001Good morning. The Mercer County Board of Education is here today on April 21st, 2026 at 7:45 a.m. in special session. Sorry for the early morning, but all board members except Ms. Sandy Smith have to be out of town here shortly. We all are heading to Charleston, so we had to start early this morning. Earlier for some of us than others. So let's do the pledge real quick. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. We are here today to hear and consider any objections to the rate of levy for fiscal year 24-25 property taxation. Looking around the room, I don't think there's anybody here to express any objections. Um Uh there's no

002citizens input on the matter. So, uh board member number 369 is the to officially adopt the rate of levy for proper taxation fiscal year 25-26. You have in front of you the levy rates for the regular and excess levy. Is there any motion to consider? Is there a second? >> Second. >> There's a motion and a second. Any Any discussion? Further discussion, I would simply thank the public once again for supporting the excess levy. Without it, we cannot function as a school system as you know it. So many things would be adversely affected, and we know that uh the community supports it, and we really appreciate that. So, with that, on the motion, all in favor signify by saying aye. Aye. Opposed likewise. That motion carries five in favor and none opposed. There are no

003other action items on the agenda. Is there a motion to adjourn? Move we adjourn. Is there a second? With no objection, we're adjourned. Everybody have a good day.
