back of the head from moriarty now luke haynes chip on his shoulder and he's gonna go interference i think it's gonna be on minute shock yeah it's one of those where there wasn't a whole lot of contact but he impeded his progress and she's tumbling down to the ice that's going to be derek grout going for two and you saw him take an awkward fall there but on this same rink over by the zamboni doors was where aj cuetta took that horrific dive into the boards and now dobak spartan power play has definitely been their kryptonite all season they have not been able to score but hopefully that can change now arnold gets it back slap
shot from arnold's block down in front arnold gets it back again throws it down to nero now nero throws one on that juicy rebound no one there to bury it and it's cleared couple of good looks genevieve's on the forecheck for the falcons and narrow can't get to it and that'll go for an icing yeah great great opportunities off the face off from the spartans seems like they've been really good actually off those attacking zone draws that's where most of their opportunities have come from with the exception of that luke haynes breakaway and they'll take a defensive zone draw here but they can get set up maybe they get a quick one and cut into that minute shock early lead three-nothing falcons six minutes in now lou kane or braden dobeck and now behind the
goal go back comes about to caloji cology a low shot is knocked down and puck is cleared and now arnold starting the attack for east long meadow he's run into and now reiko hit by kuhn and his ice again colin can you hear me okay because i can't hear myself but are you able to hear me yeah i can't i i'm having a little bit of trouble here dude there but um all i know is that the spartans trying to make something happen here but the minute shock defense is making it so hard on them to enter the attacking zone and with 505 to go in the first period and 20 seconds on the power play spartans don't have much to show for it puck comes in on sherwood he didn't even know it but
he's able to carve [Music] 17 seconds left on the grout penalty i don't know for sure what the shots on goal would be but i think it'd be closer than you'd think it's just that miniature has gotten such higher quality looks especially on the break that has made the difference on the scoreboard and someone's tying their shoe i believe that is haynes and he's thrown out of the dot for that now garvey chopping it up to la flesh the flesh turns it right over haynes trying to touch it by he makes a man miss going into the boards awkwardly was o'connor good to see him get off now tears he the other way slicing and dicing through the neutral zone o'brien steers it to the side now la flesh making move around one man and
can't hang on to it and kersey will dump it back in by this time it's been even strength for a little while now now luke haynes bank pass for chris sherwood kicks it to himself chris sherwood trying to make a dance move nothing doing there nice looking back check from the falcons and now david noel the other way trying to work it to terzi picked off by sherwood and spartans are able to clear the zone now chad o'brien under four minutes ago o'brien gets it up to picked off actually intended for the flash and now sherwood nobody home there and now the other way here come the falcons i don't have a two on my roster so i apologize but worse with a bomb it's knocked down by kalogie and sherwood will cover yeah shaw
getting some momentum after that penalty kill right after that they've just been suffering i really like that second line's been headlined by tyler genovese i don't they got reward on the first goal i don't think they've been rewarded since then but i think they might have to be the best line on the ice so far tonight and now hit the outside of the post and now aiden fisher haven't said his name all night but fisher and sherwood leading the attack sherwood swim moves a man and goes into the boards and now the other way here come the falcons it's going to be wishing bomber and another shot comes in wishing bomber there in the end boards in fisher able to gather for east long meadow he'll throw it around the board sure with the first
one there great play to keep it in the zone for minitrog and now fischer able to clear it haynes running with it takes another check goes down hard and now walking in a long shot from wishing balmer nothing doing there can't get through the miniature defense joe halleck with a nice defensive play [Music] and now the other way in a row and now halleck coming in and both teams having a little trouble getting something going pass picked off by dobeck can't dick around a man who would have been all alone kyun is knocked around and he takes another awkward slide into the boards seen a few of those earlier colin and now puck spit back out mid-ice and draco trying to make a move i don't know if there's going to be a penalty there
or appears there will be yeah they got a trip there uh kevin tripping maybe interference as well just another instance just like the minute shot penalty where he took away his ice and that'll send i think that's arnold to the box he's trying to play this case but no avail and so minute chuck's gonna enjoy power play for the final 76 seconds so yeah puck comes back out to the point fans and across ice to noel noel over to vanzant a lot of room noelle again van zant roseanne rips one wow that one came in hard and hot that's a heck of a save and noelle chops it back over to teresie shot goes up and into the netting we'll get a face off i think dolbeck sort of stepped in in front of that
one deflected that one up in the netting good job sacrificing the body 47.2 seconds 131 on the power play and on the draw will be tarzan dobeck is cleared by kaloji closing in on 40 seconds keynes is oh man run into awkwardly lose his glove and stick good to see him pop up again but a lot of heavy hits so far in this game he won't go down easy but wouldn't be surprised if he goes and lays a hit he's got that tory crew mentality where he gets hitting he he's coming in with a big one you better believe it within the next shift or two closing it on 10 seconds ago hopefully the spartans can get to the locker room without any more harm done another shot comes in juicy rebound in front haynes
swatting at it nothing doing and clock will expire as falcons get one more chance 44 seconds left on the power play three nothing is the score and i believe we're gonna keep it here um anyways the first period i think was a tale of two halves in that first period first eight minutes or so it was all minutes shocked east salmon was able to kind of get a few chances here and there i think minichog certainly helped out that they had that power play at the end to kind of get their momentum back but you saw meadow held their own the final half of that period we'll see if they can kill off the remaining 44 seconds of the penalty maybe take some momentum off that into the second period yeah so as you know
we're not going to do the ice here um we got two and a half minutes until second we'll start coach reed trying to fire his players up but a very tough first 15 minutes and chris sure or colin sherwood did all he could to just admit but unfortunately miniatures offense just getting whatever they want yeah two breakaways on those goals and the other was coming off a delayed penalty so sherwood wasn't exactly easy for him in those first few um just the first few minutes then again the one goal i think he wants back though is the the follow-up goal that he had the puck initially he had a save initially in front and it led to that second goal i think it was terzi who had that second goal uh not exactly you know
the the ideal goal you want to give up and end up scoring another one a little bit later but you know you got you have a short memory after a period left that obviously three or three whole is tough but we know it's not impossible the bruins have been doing it every single night it seems like coming back from three goal deficits see if the spartans could surprise a few people here and cut into this deficit maybe shock the world here in west springfield luke haines obviously had that breakaway chance unfortunately hit the post kind of been the story of the spartans last few games the the chances were there throughout the period you know haynes had a great move on the breakaway the shot rick shade off the far post and then a couple
of chances on the on that power play early i think the first 20 or 30 seconds that first shift on the power play was good they kind of went away from what they were doing they had trouble reentering the zone after that but we'll see what happens you know again 44 seconds the main focus right now is to kill off that penalty and once uh once arnold comes out of the box back back to even strength maybe that'll be the boost that east all meadow needs yeah and it's you know another thing we met asher out with an ankle injury he looked good in the first game against agawam um spartans were held scoreless in game two so not much to talk about with him there but he had a nifty dangle move to walk
in and go right around the goaltender wait patiently and flip it right over the pad for the goal definitely a big loss and now le flesh a defenseman who is a very offensive defenseman but you know playing a role that he hasn't been used to in the prior games and tom garvey getting some minutes the junior interesting or never mind i forgot we're on the kill what i was going to say cune doesn't take too many face offs so spartans got 35 seconds to kill on the arnold penalty and it's chipped up ice falcons trying to reconvene behind the net comes out and able to be saved by worse he sends it back down into the corner and now behind the net now grout comes swung back wurst can't keep a skate on it he
blows a tire and now nero running in for east long metal throws one on net and it's covered up cune might have got a little snow in the goaltender's face but let me play on yeah attacking zone draw for east law meadow if they could win it maybe chip it in deep and have arnold come out of the box if you try to set something up in the mid shot zone but it's a big gift and we'll see what happens and three seconds left on the arnold minor but now here comes van zandt with a burst of speed he chips it over noelle noel tries to go high glove nothing doing there and now moriarty going around the net he throws one on goal and it finds its way into the back of the net
i believe it might have been tipped by noelle so i believe i think you're right with the goal i think it ended up hitting him up high or was it actually you know might have actually been uh look moriarty skiing in as if it was his but i think it did hit off with noel but it's it's quite possible off a spartan before going in either way tough break for the spartans just 58 seconds into the period and the puck was handed to the miniature coach so i'm assuming it was probably moriarty's goal more you're already a defenseman and yeah noel i i have a hard time believing their top line winner hasn't uh buried one in his second year but right who knows maybe it was his but anyways i'm gonna say it's safe
to assume it was moriarty but who knows usually the first one to skate over to the bench is the goal score and they're pretty good about keeping the integrity of their teammates and not trying to take credit a lot of activity over in the corner boards spartans just trying to play for pride at this point they're down early garvey gets sandwiched probably a good thing there's another guy there two on one for east long meadow sherwood looking for fisher too much on the pass sherwood didn't have much time to react and now it comes out to garvey garvey fires it back in so spartans with a couple good chances unfortunately unable to do anything with them and now van zant the other way fires one in five nothing falcons tom garvey slow on the back
check couldn't get there and van zandt capitalizes it's five-nothing falcons i mean he's just streaking down that right side and if you're a sniper right-handed sniper coming down the right side that's usually dangerous for a goaltender you want to protect that glove side but that leaves that blocker side vulnerable and just a rocket of a shot there from drew van's dan it's clear he's a goal scorer and he proved it right there absolutely colin haynes on the draw for east long meadow he's able to win that one and now o'brien getting it to kun kun throws it in now nero swings on in front nobody in the middle there and other way here come the falcons walking in as genovese and now in the offensive zone pass out o'connor not much on that and awkward
bounce off the boards and sherwood forced to cover yeah i think that that puck that found its way through as that fourth goal in the first of the second period is one that kind of demoralized the spartans a little bit and that led to that second goal just nobody really backed there on defense and van zank going down the right side with his speed you forget about it coming into today the spartans had allowed six goals in three games but here we are five nothing falcons just two and a half minutes into the second period now in a row stick handling in his pockets picked and now the other way genevieve's trying to sauce it over and takes a bounce in on sherwood and he'll be forced to cover look at this i think the
scoring summary so far through the first five the first goal going to weiss obama there's a second and then it was terzi which would be his fourth that third goal of the period was i'll get back to that in a minute but anyways puck comes out in between the hashes and swung on neck goes wide and now juicy rebound in front sure would have to make a good pad save and he covers up trying to remember that third goal of of the period for miniature um i think it was i think no i wasn't who am i kidding and another stop it's the only one that uh slipped my mind but regardless five different i believe it's been five different goal scorers for miniature yeah correct and now the flash shot comes in redirection and
now we'll flush those little cross check on grout and now a deep move will flush tries to step into another man is swung on net by cassineri and now aiden fisher gets run into trying to stay with the play is fisher and sherwood takes man down he's going to go for slashing i think it's just a trip i think he just flat out took his legs out from underneath him and now right in front of the official that's a penalty ten times out of ten i think that's just kind of a uh a situation where fatigue set in for the spartans been kind of chasing the game in the second period especially and that'll lead to penalties so sherwood receives a minor for we're gonna go with tripping there never was a signal but i
think whatever it was certainly a stick infraction and so face-off will be outside of the spartan defensive zone on the dot and now garvey trying to land [Applause] that can't feel good right off the bat absolutely not now teresi with speed kun gets a stick on him goes right around the net now throws one in it's redirected in front great stop by sherwood he's got to have i mean he's led in five goals and i'd say at least three of them haven't really i mean none of them been his fault but three of them there's nothing he could even do about yeah he's gotten a little bit of bad luck they've been you know i'm sure anytime you're a goaltender you let in five goals it's frustrating you think oh i can do a lot
better than that but needless to say the spartans defense and discipline hasn't exactly been helping out throughout this game sherwood had allowed six goals as we said in the first three games so he's been solid in net for east long meadow but unfortunately the offense has been hard to come by 10 10 to go and now it goes into the m boards duquette there he's run into by arnold and now comes out to the point vanzant and he finds teresi back to vanzant and good play with a stick by haynes they will intercept the pass now arnold in a battle in the corner duquette comes out with it he tries to wrap around nothing there 20 seconds to go on the sherwood minor and now van zandt walking in and he goes hi guava he's
got his second of the night yeah there was some traffic in front that one going glove this time vanzant it's been it's been the best player on the ice in this period no question about it there's uh you guys looking at an assist earlier too on a two-on-one had a nice little over-the-shoulder look drop pass but the pass was a little bit too far forward said he said you know what i'll just go ahead and start shooting the puck and it's certainly working out for him as well as the miniature falcons so six something falcons hopefully you're sticking with us as we continue to bring you the action but regardless spartans will definitely be using this for film a lot to pick at and we're almost halfway through the night yeah this is just a
confirmation at how fundamentally sound this miniature team is i mean in all aspects of the game it seems like they're just always in control defensively there's really not been any panic when the puck's been in their end and their breakouts have been phenomenal throughout the evening so far here's an example one here they come it's gonna be salani the freshman in so we might be seeing a lot of new miniature faces with a five-nothing lead there's reiko in front and now it's gained by vreeland back out to the point shot comes in it's redirected in front and cology bats it out to the side boards another one skitters through the goal crease and now fischer playing it back on the boards and now here comes chad o'brien working at sherwood sherwood just clears the zone
spartans seem to be a little gassed out there as of now 19 1 minute chug out scoring their opponents to the first game and a half and this is a hockey game we remind you not a football game big hit in the neutral zone in a row goes down along with wishing balmer and now delayed offside spark or falcons forced to regroup luke haynes turned it over there and now duquette trying to throw it in front good block down from the captain now calogi run into you don't see him get tipped over very often and now right in front of the net almost like o'brien gave it to his coal tender please please cover this buck [Applause] [Music] really similar period this uh second is to the first three goals pretty early on spartans trying
to respond here if it's anything like four they'll start getting some chances late in this period but attacking don't draw for mitch just with the doctor for the falcons and now right in front dangerous place and a dangerous man in teresa he swings it back and it's gained by believe that's noel well hits fischer up high shot comes in it's redirected and now fischer trying to chop it up to dobeck dobeck sherwood gets caught offside [Music] nobody hung on to the puck a little too long yeah i think yeah i think dober didn't see sherwood coming down the left side just needed a little touch pass and it might have been a three on two coming in but you know sometimes in in these games where your team's trailing big you're just trying to get
the in yourself and then getting the puck in deep and then eventually set something up that case you shouldn't see the open man haynes loses the draw and now van zandt and i believe that's tersey firing one on net sherwood seems surprised at how fast that one came in on him and now haynes is knocked over tries to move around arnold loses the puck and he takes an awkward slide i've said that like at least four or five times i feel like i've said it maybe twice all season but we've been seeing some weird checks and now haynes unable to get one on net look out now here come the falcons two on one up ice now with speed walking in rayko getting it back noelle noel finds the back of the net again nothing
sherwood can do and he's just an utter disbelief spartans defense has been yeah noel just right there those are real well executed two on one it was uh it was between him and rocco racco who had five goals the other night this time recognizing his teammate was coming with him he was really patient with the puck and waited until last second dropped it off sherwood got some of that puck couldn't quite get all of it and the extra point is good um i believe that was the seventh goal of the game correct so i think they might have shut off the clock or stop changing it could still read six nothing but it's definitely seven nothing yep [Music] anyways fisher he's slashed and spartans will go to the power play yeah it's one of those
where the officials will call every single time you see a stick leave guys hands even if there's some instances you know where the contact wasn't all that significant but if it looks bad they're gonna call it optics are everything with officiating yeah absolutely as it stands seven nothing falcons five thirty nine to go period two if you're just joining us uh it's been a tough night for the spartans but here they go to the power play nero fires one on that good pad save and now caloji tossing one in and falcons are able to clear [Music] cology with a nice little move there to escape the pressure but comes right out to the neutral zone and mike moriarty able to clear it and sparron's unable to even really get out of their own zone here
on the power play and it's dumped in again by moriarty arnold some good fortune by miniature despite being on the pk they've got this great one-two-one set up and east salmon are just struggling to get out of their own zone right now and walking in now shot from wishing bomber and now a bomb from moriarty but yeah i mean miniature dominating even while spartans are a man up yeah right off the draw isla meadow looked good set it up and then once chog was able to get it out there was delayed offsides that allowed kill off a couple of seconds to send it down the ice since then it's been all falcons so spartans with a defensive zone draw down seven goals on the power play and now the flesh and it's spun back in
gobek comes away with it the flash trying to get across ice he finds o'brien and fisher touches it in sherwood throws it fisher there and o'brien and fisher with a miscommunication yeah two guys going for the puck at once and you saw metal luckily it didn't lead to an odd man rush going the other way without with a the one guy going back without a stick and so now walking in the shot in a row can't bury one kobek gets run into la flesh shot and now o'brien a shot both shots deflected down and run into sherwood shot comes on it's deflected spartans with a little burst there but not going to be enough and it comes in on sherwood and he's forced to cover hopefully that stick's still intact or else that's going to
be an expensive uh we apologize to mr fisher if you're watching at home yeah but actually it looks like aidan's gonna save you three hundred dollars it looks like it's okay brings up a story i remember one of my good friends south point office who played for uh cathedral back then now pope francis of course remember he broke his stick the start of uh middle of january and i think he broke another one about two weeks later so it was an expensive start to the new year for him unable to touch it by and now teddy kun he's gotten a road to his left puck hops over a stick he didn't even know it and now teddy kun cycling it back up to cology cology back down for cune spartans with some good zone time
here kuhn or keloji way wide arnold touching it down to nero nero after the point arnold a shot it's batted down and now nero trying to weave through some falcons he loses it and now miniature back the other way behind the goal i believe that's somani starting to see a little more of now rico it's tipped up and kilojoules it down and he can't connect with haynes cleanly but haynes gets hit and that'll be a delayed penalty and arnold comes in and takes a man out and everything there's gonna be four on four now after that had the initial hook and then taking a liberty there was uh that was arnold who wasn't happy with where that stick was positioned because i think it caught whoever drew that penalty for the spartans in a soft
spot because he hands yeah yeah haynes was a little shaken up there and then just that's what happens in you know seven nothing game you get a little frustrated when you see one of your teammates get uh get a stick in the wrong spot and unfortunately for spartans now it's a coincidence but they'll actually still be five on five yeah they're gonna let them go five on five off offset penalties no gretzky rule applied here in a high school hockey and now walking in and tersey buries one miniature captain and falcons up eight nothing yeah the second of the game being just a stick handling clinic going on in the attacking zone moving from his right to his left waited to get that puck all the way on his forehand to get maximum power and
ended up putting it in the top shelf and not really any insurance needed but mid-chag certainly getting it here in the second period eight nothing falcons now dobeck fighting for the puck noel and it's chopped up jersey can't pick it off cology now the other way for the spartans held this wrist one around it's knocked down behind the net now 120 to go in the period and we'll get some clean ice as well noel getting it over to terzi and calogi with a nice defensive play with the stick and now walking in a shot good glove saved by sherwood on van zant yeah vancienko for the hat trick there i believe just the final minute of the second period but sherwood hey give him credit for sticking out there and still saying sharp i mean
some goal is you know kind of lose their confidence and just blow out fashions i mean you're just manichalk has some snipers and spartans have not had defense so it's not necessarily been all sherwood backhander comes in dangerous place in front of the net and now taking his time duquette swings it around and now wishing palmer gloved down by duquette and duquette can't move past o'brien we have 30 seconds to go in period two and now trying to work it up nero would have been all alone but it's just batted away by garvey and it'll go for an icing yeah just uh he took his time a little bit before throwing that puck up ice he would have had the outlet pass there to narrow and narrow's been a impressive bright spot in this spartans
lineup so far this year leads a team with a pair of goals a freshman he had an outstanding tip goal last game off the arnold blast but now teddy kun was he fires on skidders wide and now juicy rebound in front human gets it back out to the point with flash swinging it back around for kun kun touches in front and three seconds to go that will probably do it with flesh taken down at the last second didn't like that and period will expire falcons up eight nothing we may have to charge because we have no power source so bear with us if that is the case and we'll have a live up when the third period begins but other than that i think we'll take a break from the audio colin any final thoughts
as we head into the third yeah if you're spartans you know just have strong third period something to take into the weekend um this is a really good minute shocking team they're going up against evidence of how things have gone in these first two periods so you know it the deficit doesn't prevent you from taking something out of this game and if you can go ahead and finish off a strong third period not necessarily have to outscore or out shoot miniature at all but just any sort of positive you can take from this game would be huge going into a weekend game right now i believe they're scheduled to take off this week so you always want to have that type of momentum going into a rivalry game yeah well we'll be back for the
third period thanks for joining us and don't go anywhere um we'll be back here on lcat so all right i'll tell you i'll tell you when we can go now well rank two olympia eye center falcons in the words of colin clinging to an eight nothing lead as we enter period three spartans playing for pride at this point um unless you know who knows they could put up nine i'm not going to count that out just yet but colin in the third period here what's the game plan for east long meadow uh yeah i i mentioned at the end of the second period but try to find some positives take out of this game it could be winning this period you know obviously with the way the first two periods have gone that's tough ass
but it could it be very well as much as just putting together some good shifts and eventually of course trying to break through and break that shutout that i think is a game plan for these next 15 minutes just you got to look you gotta you gotta forget about these first two periods and take some momentum into what your next contest will be this this team will be back in action 48 hours from now so you gotta move on and what better way to move on and have a strong third period against a very good opponent absolutely spartans will be taking on the lancers here at olympia ice center on saturday colin and myself will be on the call looking forward to that one hopefully can keep it respectable and hopefully at least pull out
a win would be nice but long meadow a very good program expecting as much as we expect from chag coming in at least i'll be looking forward to knowing what happens between minichog and longmeadow when they square off but anyways here we go period three the crazy thing about this shog team is they're just getting started this year there's only their second game you saw meadow coming in this being their fourth game and now teddy kun walking in gets a shot it's blocked down in front and now down the ice cology gaining possession he spins one around kuhn comes away with it picked off by wurst he kicks it over to caloji cology throws it in and around the boards nero staples a man in and now kun gets popped up puck comes over and
kaloji rings the bell that was a bomb from cology and how did that one find the back of the net yeah i mean those pipes have been on the falcon side it's all second post hit in this game not that they've needed really any help based on the way they've been playing today but just unfortunate luck for the spartans who can't fight a goal right now rocket from cology don't know how that one didn't find the back of the net he had it this is labeled yeah it was there's definitely a dent in that post i'll tell you that and now raco trying to start something up for the falcons and the flash touching it over to dobeck and now maneuvered around and duquette walking in chips it up to himself shot is deflected down
by la flesh who can't seem to locate it dobeck and fisher don't communicate and finally puck is flipped up and out of play for a lucky miniature hometown fan this faceoff should come back out to the neutral zone and it will that's gonna be the far dot because it was lofted in or actually right center rice and dobeck on the draw with genovese [Music] now arnold can't get it cleanly to sherwood and that'll go for an icing minute 44 into period number three be interesting to see what the factor is for as far as ice goes because keep in mind that second period was playing on a on old ice and the fact that they didn't clean it after the first 15 minutes this time fresh sheet of ice and we'll see who that paper
is and now sherwood collecting it and puck comes in and i believe over sherwood and now arnold it's tipped up and entering the zone now here come the falcons comes in and now in it right in front and backhander comes on that i believe that hit the crossbar yeah glanced off of it bad turnover and front spartans just kind of getting in the way of the puck and now moriarty throwing one on and gets up and i believe that one skidded through the goal mouth and finally they're able to find the back of the net i thought sherwood was gonna make an insane yeah it's gonna be uh one of those ibuprofen nights for sherwood the way he's been getting peppered and throughout this game and that's just gonna be another goal here to make
it nine nothing but yeah you can't you can't say he hasn't stayed in that you know he's worked playing well off trying to keep some of these pucks out he's made a couple of really good saves just the spinach dog team is relentless coach reid absolutely speechless behind the bench we usually see him up and over the guys but he is back and not happy with the way he's performing and or his team rather is performing yeah this is one of those for east long meadow where you go to the lcat youtube page and you report the content and try to get taken off so there's no evidence of this one ever existing and you just move on that's kind of how this one's going to go three songs they've gotten a few chances they've
just been pretty unlucky in some of these finishes that they've tried to have and we remind you mini chuck had i believe 65 kids try out for a what we'll call it 25 man team so to speak spartans had as many on the roster try out and quite the talent as many making their monster now that's one of the big advantages of having two towns in your in your region for miniature but keep in mind they're not giant towns that just is a testament to how talented this group is and now luke haynes the other way it's going to be a two on two up ice wood in a row luke haynes walks in wrists one way wide now nero throws a man down and now puck is fired in by vanzant wide and now
sherwood the other way dump and chase for himself dobeck coming in and firing one couldn't get it to fisher and [Music] still coaching his team as if it was a close game let them know that hey that backdoor opportunity was wide open trying to tighten it up here i mean there's also a learning third period also for miniature good opportunity being up big to try some new things out see what works see what doesn't and arnold just steamrolled and now walking in reiko it looks like it's going to get to sherwood first so he clears it into the side boards now fisher making good play he's hooked down to look like no whistle and now dobeck on the floor check and dobeck almost he was able to regather his footing there that could have been
harry as well and dobeck blows a tire for the liking of the minichalk bench and now walking in derek grout good pad safe sherwood makes another one and now again grout trying to get it up to the point good zone keep by worse and then it comes back out to the neutral zone much needed line change for the spartans they had some real tired legs out there arnold laying a hit on the glass there and shot from grout easy save for sherwood puck is fired in and now travis arnold freestone meadow his pockets picked and shot comes wide by wishing balmer i'm definitely butchering that name so i apologize but is what it is [Music] and now cune run into in the sideboards cology can't get to it duquette with a bomb not much on
it not much of a bomb might have been intentionally wide because he did have a guy cutting to the net front and now good move and almost buried by wishing balmer and now trying to get it over to haynes two on two for the spartans haynes and kun duquette with a nice back check haynes sticking with it now and dumps a man who tried to hit him fisher back to o'brien looked to be knocked down in front and sherwood having to make another one he's allowed nine but you got to think colin he's got to have at least 25 saves or so yeah i mean he's been getting peppered all game especially in that second period it seemed like he's been shot after shot and he's gotten a lot of since that last goal he's
gotten a lot of shots put on him as well big reason why the deficit's not even larger and now walking in here's noel makes a deep move couldn't find the back door seem to have lost possession but he had sherwood geeked out and they try a little michigan move there that would you know i would have actually liked to see that almost that was tears he almost converted it one of the more exciting plays in hockey become more popular and more and more players are growing the ability to pull that one off [Music] and now comes out in front o'brien getting it to sherwood sherwood taps it up ice that should be an icing 7 20 to go spartans have only allowed one goal in this third and final period and manitoba with the face-off
win and now puck comes on sherwood he has to poke that one away and now teddy kun breaking it out too much for nero and it'll go for an icing nero probably would have walked in nero not the fastest skater but it is what it is that pass was about three four feet too far forward he was able to get that tape to tape might add another breakaway surprisingly there's only just been a one for the spartans breakaway despite a couple of odd-man rushes taking place these passes just have not connected for east palmetto and now walking in a backhander sherwood with a good pad save and now teddy kun with speed teddy cootin flying in all by himself shot right into the chest of i'm gonna say it's go on but probably not yeah
i believe gallant's on the bench so we apologize number one our roster got cut off it starts with number three possible we've seen multiple goaltenders in this game as well for for manchego they might have come out in the third and made that switch and it ain't nothing deficit now grown to nine and now travis arnold take it down he's not gonna like that and now an unbelievable deep move from mike moriarty unable to complete it though he's got a fisherman already hard hit and now walking in and shot hit the outside of the post by raco and arnold and raco throwing punches yeah and this is what you don't want to see when in a nine nothing game officials quickly trying to grab control [Applause] braco will go to the box he was throwing
some punches there he never likes what arnold has to say and you see the clock running here with uh nine-nothing game and probably a good thing here with emotions running high and right now i only see one uh one player in the box right now for minichog yeah so it's gonna be a as as far as i know right now with one player in the box it's gonna be a power play for each all meadow yeah the referee probably saw what i saw i didn't see how arnold initiated it but he's been known to get away with a few dirty plays in the past few games i think he saw meadows surprised because they only had four guys out on the ice yeah but regardless there's an opportunity for you so i'm gonna get on
the board late so yeah well spartans will take the power play i'm trying to get this thing sorted out before they put it up on the board and the clock's still running here it looks like i got another one so are they gonna have um they might be eject i don't know they might be ejecting him from the game and i believe they will that has to be the only explanation because it's still four on the ice have him serving it instead and so sam rico ejected from the game i believe that'll be a major penalty but the clock's running so yeah i believe it'll just be the remainder of the game i mean but who knows what arnold did we don't want to pin it on raco just yet he had a heck of
a game last time out five goals so and travis arnold with talent one of the better defensemen for east long meadow but and that one i think hit the crossbow arnold one of the better defensemen for the spartans but once his game goes to his head you know bad things happen and that might have been the case that led raco to throw some punches yeah you wonder if maybe that's the the reason why there's nothing up there on the board is because it's just gonna be a uh a continuous major until the end of the game especially with the running clock so regardless arnold back out there for east longmeadow and now haynes couldn't connect with sherwood and coach reed in a surrender cobra over there he's just not happy with his team and now
it comes in front sherwood trying to get one on net dobeck now cology at the point pelosi shot is blocked wishing bolivar and it's thrown in by genovese uh-oh weird bounce and now arnold haynes and sure we'll just throw a long shot on net and now comes back out to the neutral zone arnold plays it for nero with 136 to go and haynes knocks a man over dobeck couldn't finish the check nero gets run into and now arnold unable to stick with it and now noel in the offensive zone for the falcons one minute and 10 seconds to go and he's going to make a smart play and take it all the way back to his own defensive zone yeah absolutely help protect shutout as well for your goaltender 60 seconds arnold taking down there
and minichug unable to create a chance out of it aiden fisher with a good deep move to move by and he unfortunately loses it after the second move david noel now entering the zone for the falcons behind the net mouth 35 seconds ago probably gonna get a puck frozen shortly we saw a lot more of those than i've ever seen in the past few games but not there and now with flesh dumps grout and starting to get a little chippy oh man and he's counting the scoreboard there that was a noel pointed at the scoreboard right there and that's going to be the end of the game though final seconds ticking off as they go down over to congratulate their goaltender and a credit minichalk came out here and played a complete game start to
finish nine nothing is the final thank you for joining us here on old cat we enjoyed having you hopefully spartans come out better 250 on saturday here at olympia ice center if all of us jamie on the camera colin kane and myself devin dobeck the voice of the spartans we'll see you next time
