Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Come on. Heat. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Good evening everyone and welcome to the big house on the big hill. I'm Josh Delgazo. He's Justin Han and we have a greater Boston League rivalry taking place right here at 100 Elm Street. It's the Lin English Bulldogs taking on the Everett Crimson Tide. Lin English comes into this one not having its typical juggernaut season that we know them to be, but one thing's for certain, you never take a Bulldog squad with Lin English ever lightly. This was a two-point game when they met earlier in the season. Justin, speak to Lin English a little bit about what they can do and some of the things how they can be troubled. >> Yeah, absolutely. Lynn English historically has been a phenomenal team, Josh. I
mean, they they had a great start to the season with Somerville and River that they lost to Somerville and then they took on Ravier and that that brought them to one and one. Then they went on a losing streak like we've never seen before. Uh they lost 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 games in a row, Josh. Then a little bit of a hot streak. A little bit of a hot streak against Malden and Medford. and uh you know they they were able to squeeze out the win on those games but just their last game uh unfortunately took the L to revere. So very unlike the the Bulldogs like you said you never want to take them lightly. However uh they're three and nine and the stats speak for themselves. >> Absolutely. Numbers don't
lie, Justin. And uh three and nine. Again, that's it's it's very odd to say three and nine with Lin English in the same sentence. But again, we we're not going to be fooled. When the Crimson Tide met Lin English over in Lynn back on January 6th, this was a two-point game. It was a tie game in the final moments before a Christian Vasquez baseline jumper sealed it for the Tide. A halfcourt attempt by the Bulldogs was unable to go down and the Tide escaped the gymnasium with that two-point win which then propelled the Tide on a heater themselves. They went on a six-game winning streak after that and that was just recently snapped last Thursday here uh to the hands of Chelsea who we know the season that the Chelsea Red Devils have enjoyed this
year. >> Redot Red Devils. >> They are redot. Well, right now we're going to pause for a moment. Well, we're we're not pausing the broadcast, but we're going to send it down to our public address announcer, Chris Miller, for our opening lineup >> match up between the Bulldogs of Lin English and your Ever Crimson Tide. Now, for tonight's starting lineups, beginning first with the visiting Bulldogs. Starting a guard, a sophomore number three, Isaac Yankee. A junior guard number one, Yuri Faggerero. A senior guard number zero, Renee Costa Rosario. >> Senior guard number two, Wesley Pristomo. And senior forward number four, Miguel P. And now for your effort cry. Starting at center, junior number two, Samir King. The junior guard number 14, Jan Alindor. Your senior council guard number one, Christian Vasquez. The senior captain guard
number three, Jaden Sanchez. >> And your senior captain guard number four, Adam Mass. >> At this time, we ask everyone to please rise and move your head tonight's national Guys, I don't want you Heat. All right. Well, an excellent job as always by our very own Chris Miller for getting the building on its feet and ready for this one. And we are excited. We did receive some news. So, we did hear that Adam Moose was in fact in the starting lineup. Something to keep an eye on last game against Chelsea. Adam unfortunately suffered a bit of an ankle injury and um it it it was definitely palpable uh for the rest of the Crimson Tide lineup. We know the job that Adam does piloting that Crimson Tide offense being the facilitator that he is. And
uh Justin, it definitely hurt the team. That was uh that that game the Crimson Tide and Chelsea were trading leads and as ironically as soon as Adam went out of the game uh that's kind of when the when the the the tide shifted towards Chelsea's end. >> Yeah Josh I it's really tough to see like one of the best players on the team one of the leaders on the team a Muser come out but you know what he's not an armadillo he's not going to curl up on the road he's going to he's going to branch out and you know we're going to see him in this game tonight. >> Love it. Love it. No armadillos here. So, here we go. We're ready for the tip. Crimson Tide dawning their white jerseys with their beautiful
checkerboard print in the side. I'm here for it. English and their traditional maroon road jerseys. And the Bulldogs will win the opening tip. Now Josh, unfortunately we weren't unable to go and see the uh last meetup between these two teams, but considering how close it was, I'm really looking forward to seeing how these two teams perform tonight. That's right. We did have we we had we had a broadcast of that game. Um, and I was able to take it in from the living room to watch that that gamewinner by Vasquez, but it was a back andforth game and the Bulldogs really came on strong in that fourth quarter. The Tide stave them off at the end and they were able to escape. But you would never know that the Bulldogs were kind of having the
season that they had from that night. It looked like a typical Lin English team. So that's why I will never take the bait in what their record says. I know the Bulldogs know how to play ball. Yeah, that was a great steal by King Dosta there, able to run it down, find Christian Vasquez. Unfortunately, unable to make the points. Uh, >> Costa Rosario though, uh, I he was looking for someone there and it maybe got tipped. Uh, missed what happened. >> Yeah. No, it looked like it did looked like there was a hand on it in the passing lane that kind of was able to alter the the trajectory of where that was going. So that's a miss shot there. Starting five for the Crimson Tide. You got number one Christian Vasquez. Number two Samir
King D Costa. Number three Jaden Sanchez. Number four Adam Muserude. And number 14 Jaden Alendor. And I really like this starting lineup. You know, we see it every every time we do one of these games. But particularly my my player to look out for tonight is Jaden Alendor. He's kind of like the mitochondria. is the powerhouse of this offense and really love it when he starts to heat up just takes the game away. >> You know what I love, Professor Han? I love when you take us to the lab and you start breaking down mitochondrias and that's that's exactly what you get from Allison Door. He's terrific. I love that you spotlighted him. The junior can do it all. He's a big- time scorer. He's a great defender. He does it all. You said it
best. King D Costa on the line and uh he's lethal at this line, but I don't want to say anything more. >> No, that's it. You said it. >> That's it. Same. It didn't curse him this time. >> Nothing but nylon. >> Starting five for the Bulldogs. Number zero, Reenebi Costa Rario. Number one, Yuri Figareroa. Number two, Wesley Christomo. Number three, Isaac Yankee. And number four, Miguel Ba. King D Costa does what he does best. Perfect at the line. Two for two. Tied up two nothing. >> It's interesting to see that the Tide is already playing so aggressively on defense. Unfortunately, the man just left number four, Miguel Pena open and was able to get two points out of it. >> Yeah, nice basket by Pñena. Good ball movement by the Bulldogs moving it around,
finding the open >> to Pñena. Nice take by King Dosta. That just rims out. Rebound goes to Ping. >> Oh, that's a good cut to the basket. Oh, >> what a great look by Pñena. We We got to keep an eye out for him. >> Yeah, that was acrobatic. That didn't fall, but the basket the putback did fall right there. And that was number four BA on the putback. >> And uh the player I was thinking of and I don't want you to think that I'm illiterate. I just you know uh misspoke there was number three Yankee. >> Ah Isaac Yankee. Yeah, I saw that. Another quick basket right there by Reenebi Cost Rosario. And the Bulldogs now really moving that ball. It's it's it's in and out of their hands very quick. >> Oh,
nice take by Alidor. >> And that's what I'm saying. That's who you want to find the ball if I'm the tide right now. >> Good job, Alindorf finding the opening, taking it to the rack. And that's going to be out of bounds on the baseline. That's going to be Crimson Tide basketball. Good defense tightening the angle of the baseline to the basket creating the turnover. In years past when English and Everett would get together, traditionally a very uptempo game. Both teams like to press and and that creates a lot of transition going one way or the other. So usually the track shoes are on for when these two team two teams get together. >> Yeah, I mean Josh, you're already seeing it. We're like 3 minutes in and it's been back and forth the entire
time. >> And I do want to point out Nelson squared in the game. We have Nathaniel and Emanuel. >> Got to love the Nelson's. >> Nothing tugs at our heartstrings like a couple Nelsons on the floor. >> You know what I like about the Nelson's, Josh? The Nelson's know how to shoot threes. They could be in Luxembourg. >> And still make the three. >> I love me some Luxembborg. And I love me a Nelson three. Some fine dining over in Luxembourg. Great skyline. Good ball movement on the perimeter. King Dosta sets a screen, rolls to the basket. Good look by eight Muserude. And they're going to have to follow him because King Dost went to the basket unabated. He was fouled there by number two. That is Wesley Christomo. And we'll have King Dost. We're
going to get a look at it here. Watch the screen. Then he's going to roll to the basket. Eight. Museru leaves it right over the top. And that's exactly what you want to see. You see a little pick and roll to the basket. >> Yeah. Ju just a a great effort by King Dosta as well. You know, didn't didn't hesitate. Immediately knew that the foul was going to be forced there and got the got the chance to go to the line. >> And again, who who was behind the pass? Eight Muserude. >> He I said it, you know, Mus he he's central to this to this team. He you could see it when he came out in the Chelsea game. And I really love that he is uh he's back in the game. you know,
he is nursing his ankle a little bit. So, he's not 100%, but if we know anything, he's got spirit, he's got leadership, and he's definitely going to make an impact in this game. >> No doubt about it. I'll take whatever percentage from eight moose route I can get on the floor because he always makes the right decision. Oh, corner three, no good. And I tell you what, I think had a lot to do with that miss was a terrific close out by King Dosta. May not have blocked it. Certainly altered the shot. Alsor goes furiously to the basket and that's going to get himself a trip to the line. Foul is going to go to number 15 who just checked into the game. That is Yasel Palino Aras, the young sophomore. >> Yeah. And again,
this is uh this is the Tide's third trip to the line. And although, you know, Lynn is still leading by two, I mean, you don't want to keep playing like that. Look at look at the the penalty total right now. >> Yeah. Yeah. No, and that's what you want to see. And and actually someone I'm glad you pointed that out. Uh someone at the scorers table might want to uh it's not goose egg goose egg on the uh the fouls, but that's okay. U but I I like that Crimson Tide being aggressive, getting themselves trips to the line. They've been a good free throw shooting team to this point this season. And you see it right there. This game is now tied and and there's only been one made basket on the floor. Otherwise, it's
come by four free throws for the Crimson Tide. So stay aggressive. put the pressure on the officials making them blow the whistle. >> Yeah. No, and I say it every time we do one of these games, Josh. Uh anytime you see Allison Door or King Dosta, when they go to the line, you see the rest of the team, they go to the other side of the court. They're already setting up the defense because they have faith that their team is going to make those shots. >> Both high percentage shooters. Good point, Justin. Ooh, Nathaniel Nelson. Good look at that three. And I love to see that look. I want to see that throughout the game. the quick memory on those. You you keep taking those shots. That's the look you want, Nathaniel. >> Yeah, absolutely.
And you and we are going to see it. The Nelson's have this c certain way of finding themselves open and just phenomenal athletes, Josh. >> The Nelson's always love the view. They love the view. >> And we love the view when the Nelson's come on the court. >> Absolutely. So, they're going to force they're going to force Alandor on the baseline there, stepping out of bounds. So, Alendor is going to turn it over for the Crimson Tide. Good take though. You want to You definitely want to see Jaden being aggressive. That's what you want. He's already had a couple trips to the line thus far. Or he's had a trip to the line where he's two for two. So, you want to see him being aggressive that time, unfortunately, unable to walk the tight rope.
>> Yeah, we're and we're looking at this. I mean, >> I don't want to jinx anything because, you know, caster's curse and all, but uh you know, the fouls right now, Lynn has three fouls, and if we can force two more, we're going to be taking a lot of trips to that line. Honestly, if you're if you're Lynn, you do not want that. The Tide are snipers from the line. >> No, that's absolutely it. And uh again, you know, one thing one thing that Coach Boyce is addressing the team inside that huddle right now, I'm sure one of the many things is that, hey, listen, stay aggressive, keep putting the ball on the deck, head to the basket, move it around, find the guy, cut to the basket, but let's let's continue to put the
pressure on Lin English. It looks like the size they uh the the size advantage kind of lies with the tide a little bit. Have they taken advantage of that? Um, last game with with Chelsea, Chelsea had a really good uh rim protecting presence and you saw that early on the Tide had a really hard time getting to the basket. So, take advantage of what is a little bit of a smaller Lin English team head to the basket. Like I said, if nothing else, you'll likely get some trips to the line where we know the Tide can make it happen from there. So coming out of the timeout, we are tied up at six with 315 remaining in this first quarter. Five on the floor for the tide. We have number four Adam Museru. Number 11
Saul Flores. Number two Samir King Dcasta. Number 14 Jay Nelson. Number 15 Emanuel Nelson. He stepped out of bounds right in front of us. >> Great defense by Alendor there. He was joined by one of the Nelsons. That's going to be Emanuel. Yeah, they did. They paired up very nicely cutting off both angles. Really nowhere to go for Costario. >> And you can definitely see it in uh in Alandor's stride here. I mean, he's definitely slowed down a little bit, but he's got spirit. And you know it it is it does make a huge difference having one of your leaders on the court. >> No doubt about it. And actually the uh the Crimson Tide turnover there is going to give it back to Lin English. And uh for for not much of a break
on the bench we see back in is our our guy Christian Vasquez. We know what kind of sniper he is. >> Oh yeah. And that's going to be uh Alendor coming out. >> Yeah. >> So one score leaves the floor for another score. Oh, that's a floater in the lane. No good. Rebound goes to Flores. Saul Flores now pushing the pace. >> And that was a great effort by Saul Flores. You know, he was all over that ball the entire time. Christian Vasquez looking for it. Couldn't find it. King Dosta going to find the rebound. Out to Mooseroot, who's going to set up the play again. >> Yeah. No, I liked it. And you said it Flores really made it happen. He was real quick to getting the ball up the floor off the rebound.
And that gets us tied set. And that's the view we're talking about, baby. Emanuel Nelson from the wing. Good ball movement. Emanuel never saw a shot he didn't like. Especially when he's got that view. >> I I tell you, if Lynn can't stop the Nelson's from taking the the rainbow shots, they're going to be in a pickle, Josh. >> I like it. >> Oh, wow. That was a nice finish right there. Number three, Isaac Yankee going with the scoop underneath. This game's back and forth early. >> Yeah. >> 98 Crimson Tide. Got a foul right there. There's another foul, Jay. But you got you got one more and you're in the bonus here. >> Yeah. And again, that's not really where you want to be. There's still a lot of time to play. >> And
now checking into the game, the young sophomore, Josiah Papia, number 21. We've seen some of the great plays Pappia has made and I love his energy. >> Yeah, Papappia is one of the the better players uh to coming up to the Tide. He also sits on the bench and sometimes plays for JV and you can see it. He's growing into the role. He's getting a lot of time in in the varsity squad. Well said. >> Also went to the game. I I like the play of the senior Benji Joseph number five. He's battling for the rebound right there. Benji in in in the last few games that we've seen with Benji, he makes his presence felt and he does it in kind of like that hustle manner. He's just getting a lot of a lot
of, you know, he'll get a hand on the ball. He'll come down with that rebound. Not so much the prettiest stats, but the ones that help your team win. >> Yeah. Phenomenal defensive player. I would I would >> absolutely >> three-pointer by number three Yankee is no good. Right on Q. It's Joseph with the rebound. Quickly finds Vasquez who wastes no time. >> Pappia thinks about it. Then he heads to the basket. I I like the look there from Papia. You had an open lane, but unfortunately once you got to the end of it, there was just a blockade. So you're just going to pass it back to Mus and get the play restarted there. >> Yeah, and again, credit the English defense. They really did shore up any any loose ends right there. Tide
get back defensively, but not before a foul at the rim. So, >> actually underneath. I'm sorry. I a gez. I I thought he was in the shooting motion, but I I'll I'll I'll allow my Tide to reset defensively. That's That's fair. >> But listen, uh you know, the the Tide have been playing really clean ball. They're only up by one, but they also only have one foul this entire >> and it it just occurred with 36 seconds left. They almost had the uh the perfect quarter for fouls. Uh which is next to impossible to do. So you said it, clean defense by the tide and we got some more changes in as we uh were in the last 36 seconds of this quarter. They gave eight Musut a quick break. There's a good look at
coach directing his his team defensively. Nice close out by Nelson. He definitely bothered that shot. May have got a hand on it. Now, there is no shot clock as we are in the 30 seconds. And Pappia, >> like we said, he's on the JV team, but he's really growing into his role on the varsity. And you're seeing it there, Josh. >> Oh, Pafia with the big time move. That was big. >> Good D by the Tide. It's going to stay here though with Lin English. >> I tell you what, but again, Papio made that play happen. And he was able to force the ball. Almost had the steal which would have ended the quarter. Josh. >> Oh yeah. Good look at the sophomore. He went he went a little dipsy doo. Came through the legs
and then had the open finish. Oh man, that was pretty. >> Going to have to get rid of it. Three-point is up. It's good. And that was to tie at the end of the first quarter. It's 1111. Josh, I didn't see that coming. You know, Isaac Yankee just nodded things up big time. And one thing with this game, English has done a really good job moving the basketball around. You saw their defense tighten up towards the end of the quarter. Tide playing very clean defense. We know they always bring it defensively. And you you just witnessed a very good first quarter of action. Tied up at 11. Wow. We got we got a good one in store here, folks. >> Josh, that you know what I'm thinking here. I'm thinking that the Tide is doing
a great job on both sides of the ball. However, I don't think that the man coverage is working as well as you think it is. I mean, the we've seen it a few times here where Lynn was able to find the open pocket because you you're you are man-to-man. So, if it's if it's me, maybe do if I'm Jerry Boyce, maybe do a little gerrymandering, you know, move things around and uh you know, get go into the zone. Jerry Mandering. Wow. The whole lexicon is out tonight here on EHS TV. Talk about that for your vernacular. >> Got a water break over here. One of our cheerleaders. That's a good one, too. That's a big steel one. Yeah. 32 oz. It looks like maybe bigger. >> What's that? >> 40. 40 oz. We keep it
hydrated here. Love it. >> Well, I'll tell you, Josh, the the cheerleaders do a great job, too. They got to stay hydrated. >> You got to stay hydrated. There's a lot happening in between those breaks. Those cheerleaders are always taking a center court, putting on a show. We got more waters coming this way. Another 40 oz of water. This is good stuff. We're keeping it hydrated. The salt to water tables got to be balanced. Otherwise, you get headaches. I I love my salt. Never have enough water in my system. Justin knows sometimes my frontal pockets a little I got a little head swell, a little headache going on. >> And and you know what you got to do when you drink water? You got to get early when you drink water because we love getting
early and you want to get ahead of the headache. Listen, there's a reason why there's a blue lawn chair in my trunk. Love getting early. You never know where you might get some sun. Okay, so second quarter is underway. 11 up right now is the tie game. Cost Rosario heads to the basket. That was nifty. Didn't fall. And Samir King Dosta says, "I'm going to take it the other way." That doesn't go. Sanchez knocks it loose, but it's going to be last touched by Sanchez. There's a good look at Samir King Dcasta. So, it's going to be English basketball after that frenetic pace back and forth between these two teams. Like I said, no shortage of uptempo action. >> Shout out to Francancy Deloo by the way. We know you're watching. >> Oh, I tell
you one thing, one thing that's always certain in our studio, refuse to lose. >> And if Francy's watching, you know who else is? Antoine Coleman or as he's affectionately known in the studio, Antoine Coleman. >> Well, that's right. You know, we know Antoine is not just a former terrific athlete himself. The man's an artist. I know he loves the checkerboard print. I know he's a fan of the panone colors, simply known as Pantoine. By the way, Coste Rosario had a real nice basket to put the Bulldogs on top by two. So, that's that's their first lead of the evening. correction. They did have a lead in the first half. It was so >> very early. >> It's gone back and forth, right? Very early. >> And I I I have a feeling we're going to
go back and forth some more in this one. >> Great look by number one there. That was Figuro. >> Yeah, Figaro. >> And Alindor able to get the rebound. >> Oh, >> and that's going to be a jump ball. It's going to stay with the Crimson Tide. Good defense by the Bulldogs. I like the assertiveness by Alundor. Put the ball on the deck. He's going to go up with it. But good defense creating the jump ball. Fortunately for the Tide, the arrow is in their favor. So they'll they they will not lose possession. >> Yeah. And again, Josh, we we've seen it time and time again. I mean, that that's how Everett has been able to force the fouls in the paint. They they're very aggressive trying to get the ball up. Now, unfortunately, wasn't
able to make the connection and, you know, put the ball up, but I'll take a jump ball. reset. >> Absolutely. Look at And you're you're in your offense now. 10 seconds on the shot clock >> as we approach the 6-minute mark of the second quarter. Alendor in traffic gets a good look. That doesn't go. He gets his own rebound. That doesn't go. He's going to get the rebound again. This time it's it's Sanchez who battles with it. And this is going to be a foul. Good sportsmanship right there by Yankee helping him up. But that's going to be a foul. Nice effort by Sanchez just scrapping for that loose ball, coming up with it. I thought it was maybe going to be another jump, but he did have firm possession. And if you have firm
possession, otherwise it's it's a reaching foul. So, Crimson Tide will once again retain the basketball. >> And there it is right there. Look at him. He just grabs the ball, gets a hold of it. You know, great job by Yankee trying to get the ball for your team. Uh but Sanchez, someone that we don't see too too often on the court, but what an absolute animal when he is on the court. >> Oh yeah, no doubt. No doubt about it. And you saw it right there. You saw it right there on the replay. Now, unfortunately, the Tide did lose the possession. The big fella's back into the game. Kim Adams Dormavville, who I I might want to point out, number 23, the big sophomore for the Tide. He was Oh, pause for a moment. Okay,
Emanuel missed that. He He was unavailable for the Chelsea game. He was in street clothes. And the young sophomore has really provided some presence off the bench. How about presence right there going by way of Wesley Christomo from three. >> Bulldogs now quietly putting together some some momentum on this side. Tide have yet to find uh any points this quarter. >> Oh, Kim Dormville with the rebound that gets stripped away. That was number 10 Josiah Peralta. >> Peralta does he he he's made a few really good plays uh in the game so far. Uh great job by eight Musroo finding Alendor >> and I think that was uh Yankee that made the play there. >> That was Yeah, Yankee came up making the play. Bulldogs up by five. There's a look at Muserude getting back.
>> Now Josh, if I wasn't told that Eight Moose was nursing an ankle injury, I wouldn't have known. You know, he absolute athlete. What what a mammal. >> Yeah. No, the guy's a mammal. Like talking about warm-blooded mammals here. A Muserude's bringing it out there, not being slowed down. And like I said, you want him on the floor. I tell you what, right now though, the tide defensively, the the Bulldogs are getting to the basket right now. And you see the quick timeout called by Coach Boyce. That's one thing that definitely has his attention. He'll be discussing it with his team inside this huddle and trying to shore that up. >> Yeah, you you definitely want to try and equalize the points at least here. I mean, you're down by seven. You still got 444
left to play here, but something's got to change from the tide side. I mean, it was 11:11 and so far we're about halfway through the quarter and you haven't scored once. >> Yeah. No, that's that's a key thing to point out. This was this was 1111 at the end of one and it's a 70 L English right now to start this quarter and you just saw the basket at at the end right prior to that timeout by Yuri Figuro. But again, Bulldogs really starting to they they they've been moving the basketball very well. Now they're starting to knock down some shots. And for the Crimson Tide, just get back to what you do defensively. You're you're traditionally led by your defense. One thing that Coach Boyce and his staff, they preach and that's why you
saw that timeout so quickly called because he knows that they need to reset, kind of clear their mind, get back to the the defense that we know that they can play. And right now, credit, give credit where it's due again. English doing a very good job getting to their spots and moving the basketball. Great things happen when the ball is moving around. You don't want it to hit the deck so much. You don't want guys dribbling the air out of it. You want it moving around, finding the open man, and then trusting that each guy is a is capable of bringing offense to the table when their time comes. Right. So, back after the timeout, tied down by seven. This is English's largest lead of the game. A Muserude throwing it all the way across
the four court. Uh finding Vasquez. And this is this is where the I've seen the Tide struggle right here. It's in the paint. The I think you got to get the Nelson's in there maybe and start looking outside. >> Yeah. No, it it's definitely starting to bog down for them a little bit down low. And um right now another another key defensive play by the Bulldogs. They're getting that ball back. >> But again, Josh, you said it. The the Tide have historically been a defensive team and we're starting to see it come back. It's >> going to be Peralta out in the ball for here. So you're going to watch watch those cutters to the basket by English. Nice job by King Dosta hitting the deck, keeping it from a traveling violation and good job
by Nathaniel Nelson keeping it alive and then he gets it back able to get the tide set into their offense. >> Yeah, and if you take a look uh Josh right there, you can see that the Bulldogs are trying to bring make you come into the paint so that they can completely smother you down. Uh Vasquez, what he usually loves to see that shot, but there's a lot of pressure coming from the Bulldogs right now. >> Yeah, I know. Uh he is master of the mid-range, but it it unable to go there and by way of good defense. And then what did go there was a really nice basket off the window by Christomo. Uh and Christomo has now had the three-pointer and then that basket off the window. So a blend of a little
outside inside to his game. And the Bulldogs, don't look now. They're up by nine. Oh, that's the guy right there. That's big time. Nathaniel Nelson with a three that the Tide desperately needed. >> Now, John, that was their first score in about 5 minutes. >> Yeah. Well, again, if you're keeping track, that was a 9-0 run by the Bulldogs, but hey, the the the Bulldogs, the shots are still flying. That was Josiah Peralta, and that was a three-pointer. But I tell you what, Josh, what I like to see here is that we're keeping the lead within single digits. I think that's going to be the key here. You know, the Bulldogs, they run fast that they're going to get worn out. We keep swapping players in and out. So, we got fresh fresh bodies on
the on the court. And I think that's going to be the key to this game. >> And and right there on that last last possession, basket made by Vasquez all by way of really good ball movement. Quick movement, finding the cutter to the basket. That's when the Tide are at their best. And you said it. While this seems to be all Lin English right now and they're playing very well, it's a seven-point game. >> Yeah. >> Right. I mean, it's so just I think I think sometimes you have to look at the scoreboard, take a breath like, hey, we're right there. Couple possessions, we're right back. >> Yeah. I mean, if you could keep it reasonable, we've seen we've seen a lot more happen in a lot less time. Uh Josh, and I'm really looking
forward to seeing how Jerry Boyce works his way out of this one. >> Yeah. Well, he's always been great with the halftime adjustments. >> Yeah. >> And he's also looking at this final 1 minute 52 on the clock like, "Hey, let's continue. Let's get the momentum going into into break. I don't need you to necessarily have the lead, but let's continue to shrink this deficit. Let's start to put our print on this game and then we'll talk about it inside the locker room at halftime and put together a great second half. >> Oh, that's the move right there. >> Yeah, we just said it. He's like a plasma ra las las las las las las las las las las las las las las las las las las las las laser gun from Halo. >> Wa
>> at that distance. >> Oh man, that was beautiful. The little turn around. And that's when Vasquez is at his best. Let's see if that gets him going. Ba Vasquez with the last four points for the Tide. That's a very good thing for Crimson Tide fans. Nice job by King Dosta. Caught himself in no man's land. Keeps the possession alive by throwing it off an English player. Crimson Tide basketball. 125 now left in this first half. Tied down by five. >> Alundor going to end the ball for the Tide here. Nice. >> What a great job. Like I said, Josh, it's been really tough for the Tide to get inside the paint and score. And you know, King Dosta, he's just showing me it is doable. Let me cook. All right, let him cook is
right. And King Dosta with the quick steal. A little bit of a gimme gimme those as he got that quick little theft right there. at eight. Museroo did a great job keeping it inbounds right in front of coach boys. You know he liked that. You know he left the corner three just like that. Jaden Alendor tickles it from downtown. This game is tied. How about that? I was talking about hey maybe you don't need to get the lead. You just want momentum. The game is tied up right now. How's that for momentum >> Josh? I tell you and the Tide do this time and time again to us. You know they make us nervous. They're down and then they come back with a vengeance and it's all the defense. You know, you you got to
make the points offensively, but you know what gets the ball? The defense. >> No doubt. No doubt. Vasquez unable to make from mid-range. Bulldogs have it now. Tide doing a great job getting back. Cost Rosario hits a big one. >> Yeah, Rosario knew he was getting that, too. He had such style when he was swishing that ball. >> Yeah, that was big. Oh, and they throw it away right there. And that's a costly one. >> Yeah. 9 seconds left. >> That's going to get a long look from Coach Boyce. 9 seconds left. Want that final possession. Back to the tide defense now. >> He's not happy about that one, Josh. >> No. >> But all right, you could still finish strong with these nine seconds. Let's defend. Let's keep this at three. >> Let's just
keep doing what you've been doing this entire quarter. Keep them off the board. And I believe the Tide forced the foul to stop the points there. Correct. >> Well, yeah. I mean, they they they definitely cut down the lane. I think they were trying to do so. and and and and perform it with defense that wasn't creating the foul, but it wasn't a shooting foul. Not the worst thing. 3 seconds on the clock. This is going to go up pretty quickly. So, let's defend the pass. Oh, nice play right there. King D Costa got a hand on it, but Daniel Nelson's going to try it from downtown. >> Oh my goodness, Josh. >> He almost threw that one in. >> What a great steal. What a great play by Alendor. Almost making the three on
the buzzer beater. >> Yeah. No, that was big. King Dosta did a great job of of he got a hand on the inbound pass. So, that's what that was able to get the tide going. And then Nathaniel Nelson almost put one in from half court. That would have been I mean, we would have been sending that one to ESPN or uh or Nessen, whoever's want to take it. We'll go local if you need it, right? But hey, talk about local right now. EHS TV bringing the action, Justin. That was a wild first half. And again, I think we got that momentum that we were looking for from the Crimson Tide. Unfortunately, Coste Rosario did get a three back there at the end to give the Bulldogs that three-point lead back. But I did really like
the way the Crimson Tide finished that second quarter. >> Yeah, Josh. I like the way, like I said, Jerry Boyce, he saw that the man coverage wasn't working. He went more into a zone, like a hybrid zone, I'll say. Uh he he went back into the zone. He started making more plays defensively. And all credit to the Tide, you know, you were down by I think they were up, but Lynn was up by nine. Nine points. Yeah. 20 to 11. >> You you were up by nine. Uh all all credit to the tide there. I mean, you you tied the game with seconds left in the quarter and then unfortunately the Bulldogs made a three, but I I'd rather go in down by three to the second half than uh than, you know, down by
nine. >> No, listen and and and I I always love to see what Coach Boyce has in store when he comes out of the locker room at halftime. He's always done a really good job with his adjustments. So, we this is anyone's game right now. Don't go anywhere, but we have a really good one coming your way with a whole second half waiting awaiting us. But it's the Bulldogs on top after one half of play. 26-23. We'll be back soon with more action here in the second half. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Hey, Heat. Heat. Heat. N. Heat. All right, second half is just moments away from beginning. The Lin English Bulldogs find themselves on top 26-23. If you're just joining us, this has been a back and forth game. Although we did
see the Bulldogs really rise up and come out of that kennel strong to start that second quarter. They had a 9-0 run that that started the quarter, but then the Tide did find their footing and they they really they trimmed it. They tied it up just before a three-pointer by English gave them that three-point lead. But, uh, Josh Delgazo alongside Justin Han. Justin, still a lot of good things we saw from the end of that second quarter. And then uh what are you hoping to see for the Tide in this second half? >> Yeah, Josh, the the name of the game for me is uh take care of the ball here. I mean, defensively, you've been doing a really good job stopping them once you got into a rhythm. I want to see you get
back into the rhythm. You know, halftime, you know, Boyce, you you know him in the locker room. and he's really big on, you know, the dedication to the team and, you know, making things happen. So, I'm really looking forward to seeing how the changes that he made, as you can see, back into the zone, like I said, um how the changes he made is going to impact this game. Great steal by the Tide there. >> Yeah, I know, right? Exactly what you want to see. That Tide defense creating the steal to start things up. >> And again, Josh, you're only down by three. go into the half. It could have been worst case scenario, you're down by nine. >> Well, being aggressive is Jade Nelson. And he was the Crimson Tides leading scorer in that
first half with seven points. Christian Vasquez had four. Samir King Dosta with four. And then Emanuel Nelson and Nathaniel Nelson with three each with Josiah Pappia with two. And then leading the way for the Bulldogs, their leading scorer. Actually, they're very balanced. The Bulldogs really uh terrific balance. Renebi Cost Rosario has seven, Yuri Figueroa has five, Christoimo has five, Yankee has five, and then Miguel Pñena with four, and Josiah Peralta with three. So that's about as balanced as it gets for the Bulldogs as they have the three-point lead. But Alysor, a guy we always like to see at the foul line. And again, that shows he's being aggressive, which is what you want to see. You always want an aggressive Jaden Alendor. Makes a lot of things happen. He's a very good finisher around the
rim. Good athlete. Just works very hard. I mean, he's the top scorer for a reason, Josh. And we've seen it in the past few games. At the beginning of the season, it was all Christian Vasquez is all we were talking about. But as the season progressed, we saw the junior Alundor start to take command of this offense, start to, you know, make more plays happen. And you really love to see that. You love to see the younger underassman come and take charge because you know what that means, Josh? Next season, it's going to be even better. That's their show, right? But the show's still playing right now, too. Good defense by King Dosta. I don't know if the foul was called just before that or if they're calling it on Samir. Let's see here. It's
going to be a shooting foul. I thought King Dosta did a really nice job at the rim, but the the foul might have been on the way up just before that. >> Yeah, I believe the foul was on Vasquez. >> Here's a look at Yeah. Okay. Yeah, Vasquez gets the foul >> and um >> Yeah, unfortunately just got a hand on the arm there. >> That's fair. When you're playing aggressive, that tends to happen though. >> Yankee goes one for two at the line. Saul Flores coming into the game here. And you Oh, nice look. Great feed from Jaden Sanchez to find King D. Costa. >> Yeah. And if there's anyone you want to find underneath the basket, there's two guys that come to mind and it's Alendor and King Dosta. >> And then Sanchez
with a really nice steal and then gets the tide set up in their offense. So really good start by Jaden Sanchez. >> Alendor just a little bit short there. But you know, Jaden, he's been just a remarkable remarkable player. >> And that was a good good look. You want him taking that shot. He He loves the corner three. We've already seen him make one tonight from the corner. That was a good open look. Shots that are encouraged. And that tie defense comes up big yet again. >> Layup unable to fall. And there's that >> unlucky rim out there. I mean, we we've seen it a few times by Yankee. You know, he's been almost perfect and very rare for that to happen to him. Absendor playing a little ping pong. >> I saw that. >>
You know what? I like what the Tide's doing here. They're taking it back to science class, Josh. Talking about a little osmosis. You know, maybe we already talked about the mitochondria today, but they're taking it back to science class, bringing it back to the basics. >> Yeah, you got to go to the basics. Osmosis always really wowed me. You could see it with that defense right there. All right, here we go. Bulldogs trying to get it up quick. And the Bulldogs, you know, that they came out and they looked pretty strong. Uh, >> and they're only going to get stronger, it looks like. >> Well, they're going to call Alundor for a foul on the three-point attempt. So, that's going to be three free throws coming up for Josiah Peralta. >> And Josh, I'm not
sure if I agree with that one. I mean, you know that Alendor, it was a little he was a little late to the party. >> Yeah, maybe they they might be saying that he he might have come he might have been in the area of the landing zone from the shooter. And uh that's one thing that they've really tried to resolve. They don't want any turned ankles or anything like that. So I I I believe that's what brought that foul call into the fold. >> Yeah. Let's take a look at it. >> Yeah. I guess he was in the landing zone there. It's close, but those those those are tough calls, but again, I I see why they they exist. Again, you it's it's an easy way to turn an ankle. >> It's all about
the safety for the players. >> Correct. >> Oh, nice job by Sanchez again creating the steel. Jump ball is the call and it's going to be Crimson Tide basketball. So, that actually works out very well. >> Yeah, >> we're gonna have a timeout called on the floor and that'll bring our Crimson Tide cheerleaders back on. Why not? >> You know what I loved about that replay that we just saw with the Alindorf foul. That was by Benley. Uh, and this is only his second time on camera. And what a phenomenal job he's been doing. >> That's right. That's our very own Benley Pyram. He's a junior. Second game with us. And Benley is doing a really nice job on that baseline camera. Has a photographer, a a photography background. Yep. >> Wow. That translated very
easily. And uh I tell you what, he's he's quite the videographer. There there's a look at our guy. >> There he is. >> Bentley Pyram. He doesn't want to grow up. >> I love it. >> Looks a little grumpy tonight. >> No, you know what happened. >> That's the hyperfocus. >> Oh, yeah. >> All right. And the cheerleading is coming out to uh the the uh the jukebox was muted, so why not? Chewing is out here. And uh you know, we're always here for a good laugh. and and and and always well played. Nice job, girls. I know that the uh you know, a little technical difficulties there, but that doesn't sort out our cheerleaders and their spirit, huh? Come on. Kidding me >> now. Now, here's a Bluetooth. It wasn't operating right. >> Well,
you know, here's a Bluetooth. It comes on when it wants to. You know, it never wants to pair correctly. It's been the cause of a bunch of problems. And I tell you, Josh, it it it I think we might need to return these Bigfoots. >> I tell you what, we're not returning as Adam Muserude comes up with the steel, the breakaway. Take that, Bigfoot. As Muserude takes that right to the lane. And the Bigfoot is the uh that's referencing the speaker. That's the style speaker for those of you at home maybe not in the know. It's a Bigfoot speaker. Cost a lot of money. Eh, not sure it nets that value. We can get Joe Camley on a hot take for that one. >> Joe Camley's tech talks. >> Oh yeah. >> Oh, I think
that's got to be a series. What do you think, Joe? >> Love that. >> He'll love that. >> Oh wow. That's a nice pass in transition. >> Great steal by Muserude though. >> Better steal. >> Just over the hands of Vasquez there. >> Yeah, just a little long right there. Great steal, but just led Vasquez a little bit too far in front. So, English basketball up by one. >> Josh, you look at the record of these Bulldogs and you you wouldn't expect it to be this close. What a what an effort from them. >> I'm glad you pointed that out. Very deceiving and and again, it it makes you do a double, even a triple take because we'll keep talking about it. Lynn English is a powerhouse year after year. So to see them with
a three and N record, it it it kind of leaves you a little bewildered and then wow, nice basket by Vasquez. Beautiful take right there, but then you you see it, right? You you watch them and we talked about in the pregame and this doesn't look like a three-in team. They're battling right now. They move the basketball very well. They have a few different guys that can score. They they've bought in defensively. So, I mean, you know, from what I'm seeing from head coach Dena Waveza and his squad is that don't let our record fool you. We're figuring this out. And um who knows, maybe they're going to go on a late run here. Hopefully, it doesn't start with one tonight. But this game has been tight from the very beginning. And I'm just feel
like we're destined that this one's going down to the wire as it did when they met back in Lynn on January 6th. You know what I like about uh number three for the Bulldogs, Isaac Yankee. Uh he's always making shots that maybe are a little too difficult to make, but he's always given the attempt underneath the basket. Uh you know, just a phenomenal athlete and he's doing a really great job. But here is your boy and mine, Nathaniel Nelson, for two points. >> He's the guy. Great job by Nathaniel. Nice pass to find him. and uh tied now up by three. And this is their largest lead since early on. We'll take it right now. >> And for for you folks at home, you know why we always get excited when the Nelson's hit the
court. It's because we know some points are about to happen, but it's also because they are the underassman. They're the future of the Crimson Tide. And the future's looking bright under the leadership of Alendor and the Nelson's. >> Oh yeah. You got and then you got Samir King Deosta as well. >> And again, we know we still got plenty left of this season, but you're always looking. You're always looking to see what's next in the Well, >> well, you know what's better than your first one? The next one. >> That's what they say. I heard about that. I I saw that in an episode of Star Trek once. Alador from three. He's got it. Jaden Alidor continuing to make it rain from from the forecast. opening up the roof here on the big house in
the big hill. >> Now, hopefully hopefully it doesn't open up the forecast too much because uh we just got past our first snowstorm of the year. And uh talk about that two feet. Who knew? >> Who knew? >> Yeah. You know, Josh, uh credit credit to the DPW. I don't know how those guys do it in the city. Just cleaning up the streets, making everything really nice. And big credit where credit's due. >> Yeah, I know. Big credit. And big credit to Jaden Alendor. You just saw that replay. Really good ball movement. He settled in nicely uh in the wing position of the perimeter knocking that down. That's Alson Doris second three-pointer. He is leading the way. He's the game's leading scorer with 12 points. >> I had no doubt. Had no doubt. You said
games leading scorer. Immediately my mind goes to number 14. >> Yeah. Yeah. He's really he's he's really been terrific. He's having a great season and like I said, he works really hard. I mean, all these players do. I mean, that's how they earn their minutes on the floor. That's one thing that's preached by coach Boyce. You're gonna you're gonna you're going to earn your minutes by giving maximum effort and um Alendor epitomizes that. He's he's very talented as well. So, there's a lot of lot of natural ability paired up with a a very strong work ethic. And very happy to see what Jay Nandor has been able to do in his junior season here. just f I tell you if I'm boys and I'm talking to the team right there I'm saying great you know
we got out of our little rut we're getting into our into our groove now let's keep it up let's not get comfortable because we've seen what happens when we do get comfortable with the Bulldogs and that's they're going to start scoring like madmen almost there was a good look at three-pointer they got the rebound but oh knocked away it's >> it's going to be tied ball >> tied basketball nice job nice Job by the defense right there. See >> tied up by six. >> Great play by Vasquez there. >> Oh yeah, Vasquez. Really nice job. >> Oh, nice move by Nelson. That was pretty up fake. Flo doesn't go, but really nice move. And it looks like the the Bulldogs here are having a hard time getting it inside. And as I say that, >>
you know, that real missed opportunity. >> Yeah, that was their best look yet, Justin. But otherwise, you you're dead on. You're right. I mean, they've had a really hard time getting anything going. That tied zone is has been stifling. >> Fast shot. >> He's on. >> You know what? Like I said, he's got a laser beam once he gets right inside the paint. A little fadeaway action Vasquez. >> He's got it queuing now. >> Oh, nice steal by eight Muserude. How's my ankle? He says, "Oh, the drop off." Oh, eight Muserude. Very pretty. >> I love Muserude because he never plays selfish basketball. He's always about how can we get more points on the board and dumping it off to Christian Vasquez right there. Absolutely. Gets you more points on the board, Josh. >> And
now Vasquez, all of a sudden he's giving Alindor a run for his money for game's leading scoreer. Vasquez with 10. >> Oh, good steal. Very good steal by Chris Ostiml. Again, John, I can't say this enough. If you if you know coach didn't come up and tell us that Muserude was nursing his ankle right now. >> You'd never know it. >> You'd never know. >> Yeah. No, he's he's baldled out and he's he's actually logged in a lot of minutes, too. He's he's uh he's doing just fine. >> Nice take by Alindor. Doesn't go. But everything everything was right but the finish. I love it when Alendor gets angry. You can see it in his eyes. A Museru going to take some points of his own here. But no, when Alendor gets angry, you can
see it on his face. You can see the determination to win. And that's what the Tide needed and it's showing here in the second half. Well, I tell you what, that has propelled the Tide into a 12point well now a 10-point advantage. But Tide really putting some big time fingerprints on this third quarter. We talked about the adjustments. Coach Boyce has them rolling right now. Oh, nice job, Vasquez. Gets it up. Oh, just rimed out. >> What an effort by Christian Vasquez. >> What an effort. What a quarter. >> Yeah, he could have kept that down, but no, he's going to go for the points. And that's the name of the game. I love what the Tide has been doing. And it's all coming. And what did I say at the top of the half,
Josh? It's all coming defensively. They're playing a great zone defense. They're not letting the the Bulldogs come into the paint and that is creating more and more points. Josh, >> well, you're going to get a look at at a little bit of a reel here. You see the Alendor three that had them going. Then again, ball movement. Eight Museroo to Alendor. Beautiful look to Vasquez. He loves that area of the floor. All he needs is just a little bit of space and he's well within range. And then this is the play right here. Eight Moose with the steal. Watch the drop off. He gives it off to Vasquez. Enough to get the defender in the air. Easy bunny for Vasquez. >> It was juicy. >> That was nice right there. >> It was juicy. And
again, I said it. Eight. Muserude has never played selfish basketball here. You could have been selfish. You could have got the points, but that could have very well got defended, but no. You saw Vasquez in your peripherals, and you're like, let's dump it off to him. We know he can score. >> Yeah, I know. That was big. And that's why the Tide are enjoying a 10-point lead, 4232 as we head into this fourth quarter. I mean, they turned what would have been a one two possession game and they just spun it on its head. Now, again, we saw this a little bit earlier in the second quarter where Len English was up by nine and then that dwindled. So now Lin English is going to try to do the same thing and evaporate this Crimson
Tide storm in this lead. But I tell you what, good place to be. And the Tide have possession to start off the fourth quarter. It's just a great place to be if you're the tide here. I I mean, you you came in, you had the game leading points, right? I mean, Alindor, our game leading scoreer, but right there, the biggest lead and we just got it back. >> Well, it's actually 13 points now. >> And that was a three-pointer right there by Emanuel Nelson. So, if one Nelson doesn't knock it down, the other Nelson does. >> Nelson squared for the folks at home. There's two of them on the floor and they both can ball. And the only thing we need right now is number 12, Jal Nelson to come in. And then we got
Nelson's cubed. >> Oh, you math lovers. >> Oh, I tell you what, if Mrs. Delgazo is watching, she's a math teacher. She knows what that stuff means. Do I? Nope. But it sounds the part. >> Oh, wow. Right through the hands of Vasquez. Good hands on it. Oh, that's going to be a foul. That definitely was a reach. >> Yeah. Yeah. You know, you just getting a little bit too into it right there. uh you know, can't let that happen. >> Good good uh good hands right there. Um but but ultimately a little too good as it caught Yeah. >> the uh Isaac Yankee. So Yankee shakes it off. Took it he took it like a champ and that is a souvenir. Steve Gallagher actually got hands on it. Unable to corral it for long
off the uh off the hands of Gallagher. I don't know if you are you telling me that the assistant athletic director Steve Gallagher is a part of this game right now? That's what I saw. I saw Steve sitting courtside now. Maybe it was just a quick drop just to Ah, yeah. Now he booted it. Steve booted that. Come on, Stevie. We catch everything here. Nice job by the crew. Don't miss a thing. I know Bird was all over that one. Good job, crew. We'll talk to Steve about that. We'll have to have a closed door meeting and uh have to have him stay late one day and and and handle those. All right, so we got action here on the court. Tied up by 13. Great job by the Tide. That's how you move it.
>> Great, great ball movement by the Crimson Tide. The second to the last pass was a little bit behind, but they stuck with it. But then Alendor did a great job recovering and then dropping it off for Vasquez, who now has himself two freebies coming up at the line. >> Yeah, absolutely, Josh. And the thing is is like normally, you know, I love it when people watch our broadcast, but we don't cover every game. Now, if you want to go ahead and keep track of all the Ever Crimson Tide athletics, you can go to the App Store and you can search in Evercrim Tide Athletics in the App Store or the Google Play Store. And guess what? We got ourselves a brand spanking new app. Talk about it. Oh, it's fantastic. You get to see
all the stats. You get to see all the upcoming games. I highly recommend it. Yeah, they they've doing a great job with that. The athletics office is really really crushing it on that scene and uh I I really love that you highlighted that. It it it just brings further volume to the platform of what of what all of this is showcasing our young athletes, >> student athletes, of course. >> Yeah. >> Good defense. Baseline jumper. Oh, wow. That was a big shot. Isaac Yankee welldefended. Knocks that down. Bulldogs needed that. Down by 12. Crimson Tide really quick and offensively. >> What I like seeing there is, you know, Nathaniel Nelson, he went for the shot, but then Emanuel Nelson saw that the shot maybe a little bit short, you know, might be off his target.
Rushed in. unfortunately unable to get the rebound and uh Bulldogs able to take over here, but great effort by Emanuel Nelson there. >> Yeah. No, I I I agree. That was really really good. That's what you want to see. I mean, like I said, these guys the the way they get their minutes is you you are it it's full throttle all the time. And if not, you're going to find yourself quickly on the bench. And that's one thing that I always love to see. Nice pass. Oh, how about that movement? There it is right there. There it is. The ball movement. The finish by Vasquez off the window. That's what it looks like when you draw this up at home when you're when you're just sitting back. This is what it looks like. That was
fundamentally sound. >> Yeah, what a great job. You know, Nathaniel Nelson dumping the ball to Christian Vasquez. Vasquez clearly happy about that one. and he said, "Let's go." >> No, that was great. Good look at the replay. And uh that's that's exactly what you want to see. That was really really pretty stuff right there. >> Hey, hey, Bird. Bird, thanks for that replay. >> Yeah, that was great stuff, Bird as always. The wings are always spread back in the control room. Bird knows how to get it done. >> Oh, yeah. >> No droppings there. No, >> no. you know, he's on his little perch looking over looking over our our camera people. He's great making sure, you know, and he's recording at the right times. He's doing a great job. >> He's a great bird.
And we haven't figured out what kind of bird. I don't know if he's a parakeet. I don't sure he's a penguin. >> Is he a cockatu? You know, we're not really sure. There he is right there. The bird. We got a bird sighting right there. >> Oh, I love it. >> Wow. It's not often you have birds indoors, but we have one that's well tamed. And uh I know I know Camley's got the glove that catches the falcon talent when it comes back. You know the the bird glove. >> So uh bird's back on the uh the the cam we wrist with the talons locked into the lever. Great stuff guys. Love love what's happening back there. Love getting early. This is great. >> Vasquez uh taking one shot here. >> Yeah, that's right. Cuz
that was a three-pointer of the oldfashioned way before they had a three-point line. The only way you made threes was the hoop and some harm. That's what Vasquez has done tonight. There's a good look at the senior sharp shooter. He's put together quite a game. Oo, just rims out. >> Now, Josh, with those points, where does he land on the uh the total >> on the totals right now? I got >> I got Vasquez for 14. >> Okay. >> And Alindor >> 15. >> I have Alundor. I got Alindor for 15. That's right. Good. Yeah. So Alindor So Alendor's got to buy one. How about the duo though? 15 and 14 points respectively. Like good place to be. >> Yeah. You know what I don't like is uh you know Allison Dory could have went
for two. Got his number. You know he is number 14 but also got to be a team player. >> Got to be a team guy. Nice basket right there by number 14. I don't know if that's a uh a number they just brought in. I I don't have a 14 on my score sheet. >> The old 14 there, >> but a nice basket nonetheless by number 14 for the Bulldogs. Oh, good entry pass to Alindor. Comes back to Nathaniel Nelson. Good job by the Tide moving it around. >> Yeah, and you know what they're looking at right now, Josh. And I I know Antoine's He's already saying it. We're in clock management time, baby. >> Clock management time. Oh wow, >> that's off the window. Well, don't get too cute with the clock cuz the
Bulldogs not laying down and nor should they. And this is still a game that could come down to the balance if these five minutes aren't measured correctly. Number 10, that's Josiah Peralta. Check out this finish. Peralta in traffic. That's a that's a big time finish off the window. Nice job by Josiah. >> Yeah, great job. And he's going to go for the oldfashioned three here. >> That's right. But again, if you're the Tide, you got to take care of the basketball. >> Yeah, you do. You You Yeah. Bubba Bubba Bubba basketball. So, nice job by Peralta who takes this into an eight-point game. This is just an eight-point game unless the Fendor has something to say. That doesn't go. Good luck, though. >> Great rebound by King Dosta. He throws it out to Saul Flores.
Unfortunately, unable to get it. It's going to be Bulldog's ball. Ooh, and again the mystery number 14. >> He may be nameless, but there there's something happening with number 14. Don't look now. This is a fivepoint game. Vasquez shot is no good. He gets his own rebound. Hook shot is good. That was big time by Christian. He's got 16 points and they needed that one off the window. That was big. Tied back up by seven. Tell you what, English has received a jolt with number 14 in the game. That time it was his facilitating to number one, Yuri Figaro. And this one is now in back and forth mode. >> Oh, what a look. >> What a look. >> Oh my goodness. >> Tide really crushing the offensive glass right now. >> Yeah. And Vasquez
did a great job keeping that ball away from two Bulldogs there. >> Yeah. Right. And again, that's huge because then you are able to take so much you're able to get into your set while having more time off the clock. But it is it is worth mentioning right now. You don't want to get you you want to run your sets, right? You don't want to get too caught up in the clock. Again, unfortunately, right now, the best offense is what needs to be available to you. You certainly don't want to rush any possessions, but you certainly can't fall into the >> the we'll just run the clock mode. That's that's still 3:45. There's a lot of time left. But when you make baskets like that, that's big. And that's what Christian Vasquez does. He makes
baskets. >> Again, that's his sweet spot, Josh. If he can get just inside the paint and do a little fadeaway, that's where he loves to be. That's his comfort zone. >> Well, he's got 18 points. He's now the game's leading scorer. >> Eight Muserude hustling. Oh, just out of the hands >> and I I like the look. I I think it was a little high. I think Pappia might have jumped a tad early. Easy for me to say. I'm not on the court trying to take that down. I see what's happening. Papia is trying to catch it and make a a play to the basket. But that's where I think the timing was a little off. It was it was the right idea. But you can see Coach Boyce saying, "Hey, let's be sure of
that pass. Let's make sure that one thing we're doing is we're not having empty trips offensively. We don't want to turn the ball over. >> And yeah, Josh, this this is the things that they that the Tide has to do there. They have to take care of the basketball and make sure that unfortunately things like that don't happen. Isaiah Yankee, Isaac, excuse me, Isaac Yankee is going to take that shot anytime you leave him open and that's going to make for an easy three for him. >> I tell you what, between Yankee and number 14, English has really got it going from from downtown. Yeah, they they really do. And you know, they're they're creeping up on us. You know that they're only down by it's a two-score game, John. >> Yeah, it's I Right.
I mean, it looked like we were going to queue up, you know, the Gino music and then all of a sudden, hey, uh, hold on a second. English has something to say, and that's what you have to be careful that these games could turn really quickly. >> Yeah. >> So, that's going to be tied basketball and that is the discussion cuz this is bonus territory. This is where you want to be with the lead. So on that foul that puts the Crimson Tide uh into shooting free throw mode as Samir King Dosta will go to the line shooting two. Yeah, but also Josh, you want to be make sure that you're being uh careful as well. You're one foul away from making the same mistake that the Bulldogs are making right now. And you know,
King Dosta not someone that you want to see on the line. doesn't miss that often if you're the Bulldogs. >> No. Right. Right. And especially Fallen English, if they can get into the penalty themselves, there's no better way to make a comeback than when you can put points on the board without the clock moving. >> Yeah, we've seen it time and time again. And there he is. There's the King Dosta we know and love. >> I love him. He's great. Good job, King Dosta. One for two. We'll take it. No empty trips. Wow, that's a strong take by number 15. and Yasiel Palino Aras. >> But I like what Dcasta did. He kept his hands up. Didn't force a foul. Didn't get a foul, I should say. And you know, they may have gotten the
points, but at least they're not getting anymore. >> Tell you what, this is a a great finish to what has been a really strong game. These two teams in their second meeting this year, this is what it's looked like. They come down to the wire. >> Yeah. Down to five on the shot clock. >> That's going to be a foul. >> Yeah, >> Alendor strong take to the basket. >> And you you know Al the the tide making me a little nervous bringing the the clock down that close. The shot clock giveth and the shot clock taketh away. And you know, you don't want to give the Bulldogs the uh the morale boost of getting a shot clock violation because once that happens, you know that you can stop the ball and you can steamroll
off that momentum. >> Talking about momentum. Nice job by Alindor keeping that momentum with the Crimson Tide knocking down that first one. >> He's got 16 points. And again, Vasquez now has 18. Oh >> yeah, >> look at that. >> Yeah, >> I know. >> So, how's Alindor doing on his free throws? I was going to ask you, but then I was like, you know, let's wait until he's uh till he's finished here. >> Six for six. Perfect for six. >> Great steal by Christian Vasquez there, but he's going to slow it down a little bit for eight Mus. Great job there. I mean, this is exactly how you have to be playing right now. You're going to force some fouls because, you know, the Bulldogs have to stop the clock here. That's the only
way that you're going to win. Uh, and the Tide doing a great job managing their clock. Christian Vasquez very, very easily could have stolen the ball, drove in, and made the two points, but you know what? What does that do for you? It doesn't waste any clock. So, he gave it over to A Moose and was able to find a lane to drive in. And you now he's at the line which is exactly where he wants to be. >> Yep. He's at the line and uh knocks that one down. >> Christian the prolific scorer that he is with the career that he has had. We've talked about this and it's always worth mentioning. A four-year varsity player, heavy minutes his freshman year. Knocks it down. Christian enters the 20 point club yet again, a place
he commonly lives at as his average hovers around 20 points per game. >> And that's what you don't want right there. And you can hear >> you can hear the bench, the coaches from the bench not pleased with that. >> Yeah. No. Now you just gave the Bulldogs a golden opportunity here. You know, you're only down by seven. Uh that's a three score if you're if you're counting on your fingers and toes like I just did. That's a three score uh total. And uh now you just gave the Bulldogs the opportunity to uh you know force fouls, you know, drive it in hard and you know stop the clock while getting some points on the board. >> Well, Jacobe V knocks down the first one. So yeah, I mean that's exactly it. It's a minute
09627. This this a minute 27. We talk about all the time. This could take a long time if you don't play it right. >> Yeah, >> V knocks them both down. This is a five-point game. Now you're going to face that English fullcourt pressure. >> Vasquez, nice job keeping it in. >> Yeah, great job. And eight Musroo here going to slow it down, which is exactly what the Tide need to be doing. You, you know, you're only up by two scores here. Five points that the Bulldogs have been able to keep it there for a little while now. and just doing a great job throwing the ball around and going to force I believe Lynn took that oh no ever took that timeout excuse me timeout Crimson Tide they discuss things over they're going to
when they come out of this timeout they're going to have 11 seconds on the shot clock to work with 103 on the game clock so again I think it's important here you've already whittleled down the clock quite a bit I wouldn't get too caught up with taking this down to two or 1 seconds at this point off the inbound find your look get into your set and try to put this game away. This is a five-point game, but there's still a lot left that can happen here if you don't play this right. There's a good look at Vasquez. >> Great shot by Vasquez. Josh, can we talk about the Lynn English Bulldogs right now, though? I mean, they were down by 13 and managed to claw their way up. They tied the game and then
every went on a run, but they have fought tooth and nail this entire game. And like we said at the top, you know, their record doesn't reflect the quality of players that this team has. >> Well, and again, I I I that, you know, I'm always going to credit, you know, coach and his staff. I think that speaks to coach Waveza and and his staff that, you know, a never say die attitude. And I tell you what, while they may be going through some growing pains this year with their season, at least what it looks like on paper, this is a team that is is is, you know, again, you could still finish the season the right way and position yourselves for the future. And like I said, one thing that's always premier is that
the English Bulldog program is always right there. >> Nice drop. >> Look there, >> King Dosta. You know, he was just at the right place at the right time. And you know, that's exactly how coach Boyce drew it up. >> Yeah, that was that might have been the prettiest one of the night. It comes at a a really good time that uh you know, trying to put this one away. And that that might have done it. >> Yeah. And if you're the tide here, you need to be careful, especially underneath the paint there. That's the that's the spot where you're going to force a ton of fouls. And I I tell you what, Christian Vasquez did a great job there of forcing one of his own. That does stop the clock. However, it does give
him the opportunity to get more points on the board. But again, Josh, I think the name of the game here is defensive play. Clean, clean, clean defensive play. You can allow, you know, the Bulldogs to get a few points on the board. Preferably not, you know, if you're the Tide, but you got to play it clean here and, you know, just wind that clock down. You only have 33 seconds left. Well, all of them are uh are in caps lock 72 size font from here on out. And that's that's a big one by Vasquez >> knocking that down. >> Now, where'd you get the 72 size font from? >> You know, so in college, right, you know, you had you'd have to knock off like a six- page paper. Now, I don't want to get
too egregious with it, but I I found that if I could maybe sneak in a 72 font, I could literally write two sentences and stretch that thing out to six pages. Now, there was a professor who grew wise to it and said, "Kid, what are you doing?" I said, "Listen, my my printer's been acting funny lately. I have more pages at home." And then I sent him some with wingding. >> Oh, wing. I love the wingings. You know, that's how we send our emails to each other here at the TV studio. >> My sign off is in Winging. >> Love it. Love it. And what I love here is the Tide putting this one away. Now it's Jaden Sanchez going to the line. But what another really good game between these two schools. They know
how to battle and uh like I said, English, a lot to look forward to with Len English. They're not going to be down for long. And like I said, that record's deceiving cuz this team, they they battle. They they play and they got some guys who can score. >> Yeah. Yeah. You know, they did a great job. One name comes to mind and that's number three, Isaac Yankee. He's been an absolute monster for the Bulldogs the entire game. Putting up points every which way. you know, he's got a couple twos, got a couple threes, and you know, was making the plays happen for the Bulldogs. >> And then the second half surge of number 14. Yeah, >> don't know his name, but man, >> lit it up. >> Oh, they're going to get the basket,
>> the hoop, and the foul. >> Yeah, not what you want to see here. I mean, you know, a couple of points on the board here isn't going to hurt you if you're the Tide. However, there's 6 seconds left. Let's end the game cleanly. >> Yeah, there it is. So, check it out. Jacobe V caught the errant shot that didn't get rim and then he went right back up with it. Nice job by V who finishes a perfect night at the line. >> Yeah, Vasquez needs to be a little more careful. >> You could see Coach Boyce talking to his team and you see coach Waveza. Coach Boyce right now is saying, "Listen, we're right there. We're at the finish line. You got to be smart. You got to have eyes open, guys. Let's let's
keep together with our assignments and and finish this thing off >> because right now, if you're in the English huddle, while while you know the chances aren't on your side, but >> if you can steal the ball here, force foul. >> Exly. So, that's exactly it. So, there is a real thing here. When you can when you can apply that kind of fullcourt pressure, if you can come up with the quick steal and either got yourself a trip to the line or a quick three. >> Yeah. or even just a two and made it a one possession game. If you don't think this building will start to get real tight again, we might need to check your pulse. >> So So what you're saying, Josh, >> are you saying there's a chance? >> Samsonite. There's
absolutely a chance. Her name is Samsonite. And if there's a chance, it's the name of the briefcase. Come on. >> Listen, I I I have a Samsonite briefcase. You don't >> get the little clips here. Nice leather. All right, let's see how the Tide see how they can dodge this. And that's exactly it. That That's how you will do it right there. You get the ball in clean, you eat some seconds off the clock, and then you get the foul in the meantime. That's exactly what you want to see. So again, chance, yes, but if you can just avoid that initial steal, you're in position A, especially with that guy at the line, Christian Vasquez. >> That's what you're looking for. >> Oh, yeah. Vasquez doing a great job at the line. And I believe
that, you know, he's also the Tide's also going to be able to in inbound the ball here as well. Correct. >> Uh, no. But, um, if if he knocks these down, I mean, it's >> thinking of a technical foul. >> Correct. Correct. No, that's all right. I I see what you're doing there. A technical Yes. Or if it was a uh, you know, a clear basket foul. Yes. But no. Uh, and he misses that one. But ultimately, this they they really just salted this away because even even with a miss here, two seconds left. I mean, you don't even need to play defense. The two seconds are going to evaporate and there's not a basket you can make that's going to tie this thing up. And he does make the basket for a little extra
to add to his totals. Josh, that's going to be it with Everett up 64- 58. But it was a hardfought battle by the Lynn English Bulldogs. >> Yeah. No, we we talked about it and definitely the the Bulldogs from from start to finish, they gave you everything they had. They really they really helped make us look good in our our pregame because we said, you know, don't let this record fool you and you can't let it fool you. >> The record is what it is. But the Bulldogs have definitely shown that they have a team that's that's going to be rising up very soon and they play the right way. They play hard and for the Crimson Tide, a big one. Another big one. They're all big at this point. Okay. What the Crimson Tide
have done recently is they have won six No, no, now seven of their last eight games. the lone blemish coming to a very good red devil team. But otherwise, this Crimson Tide team now at 8 and six, putting themselves in firm position of making it to the big dance. We're going to let these highlights roll in the background, but the Tide in a very good place to be as they take the season series from the Bulldogs, but both games came down to the wire. But, uh, really nice job by the Crimson Tide. Christian Vasquez leading the way with 21 points tonight. Jade Nelson chipping in with 16. Just efforts all around. We saw great play from Samir King Dcasta, Adam Muserude, Jaden Sanchez, the Nelson's, Emanuel Nelson, Nathaniel Nelson. How about Josiah Papia providing some
good minutes. We saw Saul Flores getting in there. Benji Joseph of course you know again the big fella Kim Adams Dormville gave them some minutes there and and just really allaround effort from the Tide but led by their two scorers as they have been all year. Vasquez and Alendor carrying the weight for the Crimson Tide. Yeah. And Josh we wouldn't be able to show any of you this without our crew. So I just want to give them a shout out as we always do. Our director Anemmani, our technical director, Maria Helena Rangel. Our cameras, camera one, Pedro Enriquei Dilva. Camera two, that's going to be Benley Pyram. Oh no, he's camera three, but it's all right. Tony Lelaw's camera two though. Uh, our video engineer Joe Camley. Replay done by Bird Marshon as it always
is. Jeff Natio, our stream tech. And uh, our photographer, Miguel Ventura. Yiannis, did I miss anybody? Oh, did >> Josh Gazo. >> Hey. Hey, I'm here. I'm here. And you're Justinian and Luther Han. And we are always bringing together a very fun-filled broadcast. But again, love that you highlight the crew. They do an outstanding job and um again, just always happy to to to be in front of you bringing you these moving pictures and some of the still shots from Miguel Vtoriian. But uh a big one here from the Crimson Tide as they take this one 64- 58. They're now 8-6 on the season and we have enjoyed every minute of it. >> And then just one more time, I just want to say that our athletics put a lot of work into the new
uh Crimson Tide Athletics app. It looks great. And just uh you know, take a look at it in the Play Store or the App Store. And I think that's going to wrap it up for us here at the big house on the big hill. I'm Justin Han. He's Josh Delgazo. And we'll see you in the next one.
