001[Music] your [Music] C [Applause] he [Applause] no no no not not yet no not right now never [Applause] good evening everyone and welcome to Everett High School for this Greater Boston League showdown between the Lin classical Rams and the Everett Crimson Tide I'm Josh Del Gazo joined alongside Jonathan bird Marchant and what a special one we have in store for this one the LM classical Rams come into this game at 11 and three and they are scorching heart riding an eight game winning streak while the Crimson TI pretty hot on their own accord Coach Jerry Boyce hasn't playing really good ball after a slow two and six start to the season they have regrouped winning five of their last six getting them to the 500 Mark at 7 and seven they look to cap off
002round two of the Linn Redemption tour earlier in the season they lost to fellow Lyn school English by a score earlier in the year but then they rebounded with a big win on the road they look to do the same thing against this Ram Squad who is enjoying a very good season they beat the Crimson Tide back on January 2nd by a nine-point margin and they'll look to bring Redemption once again bird what needs to happen for the tide to be victorious against a very good Ram squad tonight discipline I'm just going to say it all night discipline they need to box out this is this is a big team they need to box out these big guys out here I theyve been shooting around and I think the average Height's like 6'3 and yeah
003they got to play disciplined basketball they got a rebound they got to box out they got to run the offense to a T mental mistakes got to be a minimum I mean the last game we announced I don't think they have one turnover in the first half which was great so hopefully that can continue on to tonight and hopefully we get over the hump and get over 500 and move things forward for this Crimson Tide um team right here the Rams are led by their head coach Marin Avery who has done a fantastic job since taking over the role a few years ago longtime coach in the city of Blinn and we are just getting ready to see a big one tonight but we mentioned what coach Boyce has done the tide is rolling right
004now their only loss recently came on the weekend of the montin Luther King holiday they lost to an undefeated St Mary's team also hailing from the city of Lynn and that was a nine-point loss so no shame there losing to a team that is ranked in the top five while the classical Rams we mentioned they only have three losses and bird you don't have to go out of the city limits of Lynn to find those three losses that's amazing they lost a Lyn English 70 to 49 ly Tech 62 to 55 and Kip 75 to 70 and I think we're going to have the um announcements for the St and fives on both teams right now and we'll be right back few moment we're we're going to send it down to Chris Miller that's his
005name our superb public address announcer who will bring forth tonight's opening remarks good evening ladies and gentlemen welcome to ever high school for tonight G match up between the RS of Linn classical and your ever Crimson to after starting l let's begin first with the visiting Rams a junior guard number two Cameron Rucker a junior guard number five DJ [Applause] Reynolds a junior guard number 12 [Applause] Des a junior foror number 30 Mar ER and for is number 35ah B [Applause] and now for your R trip starting the guard of sore number [Music] [Applause] J our Junior forward number five [Music] chrr your Senor for number two andri [Applause] the Senor Center number 22 and your senior Captain guard number one [Applause] J at this time we have R for the playing of tonight's there
006[Music] h [Music] all right all right as always our very own Chris Miller knows how to get this place rocking with yet another outstanding lineup introduction so yeah bird you talked about it real quickly before we sent it down to Chris the three losses that Lyn classical had and I wanted to add to that so while their first loss came in blowout fashion to L English 70 to 49 they did return the favor to their fellow City rival and they beat Ln English by three just a little over a week ago and they are also coming off their most recent win they had a putback at the buzzer to beat Medford 6160 right so this team is redot we talked about the eight game winning streak coming in and they have shown their medal winning
007some close games along the way so something's got to give with two hot teams meeting here at the big house in the big hill lind's coming out right now we'll have tip H off shortly starting lineup for the Rams we got number two Cameron Rucker number five DJ Reynolds number 12 desan Rucker number 30 Roki Berea Aras and number 35 Shaheem bab and the starting five for the tide number one Javon berberina number two henrique Pinto number five Christian Vasquez number 15 Jaden elendor and number 22 Gio Luna Morales we are underway Rams control the opening [Music] tip and showing that size right away on its first possession offensive rebound and putb goes to shahim Bab oh and stay in the yeah stay in ever's ball bab with the block for ly just had the
008putback as well on the other end got to get it in they do over to alsandor Pinto thinks about the corner three finds the co- Captain berberina setting up the [Applause] O Pento is going to try it from the free throw line I think that was blocked by bab his second one in his many trips yeah you got a piece of that from where we're sitting yeah ever looks like they're in the [Applause] zone good d by the tide nice block Vasquez comes up with the rebound nice job by Luna Morales yeah he's a factor oh ooh nice take by berberina almost got it to go but it was the left side of the r not the right keep that story going working Theory here B and I you started it I just went along
009with it I agree if you're just joining us we have a conspiracy theory on the rim on that side of the court and while we've talked ad nauseum about it it does factor in against both teams it it there appears to be well something this okay berberina doesn't play any Rim in that one as he tickles the twil on 23 no Crush break up sh o one for two Rams up by one embrace the full C pressure drives Baseline ooh that's shaheim bab with four quick points get a force under there nice take by Pinto but unable to go bab with the rebound Rams quickly up the [Music] court nice block Luna Morales with the big block out front is the young sophomore alsandor Morales stays with it oh can't get that a fall nice
010early activity by the big fella Gio Luna Morales and he'll need to have that all game you talked about it Rams have pretty good size and they've already shown it in the early opening two minutes of this game yeah these every kids going to get a body on them and the ball goes up in the air nice strip right there Bina with the steel out front to Alor he's going to throw it off the window does it get it to go so already a couple Miss layups for the tide albe it in traffic but I got to get those to go against a really good Ram [Applause] T better get the uh flow going soon or it's going to be a long night tide will benefit on the errant pass out of bounds and we're
011going to see our first substitutions of the evening tide wasting no time going into their bench something that coach Boyce has done often throughout the season Tyson chune checks into the game along with Richardson Lamar yep boy just giving Pinto a word or two over there on the bench nice look nice job by Gio with the first made field goal for the [Applause] tide that's a good look down low box out box out no one's boxing out but they got the rebound Luna Morales comes up with the rebound awkwardly leaves it for Vasquez thankfully stays with the tide nice job by Vasquez handling that take it [Music] [Applause] tide working it around the perimeter down to 10 on the shot clock shun looking for Lamar pass a little high Rams come up with [Applause] it
012double [Applause] team wow love the from Luna Morales early and often in this one cheun out front keeps it in play quickly gets it to Vasquez Gio thinks about the three puts it on the deck beautiful drop off to Lamar nice job Luna Morales Crimson TI's got to drive and dish it or just take it to the hole it's been effective so far here early in the first quarter let's see if they can continue to do it cuz they missed a few feet throws earlier get the flow going hello right now faces and traving violation Crimson Tide basketball and another substitution now checking in for the tide is number 13 Jam Nelson replacing Christian Vasquez tied up by one we're under four minutes left in this first quarter berberina facing some tight d by Deshawn
013Ruck finds nilson just checks into the game but better defense right there by by DJ Reynolds Reynolds deep and Reynolds knocks down the top of the key [Applause] three and Gio gets the members bounce on the three ever answer right back with the tree 87 to score what a start from Luna Morales o anticipates the pass Corner three nothing but [Applause] here and hard work right there by Roki Berea Aras coming up with the offensive board and earning himself a trip to the line on that play right there nobody boxed out and that's going to drive me nuts if they just pushed his body out could have been ended it differently you could see coach Boyce yeah oh yeah I see him going back and forth ex saying the same thing to his team [Music]
014[Applause] love his white track suit yeah it's a good look Berea Arias goes two for two Rams Back on Top by one multiple lead changes to start this one [Music] oh nice look beautiful wow better defense how about the recovery by Berea Aras that was a beautiful dish on the cut to Pinto but Berea Aras had other plans oh there we go uh bug City hey two is two we'll take it excellent job by Jamal Nelson coming up with the steel in the wide open layup tied back up by one great action here in this first quarter yes it is o nice Flo Lefty floater is good by Deshawn [Applause] Rucker Gio thinks about it well defended by bab gets it over to Chun Gio's going to try it again Oho Gio is two for
015two from down [Applause] Town tied up by two he has eight for the night so far early in the [Applause] game with multiple defensive plays as well nice d a nice D by Pinto but once again bab is there for the putb bab has six points and they are all by way of the offensive board I think he has about five offensive rebounds so farly in the C blocks as well he's been very active I think have three or four on that one knocked out of bounds it'll stay with the tide if you were looking for fast-pace Action you got it bird oh yeah I'm I'm happy cuz past few games have been a little little you know turt is not here nope not tonight thank goodness o nice look Jamal Nelson thinks about the
016corner three doesn't go but we're going to stay here down with the Crimson Tide follow on the rebound by number 12 Deshawn Rucker good look by Nelson over in the corner good find we'll take that Rams now making a substitution checking into the game is number four Devon tager and he is replacing deshun Rucker Pinto gets it at the top of the key looking for Luna Morales down low you did the right thing though yeah good de by Reynolds forced them back out tied reset minute AG go here in the first quarter nice push it's a good take yeah unfortunately lost it on the way up good hands right there ooh I I thought he actually had poked it back off a Rucker but nice Deep by Nelson yeah with a good angle on that
017one Nelson's done a really good job as soon as he's checked into this game making his presence felt defensively he's got the layup at the other end should [Applause] DED oh nice move box out oh that's that oh no ah I I yeah I think that was off of a classical sneaker but I won't say anything I don't I want to get tucked tough tough look at once again though bab being very active keeping the initial rebound alive yeah every just like I doing a good trouble but they hang around under the net and they now finding a body and box them out and nice pass to The Cutting Berea Arias and he has four points Rams up by two as we enter the final 20 seconds in the first quarter down to 10 screen
018set by Nelson chun's going to take it Baseline nice take by Chun but bab says not here not now Reynolds just inside [Music] and that looking for a foul on that one the contact there at the end of the quarter what an outstanding first quarter we just had oh my goodness that was awesome great Pace Rams up by two 1513 we have a CH is now taking the court led by their head coach Taylor Leo [Music] here's your Crimson tie cheras outstanding as always keep competing soon I don't know when but they'll be keting for the GBL title coach Leo and Coach Caitlyn do an outstanding job yes they do I'm just looking for more boxing out by this Crimson TI defense here I mean they're doing a good job getting secondary rebounds and stuff
019but they just got to put a body on somebody and box them out cuz Chen bab has just been a force in the first quarter so far and they got figure it out quick yeah talk about close game but we tweak a little few things here in the second quar let's see if they could get it [Music] done so tied down by two to begin the second quarter with the basketball that man right there Luna Morales ties MVP in the first quarter did it all good d by the Rams and we are going to have I believe that is a 3se second violation actually no I think it was an offensive foul yeah someone got a little handsy either way it's classical [Applause] basketball splits the D right there wow really good take by DJ
020Reynolds splitting the defense as you said then found a clear path to the basket Rams up by four if Ln tries to do that again I I would expect one of these guys to take offensive foul take a [Applause] charge woo oh too many steps yeah too many steps that's the worst you commit a foul and you drain the jumper a [Music] three no pressure here it comes oh he's got a cutter and that cutter actually got the putb Berea Aras these guys it to the basket these guys got to use their eyes and just look around see if someone's cutting in and just put a body in front of [Applause] them basal now starting to get some separation up by six really good start to the second quarter that defense starting to bog ever
021down a bit comes up with another steel that was Devonte tager with the steel out front to Berea Aras good recovery by Morales oh boy but DJ Reynolds starting to feel it much needed timeout right there Reynolds has eight points with his second three-pointer going down from the quarter in the Rams now with their biggest lead of the evening up by 9 timeout taken by coach Boyce they'll look to hit the reset button here [Music] [Applause] me [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] 2213 your score with 622 go here in the second quarter we'll see what the tide has for an answer after this timeout now into the game for the tide point guard number four Adam at Mud mus he moves the basketball very well oh man that's a tough way to start
022your first possession after the to moving screen is the call ah [Music] okay Coach Boyce screaming play the ball [Music] boys there we go oh Shez did just that stays with the [Applause] Rams and a traveling violation is the call and getting up slowly on that Collision was Christian Vasquez we hope he's okay definitely need the Sharpshooter out there he does appear okay tide need answer right now this is a critical juncture of this game early on on the ropes a little [Applause] bit good look by at Mud over to Pinto that gets deflected back to Adam [Applause] there you go good take by Gio but doesn't get it to [Applause] go nice job by VZ who that's the second one they were just unable to come up with they did everything right and a
023timeout by coach Avery in the Rams so one thing you're seeing now you're starting to see the classical defense is really continuing to pick up right now and you're seeing that in the tides offense bogging down a bit you're they're they're having a hard time getting the offense going into the shot clock it's taking about the 15 14 second Mark for them to really get anything moving and that's tough you know unless if you're really effective with your passing you don't want to be on that side of the shot clock so right now you're going to need quicker crisp passing to try to break that hard effective Cuts TI if you have to score to start the Corner yes and it's been a minute and a half wait yeah 2 and A2 [Applause] minutes I've
024noticed that Lynn watches the CRI TI's hands when they pass the ball if they do like a little if ever does a little like a hand fake they could throw them off and maybe they can drive to the hole and just slam it or get a layup and draw a flower flower draw a flower draw a fowl excuse me I digress here we go Rams basketball after the timeout and that is a carrying violation nice you don't you don't hear ref's calling that much l I'm happy he did he does a little lot too I'm not going to say his name out loud see how his hand is like nice take Gio here we go Gio is the guy for the ti right now points correct nice that was his 10th point right there two
025threes and two two layups deep three let it go let it go let it go nice job by bz really good work love it don't leave your feet there you go that's a nice take right there there you go Gio himself right now let the man cook yeah tied down by [Applause] five not a deep three kissing off the glass for Luna that's going to stay with the tide good Deep by Reynolds getting a fingertip on it tide will have basket possession L is very good on Fast Break defense the past few times I've seen the blocking in the first quarter salt squad over there transition D yes it is oh nice look oh bird chock another one off to the the at musu continues his Exquisite passing the Ki can really dish yes he
026[Applause] can I like the tide zone d right now daring the Rams to shoot from the outside really throttling down the paint box out nice poured by Luna Morales po imporing them to push the pace yeah oh what oh was reaching yeah looks that way all right all right no I was okay I'll take it sure I I didn't I didn't see a whole lot but uh seem to be much argument I'm not going to not going to second guess we'll take it Alon door working out of the corner picks up his dribble there we go oh man that's beautiful oh in and out good look though that was a great yeah good look just wouldn't fall for him see that's good movement you're you're quick you're decisive with your moves yep [Applause] yeah the
027other way nice jot by Pinto he made a steady habit of doing that last year too I remember oh yeah big rooll of his was coming off the bench and just eating those offensive charges nice job by henrique now the senior tied down by five looking to cut this to a single [Applause] possession the running four whatever that is oh nice look Alor Corner three no good with the board finds a cutting at muser floting good nice Windex off the glass nice poop by at Mud every got the luy bounce and Adam took advantage of it and laid it in tied down by three two and a half left here in the first half oh someone got a hand on that but they got it back let it go that's our ball Crimson Tide basketball
028this group is really giving them good minutes great energy inspiring them on both ends of the floor right now yep momentum swung in their [Applause] way you see how Adam Pilots the offense the ball is in and out of his hands real quick yep that gets everyone bask downtown wanted it Bird good Lu Christian continue to take goes that's a good look there we go out of bounds Crimson TI basketball green turnovers I love it coach Boyce excited and why not you said it they just swung the momentum here yes they did and he was yelling at moros for whatever reason in a good way yelling with excitement coach Boyce was oh oh oh oh take that look we were yep we were thinking the same thing shoot is shoot ah ah no good bab
029with the rebound classical looking to stem the [Applause] tide great help Deep by Luna Morales a Aras with the hoop and some H basket's good off the spin move finish and he'll go to the line for a chance at a three-point [Applause] play and that is good and a few substitutions coming in for Lynn Berea Aras is a perfect three for three at the [Applause] line oh con get that's a fall jump ball yes jump ball and the arrow is going to the Rams I'll consider that turnover ultimately yeah that's that's actually how it's [Music] scored lost substitutions right now K will take a seat with one 12 to go here in the second quarter 112 a lot of conversations with the ref and few Lin players there we go all right so final minute
03010 left in this first half Rams basketball up by six a little bit of an answer after the Crimson Tide really gained momentum good defense right there he's got box Out Boys ah there you go nice job by Nelson and again Luna Morales you said it just doing it all tonight oh think about it it's two for two from downtown any space pull it Vasquez pulls it yes a oh that was a good look Nelson with the put back aggressive with that one woo a little too much force in that layup right there was it over the back yeah Over The Back Against The Tide really oh boy now what's going on more substitutions I think yeah Ram Rams going to their bench for the final 34 seconds [Applause] yeah shot clock is [Music] off
03120 on the clock solid D right there pick no roll good D there we go go go go go go all the way all the way oh nice take will take Alor beautiful steal and finish oh boy oh man all right all right that worked out to be a nice dish maybe that was the intent Shaheen bab continuing to own the offensive glass put back just beating the horn and what a first half we just had right there yes we did Rams up by six but man I mean that's that's the way to that's the way to put the track shoes on and Sprint yeah the they're doing a great job uh I just wish defensively they'd box out more offensively swinging the ball around they're looking for the open man they're taking their open
032shots muscle not falling but when they do fall it's a fantastic feeling here in the big house in the big hill on the big hill I'm glad you pointed it out big difference right now is the rebounding Advantage especially on the offensive end that the Rams have held and they had a great start to the second quarter we saw the tide take some of that momentum back but again a little bit of an answer by the Rams got a ball game here though don't go anywhere and especially don't go anywhere we do have a very special interview coming up in just a few moments with our very own music director of the ever Public Schools Gene O'Brien so we're going to get a quick interview with Jean so stick with us we'll be right back

059it's going to get to 12 and three it's a good basketball team well coached good size like it's a good team they're going to be a tough out I just want to know if they could beat a team outside of Len unbelievable no kidding and and nobody in Great Boston our Northshore area has beaten in classical yet it's all been Lyn and it just shows how good how strong the talent is oh yeah in the Sin City wow yeah I think he fixed the right side of the rim yeah he did we're back there is over we don't have to do anything thank you Roi Berea Aras with this dunk earlier oh my goodness Roi said excuse me I'm going to take some PSI out of the ball I like that one that was good
060thank you thank you wo yeah this definitely a handprint on the ball oh yeah permanent we'll put that we'll give that to the Smithsonian they take cool things like that yeah they would I think they would people like who and where said it happen a basketball game so the tide will fall to 7 and8 go back under 500 but they still have several games to go here yeah they got a big one their next game is at Malden this Thursday so they're on the road looking to finish the uh season Ser sweep of the golden tornadoes and they really need that one to get their eighth win again as you know you play 20 games the magic number is 10 you got to be 10 and 10 to at least make the tournament so they're
061going to need to try to get that win vers malen then they come back here on senior night this Saturday against a very good Brook line Squad so that one that one will be tough and then they go back on the road to finish out the string they'll be at won North and at Boston Latin Academy yeah that's the tough schedule ahead of them so they need uh they need to get three more wins at Mud HS the Baseline [Applause] jumper ooh oh [Applause] [Music] [Applause] coach ay wasn't happy with something over there y some of his [Applause] players ging a nice little chat with DJ Reynolds not the running back in the NFL was he run back or wide receiver he was for the Lions right was the Lions who am I thinking of
062I'm probably way off feel free to correct me on Instagram Facebook Twitter you know my handle if you don't look it up do you have a Wikipedia page I do you should I do actually okay thanks to touching rich I like now hotti and the sources are all confirmed yes I don't know who did it but thanks God bless you oh [Applause] [Music] oh so final minute well deserved well deserved for Roki Berea Aras him and babra studs tonight absolute studs oh no doubt I think combines over 20 plus points over 20 blocks give a take I'll say 12 no I think they combined around they're probably in the 30 point category the two of them combined I I got bab bab's got about 16 16 to 18 give or take fora ARA same thing
063he's got at least he's got 16 himself and rebounds and blocks are in double digits and as the pace really opened up I had a hard time for my pen hitting paper so I I may not be accurate as I was earlier in the game but those two have been outstanding you mentioned the blocks the rebounds just the way controlled the game the dunks fixing the rim very nice job quick timeout here with 56 seconds to go here in the fourth quarter so yeah they they'll move to 12 and three and again with the state tournament just a few weeks away they look like a dangerous team yes they'll definitely get a high bid probably like top five for like terit bid so that will remain to be seen I'm not sure exactly where their
064power rankings are obviously they're going to have one of the better records the power rankings can be kind of a a a hard thing to understand figure out sometimes so not sure exactly where they lie but whever their chip will fall they'll uh they're going to be tough it probably depends on the strength of schedule too ooh nice steal oh oh oh oh what ball that was a great move too it was at Mud really did everything right just the ball was like no I'm not going in [Applause] well you again love love the energy of the tide continue to battle with oh boy watch it back nice job by Adam really like his game I say it all the time MH it's a really good player coach Boyce and his players going all the
065way to that final buzzer yep love to see that play to the clock say zero again really nice job coach Boyce has done after after the start they had a lot of new faces yep Benji Josephs in there now they graduated some really good seniors from last year's team very tough schedule showed early on they've battled they've regrouped they went up against it against a very good Rams team here today but what's still on the table is this three more wins they will become tournament bound they can do that it's not going to be easy no it's not they chose a very difficult schedule which I like yeah you get better from it absolutely we'll see how this plays out but you got to credit coach Boyce and his guys for the way they're battling
066tonight and of course I think much credit has been given to the guys in green and yellow absolutely coach Avery and his Rams with the squad they [Applause] have oh we got Chile's jumping around oh boy oh oh was you looking for a boom I was waiting for a boom boom he had an earthquake the other day yes we did I didn't feel it I I just thought I just thought snow's coming off the roof I felt the shake I'm like oh this is snow coming off the roof cuz it was getting warmer nope nice little 41 oh my the dunks I mean the dunks the blocks just keep coming and he gets to turnover and that'll do it the cryon tide fall 66 to 46 to the Rams of ly classical right here in
067the big house in the big hill and that'll do it Josh any final remarks yeah again you know much to say about the Rams it's a really good team over there they moved to 12 and three it was a great first half it was we had moments in the third quarter where we thought would' have something but Rams just pulled away their defense really stifled the tide their size and just their overall play of the game was really too much for the tide to handle at the end talk about the tide what's still at stake they still have it in front of them got a rebound reset get ready for Thursday night at Malden try to get back to 500 as they dip one game below here falling to seven and eight but another strong
068performance and credit goes to the Rams they were outstanding but very happy to bring you the broadcast bird always a pleasure having you on board thank you thank you I'll be taking off to Florida tomorrow so I'll send you a post card and another gym shirt got to give credit our camera operator tonight Diego Rivas yes Joe camley handling our live stream great job as always and Justin Han as well be remissed if I didn't mention my guy but that is going to do it from the big house on the big hill as the link classical Rams win by 20 6646 Josh do Gazo Jonathan bird MCH and everyone have a good night [Applause] [Music] B e for
