now from midfield longmeadow [Music] trashkovskiy tries getting to rosewell roosevelt with a good physical play and she's able to draw the foul roosevelt has not been afraid to go after that ball and trying to make something happen even with her team deep in a hole down four nothing with under 14 minutes to play in the game faithful leads to rosewell roswell's drive is knocked down it will roll all the way through the goal line and it'll be a corner kick for longmeadow probably just their second or third of the game we got a couple of substitutions for both teams and finally comes boydston julie air and it will be policia coming on along with kasparowski coming off for the spartans they're going to take off brown and smith who have combined for three goals in
this game and that shot on net misses wide to the right so if this is in fact it for haley brown it's been quite the game with two goals and a play that led to the third spartans goal certainly the start to her home schedule in her junior year that she was looking for and off the goal kick the spartans trying to extend their lead but having a little bit of trouble getting out of their own zone which we haven't seen a whole lot of throughout the game maybe fatigue setting in still just their second game of the year after a large amount a large layoff and a lot of limitations being put in how they compare for this season meanwhile felicia can't get anything going as boyston was losing her mask there and had
a one hand over her mouth trying to keep it on pass intercepted by the spartans and there's boydston tapped softly forward by gervather kasparowski tries to get back to vaither rodriguez shaw to the near side kenneth mccarthy finds a streaking felicia and a good defensive play to get it out by bridget jordan and there's a high drive that will hop out of pla no it actually will be grabbed by florio she looks to keep play going cradling the ball and patiently waiting to send it deep down the field it's played on a hop and sent back in deep by mccarthy and uh and look like an off-footed shot attempt that ends up trickling out of play 10 30 remaining in the game another substitution for the spartans bradley will come off as will maeve jordan
[Music] natalie o'connor one of uh natalie o'connor as well as mia mechia the two players checking in tough battle inside the penalty but or inside the box to [Music] try to keep the attack for law meadow but still just nothing doing against the spartans defense that is played outstanding to complement the offense reynolds smartly able to get it out of their own zone finds trezkopski let's play on the far side by longmeadow delaney rodriguez shaw's pass forward trying to run it down hustling to keep it in play and able to do so is reynolds the cross is boxed out by moreno it's back to make a play lancers keep possession however [Music] and that shot attempt by trishkovsky ramps up and out onto the track under nine to play of course along with girls soccer
three other well three other sports taking place or two other sports i should say taking place here on the turf as that one is launched up and out of play during the fall being boys soccer as well as field hockey again no football taking place until february at the earliest and the hope is of course that football players across western mass and massachusetts as a whole get an opportunity to play this 20 well essentially now 2021 spring season trevilla or sorry that's defloreo could you left it back for her goaltender to send forward on the goal kick it's a physical battle they keep the ball alive for the lancers coming down the left side it's pelecia lychee stalling pass gets through but a little bit too hard off of rosewell rosewell sends one in on
net knock down by the spartans defense ava presnol rodriguez shaw's pass goes forward diving out on an aggressive play by deflourio and that ends up forcing the ball out of play she had a a lot of traffic to deal with to come out and make that stop absolutely i think um so far in this game like she's been playing really well i mean longmeadow has come in and has tried to produce something on their offense and uh taylor defoyo has been the forefront of this defense and not allowing anything up in the back of the net so yeah it seems like she's definitely had more action than what we saw in the first half for liliana mantoni and just like that another shot on goal she catches it on the hop and is quickly looking
up field to start something for the spartans might be a one on one if boydston's able to fight by but good job getting back last offender being javathur that pass forward is a non-side play it is not as unable to get tagged up once again was boydston who is still down there after that one-on-one opportunity six ten remaining four nothing east long meadow and they will all but certainly pick up their first win of the year and improve to one one longmeadow would fall to one and one it's a great lunging play to keep the ball in front there by lacasic they have a presnoll boxed out by rodriguez shaw but her pass is intercepted ball just bouncing back and forth between teams right now on the far side and that last touch was off
the foot of kasparowski it'll be spartan's ball and another substitution as haley weiss checks back in she'll replace gabby michalski dribbling it forward kuchevia and hustling to try and keep it in but unable to get there in time is megan moore no and credit to moore no just the lone freshman on varsity and she's certainly held her own in this game gage hasn't really shown up on the well she i think she actually did end up maybe picking up an assist at one point in this game but regardless a lot of impressive things from just a freshman absolutely i think when you see a freshman go come in and play on varsity level it definitely raises some eyebrows to some some people and uh to the coach he obviously saw something in her and she's
definitely been performing at her at the highest she can today um i think she was able to get an assist off earlier off of one of the earlier goals which already proves that she knows what she she knows what she has to do to play at the varsity level just over four minutes to play spartans threatening for their fifth goal there's a pass lead forward a shot on net by missing wide and stumbling as you put that one on goal was weiss big goal kick for the lancers pretty solid crowd on hand bundle up for this game everyone here wearing masks except we're the two lucky ones that don't have to for but good thing no one's within 20 feet of us we can assure you we wear our masks when we're not doing this
brook martin fires one towards the center of the field and a great heads-up play picking that up by lacasic but you got a little over anxious and fired that one through the uprights above the goal you know i think from where she was i think you could say that that was uh the extra point was good to yeah that was about about from the 15-yard line which is where those uh extra points are taken from i need to give the chicago bears a call the blatant it's disrespect better now they've got uh i think cairo santos is their kicker so it's been a little bit of a an improvement nonetheless and they have yeah i mean they're three and ones yeah could be better i don't know how they're three and one but they are
the they're they're the o they're the overrated 3-0 team that's all we can say 220 to play lead pass doesn't get through would have been offsides anyways i believe in that clearing attempt actually clipped martin and ends up going out through the end line so goal kick coming up and a quick substitution for longmeadow and from what we just said all apologies to any bears fans that are watching nothing personal i'm a giants fan so it's a lot worse for me and i'm just waiting for the supposedly number one draft pick trevor lawrence to get drafted and then that's the team i'm rooting for oh really are you clemson fan oh absolutely nice yeah it looks like that's the team i'm gonna be following for the rest of uh the rest of the fall uh
you know it's either the jets or the giants is what i'm looking at so either way i'm yeah you might want to wait until the next clemson quarterback prospect at that point minute 25 left sent in by morneau the freshman coming right back to longmeadow but it'll stay with the spartans and moreno will tee it up again morneau threads the needle and this ball's dropped all the way back surrounded by some long met by some lancers forwards chipped forward looking for maybe one last opportunity to break the shutout was walsh but ball's last touched by long meadow we got a whistle if on me song meadow i would just get the ball in bounds and just take your time if you have to keep it in the back in your zone and just pass it
around do that but you're up for nothing there's no need to push it keep this shut out allow both goaltenders to have great amazing games for your team but personally i would think that uh taylor deflourio has had the upper hand due to this fourth quarter uh surge that uh longmeadow was trying to produce florio sends it out 25 seconds left in the game chipped forward to the far side trying to keep it in was policia just a mass of red shirts and we got a whistle blown and we have a free kick in the corner but eight seconds left i'm not even sure if they're gonna get it off clock continues to tick finally put in play two seconds the cross is knocked down and that is the game in the spartans with a
convincing four to nothing victory over their bitter rivals along meadow lancers headlined by two haley brown goals the spartans improve to one and one on the season and knock the longmeadow lancers down to one and one gage your final thoughts on this dominant victory for the spartans a couple of keynotes to take away is one longmeadow defense is definitely going to have to keep an eye on what they were doing they were allowing hayley brown to be wide open i don't know if that was game plan thinking that she wasn't going to be able to produce on offense or if it was just a mistake but it happened multiple times and it cost them big time in this game another thing was the defense free song meadow and the offense great performance both goaltenders great
performances i think there's not much that they need to change but either way they're gonna try and look to improve to two and one next week all right until next time for our producer jamie rook for gage and myself i'm colin casey thanks for tuning in and we will see you on the next broadcast remember lcat now broadcasting live east long meadow sporting events so if you can't make it to the field be sure to tune in throughout this fall thanks again everybody and enjoy the rest of your night
