Good to go. We'll call the Germantown School District Board of Education meeting to order at 7 p.m. December 16th here at the PAC. Um, if you're willing and able, please stand for the pledge of allegiance. A brief moment of silence. >> I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Item one a official meeting notification. Dr. Reutder. >> Public notice of all meetings has been given by communication from the superintendent's office to the public to those news media who have requested such notices to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Northwest Now, Express News, and Westbend Daily News. and public notices have also been posted in schools throughout the district and on the Germantown school district
website. >> Thank you. 1B roll call >> here. >> Brown >> here. >> Barney's here. Lo >> here. >> Pollock >> here. >> Botham >> here. >> Voyer >> here. >> Item two, approval of agenda. Here motion. >> Motion to approve the agenda. >> Second. >> Mr. Voyer with the motion. Mr. Barney with the second. Any discussion hearing? Hearing none. All in favor? >> I. >> Any opposed? Hearing none. That passes. Item three, reports, district administrator update. Dr. Reutder. >> Thank you, Mr. Eert. Uh, just a few things uh for this evening. Next week or this Friday is our last day of school for the calendar year of 2025. Winter break begins next Monday for a solid two weeks for students and staff. So, we wish everyone happy holidays and merry Christmas and happy new
year um and some time away. a long break this year. I think first time two weeks solid for for the first time in maybe the last six or seven years. Um as well as couple things going on in the district. German leadership Germantown was hosted this last week Thursday by the district. Um I facilitated the day with um members of leadership Germantown, various people within the community that work andor live there. We do have two representatives this year, Mr. Marian, our communications manager, and Mr. Smith, our high school principal. So, they uh assisted in presenting about the district with me, talking about all the great things that happened here, as well as we went over to County Line, took a tour of the school, stopped in a couple classrooms, uh met some kids, as well
as then went to MATC, learned about the programming there and how some of their programming aligns with career path work that we do here at uh Germantown School District. And then it ended uh with a tour of our facilities here at the high school from Mr. Smith. So great um interaction with community members and uh the ability as the uh school district as a member of the chamber of commerce and um the work that we do with leadership Germantown to host and show off um the district as a whole. We also held on Friday a community leadership think tank that was um facilitated by initiative one board members. You were invited. I know that it was a 7:15 a.m. meeting. I actually myself was unable to attend, but thank you to Mr. Barney and Mr.
Pollock uh for attending on behalf of the district and participating. I'm not sure if you had any uh thoughts or reflections on that morning and that think tank group that was presented as well as um we're going to be hosting in the future. So, I know Mr. Pollock, you shared a few thoughts with me. >> Yeah, I thought it was a a good event, a nice start. Um hopeful that more and more of uh the invited community members are able to attend at least once in a while. I know everyone's schedule's busy and that early start time doesn't always work out for everybody. Uh but I thought the presentation uh that we were part of was actually excellent. Um a lot of takeaways at least from my perspective. >> Yeah, I thought it was definitely
worthwhile. Um I've seen the dates for the couple of months going into next year and I'll try and block off my calendar so I can be there. >> Thank you. The theme I believe was are you playing it great or are you playing it safe was around the presentation and leadership development. Um Mr. Marian did a great job of uh casting a wide net of invitation, village trustees, people from law enforcement, fire department, um county um members that live here or members of the county board that live or representatives of Germantown, small business and large business owners. Um so we'll continue to invite that group as well as um expand that group and try to build some more connections that we've already started as a community and school district moving forward around the topic of
leadership which is always fun when it's it's free, right? And it's by a it's by a group that is known throughout the country on leadership development whether it be in the public or private sector. So more to come with that. Uh also this evening and it'll be reported out by Mr. loath and the finance committee. We had two different presentations that aligned to our GSD financial series and that information will be consolidated and put forward via our website and social media and on our YouTube channel um for consumption by the general public and we'll be using that strategically to reference along financial uh planning points throughout the fiscal year. And then um next month, but I just want to preview it, Dr. Castro and myself have been joining schools um to conduct listening sessions around
um the employee experience when it comes to um recognition. So um we've concluded I believe four schools and we have two left um and next month in personnel in January Dr. Castro will report out on his themes and what that could those implications could be to enhance recognition for all employee groups in the district. That's what I have this evening. And to everyone at home and to our staff, happy holidays. >> Thank you. 3B student representative report. >> Good evening. Welcome. >> Hi, I'm Cassie Zarter. I'm your uh student body president at the Germantown High School and I'm going to be reading these. So, let's start with MacArthur. Um they're wrapping up the calendar year with a strong academic finish. Across the grade levels, students are completing major units in math and literacy, ranging from
multi-digit strategies in third grade to decimals and fractions in fourth and multiplic multip division in fifth grade. The kids at MacArthur are also giving the winter map assessments their best effort before they leave for winter break. So when they return in January, the teachers will be ready to meet the students exactly where they are. This week, the school is full of seasonal energy and connections. Their winter spirit week is in full swing with daily dressup themes bringing fun and community. Kindergarteners are heading out on a field trip. Third graders are building gingerbread houses. And everyone is looking forward to the running reindeer PBIS celebration. They are looking forward to a visit from the high school on Friday before they leave for winter break. A huge thank you to all the families who supported these efforts,
especially those helping with classroom parties and donations. And they wish everyone a safe and restful winter break. County Line is thriving this December. Their school community is bustling with excitement and engagement. student and the staff have been enjoying festive spirit days bringing energy and joy to the building. Their concert season is in full swing, showcasing the incredible talents of students and providing meaningful opportunities for family engagement. They continue to prioritize literacy growth across all of the grades with work with the wonders curriculum, smallroup support, and data-driven instruction ensuring that every student receives targeted support to meet their learning goals. They're proud of the learning community and hard work happening every day at County Line, and they look forward to building on this momentum in the new year. At Rockfield, they keep on the learning. They
keep the learning going and having a lot of fun being festive during the holiday season. There's a lot of various activities coming up this month that range from dress up days to carolling. Additionally, the PTA put together some exciting activities for the students and families this month. This month's focus is empathy. One way to think about empathy is understanding and connecting with other people's feelings. Empathy is a practice that can help everyone grow in their relationships. It's one of three traits they focus on throughout the year and help students be kind. Throughout the year, students will be developing skills like perspective talking, conflict resolution, and leadership. Amy Bell is enjoying a full and festive December, beginning with the launch of our annual kids to kids to kids toy drive on December 1st, a tradition that
highlights the generosity of our students and families as they support our community during the holiday season. On December 4th, we gather for the Pizza Ranch Boosting Night, a wonderful opportunity that partners with our PTA and connects families while enjoying good food and fun. They were able to raise over $1,300 for their school. In the days leading up to winter break, students will show their school spirit through creative dressup days that add excitement throughout the halls. They wrap up the month with a special virtual uh Bella Fest on December 19th, bringing classrooms together through a Google meet for schoolwide games and celebrations before heading into our winter break. At Kennedy, December is kindness month. At KMS, the K also stands for kind. We're being extra kind to our classmates, teachers, and staff this month with daily
tasks to spread kindness around Kennedy. One of them is to give a compliment to students you may pass in the KMS hallway. Another is to is to invite a new friend to work with you in class and sit with you at lunch. At GHS this week, we have been working on our winter wish week, which is where we give our students different gifts that they can send to each other. We've done donuts, cookies, we're doing fidget toys and fuzzy socks. Further, we're giving our all of our teachers a custom mug with some goodies in it. Um, and we're really excited to be sharing the festive spirit. We decorated our hallways and everyone is having a great last week before winter break. um our boys and girls basketball has started up along with uh boys swim
and drive swim and dive and they're looking forward to a really great season. And finally, our ghs marching band is looking forward to going to Spain over winter break to perform in their uh night of three kings parade. So very exciting stuff. Thank you. Happy holidays. >> Thank you. Enjoy your two weeks coming up. [clears throat] uh 3C village of Germantown leaison report. Uh Mr. Pollock with parks and recck. Yep. Park and recre uh recreation commission met on November 19th. Uh a little bit of a light agenda. We we were given an update regarding the 2026 budget which uh there were some adjustments made that that provided Park and Wack with a little bit more funds than they had anticipated. um basically what they requested. So that was good. Uh we also received an update
regarding the division road trail plan. Um just kind of an overview um of of that. Uh as always or or I should say now as always the the park and recreation commission meetings are uh live streamed and recorded. So you can always take a look at that. Um, we were scheduled to meet this week. However, uh, because of the holidays and because it was going to be another light agenda, that meeting has been cancelled. So, no December 17th meeting. That's all. >> Fantastic. Thank you, Mr. Voyer, Economic Development Commission. >> All right. So, the EDC did meet on December 9th at 6. We met for about an hour and a half. Um, the general theme of the meeting was supporting Germantown and growing Germantown. So, we had three main topics during the meeting. The first
one was a loan pool application which was $25,000 per small business at a 1%. Uh four different applications were accepted. The second thing was the celebrate Germantown marketing campaign. They're looking to kind of update some things. Uh Jan Miller did give us homework. So, thank you for the homework, Trustee Jan Miller. Um to find purpose, to find strategy, and to find a different name for this. Um I think I'm going with something simple like explore German Town. Uh lastly, we were shown slides of vacant lots and buildings. Um there's more to come next meeting with that. I think we're looking for some more information and we are meeting January 13th at 6 p.m. >> All right. Thank you. And then finally, myself, uh November 8th, the planning commission met and I'll discuss various topics, but
I'll discuss the two regarding um family home developments uh within the district. Uh both these have been on the the uh agenda before but they continue to move forward. So we have the Faith Lutheran property uh located just south uh on the south west corner south of the church at division in Meccoin and that is going to move continue to move forward. Um currently they're slated for 36 homes. I do appreciate the village and the uh developer including in both the reports from MD Raers uh information. Um and they did disclose, it was something I noted when I was reviewing it, but they dis disclosed ahead of time that the MD Roers report uh earmarked 26 units for that development. So they have units over what the Roofers report is. Um but as far as
the roofers report concerned, that's approximately 3% of all housing development. um slated for between now and 2020 20 240. So that's still uh well within the margins there. And then we have the larger development, the home path financial, that's Landon and Mechcoinro. That's going to affect Amy Bell. And that is going to be a mix of single family homes, 171 single family homes and 102 multifamily um walk up units. So larger style apartment units. Uh, and that one went through a resoning and preliminary subdivision plat um, discussion and approval at that level. Uh, the full board, village board met last night. I've yet to review that meeting to see how those two items fared on that docket. That's all I have regarding concerns for uh, the school district at this time. With that, we can
move on to item four, citizen comment. I think we have one signed up. Miss Griffin Wel, one of our teachers, I'm guessing uh, representing the GA today. Hi, I'm Michelle Griffin Wel, a teacher at Germantown High School representing the GA. Uh, first of all, I just want to say thank you very much to the calendar committee for giving us no school on Monday and Tuesday of next week. That is a true blessing as some of the students and teachers are getting a little fatigued and tired. Um, but as you go through the meeting, if there are any questions that you have for me regarding the GA, let me know. I'll try to answer them. If I cannot, I will take them back to our executive board and then get back to you. >> Thank you.
>> I just like to echo a thank you to the GA. Uh we continue positive discussions around negotiations and I'm glad we've had several productive meetings and we'll continue to do so as the year goes on. So, thank you. >> Yeah. And we appreciate you guys as well. And Eric, sorry we missed you last night. So, >> thank you. I believe you'll be back for another topic. Uh item five, consent agenda. Consent agenda A, approval of November 18th, 2025 meeting minutes and B, approval of donations. Have a motion. >> Move approval of consent agenda. >> Second, >> Mr. Barney with the motion. Mr. Brown with the second. Any discussion? >> Yes. >> Uh I'd like to hear some of the uh donations since this is a pretty big report. I think quick glance there's over
$35,000 worth of donations tonight. And that's that's outstanding. The the excuse me, [clears throat] the generosity of this community. >> Absolutely, Mr. Werger. >> I would love to. $35,6878 was my calculation. Britney fact checked that later, but uh thank you to MacArthur PTA, $4,571.19. County Line PTA, $2,82044 field trips. Amy Bell PTA $6,94545 for a Rockwell that will be approved later. Joe and Kristen Lowour, $250 to Germantown High School girls basketball. JPL Construction, $250 to Germantown High School girls golf. Ultra Tool and Manufacturing, $500 to Germantown High School robotics team. Cousin Subs, $250 to Germantown High School robotics team. Mahuda Tool Corp, $900 to the Germantown High School robotics team. Uplink Solutions, $250 to Germantown High School marching band. We had an anonymous donor of a hundred garment bags for the marching band uniforms at
Germantown High School. Kevin Britesman CPA $300 to Kennedy Middle School cross country team. We had an anonymous donor of $15,000 to multiple clubs at Germantown High School. Milwaukee appliance three microwaves to Germantown High School staff lounge. Fairways of Woodside Golf Course, $300 to Germantown High School girls hockey. Germantown Athletic Boosters, $500 for purchase of ion alpha plus 10-in composite battery. Ice operated ice augur for the Germantown High School Ice Fishing Club. >> Thank you. >> I need a glass of water after that. >> Yes, as always, just amazingly generous from the community and their donations. uh really supporting a lot of these extracurricular activities and uh kind of the extra amenities to support our students and staff. So fantastic work on the community and thank you. Uh any further discussion hearing? None. All in favor?
>> I I any opposed? Consent agent passes. Uh six, teaching and learning. Miss Higgma Mountain. [clears throat] >> The teaching and learning committee met on December 2nd, 2025. >> [clears throat] >> The director of teaching and learning, Jake Mizak, and the director of pupil services, Katie Cole, gave an update on October 31st, professional development day. They highlighted two key areas strengthening the connection between the work of professional learning communities and UBD and also engaging staff in college and career ready IEPs. The district continues to stress collaboration as a way to align goals and standards across our district. staff was able to provide feedback through a professional development survey. As the district received positive feedback from the survey, it stresses the importance of ensuring PD days provide valuable information and training to positively impact our student
learning outcomes. Jake Mizak then provided an update on the curriculum review. He shared an overview of the progress made by each of the um review teams, the active review teams, uh K through2 science, K through2 social studies, 9 through 12 math, 9 through 12 ELA. Their work is invaluable in supporting the district's strategic goal to prioritize academic standards, establish universal curricula, and refine assessments to improve student learning. So, we're very thankful for all the work being put into that. know takes up a lot of time and we definitely appreciate everything that um they do. Um and then finally, Jake Mizak brought forward an amended agreement to the existing CISA 6 contract. This will allow for additional in-person coaching on student contact days and profess professional development on district inservice days. A motion was moved forward
to the finance committee to approve the proposed agreement with the CISA 6 math center for an amount not to exceed $9,127 to be paid using the title 2 funds and we will find the outcome of that later. That's all I got. >> Fantastic. Thank you. Item seven, buildings and grounds. Mr. Pollock. >> Thank you. Uh buildings and grounds met on December 2nd as well. uh supervisor of buildings and grounds Frank Lord provided us a few different updates. Uh first off his usual work order completion report that covered October 1st through uh November 25th. Uh no surprises there. We did have a brief discussion regarding uh about adding on a quarterly basis how many total work orders were entered and some other metrics as well not only for this item but for for another item that
I'm I'll mention here in a moment. Uh he also shared uh an update with regards to Dreamfield dugouts uh mentioning that the project has moved forward on schedule without any major setbacks. Um everything the pre-existing dugouts have been removed. We saw some pictures of of how things look. Uh there will be a little bit of work that will carry over to the spring, specifically the logos being painted um on on the the structure itself, which makes sense, especially in the the weather that we're currently having or have been having. He also uh shared with us some operational expense uh projects. Um a working document will be created uh to identify the different uh obtainable prioritized projects and needs. um for the 2526 year. These projects will will list off lesser capital projects, contracted services, and
the work and maintenance that the German home school district uh performs. And lastly, and we'll hear about this here shortly as well, uh he led discussions regarding the Amy Bell climbing rock wall. Uh thank thanking the uh Amy Bell Elementary PTA for their generous donations, which we just approved. um and forwarded on to the finance committee with a positive uh recommendation from our committee. And that is all from buildings and grounds. >> Thank you, Mr. Pollock. Moving on to item eight, personnel committee. Mr. Brown, >> personnel committee continued the uh pinnies that night and as of December 2nd, we had no new contracts nor resignations. We did we do have two resignations that will be brought forward tonight to the full board under new business. For staffing updates, we did fill four special education openings
that we had. We did have another one opened up due to a relocation. My understanding is that uh the individual did inquire that if and when he is back, if he can return to that role, if it's it's if it's available or one similar. Uh it sounds as though the district and county line would definitely want to have those conversations. Uh we discussed enrollment updates and class sizes in the annual dance that Dr. Reutder and his team navigate in the everchanging landscape until schedules and classes are set. Uh Dr. Dr. Castro provided an update on the 30-day check-in sharing that the check-in and survey consisted of quantitative measures and qualitative reflections. The results of the discussion survey will be used to identify areas of enjoyment challenges and recommended improvements. A lot of very good and
insightful information was gleaned and is being acted upon. Thank you to all those that participated and we did have quite a few that came out and took part of that. Lastly, uh Martin shared with us a new approach to building the 2627 school year calendar that we will be using and improving upon going forward. The calendar has been built by the human resources then shared with district administrators, principles and staff for their feedback. Uh and at that point there is a recommendation that we do bring forward to the full board a positive recommendation from the personnel personnel committee to approve the proposed 2627 school year calendar >> that comes forward with a positive recommendation does not require a second. Any discussion >> I would just commend Dr. Castro on the new approach. Um it got
everyone that wanted to participate voice in selecting the calendar. So, I appreciate uh the new approach and the new lens on providing voice from the human resource department >> and I think if anyone wants to see more discussion on that, I'd recommend visiting the personnel committee meeting. Uh it's recorded and on our channel site, but I think that was a lengthier discussion. So, >> thank you for having that. >> Um that brings us to the end. I did one quick question. You said um resignation. Did you mean retire? We have two. Did I say resignation? Sorry about that. Retirements. Two retirements tonight. New business. >> I know it's a sensitive topic, so I just want to make sure we have it right. So, >> thank you for catching that. >> Yep. Absolutely. Um, with nothing
else, moving on. Finance committee, which we need. >> Sorry. >> All in favor of the 2627 school year calendar. If there's no further discussion, all in favor? >> I. >> Any hearing? None. The calendar passes for 2627. Thank you and thank you for the reminder. Now item nine, finance committee we had this evening, Mr. Lo. >> Yes, finance committee met earlier this evening here at the PAC at 5:15 p.m. [clears throat] Um, I haven't said it in a while. This will be the cliff's notes version of this. It's on video. So, if you want to see the full version, uh it's it'll be out there in a few days, I believe. So, this evening, you will get the Cliff's notes version. Um full board item 9A, uh committee update. Uh we, uh went through the
vouchers and Britney answered a few questions for us on the vouchers. [clears throat] Uh next item was the GSD financial services number two uh Wufar funds and budget planning and that was uh the presentation was delivered by Sarra Vera and that WOUFAR while it's a nice acronym to say uh stands for Wisconsin uniform financial accounting requirements and that is something our business manager uh Britney Oltonorf is using and it makes her job easy and I think it makes the uh uh accounting review uh easy also. So I'm not going to uh get into that much. That's why I mentioned Cliff's notes. Uh but Sarah did talk about the various funds that are out there. Fund 10, for example, uh is one of the main ones we talk about, but uh there are a lot of
other funds that we use uh to keep uh the money separate in separate buckets and money can be transferred between those buckets, but um it's not a regular occurrence. Next item was the GSD financial series number three Baker Tilly and that was the 2024 2025 financial audit review. It was given by Mr. Paul Frons. Basically uh we got a very good uh annual audit which um I would expect no less out of our business office. Uh everything is in order and uh not too much to report. Again, uh it's on video if anyone wants to see the whole thing. Uh I really couldn't do it justice here at this moment. Uh next item was uh Britney's variance report. Next item after that, we discussed uh transit van purchases. Our uh we purchased uh two transit
vans for $14,000 each plus uh fees. And the vans only have about 35,000 miles on them. Uh to lease new vehicles would be quite a bit more expensive than just purchasing these. and our uh high school autos program will be maintaining those vans. So, I think that's a win-win for the school district and our taxpayers. Next item is a fullboard item 9B, Amy Bell climbing wall. Uh the PTA has donated the funds for that climbing wall. [clears throat] And uh we have a motion to move forward with a positive recommendation to the board of education to approve the installation of a climbing wall within the Amy Bell Elementary gymnasium funded by the Amy Bell PTA pending approval of the donation at the next board meeting which was approved just prior to this. That comes forward
with a positive recommendation. Does not require a second. Any discussion hearing? None. All in favor? >> I I >> Any opposed? Hearing none, that passes. >> Okay. And next item, uh, full board item 9C is a CISA 6 math center agreement. Uh, that was delivered by Jake Miziaak this evening and, uh, it's a professional development for our teachers in the subject of math. Uh, we have a motion to approve with a positive recommendation the proposed agreement with the CISA 6 math center for an amount not to exceed $9,127. >> Comes forward with a positive recommendation. Does not require a second. Any discussion hearing? None. All in favor? >> Any opposed? >> Last item was we adjourned at 6:33 p.m. >> Thank you. that we'll move on to 10 uh new business discussion action approve overnight
travel requests ghs smarter team Griffin Wel again um the um ASBNB which is the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology ology conference is this year in Washington DC in early March and they have an undergraduate poster session at the conference and they do invite some high school students uh high school groups to come and present their action research and the um ASBN has decided to drop um from 20 to 10 um high school teams from around the country and because of the phenomenal job my students did last year in presenting their work at the conference in Chicago. We were one of the 10 teams that was invited back. Um the students are working with a new researcher at the medical college. Um Mila uh Puly Ley, she is working on her PhD currently and
we are still researching the same bacteria strain that we looked at last year. However, we are uh looking at a different protein this year. So, the students have drafted their abstract which then um gets sent to the conference committee for approval. Um we create our poster, we create our model very similar to what we did last year and um we are hoping to get to Washington DC for um our presentation in March. Um I will forewarn you that next year the conference is in Boston and um the students are looking at teaming up with an opthalmologist at the uh medical college of Wisconsin to look at proteins um connected to a retinol blasto um a cancer in the eye. So I am hoping with your positive recommendation that we are able to travel. Um we
would ideally leave on Saturday morning, I believe that's March um 8th to present Sunday, March 9th in the afternoon and then fly back later in the evening on Monday, March 10th, which would mean the students would miss one day of school. Uh but the students on this smart team, there are currently 21 and um 10 students are allowed to participate in the conference. Unfortunately, they only give us 10 spots, but these are phenomenal students. Um they have really high academic achievement and them missing a day of school will not be a wrinkle in their academic su success. >> Thank you. I'll hear a motion. >> Motion to approve the overnight travel request for the Germantown High School Smart Team, nine students and one advisor to travel to Washington DC from March 7th through 10th, 2026.
Second, >> Miss Higath can have it. Seems like teaching and learning stuff. >> Yeah, you Mr. Vy with the motion. Miss Higabath with the second. Any discussion? Sorry. Go ahead, Mr. Love. Yeah, I think I I I believe it was last year uh the students came and presented to the school board, not as a punishment of course, but as a uh just proof of all their good work, I would say. So, the board loves uh having students present and hopefully >> Yeah, we can definitely come back at the April school board meeting. Not only I think it's important for the school board but the community to see what the students are doing but also it gives them the opportunity to participate and practice their public speaking skills right >> which for many of them will
become very imperative in their future careers. >> You [clears throat] you can tell them that Mr. Loath would have been scared out of his mind in high school to present to the school board. It's true. Um all of us are a little bit you know worried about public speaking. Even Dr. Reutder gets a little bit nervous when he speaks to the whole group. I noticed right >> he doesn't want to he doesn't [laughter] he doesn't [cough] >> well and and a lot of these students are um introverts. They're very quiet. And so getting them to uh present at this conference in front of uh professors, scientists from around the globe. Um there were universities um from like Michigan, Ivy League schools. Um a lot of private schools from out east send their undergraduate students there
to do their senior presentations. And actually, one of my former students who just graduated in May from the University of Wisconsin Lacrosse was there presenting her senior thesis. So, that was a welcome surprise in Chicago to run into a former Germantown um high school graduate and now she's at the University of Michigan working on her uh PhD. So, >> Right. Yeah. So that that's why I started off saying tell them it's not a punishment. It's just practice >> and uh you know the public speaking part and of course they need to practice before they present anywhere right reading uh to a mirror to or to their computer and uh all works well after that. All goes well if they're prepared. >> Thank you. >> I'd just like to say thank you for coming and presenting
this. I mean, I know you don't have to, but it it's nice to hear from you directly what what it's all about and you did that last time and you've done it with many trips. >> It really helps us understand what's going on. >> Absolutely. >> And the purpose behind it. I'll echo on the presentation to us. Obviously, please extend that invite after after their trip to come back and uh present to us. >> I think it's a great way for them to advocate for the next group that might be hesitant to participate in something like that to share the positives behind it. So, >> and one other thing I do want to add that I forgot. Um, the students that presented at the conference last year and were instrumental in creating the 3D model
and writing the poster are now published authors. You can do a Google Scholar search >> um and type in um some of these students names and they are actually published authors. So, they can put that on their resume, college applications, >> which is amazing. So >> absolutely. >> Yeah. >> Any other discussion? Hearing none. All in favor? >> I. >> Any opposed? Hearing none. >> That passes. Safe travels. [clears throat] >> U new business B discussion action approved KMS hourly advising position. Dr. Castro. >> Yes. Thank you. So, tonight we're bringing to you guys a request for the approval to issue the National uh Junior Honor Society Co-curricular Hourly Advisory Position. This has been a position that has been there. We just didn't have it filled initially. So, Nathan Schubert, who is a sixth grade
