24 09 12 Everett MA Crimson Tide Football at Medford September 12, 2024

001good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to horl Stadium here in Medford Massachusetts as we are in week two of the 2024 High School football season Everett High School traveling to meet the Mustangs of Medford Bob ever comes off a disappointing to say the least uh opener 45-4 loss to Mansfield uh worst loss since 2009 worst home loss since 1991 so plenty of room for improvement here for the Crimson TI absolutely yeah I'm sure they'll be looking forward to getting back on the winning uh side of the Season tonight for sure off will be number 91 they're almost ready for kickoff here Paul so ever will kick off going right to left on your screen beautiful night here for football a little warm but there is a little breeze we'll get cooler as the time

002goes on yeah I'm here kick is going to be taken at the 12 good return for Medford out over the 30 out of bounds just before the 40 car by number six Steve Mart Steve who's not in the program but we picked up his name looks like to get a market at the 38 ball first and 10 from Amant when the first series starting out in decent field position very good field position yep we got it'll be first and 10 for Metford on their own 38 yd line [Music] need hey we got Medford comes out with one back in the back field three receivers back is in motion that's Ms the swing pass will be in the flat he's got some room to maneuver he's going to be up over the 45 yd line good

003first play for the Mustangs very almost a late hit there ran him out of bounds pretty well looks like he picked up about seven yards on the first play yeah he was out in the flat B there was no one with him actually pretty good Pursuit by ever but still a gain of brings up second and three from the 45 yd line of medf the same situation as last week Paul with the the sidelines were pretty wide open hopefully they can tighten that up first man through that's going to be Ms and he is going to be stopped short of a first down looks like they gave him one yard though that carry should bring up a third and little more than a yard yeah third and two coming up third and good stop by

004the front when the ever defens play I would suspect Bob that even in the first drive Redford's in four down territory abely the Midfield absolutely I don't I don't see why they wouldn't be they know they're going to need to score some points tonight just under two for the Mustangs they also been at 0 and one lost a great a l last week Justin Marino is the quarterback he's going to hand it off nothing doing there I think even with forward progress they going to be short and here will be the decision for Coach Curley yeah it's going to be very close because he certainly uh now the forward progress looks I think he shot B yeah but it's close I'm saying they should definitely be going for no gain on the play it'll be

005fourth and one for so here's the first big play for the Midfield offense and for the ever defense just under 10 minutes to go here in the opening quarter at Hell Stadium beautiful September night for [Applause] football Marino this time has two backs behind him see if they keep it on the ground or go play action he's going to sneak it and he is going to make it good call absolutely yeah hell yeah yeah that's a good idea don't screw around with the hand off just back head down and go first down good momentum first down straight ahead five yards by the way yeah good good uh good fourth down play by uh the Mustangs that's going to be a confidence build for the Mustangs coming up first down on the first series absolutely first

006uh first and 10 on the 48 from on 's 48 yd line first and 10 on the Everett 48 we've just about 9 minutes to go in the quarter when they snap the ball he moves one back into the slot four receivers two wide two slot one back Marino waits for the snap gets it uh there it's going to be a double pass it's going to be wide open but it's coming back anyway every bit but there is a flag on the play that flag almost sure with some type of motion he certainly was wide open that's for sure Paul I would say it was a legal shift now second and 10 first and 15 they're going to push him back that was a flag yeah tell you what though it would have been a

007real C Le penalty for met had the ball over cuz that receiver was open by 30 yards yeah there was nobody near him sely had the defense uh confused there that's for sure so the Mustangs will go back five first and 15 back on their side of Midfield this time at the their own 47 845 to go in the quarter three receivers one back in the back field one comes around in motion there's the option it's fumbled the ball is on the ground it's going to be picked up by ever that ball is not dead now it is fum on the plan yl feni picked it up and was just kind of looking around what you got to go the other way sir I don't think I think he thought he couldn't run with the

008ball ball recover by ever it'll be ever ball first down well certainly a big turnover for the Everett defense and yeah surprisingly Paul it looked like he didn't know what to do with the ball that's will right absolutely I mean 836 Medford had something going penalty fumble and the tide come on the field just outside the Medford 43 yd line that was yl feni on the recovery and no return yam cuz he was station he caros Rodriguez waits for the snap hands off to Manny Santiago had a good game last week Manny breaks a tackle gets over the inside the P looks like they get a mocking at the 39 Paul good pickup looks like he got close to five yards on the play Manny had 65 yards carries last week lost the [Music] Manfield

009ever had 67 yards net rushing overall so it was pretty much Manny and only Manny second and six at the Medford 39 this is going to come Jet Sweep going the other way that is Lucas brdo hey he looks like he picked up the first down yeah so that would be ever's first down of the night I think he's going to be just shot oh yeah they did they marked it shot you are correct although like they because obviously they very much in four down territory so pretty much have a wide open playbook here at your disposal but caros is just going to hand it off to man he breaks one tackle he canot break two three what a huge loss there third and less than a half yard we a person almost looked like

010a broken play they weren't sure what they were going to do with the ball wellow they're going to bring up the butt team from third and less than one to Fourth and 12 looks like Alex ararez is back there if I'm looking at it correctly he kicked off [Music] looy snap that'ss it off get away poison it's going to be down by ever at the 17 Prett good job by lar getting that up that snap was in the air too long 28 yds on the punt the Medford will get it right back so good job by the Mustang defense but uh never you said that was a slow developing play on Third and less than a yard and Manny tried to make something out of nothing and ended up unfortunately with less than nothing an

01111 yd loss especially the the formation there rul was surprised third and it was like third and inches and they were they were deep in the back field and the shotgun as well you that was a uh the met at first and 10 at their own 17 second series The first one ended with a fumble recovered by Everett Marino takes the snap straight handoff going to get about four or five yards still moving push him I think that was Martins yep it [Music] was looks like they gave him six yards on the play I don't didn't look like he got that much but it's saying second and four eight of six on the play second and four six second second and short how's [Applause] that pass formation out to the flat that Ball's going to

012be caught breaks the tackle cuts it inside this is going to be a first down for Med for number 17 Darius weeks complete yep up over the 30 good for a first down the number 17 Darius week receiver was wi open good quick pass Mustang first down second first down of the game for the Mustangs said ever made history with that loss last week have some history going into this game we'll get into as we go along first and 10 for the Mustangs Marino back to pass look like he was looking deep now he's going to tuck it and run Jukes gets out of bounds no he doesn't get out of bounds good job he did stay in bounds and pick up the first down excellent scramble by quarterback number 10 Justin Marino very nice

013one looks like they're going to mark it at the 45 yd line for another firstes down defense could to come up grab them arms looks like they were just trying to push him out of bounds did not go out of bounds and Medford is in business with it third first down of this first quarter shotgun they're going to look to throw again they have some confidence oh right good ass just right in the hands of Samuel der unfortunately dropped it'll bring up second and 10 it'll be second and 10 for MF yeah he was wide open good pass just did not hold on to it big Big Break by 30 straight times yeah I see the wreck is pretty uh by Aver 30 points points yes tell you one real anomaly in the series in

014a minute second and 10 at the 45 yd line in the flat good catch nice catch by Prince Xavier Prince Xavier very good catch complete Prince Xavier uh third and two he is going to set up yeah picked up about eight yards on the play Third and two very good pass and catch by the Mustangs well these teams have played 121 times Everett W74 medri 42 five ties there have been 66 shoutouts in the series in21 games 47 designed run by Marino he's going to have a first down car by number 10 justtin Marino good for a Mustang first down yeah get to the edge what this is accomplishing but it's accomplishing a lot it's keeping the ball out of ever's hands but you can just see the confidence growing me really really good job

015with their play calling and execution we also want absolutely thank our sponsors and please visit the Mustang concession stand defense needs to come up with a big play next week the Mustang they're on the heels that's for sure in the flat over throw pass by Marino his Le once again next week the Mustangs will travel to LY Classico on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and tomorrow JB game is at e Stadium at 4:15 a.m. second and 10 for the Mustangs stays at the ever 43 we have 405 to go in a scoreless first [Applause] quarter it'll be second and 10 from meford [Applause] Marino back to pass again plenty of time his Line's doing a good job directing traffic stays in bounds and it is incomplete incomplete yeah pass is complete Bo he had plenty of

016time in that pass play Paul just couldn't find a receiver good good coverage by the secondary yeah but at some point Bob they're going to have to get a little B pressure on all day to back there's pressure whatever he's proven he can tuck it and run it too so big play here third and 10 for midfin at the ever 43 yd line 356 to go in the first quarter motion back Marino scrambles to his left throws a high floating pass that is dropped at the five Marino did a good job did a threw a good pass throwing running to his left throwing as a righty and the ball was dropped very good attempt good pass had it in his hands but he couldn't hold on to it big uh break for the ever defense

017that's for sure big fourth down coming up certainly not pting here I think they are pting isn't S yeah they they do have a punter out there but yeah I guess over the 40 yd line it's probably the right thing to do in this type of schoolers game linesman repositions the ball yeah 43 yd line P it's the right call the fourth and 10 is obviously a low percentage thing and you got a chance to pin ever inside the 20 inside the 10 if you get lucky I'm not sure what that motion's about a very good job but I think it's going to go on the end zone yeah two too good nice job Marino got a little too much into that one 43 yds into the end zone so Everett will come out 339

018left in the first period no score but so far first downs Medford four ever zero yeah but I believe ever ran three plays three and out three plays and a punt right so this will be their second series let's see if they can get anything going here on their own 25 20 yd line basically last week was the same thing they started out slow and they get a little bit of momentum the offense picked it up a little bit found a couple of wide receivers open and opened up the offense pretty well Rodriguez is in the shotgun he's looking to pass he has it dropped that's Ortiz that's a forward pass it's dropped Mas number eight the RL Ortiz is inom complete it'll be second and 10 so was pretty much the offense last week

019CL caught touchdown passes of and Y he had 34 yard of the the bulk of the offense was certainly from 10 20 this time it's going to be complete to Ortiz he's a big play guy he drops the ball but he was down by contact that's going to be a first down pass to number eight Y is complete the whistle clearly blew I know medford's pointing whether it should have blown it clearly blew when he hit the ground so be ever first down of the game which they needed good pass and catch no on the play everyone down by contact First and 10 at the 32 yd line 310 and counting to go he here in the opening [Music] quarter rguez has a back next to him and a back behind him he's going to

020fake the hand off he's going to roll it's going to be in the flat Flats in the grown negr is going to have another first down yeah looks like they gave him a good Mark in that for another first down yeah so they did pick it up so that's very nice play call yeah receiver was wide open number eight guy never has four receivers two out wide two in the slot one back man he goes in motion hits it in coming inside as Ortiz good job by the M defense the idea was to try to pick up some yards after the catch and they limited him to three and the defense closed very well on that play call looks like they gave him three yards second and seven for the tie two minutes to go

021here in the opening quarter at Hell Stadium sun is still out it won't be out when we get to probably mid second quarter or halftime it's setting in the west today in case you are interested misdirection to Manny no good fake by caros fake the out runs over a Defender and picks up a first down he's pretty happy with himself and why wouldn't he be yeah looks like you get up to the 45 yd line just for another ever first down first down good little drive going here for the offense Callos is not looking to go out of bounds there he just lowered his shoulder ran over for like first down ever Medford 45 144 to go here in the first quarter Rodriguez is in the shotgun as usual rolls to his right oh pass

022looks like it got deflected pass by number 14 Carlos Rodriguez is incomplete it'll be second and 10 for yeah I don't know if that ball was deflected but hopefully it was yeah went just straight straight down went straight down but it's going to bring up second and 10 [Applause] [Music] [Applause] second and 10 Rodriguez will come under Center he has Manny straight behind him toss to Manny it's going to be a power sweep to the right Manny navigates his way through a tackle and picks up about seven good run yeah very nice run fle his blockers good good blocking up in front picked up seven yards going to bring up a big third down here should be third and three for it'll be third and three for Everett certainly going to be a four down

023situation [Applause] regardless handoff wow not much yeah he looks like he might have lost the yard maybe they might mark it back at the line of scrimmage but it's going to bring up a big big fourth down watch the ball watch the ball two watch ball on two it'll be fourth down and five for E yeah so he lost the Y of two in that play they closed pretty quick on that looked like there was a hole there and they just come up and close big fourth down here forever it as we said there no way they were punting fourth and four Medford 39 Rodriguez out on the flat caught oh and dropped dropped y he had the ball he had the first down and then he juste the ball was knocked out of his

024hands so medford's going to take over first and 10 12 seconds Medford will take over at the 39 Medford takes over on Downs first and 10 Medford it's too bad there Paul because he did have the ball he had the catch and he certainly was the first down [Applause] territory Marino pitches at the last minute to Ms Out of Bounds at about the 43 close to five Ys car number six game be a gain of three and'll give him time for one more play well they only gave him three yards in that play wow this will be the end of the quarter I'm sure pass in the flat it is caught by number 17 certainly first down for metri keep the drive alive Darius weeks and that is going to do it for the first

025quarter and medford's got to be very pleased with this now being a three quarter game they start the second quarter with the ball the ball is at their own 46 it'll be third and three so after one here at Hell Stadium we are right where we started ever zero Medford zero [Applause] we just want to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors for today's game and be sure at after time to visit the Mustang concession stand next week the Mustangs travel to Lynn classical on Friday at 5:00 p.m. and tomorrow's dream of game is at Ever Stadium at 4:15 p.m. so Medford will start the quarter with the ball they started the first quarter with the ball they are going to be third and three three at their own 46 yd line and a

026pretty big play right off the bat here in the first quarter quarterback sneak Marino trying to push the pile he's not going to get the first down car BYO surprising they come up with quarterback sneak again that they needed almost what three yards down he got four the last time he ran it yeah go we trying to set him upside [Applause] [Music] [Applause] he good job by that defense here Paul they needed that stop it's Fourth and just under two it's not quite two but it's closer to two than one so we see what the Mustangs come up with here they will be going of course right around Midfield I wouldn't be surprised if they just trying to draw him off here we get a count just to draw them off yeah just what they

027wanted they had no no intentions of of running a play there that that is almost unbelievable wow Mustang first down I'm not often at a loss for words Bob yep and they had no no but let's start with inexcusable unacceptable and unbelievable at ever it's 47 yd line wow that's just what they were trying to do [Applause] there two flags down completed pass for Medford I think it's coming back otherwise it's a first down that was Prince Exavier on the play exactly so motion start against mford so they'll go right back to their 47 where they were when they drew ever off sides on Fourth and two [Music] [Applause] it'll be first and 15 for the Mustangs 1010 to go in the half motion back Marino pumps stays on his feet brings it down he's

028going to keep it now does a good job there does a really good job getting about 10 yards yeah I think he got a little more than that Paul looks like he's got maybe 12 that was yeah depend they moed it they pulled it back a little give 11 yeah big run a lot of room the the defense is just not coming across the line of scrimmage b car by number 10 Justin Marino good for Mustang first oh it'll be second and four for that [Applause] Marino designed run the whole time he's got two blockers he is around the corner oh there might have been an illegal block late in that play at around he went out at around the 30 Maro after a big game that was a yeah it's going to be to

029be bringing it back about to the 40 I think when we're done here it's going to they're going to still have about two yards to go penalty on Metford holding I think they're going to give him to the 29 on the run so give them 13 move it back 10 should be about second and one yeah they're about at the 39 yd line yeah more than one good play there though but he had room to get around the corner and two block loock is in front of them the edge they you can get the edge it was plenty of run room all the way down the sidelines so second and one Marino this will be a Pitch yes he does pitch it another good play by Martin easy first down b car by number 16

030Martin good for a Mustang first [Applause] down thank you he is going to go inside the 30 to the 29 give him 10 and the Mustangs are on the march on the move for sure it be they get the uh The Edge no problem at all [Applause] certainly first and 10 ever at 29 same thing got a penalty coming here oh yeah Now Medford is hurting themselves with penalties hold call their six drag on the Play Boy Evans has no Pursuit at all coming up from the uh the linebacker side the outsides are pretty wide open penalty against Metford for holding two yd Run 10 yd penalty bring up first and 18 from the [Music] [Applause] 37 uh three penalties for 25 yards for Medford on this drive and they're at the 37 so you

031can do that Ma Marino pop over the middle wide open and drop boy he is putting the ball right where it has to be and that's a third pass dropped there he is weeks that time 17 that was wide open hit him right in the hands he just couldn't hold on to it B going to bring up second and 18 of Greater cost for concern Bob forever is how open he was it's amazing there was wasn't a Defender probably within six seven yards of him second and 18 ever 37 830 to go in the first half of a surprisingly scoreless game that is going to be face Pass that might be a 15 Bob yeah four flags on the play certainly a first down coming up they got one back well it's if it's a

032five it's not a first down I think that he groundbed it pretty good personal foul against face [Music] [Applause] mask so we got to the 33 it'll be first and 10 for meford so if it's a it'll go to the 18 certainly a 15 for sure well when you see four Flags come in what do we got what do we got so it'll be first and 10 at the Everett 18 yard line be first and 10 from effort at the ever 18 yd line defense needs to come up big here they just need a big play Marino oh yeah breaks contain again gets out of bounds inside the 15o going to mark it right at the 15 I think Paul bring up second and seven we need a big stop here it'll be second and

033seven second and seven at the 15 [Applause] need a little pressure from the defense here big play [Applause] here outside outside again another penalty this could be another Medford penalty what the hell is he looking at what do he like legit the good news is for Medford he got to the end zone the bad news is I think there's another offensive penalty yeah it's going to they brought back it's on it's amazing how there's no tackling going on out there at all very nice [Music] run certainly a big penalty thatall big break for ever second and [Applause] 17 Marino out into the flat caught and nothing doing that time there was some good tackling by the ti very nice job by uh Richie L of three on the play it'll be third he closed very

034very quickly well me to really assert themselves with penalties on this drive third and 22 Marino is wrapped up and yeah he gets away now he's wrapped up again he did not get away the second timeo good sacri by that's a big play certainly needed it Marvin desero who we told whose name we called a lot last week but it was certainly the first Defender I didn't get the number there but he's the one who made the play put the pressure on him's on the side so this is the drive that bford actually got in the end zone and it was called back and now they find themselves fourth and 35 right I think they've had about what 30 something 40 yards with penalties in this drive we have those numbers uh in this drive

035they have 35 yds and penalties alone yeah Marino gets the punt off it's in the air a long time he gets a good bounce it's going to be caught at the 15 and downed immediately look second you're going to mark it at the 16 yd line be first and 10 forever from the 16 yd line 559 left in the second quarter Metro hero 's hero once again we want to remind to thank our sponsors for today's game and please head at half time to the Mustang concession stand and next week the Mustang F the L classical on Friday at 5 we know and tomorrow's game is at Ever Stadium first and 10 ever has six just under 6 minutes 559 to go here in the first half Kos hands to Manny nice Manny bounces it

036out nice clock now we're going to get a penalty on ever yeah they're going to bring this one back ball Carri by number 22 yeah and I'm not sure if it really was a blocking the back Ball but I think that's what you're going to see here flag on the play penalty against ever I think we're going to end up with the 14 just inside the yeah 10 y b yeah it's amazing how uh both neither offense can get from the squad of the foul at the 24 they moved it back to the 14 first and 10 from the 14 yline 5 and 1/2 minutes left in the second quarter and we scoreless in the flat [Applause] complete there is a first down biggest play of the night forever I think that was nice nice

037Ortiz got it turn to con it picked up the first down on a great run that other sidel line's a long way away from up here another flag ball holding on every oh my goodness wow the that's amazing that's uh 15 wow both offenses are being severely penalized in this Gap it's going to go back to the 12 y so first and 10 first and 12 now first and 14 it'll be first and 14 for six more of those it'll be a safety in the flat to AZ good good defense by Medford holds him inside the 20 up to the 19 yeah picks up about five yds on the play going to be it second and seven at the 19 under five minutes Bob 455 and Counting [Applause] oh boy nothing doing there oh that

038was in the back field there big defensive play there by the defensive front met check the numbers sacked on the play Third and nine from the 17 it'll be third and nine for ever this is not highlight film stuff folks not at off the third and nine from the 17 4 minutes left in the [Applause] half caros plenty of time bounces it outside throws on the Run complete good throw good pass good catch nice pass and catch certainly [Music] Lu first down nice catch by brle he needed that one folks certainly first and 10 forever with 350 left in the first half that was the biggest offensive play of the evening I believe but 31 yd gain first and 10 up to the 48 yd line still plenty of time 3 and A2 minutes and

039Counting looks like there is going to be Everett taking their first timeout about time time out ever oh really never mind good time out diabetic coach see if they can get something for plenty of time that I have try to get something on the board [Music] 332 left [Music] qu not working so still 332 left on the half Po and certainly need to get something going offensively good timeout here hopefully they come out of the timeout and they get something uh going with first and 10 at the 48 332 Carlos plenty of time again I think he's looking deep he is looking deep it's under th up and caught thought catch great job by yel Ortiz he went up and got it great catch it looks like they got about a little bit outside the

04015 yd line for great play good call by the uh coach good timeout let's see what they can do here with the rest of the half 3:15 and count M first and 10 from roughly around the 16 yd line caros yeah he's got this rolls to his right he's got no one open he's got to get rid of it this is where you got to get rid of it unless he can make something out of it coming this way he's still on his feet believe it or not what coverage by mford now caros has to run what a terrific job by the mford secondary look like he picked up a few runs after all of that picked up a few yards so now there's a late foolish late hit by Medford that's going to give

041ever a first down that's going to be first and [Applause] goal so after all that running caros picked up two but it's going to go inside the 10 on a really ill advised penalty by [Applause] Medford should be at first and goal from about the seven when we're done here yes be against Medford no no reason for that play Paul that's just what is the coaches great is that's for [Applause] sure it will be go for ever first and goal at to seven for the tie trying to get in and get something on the board and that is not going to do a playy mford is getting really good penetration yeah they getting him in the back field not even getting the hand offo noain on the no way to go on that play uh

042loss of five on the play is what it was L of five on the play second and goal from the 12 222 and County it will be second and goal forever yeah it's apparently they haven't gotten anything up the middle yet today they got an unbalanced offense yeah where's Dar yeah second and goal at the 12 timeout is called by medf yeah unbalanced left there on Ed and uh Medford wasn't ready for it so they used the timeout once again we would like to thank our sponsors oh we down to 2 minutes and 3 seconds there Paul this is the first serious Drive byson tide in the evening halftime next week the Mustangs travel to Lyn clasical on Friday at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow's JB game is at Ever Stadium at 4:15 a.m. I misspoke Bob

043it's actually 31 in a row edford is one in the series not 30 31 by an average of [Music] 28.6 Memphis last win in the series was the game we talked about ever's worst home loss since uh last week was the worst home loss since then that was a 91 3 that was that was against medfit correct wow we just have no no luck running the ball up the middle tonight at all well did you say no luck or no block I think both okay I just didn't I wasn't sure I heard you correctly I mean we we're not even getting the handoff they're in the back field but still a good chance to get this in second and goal from the 12 caros is waiting for the Snapp he has Manny to his left

044he's going to fake to Manny he's going to throw it in the flat that it's going to be a touchdown yeah wide open very good call Great call out of the timeout that's for sure little slant again yeah for his third touchdown of the season very nice call by coach Flores out of that timeout well it's it's clear Bob they do want to get him the ball in space as much as they can which is a good idea cuz he is explosive absolutely yeah kick is no good is attempted by Luca D Silva no good 15 in the well finally get something on the scoreboard here a 156 left in the second quarter ever six Medford zero you know normally Bob you'd say you know at this point in the game to be down by

045a touchdown Medford would take but boy they really until the the very end of that last Drive they really dominated the game and they on the short end the score and they have penalties to blame they were in the end zone They had a drive where they had four penalties for 35 yards total really really costly penalties absolutely they they went down the field with with not much much problems at all and actually did score like you said but unfortunately because of the penalties they took the points off the board and here we are with under two minutes left and Evers went down the field and scored and they actually they still have time Bob they still have minutes 156 plenty of time left for sure kick is going to land at about the 12

046it's going to be picked up at the eight eight and return to about the 20 yeah maybe just a little bit over the 20 and me will take over first and 10 from rough roughly around the 20 yd line trailing six to [Music] nothing 149 to go here in the first half however that last Drive ended up being yards nine plays with a couple of penalties in also cor right two penalties two holding penalties for 20 yards two big uh penalties still made up for [Music] it deep throw by Marino good coverage there was that last second [Applause] [Music] that's Perros [Music] yes so second and 10 with 142 left here [Applause] Marino the design run we've seen so much of he is going to be wrapped up yeah in the back field for a

047loss defense is coming across a little bit [Applause] quicker nice play it's going to lose five yeah five on the play it'll be third and 15 yes absolutely I think if I I'm ever out to take a one of my two remaining time it wouldn't be a bad idea set up on Third and 15 if they throw here an incomplete you you know you could have been looking at getting the ball back potentially with a minute and 20 left minute and 30 yeah that was a great really get the time back once it ticks off it's going to be under a minute right now big third down certainly they'll take one if they stop Medford here and the clock is not stopped yeah end never minute [Music] absolutely smart play by midford Straight Ahead yep

048should be a quick time out here which there [Applause] is they they lost roughly about 18 19 seconds there b yeah should have been a Timeout on the previous play they still have still plenty of time here though they're going to get the ball with about 35 seconds left and they'll certainly be able to run a few plays for sure B could go after the kick here as well yes absolutely just don't hit the [Applause] [Music] punter so out of this timeout it is going to be fourth and 14 for Medford at their own 17 yeah certainly in punting [Applause] formation Gideon lagal is back to rece they should end up with good field position here they should end up with very good field position although 43 yd punt by Marino the first time was

049too long put it in the end zone so we'll see what he does here this one's going to bounce the legal goes to was left has something doing bounces it out to the sideline he's still on his feet he is still on his feet all the way inside the medf 20 excellent return Gideon legal great return ever's going to have great field position with 25 seconds left in the half possibly put some more points on the board here it'll be first for at the Mustang 20 ydd line third 38 yd return for theal never is in business 2 [Applause] [Music] seconds caros for receivers Manny goes out of the back field of motion caros comes through it's going to be picked off by Marino and they're lucky it wasn't six what an ill advised pass

050that was wow I don't think you seen him he just put it out there it was absolutely the right thrown right to him that well unfortunately that's that's a a blown opportunity this is a absolute knel down if you're metri Bob with 19 seconds to go you're fortunate well you're in actually they're not fortunate to be where they are but um too many bad things can happen by they are 72 ydd away from the end [Applause] zone Marino comes under Center this is a nail down yep it's going to hurt rush aage but he'll take it so the clock didn't move at all on that play I just and now it's running now now that will be it two 1 Z it's the referee call timeout why for an injury number five on medfit was

051injured went to the sidelines but he should start the clock up now you're right that should do it I don't know how why I don't know how an offensive injury could stop the clock same thing yeah that one certainly do it and that's the end of the second SC so ever actually fortunate to come out of this with a lead they put together one drive and it was a good one they went 84 yards capped four receptions by Ortiz on the drive including a 12yd touchdown pass and that is it Medford had a touchdown call back on penalty Medford moved the ball very very well well so as we head into the break at halftime everage six mid zero [Applause] for going F another minute of the [Applause] welcome back to home stadium here as

052we get ready for the second half Everett with a late score in the first half six nothing the Crimson TI were kind of on the Run Medford had a drive where they took over at their own 39 actually got into the end zone well but four penalties on the drive for 35 yds one of them negating the touchdown and Everett to their credit parlayed that into an 84 yd drive that ended with a 12yd touchdown pass from Carlos Rodriguez to who else yiel Ortiz the kick was no good and we have effort Bob 6-0 yeah uh and unfortunately forever they had an opportunity late in the second quarter to possibly put one point from the board and they had the ball down at the 21 yd line roughly I believe 25 to 35 seconds left

053in the half and that's when the interception was thr and that pretty much took care of the first half scor but overall it's been both teams have played you know pretty equal jley m put the ball down ran the ball down the field and pass as well Flor and got call back the penalty I would be in for a tied ball game so uh to Bob's point seven first downs to Metford six for Everett Everett 17 yards on the ground really not getting any type of run blocking up front but 8 for 12 for caros for 119 yds with a touchdown interception 136 yds for the tide Medford 19 rushes for 58 yds 5 for 11 for Marino 21 yds 79 yards the real stat though Bob the two teams have combined for nine penalties

054for 87 yards five for 47 for Medford four for 40 forever and there've been several costly ones among them exactly yeah and like more so for met very unfortunate they had that that on far back and on that drive they had 35 Y in penalty along so other than that it's been a pretty equal ball game and let's see what happens here in the second half D certainly has to make some adjustment call on defense I don't know what what you know going on but they have no not the edges are wide open third they just you know they got they got to make some adjustments on the defensive side of the ball put this in some perspective Bob as we talked about Everett has won 31 straight games in this series by 20 an

055average of 28.6 points so Medford is going to be loaded with confidence then Coach JN Curley could justifiedly tell them boys we should have been ahead in this game but we still obviously I think he would have signed up for a one touchdown game at the half they are playing very well ever will get the ball first and see if they can extend this lead or will Medford defense hold and get themselves the ball right back that pretty much up hopefully they made some adjustments that Happ they come out a little bit more physical and G on the heels not as they were in the first half need to be a lot more aggressive on both sides of the ball they give a lot of credit for Med playing a great half what they play

056yeah I uh the the net R net rushing 10 carries for 17 yards is something we are not accustomed to at least on our side of the scorecard absolutely so we went from Bright sunshine to Darkness in the course of about 10 minutes ball is bobbled and picked up at the 11 and be brought down inside the 20 very very good actually the looks like around 28 Y Line first and for at their 2 yd line ever's going to start off second half on offense first attemp the 28 yd let's they can get something going here block spread the field a little bit and get the off so bu am I was it like at the end of the half wasn't a bright Sunshine now it's like darkward it's confused by all this into the

057second there he goes Manny he's brought down hard but not before he gains 24 y exactly it'll be first and first and 10 nice nice run there in the pickup 10 yards 14 14 yards and that's a good sign we talked about Everett's struggles on the ground that is a good sign to start out the half with a play like that first and 10 own 42 1125 caros oh nice defensive play there by linebacker yep pass unfortunately there Paul I didn't realize my mic was turned off oh but now it's back on so we could have there's so many times I would love to have done that with John Hoffman unfortunately when we were talking to start the second quarter well Bob was you folks are going to have to take my word for it

058here's Manny run inside the 40 but it is it's back it's back on now by number 22 big hole there the offense is certainly doing their job now they're opening up some big holes number Gaines 22 bum yeah Power running straight up the middle the offensive line is opening some big calls I would think the offensive line might have been challenged a little bit in the locker room no I wouldn't think so there's certainly coming out this is going to be a penalty on Medford yes I would think so offside yeah so G five yards first five yeah they definitely came across trying to put themselves in the position for a big upset sixth penalty for 52 yards very costly yes caros has Manny to his right that's offense he cross that line Wow Let's

059see what they got here on this [Applause] [Music] one yeah they get together on [Music] that yeah it's going to be against the offense as well so the five they picked up they gave it a right back BL is moving cins back steps up into the pocket stays behind the line of scrimmage now he's committed to run breaks the tackle gets it out to the right flat still on his feet first down outstanding individual effort great great effort by him absolutely great effort picked up the first down stayed on his feet did very well to get to get the corner on that one Paul looks like they're going to mark it at the 24 yd line first and Ted for ett from the 24 yd line well he did a good job freezing the defense

060there Bob he kept the pass option as long as he could staying behind the line of scrimmage then he finally tucked and when he did he broke a tackle got outside 12 yds first down and 10 at the 24 now he's going to throw to the left Ortiz who else he is going to have a gain of about five okay very good catch and a great Tackle by secondary of Ben came up really well but by very nice uh tackle second and five second and five at the 19 oh Rodriguez runs right uh left right back to who is that Ortiz again no matter where he goes that's Mr Ortiz and it looks like he's close to the 15 yard line depending on where the mark it looks like going to mark it at the

06114 Paul that would be enough yeah should be a first down from the 14 's moving the ball well in the offensive end uh 9 minutes and 10 seconds in running first and 10 for ever ever this Seas this season the has completed 16 passes 11 to Ortiz straight dive there certainly Mr Ortiz is the uh the receiver that he's looking for we know that nice run up the middle looks like they're going to give him May four maybe five yards on that carry second down and five forever inside the 10 yd [Music] line so ever is just inside the 10 caros hands off to Manny wide open zone for a tied touchdown straight up the gut oh maybe not maybe not hold all tickets stewards requested an inqu yeah unfortunately it's a Hing penalty

062wow boy that was a nice run that was a really powerful run by Manny but to no avail it's going to be brought back to the 20 and bring up second and 16 yeah that's a tough penalty for the offense but they're moving the ball very well so let's hope they can uh keep it going getting right back up to the line of scrimmage they're not wasting any time this is a very AGS taken away by penalty tonight than there have been on the scoreboard good point caros stands at the 24 he has a back to his right two receivers to the left power run to in right up the middle nothing to do it2 uel Santiago about four got about three or four on that one absolutely right right yeah big third down coming

063[Applause] up be interesting to see at this stage of the game B if they get held whether they'll uh go for it a fourth down or would they kick the field goal oh they're not in the field goal range points but Denny Santos is not walking through that door you think they a little too far field goal range no from the 15 yine seen for extra points yeah third and 12 at the 16 caros W wide [Music] [Applause] open Mr Ortiz yeah Ortiz is going to pick up an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty after on the ground but a great catch and throw nonetheless for an Ever touchdown great great play great Tour by Goos he put it where no one could catch that except Mr Ortiz but unfortunately a stupid penalty there Paul nine catches for

064104 yards and two touchdowns for yariel Ortiz tonight last week he had six catches for uh no the first half I should say last week he had three catches rather for 134 yds and two touchdowns yes two big uh two big touchdown catches we have a Medford player hurt on the play hopefully just a cramp well that's a good drive Bob for the tide 7 yard they made some adjustments for sure nine plays it took them 4 minutes and 36 seconds very nice drive they come out and open some really big holes in the offensive front Manny had some big runs will go for two that penalty will be enforced on the kick off y think we're going to see Manny here B yeah up the gut probably no he's going to break break it

065outside yeah he got in pretty easy easily in for the two-point conversion is a man Santiago 724 to go in the third quarter ever 14 Medford Z yeah he made that look easy he started to slow down on the run I'm saying but he he knew how much room he had and he walked into the end zone untouched with a two-point conversion so it's 724 left in the second half of the third quarter ett 14 and metri zero well that's pretty much exactly the type of drive you would think coach Flores wanted he he got his offense line uh with some production 14 yd run right off out of the shoot for Manny he also had a good run at the end that would have been a touchdown but was called back that was a

06610yd run but still good blocking on the play and he has his Allstar connection or to that's certainly their big play that's their bread and butter for sure so far this season they've connected very well that Mr LTI is third touchdown of the season and certainly the big plays have been coming that way so let's see what the defense can do now hopefully they can make their adjustments as well and come out and get the ball back and let's put some more points on the board memph should be looking a pretty good field position here bu yeah with the penalty absolutely it's a short kick it's going to be caught on the run and Bobble picked up at the 37 Bon is over Midfield so as we said good field position position yeah and there's

067a flag as well what's going to add 15 to it cuz they're feeling especially generous here tonight yeah he was clearly out of bounds when they brought him down but that's a huge huge penalty as well let's wait and see where they Mark the ball looks like they're around the 45 before the penalty well that means they're going to end up around the 30 I think presuming this is on Everett it looked like it was on Everett yeah yeah well they were two flags they can ever get out of this with offsetting they'd be very happy it was certainly uh after the whistle for sure it looked like would definitely be on the defensive end of the [Music] game not sure what all the uh talking is about it's pretty simple if it was a

068late hit out of bounds [Music] [Applause] see what they end up with here certainly going to be a 15 y I believe against ever the ball but they they really like the ball's either at the ever 45 or the ever 30 I don't see what option there could be I don't know what yeah what they're talking about yeah this is kind of crazy they're going to the ever [Applause] sideline I I I wouldn't even Hazard a guess as to what this is about but I think we should get some clarity soon yeah they're coming back now that's interesting personal foul ejected wow that means he will be out next week outou who was it I'm not sure who it was number 19 I think it was number 19 they ran off the field [Applause] oh

069here we go first and 10 for the Mustangs at the 33 yd line trailing 14 to nothing Marino trying to get around the corner another one right in [Music] of M the coach is looking for another penalty there I don't I I think that was a case of momentum carrying them out of bounds yeah it looked like the the carrier was running so hard he just kept himself the momentum going I don't believe there was any any penalty there's no Flags that's for sure but the ball is roughly at the 32 yd line Second and nine maybe they gave him one yard there Paul [Applause] [Music] so second and nine for met Marino back to pass going to dump it in the flat another drop pass boy Marino's stats tonight are going to be very

070deceiving he's had three or four he has put right on the hands and been dropped unfortunate drop I don't believe he's going to get that much yardage out of that play because the defender was there but he would have gotten something so it's going to bring up third and nine in the 32 yd line medfit down two scores I'm sure this is two two-play territory for him they're going to go Marino drops back pressure bounces out to the left he's going to run he is going to be brought down y maybe maybe a yard they might give him he needs about eight yards now on fourth down I think he picked up one yard there be fourth and but certainly have to go they're not putting the ball from believe that was ma San on

071the tackle so they are going to give him only a yard as you said to the 30 fourth and eight big down here big play for both both sides of the ball well mfi now being down two scores and starting with that field position this would be a big squandered opportunity if they were not able to convert absolutely this is uh this this is must must situation double pass that's the play they ran early he's going to be [Applause] open caught and down at the one yep great pass one yd line yeah so backwards pass to number 12 Travis Moody he's the one who just dropped the last pass he made up for it in then some surprisingly it was actually the defense was there Dar Darius weeks good call good execution Medford is going

072to be down at the one yd line I think well yeah they're at the one yep first and goal from the one great pass and catch by the the Mustangs there cuz the defense was pretty decent they weren't fool as much as the first time quarterback back right up the middle yep touchdown cly In The End Zone y well they came right [Applause] back good drive by 527 to go in the third quarter Medford takes advantage of the field position that was set up by the foolish unsportsman like conduct penalty on the ever touchdown by the touchdown maker yiel Ortiz they get a good kick return another ill advised penalty by Everett they start at to 32 and four five plays later they're in the end zone and right back in this ball game this

073was a big uh big fourth down play there Paul that was fourth and eigh that big play that was a really big pickup Full House offense now we got a flag on the play I think he I don't I'm not sure he got in anyway we going to get face mask I believe oh that's face mask yep it's against every they'll do it over from the one yeah I don't understand why they were going for two leall to be honest well we don't know what they have for a kicking game but yeah that's true you know I mean it's not like they they need it to get to eight that's a good point they got to be maybe looking at it like if you go for two twice and make it once you're going to

074be tied coach Duran yeah now they pushed him back they did not get there good job by the ever defense y boy good defensive stand there so at 527 left in the third quarter Medford gets on the board so it's Everett 14 metfit six yeah going back to that last Drive B that was a huge fourth in the eight when they came back with that same play that that that was the big play that was the play they made in the first quarter Bob they would have been back on a penalty but the receiver was even more open the the was on that play yeah the defense was not as bad there they just they made a great pass put it right in his hands The Defenders weren't as fake out as they were the

075first time but it was a big play by [Applause] metfit so we got a ball game here with 527 left in third quarter a reminder next week came right back to get back in the ball game and also tomorrow game is at Ever Stadium at 4:15 p.m. tomorrow so Med will kick off from the [Applause] 40 low kick on the Hop at the [Applause] 13 rdle baking tackles gets over the to the 31 good return made a couple Miss and he got backed over to 31 Y Line ever will take over first and 10 decent field position it'll be first and 10 for [Music] ever on their own 30 yd line now they needs to do something on the offensive we got just over halfway through the quarter so the ti have to keep this

076moving absolutely yeah this is a very very good ball game here both teams are pretty even and this is certainly going to be a great second half that's for sure it's good to see the offense has open up for both teams and let's see what every can do here with the second possession of the second [Music] half caros play action bounces it out comes back to his left and bounces to again now he's got some room if he wants High steps keeps going over boy five yds G he ran about 35 yeah but it made a a good gain in the play for five [Music] yards had no one to throw to very good game so picked up five going to be uh well they're going to give him four I guess ball so second

077and six on the board very good [Applause] run let so see if they can keep the momentum going with the offense Manny wrapped up nothing doing El Ono too long they get a loss there going to mark it right around the 35 yd line yeah this going to continue to be right third and six third and six big play here per ever again straight up the gut he's going to have the first down got it up over to the 45 yd line good job good run there 10yd pickup by Manny yeah offensive line starting to open up some holes here Paul which is good want to be able to run he came right back with the same play that stopped for a one yard loss that time a 10yd gain and a key first down

078340 and Counting here in the third ready look like they might have modified the play at the line of scrimmage caros gets it stick with a good thing Manny yep back M he going to have another first down yeah looks like he picked up about 10 depending on where they mark it it's going to be very close but it looks like they're going to give it to him if they mark it on the 40 five that's a first down that's a first absolutely good runs back to back 10 yd runs like I said they are opening up some holes now on the offensive front made some good adjustments at halftime put a little Spar under the panties and they're out there had play first and 10 at the Medford 45 yd line Carlos Manny again

079the every other play it works and then it doesn't work hey lost a little bit there a little less than a yard going to be second and 10 maybe 11 might have lost a yard on the play [Music] yep it will be second 11 for 230 in counting in the third quarter play play switches Personnel Manny the lone back only one receiver out wide it's split to this side caros looking to throw oh incomplete good defensive play yeah unfortunately the ball was a little bit high and as as he made contact with the ball the defender made contact with him and knock the ball out they'll bring it up third and 10 it'll be third and [Applause] [Music] 11 very good defensive play there Paul cage good coverage hit right away good timing on the

080hit and it certainly made him drop the ball play [Music] action bounces out to the right complete brto nice catch oh you got there get close going to be a little shot maybe a yard looks like he picked up about 10 yards on the play it was it was third and 11 I believe he picked up 10 yeah he did yeah it's going to be fourth down and one yard ever hurrying up here which is probably a good idea mord trying to get a player off the field two players off the field good job by ever there and they got it though good play right up the gut for the first down keep the drive alive 125 in the third quarter first and 10 looks like they're going to mark it at the 33 yd

081line [Music] [Applause] do do brown doggy Brown first down and 10 Everett Medford 33 we have just over a minute to go in the third quarter it'll be under a minute when the ball is snapped caros stands at the 40 looks right now he's looking left now he's rolling right he really extends the plays and that ball is incomplete good job just to get the ball out of his hands it was a good play like you said he was looking both ways no receivers open it looked basically like he had to throw that one out of out of bounds it was a receiver close but not not close enough to catch that going to bring up second and [Applause] 10 under a minute 49 ticks left in the third quarter power power power power power

082man he again nothing doing yeah Straight Ahead he might might have picked up one maybe two at the most going to bring up third and probably about eight yards play yeah going to give him two big third down here in the 31 yd Line If I Were A bford I would pay attention to where number eight goes you you would think he is I don't think anyone else has pass the right on this play two receivers to the left they're going to run it to man and he's going got the outside and he is around the corner and Out of Bounds at the 12 but yeah the late flag but but the late flag what would a good play be without a penalty yeah flag on the play big big uh big run big offensive

083play and I believe they're going to bring it back for holding call oh boy it did look like someone was being held boy that was a big play so they're going to give Manny a run to the 28 it'll be back to the 38 it'll be third and 15 to start the fourth quarter yeah and that that ends the third quarter as well yeah that's the end of the third quarter so at the end of three is Everett 14 medfi six and it's going to bring up third down a long for ever when we come back what a big play coming up that was a great run [Applause] so it'll be third and 15 from the 38 I believe yeah deep oh a little over thrown oh my God yeah if anyone was going to

084catch that it was going to be the defense that's for sure it was a little overthrown bring up a that's right yes yeah that's the end three as the teams go their Sidelines and come back up field Everest 14 Medford six the Mustangs are hanging around you can if you want I'm tired thank youh I think seven I think it it's [Applause] seven so as we start the 12 minute fourth quarter will have a 146 lead well we never really found out who the objective player was but I I believe I believe it might have been a number 19 because I seen him run off the field but the referees they certainly didn't go over and sing Single him out but here we go starting the fourth qu nine penalties for 95 yds forever 9

085two watch the ball watch the ball watch the ball so should be an interesting fourth going for this at least ostensibly yeah caros looks to pass heavy Pursuit he's going to throw it it's going to be caught out of bounds short of the first down I think yeah he's short depends it depends where they mark [Applause] it depends where the official puts it let's go let's go let's go to 25 so he's definitely shot at a first down y so that Ortiz again I could not see the other sideline is about two miles from here either that or I'm old I can't see for the Mustang yeah it looks like he got 13 needed 15 yeah so me takes over first and 10 from the 25 with 1151 left in the fourth quarter trailing 14

086to six so it's all right in front of Medford B they need a touchdown they need a two-point conversion yep the defense needs to step up here and get the ball back put the offense back on the [Applause] field Straight Ahead Mars good game yeah there's a penalty as well there's another penalty flag right on the play boy face mask another face mask five yard Mas five yards [Applause] yeah that's penalty number 10 for Crimson Tide tonight it's a five y so ball go to the 37 yeah it's enough for the first down so it's going to be first and 10 Med 37 100 yds even in penalties only one like the football field Medford first and 10 own 37 1120 to go in the game Marino pumps now he throws it in the flat

087that's going to be an incomplete pass yeah absolutely boy it looks like if the defender watched the ball ball there Paul he could have picked that off he was try perfect timing on the play but he made a great defensive play to knock the ball Lo second and 10 for Metford they're making an incomplete pass and it's going to be second and 10 for Metford so second and 10 for the Mustangs their own 37 they need a touchdown we have a 111 left in the ball game [Applause] Marino he's going to pitch come on good Pursuit oh B this tackle look at M's go all it took was one tackle to break and he gets a big big game W looks look like they had him for a l tackle in the back field yeah

088they had him for a loss there and they just reaching with the arm just you know ran right by him and great great run and picked up the big first Downes sent from the 42 yd line 43 yd line big play right [Applause] there first and 10 at the 42 Marino is going to run he's going to try to get around the corner he does get around the corner he'll have another first down inside the 25 good for another Mustang first down and the Mustangs are going downhill all of a sudden here folks yep good run to get I think they're going to mark it right at the 25 first and 10 from the 25 38 yds total on to two plays it will be first and 10 me on ever 25 yd line Everett

089Medford first and 10 Everett 25 yd line 10 52 to go in the game regulation we should say plenty of time that's for sure [Applause] Marino same play except this time to the left good [Applause] block defense CL well Pursuit by ever that time yeah they Clos well on the ball let think they're going to give maybe a yard on the play maybe a couple nothing more than that it's going to bring up second down gain of one on be n one yd second and nine for medfit 1025 in count big defensive play there that cornerbacks come up well and close on that play very well defensive line strung it out that's what they need to do they need to close down the Ed the [Applause] edges clock is running it'll be under 10 when

090we Medford snaps this ball four receivers two on the right two on the the left one back next to the quarterback Marina he is the playmaker he waits for the snap he gets it he looks to throw now he's going to run he tucks it he's got five he got about seven Ball by number 10 Marino three actually he got about five yeah he picked up about five yards on it he kind of went down about it'll be third and three we have an Everett injured player on the field number seven diazin yeah Kevin Diaz looks like he might be cramping up there I don't think it's anything serious but big down coming up here for the defense third and four need to put a stop to this drive was a good tackle look like

091he was going to get more yardage in that play but he he he come in and brought him down pretty quick stopped them right at the [Music] [Applause] line yep he's up he's okay that's the most important thing going to have to go out for a play [Applause] thr [Applause] up okay here we go third and four from the 19 rord looks two plays to make four yards and keep this drive going this drive started at their own 20 the big plays a run by Mars for 21 and a run by Marino for [Applause] 17 yeah the one the first one was a big one they had him in the back field and he broke it got the big yacht it's on that play so big third and four here same setup Marino this time

092he's going to fake the hand off he's going to throw it to an open receiver in the flat this is going to be a first down for Prince Xavier y looks like he's going to be mocked at around the 6 yd line going to be first and goal for medfit pass complete to number one Xavier good for must first down another injury for every on this play ball will be spotted at the six we will give him 13 it'll be first and goal Medford at the first go from get your twoo play [Applause] timeout is called by Everett they want to talk about this play probably not a terrible timeout if the coaches didn't didn't like something they saw when they had an injury one of the players walked off the field I believe it

093was Tyler freny number 27 he was certain to sideline he came off the field I don't think they were ready certainly big big Series right here now first and goal from the 6yd line still plenty of time left in the ball game Oodles of time Bob oodles yes plenty of time B [Applause] boy I'll tell you the weather's just about perfect right now with a beautiful Breeze yeah that feels coming through the Press Box here at HL Stadium it'll be first and goal for Metford certainly need it this time out that's for sure they need to regroup on defense and here we go first and goal for the Mustangs going to the left going to the left he dos for the Pyon did he get there no B car by number 10 a little shot

094very close he reached out with the ball but the officious said he was out of bounds one yd line boy Marina did all he could Bob he Dove extended the ball got to the one he had very good effort and the only thing that stopped him was he ran out of bounds so second and goal from the one yd [Applause] [Music] line certainly need to rise for the they go back to the sneak bu yeah I would say they probably just go straight up the gut one yard they were successful last night fact that he's under Center indicates they might they do he gets [Applause] in straight up the middle y medfit sideline is pretty pumped up and can you blame them they are a twoo conversion away from being tied with a team that

095has beaten them 31 consecutive Times by almost 29 Points on average yep big uh big offense of series here by Mei coming back matching the ball down the field you got to think B the play the ball is going to be in Marino's hands but ab and figuratively he is the playmaker yeah I wouldn't you know they got the Full House in the back field responsible for the last six plays of that drive five rushes and one pass there's a whistle looks like there's a penalty penalty that's on Medfield that's a big penalty that is a huge penalty on a conversion play wow it's going to make it a little bit harder certainly give him a little more area a little more if it's a passing play takes the run out of play yeah you

096know unless it's a run pass option he Cas he's had pretty good success with the option getting to the outside I'm sure that's going to be the play you're going to see here he's going to be rolling out for sure they'll give him the option to pass or [Applause] run hopefully the defense can come up and turn the play inside so now it's a different alignment isn't it now it's back to the four receivers two wide to in the slot one back next to Marina open the field Marino gets the snap low snap goes down and gets it he looks like he wants to run for no now he pulls up and it's going to be caught Theo conversion is good 833 left in the fourth quarter various weeks I believe yes the funny thing

097there is there was two receiver is wide open could have either one of them could have caught it there was no Defenders there at all not one white shirt near the ball well B Marino did a very good job of making it appear as if he were going to run and Everett absolutely bit on it came up and as you said he had multiple choice receivers to throw to him absolutely yeah so so 833 to go in the game Everett 14 met Medford 14 plenty of time great drive by Medford marching the ball down the field with pretty much pretty much ease Supa they would never really threatened had a I think two three third down plays on on that drive but was certainly successful the one big play was on the defense missed the

098the tackle on the back field and he ended up picking up the about 18 19 yards in that play that certainly kept the drive alive but no we got a ball game 75 ydd 320 here we go Everett balls in their court is it yes Let It Go he did not touch it no touch yeah so they'll get good field position here and then the the offense needs to respond now that's all see what they can do with the ball 8:3 three left in the fourth quarter it's a good test for the uh Everett early in the season let's see what they made of to come back in a game that's been back and forth ever will get good field position plus they're going to make it kick it again GRE kick so they kick

099him back the five yards and and re kick [Applause] yeah I think ever wants a shot of the special team's play here apparently cuz they they would have ended up with pretty good field position there on the penalty yeah they need something to certainly uh spark him that's for sure I'm sure that's what coach Flor is expecting as well let's see where they end up with the uh the ball here after they accepting that penalty good kick it is going to be coralled at the [Applause] 13 Going To the Left breaks a tackle on still going still on his feet fallen inside the 50 good return very good return up the sideline looks like it's going to be the 46 46 yd line [Music] excellent return that's just what the tide needed 41 yds oh

100great field position let's see what they can do with it here hopefully the offense continues to open up some big holes up the line of scrimmage and get a drive here with 820 left in the fourth water [Applause] nice run good run to the left absolutely looks like Manny yeah was Manny looks like there's a medfit player down on the sidelines big run I think Manny picked up seven yards on that play Paul yes yeah so it was s yards second down and three big run by [Applause] Manny yep yeah yeah once again we want to thank our sponsors for today's game I don't believe last of us had a catch tonight at all Paul has he who's that Lassa I don't believe he's had any catches this evening I've not seen him yeah I

101don't think so he's always been a goodh handed wide receiver for the Crimson Tide so ever with second and a long two at the Medford 38 yd line we have 8 minutes minutes and 2 seconds left and this game is tied 14 a piece well with offensive motion against ett going to push him back five yards ball start against ever 11 penalties 105 yds push him back and to make it second and eight maybe seven and a half second and seven second and two the second and seven is a big difference when you're looking at the play [Music] sheet y right right behind you right sure right caros back to pass bounces out of the pocket throws off his wrong foot he has wide open receiver is going to be an touchdown yeah no way

102way well into the end zone he was in the end zone ammani NE gron I believe yes that's exactly right number 11 ammani he was well into the end zone before he fumbled that ball [Applause] yeah nice play nice pass excellent job by K he got a lot on that ball B throwing off his run foot rolling right rolling to his left very good effort great pass wide open receiver was nobody near him and okay Luca these have to be made yeah he a big seven kick is got to get some height on him but no good 749 left in the fourth quarter Edon tied 20 M Mustang 14 boy looka looks like he's just taking one step [Applause] so big touchdown big answer by ever came right back and scored brought the lead right

103back here in the fourth quarter with 749 left in the fourth quarter ett 20 Medford 14 and now let up to the defense to see what they can do here and let's give credit du Bob this is the best looking Medford team we've seen in a while hats off the coach curle and his staff we've seen we saw the quarterback as a a younger player he has developed but this team is greatly improved from 3 four 5 years ago absolutely no doubt about it they moved the ball well all night up and down the field penalties heard him but theyve regrouped get back in the game and tied the ball game Ball's at the 12 coming to the left cutting to the middle is going to be brought down oh just around inside the third

104yeah make a drive out of it okay decent field position for Medford see where they mark it probably around the 29 28 yd line last time they took over at the 25 they were better off this time yeah defense has to step up here certainly uh need to start making some tackles that's for [Applause] [Music] [Applause] sure lot of time for meit 7:38 absolutely they need a touchdown and only an extra point right just need to make some tackles really he is going to pick up about eight yeah too much too much they're reaching they're arm tackling they need to come up and wrap ball Carri by number [Applause] six give him seven yeah think to mark it it right at the 35 yd line Second and seven 35 7 minutes to go tons of

105time for meford think if coach Curley had his way Bob this drive would end with a touchdown with the clock going z00 Z want to take as much time off the clock as they can in this drive 335 for sure Marino there's the designed Run's out there blocking for him Marino is going to dive toward the first down marker I think he is going to get there [Music] looks like every play it down on the sidelines he's out of bounds but he's on the sidelines and he's down he is not going to get there yeah it looked like he was a little shot he is going to be a yard shot yeah six I mean 20 realistically this this Medford team goes as Marino goes as we know think they're down here they need some

106penetration they need to put a little pressure on them Memphis only throw it twice this half this quarter pardon me Marino same thing to the outside he is going to be wrapped up good job by the ever defense big big play turned it in that's what they need to do turn the plays in I don't believe you get back to the line of scrimmage Yep this is a big play here I'm sure they'll be punting the ball still plenty of time left oh I wouldn't be so sure about that well five five and a half minutes left they don't make it then EV on the 35 yd line they're in they're in punt situation you're are right Marino I would think with this much time keep an eye on him though yeah exactly that's correct

107and the other thing is they need to stay on side this is only fourth and four they go offside here they get a a first St wow uh-oh wow wow that was a tough oh my God oh my God oh that's aive wow try to pick it yeah you it's a lot to process but the play there is to knock it out of the end zone and take the safety but that's a lot to think about right off the bat he actually did KCK the did kick it yeah he he kicked it in the defender caught it in the air oh I mean kicked it right into his hands I believe wow that's uh that's really a big big mistake by the uh Center I don't know what the coach can be talking about whoever

108picks up at the 12 no one to blame you I don't know why he's yelling at the officials yeah they need to uh so there's a used smart this needs to be a good possession here I'm going to go back the punt decision you're a huge Underdog you're at home there 5 minutes to go in the game you got three yards to make for a first down I'm going for that time out every yeah they need they need a good uh good possession here that's for sure 450 left in the court first and 10 from the 12 yd line it's clear that they doesn't look like they have a field goal kicker so would you say that based on the extra points not being I would say but you know last week he was two

109for two if you look at it he was two for two Last Week Tonight he I don't know what he's his kicks are very very low both kicks that he missed but 450 you want to take some time off the clock and put some points on the board here first and 10 eff they are 12 yds away from putting this one away nothing has come easy tonight mainly due to how well Medford has played yeah both teams have played very you know very equally certainly I think you you catch yourself there you almost said every played is played very no I did if you noticed yeah yes I they've done enough to be ahead with 450 to go first and 10 at the 12 Carlos in the shotgun Manny is going to be not Round

110Up heing it be in the end Z what a great fake what a great run number 14 14 Rodriguez the ever touchdown yeah now he go for two here Paul kick uh I would say you go for two until further notice yeah especially after the last two extra points and the two puts him up 14 very good and you know no one to the outside there for me that once he held the ball it was clear sailent to the end zone very quick score for ever 9 seconds one possession 9 seconds huge uh touchdown and they are going for two here caros rolling steps up now he's going to the left looking for a receiver still looking running still running knocked out of bounds and he's in he goes in the end zone wow what

111a tremendous individual effort yeah the twoo conversion is good big two points 441 left in the quarter TI 28 M Mustang 14 great great effort by dos both touchdown in extra point excellent so at 441 left in the fourth quar ER at 28 met 14 that was pretty quick score Paul One [Applause] play took 9 seconds off the clock so now it looks like uh this quarterb was averaging just under seven yards of play going into that ill- faded punt it needed three yards for a first down to keep the drive alive down by only six yes yeah I mean now certainly now after what happened I think I was first guessing yeah I think I was tell you what though they have really really showed up here tonight this team's going to win some

112football games they played very very well squib kick taken at the 22 boy everyone's I'm tackling [Applause] [Music] see where they mark it somewhere around the 28 29 just inside the 30 maybe yeah so Medford has 431 in which to score twice yeah so first and 10 from the [Music] 29 431 left I'm sure they'll be putting the ball up although he has been picking up some big yage on the ground some big plays and he's getting to the sideline so he can certainly run out of bounds there and kill some clock but they should be throwing the ball down two scores he is rolling he is tucking the ball and he is going to be swamped under good job by the ever defense yeah loss of about four yards on that play looks like

113they're going to mark it it to 25 no 26 so loss of three second and [Applause] 13 on the be second and 12 it's nothing fancy there by Medford on that play and medford's hling but they they're down too surpris have all day here yeah they need to get up to the line of scrimmage [Music] [Applause] farino rolls right breaks a tackle doesn't break the second tackle no that was same same guy he got him in and he brought him down that time he was in the back field last it's going backwards on this are certainly not what they were looking [Applause] for yeah L thirdd and 25 un fortunately Bob this game effectively ended with that bad snap on the pun yeah absolutely with ever recovering at the [Applause] 12 and they really taking

114their time in here third and 24 from the 15 243 [Applause] it be 3025 for bford Marino there's that double pass again no now it's just a regular pass I I don't know that the first guy was behind the line of scrimmage B yeah oh he actually could have been no what they needed a lot more than that so it's going to be fourth down now now I would say you probably won't be punting the ball but see what happens here fourth and 14 so they picked up 11 yards on that play well no they can't be punting they're down 14 no right that's what I'm saying they're not they're not punting that's what I said yeah they can't punt here and 13 be and 14 for and if everon hold on this play Bob

115this will do it yeah wow BR a low snap go down in gets it he's they got by the shirt he's trying to break away he is going to be taken down by Justus Marino tonight folks yeah he played very well he did he had a very very good game so the tide Bob are going to dodge a bullet here tonight well they will improve one one and I would suspect they would require a better performance next week when the sarian Hawks come yeah they come into town that's that's going to be a that's going to be a test they need to certainly uh be well prepared for that game no need for ever to really do anything here rather than just run straight Dives and get the clock open right yard line Callos in

116the shotgun Callos [Applause] now well there's Mr lass who I was talking about earlier got his first catch clock running now they I believe they could take three knees now and that could could take care of the ball [Applause] game there's really no need to do anything other than that yeah that's but I I I'm going to I know that's not [Applause] happening there's Manny Straight Ahead Manny runs it to the end zone touchdown man he's run out all night he deserved a touchdown yeah he certainly has he's run hot back earlier in the game the first half he was stopped two or three times in the back field as he was getting the handoffs and well the second half's been a CL simply go online and see this score this is going to be

117the most deceiving final score you see all year cuz in no Universe has this been a three touchdown game abs yeah but to the TI's credit Bob they were meant for tied it up and ever is answered with three straight touchdowns right but certainly uh much much much closer game than the score shows well they're going to I believe they're going to try kicking well I'm not sure if he's out there LCA [Applause] yeah looks like they're so ever will improve to one and one looks like we need a we got a new kicker here Paul it looks like number 13 LCA BRD br yeah he going to kick the ball could be Community auditions for those of you old enough to remember that well another one and I'll go back to my keep going

118for [Music] two 14 134 left in the fourth quarter every 34 met 14 also of concern Bob is the penalties 11 penalties for 105 Ys that yeah that's has to be cleaned up and one was an ejection yeah which is a a no play next week I'm fairly certain I mean that is this is a young enthusiastic hardworking coaching staff they simply have to get that stuff cleaned up yeah period can't afford to lose players especially you know someone that's a an impact player that plays on either side of the ball most of the game can't be s out games that's for sure we're not really sure who the player was but it was hard to see in the sidelines what really happened because he they went out of bounds was certainly a late hit

119but to to be ejected I don't know what else happened had to be something else ejection but we couldn't see it because of the players in the side off is going to be fielded at the 13 coming to the left around the corner down the sideline go keep going he is still going Xavier Prince oh miss the last to tackle him from behind came from the actually the other side of the field to chase him down but a huge return by metri number one Xavier Prince with a really really good individual effort on that kick return got to the ever 26 62 yds hopefully he's just winded here he's he's still down on the field hopefully it's just watch yeah he got the sideline once he got it he then he cut it back to

120the middle which was wide open as well made a nice run out of [Applause] it did we know any of the officials tonight Paul I have not uh I looking at not off the top my head no yeah that's where that's where Ron comes in handy for us Ronnie knows all the officials pretty well [Applause] that is Prince correct yes yes it is yep bio of 118 to try to get this to a two touchdown game game boy that was a heck of an effort by Prince on that return blocking was set up for him to come to the left Bobby got around the corner down the sideline and then when he needed to cut it back to the middle he did and he gets all the way down to the ever 26 great excellent

121run yes davier Prince on the kick return once again a final reminder the Mustang will travel to LY on Friday at 5:00 trip left coming out of Marino looking to pass he's looking deep that's going to be incomplete excellent coverage yeah good coverage by uh great defense second and 10 110 left in the fourth quarter [Applause] [Music] [Applause] bino gets the snap Under Pressure steps up in the pocket now he's got room good fake gets caught from behind fumo and that is going to do fum on the play [Applause] good play by Kevin Diaz on the hit and fumble covered the fumble and that yes uh it's I believe it's ever Paul yeah that that should just about do it Paul one minute exactly to go another good run by Marino very good had a

122great see the player coming got caught from behind yes and the ball was Jarred loose but boy he is really playing well tonight great effort great game all all all evening very good athlete [Applause] oh it was an Ever player Diaz yeah the yeah when he made the uh tackle he went down and looked like he was holding his knee so ever will take over at the 18 and hopefully kneel on it and be done with that should do it absolutely from freshman [Applause] now ever takes over yeah one more snap so Everett held on to a precarious 6 nothing lead at the half they extended it on the first series of the second half a pass from Carlos Rodriguez to um yariel Ortiz 16 yards Manny Santiago Rush made a 14- Nothing But Here

123Come the Mustangs Justin Marino a Oney run after a uh double pass play that got them down to the one yd line field it was 146 Medford tighted on a Marino one yd run again and Everett three unanswered touchdowns to win 34- 14 and boy Bob they had a work for this one yes this the score is very deceiving for sure 3414 doesn't sum up the the the game very very good game tonight very close game so zarian comes in on Friday night next week ever gets an extra day off to prepare zarian Hawks will come in to Everett Memorial Stadium uh next Friday night 700 p.m. until next time thanks to our crew for their usually great job my partner Bob Mullins I'm Paul howerin the final score ever 34 Medford 14 good night
